The Tower of London
The Tower of London is one of the capital's top tourist attractions. The White Tower is one of the most important historic buildings in the world. Tower Green was the place of many famous executions, including Anne Boleyn,
second wife of Henry VIII, and Lady Jane Grey. The Yeoman Warders, more commonly known as "Beefeaters",
take visitors on entertaining tours of the Tower. One of the Tower's most famous sights are the Ravens. According to
legend the Kingdom and the Tower will fall if the six ravens leave the Tower. The Tower of London is, of
course, home to the British Crown Jewels, including the world's most famous diamonds.
The Tower of London is closed 24th-26th December and 1st January.
The nearest tube station to the Tower of London is Tower Hill. The nearest train stations are Fenchurch Street and
London Bridge. The nearest river access is at Tower Pier. A coach and car park are situated on Lower Thames
