Avoid them like the plague! Topped-up my PAYG with £30 in Jan (2009?) and a month later they notify me that they are closing the service in March of that year. Tried to move my number to another mobile company and despite my best efforts TalkTalk managed to avoid helping me at all due to their bloody-mindedness. They asked me to transfer my phone to their 'new' service but who in their right mind would do that given the shoddy attitude & service that went before? I eventually lost my remaining £20 balance when the network closed.

Talk Talk robs customers like freaking criminal. They charged me almost £200 because the application of the phone runs by itself when i was freaking turning off my internet already. There is no such thing on earth. Customers services are horrible, i wish they got the same horrible things just as they do to us.

The Mobile service to be launched this Autumn by TalkTalk the landline and broadband provider (a separate company since March 2010) will run on the Vodafone Network. It has not been formally named. The posts here relate to either TalkMobile (recently updated) from the Carphone Warehouse running on the Voda net or Fresh (also from CPW) on the T-mobile net. Fresh has ceased operations. The heading TalkTalk Mobile and the details at the top of this page are therefore completely inaccurate and should be amended.

Fresh are or were a really terrible company. I have been trying since the end of Feb to transfer my number over to Tesco network who do a better deal. Fresh just wont release my number fully to Tesco, whose hands are tied. I use this as my work phone as i am self employed. It took over two weeks to get my phone switched over, kept saying people were dialling the wrong number when they called me. Eventually Tesco to the rescue sorted it but one month on I have been cut off again due to it still not being ported over correctly. When i called fresh they said they had cut me off as i hadnt used the phone in a whole month, a JOKE!!! as i use it every day. It has now been over two weeks with no sign of my phone working yet. The fact is that if fresh dont want to relase my number its hard luck to me. GREAT!!! Their customer service could be run better by monkeys (sorry monkeys) They are rude, do not want to listen, cant even put you through to the right person, dont want to deal with fresh problems coz they are finished now. And these are all part of the lovely T Mobile. I could scream.

Absolutely awful Company to deal with. Was advised that Fresh would be finishing on my mobile and sent a new SIM for TalkTalk. I had £12 credit left on pay as you go Fresh but for some reason best known to TalkTalk, I have had no phone now for 5 days. Have spoken with Customer Services (that's a joke in itself) and after 45mins wait was told I shouldn't have been cut off (!!!!) and they would restore my phone today (24hrs later). Still saying SIM not recognised..............aaarrrrggggghhhhhh!!!! BEWARE OF THEM.

I had the dubious honour of dealing with Fresh / Talk Talk last year. A total waste of money. I think this lot are thieves in suits. They are way too keen to sign up customers to an everything package and before long you realise its a cost laden Trojan horse. You would be better to deal with one of the supermarkets than this collection of comedians.

Well, when my 18 month contract finished I received several phone calls from TalkTalk asking me to renew it. In the end I spoke to one of the managers and I asked if I could continue with the service without renewing the contract. Very unwillingly he said that it could be done but the price could not be garanteed to be the same and I would be risking a change in tarif. Well, my opinion is that is they change my tarif I will change providers. They really want you to commit yourself and have you caugh in a contract that does not benefit you at all. Not fair. As for the rest everything ok....

DO NOT TRUST TALK TALK!! A dodgy offshoot of the Carphone Warehouse. The Carphone Warehouse stole my details when purchasing an cable and set up a talk talk account using my details. When I requested the authorisation, the said it was stored in Portugal. Needless to say they couldnt provide it. CRIMINALS!!!!! DO not touch them!!

The cheap package deal looks inviting but you will pay big time once the 18 month contract kicks in. Also they make money off you by getting you to use their 0870 numbers. The only freephone number is that of sales. My phone line and broadband keeps going down on constantly these days. They have a 0870 number which is free to call but only through your talktalk line. So of course you can't use this number if your line is dead !!! - try telling that to the cretins in the customer support (these ones are based in S.Africa). Calling this number through someone else's line cost a lot and they WILL keep you hanging on ages - waited for 35 minutes only to be cut off by them and had to start the call all over again. And now AOL has been taken over by them means things will only get worse.

I'm with Fresh, which is part of TalkTalk Mobile. It is absolutely rubbish! I've been with them for a year and I don't like it for the simple reason of lack of features. You don't get voicemail or MMS. You can get it on Orange for the same price and you get two of those things. Don't switch to them, ever!
