Reviewed by Alex on 24/01/2009 I spend some time each year in the isle of man, and the roaming charges are absolutely absurd! far far higher than orange, vodafone and O2! the customer serice is also shocking! all the staff i have spoke to when i rang the customer service either seemed to have a limited grasp of the english lauguage, or had to ask someone else about every question i had, it took over 45minutes. Also, When you top up £10 or more during the week you get £10 bonus credit for the weekend, which works in the uk, however, this doesnt work when roaming either, even if u top up in another country, and you are not warned of this. their only saving grace is that you can easily changebetween price plans, i.e, one with cheaper txts but dearer calls, one the opposite, and the third plan a bit of both. Reviewed by Lady lead on 22/01/2009 I have discovered that some time my network charge me for services that I have not recieved and when I complain, they still charge me for the call, when it should be them to bear the costs of their mistakes. I also do not like being charged for voice mails, so I just do not listen to them. I feel these charges should be the responsibility of the caller. Rating:

Called customer services for help and advice; kept on hold for 40 minutes, no help offered; told I would have to wait until my contract ran out or I could purchase a sim card for £10; (not much good when you have nothing to put it in). Call centre very unhelpful only wanted to sell not assist with problem. Very poor signal also when out of cities. I am now looking for another contract with another company! Rating:

Delighted with T-Mobile; good coverage, call centre staff are helpful, thorough and friendly - and they'll talk sense on re-pricing your contract if you don't need to upgrade. Everything I could wish for in a network provider and I'll stay with them. Definitely strongly recommended. Rating:

Haven't upgraded even though have been able to for a year and they never let me know I can upgrade and on mytmobile upgrade section of their website, it is never available to me to see what I could upgrade to! Also I don't want to be locked in as all phone upgrades for low tariffs under £25 mean phone upgrades cost loads and I don't use allowance so duped. Reviewed by Martin on 19/11/2008 I've been with T-Mobile two years now on FlexT package and the company is fine, good customer service and their tariffs are very competitive. My only real complaint is network coverage. I live in Bucks and travel a lot through London to the home counties. On trains it seems only I lose signal completely and outside London the signal is pretty weak. I would prefer to try another company but Orange is just too complicated and expensive and O2 is well expensive too. Just Vodaphone to check out, but they used to have no signal at all around here. Reviewed by Pat on 11/11/2008 Live in Bournemouth, T-mobile tells me that 50% coverage in my area which apparently is good, I get a lot of no network coverage. they made me try lots of possibilities and in the end told me to go by the window or door or out of the house to get coverage. Rating:
Reviewed by Missy on 24/10/2008 I've been with T-Mobile for about 3 or 4 years on PAYG, and I can't really fault their service. Whenever I've had queries or problems with my phone, I've been able to ring them up for free and get my query solved within 5 minutes. I get excellent coverage (though maybe that's cos I'm in London anyway?) and I get great incentives everytime I top up (such as free days of using Web'n'Walk, free texts, free minutes). And they always notify me by SMS of any offers that may be applicable to me. One thing that I would comment on is their costumer service seems to be based in India, not necessarily a negative, but something that's seemingly a cost-cutting exercise. Overall I'm a happy costumer, and I certainly don't want to go back to Orange! Rating:
Reviewed by vicki on 06/10/2008 Went from Orange to T mobile because I liked the idea of paying one sum a month and having as many texts and calls as I like. I'm on flex contract and pay 35 pounds a month which is a waste as I get no signal at home at all. So every month I have loads of free calls left which I hve paid for yet I am paying my home phone bill as well. I wish I could use my mobile at home as I have paid for the calls in my contract but the signal is so weak it always cuts out . SOooooo frustrating. Can anyone give me any help??? Rating:
Reviewed by Rachael Parkman on 23/09/2008 I hate t-mobile. I've been a customer for 13 years. My phone keeps turning itself off - the options I've been offered are either go into a shop and get a replacement while it is being repaired (which I can't do for over a week) or request an envelope so they can repair it directly - but no replacment. Surely, other networks courier you a replacement and take away the old one? Their customer service is absolutely non-existant- surly, grumpy, patronising Scottish women who are trained to use your first name at every opportunity and basically tell you to lump it. I've never been so furious. I'm so cross I'm considering paying out of my contract so I can have nothing more to do with them. And that's how they treat loyal customers. What a bunch of shysters. Reviewed by George on 26/08/2008 I recently switched from Vodafone to T-Mobile, and curiously I get better signal in some parts of my house (which is in the countryside in Dorset) than my previous phone. Their customer service is pretty good, and the benefits of joining PAYG T-Mobile far outweighs the benefits of joining Voda! I've had 10 days of free web browsing, 5 free picture messages and £5 free credit as well as only 10p for texts to any network and 15p/min for calls to any network! Plus I joined Stretch, so now I get £10 free credit if I top-up in the week by £10! Brilliant! As far as I'm concerned, T-Mobile are one of the best networks for PAYG mobiles (I wouldn't know about Pay Monthly, however). 5 star IMO! Rating:
Reviewed by Anna on 15/08/2008 My sister is on a contract with T-Mobile and the signal is absolutely shocking. She never bothers taking her phone with her to work anymore as where we live there is just no reception anywhere in the town centre - she has to come to my house to get a signal and even then it's only decent in one room! But she gets lots of rewards which she says are really good. However she will be moving networks when her contract ends as she just can't hack having no signal anywhere. Rating:
Reviewed by Mike McDade on 06/08/2008 I use O2 for phone calls and a mobile on T-Mobile as a bluetooth modem for my lapop as I somtimes work out in the countryside where the only internet connection is over the mobile networks. T-Mobiles WebNWalk caps internet costs at £1 per day on PrePay which is by far the best deal on any network. As a phone line though they are not so good, sometimes my T-Mobile phone gets no signal even in the inner city and at times when I have used it to make calls I've found that they are sometimes dropped, or just don't get though at all. Good for internet / Bad for calls! Rating:

I've been on both pay-as-you-go and contract, (through work), and whilst on contract I had no issues at all as soon as I took up a pay-as-you-go deal I started getting advertising spam from T-Mobile themselves. It's extremely annoying so overall they only get a 3 star. Rating:

There are a few comments on this page regarding loyalty, and tmobile dont give enough to the loyal people, but i have always had pretty much what i wanted off them, at the end of the day, you can't expect to pay peanuts and get the world back, i know where i stand with them. Reception is fab, ok the phone selection isn't as good as some networks but i have done my upgrades in car phone warehouse, so i still get the whole selection others are offering. Reviewed by Colin on 11/02/2008 I have been a T-mobile customer for almost 2 years and always found the service to be very good with good rates and good coverage, however, my 18 month contract concluded last October and they called to offer me another phone. I was offered a Nokia N73 but as I was happy with my MDA Compact II, I put the Nokia in a drawer still in the box. Recently the MDA has been playing up so I swapped over to the Nokia but it won't text and after a week of trying to sort it out myself I eventually phoned T-mobile who tried their best to sort it out. No joy, so we concluded that there was a problem with the phone and it was suggested I go to a T-mobile shop to get it further checked and if faulty they would repair it. Remember this phone had been used for 1 week only. I told the girl on Customer Services that I didn't want a repaired phone and would expect an exchange. In fact, due to the fault occurring the enjoyment of the Nokia was tainted so I suggested that they should offer me another phone. After three phone calls, it was decided that T-mobile would only offer a repair because I had had possession of the phone for more than 28 days. Whilst I have been a loyal customer of T-mobile for 22 months, I did notice that their website offered great deals to new customers but since I was already on the hook as it were I couldn't get anything like the same deal. I am now searching around for a new phone supplier and I shall be switching in the next couple of days. I appreciate that I should have checked the phone out when I first got it but T-mobile should be willing to show some loyalty to their customers in return. New customers.... Great. Existing customers.... tosh. Rating:

Reviewed by George on 05/02/2008 Rubbish. Thats all i can say. The call charges are expensive, (the texting is allright though, the standard 10p). I didn't mind any of this normally because it would still function as a working phone (although i could never seem to pick up much reception anywhere but i assumed this was my phone). Here is why i hate T-Mobile. I lost my phone for a few months and when i found it i was pretty happy. I charged it up and turned it on and tried to call up 150 to put some top up on it and i got a message saying my phone had been deactivated for a certain amount of time of disuse and there would be a £10 reactivating fee. I pressed 5 to speak to one of their operators who was foreign and i could hardly understand her and i asked if i would get the £10 in credit (i probably would have done it if i got the £10 in credit) and she said no so i had a little argument and hung up. Now my phone is COMPLETELY inactive and when i turn it on, instead of saying T-Mobile it says 'inactive sim' and whenever i type a number and press call it just cancels it immediately. My phone, which is a 2004 Sony Ericson K700i will only accept T-Mobile sims (i checked to see if an o2 sim would work) and i am NOT buying another T-Mobile sim, simply on principle so i am going to buy a new phone, a Samsung E250 on o2. My dad uses T-Mobile on a contract and it seems fine for him but if you are an occasional user like me then don't even consider T-Mobile. I had a N-gage on orange which i lost for about a year and half and when i found it i wasn't deactivated and i found i still had my whole 5p in credit. T-Mobile is unfair. Rating:
Reviewed by Anne-marie and Rashelle on 04/02/2008 Rashelle - T-Mobile's alright. Top-up friday is AWFULLY misleading. I personally think they should release some more offers! :D Anne-marie - I like T-Mobile. The price plan Text Appeal is brill and is perfect for people like me who constantly text! But i agree with Rashelle and think Top-Up friday (their only offer) could do with a bit of work. Rating:

Reviewed by Alexander O'Connell on 15/01/2008 I moved from Orange to T-Mobile because Orange (as good as they are) had a weird billing system: You oay a month in advance but pay for your last months calls. I was on Dolphin £35 and raking up bills of £80+. T-Mobile on the other hand seems much...better. I walked looked online and found a Nokia N95 with Flext + Web 'n' Walk for only £37.50 per month and then you get £5 off for the whole contract each month! Only £10 one off payment for the phone. Flext + Web 'n' Walk: This is such a good deal, I have unlimted internaet access with usually costs a bomb and £90 worth of credit to spend as I liked. I got a text a few days later and had only used £5 of it. This is very good in my eyes. Signal: It might be the phone but I have full signal everywhere and I live right on the South Coast of England. (wit ha ll the poo weather). Network Settings phone setup: The phone was already set up in the box ad worked right away. Iahte having to call and set up MMS settings and all that nonsense. Bad: T-mobile lock down theor wap settings if you venture anywhere near a website with and 18 Certificate it will throw back to their page where you needto prove your ID with a Credit Card. It's not a bad Idea but maybe they should ask who the phone is for in the shop and set it up accordingly. Overall: T-Mobile, I have to say I am impressed. 4 Stars. Rating:

I remember the days...thats way back in the days when T-mobile aka "Thiefing- Mobile" used to give you free minutes on pay as you go....not anymore. Everything about T-mobile is a rip off and i think they're are taking the mick with the price plans. I moving over to 02!!! Rating:

Sometimes they've needed slight push in the right direction but if I've ever had a problem they've sorted it. The bad news is the signal. Like Sue I experience no signal where others have plenty. I recently went on a trip into the dales where I had no signal what so ever yet on 02 my friend had full signal. This seems strange because as far as I was aware O2 operate on the one2one (t-mobile) network. General Reception in buildings is also poor and not upto an acceptable standard. In a pocket there is sometimes no reception, having tried different phones and my partner having the same problem I can only assume it's the network. Rating:

Reviewed by Paul on 25/11/2007 I recently purchased a phone from my local T-Mobile store. I found the staff execellent in all aspects knowledge, helpfulness and not too pushy. I needed a new phone mainly for internet access and they recommended a Nokia 6120c which considering the modest price (on pay as you go) or low rental on contract is an absolute bargain. Internet speed is good a lower speeds and excellent if you move to an area with 3.5G. There is an extra cost for using the internet but at £1 a day for occassional users or £7.50 monthly for heavier users is very reasonable. Have had no problems with reception. A couple of years ago, I had ongoing problems with a handset and it kept being sent away for repair, customer relations gave me a brand new black Motorola RAZR to keep, so I would always have a spare phone! :o) Today I realised that I was being charged £1.50 for premium rate texts that were being sent to me ** check your bills by the way, 1 text was sent yesterday and they charged me 3 times for the privilege, 4.50!!!! ** I called T-Mobile and they called the company on my behalf to remove my number from their database and blocked incoming premium rate texts, this all took 1 minute! What can I say?? T-Mobile answer quickly and the operators in my experience are polite and helpful :o) I almost switched to O2 once, I waited in all day to receive my new phone and at 5 PM I called O2 to ask where it was? I was told "it's out of stock," which was helpful considering I waited in all day and no thought to let me know. I told O2 to not bother sending it! Rating:

Reviewed by reece age 13 on 01/11/2007 t-mobile offers a small minority of price plans from text appeal to mates rates, although once you have changed your price plan you will never be able to go onto the original bundle. i wouldn't recommend this network to any audience of viewers as t-mobile hardly offer any "rewards" if you could call them that! where as on vodaphone if you top up £5 a week you are eligible to receive free calls and texts all weekend. i have stuck with t-mobile as all my friends and family are also on this network. i used to by a bundle on t-mobile for £5 which would give me unlimited calls and texts to all t-mobiles customers i stopped buying this as they increased the price to £7.50! to conclude, personally t-mobile is a waste of time effort and money Rating:
Reviewed by Peter Asige on 01/11/2007 I couldn't believe how stingy T-mobile were when roaming with this network abroad it never let a single text message through if your credit went to less than 10p unlike 3 which allowed me at least a text message each day.Everybody warned me that it was an awful network but I'd just bought a new phone locked to T-mobile [not for much longer]. As for rewards. Forget it. Top up Friday and all that you'd be lucky to get through Friday! I've just changed my price plan from 'Everyone' to 'Text appeal' but have just heard that this may be irreversible! Reviewed by jamie on 12/10/2007 Was with T years ago - got fed up and switched to Virgin (who were slightly better but not much). Went to 3, who were awesome for a while... Now back with T (Thx to GF). IT took me 10 mins to get through to the call centre - at a cost of 25p! (which they agreed to refund). Voicemail also eats your credit (so don't bother seeting up your personal outgoing message etc). Tariff is Everyone; bit pricey, tends to eat cred quite quickly. Cheapest tariff they have though. No call waiting, holding, 3way-calling etc (unlike 3 who almost give you your own personal switchboard). As a network, they are usable but I won't be with them long once my £5 has run out. I reckon I'll be going to another network. I'm not happy with the time to get through to the call centre, the time taken to change tariff, the cost of voicemail. Rating:
Reviewed by Paolo on 11/10/2007 I took out an 18 month contract (Something i didn't want to tie myself into but it meant getting more minutes and a free phone) about 4 month ago. I am on a flex tariff and pay £35 a month which gives me £180 worth of credit to use as i like. I am happy with this price plan and NEVER go over my allowance even if i try!! The only thing i am not happy with & i notice this has been mentioned in a previous post is that sometimes (at least 3 times a week) i will try to make a call or send a text and i have no network signal, yet it's in a shopping centre or at my work, somewhere i would usually receive a signal. This is frustrating when you need to contact someone obviously. Because this seems to happen quite often i can't say I'd continue to use T-Mobile after my contract ends and i will return to o2. On another note, if you plan to use your phone abroad be prepared to pay a hefty deposit before leaving UK! Something i wasn't aware I'd have to do when i took out the contract!! Rating:
