Virgin Media offers a choice of more than 100 digital TV channels via cable. An optional V+ service lets you record TV digitally and pause or rewind live TV, similar to the Sky+ service. High Definition TV is also available as an option. There is also a subscription service for accessing a library of movies and popular series.

This score is an average for the different services. We have the Virgin cable TV, broadband and telephone package. The TV is reasonable but prone to glitches; the decoder has had to be changed, but generally it's acceptable. No trouble with broadband yet. But the telephone - we had techinical problems dogging us for ages leaving us with no phone for weeks. Just trying to get through to customer services is a nightmare. But the real agony begins when you do finally get through. Nothing quite matches the rage and fury you feel having to explain to three different call centre operators in India about a wiring fault in Hertfordshire. When the engineer turned up he said he was looking for another job because he was so fed up with the customer service division. He didn't fix the fault by the way, we had to get another engineer to come and repair the repair, with a repeat of the call centre nightmare first. Be warned.

outstanding! after a free phone call i was offered an excellent package that sky could not even compete with. great value for money, superlative customer service and excellent products. can't recommend highly enough.
