I have had bt for 17 mths for 8 mths the internet has crashed out every 20 min it took 7 mths for bt to send enginer to fix it. i still have the same problem the call center have been abusive refused to pay the compensation promised. I have hung up on me 79 times. Now they just hang up straight away when i call to try and get my internet fixed. I'm currently going through trading standards to sort this out as i can not take the abuse i get each time i call. I would not recomend this company to my worst enemy.

I use BT Broadband and I am mostly very happy with the service. The connection is fast and reliable. I have problems with connections maybe 3 or 4 times in a year, which I think is acceptable. However, when I moved house I had major problems. BT messed up the entire process, so that although my phone line was switched the day I moved, I had no broadband connection for nearly two weeks. I was phoning the helpline every day and they would fob me off repeatedly, saying that an engineer would come the next day, or that the problem was at the exchange, etc, etc. I still can't believe that it took two weeks to get an internet connection. Depite that bad experience, which was 6 years ago, I have been pleased with the service since, and have no plans to switch.
