Hi, This phone is fantastic...easily the best I've owned. The keypad is perfect for texting on. It is jam packed full of features. The battery life wasn't great when I bought it..barely two days, but I realised that the problem was the 3G, and also the fact that I had Push Email enabled i.e. keeping an open data connection permanently. I'm now well into day two and with normal use a few calls and texts and surfing the web I have 74% battery left! I'm delighted with this phone. I've owned numerous phones...this is easily the best.

The phone crashed won't start up, it wiped my sim card and memory card, I have lost 200 contacts, all the music I downloaded, all the photos, all my messages. I tried to run a download on the sony ericsson website but nope that hasn't sorted it, and I have just paid for a reconditioned phone and that doesn't work properly either. I am one of loads of people having problems with it. So NO I don't think it is a good phone, and don't recommend it!!!!!!!

I usually use only SE phones because, as a big texter, the predictive text is so good on them. In my opinion, this is the best phone that SE have ever issued. No horrible touch screen - hurrah! I've had it for 6 months on O2 and it gets good reception, has never frozen or dropped a call ever. It has WiFi, BBC iplayer, Youtube and Facebook apps. Comes with great headphones and an excellent tube speaker as well as an 8GB memory card. I usually change my phone as often as I change my underpants lol, but will be sticking with this one. It's got a great big screen, and a smooth satisfying action on the slider, with no 'play' at all beween that and the keypad. The keys are small, but still very easy to text one-handed and at speed. It's simply the best phone I've ever owned. You can get some fabulous contract deals on it at the moment so what are you waiting for?!

Actualy this phone is rubbish because of one and one thing only. It has no PIN protect on messages, pictures, phonebook, call log, calls, etc etc. Basically if you leave it unattended for any period of time someone can simply pick it up and access your data, no matter what data it is, or even make calls. Considering this is a 'flagship' phone, how could Sony make such a basic error. Its back to the well secured SAMSUNG models for me.

This phone is destined to be a legend alongside the SE K800. As all the handset manufacturers gallop towards the touch screen monsters this will probably be one of the last late, great keypad models. What a shame... A shame because the w995 is really a superb phone. I've had mine since last october and had no problems. The build quality is excellent and the music player simply marvellous. Although the keys are small it is a doddle to text on. SE's T9 predictive text the best out there. The screen is large and quite stunning. In fact it looks much better in reality than it does in the photos of it. My friend had one and on seeing hers I just had to have it - and it did not disappoint!

I bought this phone around 4 months ago after a lot of searching through review websites, it generally scores highly (4 to 5 stars) but i'd only give it 3. This is mainly because the camera is so bad, it blurs very easily and due to the fact it's only a single led doesn't work very well in the dark. so it's not the good all-rounder it's supposed to be. Another issue is i've had real trouble with bluetooth operating. As usual with SE the vibrate alert is really weak and i keep missing calls and the speaker is pretty average. Otherwise it's very good. internet is fast, interface is also excellent as usual with SE, key pad is responsive and they are larger than they look (meaning you can even use it with gloves on, unlike touch phones), the walkman is amazing (interface, sound quality, 3.5 jack, and supplied headphones are far better than most).

The key pad on the first phone stopped working, the second and third phones both turned them selves off alot, would vibrate for no reason. I agree this is a action packed phone with all the specs but it is not fault free by any means and o2 confirmed they are having more and more sent back on a similar scale to the C905.

Best phone I've ever owned, and believe me I've owned quite a few. The big screen is a joy to use and the keypad although small is easy to text on (and I'm considered a fat-fingered fool lol!). Everything feels 'right' about this phone - the smooth, clean action of the sliding mechanism, the excellent build quality, the ease of use. To the lady that posted below that the back keeps coming off - make sure the tiny button in between the kickstand is pushed down, this keeps the back on (the missus made the same mistake). I don't like touch screen phones and this is one of the best non touch screens out there. Remember though that this is a 'W' (Walkman) series phone not a 'C' (Cybershot) phone so the attention has been given to the MP3 player rather than the camera. The MP3 player is indeed fantastic, though the camera does not match that of the C905 even if it does have more megapixels. I don't use the camera much anyway, so for me it is perfect. One happy SE customer !

I've had 7 phones altogether and this one is the biggest joke of all! Totally useless, on my third handset and desperate to upgrade now to another phone. The faults are; 1. Camera zoom heavily pixalated and 'no way' can it be 8.1MP. 2. The sim keeps crashing and has, in the three months I've had it, removed 4 precious photo's and 8 music tracks. 3. The Playnow Arena is laughable. Fancy searching for The Beatles on your phone and finding zero tracks??? 4. Everyone else has coverage on Orange when I don't. 5. The battery lasts approx 3 days before it needs charging. And finally, do Orange care when they've got your money...?

Well having recently bought this phone first impressions are very positive and excellent value. Bought this as I wanted a decent phone with the key functions rather than the functions with a phone as an add on if you take the meaning. Not a touch screen but a classic slide phone and it’s easy to hold and use. Sound is very good with a 3.5 jack, FM radio is very good with RDS display, camera is 8.1 megapixels with autofocus and a flash. If this reliable – fingers crossed - and battery seems good at the moment then this is a v good phone. I did look at the competition obviously before buying, Nokia had nothing really as far as I could see (always had Nokias to date), iphone and Blackberry main competitors I guess but I would say that the W995 certainly has better sound, is a better classic phone with excellent core functionality than those phones but of course doesn’t have the wide range of Apps you can buy partic for the iphone. As said if you want a phone first then this is a good option.

It doesnt matter how good all the extras are, if you can only make emergency calls or no calls, then the phone is crap! Apparently the ariel is augmented by the rear cover? Well if is is, then it ain't coz I got better phone reception after it had fallen off (again, a design flaw)

I have had this phone for only a week and I can say it's an amazing phone and by far the best I have ever had. The camera takes great pictures but is quite poor at night under artificial light even with the flash. Sound quality is out of this world and sounds good with or without the speakers or headphones in. It has plenty of entertaining features included although I haven't explored some things yet. The W995 feels like a good quality and doesn't feel plasticky like some other handsets. I have the black version and its really nice. I give this phone full marks and would recommend to anyone who is thinking of buying. I was lucky enough to scoop up one of these in sale where I got 50% off and paid 274.00 rather than 500.00+! What a bargain! I knew it was the phone of my dreams before I bought it through reading plenty of reviews on it and looking up the specs and features but at £500.00+ , it was way out of my price league. I will be sure to have this phone longer than I have ever owned any of my other handsets(i have had around 25 in 11 years) think this phone is my 25th! Lol

Firstly, a reply to Daryl who wrote on 05/01/2010. I am guessing you are on o2 pay-and-go. This network doesn't allow streaming video on some phones. This is a little known or publicised fact. Try it with a SIM from another network, or on Wi-Fi if you are near an access point, it will work, honest! That aside, it is an excellent phone, quite fast in operation, with some brilliant features. As some others may have mentioned, the camera is not the best, probably because of the slow lens, meaning long exposures in low light and therefore potentially blurred images. The LED flash doesn't really go far enough to fill dark scenes with light, like a Xenon flash would do. But hey, this is offset by how good the phone is at just about everything else.

At last! Sony Ericsson have brought out a phone that is not bug ridden, has good build quality and a superb music player. The camera is not *all that* megapixels not being everything, but this is primarily a walkman phone - hence the branding. Seriously, this phone is a joy to use, and after five months of continual heavy use I have not encountered any problems at all. I have no interest in touch screen phones as they seem to be a fingerprint magnet. The sliding mechanism on this phone is great with no wobble and it really does *what it says on the tin*. If you are in any doubt, get it - you won't be dissapponted!

I have to say this is a great phone, its nice and refreshing to go back to a keypad and slide phone with simple menu's and applications. I mainly use my phone to call, text and listen to music so this bad boy ticks all the boxes. The walkman is brilliant, the camera for a walkman phone is quite good, not as good as the one on my satio but i expected this but as I have a digital camera anyway not a major issue. The phone is a nice design and size not to clumpy and fits in my pocket (which my satio didn't). Only downside is the battery life but this is a Sony ericsson issue on all their phones.

Really like the phone, apart from 3 minor niggles. One, there's no-where to put a hand strap on, so when I take it out of my wee case it's like a bar of soap. I've dropped it twice. Second, if like me you are pay-as-you-go, it charges you for an MMS message if you want to send a wee animated icon in your texts. Thirdly, unlike the shape of the W595, which is slightly angled forward to allow ease of opening the slide mechanism, the W995 is completely flush with the lower half of the handset, making it all too easy to push the buttons by mistake when trying to open it. I know it's not much, but enough for me to deduct a star!

Much better in the flesh than in the pictures. The ony one problem ive had is it sometimes rings the wrong people!!! Not a good feature to have in a phone but its only done it twice and switching it off and back on again sorted it. The PC software is good and the camera takes really clear pics. I like the wifi too. I have ordered a few phones and sent them back but definitley sticking with this one! I do think the buttons will be too small for some people. ive got small hands and i sometimes press the wrong ones. They all seem small on Sony Ericssons.

I too upgraded to this phone, only because the SE Satio wasn't available due to it being withdrawn because of software issues. That made me susceptible about the W995, it was the only alternative that suited me, out of five other phones. That said, I was impressed with the 8.1MP photo facility (I previously had the Samsung G600 with 5MP) and did ensure the W995 had a higher amount of MP before I chose it. Most of the other facilities were as they are on the k550i so I was already familiar with them. My phone is on T-Mobile and there's been no problems for over a month now, but I must add my phone came with a 8GB mini-SD memory card, definitely handy to have for holding many playable files, pictures, videos, etc. Probably the W995's outstanding featue is its Walkman mode, where you can swing the phone backwards or up and down to change tracks or fluctuate the volume during playback. I dont see myself doing that often, if at all. I like the flip-up facility, keypad's fine, my phone is in 'Progress Black', very nice.

Since then he has had no problems at all, and for this reason, I have bought one also. I have no complaints with it whatsoever. I have had it 3 months now, its never frozen, never turned itself off, wifi reception is excellent compared to my brother's N97. FREQUENT SOFTWARE ERRORS! I've had the W995 for approx. 8 months now, mostly used for texts, phone calls & watching videos. It has a nasty habit of turning itself off with no warning or signal interruption or after having downloaded (because I don't download anything). I was told this was due to SOFTWARE ERRORS! This is a beautifully designed piece of equipment however; this phone is NOT SUITABLE as a working woman’s companion. It looks nice; technology is fabulous, quality all-round features. BUT! This is a re-occurring problem with this model as was told to me by my network provider who shall remain nameless. Suffices to say that we would be "better connected" - if the phone worked! Repairs CAN BE DONE, but this means having it 'flushed' obviously not down the toilet but that's really all it's fit for until 2-3weeks time when I can have my phone back. Most likely with the same problem.

Guys the only thing I can advice you is that don't buy from Ebay with this kind of stuffs, how can you be so sure that these are genuine? That's why you're having a lot of issues because you bought there. And IMO the one's that they are selling did not pass QA, thats why it's cheaper. Try to order in a reliable store, and then you'll know the best of it, I've used a lot of phones, and I know that the best are those SE phones, the quality of SE phones are 3-1 compared to Nokia and so the others. My friends are amazed with my K800 phone, because of the quality of pictures, so clear and the flash is brilliant, even those Nokia phones that has higher Megapixel camera didnt match the SE camera phones. SE is the best, when there's party at night they try to get a picture by their phones, but they cant get a nice one, and I say what kind of phone is that? Throw it away, ill give you a nice picture with my K800! LOL!!!

I've had the sony ericsson w995 for a week now and overall I like it. As a phone it works well, nice clear speaker and easy to use for texts. The music player is outstanding with the 8G memory card allowing you enough space to download a wide selection of music. The SensMe app is great, it work a bit like Genius on itunes and will generate a playlist according to the mood and speed of the first song you choose. The camera is OK but not quite as good as I was hoping. It is slow to take a photo and it isn't very good at night or in low light conditions. But it is still a lot better than most cameras on most mobile phones. Battery life is short, it needs to be charged daily if you use it to play music for a few hours but that seems to be par for the course with the current generation of batteries. It isn't significantly worse than the itouch and that isn't powering a pair of speakers. Something that is irritating is that the software for syncing it with a Mac is poor. You have to open 1 programme to sync your calender and organiser and another programme to download music. The music download programme is inflexible and clunky. There are only 4 options for which albums to download and it basically forces you to rate each and every album on itunes so it picks out your highest rated ones. The biggest irritation is that there isn't a programme for downloading photos. I started off bluetoothing each one over individually which is slow. I then discovered if you go into USB settings you can set the phone to act as a mass storage device. This allows the Mac to recognise the phone is plugged into it and then you can import all the photos to iphoto en mass. You still have to delete them all of the phone individually though. Another major pain is that you cannot download the software update to a Mac, you have to do that via a PC. Which makes me wonder why Sony Ericsson dare to advertise that their phones are Mac compatible! My only problem with this phone so far is it has frequently gone mute and frozen while playing music. Getting it to work again has required removing and replacing the battery. Not a huge issue but not what I'd expect. BTW this is happening after the software has been updated. So overall I think its a good phone. Not as stable or reliable as the itouch but less buggy than many of the other smartphones. 4 stars out of 5 at the moment. If the crashing becomes more of a problem then the rating will drop as I chose this one for its supposed reliability.

No problems using BBC iplayer and Youtube (and I am on O2) as you just play them through any available wifi point. Just one problem though. Call me a donkey but I find it hard to relax with this phone (bought sim free not on contract). SE have been churning out some really sriously buggy phones as of late, and a few of the reviews on here will testify that this is no exception. Consequently I am terrified that I will switch it on one day just to find the dreaded error message 'use genuine sony ericsson battery' or 'insert correct simcard'. So far no problems though. It simply crashed, reset all its settings, appeared to have no signal and didn't recognise its battery. Sadly, I think this is another case of these stunning phones being sent out before all the kinks had been ironed out. I make big allowances for this phone because the camera is amazing, the music is unbelievably good with its cracking speakers. The watch films side of it is unbeatable! But I am now awaiting my phone's return from the repair centre and I know that seeing as they will have updated the software again, any songs purchased from Planet3 and downloaded will no longer work.. and I have hundreds. I have had this phone for 7 weeks now, and refrained from commenting until now, as I've been caught out before by judging a phone too quickly. The last three years I have been stuck with 2 phones that were awful, so this one has been a breath of fresh air! I honestly wouldn't swap it for any other phone out there and can say I'm 98% happy with it. I've found the W995 extremely easy to navigate, and have not had to look at the instruction book because I'm stuck even once, and have only looked to make sure I'm using the phone to the full capacity. Battery life is the best I've had yet, video and pictures are excellent, and the sound quality is amazing! I love the look of it (I have the red one, gorgeous!) and it feels heavy and solid in the hand. The keyboard is superb, and to have predictive text that actually works intelligently is so great... you know when you do things, and you just get used to the fact that you can do it with no bother, no stress, and you just take it for granted? Well that's how I feel using this phone.. its a great feeling! I have no problems with the volume of ring tones, so I don't understand the problems people are having.. mine is set to 5 out of 7 and is so loud it can be embarrassing, but even when I'm out on a busy shopping centre and the phones in my bag, its easily loud enough to hear. Obvious I know, but if there is ANY covering over the speaker, it severely muffles the output. I use one of my MP3 music tracks, and putting my music on it was soooo easy. I would advise people to update their software, as I did this as soon as I got my phone, and there was an upgrade available.. it takes just a little time but then you have an up to date phone with top functionality, and to me that's priceless. regarding call volume, you must make sure the speaker is in the right place to your ear, sounds obvious, but with this phone just half a centimeter away will muffle the sound.. you kind of get used to this though, so its not a problem.. also obvious, but again, ANY covering over the phone speaker does severely effect the volume.. the fine plastic film that protects the glass frontage .... I know does this! In the first hour of owning the phone I got a call, and couldn't hear anything until I removed it!!! Small downsides.. very small! ... sliding the phone open, though easy, does miss having having something your thumb can easily get purchase on.. if you do it with one hand its not as easy as it could be... your thumb slides on the surface... ... the vibration option is very weak if its in your bag/pocket Thank you, and well done to Sony Ericsson for the W995.. and for making the software upgradeable... I feel like I have the best phone on the market, and also a future proofed one. 98 out of 100... five stars from me!

Having been a fan of Ericsson long before Sony took over, the last few phones I've had (K850i & K800i) have left me wondering if it was time to change brand as much as I dislike Nokia recent offering from SE seem to me to have been released for it's final product testing by the public; something I detest, the K850i and it's hideous touch screen being the bane of my life as a phone user. Using my phone for work a decent camera would be handy for site photos, so considered the C905, but after the poor reviews here and talking to my local Orange shop (who advised me that they were discontinuing the C905 due to the large amount of recalls including the C905 Plus) I decided to try the W995 on the recommendation of the manager who also owned one. Initial impressions out of the box, quite impressed - the phone ships with a mini speaker which is pretty good for a mini speaker, the headphones are of a good quality closed earbud type, again the quality is on par with more expensive units (I dislike closed earphones and prefer the 'open' type that allows me to hear more of what is going on around me but that is down to personal preference). The phone also ships with and 8Mb card - nice. It also has a 3.5mm jack so can be plugged into car's aux ports etc (IMO long overdue) and the bundled earphones can be split from the bulky SE connector and plugged into the 3.5mm jack, also a nice touch. The seemed initially a lot more robust than the last few offerings from SE, one concern is how much wobble the slide would develop, a month on making several calls a day it is still has the nice smart 'snick' as it opens and closes, this bodes well for the future. The overall build quality seems to be a vast improvement and gives me a degree of confidence that it will last the full term of my 18 month contract and then some. One thing that has been a real bugbear with previous SE phones is the Bluetooth performance the K850i in particular being appalling refusing to connect and dropping the connection mid call without rhyme or reason especially if it is a non SE headset. The W995 seems to be a vast improvement over this pairing, connecting and holding the connection with very little fuss - I've only had it drop a connection once and that was due to the headset's battery running out. The software on the phone seems to run much faster with non of the hanging or wait a minute-whilst-I-get-my-act-together dragging that plagued my K850i, again a snappiness about the menu operation and software functions (including the camera) that makes it a pleasure to use (I wonder if Orange refraining from changing the icons from the SE standard to the Orange branding has also helped). The camera is one area that SE has excelled at using Sony's experience from their camera division, the K850i gave very good quality pictures albeit very slow to focus and take, the W995's 8.1Mp camera gives good quality pictures (enough to blow up to A4 for site reports) and the focusing system is a lot faster and I can actually take pictures of my nephews without them running out of shot or blurring before the camera 'takes' the picture. The SMS menu has a 'conversation' feature that allows you to read all the texts from one person as a conversation, it seemed like a gimmick at first, but it does come in handy especially if you do a lot of texting. Features that are gimmicks - using the inbuilt accelerometer to change tracks and volume, something the I Phone does so everyone else wants to do (far from being a revolution having used an I Phone I found it to be never mind the function - look at the gadgets, as a work user I want function, not gadgets or a limitless bank of apps to buy). The GPS is so-so, like all phone GPS systems it uses A-GPS (Assisted GPS) using a data connection to help obtain a position 'fix', unlike some phones on the W995 there is the option to disable this and run purely on the GPS receiver, I gather the GPS is a 4 channel receiver, hence the long time to 'fix' and large position area (standing in a field with clear view of the sky the best fix I got was within 130 meters), in comparison with my 2005 Garmin Nuvi and it's 20 channel SIIRF Star3 receiver giving me a 5 metre 'fix'. I can see that eventually like phones on cameras the technology will develop to the point it becomes more than a 'gadget' but at the moment it isn't reliable enough to use for serious navigation (especially driving) and with the A-GPS could work out very expensive depending on your tariff, the last nail in phone GPS' coffin is on every phone I used it on including this one battery life takes a real beating. The walkman functions are very nice, the K850i being very balky, dropping out, poor quality reception on the radio made a feature something that could have helped turn the tedium of a train commute into something more pleasant. The W995 by contrast is a much more polished affair (as one would hope, it being branded a ‘Walkman’ phone) the radio is a very good RDS radio with proper RDS features such as frequency change – searching for the best freq once a station has been selected. The walkman has good sound with a manually adjustable equaliser on it for your own preferences. For a phone with these features I tend to get about a day and a half to two days use out it’s battery, to put that into perspective that is with listening to the walkman/radio an hour each way on the train, having a Bluetooth headset connected 8 hours a day if I’m out driving and working in areas such as basements where there is no reception so the phone is always polling to get a network connection plus some 15-20 calls a day. Overall, I would consider this to be a very good effort from SE albeit long overdue, also the first SE phone in a long time I would consider recommending.

What an outstanding phone! Haven't had such a good SE phone since the k800i. The sound quality from the walkman is great especially with the high end earphones supplied. Great to get an ordinary 3.5mm jack on an SE phone at last. One of the best phones out there, just wish it had a cover for the camera lens to prevent it from scratches. Buy it, you will be well impressed!

The best phone I've ever had. I don't like touch screens so would say it's the best keypad phone out there. 8MB memory card and speakers supplied which is good value for money. Well consructed and screams quality. It sits well balanced in the hand and is easy to text with one handed. The keyboard is great. Ringtone is loud and clear but supplied ringtones not that appealing; neither are the themes. Excellent volume and clarity on calls, and fantastic large screen. Great selection of games supplied - some motion sensitive (not demos!). Battery life is good, especially when compared to the SE 903. Unfortunately the 'sony ericsson' logo at the top does tend to rub off, but that's no biggie. More importantly, can't get BBC iplayer to work, which may be an ISP issue. A minor niggle is the lack of a xenon flash (LED flash only). The software 'MediaGo' is slow and cluncky - easier to just plug in the phone to your PC and drag and drop from Windows media player. Great sound when listening to music, and an excellent pair of headphones supplied. Unfortunately no camera cover to protect the lens from scratches. Accelerometer superb, slight lag but this isn't a problem as if it was too sensitive it would lead to too many problems. All in all though, I would say the pros definitely outweigh the cons, because it is a truly outstanding phone. It would be too long to list all it's features here, but look at the features on the phone and you realise the wealth of features it has. Knocks the ever breaking C905 into a cocked hat!

I have to say this phone is not all that its been hyped to be. If you want simply a phone with an MP3 player then sure its okay, but if you want more out of it it will kill your battery faster than a school boy with a flesh light toy! The picture quality is pretty bad for an 8mp camera, it is worse than my 4mp slim line digital camera I got from Aldi a few years back for 40 quid! Very grainy for my liking. Don't get me wrong, it does have some good features but its not a phone I would recommend to anyone and definitely not one I would go for again!

Outstanding phone! I've always had Nokias but, having been disappointed too many times by their build and software quality, I've defected to SE. And I'm SO glad I did! The W995 is superior to the Nokia in every way except one (the calendar's a bit rubbish), and it feels lovely in your hand. The operating system is so much prettier than Nokia's, relying more on pictures rather than text (e.g. instead of a Phone Locked message you get a piccy of a key). And why not?! It really makes Nokias look outdated. Some of the menus are a bit of a fiddle...after so long with Nokia things aren't where I expect them to be....but that could just be me. Camera - excellent (actually worth having!) MP3 player - excellent (although I do somtimes accidentally press the side Walkman button....it's a little TOO conveniently placed) Operating System - excellent. If SE sorted out the calendar the W995 would be a 5/5, but as it is I give it 4.5/5, which rounds up anyway.

I had this phone for just over 24 hours. On paper this phone was perfect. High res camera, familia layout (I have the w800i), torch, wi-fi, 3G and the list goes on. One of the first things that bugged me about the w995 was the build quality. Now i've never owned a slide phone but when the screen was slid out (open) I expected a high end phone to be solid and not have a slight play on the screen. I checked another w995 and it was the same. If its like this from new what will it be like in a years time. I found the camera quality very poor even compared to my 2mp phone. The ccelerometer that automatically rotates the display worked very slowly. It became tiresome waiting for the screen to turn. What I was impressed with was its size, the sound quality (with and without speakers), speed at which the w995 goes through menus and the quality of the screen colours. I'm gutted about the couple of issues that bugged me about this phone but I know I just could not live with t hem.

I got this phone as part of a replacement for my faulty C905 (12th one since Nov 08). I have to say so far ive been impressed. It has all the features the C905 has and more besides. BBC i player is a neat addition along with more games and applications... wifi is again included. The Sony Ericsson speaker that you attach to the phone is just superb, a lot of sound is produced from such a small device. This is complimented with an handy "stand" which is placed at the top of the phone on the back. This allows you to place the phone on a hard surface such as a table in order for you to watch videos. etc. Texting is easy as the keys are tactile and spaced perfectly. The walkman is as usual superb and has the added advantage of having a universal headphone jack as opposed to the traditional SE one. The phone comes with a 8gb memory card. It will support up to 16gb The camera outdoors and in daylight is as good as the C905 IMO however indoors and in darker light it is not. Thats mainly due to the LED light as opposed to the neon flash the C905 has. Overall im delighted with the W995 and its certainly a step up in qualty from the C905
