i just got this phone today, and i saw loads of people putting 1 and 2 stars, well its the not the phone peopleeee.... its your network, orange is by far the worst network you can get the best ones to go for are 02 and vodaphone. this phone is amazing and ive only had it for a week!! i idvise you to get it!!

I have this phone and when i first got it i thought it was great! But a couple of weeks later i had problems with it, it started freezing and turning it self off, a few of my friends have this phone aswell and they are having the same problems!

i was happy with this phone when it first arrived but the same as everybody else it shuts down and fails to come back on unless i take out the battery put it back in then switch it on again!! rubbish phone would not recommend it to ANYONE!!

I've found this phone to be brillant and i really love having it. The camera is great and so is the mp3 player. Although i've been having problems with it, it once stopped me from going into my inbox and outbox etc but this was soon sorted by orange. Since though has done it again and now won't work :| orange are trying to sort it but i think i'll have to replace it. Soooo annoying :| as i love it.

Excellent phone which has been completely reliable. When you open the box, there's a message from SE recommending you download the latest free software from their website which fixes any freezing/switching off issues.

Had the w910i for about almost a year now and think its a brilliant phone, used to be a bit slow when i first got it but then i just updated the software on the phone and it is killer, havent had an issue with it, had all the nokias and motorolla's too, they dont compare. good phone se!

Right, would people please tell me where they got their "outstanding" or "excellent" phones.....?! I've had mine 2 months and IT'S DOING MY HEAD IN!!! Firstly, I was an idiot for buying it, I'd been given so many bad reports about it I should of listened! I've never been one for turning my mobiles off, but when this phone takes a major hissy fit, what am I meant to do?? Why does it seem to take FOREVER to turn back on? Why does it decide to turn itself off at the stupidest times (mainly when I've got the Walkman on to drown out the brats on the Metro in the morning!) The Walkman blatanly doesn't work properly... You should of heard the noises it was making the other day.... Not pretty!! I'm actually online to order a Sim free phone from The Link.... It's the only thing I can think to do (other than chucking it against a wall!!)

I agree with chloe, when porting over etc i will constantly get the message "Unknown Recipient" but i can make calls. It freezes alot (but has not in a while (which makes a change)) and i've sent it in for repair 2 times, soon to be 3. For the money it will be worth getting another phone.

w910i. Great looking phone, but thats about it ! The screen freezes, switches its self off then re-starts its self !! Not only that but when it decides to re-start its self you have to re-set your wallpaper, screen saver (etc). I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone, VERY disappointed !

I have one and it is a great phone!! I have one in bronze and it is very slim and good for carrying around! The walkman is amazing and the camera is ok!! A fantastic phone would definately recommed!!!

got this phone the other day because all my friends have them and i finally decided to buy it but on the bus home it crashed and the screen froze too! a great phone everywhere except for no flash but it just wont stop freezing

Just got this phone - seems not unreasonable,other than the fact it does not at all like being put down. Put it down with any force other than gently laying it on a surface and the memory card dislodges itself or something - either way, I can't access anything on the memory card and have to take it out and put it back in again. Other than that, it's great. Also, I suspect this may have been my fault... but hey-ho, I'll survive :) I see nobody has complained about the calling features - just what a PHONE is supposed to do!

I got this phone in april of 2008 well, I am now on my 3rd phone they don't last. 1st I got no network coverige, 2nd inactive sim 3rd it would not let me into me phone book 4th it started to scroll 5th it started to turn it's self of & on when it feels like it & that's happend to all 3 now so I would not recomend this phone.

Got this phone in october last year. Its awesome to begin with and has a good screen, long battery life, great walkman and looks good. However it began to turn itself off randomly a few months in. It continued to do this more and more frequently until a couple of weeks ago the inside of the screen cracked without any pressure being applied. Now the phone doesnt even turn on. Insurance company say its not a fault with the phone (even though it clearly is) so i cant make a claim. All my friends who have this phone have had similar problems.

only buy this phone if u live inside the tmobile store because that is where you will be spening most of your time, good for the 1st month then after that will freeze and turn itself off all the time aswell as not being able to recieve or send messages. dont buy, id rather have a 3310

just been reading a comment below.. when the phone says operation failed you have to master reset all your phone then it will work again, although you loose all your contacts, the pictures and music stay on the phone.. this phone keeps freezing on me also, decides to turn off midway through texting, over all not impressed with the phone, changing it now to samsung G600.

The Sony Ericsson W910i was a complete dissapointment. The shutter when down should have the locked the phone it did not, the buttons were to close together for reliable quick texting and I use to consider myself a professional 'texter'! Never seen so many capitals and mistakes in one sentence! the speakerphone was dreadful even on full volume. The clarity of the phone itself was very poor and unfortunately the line resorted to emergency calls far too often. Great fun if you wanted to listen to the radio or play marbles! but for socialising very poor. When I put my sim back into my old Sony Ericsson Z610i the phone line returned! Although looks wise more old fashioned a much better phone.

The w910i is a fun phone that can easily frustrate and anoy you very quickly! T0night my ph0ne reset like the many times before but after it came back on i couldnt go into my aplicati0ns to go to Mxit! Were i was busy before it decided that i need a break, im disapointd in the ph0ne! If i new this was g0na hapen i would have g0ne with a trusty N0kia!

I strongly do NOT recommend this phone if you are looking for a phone to have for a long time... I have had this phone for about 4 months now and it is already falling apart.. The buttons are falling off and the screen keeps going blank whenever I open or close it.. As great as this phone looks, you'll probably have it for a short amount of time!

The phone is fantastic even although the sound is tinny, it is slim and easy to use, but after 5 months of it switching itself off and two visits to the repair centre and many calls to SE call centre, I am very very disappointed.

Lovely looking phone - works well too - but boy, is the battery rubbish! Phone is only 4 months old and already I have to charge it daily. Wouldn't be so bad if I used the phone a lot but I only get one text a day!

I own a sony ericsson W910i, I am totally unsatisfied with the performance. Problems: 1. Gets switched off very frequently. 2. Audio output is very bad. 3. Battery backup is poor. 4. Back lock to the battery is very loose. You will feel like it will fell down at any moment. 5. Very slow response. 6. Photo turn will work whenever it wants. 7. Speaker phone is damn bad. i faced many more like this.

Dont liste to all the reviews on this fone! i wa wondering whether to get it or not because i had read them but i have had this phone for a while now and absolutely nothing has gona wrong! fantastic music player easy to use everything is easy to use and user friendly. bettery life is good it lasts about 3-5 days on a full charge. The camera is great in any mode, no flash - so what i had flash on a samsung e900 and it was nothing like on a proper camera flash it was poor. great sized screen and graphics nothing wrong with this phe so i would recomend it over any ther phone i have had and i now others who would! never frzen or shut down either. also it is easy to slide up and down because sony ericsson have made it in a certain shape so it is easier!

this is supposed to be a walkman phone, right...? but the sound output is pathetic....the earphones are horrible...my older mobile, a w700i had great earphones...apart from this defect, everything else seems ok...the 2mp cam is stunning for outdoor pics....but really, a flash would've been more helpful...my opinion is that they should have put a flash and auto focus and called it k910 rather than w910 cuz the sound really aint gud as the previous walkman phones....real bad...another notable feature is the large, crystal clear screen and no dreadful joystick...

Good phone exchanged once by orange as the slide jammed . now it freezes 20 times an hour and drains battery , orange not interested as its out of 6 month warranty and is my problem but contract still has 12 months to run how can they offer a service with no phone to run it on. dont buy one

i think wat i going on is that 02 r doing a bad job with this fone on contract because thats wen problems arise (so ive heard), in that case move to another netork. My fone which i got a month ago has turned itself off once. The w810i which was my previous fone was rated a 5 star and i loved it but that also kept turning itself off constantly. I love this fone gr8 style, although the camera is rubbish, but wat r cameras 4? Buy a cybershot and stop winiging if u dont like it! i love this fone and its features, its sexy 2 love it worth every star and pound!!! *****

I bought this phone tow days ago. and it's exelent just love it very nice in hand and music player is outstanding very great phone, but it restarted once when it searched for signal, but it's fine to me..... camere is ok.... if you want good camera the buy something from SE Cyber shot series. but the phone is great dont think just buy it

I've had the same old problem with mine too - keeps freezing/turning itself off etc./ messaging facilities being rendered unusable - can't send or receive messages, all messages/call timers etc. get deleted....you know how it goes by now(!!) A simple (free!) software upgrade from the SE website has sorted it out every time so far but this is only a very temporary measure as it starts all over again within weeks - I've had this phone for less than 6 months and have had enough of it. Useless. Also, somebody else made a very good point that if you're listening to the music player whilst using other features at the same time e.g. reading/writing texts, everything becomes veerryyy ssslllooowwww. Built-in loudspeaker is also abysmal. The camera is bad but as it's been mentioned it's a Walkman phone, not a Cybershot phone, so you can't expect brilliance, but still I would have liked it to be just a little bit better than it is. Slide mechanism is nice but overall the phone feels quite vulnerable, especially when in the "open" position. Shake control....what a joke! Don't even bother using it, you practically have to dislocate your wrist to change tracks. Screen is nice and big but completely unprotected and prone to scratching/dust getting inside it. Keypad is quite nice and tactile, you can skim over the keys quite quickly when texting but I sometimes get my fingernails caught in the tiny gaps between buttons....hard to properly explain really, not so much of a bad point, it just makes me cringe....The automatic orientation sensor is a nifty feature but not necessary in the slightest. Mine only came with trial-period games which, for the 30 days they were usable, weren't very much fun! To sum it all up - there are some nice qualities to this phone but when it doesn't even work half the time, what's the point? Don't waste your money!! Wish I'd followed in my fiance's footsteps and got the W580i instead....jealous much?! Well yes, actually....

Basically this phone is garbage, it constantly freezes, crashes and i have marks on the inside of the screen that i am told is moisture took it back to t-mobile who gladly sent it away to be repaired and it came back still with some marks on the inside of the screen wish i had never got the phone

Wste of money in my opinion. Expensive phone that doesn't do very much to deserve the price tag. Use the flick control and turning screen very little, camera not great and the walkman sounds tinny and cheap. Phone doesn't turn on easily and seems to enjoy turning itself off during phone calls, when I complained about this to the phone shop I bought it from, I was told that it wasn't their problem and it was simply a hardwear fault. This phone simply isn't good enough for the money paid.

Absolutely junk! Sorry but u'd b better buyin a toy phn. It looks nice but doesnt do that much between constantly messing up. If u 1t something which looks nice but doesnt do anything carry round a picture!! I am surprised i am even able 2 write this comment with out it givin up on me. This is not a good phone at all, it freezes, with the red light on the back and it says 'operation failed' when I try to do anything with the messages. Do not get this phone, it is very disappointing. I last had a motorola, and it was excellent. This is one is appaling

I love this phone but the only thing that lets it down is no flash for taking photos in the dark and the music is very tiggy when playing with out earphones... nice big screen, had no freezers like other people have had. clear music when playing with earphones, nice sliding feature, writing a message can be a bit off a pain as the keys are smaller but do get used to them..

ive had alot of trouble with this phone.... within a week i had to send it back due to the screen going black randomly and after a couple of minutes it switching back on..... i got it fixed but no matter how much i tried to love it i just couldnt..... so i went back to my d900....my fave phone ever.... now i have the iphone 3g.... they games and graphics on that are truly out of this world.!

Had this phone nearly a year but unfortunatley the screen managed to crack whilst in my pocket due to water damage, and i am upgrading to a c902. Overall a good phone but there is some problems that have occured; the fone decides to switch off and on when ever it likes, phone freezes alot, keys are very small (which isnt very good for texting),the sound quality isnt up to scratch, and the screen does scratch quite easily. personaly i would recomend the simple but reliable w810i.

I absoulutly hate this phone, it is the worst phone i have ever had. Seems to me the good working phones were all sent to the UK. Can't tell you how many times I've had an issue with this damn phone. Also switches off and on by itself, screen freezes, wallpaper changes itself, battery life lasts a day (or just long enough for me to get to a charger)...the list is endless. Taken it in to Customer Care with high hopes that it would finally be working smoothly, but to no avail. Needless to say my hopes dropped to the floor and my temper flared... Best thing to do with this phone is to see how high it bounces when throwing it on the floor (if it can even do that) A simple request...a phone that works considering the amount of money spent on it... there should be a star rating of 0 = a total piece of c...

i have this phone and i would recomend that you DONT buy it. it allways turns off on it own and just freezes. ive had to send it back 5 times and every time i get it back it does the same, there must be a fault with the phone itself! The screan scratches very easily, e.g you could put it in your pocket and then you pull it out ant the its scratched!

the phone kept turning off, then one night it overheated and MELTED my sim card, so i had to get a new number. it didn't turn back on, then 2 days later i turned it on but only the keypad lit up, nothing else happened so i left it. then later on i heard my old ringtone on that phone, my phone was ringing! with no sim card in! i answered and nothing happened, now it's just ringing every now and then. i hate this phone.

The Sony Ericsson W910i should be named the 'Freeze' as thats all it does. I only had my phone for a few months and it started to freeze all the time. Orange did send me out another phone but after a few weeks the same is happening!! I can get another but I don't really want the same phone.

hi my w910i often shutdown itself and hangs wen it plays songs.. other thing is that 2 mp camera is not that good compared to its brother mobiles.. the pictures often apears as painted strokes.. why this any one know that???

I got the phone on contract, and have had it about 3 months now. However, the phone would freeze every so often, and shut down and restart again. I honestly was expecting a little more from the W910i, a little bit disapointed.

I received my W910i January, for four months it kept turning off all the time, got a replacement which had the same fault, got another replacement which has turned itself off and i cant get it on again. Have foned up and am now getting a different fone altogether. Had enough of this pathetic fone!!!!!!

Hello guys i bought this SE w910i phone on last month. but i have found that some unexpected trabouls have come at the time of using the phone like suddeny phone display dosnt work,music players not work, bluetooth has not work etc. If i switch off the mobile for once than it will again work properly. i hope you guys look in to this matter.

I bought this phone (W910i Red) from Orange back in December - this is the worst phone I have actually ever bought!! I like Sony Ericsson phones in general and bought this when it came out thinking I was getting a decent phone. I was disappointed in it and after getting the thing out on a contract, I then heard of all the reviews of the phone freezing and switching on and off again - exactly what my phone done!!! So I reported this fault to orange and they replaced it with a new handset - I thought it could have been a faulty phone I had, but I was wrong as the same problem occured all over again when using this phone!! I cant get out my contract now until February next year (apparently) and now im left with it!!!! Please do not buy this phone and to be honest, if you can check reviews of the phone before you buy it, something I never done!!

on my thrid one now and they have all broke, the bottom arrow key has now stoped working, sometimes it tells me operation faild. i would not recommend anyone buys this phone.

Well overall it's a decent phone, i like the features and the keypad is just how i like them so that's great. It has a huge text memory and doesn't slow down at all even with 1000+ messages in memory. The problem comes when it turns itself off randomly for no particular reason. Battery life is 2 days but i am a heavy texter so that's not bad! But the random turning off problem is so damn annoying!

Having read all the reviews on this phone i took a chance and purchased one,having had the phone for about 7 weeks now i have not noticed any problems. The key pad is quite flat but i have know problems texting and the phone is easy to get on with,it will auto rotate your photos which is a nice feature,a lot of people moan about the camera but it is a walkman phone if you want a decent camera go for a cyber shot phone instead.

i purchased this phone about 4 months ago and im so unhappy!!! an old friend of mine recommended me to get a sony ericsson i so wish i chose another one now!! in the 4 months ive had it the shake control doesnt work at all, it keeps turning itself on and off all the time, sometimes it wont let me go onto the actual menu because the menu button had vanished god knows where that went!, it freezes ALOT! and now recently my actual slider has broke just randomely didnt drop it or anything and also my speaker has now broke so if any one tries to call me i can hear them but they cant hear a thing of what im saying!!! its really really annoying dont get this phone!!!!!!!!!

I have this fone for already 7 months and I think its still charming,,, I love the red color and its look is outstanding. It sometimes shutdowns, but only twice in my hand. and I keep on droping in on hard surface but its still working. so... what can I say, And I have to agree with the best walkman thing.. it really is a great companion if you are walking to work alone.. always have it with me .. I quite don't like the key pad though.. above all its a good fone,, and the camera quality is quite ok for play shots and some memos you don't want to waste and when your digi cam is not in your hand..

This phone is in a nutshell useless. A phone that doesn't work isn't a phone. I don't know why the light above the camera lense is there but when that come on you've had it. The phone will then freeze. If it come back on, the ringtone and message tone has changed, so you dont know its your phone going off, and files like music, recordings, pictures and videos have dissappeared. If it doesn't come back on you have to turn it on and off and when it come's back on your still have your ringtone and files but whatever battery life you have has been halved. The keypad isn't very good and the walkman is really slow and quiet. Dont buy or get this phone on contract its terrible.

I am annoyed with this mobile this has gone to service centre 4 times within 4 months of purchase,for the same problem of freezing ,restarting and slow processing.now they have changed the motherboard but now the phone is full of scratches and not in a condition to use because of its mishandling

Ok i had the sony ericsson w580i what a horrible fone from start a finnish the keys cracked sent it back the keys cracked sent it back the keys cracked so with some arguements with the retailer and a year later i got a new fone off them the w910i im very happy with this fone it looks good works well and the keys dont crack yippee im well chuffed now for the time being any way

What can i say ? Rubbish. I have taken my w910i in for repairs about 3 or 4 times now, they have given me 3 new ones wich all have broken. Every now and then the phone will freeze and say inactive sim, once this has happened it will go off and you have to take the battery out to get it going again. I am going to change my phone to the new w890i or the w800i. Reliable phones. I would receommend that you avoid these phones if you want one that does not break on you every month. My friend has now changed her phone to the w800i because her w910i broke several times.

Sony Ericsson W910i I have bough a new Sony Ericsson w910i mobile on 10th July 18, 2008.With in a week time its start hanging and not able to operate as the error message operation failed. For servicing went to Sony Ericsson Service centre SALORA, they tried installing the software thrice but no go, as they advices me to go Sony Ericsson service centre �ACCEL FRONTLINE LIMITED� in Greems Road, they are asking my mobile for 3days to track the issue. I don�t know the how long time they need to complete the service. I�m really fed up of this Sony Ericsson W910i model and the service provider. The performance of this mobile is very bad. It�s nothing but only stylish. But...the mobile performance is better the service providers

Do NOT buy this phone. Had mine on contract since January 08 always had Nokias b4 but decided to give this a try and was impressed by its features and looks. First problem was that it failed to notify me when new messages came in then started turning itself off. Had it repaired then 2 months later did exactly the same thing, this time not repairable. Seems to be ongoing problems with software and reliability. Dont be sucked in by the look of it or the salesman saying the software problems have been resolved

DONT Buy It if you do, dont take it into the SHOWER, & doesnt have LOUDSPEAKER,AND FREEZERS, if u want a phone which you can take into the shower, call and w/e never freezes and stuff, try w810i, BRILLIANT

Ive had this phone a month all it does is freeze now i can not turn it on .it just vibrates and the screen flashs ive took the battery out no end of times. And stil it wil not come on .

This is the worst phone i have ever had , it always turns its self off and then back on , and then back off etc . i've had to take it back to carphone warehouse a number of times but they wont give me a different phone as it is on contract. ive had about 6 different w910is , and eachone has the same faults . they all turn them selves on and off, the camera is appauling and most of my features dont work as it says 'operation failed' so you have to master reset the phone,which means you loose everything. i've had to do this about 5 times , just randomly i'll click on my inbox and it will say , operation failed . my phone is next to me now, and its just said inactive sim and turned its self off . this is about the twentieth time it has happened in the space of five minutes. i would not reccomend this phone to anyone , it honestly is a pile of rubbish.

When I first got this phone last November I thought it was great, but after 3 months it's been nothing but trouble. It freezes constantly, then it stopped sending and receiving texts without warning due to a software update that was required. I don't think I'd ever get another Sony after this.

Had this phone now for about 7 months and it constantly freezes and red lights. I have had it repaired once as eventually the screen could no longer power up and had to master reset it 3 times after meeting an 'operation failed' message from my inbox and contacts list. I have lost all my music that I paid for too - even though I saved to the memory card, every time it has frozen its corrupted the files.... Its nice to look at but kinda useless...reading below though its not just me as the man in the 3 store made out!!!

I love this phone, but have had it 5 months now and have just had my first batch of problems. It switches itself off and the red light is on at the back of the phone and the phone get hotter and hotter. The only way to sort this is by taking the battery out! Then when sliding the phone open it got stuck open. This seemed to sort itself out, or so I thought. Nnow I can only open it so it shows the bottom 3 buttons, which is completely useless as I now cannot use the phone for most of the functions. I love Sony Ericsson phones, but this has definately put me off!!

Looks good on paper, but a poor phone in your hand. Sometimes the features work, sometimes they don't, like to auto - rotating photo feature. The phone regularly switches itself on and off and on again for no reason, and often has no reception, although this may be an Orange issue. The speakers for the walkman are rubbish - the sound is best described as tinny. Stick to your ipod for music. Its difficult to text as the keypad is small and I am forever pressing the wrong buttons. The zoom on the camera does not seem to work which is annoying. All in all i am very dissapionted with this phone. DON'T BUY IT.

Utterly appalling, unreliable phone. After having a SE W810i, which was replaced in its first wee, then got sent away twice in the first year for repair, we thought that SE would have resolved all these issues in the W920. Dream on. Unit replaced in first 2 weeks as it just wouldn't turn on, replacement freezes and functions don't work. As it was now outside the first 30 days we were only offered going through the send it away for repair option. Thing was sold for 80 pounds and we consider ourselves lucky to get that. Utter pile of junk. 1 star is not low enough.

do not under any cercumstances get this phone. iv had mine since around November last year. all iv had is trouble, and to be honest im sick of it. it turns off by itself and freezes. when using the mp3 player the music develops breaks, which is anoying because i travel a lot. recently come back from holiday and couldnt access my inbox,sent messages, drafts, outbox or anything else to do with messages. not happy, phone is going back to shop today and im going to play hell lol

Absolute crapola! This phone is shocking. Was good for about 2 months and then it lost the plot. "Operation failed" and no access to text message function. Now it freezes a couple of times a day, vibrates once, the screen goes black and the red light comes on at the back. Sometimes it slowly sorts itself out, but most of the time i have to take the battery out to get it going again. Dodgy dodgy dodgy!!! and very frustrating. One star is too much for this piece of rubbish.

Hate it! To anyone who is thinking of buying this phone i strongly reccomend you dont! it constantly freezes and turns itself off, the signal is rubbish and it is very difficult to hear anyone on the phone. The camera calls do not work, to any one concerned there are no games unless you are willing to pay �5.00 for them and the camera is a standard picture (nothing special), the music also sounds fuzzy at times and the highets volume is very low. I have had this phone for 2 months and am already fed up with it freezing and cutting out on me.

This phone has been a none end of problems. Freezes, doesn't recieve messages when it chooses but doesnt tell you anything, switched off when you recieve a call, switches off when you phone the answer message. the camera is shaky, the noise is not good at all. overall a complete dissapointment. i can not wait to change phones but i'm stuck in a contract so i'm changing my sim to a nokia 3310

I dont know why everyone is slagging off this phone. itt's the best phone i have ever had.i bought it waith voodafone about 3 months ago and havn't had any problems with it at all. the mp3 is fab and so is the camera. It's easy to text with and in general a great phone!!! dont listen to anyone who disagrees with me!!!

Nice design, useful functions - but no battery life! I got it a week ago. Has already had to charge it three times. I guess that if I use the radio or the walkman it will only last a few hours. Is the SE business idea to sell batteries. It reminds me of the Ericsson phone I had in the early nineties. It had to be recharged every evening. Back to the good old days ... but with a much nicer design. It's acceptable, not more.

The camera is godd except no flash. The first month i had to send it back as it wouldnt send messages anymore. The music player is too quiet and not very good quality sound. It turns off whenever it likes, even mid phone call. Now im having trouble getting it to turn on at all even with a full battery. to be honest id rather have a nokia 3210 brick that works, than this phone!!!! Its so much hassle.

I have this fone since oct 07 and have had a replacement since, the fone keeps switching off and i have had problems with the software. comes up 'operation failed' on my messages, application and games, according to vodafone i needed to update the software which i have TWICE but the applications and games still come up as 'operation failed'. the walkman button sometimes doesnt work, and the SensMe doesnt work on my fone, next fone i get will problys be a nokia or samsung this is my first SE fone and could be my last !! There is aspects i love about this phone like the camera and the walkman player i just have to deal with the problems and then this fone is quite good :)

I must say that i wish i had read the reviews before getting this phone. What a dud.The phone is unable to charge to 100% unless its switched off, hense no point in having a phone when you cant recieve calls. The freezing and switching off all the time is totally annoying. Im a real Sony Ericsson fan but this phone has changed my view completly. volume is pathetic the t630 is even louder. However its not all that bad. When it works.

Sony are experiencing problems at the moment in regards to the new software that has to be updated via internet many are bringing up the OPERATION FAILED message allowing the user to have problems with features on the phone. I have to replace my phone or reset which means loosing alot of the features ect, I would ask before you buy at your local store are this is an ongoing problem that all sony ericsson phones are apparently likely to experience. Check before buying.As its been a pain in the ass

I had the phone for about 6 months and i was pleased with it until my messages stopped working. Every time i try to open my inbox, send messages, saved messages e.t.c it says 'operation failed'. I have no idea what the problem is, it is nothing to do with not enough memory and i have no idea how it can be fixed so i don't recommend the phone because everyone i know has had problems with it such as it freezing and buttons stop working, there is just no point buying it i'm sorry to say.

I bought a w580i within 4 weeks the keys cracked so i got a w910i on contract. On the minus side it dose turn off but not enough 2 make a difference and the camera is average. However i dont take pics i listen 2 musir. This fone is the best 4 music and i love it.

Well well well. Im on the orange network and havent had so many problems in all my life. Firstly i received a phone that didnt get any signal. Then i got a replacement which had no signal or battery, then got another with diabolic battery then just returning another for poor battery life. In the meantime they have gave me a replacement battery and charger and STILL no look. They even sent me a free 1gb memory card to shut me up from moaning - i dont take it that easily. I phoned up today and eventually after 4 months I am finally getting a replacement phone. Just hope this one is ok or i'll be back on the phone. :) But the phone features are good, not a very good camera but the rest is ok, thats why 2 stars.

Only had the phone all of 2 months and am experiencing problems, "the mysterious red light" very annoying when in the middle of a call. The menu is a little on the slow side. No complaints about the Music player or camera (it could of had flash but i got it for the music player) all in all a good phone would highly reccomend it.

Son only had phone for seven weeks(mother washed last one) Phone has frozen and switched off on numerous occasions, didnt realise this was a fault till looked on this website. Now screen has gone completely, has been sent back to manufactures but phone contract people say its been dropped (poppy-cock. Not impressed by attitude of contract people just hope Sony in their decency sort it out. Have mentioned the sale of goods act to them lets hope they act upon it.

Don't bother buying this phone - it is rubbish and Sony Ericsson should recall the faulty phones rather than leave it to the customer to do all the fault finding and remedies. I will always recommend people NOT to buy this telephone unless they can get a guarantee when purchasing that they are not getting a duff one! Make sure you check the software code on the settings menu (R1CA029 - duff) with the seller to establish if they are selling on the faulty ones!!! Sales of Goods Act - check this out to see how you stand.

This phone was bought as my new phone as I have had alot of problems with the W580i. Compared to the W580i which didn't even let me make or receive calls! this phone is extremely impressive. The phone is quite slim which means you won't have a big and heavy phone in your pocket, the buttons are a great size for the mass of the phone, the sound is pretty good through the phones speaker as long as you have the back of the phone nearest your ear and the screen is extremely impressive its almost 2.5" The only things i would say about the phone is that if you are listening to music and trying to do other things the phone can become pretty slow and also the screw protectors on the back of the phone fall out easily and when they do fall out the phone will not lay flat when you put it down and there is also a chance that the back of the phone will fall off!
