Guys Let me make a suggestion If you are on o2 with this phone and are having problems i suggest you Debrand it as i have done and beleive me you will find a big diffrence with the phone and the satnav software will appear.. the phone is a cracking peace of kit for the money... yes i know the camera does let it down a bit but come on guys stop moaning that you like the look of the phone but it keeps crashing and fix it.... you wont be sorry

Phone keeps on dropping out mid conversation so I can't hear the other person even though they can hear me. Also alarm sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Basically, the two features I use don't work...hard to recommend it.

I have to say i agree with everyone else here. The keys did not work so i could not select anything or type in certain numbers. Got it repaired but still did not do the job. Got it repaired again and it now works however it now ramdomly restarts and sometimes says inactive sim. WTF is up with this phone!!!!!!!!!!! They even sent me a new one and it still mucks up

Great idea but extremely poor execution. Same problems as reported by Sharon from the US (post from 16th Dec 2008) Had to take it back after 3 months. Sony, stick to what you do best-hi-fi's, TV's & Playstation!

Worst phone i've ever had. Freezes all the time, restarts randomly, the charging bit on the phone broke so I had it repaired and it broke again about 1 week after I got it back. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

after spending £130 on this phone for my boyfriends birthday, it broken after 3 months. we mailed it to sony ericson where they told him the 6 odd things that were wrong with it were his fault. he has taken care of it since i bought it for him (as hell hath no fear than the wrath of a woman) but sony ericson won't take resposibility for the thing. it started off as a pretty cool phone, but then it would turn off, the buttons wouldnt work etc. my friend bought the same phone and the alarm didnt work, however she managed to get her money back. Stay away from son ericson, theyre all rubbish and my dads is starting to break now!

I thought it was just my phone that randomly froze but I'm pleased to see it's a common fault. My alarm never goes off so I have to set two every morning. I can't count the number of times I've slept in and missed trains. It's such a shame as I loved my previous Sony phone. I might have to go back to my old (reliable) phone if I can't fix this one.

I got this phone on contract - got it and with in one day it was freezing and turning itself off. Arranged a new one - next one exactly the same. Third one came worked well for 3 days and then died - wont turn on, wont charge - nothing !!! I am not unlucky with phones others have lasted years . This is an awful phone and i wouldnt recommend it to anyone!!

Like one of the reviews below I upgraded from W850i and wished I had kept it. W850i was an excellent phone and never had any trouble with it for the 18 months I had it. Since taking on the W760i I have to question SE ability to make a mass market phone as this W760i I have at the moment is the worst phone I have ever owned. Restarts istself for no reason and at random with "inactive sim" displayed on screen and you cant play music on it as it just jumps around all over the place. Cuts out half way through calls. This is the 2nd one I have had 1st one the battery lasted about a day then it would give up the ghost. Avoid this phone at all costs and do yourself a favour.

Just bought this phone recently on 02. What a great feeling in your hand, ergonomically brilliant. Too many people are fussy the wrong way. I had tried three different phones namely ericsson 910i and samsung g600 they all have different problems in sliding mech, messaging tones etc. Lets get this straight. The 760i does the business. A fantastic music player, good radio, easy texting, good sliding. I called my son yesterday on his 910i and what a brilliant call chrystal clear. I like this so much that i am frightened to put this phone down at times. The market is hard to choose for phones and it hard to get it right first time. This phone will not disappoint.

This phone is a massive dissapointment and I'd advise you again getting it, or any other walkman phone on the market. SE obviously haven't taken time to check for bugs, just released it as quickly as possible. It restarts itself very frequently with the message 'inactive sim' when there is clearly nothing wrong with my simcard. It also gives me the 'emergency calls only' message on the front screen and network coverage does not return until you turn the phone off and turn it back on. I had exactly the same problem with a previous phone I had, the w910i. It is also a walkman phone which leads me to believe that walkman phones are not competent for usage. I strongly advise you to decide against getting this phone if you are thinking about it.
