I have this phone for over 2 years The problem? IT CAN'T BREAK!! I really want an iPhone 4s So I. Try breaking this one But unfortunately it cant! I try scratching the screen putting it on water Nope it still works How can I break it internally??

After 3 years it looks like i might have to lay my beloved phone to rest, the internal speaker has died. Having done the usual battery and sim card out for a clean which has rectified this problem before I still cannot hear my callers unless i put it on loud speaker. This phone has been more than excellent when I go to upgrade I can't bear to think of life without so just get a deal on my price plan, if any one knows if I can get this fixed for not a lot of money please let me know. No problems otherwise with this phone it maybe behind it's modern iphones and androids but I will miss it so much. It's the white with pink flowers version RIP

HI, i'm from the philippines, w595 features are great but why is it that there is a major GLITCH in the system, it has been in my possession for almost a year now, and just last month my phone started shutting down on it's own, then starting back again, and just this week it has been going on and on, and therefore i cannot really use it now.

I really fed up with this Phone. Just after 1 year its not at all working properly. Sliding, display, & mother corrupted issues disappointed me alot and frustated with roaming aroung sevice centers. Please dont select this mobile. I reaaly lost 10K on this.

I will never never ever get one of your mobiles ever again. I had a W595 on a plan which has recently expired [with 3] no problems with the provider, but I deceided to keep the phone and go with another carrier. Big mistake for me signed with the other carrier only to find that I couldn't get the your phone unlocked. I later found that I could but at a cost. I ask you why pay front up if you have to pay again. Shame on you.

Brought this phone and I am so disappointed, I am back to using my Samsung G600. I really wanted to like this phone but since having it I've had problems. It must be a faulty phone; first the memory card wiped everything off, then the earpiece broke and now it wipes off my contacts. The media menu has also wiped off for some strange reason. Only thing I liked about this was the camera, as well as the layout and the emoticons. Apart from this I think it is poor and I can't use it because it isn't reliable. The camera doesn't have a flash which I didn't like. Wasted my money on this and I've never had a phone that has gone wrong so often.

I have had this phone for a year now, and it has began to delete contacts, not connet to netowrk ect. It has been sent off for repair once but still have the same problem. Its a good phone if you get it brand new, but after a while it can go wrong.

Good on the whole, but does have a habit of turning itself off and then on again. This does then mean that the key lock is no longer on...

Got this phone in february and it worked perfectly fine, i was happy with it. However,after 2-3 months half the buttons stopped working and it started to delete half my contacts which I did not like at all. The calling button also stopped working. The only good point I can say about the phone is that it is great for listening to music.I would not reccomend this phone at all so now I am getting a blackberry.

i have had the sony ericcson w595 for about 2 years now n overall great phone, got a lil bit ov a wobbly top but nothing major, also i have the same problem with the lighting on numbers 1,4 and 7(seem brighter) also ive just experienced my volume buttons on the side have gone from a click to being really stiff???? n e 1 else having the same problem???? also the front buttons like the c and the bottom half ov the circle has also gone from a click to being really hard to press, n e suggestions

This is the second one I have had and the only problem I have is that the space key is getting stuck then its putting in letters etc of its own accord. Obviously a manufacturing fault. Plus it turns itself off now and again.

Hi have the sony ericsson w595 and loved it when I got it for my birthday. But I have a lot of criticism. The back is EXTREMELY hard to get off. And once you've got the hang of it, the back gets loose. When I dropped it on grass, (first time I dropped it) bits came off the back, then, after a while the whole phone cracked. It's very thin and slim which looks great but can be a problem when it comes to accidents.

got this phone in pink half a year ago, replaced the covers to grey which about a month later was fine, the phone worked with no problems to the system except 1. i have had this phone previously and also had the same problem which i now believe to be a factory fault: The phone occaisionally automatically shuts itself down but almost immediately turns back on with the usual vibrate but then a blank screen. It then, instead of doing the usual startup procedure, goes straight to the home screen with nothing but the background for a few seconds, then it returns to normal. However, it being the 1st day of the first month of 2011, it has developed a few more problems since i left it out of battery in a car overnight, not usually a problem? take a read... The phone now fails to recieve ANY contacts, from niether the phone or sim card. I cannot send texts, nor recieve them. It has deleted ALL my saved, inbox, outbox, sent messages and drafts. On "general settings" on "messages" i cannot click catergories, and now when i click "Email" it just refreshes the "Messaging" page where Email is located. On manage messages it has nothing, on the "On memory card" section it says the memory card is not inserted, although when i go onto the service tests, it says "memory card status: Inserted". It can recieve calls, although i cannot make calls and when i try to check my call lists, it says they are empty even though ive just missed a call to make sure it would work. Also the media player has no images, no music, no video, but only my 4 games and 6 web feeds and it will not update the media. Though the files on the memory card are present in "Media Album", they fail to appear in the media player. Basically its a great phone, hence why i bought it twice after taking it for a swim in a river for half hour. But, BEWARE if you drop it, or leave it in a brand new BMW 3 series overnight on new year. be prepared to buy a new one.

i bought this phone 2 years ago.i love it was working perfectly.but this last 1 year the phone has been jamming and gettin stuck.once i had to get the battery out of the phone because it dodt rlly stuck and non of the buttons was working.camera is great,takes decent photos.overall i would recommend this phone.But dont lose the warranty card or ur stuck!

I wish i had a good review. Mine is the exact opposite actually. I originally had the w580i which i loved, it worked perfectly for almost 2 years. Anyways, receied the w595 as a replacement phone, had it barely a month and it stopped working. When i would turn the phone on it would only pull up the sony ericsson screen and nothing else. Received a replacement for my replacement phone and it was also the w595 and 2 weeks later it did the same thing. I wish i had a good reveiew like the rest of you cause i would have a phone right now!

Truly eye candy phone i must say, plays music in xcelent quality but being a walkman phone, it ticks me off that it doesnot come witha a standard 3.5mm audio jack n the ear piece that ships with the phone are quite substandard. The phone is light weight and feels good in your hand. I have been using mine for almost 1 and a half year and it didnt gave me any problem. The software is stable n never faild. Great phone

I've had this phone for around 9months, and it's generally quite useful not overerly fantasic, but if you look after it, you will have alot more use out of the phone. If I was going to buy this phone, I'd definatly get it on contract, Internet service is usually in working order, but from time to time freezes. The cammera is alright, again not overely special but you can make it out. Personally, my over all view is that, it's a decent phone, but can break ever so easily, so I would reccommend, but you have to look after it to get more use. 7/10

extremely rubbish has broken down 3-4 times now have taken it back to the shop and sent me a new phone but the same one and the same thing happened to that one! would not recommend that phone to anybody.

This is a great wee phone. It does a lot and is great for sending data and e.mails etc as well as all the usual things. Not sure what I would replace it with if battery went or had to upgrade.

Got this phone about a year ago in September and i am not impressed with it, had to get it replaced once and fixed twice. Within two weeks the activity menu button wasn't working and then the phone switched itself off. I turned it back on but it went off again and this kept happening until i took the battery itself out and put it back in. I tried another attempt to turn it on but no luck, the same thing was happening. Took it back to o2 the next day and they gave me a replacement. It was fine for the next 6 months before it started happening again, this time they sent it away to get fixed and within a week or two i got it back and it was fine again. A couple of months later the screen went nuts, the screen colour was changing and going all fuzzy (like the way the TV goes all black and white and screwed up) once again i had to get it sent away and got it back within a week. So far nothing has happened to it, but i would definitely not recommend this to anyone.

I purcahesed a pink w595 phone January 2010, i didnt buy an insurence but with the phone you get a 6 month warentee, within that 6 month i had to recieve two! newly repaired phones as they kept becoming faulty. after the 6 month warentee ran out, my phone once again became faulty, i was able to sort this problem out over the phone, but a month later my speaker went and all sound was gone, they refused to give me another phone basically saying you should have got insurance, which yes maybe i should have but you don't expect to have a phone for just under 9months and have it become faulty 5 times! I would never buy this phone again it is utter rubish!

I've had this phone for more than 16 months...it works great expect few faults.. 1. The steal finishing on the top and bottom side of the phone has been completely scratched out. 2. Very slow performance from the first day itself. 3. No flash, so never expect the camera to work in night. 4. Eventhough the sound quality is good, the ear phones will not be useful when travelling. 5. If you try to use multiple applications at the same time, the phone gets switched off. 6. The keypad and volume keys are good, it depends on how you use it. 7. The sonyericsson pc suite will not work most of the time. Error: "no phone is connected". 8. Cannot play mp4 videos. 9. Video recording quality is not good. Out of all the above odds, really it's a nice phone. I'm still using it and I love it.

I have had this phone for around 9 months now. For the first 8 months, wow. I absolutely fell in love with this phone. But ever since last month, the phone has been creating an endless list of problems for me. Firstly, the earspeaker stopped working. Then the Volume Up button became unimaginably stiff. And recently, my end key stopped working. The phone feels extremely cheaply made. There is a tawdry plastic feel to it, and I feel that the phone is starting to mess up slowly because of how poorly it was made. Totally unreliable. Abstain.

I have had this phone a year now. And i only have two complaints about it. First one is that it switches itself off a lot. The second is that the slider is not very solid in it. After a few months mine became quite stiff. Other then that its a good enough phone. But i will not be getting another sony ericson phone!

Mine is mostly well behaved but ive only had it 3 month. menus seem very sluggish at times, battery life is an acceptable 5-6 days at most and the 10 second limit on sms tones is a bit annoying at times. Id recommend buying a screen protector for these phones as they are very cheap and the screen is very easily scratched.

This phone is good but there are a few faults. I first made the mistake of getting it when the touch phones came out so now I'm looking to change this phone :( But anyway, the camera does not work any more as when I try to take a photo it says "saving" then it isn't in any of my camera albums :S Also whenever I charge it it does not come up as charging but whenever I unplug the charger it says "charging" :S :S ODespite these faults the phone is a really good phone with a superb walkman xD Not perfect, but a great phone!! :)

My 3 month old w595 from Orange has just lost ALL my contacts and stored phone numbers!! Orange say it's a software glitch, and that I should've backed them up. I've had at least a dozen moble phones over the last 14 years and never had anything like this problem happen. Also the battery life is poor, the camera's rubbish (won't zoom on any setting other than VGA resolution). The set up for allocating different ringtones to different phone number contacts is really limited, compared to the last 2 Motorola phones I've had. Can't recommend one!!

Do not bother with this phone. Be warned. What a load of dross. If i was allowed to swear about this phone on this site i would. Its absolutely terrible. for the first 4 months worked perfectly, then all of a sudden, boom. the phone from hell. would not receive messages, wouldnt charge, said serious error whilst charging, please contact the sony ericsson call center and refused to work. spent 1hr on the phone to voadafone, first lady was helpful, second guy resulted in me asking for my PUK code . dont even bother trying to contact Sony Ericcsson, you'll get nowhere and sitting on a cactus or sandpapering your nether regions would be a less painful experience. when you do get through, you'll be dismissed as another faceless consumer that the big corporation couldnt really care about. how dare you question the quality of their products? For me, as my family are spread out, we rely on text messaging a lot as speaking can be difficult with the jobs we do. i realised i h adnt received text messages for three days. phoned vodafone. they said all messages had been delivered to me. pointed out to them id even sent myself a testtext message which hadnt been delivered from my work phone. they couldnt comprehend that sometimes consumers trying all solutions before phoning up call centres. asked them if they could resend the text messages from the previous 72hrs or if there was anywhere i could download them from. not possible i was told.. moral of the long winded story. if you want reliable communciations, do not rely on Vodafone or use Sony Ericsson communications products.

I have had this phone for almost a year now and most of the time i love it! However just 3 months into owning it i started experiencing problems. It would not turn on the screen would just say "a serious error has occured". Turns out the whole software needed replacing. And now for the second time the keypad has come off my phone! I slid it up the otherbday abd there was a ripping sound and the whole keypad just came off. They are not individual buttons even though it looks like it they are all connected to the thin plasctic surrounding them. The slide part has also come loose, and i don't drop my phone much, it just comes from wear and tear. Overall a great phone but with hopeless build quality and still a bit glitchy.

I would warn people not to buy this phone. the phone itself to use is great however after 7 months of having this phone it started going wrong. deleting my sim card, switching itself off and wont come back on again it just buzzes. its under a manufacturer 2 yr warrantee but in the past 4 months i have now sent this back 4 times, each time when it is returned it does the same thing within a week. i am at my wits end with this phone. save yourself some hassle and get something more reliable.

Not one of the best phones iv had, bought it on 3 network about a year ago. so far the volume buttons are broken on the side, the phone crashes quite alot and the walkman player is stuck on now playing (fortunetly all my music is in a big playlist). Also battery life is poor particularly if playing music or calling people, standby battery life is good but what good is my phone if i don't use it? The only good thing to report is 3 are the best pay and go network iv been with 600 free texts and 150mb internet free when you top up �10, however calls are 25p per min.

My and my friend got the same phone, same colour. its a really good phone but a few months later, my friend said that one of the buttons on the side broke in half when she touched it. A few months later after that, my phone's bottom and right buttons (on the keypad) had froze so i couldn't use them up until now... so its a good phone.... just take care of it!

Had this phone for almost a year. Got it in September 2009 and it got sent off to be fixed twice within a few weeks. Its a great wee phone when it works which to be honest, isn't that often. Not been able to afford a new one but hopefully soon! Please, if you want a new Sony Ericsson that ISN'T a touchscreen, get a W995. I think that is what I'm gonna get next as it has brilliant reviews. Anyway, I'm giving the W595 only 2 stars.

Quite simply, the W595 is the worst phone I have ever had. On a 2 year contract with Vodafone, with less than 1 year gone, it has completely failed on me 4 times. It's almost as if there's too much technology inside for it to cope. The walkman facility regularly loses access to tracks I've put on, the text messaging stops for no reason, messages are lost and it sometimes doesn't recognise it's own SIM card. I'm now wary of Sony Ericsson fullstop!

Nothing but trouble. I've had to reformat it 5 times since getting it in January as it stops working. I.e. stops sending/receiving texts, losing contact info and buttons falling off. I hate this phone and wish I never got it. This is being typed as I have to reset my phone die to failure

The second Sony Ericsson phone I had after W660i. Bought it about a week ago and I'm impressed with the sound quality and its stylish design. A good 3.2 MP cam that got me snapping everything that cathes my eye. The Shake Control is very good.

I've had this phone since October/November 2009 and it has been completly problem free until the last few days, when several of the buttons have stopped working. Although a few have came back into operation of their own accord overnight, several, namely the '2', '3' and down arrow buttons aren't working at all. I'm planning on taking it into the Orange shop tomorrow, and demanding a decent repair or a replacement.

this is the worst phone EVER! i have had it replaced 7 times now, since october 2009. this phone nearly blew up on me, the battery has popped, buttons have stopped wortking, and mostly it just won't swich on. please just a warning, don't buy this phone, don't put yourself through the days of angry calls to orange just to be put on hold for hours on end, please!

The phone and features itself is good, but the amount of prblems i have had with it is unbelivable. I have had sooooo many problems with sony ericsons i will never have one again. It has fits, wont charge, buttons break, 3 of my friends and my brother have had to get theirs repaired so many times. Honestly...just dont get it.

Useless phone ... I have purchased it ... suffered a lot because of this ..... and became so frustrated with the brand and especially with it's post purchase service that now one thing I know for sure that I am always going to advice my friends, relatives, coworkers and other acquaintances not to purchase Sony Ericsson. It frequently shows display problem for which ur phone 'll be long rusted in service center. If you don't believe me search over internet for a detailed info.

i got my first w595 handset in august 2010 on a vodafone contract, i liked the look of it and was at first was quite impressed with it until the problems started, i am now on to handset number 3 after 6 break downs and no clear answer as to what the problem is. for each breakdown it kept coming up with the same default setting asking me to "please insert sony ericsson battery" and wouldnt allow me to use any function. for every phone i sent away it returned with a different half hearted excuse for what went on. the truth is folks there are problems throughout the software that sony just dnt seem to be able to get on top off. i for one have lost all faith in both the handset and sony ericsson and suggest potential buyers to give this handset a wide berth.

I was well chuffed with this phone for the first few months, but then the screen would go black or freeze continually. Put it in for repair and it took 4 weeks, 4 weeks of a rubbish loan phone that i still had to pay �25 a month for!! Got my phone back, and it was fine for a month or so before switching itself off again and having to get that loan phone AGAIN. Said i wasnt happy with the phone and i would prefer a new phone all together, but the carphone warehouse policy is to repair your phone 5 times before they give you money to buy a new one. Dont buy this phone, honestly, i was told, but didnt listen as i liked the Ed hardy design.. What an idiot.

I bought this phone recently thinking that it was W580i(metro pink),the colour of my W595 was peachy pink. As I was not familar with the models, I bought it.The colours and even the functions are similar to each other. I do not know if this is a bad point or a good point, but I hope that Sony Ericsson may do some changes to W595 to make it stand out in the crowd.

I have this phone, i got it in January 2010 and i was amazed on how great it was for such a cheap price! but once again Sony Ericsson have failed to provide a phone which will work! for the first 4 months of having the phone no problems up until about 2 hours ago when it turned itself off and wouldn't come back on until it decided to come on and when it did turn on the navigational keys wouldn't work then it would turn off again. Overall it's a good phone but still only a 3 star rating as some of the problems from the W910i still have not been fixed!

I've had this phone for over 6 months and can't find fault with it at all. Been a fan of Sony Ericsson for ages but this is the best one I've had. The screen is lovely, menu is a cinch to operate and it isn't overly complicated unlike so many other phones. I'm not overly interested in the fancy stuff - basically I only wanted a phone with FM radio and MP3 player built in. However they certainly got it right with this little gem. Admittedly the photo nuts out there probably would benefit from a flash but that doesn't really bother me at all. If you're looking for a bargain then this should be on your shortlist!

When it works I love this phone, i use it with sony speakers in my car as an mp3 player,the camera is great, video bit weak tho. BUT....within a few months the screen had a crack, o2 refused a repair as they said it was a pressure mark caused by me when i slide the screen open, that cost fifty quid to fix. Then the software started to play up, four times its crashed and ive had to get hold of peoples numbers again! i do software upgrades regularly but now and again it just freezes and crashes. Despite this ive had this phone over a year and like i said when it works its brilliant :|

Ive had to fight my daughter to use my phone,the usual remarks when I had it were its not too fast for you dad is it etc but when others have stopped working in household SE W595 was there.So there isnt a flash on camera so take photos in daylight some flash camera phones produce much too grainy results anyway in lowlight or dark.I honestly cannot fault mine the weight and the feel of it did it for me if I have as much success with SE X10 I shant be dissapointed.

I love the pink W595! The only thing that I wish it had was a front camera, flash for the camera at the back and wi-fi. If it had those, it would be the in the top 5 Sony Ericsson phone for me.

Sony erricson cell walkman phone is a very nice produc.I have been always using only sony erricson mobile phone there is no any one product to compare with it.And its sound is also very very perfectin digital.Its structure/desighne/colours/as wel as its out looksvery nice. unbelievably bad fone!!! Every person i know who has had this fone tells me it broke really quickly. My screen packed up almost immediately - first a black splodge in the bottom corner then the screen deciding for itself whether to display anything or not. Then the casing fell apart. Most of my friends experience similar problems - DO NOT buy this fone ever. You have been warned!!!!

It has been the best phone i have ever owned. Got it as a present, on orange pay as you go active blue. Recently unlocked the phone as i wanted to swich to o2. Had no faults with the phone at all.

I red all these reviews and decided to buy this phone anyway. I got this phone 5 days ago and it couldn't play videos on youtube at all. I got 3G phone with sim free card, but had to put vodafone settings on it. I couldn't use enterntainment settings cause it was 3G phone so every internet page I had to type in 3 section separately but it could not open many internet sites or you would have to type several times to open it. Once you open site with videos on line it could not play them either. Some site were only be abled to be open through google. Also I could use video calls with people who were 3G only, but it has only one cam not two. It means you can not see yourself and person you are talking to at the same time. And cam at nite is too dark. It failed to delete my videos several times. 3.2 mgp cam is worse than 2mgp cam on my last SE810i. When I tried to download pictures on pc, SE PC suite was in different languages and I download it, but Media menager was only in chinese language. So I had to call chinese guy to put settings in english. When I got to my files they were all locked and could not be transfered. So I had to return it back to the shop, but they said it is not their fault if the mobile has different settings and can not uplad or do certain things cause it is not hardware fault.

I got this phone for my birthday, loved it but after a while the buttons stop working and all i have to do to get it working is push the walkman button and it works fine but its annoying especailly when i am in the middle of a text other than that its fantastic i love it that was the only fault i have with it.

WORST PHONE I HAVE EVER HAD, EVER!!!ON MY FOURTH ONE NOW COS THEY WON'T SWAP IT FOR A DIFFERENT ONE AND NOW ON THE LATEST, BRAND NEW, ONLY AFTER A WEEK 2 OF THE BUTTONS HAVE STOPPED WORKING!!!2 HAVE STOPPED CHARGING AND THEN WONT TURN BACK ON, THE OTHER MADE ALL THE TEXT GO FUNNY AND TURN OFF!!!WORST PHONE EVER!!!

iv only had this phone a year, it is the wrst phone i have taken it to te repair guy multiple times annd my '3' button barely works which is the one with e on it and the slide broke my screen turns black when i slide it up nd just turn it on worsstt phone possibleee i thin only good thing is i dropped it in the ocean and it worked fine after that

Got this phone on a Vodafone contract upgrade in January 2010, it has now packed up altogether to the point it wont even switch on, I've lost all my contacts and it will now have to go away for repair leaving me with no phone at all. Added to this my wifes Sony Ericcson also randomly switches itself off & freezes so in short we would NEVER BUY ANOTHER SONY ERICCSON PHONE AGAIN. Be warned & don't expect much help if you're with Vodafone either - they're hopeless.
