i loved my phone and i have had it for almost a year then when a black line devoloped on my phone i got worried but then the next day it was gone so i just forgot about it but the next day after i got out of the shower there where lines all over my sony ericsson i freaked out and i have no idea how to fix it im such big trouble i want to get it fixed but i dont want to pay a bunch of money to get a new one even though i have insurance but no one tells u how to get the black lines off ur screen with out having to open it up and have a new screen put in and i axidentally locked my phone and i think its so stupid to hav somthing like that on there it cost my $60 dollars to get it fixed to everyone out there when a black line shows up on ur screen take it in right away or u might get sqrued like i did so take my advise

This phones strong points are its walkman player sounds very good and stereo bluetooth streaming to an active speaker is also good Because it has an HSDPA modem (With the Sony software for pc) it does function as well as any "dongle"for 3g access. What lets it down is it can be slow to adjust the screen from landscape to portrait on tilt-imo, really, if you are going to put this feature in a phone it should be fast or not a feature at all Do too much with it when it's steaming audio via bluetooth and you'll notice speed variation enough to put you off the song - you can't easily make a call when in walkman player. In fact entering 112/999 (emergengy service numbers) does not make the phone stop being a walkman instantly-so don't be playing music if you are in trouble! The numberpad is not sturdy and mine failed at 9 months on the "*" key to start with-despite using voice dialling. Gold "look" plating on the bigger terminals (charging headphone,data at side always seem to fade or look awfull after a certain amount of charges throughout the sony phone range. 10 months in,it's time for a touchscreen with maybe a worse music player but more reliable way to dial out. It's def worth keeping as an MP3 player -camera is below average Battery cover is mega cheap looking and fragile.

I got this phone on thursday the 4th march. I actually liked it - was quite convenient for me. Except, friday the 12th (a week and a day later!:@) - out of the blue it started messing up. first the hang up button + left nav key stopped working, the slider didn't affect anything: sliding it did nothing, the screen went black and I had to press any working button to make my screen visible again. Then within 10 minutes all the buttons on the front stopped working. - I couldn't even read my new texts or accept calls. I am so frustrated with it - I was hoping there was a way to sort it, or maybe other people experienced the same thing. :|

dont buy this phone seriously i have it on contract i have had 2 have 4 handsets because there has been the same technical fault on all of them im getting fed up and i have only had the phone about 6 months :@

well when people ask me if the sony ericsson w595 i say its an amazing phone as: it has outstanding picture, video and music quality; its a really nice looking phone which comes in gorgeous colours (mines in peachypink; its easy and simple to use; you can get it on most contracts(well the good ones anyway); it has a built in walkman for petes sake good grief to the people who slate this phone I value your opioin but its a brilliant phone i use it instead of my i-pod! as its easier to just have one on you its basically the walkman version of the i-phone I know the other kept breaking and had bugs but this one has no bugs as i reasearched the phone beforehand i was doubting it but it is one of the best buys i've ever made i've got it on a orange pay as you go so i put it on the monkey contract and its amazing the buttons are a reasonable size these are the only problems i have with it: theres no flash, the backs extremaly hard to get off and the texts are quite hard t o get your head round but apart from that no problems. With its massive phone space long bettery life and other amazing features i think it will help our nations increadable amount of touch phones it has a fighting chance of being one of the best phones on the market

I bought my W595 3 weeks ago and im not happy with coz of the battery life!!! My battery lasts for 4 hours and im using the GSM network...I think it should be 9 hours instead. what shall I do?

Good phone while it lasted. I have had it 14 months and now some of the buttons don't work. Battery life isn't too good either. Walkman was good and camera was also good. But only lasting 14 means I can't recommend it. Good job it was free on my contract. Would I get another? No

well ive had it 6 months & tonight its broke for no reason. just turned itself off & when i turn it back on it just says sony ericsson and then turns off again, vibrates & blacks out over + over. had full battery and no problems with it before. thats my 2nd sony ericsson that fucked up. so id stay away from it if i was youu. im gonna get the samsung toco lite now.

I loved this phone when i first had it (sept 09) but I am now on my second model after being given a replacement in December. Now experiencing the same problems again, freezes, resets itself, lose contact information, wont let me charge etc. I am really disappointed as when it works, this phone is great!

My mum has this phone. And it seems to work fine. No problems at all. Im also thinking about getting it. The camera is brilliant. She has it in contract and its a really good phone I recommend it I don't find any problem with it. The battery life is also brilliant. It also holds a lot of photos and songs. For those from ages 11-14 taking photos. :) I recommend it truly :)

Brought the SE W595 phone on Wednesday and its turning into a nightmare with the battery life. I called the Orange shop I got it from and when I took it in yesterday, they changed the battery. Last night I had 3/4 of a battery, turned the phone off for the night and when I turned it on this morning, it only had 1/4 a battery left. (I currently use a Samsung T100, an old phone but its battery lasts 3 days). I called the shop again today but they are refusing to give me a refund for a faulty phone. Will never buy a SE phone again or purchase one from Orange for that matter - a real disappointment.

hi bought the fone at the begining of the year. was delighted for the first three weeks but like my last sony w910i it was short lived. w910i after 3 weeks kept swithching itself off and freezing and changing its own settings. now the w595 is causing me probs after a couple of weeks on making and recieving call the person on the other end has started speaking long befor you can hear them and when making call you dont hear any ring tone and long time before you can hear them. has anyone else had this prob

Great phone, absolutely love it! has everything! yes the lack of a flash is hard to get used to after having a phone with flash but the rest of the phone is perfect. Walkman 3.0 is much better than 2.0, the flash themes make it amazing, the speakers work beautifully and the two GB memory card is the icing on the cake.

I love this phone. Its a brilliant phone no matter what you are doing. It has fantastic features like the loud speakers. But it doesnt seem to last that long battery wise. I charged it for three and a half hours and the next morning, it was close to being dead. Apart from that, its a good phone and I hope this isnt enough to put anyone off of it.

i just got my w595 i thought it was gr8 with all the features. but its started turning itself off. its fully charged and now it wont turn on at all its completely dead! im gutted! anyone have ideas on how i can fix it before i send it back?

I don't use the camera or music. However: superb. Pros: Displays the web brillinatly (even better than my old O2 XDA Orbit 2 from HTC), good feel, excellent email facility. Cons: some buttons and menu structures take time to get used to eg, sending Txt msgs. No GPS. Moving on, battery life is ok to good. Would be nice to change font sizes (make smaller). Very easy to sync with Thunderbird via third party software MyPhoneExplorer. Bargain buy - does the same job as a �200 smartphone and just as well if not better.

Have only had this phone 6 months. The volume button on the side doesn't work anymore and took it back to get repaired. Have now been told the phone is water damaged!!! It hasn't been near water...!!!! There is now no warranty cover because of it!!! I'm very disappointed... :-(

3rd model of this phone and now exactly same faults as other 2. the bottom 3 buttons on keypad now cease to work and cannot move the spacer across to the next word when texting, found an alternative and more inconvenient way of doing it with the arrow keys, and now suprise suprise they dont work either, bit by bit each of the buttons on the keypad are packing up . cannot ring out by simply hitting the phone button as suprise suprise this doesnt work either now !! half the keys work only. The phone is ten mths old, but considering on a payg contract it cost me nearly �200 I would have expected it to be lasting alot longer. The screen freezes yet always has done and this is something Ive gotten used too, additionally it goes blank for a few mins and then "comes back to life" A great phone initially and Im gutted its broken but after having 3 of them I no longer have faith in it, when its been the same with each one. Changed to the c902 model and hoping thats somewhat better.

I bought this phone today and after playing with it for a while i am still amazed with all the gadgets on it, this is the best phone i have ever had alot better then my old Blackberry Curve 8520 i would recomend this phone to everyone, one of the best buys ever!

After owning a 910i for 17 months it finally had a software fault i could not fix, so i searched for a replacement. As my 910i did exactly what i wanted (apart from crashing) i looked for something similar, this is where the w595 comes in. Im pleased i have bought it because it does 90% of what the 910i did without the faults straight from the box. I shave stuck to sony because i find the walkman part of the phone excellent to use and with this phone coming with two built in speakers you wont be disappointed. The phone does respond slightly slower than the 910i but this is probably why it is reliable. The camera is fine, takes decent long video too. Overall i would advise you to buy it and with a 2gb sd card supplied, a bargain.

I would never buy a W595 again. Yesterday the front screen reverted, for some unknown reason, back to the 'phone symbol and I also found that I had lost all the photographs on my mobile, plus all downloads and ringtones that I had paid for as the software itself had crashed and there is no way of getting them back.

I just bought the w595 phone and on first impressions it is a really good phone. Battery life is good i can go for 2 to 3 days without charging it, the only thing i have found wrong with it and i was wondering if anybody else has noticed is the slide part of the is wobbly.

I got this phone a few months ago and it is generally quite a sturdy phone, it doesn't feel too plasticy and breakable, slide mechanism is okay, and the camera is really impressive, as well as the PhotoDJ editing feature. My concern is that about 3 weeks after a got it, the backspace/c key started jamming up, and as i use it alot when writing messages, that really is a problem, as it hurts my finger when i use effort to press it down, it's not like the other buttons that on a light press, they click, it feels as though the 'click' has gone. Over time, my hang-up/turn-off key has jammed up badly, the space key and the down button on the navigational pad. This is my biggest issue so far and it constantly annoys me. Apart from that, good battery life, i usually charge it every night but it could easily last 2 days without charge, i think the longest without charge was 3 days and 2 nights, and then the battery was down to 15%, i was really happy with that, as my last phone (Motorola V600) was a much heavier an chunkier phone but couldn't last longer than a day. so overall, its an okay phone, i've dropped it a few times and its all okay, but the jammed buttons really is bad ): so basically, if you text a lot and jamming buttons annoy you, i wouldn't recommend this phone. but if the walkman is really all you're after then you'll be pleased (:

This phone is great...when its working. It has to be said, this phone is not for the accident prone or people who love their photos, video and music. Not sure if this happens to anyone else, but if the phone gets a slight knock, it wipes out allll your photos, music and videos. This has happened to me about 8 times and the first time I got really worried. Usually, If you take everything out of the phone (ie; battery, memory card, SIM), leave it for a few hours and then put it back in it goes back to normal. Although, I went sledging on Wednesday with my phone in my pocket and it must have got either wet or knocked. I've doine what I usually do but my photos, music and video haven't come back this time! So, I lost 400 photos, 50 music and 40 videos. :( But, if your careful with the phone its great :)

Worst phone Ive'e ever had honestly. Had problems with it from day one. At the begining it would freze when I took a photo and I'd have to restart the phone. Then it wouldn't charge. When it did eventually it would not 100% charge and take forever to do so. Constanly froze when receiving a message while texting. Then one day I turned the phone off and it decided it didn't want to turn itself back on. Horrible phone, never buying a sony ericsson phone again after the disaster of this. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE

Great phone, although I've had some issues with it. When I go to charge it, it will not charge fully. Sometimes the battery is fully charged, yet the phone wil turn off as if the battery is dead. I also found the software on this handset seems somewhat sluggish, doesn't seem as smooth as it should be. The software doesn't seem optimised. Other than these issues the phone is excellent, great overall build quality, and sound is good. ****

I've had this phone for aprox 6 months and up till yesterday it has been excellent. I unfortunatly dropped it but as if I was dropped from a small height & onto carpet I believed there to be little damage, but once I picked up the phone I realised the whole screen had gone black with a few coloured scratches on the internall screen. It my dismay I can no longer see the screen, though my phone does still techincally work - I can play music on it following the same button procedure. I don't know if it was just my particular phone that was faulty or if it is a widespread problem, however I recommend that if you buy this phone you are very carefull about dropping it.

Got this phone 3 months ago and a few weeks after it started to turn itself off and then come on again. then the names on the incoming calls and received messages would disappear until i take the battery out and restart it. this went on until Christmas eve when I couldn't send or receive messages at all and no matter how many times I took the battery out, the names on my received messages/calls would not return. I took it back to the shop but I apparently have to pay for them to fix it and can only get back after the new year. It sucks. sounds like the w910i in the review. I'm regretting getting it, should have got Nokia. However all my previous Sony Ericsson's were great and just expected this on to follow suit.

I bought this phone mainly because I needed a new mp3 player and the walkman feature looked very promising. I'm not disappointed - the walkman works very well. Sound quality is excellent and the provided earphones are great quality for me. The mp3 player has an equalizer, shuffle and repeat modes, and you can browse by artist, genre, album and all that! It works quite well. The internet browser is very good, and looking at facebook or hotmail is great! Colours are vivid and the screen is bright. It has a calculator, converter, calander, stopwatch, etc. You can even use it as a remote control via bluetooth! The camera is mediocre at best - probably only something to be used at drunken parties to record something funny! Unfortunately you need to attatch a propriety headset jack to attatch earphones to the phone - but it's not as bad as I thought it would be and works quite well. One thing that does bug me a lot is that the User Interface is sluggish. Opening menus and scrolling through lists feels laggy. That might come to annoy me quite a bit! Also, since I got the phone from Orange, their firmware won't let you change the menu theme. You're stuck with their orange icons. They're nice to look at, true, but I hate imposed restrictions! Overall, this phone is pretty cool! For 100 pounds I'm not sure if you'll find a better one out there. If you already use an mp3 player, though, buy something cheaper!

My dad got the new i pod and gave me his phone it was a w580i and it fell apart then he said ok i will get you a phone. He got me a w595 before it was out and it is in MINT condition now and its been 2 years it is a great phone i agree with the review and it is 5 stars all the way from me *****

Got his phone for my birthday and I have had it fro rougly a few months, however the battery is not very long and as I listen to music on this phone I have to charge it once every two days, however overall this phone is really good. Overall i recommend this phone and I am happy with it.

This is a great phone at the start but 8 months into my contract with this phone the screen just died, i got it repaired and 2 weeks later the screen died again and this happend to two other of my friends, the volume button broke a couple of months into the contract but the phone has very good internet speed and great music player also has very cool themes but not a long lasting phone

Worst connector. Breaks with in a few months, even when you plug it in for only for charging. Warranty void in such cases. Will cost more than $ 20 for repair.

i got this phone off of amazon at around �110, pink on the T-Mobile network. I was really excited becuase it looked really good. Before i was going to get the sony ericsson w580i in pink, but then i read some reviews saying that the keys crack really easily, so i decided to get the upgraded version, w595. When i got it out of the box, it looked really good. I got a free 2gb memory card with it. Texting was really easy and fast. Also the camera was very good at 3.2 ,mega pixdels. The best thing about it is that i satored over 1000 videos and 600 pictures!!!! But because i am very clumsy, i dropped it a number of times =S so it got a fewscratches and scrapes. Though one day after school it got a glitch on the screen and wouldnt turn on :'( i was really upset as it was a brilliant phone. But im hopfully gonna get a samsung tocco lite soon *****- definatley recomend for anyone- but dont be clumsy liek me and drop it, or itll break "/

I think this phone is very good i have had it for about 6-7 moths now and ive had no problems with it. its bery good except for the lights on the keypad which some light up brigh and some dont and they change every day which is weird. the phone loads ok and i get free internet of 150mb with my network jsut for topping up �10 with 300free texts and unlimited free network to network mintues for a whole 3 months until it runs out. Overall i think this phone is good and one last thing the cover is ok but not exactly the best but it will do me for now. : )

I got this phone 4 months ago.. but today, it went off by itself then when i tried to turn it on again, it went on but it's stuck on the logo part.. I really love this phone sooooo much! I think I have a curse. You see, whenever I own any slide phone, the screen will have problems. Thos is my second slide phone so far. Seriously, I love this phone! I tried charging it again and again, I took the battery and the sim card and the memory card out, when I place them back, after I turn it on, the same thing happened, it will be stucked on the logo part.. i got this phone since last year and i serviced it like 6 times already ):. problems are the keypads coulddnt be pressed, sim card could not be readd, no network, lcd screen colour changed and many more. yesterday when i talked on the phone i realised the phone didnt show whts the duration i talked. i went to look at the call times and message counter it became totally 0. went to restart my phone, the time had change, battery dropped to like 10%. i went to charge and it showed "Serious error. Please stop charging. please sop using the phone & contact a sony erricison center" something like tht. then i couldnt recieve messages, now my warranty had ended can anybody help me? ):

Got this as an upgrade from the K770i. Liked the slide and slide lock. Casing is soft and doesn't scratch.Nice user interfacebut slow at times. Had trouble transferring old ring tones to ringtone folder.They went in the music folder so now I have to listen to all the ringtones in with my music tracks! SE cameras are usually good but not this one(3.2) and there is no flash or light.Poor video as well. The K770i camera(3.2) was far superior. Disappointed!

hahahah! i love this phone! but some said that they have problems in their screens and keypads,, anyway, i think it depends on the user,, i love every features of this phone! in terms of the battery, it doesnt take too long,, i own this for almost two weeks,, no probs at all except the battery,,and a little bit slow,, i hope no more further problems,, my friends ask the model of my phone because of its features but i keep it secret to them,,hahahah!, i dont want to have a similar phone with them,, therefore its A GOOD PHONE!

I got this phone about a month ago and love it! the only problem I have with it is that the battery life is not good at all. For about the 1st week, week and a half, it was great but since then, I havent got more than 3 days out of it. I dont make many phone calls and I would send the average number of texts an have yet to listen to more than one song a day. Any tips???

Amazing phone. Only problem is that it gets boring after a while. But if you are a frequent changer then this is probably the best slide in the market. Quite solid as well. Dropped it quite a few times on marble :-D and still going perfectly. Excellent. 4 1/2 stars. Not 5 cuz after 10 months im bored with it!

looks a lovely phone, purchased it for my daughter from phones 4 u only 5 months ago. We thought is was a fairly good phone but then the first one lasted 4 months and half the buttons stopped working. After a month of trying to repair it they replaced it. The new replacement lasted two weeks and could no longer hear anyone when making or recieving calls, the call volume button had packed in. i was offered 3 alternative phones but they were all very out of date models so have asked for a third W595 very much against my better judgement but have no choice. Will see how long this one lasts.

Please do NOT buy this phone. I got it in March which was only 8 months ago and I have suffered six breakdowns so far. These breakdowns have resulted in two replacement phones and the rest were repaired. The first 5 breakdowns involved the phone not being able to turn on but the latest relates to it being unable to connect to the network. It's a nice enough phone when it works but it hasn't made it past the 3 month point with me yet (the shortest period of time it has worked for is a mere 4 days!). It's pretty, I will admit that, but it is just not worth it. I implore you not to buy this phone!

Had this phone on an upgrade with 3 in july 2009. The phone itself is quite easy to handle with no problems encountered since I obtained it. I have found it to be compact and texting is a doodle.The camera I have to say is not the best especially when I compare it to my last phone (sony Ericsson 850i)but that may be due to the fact that the 850i was a 5.0 mega pixel and this is a 3.2.

I got this phone in blue from Orange. Its great! The camera takes very good photos but does not have a flash. Its also good looking and the slim slide design looks very stylish. This is also a walkman phone so you can shake it to change tracks. The FM Radio isnt bad at all. Ive not one thing bad to say about this phone. 10 out of 10!

Purchased this mobile a while ago. IS A VERY GOOD HANDSET. The sound on this thing is AMAZING, sounds 100x better then my ipod, and i'm not any audiophile. The speakers are excellent too. I only have 2 complaints. The media menu is SO SLOW! It's basically a copy of the PS3's XMB interface but for mobile, and if you are listening to music and want to change a song, the phone becomes practically un-responsive. And the Media menu's video player isn't too good, but you can access the other Video player by browsing for the file in the 'My Stuff' option in the organizer. Also the software on the device does freeze and crash, about twice day. Battery life is excellent

I got this phone a few weeks ago, and so far, its really living up to (and beyond) my expectations. I had my heart set on the navy blue colour, but as this is now an "old model" that was near impossible to find (even after looking in 5 electroics malls in both Australia and Singapore) and i had to settle for the 'Jungle Grey' which is mostly a light charcoal with irrdescent green highlights. The T9 dictionary on SMS is good and it is very simple to add words, unlike some of my phones in the past. The keyboard is slightly small, but not such an issue. i like how if i accidentally press the hang up/turn off button when trying to backspace text, it dosent just close the whole message, it asks me if im sure. This saves alot of hassle of trying to re-type whole lost texts =D Camera is awesome too, with a panorama mode which has really impressed me XD. my only issue is that i cant seem to work out how to configure my internet settings to use PlayNow and download new ringtones, it isnt very clear on what i should do. other than that, great phone!! I would definataly reccomend it.

i've had the W595 since January and although I really like the phone I've had a couple of problems with it. Firstly the camera has no light/flash, just a 'night' mode which is pretty useless so forget any night time photography! The other problem I've had is that it seems to connect to the Internet 'on it's own'. The connection is only momentary but enough to create small charges on to my bill!! I've tried updating the software but with no luck, it's been suggested that I just disable the Internet function - which frustrates me as it's a 'feature' of the phone so why should I. It has also been suggested it's a fault with the phone but the hassel of sending it off has put me off getting it resolved. Otherwise the phone is good and stands up to the general wear and tear of everyday use. I have also dropped mine on a few occassions and it's survived!!

very poor phone.... had it about 4-5 months and it turns its self off.... slow after a while.... and mine lost signal completly and i had to send the phone off to sony ericson for repairs but they couldnt fix it because there was moisture corosion that had been happening in my phone.... now ive never left it in rain or never been wet so how the hell could that happen? and they sent it back and im still using it despite poor network coverage (and i do mean poor!!!) and now the thing wont turn on! wont go past the sony ericson logo on start up and keeps telling me there isnt a sony ericson battery in it when i try charge it... dont buy this phone ... save your self

I got this phone 6 months ago, by now the novelty should have worn off but I still love it! On the back cover; usually with phones I'm constantly messing with the phone, taking off the back cover and putting it straight back on w/o even noticing...was super paranoid about the back cover breaking on this so I don't mess with it at all...it could be my 1st phone where the back cover isn't loose after a few months, so the dodgey back cover is a blessing in disguise! Deleting texts etc. can be a little slow but that's the worst thing. Too many good features to mention :-) Great phone, buy it now!

I had my old Sharp for 8 years before it finally died. I just wanted a phone to make calls, take pictures and listen to music. This phone was recommended, and i was not disappointed. It does all 3. Brilliantly. Music quality is excellent, radio works a treat, picture quailty is excellent, easy to use PC software, very happy.

i got the recently released "Ed Hardy" version and it completely broke three weeks after i got it. A few days later i turned it on and it was working again, everything apart from the camera. it has been about a month since and the camera still isnt working. when i go on the camera icon a little picture of a camera pops up and at the bottom it says press 0 for help but even if i do that it just goes back to my normal wallpaper page. Can anyone help me? xox

i bought the phone 2 month ago it's nice but when i am trying to charge it by it's own charger or in the usb cable it say's that ''serious error stop charging ,stop using your phone and contact sony ericsson call center''and the problem is there is no sony ericsson call center here in Ethiopia. I have had this phone for almost a year now and am looking to upgrade but as it says on the main review above; It just WORKS. I have never had a problem with this, sometimes I'll be on the phone for HOURS and it will still (After a year) have maybe 80-90% battery life left. They functions and gadgets of this phone are all pretty nifty and are quite pleasant and easy to use. Camera's not great but I didn't buy it for a camera I bought it for a phone. if you want a decent, cool looking slide phone, that has decent battery life, easy to work interface and incredibly simple to pick up how it works THIS IS THE PHONE FOR YOU!

I bought this Phone from the orange shop to go with my sim only deal to replace my lg viewty within a week I returned it as the battery only lasted a day they gave me a new batery but this didnt help so they then replaced the handset but still no better . over the next month I was plauged by poor signal and calls being cut off, returned again they sent it off to be repaired and was told it had to be sent to sony two weeks later got it back ,IT lasted three days then the screen went blank returned to the Orange shop and asked If I could reject the handset as I didn't think it was fit for it's purpose but it seems Im stuck with it ,they will just keep repairing it untill the warranty runs out.I use this phone for work and its just to unreliable every time it goes wrong I loose all my texts and Nos that I hadn't backed up

Have now had this phone for over 8 motnhs and has never given any problems. A full charge on the battery lasts me about 6+ days if only used for calls & texts. Am still 'discovering' apps that came bundled. Anyone who sings, is learning to play the guitar or keyboard should take a look at Musicmate.

Bought this phone July 09 Broke in August 09 And the I had to send it away. I didnt drop it or anything. Got it repaired. Kept going into music files everytime I did something else. The screen cracked when I slided the fone up. So that was now. October 09 Battery life is terrible! Hav to charge it everynight. Friend has same fone she does the same too. My other friend had problems with a SonyErcisson too. SONY ERICSSONS = BAD PHONES!! The Walkman Is Cool Though

I have had this phone for 4 months now and recently dampness occurred in a reason I don't yet know. The screen has gone in the opposite colour and is becoming blurred. I have tried letting it dry out but still hasn't worked I have been told that it may need a new screen but that may cost me up to 30 pounds and could even be more. If anyone knows how I can solve this problem could you please send a message back on this website. Other than this unidentified problem and how it happened the phone has been great and is by far one of the best phones I have ever had.

Great phone, downgraded my appaling N97 for this Sony, and nothing has gone wrong. I run email, skype, Walkmate, Walkman and phone calls at the same time and never have any issues. This is a quality phone.

I have a W595, it is a good phone no doubt, but a few days back the display went off. i took it to the service center and the reply i get is that the LCD is physically cracked and that it will not be covered under warranty. I was surprised, as there was not a scratch on the phone. i had taken very good care of it. I asked the service center personnel to give me in writing that the phone LCD was physically damaged and will not be covered under warranty, but he refused. I asked around and found 2 persons in my circle having the LCD problem which the service center had refused to cover under warranty. I feel this is a design problem from Sony which it is not ready to acknowledge or honor under warranty

It really is the greatest phone I've ever had, it looks great and is great in all. The only problems I have with it since I bought it a couple months ago, was that when I use the walkman and want to unlock it, without sliding it open, it doesn't always work. sometimes I have to try 6 or 7 times so it finally unlocks. The second problem is that although I used to have delivery reports, one day I realised I don't have them any more, so I went to the menu to enable that option, and it just wasn't there anymore! So, that's a kinda serious problem. I don't have delivery reports and there's no option anywhere! I searched everywhere, had other people to search for me too, everybody thought that's a little crazy... but for sure, it's not there anymore!

W595, it is a good size to handle, with a nice slide action of the front. Lot's of memory for music and photos. What I hate: the battery life is pathetic. I took it back to the shop after a month, thinking my battery must be problematic. My second battery dies just as fast as the first, sometimes in 48 hours with hardly any use. The "change tracks with a wrist flick" can also be annoying, just when you're getting into the music, someone bumps into you on the train, you move abruptly and the track has gone. The camera takes good pictures, very little zoom capability, though. And, lastly, I hate it that my wallpaper selection doesn't spread across the whole screen, but is stunted by a white strip, top and bottom. Overall o.k., the perfect phone has not yet been made.

Had this phone for 9 months now.When its working its a great phone ,great camera and great Walkman but the problem is this ....it has been the most unreliable and infuriating phone I have ever had!Its problems are too numerous to mention but I'll have a go.Phone locks out when dialing,talking,or ending a conversation.Sreen blacks out.Bluetooth wont pair up intermittently,on and on!Sent it back twice works for a few weeks then starts giving same problems.Overall, I can't recommend this phone as it has been so unreliable.

Well....i've had this phone for about 5 months and besides a broken display that i've had to change(don't even know how i managed to break it...i was extremely careful with the phone) the only problem i seem to have again and again with the phone is when i try to charge it..There seem to be some problems either with the charger or with the connection to the phone, it's realy annoying. Concerning the battery life i don't really have any complaints, i could get it last for about four days and haven't really made that much of an effort to achieve that.

Got this phone for Christmas '08 and i loved it, but by around February the middle button on the front of the phone had fallen off. I sent it away to be repaired, but by April it had fallen off again, i didnt bother sending away again, so i stuck it down with double sided tape which held it to september, but before the button came loose again for the 3rd time the number nine button fell off, now the number 6 button if sneaking its way off. But thats not the only problem with the phone, the screen dims and then goes brighter than you can set it, and then it turns off completly, you think taking the battery out then putting it back in would help but it doesnt, you have to leave it for 10 mins while it sorts itself out, also it turns off itself then back on and does this for about 5 mins, honestly never getting anothher sony again, its let me down, it doesnt zoom unless its on a vga setting on the camera, it does however hold alot of music, but thats only with a memory card.

the w595 is great! superb! i cant find any words to say about it well that is only on the 1st 3 weeks on the week after that buttons start not to work the cel freezes it restarts itself its movement sensors doesnt work then when you turn it off it wont turn on anymore all in all it's rubbish.

I just got this phone about 4 days ago and I love it. It's not a super feature filled Sony Ericsson, but more like a 'everything the basic person needs in a Sony Ericsson' kind of phone. Either way, it's still a great phone. And it's not heavy, atleast not to me. It's the same size as the W200, as I have compared. If your not looking for a fancy Sony Ericsson, I recommend it highly. If you want to save the world with your phone, move on to the next one. P.S - 2 Minor Cons: No Auto Focus or Flash, but I bought it in knowledge of it's faults. Like the song goes, 'Love me for these flaws I've got", and I do :).

Until my frend told me the hash button on hers stoped working and i was like maybe somethings is rong with her fone.. until some1 else told me the same thing.. and now it has happend to ME!

i got the w595 in april, i've never liked ericssons as all my friends have had them & they kept breakin so i thought i'd give it the benifit of the doubt. It looks good & is easy to use but in mid spetember my phone had difficulties making & recieving calls, the text messages would not go through or i'll recieve 4-5 in a row. i contacted my network provider of which they said it's a problem with the handsets that they've discovered. i've now exchanged my handset for a different make & model, sony need more work to do

I have had the w595 for just over a week, and I have to say, I LOVE IT! I am a bit wary about it as reading up on reviews of Sony Ericsson phones, I have noticed that they seem far from reliable. But, touch wood, my one hasn't given me any problems as of yet. The only thing about it I don't like is the high SAR rating, but I don't spend enough time talking on there for this to be a problem as I mostly text and keep calls short. It is very loud, I don't even need it at full volume. The camera takes nice snaps for sending in messages, which is all I use the camera on a phone for, and the lack of flash doesn't bother me. I have a digital camera. Also, you don't need software to put files on it. And last but not least I can get almost a week out of the phone before recharging with my amount of usage. So all in all, as perfect for me as a phone can be!

I�ve had this phone for about 6 months. Very pleased with it and the walkman features are great. I�ve not experienced any problems with the phone, and would give it 5 stars if it wasn�t for a slight annoyance of having to connect the earphones via an adaptor lead, which makes for a somewhat cumbersome connection.

Phone turners itself off half way through a text or call. Battery cover is pathetically flimsy & gonna break, it's practically guaranteed to!!! Keypad is very stiff & having trouble getting any response from my constant pressing of the numbers 1,4 & 7 especially when using it for texting...I've broken far too many thumb nails now this phone is on it's way back! Also if you text often it will cost you double the amount of other phones, a usual test message will have too many words & you are charged for 2 or 3 texts rather than the normal(average) size text on other phones....so ripping you off big time!!! Note - keep the protective cover on the screen...the protective cover is stronger than the actual screen!! The phone has about a 3 second visability/light...if you stop what you are doing for more than 2 seconds the screen goes black! I'm forever accessing V-Live by mistake as it is very easy to do & so drains your credit big time!! This phone is just a money maker for the service provider....don't get one!!!

Its a good phone, dont get me wrong. The picture quality is superb and the walkman feature with shake it controls is excellent. But ive had so many problems with it. The battery life is awful, i have to charge it every night, ive had to send it back twice after i had problems with it not charging about 2/3 months after i got it in october last year. Its started cutting out mid phone call now, and likes to turn itself off. The back gets really hot when i listen to the walkman. And now, when i go to slide it open, the screen decides not to work!! it works fine when its slid shut, its a right pain having to guess what im texting. Going to send it for repair tomorow. This hasent put me off buying sony ericssons though, i much much prefer them to any other make.

Does anyones W595 freeze and then turn its self off?? mine has been doing it for the last week now up to 5 times a day! is any one eles having the same problem?

Had this phone for 5 months now and have finally given up with it. It has had an intermittent fault whereby it turns itself off when sliding it shut. Fortunatley, had excellent service from Virgin mobile who have said they will replace. Offered another 595 but have taken a Nokia 6300 instead. Will never have another Sony Ericsson. Do not waste your time with this phone.

i got this phone on 22nd of june 09, by the 10th of august i had to take it back for replacement as it would no longer turn on! now on the 3rd of september my replacement is not working, it wont charge, turn on, and when it does turn on all the fonts are missiing! when it works its an amazing phone, but with repeating faults like this please forgive me for not sharing the enthusiasm.

i am using this phone. its picture quality is excellent among all the phones used by me or my family members. even the look and the features have made it a perfect mixture of tchnology and entertainment. when my friends saw this phone they were just like "wow..........". and i have say that "mere ko is phone ka nazar utarna padega" thank you for making this wonderful phone.....

i got this phone for my birthday this year and i was sooo pleased when i got it. i read the reviews and it seemed perfect but mines the complete oppisite! I have had so much problems with it including: My memory card comes out all the time, My battery comes out constantly, my sim card comes out, it frezzes, it wipes all my messages pics etc out, it turns of when i slide it down. it turns itself on AND it scratches really easily When i first got it, i had no problems but i have had it for about 5months now and im getting a new phone next week, i cant wait to get rid of it! DONT BUY THIS PHONE!!!!

I've only had this phone for two days. The pros are that the slider is really smooth and the phone itself feels sturdy. The battery life is really long and the graphics and music are excellent. Most of the applications are easy to use. However the key 4 is brighter than evry other and my phone restarted itself once already. In addition the back is truly hard to get off. Also my walk mate doesn't work. And my plan doesn't nclude Internet and now I can't have picture. Also I don't understand why when I slide up tv phone the screen lags a second then shows the wallpaper. All in all it is an ok phone.

you people must not see what i do!!! i bought this phone the day it came out and from the start i had problems with it,, the back of the phone had already started breaking off at each side. (That was in the shop when the women was checking it). Also about 2 month later i sat on it and racked te screen !! i only weighed around 9 and a half stone. Recently it will not recognise my sim tellin my its inactive therefore not allowing me to call anybody and if its not that then it will tell me i can only use it for emergancy calls. i have now given up and looking for a new REALIABLE phone to buy.

I got the Sony Ericsson W595 for Christmas last year (2008) and it has been back to the shops 4 times tomorrow!! though phones for you is ment to swap it on the 3rd time fault. I thought it was me mis using it then i had to re thinkand i havent miss used it. There are many faults, i have had a black screen, my phone turns itself off when it wants, it freezes, the back is flimsy and dont pull it off quickly do it gentley and slowly because 9/10 times it will break. Anyway i love my phone i cant go anywhere without it but this is unfair that we have payed good money for our phone and it is a poor standard. Also the walkman button on the side has stopped working. The phone does look good i must admit but a broken phone doenst. The camera should have a flash because that would improve the quality of the picture or video. Lastly my phone say its charging when its not. Infact it is actually taking some of the battery away!! Is this just me or is anyone else having these symptoms? thanks for reading it. i wouldnt really recomend it becuase there are too many faults.

I bought this phone after my Nokia 5310 Xpress Music broke. All in all, it's pretty good. The back is flimsy and hard to remove and the phone itself does scratch very easily. It has a lot of good applications though, and mine had a very good battery life too. I once had it turned on for over a week on 57% battery and I didn't need to charge it once. One big downside though. Mine never received any signal. Where "o2 - UK" should've been, it said "No ntwrk. coverage" or "Emerg. calls only". I now have the Nokia 5220 Xpress Music and it keeps freezing. I really want a Nokia N70 and apparently they are unavailable. Does anyone know where I could possibly find one, that is not eBay? I'd prefer to buy it new so I can always take it back to the shop in case it needs updates or whatever. Back to the point - Overall, the Sony Ericsson W595 is a nice-ish phone with good applications and some with good battery life. Just beware when it receives no signal. No amount of updates will fix it. Most walkman phones cock up a lot, I've found out.

i have to say i have had it for 9 months and usually had 3 phones in that time this is a really good phone, it does have bad points but the good points is that its been smashed across the floor so many times when im partying and it is still in great condition it is a smart phone athough battery for me last 2-3 days and i use internet everyday allday. the sound quality is amazing and lasts for hours and i use the radio on it which is good. one bad point is that 3 months ago my hash button completly stopped working but i got it sent of to get fixed and nonw it is amazing! x

the w595 is just as bad as the older phones i have had two freeze when i select phonebook then i have no signal and hence cant got on internet or text all within 10 days long way to go before i have another sony ericsson

when i first got this phone i thought it was really good but after havin it since december mine is broken. The other day i had to have my screen replaced due to it cracking and now i can only hear people in a call if it's on loud speaker. i don't recommend this phone. the music and picture facilities are amazing but the rest isnt good.

hate the phone, always turning itself off, then when i have it turned off on purpose, it turns itself back on. i actually had this phone as a replacement of my old w910i because i had 5 of those models and they all kept breaking, now i have had about 2 or three replacements of this model, the w595. And im about to contact orange for my next replacement. Sorry but i think the phone is completely useless. I have lost complete faith in sony ericsson

I absolutely loved this phone when i got ut I think the battery life is great I love the walkman because I love to sing in the car I think the headphones are great because they actually stay in your ear unlike other headphones, but as far as manufacture quality this is the worst phone I have ever had I have only had it for 4 months and the screen won't workand i'm noy talking about me being klumsy and dropping the phone (which i have done about 3 times but screens chould be able to withstand that) because its not a cracked or smashed screen because it is a slide phone a ribbon connect the screen to the phone body and it appears that ribbon has snapped and considering i have only had it for 4 months shows the low quality of manufacturing so as you can imagine i am pretty angry as i cannot get it fixed for free because it is a contract phone and at the time i could not afford insurance and i didn'y even think i would need it because my last phone was a sony ericson k5 10i which i had for years and i never once had a problem with it

I've just got my blue W595, and have spent nearly 2 hrs trying to get the back off! Managed it now, but thought it was going to break in the process! Why are there no clear instructions on how to do this? The little leaflet inside the phone just has a few arrows that dont help at all!! Anyway, after that big moan, the rest of it seems good. Will have to comment again when i've used it for a while.

ive just got the sony ericsson w595 in pink and i think its fab! Its the best phone eva!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love the walkman on it i had the old version of this phone its way improved and its really easy to use. it has some brilliant fetures such as a brilliant camera great walkman. The internet is really good on it and i do recomend this phone. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phone broke after one week - the slide feature slides so well (read the bloody thing is broken!) that it just opens and closes all by itself therefore disconnecting calls and all sorts - it's now going in for repair and I hope I'll never see it again. This is shocking quality!

umm i feel that this phone is great compared to my old phone w580i. This phone has great features even though it is kind of complicated. The design is really cool. I love the cosmopolitan white most and the jungle grey. But eventually i bought the jungle grey. My friends all admired my phone. Now almost everyone bought this phone. It is popular in my school now. Even my teachers are now using too. I wish there will be more phones that is like w595 in the following years.But can the phone be not so complicated?

I have Sony Ericsson W595 Black. Its a very good phone. Music Quality is Superb,Outstanding,EXCELLENT (better than Nokia's ANY Phone). Headphones provided are superb. Display is Very Very good,sharp and clear. Firmware is free of bugs and is easy-to-use. Keypad is also very good and all the keys have their own feel and give a very good feedback. Slider action is SO smooth and Rigid that it feels strong in hands. Speakers are truly LOUD and clear (though lacking Bass). Upper speaker has trebble and lower one has Treble + Little Bass (the lower one is louder). Camera is 3.2 MP and is SIMPLY OUTSTANDING (ones like Cybershot), though lacking autofocus. According to me,the phone is great,price may be a issue for a few BUT mind it,ITS WORTH THE PRICE and also the service o sony ericsson is very good unlike Nokia.

To Emmie, the squeak in the keypad will go away after a while, mine squeaked but after use for a while it goes. had the w910i and then it kept restarting and vodafone couldn't repair it so they upgraded me amazing phone could do with autofocus or flash but not that bothered :)

Vicky i got this phone in may and today was working fine i sent a text then it turned itself off. i can get it back on but when i press normal mode it goes pass that screen and freezes saying "searching" it then continues to just make the vibrate noise like when you turn it on. i cant turn the phone off to do this i have to remove the battery. is soo frustrating. overall phone has been good up until now.

i got this phone on contract in june its now halfway through july and i turned it off in the car now it wont turn back on!!!! i dont know wat has happened as nothing happens when i plug the charger in. when i take the battery out and put it back in and try to turn it on the keys light up for a few seconds then it is dead. does anyone know wat is wrong or how to fix it? it was a very good mobile up untill this point.

Excellent phone, had been using it for two months before it fell and the screen cracked! I have been broke for a while so I havn't managed to get the screen fixed for 3 months now! I finally am about to get it fixed, can't wait to use it again! I MISS IT!!! :'( Just need to get 8GB of memory on the phone then the 2 GB! It's not enough for a power user like me!!!!

I have had this phone for 4 months and it has already started breaking. It turns itself off a lot in the middle of phone calls, text messages or even when it is just sitting idle. It also freezes a lot aswell,now the space button has stopped working. Which definitely means it is impossible to use. I am sending it back to Sony Ericsson at the minute and hoping to get it fixed. Although apart from this the phone is very good, I love all the other features. I am quite disappointed that there is no flash on the camera. But I am really hoping that the phone can be fixed very quickly and will work properly as I do quite like it.

i have a new contract with 3 and have a new w595,i recently sent back the w595 because after 2 days use the screen went blank,no damage to the phone,i recieved a replacement phone,another w595.after 5 weeks use,i noticed a thin line appear on the screen.i notified 3 and while i was reporting the line on the screen to 3's technical service the screen went blank again.i noticed that if the slide was pushed by thumb on one side,the picture would come back again. i took it to carphone warehouse under direction of 3.the assistant thought the screen was cracked until i pushed the slide up and pressed my thumb to one side of the screen,and the picture returned and the lines disappeared.therefore i think there is a technical fault with the slide on the w595.i will be sending the phone to 3 for repair and will report the outcome when i recieve the phone and report of fault.

had this for just over 4 months now! i love it soooo much! cameras fab even though there is no flash,it is an exellent camera!!! music player is great! my battery last for 8 days!!!!!!! and i was using it a good bit!! take the back off slowly and its simple! polish the shiny bits and it looks as good as new! texting is easy because the window comes up. the 4 games are really good if you like that kinda thing and the memory is brill! i would recommend it to anyone, and you dont need an ipod if you have this phone and then if you can,get the speakers! they're gawjus!

Was gonna get this phone for my birthday but i changed my mind and got the lg cookie instead but after about 3 months of having it it broke so i got this one to replace my other one :) i am so glad i got it perfect for the things i want as im 13 , easy to use and had no problems with it yet the only thing is that the number 1 button is slightly brighter than the others but thats nothing and the battery life isn't as long as my others but long enough to get at leas 3 or 4 days out if it x i would definitely recommend this phone!!!!!!!!!!

I just got this phone and previously had the k800i. Loving the phone but it needs a flash for the camera. It was easy to put music on it sepecially since I'm not that good with all things tecnological and the sound that comes from the built in speakers is great. The k800i was a great phone that I was in love with but this phone may become my bit on the side!

i like the look of this mobile phone, but dont let that decieve you.. i am on my second now.. and guess what...its broken again..and everytime it breaks i loose ALL of my numbers. also the network coverage is RUBBISH.it constantly turns itself off and on again and confuses its self, it often tells me i havnt got a sony ericsson battery and to insert my already inserted sim. i dont reccomend this to anybody that relys on their mobile!if there was a zero rating thats what i would give it.. but as there isnt 1 star will have to do.

GREAT walkman phone but the 3 problems are= 1. u cant zoom in and out on the camera when in 3mp mode, have to switch to VGA. 2. when listening to the walkman you cant change or mess around with the equaliser and u can only do it when speakers are plugged in 3. when you plug in speakers you can do the equaliser but u cant out the volume down!!!! but the phone rocksss

i found it really easy to use, and as already said difficult to take the back off. I have the design with flowers, it's a lovely design and just gives that extra bit of class :) i've had previous sony' phones and i must say that W850i was the best, although i find this phone doesn't break easily i've dropped it so many times on hard surfaces by accident. It's at a really cheap price aswell, so i'd completely reccommend to buy, also texting is really fast and easy although when you're listening to music and texting it does go abit slower. I must also disagree that number "1" is not brighter than the other keys, as i've checked and found that "4" was actually the brightest, oh well i find it really good and fast to use

Features are great, why the phone doesn't default to disconnect when you slide it shut is a bad feature for those that don't like to hunt around to customise the features. Worryingly, after only four days a crack appeared on the middle left hand side of the screen, just like one on a car windscreen - is this a known fault?

ive had this phone for 6 months now and it is a great phone for music and fun applications and video dj ect , i am slightly dissapointed though because it ocassional switches itself off and on again also my volume button on the side has broken. i would definitely recommend this phone as it has a decent 3.2 meg camera and comes with a 2gb memory card which is great for storing music also look at it on 3 becaus eu get skype and msn for free which is great

This is a phone thats almost perfect it has good games,good,themes,good internet and good sound. The only problem is that it's a bit exspensive for what it is at 159.99 euros but if you need a new phone and don't like the silver and gold on the W705, then this is the phone for you

Bought this phone 6 weeks ago from Carphone warehouse, after having it with no problems it started cutting out when i was in mid conversation, but showing that the other person was still on the line, took it back to the shop and they replaced it and now its started to happen again. Has anyone else had this problem? Must say im not impressed at all.

I have only had the phone for 2 weeks and i love it. I have it in grey/black and red. Its a super smooth slider. I really wanted it in white but white is rare. It does not scratch easily and is stylish phone. It is very very very similar to the W580i, W910i so if your upgrading then there isnt really much of a point even though it is slightly better. The 1st day i had it it was qiute slow til the 4th day about then it got to normal. Price arond: �145.00

I had the w580i, then i bought the w350i and then the w380i, and i had problemz with all of those. The w580i charger port and keyz kept breaking, and the charger port broke on the other two azwell, but this phone, the w595, i think iz really similar to the w580i, but the slider, camera, and music are so much better. And no problems with this phone yet. By far my favorite sony ericsson to date... Although i think they should make a flash mandatory in all their phonez. I alwayz overlook the flash then kick myself later. All round a brilliant phone though... A must have!

The last three walkman phones i bought, broke within a couple of months. Had no problemz with this phone, though it is incredibly similar looking to the w580i, though, this phone iz far better. A must have for all die hard walkman phone fans!

this is the WORST fone ever. after 2 weeks i had to bring ti back cos it wouldnt let me ring or text anyone or receive calls or texts also the charger wouldnt work with it!. i got a new one and now this one also has to go back, the screen is very very dark and you can only see bits of it..not possible to use!..not happy

My phone is rubbish. It needs charging every day, even when I have only made about 1.5 hours of phone calls. The back is so flimsy that I worry about taking it off! A pity you cannot use the radio and charger at the same time. It is has been used for 1 month and is going back.

the only thing im finding wrong with it is that it has no manual with it, and it doesn't save your texts on memory card well it does but when you delete them you delete it all off memory and phone as ppl send me jokes and just can't save the walkman is bril im hard of hearing so i have it full blast and its great full bass and everything the cameras fine for me but i find the videoing a little diff as its to big to sent so you have to cut it but once you get the hang of it i suppose it will b fine i can't understand why a fone would have no manual i use it more for the walkman as i love music

I got this phone for christmas and I've had no problems with it. Visibly it's a really neat looking phone, I've got it in Blue and I like it because it looks different from the usually black and silver phones you get. It's really easy to figure out as well and the screen is really good and bright. The cameras a good quality and the photoDJ app lets you makes your photos bright or darker which is kind of like Paint Shop Pro in portable, also has a nifty panaramic function which lets you take a wide photo. The music also sounds flawless. Only fauly would be lack of zoom and flash on the camera, but since I don't take a lot of pictures, that's irrelevant to me :D

I got this phone about a month ago, and I love it!! I got it from the Carphonewarhouse. I got it in the Floral Pattern which came with a memory stick a phone charm and a phone sock (the phone charm and sock only come with the floral pattern, and i think u can only get the charm and sock to come with it if u get it from the Carphonewarehouse) I love this phone and haven't had any problems. the camera is great and so is the sound. I haven't dropped it or scratched it because i keep it in a phone sock. i do know there's no flash, but you dont really need a flash unless you are the sort of person who takes pictures at night time!!! i do reccommend this phone to anyone. its not just for girls, it can be for boys too!! overall i give it five stars *****

Ok so everyone thinks this phone is amazing and maybe it is but I have had nothing but problems with mine! I couldn't get it to turn on and then when it did it froze most of the time. Eventually when I got in to the phone I wasn't impressed either, I found the menu to be very slow and texting was fiddily. So unimpressed by this phone I took it back and got a full money refund.

Had this phone 3 months and i have had to send it back twice already!! this was for software problems and broken key pads, which is why It does'nt seem as reliable as my old phone, but the functions are good it is just the reliablity which has been a problem

After my Sony Ericsson k750i I wanted a phone with a decent camera below 200 euros. I thought this was a good one. The pictures I've been taken are not outstanding, but are ok. I think you just need a real steady hand to make your pictures not blurry. Two things that irritate me (one of them just recently): 1. The backlight of the keypad isn't everywhere even bright and it's annoying. I send it back to the store, but there they said nothing was wrong (after repairs!). 2. The whole thing is very wobbly after a while... The inside is great, the outside could be better

Mine broke after a week. The display stopped working and I don't know who's calling. And to save money, they didn't include a headphone jack. The power socket doubles as a headphones jack, but through an adapter. More junk that I have to carry round. Back to the shop for a Nokia.

Look elsewhere!! I've gone through THREE of these handsets in three months, the "bugs" present in the w910i are still there - constantly freezes, switches off (often mid-conversation!!), fails to turn on, and it's not possible to back up all the data on the unit (which is a fantastic thing when you do encounter a problem and the phone needs to be re-flashed!!!). The latest handset has gone to repairers THREE TIMES, and each time the issue comes back worse and worse. Check your screens closely for failing pixels too - two of the three handsets i had, as well as two of my other friends handsets had at least one pixel that was partially failing (could not display black, only blue). Anything is better than this phone.

Hi This s Neil from India..Got this phone last week.Phone is beautifully design but the back side cover is ridiculous , please open it very carefully as it may damaged immediately. The sound quality s awesome as the others feautures.But the piece operates very slowly as compared to others phone as I have 4 gb card on it. Good phone except the back cover & its slow processing.

A W595 on 3Mobile, my network for the past 3 years. I'm a middle aged male and my review is in that light!! As a Sony Er. user before the 595 (Z610i and I would have had the Z750i as my upgrade if it had been available) I found the user interface easy to follow and understand though, naturally, with a new phone it takes some time to fully explore the device. This is my first slide phone and I'm really impressed so far. The auto lock is great but it was the one thing that put me off sliders: I'd always had visions of thinking I'd locked the keys, only to find I'd managed to call the police or something by putting it in my pocket!! You simply select auto lock on, and the phone locks the keys when you slider the slider down. Beware, though! It seems that the phone takes varying lengths of time to activate the lock depending on what screen is in view. As far as I can tell atm, the welcome screen will instantly lock when the slider is activated, whilst other screens seem to take longer. By not returning to the welcome screen when you've finished with the phone, it would be possible to activate / dial numbers when dropping the phone into your pocket / handbag. It's worth noting that users may have to go to the Sony Er. website to check how to do many of the functions on the phone because the box only contains an overview sheet detailing basic phone operations (tho there may be a user manual on the CD: I've not checked yet). Either way, without a computer, folk will struggle to use the features. The screen is bright and clear and the buttons are positive and easy to operate. Txting is definitely slower than on the Z610i because it seems to take longer for the phone to recognise / process keystrokes. This is a bit of a pain cos I was pretty nippy on the old phone. However, no real worries! One thing that has impressed me is the audio quality. It's outstanding compared with the Z610i. Crystal clear and perfectly articulate. Great. I probably won't use the Walkman features at all, neither will I use the camera very much. It's 3.2MPixels shows a clear improvement on the Z610i, though. There are some preloaded games and I'll use those cos I like to do games om my phone. Overall? So far, I think it's great and there's nothing to bad-mark it for. I definitely use my phone as a phone / txt tool and, games, excepted, the other features will probably be wasted om me. Comments have been made about the W595 looking a bit 'pedestrian' and not quite up to the standards required when phoens are fashion accessories, too. Maybe, maybe not. But the W595 appears to be a great communications tool.

It is an outstanding phone. The music display tilts only after a small time lag but this keeps it from readjusting itself whenever we move the phone. The motion sensor is highly responsive. Just try the NFS prostreet on it and you'l see for yourself! The display complements the phone and the music player has good stereo and great performance. The loudness factor is lagging. Great for texting and good for show. It is truly an awsome phone. look nowhere else man!!!! awsome!!

bought this fone about 3 months ago on contract, yesterday when i was listening it the screen went all dark and wouldent react if you pressed any buttons, i removed the battery and put it back in the keys on the bottom half of the phone lit up but the screen w=didnt hve any reaction. i left it a few hours then later when i looked at it the phone had lost ll power and wont even charge. thisis very nnoying considering i still have 15 months left on the contract, and i now have to send it off and ill be paying �20 for nothing seeing as i have to give my fone up for a month for it to be fixed! very annoying, i sujest you do NOT buy this phone, or buy gaurentee if our buying it on contract!!!!!

Awesome phone. Loved every feature! the camera gets a bit of attention here and on other forums but i find that, for a relatively low cost phone, it still gives good quality. a note to all the reviewers who insist on typing the entire post in capital letters and replacing the letter 's' with a 'z' - please don't. If for nothing else but my sanity. I have read too many reviews featuring this form of type.

I bought this phone on a SIM contract, �25 a month for unlimited texts and 1000 mins, which isn't bad. The slide broke on it on the first day of having it, then it didn't respond, and I had to pay �70 to get it repaired! Compared to my last phone, the W850i, which I had for nearly two years without a scratch, this phone is comparitively flimsy. But excusing that I absolutely love the phone, I love all the features and the sounds amazing. It's a bit bulky, but I'm still going to give it 5 stars because I love it and it's definitely worth getting :] I have it in Jungle Grey.

what i found that this is an Excellent phone. with brilliant Walkman 3.0 Software! the screen is bright and clear. Battery is pretty reliable. Camera is a let down. would be brilliant with a Flash. I Found that the battery cover is crap. with crappy plastic clips, that broke off 2 months after i got it. the silver lines around the phone are cheap and cheesy, with it only being silver plastic coated, that chips off easily. once you get past the exterior you'll find that this is an amazinggggg phone! :) i am in love with the music player. but the phone comes with the crappy plastic earphones that dont fit my ears. so i got past that, Buying SKULLCANDY INK'D Headphones, that work BRILLIANTLY. the phone overall is a good phone. i just wish it had a camera button on the side for easy acess to the camera. :) but HEY we cant haave everything.

I got this phone for my birthday,, i got it in Jungle grey. i previously had a smsung J700 and have never had a SE phone before but now i got it im never going back to samsung. The fetures are great, the walkman player and the track ID are great, comapered to my samsung this phone comes out on top by far its much lighter and it has a really good camera considering its only a 3.2megapixel its pretty good. This is a must have phone and theres nothing wrong with it at all. Anf i see alot of people have had the brighter one key problem so do i and i was wondering can you fix it or is it not worth going to the hassle? This is the best phone i've EVER had. It maybe be quite expensive put 100% its worth every penny.

just got this phone yesterday for 179 euros. mine is colour blue... my only problew with dis phone is there is no camera flash, number 1 button is brighter than the others (dont really mind), buttons r quite stiff and the battery cover is really hard to remove so just be careful with it coz it might break ... other than that phone is really good.... ^_^

Not good! I'm a product designer myself, and very disappointed. I hate this phone. The slide mechanism feels cheap and has play in it. Pressing buttons 1,2 and 3 is hard because the top part of the phone is in the way. Battery cover broke a bit. Its slow, applications and menus pause and judder. The screen has a flicker. PC Suite doesn't work with Mac, so transferring stuff is a load of effort. Camera is average like ALL phone cameras. I have the blue one and the chrome edges look tacky. Battery doesn't last very long. The shake to change track/volume is completely pointless. The preset button shortcuts are annoying - I want phone book to be 'down' not 'right'! I'm changing it for a Nokia 6500.

A great phone they say. And it looks it. It really does. Shame its faulted. The camera is far inferior to the one on my Nokia 5310 XpressMusic for a start. And there was an unusual software error when the phone slid closed where it DIDNT lock. In doing that, it ended up calling a friend of mine in the middle of school for AN HOUR, wasting 60 minutes of my 100 minute plan.

I have had the SE W595 for 2 months now and I think that it is a great phone, I like the design and think that it is a really good looking phone. I have had the same troubles as a few people with the number 1, 4 & 7 keys being brighter than the rest but apart from that I have no problems with it. I dont really use the walkman feature as I have an ipod but when I do the sound is great. Amazing phone!!!

The walkman music player is excellent, as it has fantastic sound quality. The camera is good in the right light, but it really needs a flash. The battery life is very good, but the battery cover is really hard to remove, and feels very fragile. Also the headphones that come with it are worth about 10p - they're very uncomfortable and produce a very tinny sound.

Great phone! The walkman music player has excellent sound quality and the shortcut button is very handy. Camera is good when the light is good, but a flash would be nice. The screen quality is excellent and it has a much more user friendly interface than older models. The battery life is also good. However the battery cover is very hard to remove and feels very fragile. Also the headphones that come with it are cheap and nasty, they're uncomfortable and the sound is appauling.

i waited a month and a halp so i could get this phine in pink... glad i waited.. but one thing what bugs me... it always appears 2 be connecting to the internet, has the little earth at the top...i dunno if its connecting or not..but its really freakin me out cos i think when my bill comes through it may be loads..any1 no whats going on?

I have been looking for a new phone for quite a while now. I have chosen to get a sony walkman because most of my family have them and they all seem very good. I have been stuck choosing the w910i or this phone. My friend has this phone in pink and white and it seems great, she loves it! She says the camera is great, the music is fantastic and it is very stylish. I couldn't agree more. I have decided to buy this phone over the w910i because it gets much better reveiws and now reading about the 'firmwire' i feel much better that it will not do all of the things that the w910i has been seen to do! this phone is fantastic !!!

I got this phone for chrismas and it is amazing. It has everything you need on a phone and it is very easy to work.The battery life is around 5 days with reasonable use.The best point of this phone is the extremly good speaker.The only problem with this phone is that there is no flash on the camera.

My search for a music phone eneded when i found this superb music player. The controls are easy to use and all things considered its a top notch phone. It has switched itself off a few times but so what? The battery life is nothing to be worried about..if it runs down - charge it up again..cmon people - lighten up! I have the blue version which looks smart. Lightweight and compact. Perfect.

Had this phone for a week now, my 3rd Sony Ericsson following on from the original walkman phone (w800) and the poor w850. I was after a 3g phone and bought this one on Orange pay as you go. IT IS EXCELLENT!!! The battery cover is no big deal I dont know what people are banging on about, unless your stupid it's straight forward. The shake control is a bit of a gimmick but you can also increase the volume by tilting your wrist up which is cool. The auto tilt is great for viewing pictures/internet/videos, if you turn the phone from portrait to landscape the screen changes too! One thing I wasn't expecting was to be able to watch tv on it. What an excellent feature. I've been watching sky sports on it all day it was amazing. Ok, your watching it on a small screen but Orange charge �5 for a month of sky sports 1, 2, 3 and sky sports news, plus others like at the races, sky news etc. You can sign up for loads of channels like bbc, itv, setanta etc etc. One thing I'm not sure about is the camera(?) on the front of the phone, even the guy I rang at Orange didn't know. I've read somewhere it might be a light sensor??? would be pleased if someone can let me know? All in all, excellent, affordable handset (�130 ish on pay as you go)

Got this phone today, seems like a great phone.. Only flaw i can think of is the #1 key being brightest... loudspeaker is nice, It seems a bit louder than nokia 6300.. overall a great phone to buy for music lovers who don't care realli much about the camera (nt tht it's bad or anyfing) the camera is pretty decent for a walkman phone..Anyway , hope this helps CHEERIO!!!

Only one criticism of this phone - you can't manually lock the keypad, without opening and closing the slide. Otherwise great. For anyone having trouble with Walk Mate - silly question but have you tried walking with it switched on? I found it only worked when I put it in my pocket and actually walked, and then it seemed to be very accurate. You can't fool it by tapping it or shaking it - it only responds to real walking movement.

i purchased this phone last week and as it stands, i worship it. brilliant graphics, sound quality and a wide range of features. cool themes such as splatta and comes with a 2gb memory card. it has a smooth sliding mechanism and doesn't feel uncomfortable in the hand. i thought all the small buttons on the front of the phone would be difficult to use, but as i've already had a sony ericsson they aren't bad at all. it's a very, very, very stylish phone; great look and comes in many different colours. however, looking through the dizzying splendour of the phone, the camera is a letdown. it lacks autofocus and flash and it's very blurry. apart from that it's terribly good. if it didn't have the minor camera fault this phone would've been nothing short of perfect. i'm currently on PAYG on orange and am very happy with this phone indeed. one happy customer! :)

i bought one in dec as my birthdaypresent from my mom to me but the screen wont show anything but that is because i got a piece of plastic inside it when both the plastic and the fone was in my pocket but besides that its a perfect phone

I got this phone for christmas in white , its really good i love it !! but it will freeze for 3 seconds then turn itself off but the lights will stay on , apart from that love it

I Looove this phone, I'm 15 and i think it has everything i need in a phone i got it a month ago and its goin on quite fine, i listen to music for houres per day and only charge it twice a week and its not even empty by then. i had the w300 before this, it lived for about a year and half before the screen went white,i love the themes and the motion sensor, I can't imagine a 40-year-old using it. lol. its very teenagerish but i feel all the SE phones lately are sorta made for the younger crowd.

just recently upgraded from a k850i that was amaxing and no ive had this phone nearlly 2 weeks i think its amazing although a little flimsy. also the back is hard to remove but being gentle solves the problem. the walkman is good and is set up ideal for the music lovers the camera is great for a music phone too, but lacks a flash. over all i think this phone is amazing would recomend to anyone who is a fan of sony ericsson 5 *****

It is not apparently compatible with my nav man sat nav which has capacity to act as a hands free speaker. My nokia works with it. My 2 ancient sonys work with it but not the w595. Dont dee the point of blue tooth if devices are not compatible.

I got the new sony w595 last week and so far so good, the only complaint i have is that the keys are maybe a bit to close together so i keep conecting to the internet even when i don't want to.

AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG!! I LOVE THIS PHONE... HAD IT MORE THAN A MONTH AND NO PROBLEMS....!! all those ppl who say that it gave problems probably lied... cause this phone is simply amazing.. i love the shae control.. and the camera isn't all that but it's a phone... not a digital camera so give it a break.. i would recommend for someone to buy this.. I LOVE IT! sony ericsson is just the best ever!

i had to get this phone as my last one the w810i which i thought was excellent died on me, so how does this one compare to the w810i? well the most obvious being its a slide phone whereas the w810i is candy bar shaped so the w595 right away has a bigger screen. the keypad takes some getting used to as its flat rather than buttons that stick out so big people with big hands may find this tricky, saying that though mine are far from small and i manage fine. the music system is great and is a nice upgrade over my old system on the w810i, the earphones are still kinda rubbish (well to me) but a half decent pair can be had for a few quid. memory is bigger to with a 2gb memory card that came with it compared to the 512mb i got with the w810i. camera although its bigger than my old phone at 3.2 pixels compared to 2.0 pixels, its not something im that bothered with if i want to take photos i use a proper camera, or if its that important to you on a phone then get one of the older k series phones or the newer c series. battery life seems about the same as my old one i use it quite often for texts phone calls etc and it more than does the job. customization well both phones have this in spades but the w595 has just abit more with the ability to choose how large you want the clock on screen to the way the icons are displayed on the main menu. build quality well its about the same as my old phone the slide feels solid enough and the buttons give a nice click feel as you press them, the back panel that covers the battery and the sim does feel flimsy but how often do you need to get at them? could have done with being a slide off back i think. overall ive had no probs with it and think its a great successor to the w810i well for me anyhow. i suppose one downside is weight its quite heavy, but that is being abit picky, if you can overlook the weight (and it isnt hard) this a great phone

Got this phone a few days ago and I love it! Cant find a fault with it! Really cheap as well, �20 per month contract on Orange's dolphin 25 if you do it online you get 400 mins and unlimited texts, and the phone is free! Fab!

I read a comment here about the #1 key being brighter than the other. I also checked my unit and it's also the same. Is it a defect? or just really meant to be like that? This is my first SE phone. So far, I think its great. About the camera, I think this phone is on Walkman category so we cannot expect that it's very good because it's not cybershot. I also love the design compare to other nokia phones. It's very sleek and sophisticated but simple.

I got this phone yesterday on pay as you go for �120 - and its amazing. The features arent exactly a huge update from its previous models, but the sound quality is amazing (the best sound quality i've ever heard on a phone - and this is my 3rd sony erricson). The texting is easy with a decent keypad for once - unlike my old w580i. The talk volume is amazing - people can hear me really well and i can hear them - UNLIKE my old w580i. It even has good games - what more could you ask for in a phone? only draw back is the fact it dont have wifi - and im abit concerned about the battery as it seems to be draining really fast

I have just recently got the Sony Ericsson W595 on contract, free on Vodafone with 200 minutes and unlimited texts for �15 per month. Overall the phone is great, with an outstanding Walkman system as with all good SE phones and a good camera and video quality. The menus are also very easy to navigate and texts are easy to write too. However, the camera doesn't have a flash feature and the back cover is a bit difficult to remove/replace as it is a bit plasticky and flimsy, but hopefully it won't have to be used that much. Overall I'm happy with the phone, it's not to heavy and it looks great. Would definetely recommend.

tis is an awesome phone .. i love it very much .. the only thing i m not satisfied is that the battery life is so short .. its like i charged it and the next day it used up half of it .. i hardly use it to listen to musics .. sometimes it juz get so frusfrating .. besides tis .. i think its a fantastic phone .. the functions .. camera .. musics .. sms .. they are juz fine .. =]

got dis phone as ma dad's gift...m glad i did!!...its so much satisfying actually...newaz i giv 6/5.. things to ctake care of while u buy- 1)- Check its keys properly...i noticed ma 1st set was having kindda scratchy sound wid its navigations...do check all keys properly!!.... 2)- check if its slider ain't loose enough!! 3)- b careful wid its battery cover...its quite fragile..n few got it broken while opening...thats the only drawbak...try not to change its sim often if possible!! 4)- if u chk ot the keypad, u ll notice the key #1 is little more brighter than othr keys!!...don worry all sets r so....i got it chkd...its common...n b/w its bou its design... all in all nothin to worry bou!!...n purely coustomer satisfying...worth money too wid its all latest features...must try!!...lol :-) HAve a nic tim...W595 ROCKS!!
