The phone has a problem that is the keys spoils easily and mine is facing the same problem that is the back key ,the select keys do not work.But no problem i still like the phone cos of features. Rating: Reviewed by lauren. on 03/03/2010 i got this phone and thought it was amazing then the flap came off + all the orange beadin, my keypad came unstuck and i had to stick it back on with sellotape, all the black covering came off and when i went on holiday i went to charge it after being out all day + it wouldnt charge, it lit up n that was it. and the dissapointment when buyin it was that it had no video camera. my mates got the same phone and her bit that you hear peoples voices on the fone fell out so she can only talk to them on loud speaker. DONT BUY! Rating: Reviewed by ? on 25/02/2010 The Sony Ericsson W350i is a great slim, sleek phone with brilliant music capabilities via an integrated walkman system with a decent loudspeaker. It is probably the best looking phone I have ever seen despite the oldness. I've read other reviews and viewed quotes saying that the flap is flimsy and can break easily; it doesn't!! You just have to be careful and delicate, not wrench it open. Trust me, it's an absolutely brilliant phone, but the camera is the only downside, but it's a walkman, the camera isn't really it's highest priority. I recommend it. Rating: Reviewed by Finlay on 22/02/2010 First of all, i reckon that this phone is extremely attractive, good with music and applications and is really handy for the flip pad only covering the keys, however, the phones main disadvantage is the camera, which is very poor quality and doesn't have a recording function on it. Also, the flip pad is very weak as there is a small purple clog on the left hand side that unlocks the phone and locks it. This puts a lot of stress in the one side and will coz it to snap off eventually after maybe 5 months or less! You can buy a replacement online but at some ridiculous prices but i'd say this was a short term phone. Until, after 11 monthsa of having it, I caught the flip on my coat as I leant over a table and it snapped off. I managed to reattach although one side was badly cracked but answering a call a few days later and the whole thing snapped off. Not cool. Lack of a video camera isn't good, and lack of a light is pretty disappointing too. But the quality of the MP3 player is awesome and the size of the buttons is pleasingly comfortable. It is a good phone nothing amazing very basic but for the price that is what you should expect.After having the phone for about 5 months the flap on the front fell off and because you can`t lock it without the flap it starts doing things like phoning people,playing music,turning on and off when it wants. Been ok, until it started to turn itself off randomly a few weeks ago. When that happens the only way it will turn back on is by plugging it into the charger and then pressing the ON button. Very annoying when you don't always have your charger - or a plug for that matter - near you. Rating: Reviewed by Ina on 07/12/2009 Had this phone for over half a year now and still feels like new (flip and springy buttons are just fine even after dropping it on the ground from waist height a couple of times). For those complaining about the camera and no video recording, this phone was not meant for these features in the first place, so you should have checked in advance what you were buying. This item is primarily an affordable Walkman that doubles as a phone - and it's very good at it too. The software can quickly convert music files to lower bitrates without obvious quality loss (let's face it, how many of you can actually spot the difference between 256 and 64 kbps in your headphones?) so it can fit more onto the memory card (which can also be replaced with up to 2 or maybe 4 gb but I haven't go to that yet). The 3.5 jack socket means you can plug in your favourite headphones. The accessible Walkman controls and iPod-like lock are great features. Camera is reasonable too if you need to take a snapshot of something. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. This phone is exactly what I wanted and expected it to be. And it's cute too. Im into photography and videos so when i found out there was no video and the camera was really bad quality it let me down a bag full. In my point of view a waste of money! But if you can deal with having no video and a bad quality camera then this phone is a good enough standard phone for you. Luckily for me the flap hasn't broke. So far, it's awesome, I love image and style over capabilities every time, and this has that, rings when people call me, receives texts and takes seeable pictures if necessary, BUT looks lush! Really tactile, great to hold and great little flip, gorgeous buttons that you KNOW you've pressed, easy to type messages, and you can customise it to the max with the usb cable and sd card slot! I'm bowled over with how good it is, brand new for 40 quid too! Loving it. Only slight thing that I'm sure I'll get over, is once closed, the standby screen turns into the mp3 player screen. Decent walkman player,came SIM free with some pretty good games on it, camera not brilliant- 1.3 no video :( but i only really use it to take pictures for my bebo and facebook profiles so does that well. Overall pretty good phone replaced my samsung E900 after it had an accident with a washing machine. Recomend you do not buy this phone. hopefully i will get the sony ericsson W595 and that will work alot better and i will not have to go to the phone shop constantly to get it repaired!!! Rating: Reviewed by David on 11/06/2009 I bought this phone from tesco Uk, originally as a spare because i am an electrician and phones get broken easily, i always usually buy the £20 Nokias for work so my main phone doesnt get damaged. Saw this in tesco and purchased one mainly as a work phone with a few extra features. to my surprise this turned out to be an excellent little phone, Packed with features, the walkan keys are excellent. Dont use the camera as its for work, but its ok if you want to snap a quick pic. Good signal strenth in areas, loud music player, alot of features. People that break flips must happen if it hits the mechanism on the corners as mine is fine. Would reccomend this as a good budget phone or purchasing this instead of an ipod etc, as you can access the music player through the front keys. The outer layer of plasicy stuff is very flakey and chiped off, the screen is scratched easily ,the flap is very weak , the back is hard to get of ,when i try to get the back off it feels like it is going to snap and the layer of plasticy stuff is chipped by my nails), the worst thing about the phone the lock on it just broke overnight. I look after my phones very well. Every time i close the phone it does not lock and when it does it is in a random ocaision like when im talking to someone the phone, lisening to music or randomly in my pocket. The camera is also rubbish and cant record videos and the music is not very loud. I do not recomend this phone to anyone else as it is a big mistake. On the other hand 1)It has the Walkman 2 player which is awesome and the Audio QUALITY is impeccable. 2)Camera being 1.3 is still very good and captures good photos in good light conditions. 3)Nice flip-design. 4)The socket is on the side rather than in the bottom. 5)Keypad is very easy to use. 6)The Phone is very user friendly i.e. handling a call is very easy and the other features are also good. Pros: 1)Walkman 2 player-which gives crystal clear slound 2)1.3 Megapixel camera which gives high quality images(No video Recording though). 3)Display s very good 4)Flip Music control Buttons(actually they are small fake buttons which actually press the inner keypad to operate the walkman player). 5)Very Good battery life as compared to colour-display phones(3-3.5 days) 6)Very nice generous sized keypad(good for text messaging) 7)Keypad lock on the top of the phone. Cons: 1)Flimsy flip. 2)Very Slow data transfer(you'll get you to know when you buy one(go for it though)). 3)Sony Cheap Headsets. 4)Low Loudspeaker. 5)No Stereo Widening effect in walkman player. 6)You cannot change the equalizer setting(i.e.you cannot set it manually as in other sony ericsson phones).
