An excellent general phone. Had it for over a year without fault. The phone book is outstanding, allowing multiple numbers per contact (work, mobile etc)and offers some of the best phonebook features of any other brand. Also notably easy to turn phone to/from silent mode and vibration alert is very quiet compared to the motorola phones louder buzz. The sonyEricson menu system is very easy to navigate. PC sync is easy and the suplied software works a treat. Bluetooth and infared works well with my PC too. No camera, but the strength in this phone is in other areas. Small, lightweight with excellent phonebook and sms management features, Can record your own sounds, compose own ringtones and draw your own pictures as well as import pictures via your PC or another phone. Ok, SE produce higher spec phones, but at a price. Can't fault this Phone for what is it.

I've owned this phone for 3 years now, first couple of months on Vodafone and the remaining time on Orange (bought as SIM-free handset only). Overall, I've found it to be an excellent little beast - I take care of my property (the saleswoman at phones4U this afternoon couldn't believe that this was a 3 year old phone...) but of course it's had its share of mishaps, dropped several times including once in the birdbath, and it survived everything. Good points: Small and lightweight. Astounding battery life (I've had a full 14 days standby from this! - typically 7-9 days if you actually use it...). Easy to operate once you learn its quirks. Decent call quality. Did I mention the battery life? Bad points: Rather dated now. GPRS access through PDA/Bluetooth chronically slow. Menus can get sluggish as the memory fills up - solution: clear out the pictures and recordings etc., makes it fly! This is probably not the most robust phone around, so if you want a phone to use as a football, or like to tap out your texts using a lumphammer then avoid this one. I'm now reluctantly upgrading to either a K700i or a Nokia 6230, haven't made a final decision. The reason is that the T68i's classic "no access" fault has finally caught up with my phone. Still, it's lasted longer than anything else I've ever owned and I've had my money's worth. By all means buy one - treat it carefully and it will reward you, thrash it and it'll die young.

This is the phone that is used as a bomb in the James Bond film Die Another Day, so that makes it a star in my books. :) It's a stylish, reliable phone that does everything that I need it to do. Bluetooth, Irda, gprs, laser attachment, torch attachment, MP3 attachment and it even controls a remote controlled car! Forget the latest phones that will be forgotten in a few months and get yourself a true classic.

I have had this phone since May 2002. This is a really excellent phone! What a mighty battery - the average standby time is 8,5 days (always ON). The maximum was more than 11 days! Some people complain about bad reception. But I don't agree. It has good reception. And I have been able to talk even when the reception holds 0-1 bars. I keep it carefully and after 2,5 years it still look like a new one. Also it has the best design I have ever seen about mobile phones.

I've had my T68i for nearly two years and I find it a good all-rounder, reliable and a great design. It fits the palm of your hand and isn't at all boxy, probably more of a girly phone though. To get the best out of it you have to set up the shortcut menus to put the most-used items in one list and go from there. It's probably not as robust as the clam-shell flip style phones but I've dropped mine out of my handbag once or twice with no damage. Recently I got water in it which made it go beserk for a few hours but was back to normal the next day. The drawbacks include poor display which makes pictures received very disappointing. Reception is first class, perhaps it depends on service, mine is O2. Possibly those used to the Nokia family may think the T68i is a bit fiddly but I have no problems texting or making calls and it looks great.

I have had the T68i for over a year now, the phone sticks quite a lot and you have to take the back off to move the sim card then put it back together again and then it will work again until the next time it happens, which it quite alot, the camera is crap, the photos you take just look very dark and you cant make out what they are. The texts on my phone have gone all funny it takes me ages to send one I have to go through loads of options before it will let me send a text. The games are rubish there all card games, I have a full battery one minuet then the next minuet it saying to it charge up, this has happened a few times where I would charge up the phone then it would lose all bars and need charged again. I am now getting the Samsung p510 which the reviews are alot better and it seem's a very nice phone.

Camera attachment is absolutely rubbish!! I got this phone about 18 months ago and it was quite new then and one of the first camera phones. I don't think any people actually go for this phone now as it is so out of date technology wise, only good thing I found about it was the amount of texts that it stores.

Have to agree with nearly everyone here - this is a terrible phone. Had it 6 months - Infrared now refuses to work, phone will only switch on when charging cable is inserted (despite a few new batteries). Reception awfull. 'No access' appears all the time. Loves to switch itself off for no reason (I was fortunate enough to catch it whilst resting on my desk do this). I need a reliable phone for my job and this isn't it ! I'm off to the shops to get something capable.

DON\'T GET THE SONY ERICSSON T68i I bought my t68i about 6 months ago.The first couple of weeks i thought great. About a month later the light fell out the corner snapped off and the cancel button broke. Now it is totally fallen to bits. This is a poor phone and i recommend it to nobody. My friend has one as well and after a couple of months his did the similar thing.

Well specified mobile phone for the price but now very dated and has a poor build quality. Cheap feel and an irritating \'clicky\' plastic navi-button adds dissatisfaction to the T68i\'s overall lack of refinement.

I\'ve had it for a year and had no problems whatsoever. The features are still as good as phones coming out today. Takes getting used to in navigating through tons of features but you also have shortcuts you can customise so its ok. I had no intention of changing but Sony Ericsson seem yto have done another good job with T610, Z600 and P900 from the reviews I have been reading. I will be getting one of those next. All phones have a downside but Sony Ericsson has the least!!! Buy this if you can get it for a good price or if you have the dosh, the newer Sony E.

not a bad phone. the colour background is great but makes the phone slow sometimes and causes it to crash. the big let down is that it hasnt got polyphonic ringtones and not many internet sites support this phone for mono ringtones. Although it does have bluetooth, not many people i know have this phone so i cannot use it with them. not worth the price but it has the looks.

The T68i is a very good phone but isn\'t without it\'s problems, like most phones. Occasionally the phone decides to freeze up, but I\'ve found this is usually because the battery is low, and the only way to unfreeze it is to remove the battery. My phone\'s lasted me a year and is still a worthy piece of kit. The voice recorder is excellent quality and the \'post-it\' notes are very handy. I would\'ve preferred polyphonic ringtones, but what can you do. I recommend buying the camera attachment even though quality ain\'t that great. Bluetooth and Infra-red are good, as is the phonebook, which has several numbers or e-mail adresses for each person, and the ability to add a picture to each entry, so the picture comes up when they call. One little niggle I would say has been most annoying is the fact that little bits of crap and dust get behind the screen and get stuck, a good bang ususally gets them out but not always. Overall a really good phone although feeling a little dated! now.

I\'ve had two on T-Mobile with terrible reception compared to my Verizon Moto V.60, a very good phone. Seems like with all the features you get, it\'s not a good \"phone\", which is the primary purpose. Also, the phone (on T-Mobile at least) won\'t connect about every fifth call, then the next attempt to the same number gives a fast beep sound. The third attempt works, but very annoying. Finally, it turns off at times, and also ends calls with the display reading \"Please Wait\". Only removing the battery clears it. I definately can\'t recommend this pbone- it\'s really stressed me out.

Dont buy it at all. It is quite possibly the most un- reliable phone ever. The ariel is so weak its either a good signal or a terrible, no middle ground at all. The chip is very slow and you get bored of waiting. The Signal is terrible it gives you your messages when it feels like. The only good feature is u grading to a nokia or getting our money back
