Reviewed by Giulio Moro on 26/08/2011 This is a great improvement over the P800 model. The housing was greatly improved and designed to withstand scratches and bumps, the blue colour hides any dents and dings from daily life, and the overal functionality sets it apart very easily from other handsets. The only flaw with this device is the rubber feet on the underside of the flip-down keypad that breaks the edges of the upper casing around the LCD display when closed and placed in a pocket. Too much pressure, and it's easy to see happen, and you've got 2 small holes at the sides of the display from the pressure. The other issue was no support for sony memory sticks above 256MB, what a shame. Otherwise a very solid product indeed. Rating:

Reviewed by Apy on 24-05-2005 i think the phone is a wonderful stuff its more like a mini computer so you ought to expect some flaws and you also have to be very careful in the way you carry it around cause if it falls down a couple of times it tends to have some problems, mine doesnt freeze and it syncs up well with my pc so i think its just ok for me though one of the rest on the flip got broken, its just the only flaw i think the phone has. Rating:
Reviewed by Jack on 19-03-2005 Well after many hours of research, I chose the p900 and when I received I thought this is the phone for me. Then I turned it on and everything changed! I spent 13 hours between my carrier and Sony trying to set it up with no luck. I solved the problem on my own though, I SOLD IT!!! I think the idea was good but the execution was terrible. Sony, go back to the drawing board and make a good product. Rating:

Reviewed by mylynda on 06-10-2004 Three words... "Dont do it". For those of you who have, and sounds like I have company in saying this, get prepared to deal with the worst customer service in the market place. The screen went defective after one month. The flip actually cracked the screen. After numerous frustrating calls with customer service, who seemed to know the phone was broken and twice leaked that it was backordered for repair, I sent it in for repair. They sent it back without fixing it "because the screen was damaged". NO DUH!. Only know nothing idiots are allowed to talk to you when you call. They say ignorant things like "If you can afford a $900 phone, you can afford to get it fixed". My only solace was being able to show people how raggedy the phone was, until the repair location broke it beyond all functioning and tried to tell me I sent it in that way. It goes on and on. Based on my experience with this I will buy no other Sony products. I don't care if they come out with the Sony P9000! Rating:
Reviewed by Alan Burgess on 29-12-2003 You want a review, you got it. I have always been a Panasonic mobile phone man, as they have been very reliable, and just what I needed, but I fancied an upgrade and saw the P900, and thought wow!!!. It had everything I wanted, a decent phone, a built in palmtop, digital camera, mp3 player and so on. Now I own a Sony CLIE, and thought it would be great if I could sell my CLIE and phone and have an all in one package, which is just what I did, and I have not been dissapointed. Plus points, superb phone, call quality, screen, blue led keypad, battery life, sounds, user friendlyness, mp3 player and so on. In fact the only downer to this phone, is the built in camera, I mean if they are going to build one in, make it decent quality, the picture quality is crap, and there`s no getting away from that fact. So if you want an all round smart phone, that does just about everything that includes a carry case and a set of headphones for the mp3 player, and looks well cool, then get this phone, you will not be dissapointed. And one last point, it`s not a Nokia Rating:
Reviewed by Rickesh on 18-12-2003 Ok ok there has been so much hype over this phone and I have to admit I loved it when i saw it in real life and was going to upgrade to it. But then i used it and it has to be said the OS is no match for Nokia (and iv used Nokia for a VERY long time), reguardless of the model...6600 looks a good deal. I had a quick play around with it and didn\'t really notice much difference (usability wise) with the P800, n damn it leaves a bulge in ur pocket and isn\'t more travel freindly than the outgoing p800, its just a little bit more compact really! It looks ok...right now I have a 8910i Nokia n im always finding that i have to clean the screen etc, with this one the problem is even worse because the screen get so dusty and greasy therefore your always literally cleaning it! Accessories, especielly the original ones are a rip off, and when comparing it to Nokia\'s it seems a bit heavy on the pocket for what it is! Really and truly i do think that P900 is a nice phone if you dont mind the size etc etc...But i do and i need a small travel freindly phone and the 6600 is an ACE phone, travel freindly, got evrything i need and its a NOKIA!!! Sony will neva match that...... Rating:
Reviewed by Mike on 03-12-2003 Well, this is THE combined PDA and cell phone. It has the works including camera, MP3, movie player, usable calendar, thrilling games, etc, etc. As a design freak, I personally liked the \"smooth\" P800 better but hey, metal/grey and a thinner outer is OK too. Others speak of large screens. The P900 has the largest and best 65k-screen around. With the \"pen\" it\'s a dream. But (there\'s always a but), the looks of the operating system could be overhauled after a few quick peeks at Nokias (7650/6600) which use an interface very like the Windows most modern people are used to today. Perhaps SonyEricsson is waiting to make use of Microsoft OS (?) But, as I said, the P900 has the works - and it works fine. Rating:
Reviewed by Devil's Refugee on 21-11-2003 This phone is not all it\'s cracked up to be. Yes, it may have killer functionality and applications, but only when they work or indeed if you have \"enough memory\" available, despite the included 32Mb memory stick. Installing V-Rally demo was a hassle in itself and failed to load on numerous occassions, only by switching the unit off and on would it load. Taking pictures is easy, however displaying them was a hit or miss affair if you don\'t have the memory available (which I did as I had not loaded the phone with anything intensive). Also, after spending a time using WAP and Internet services, none of the downloaded ringtones or wallpaper appeared. Don\'t get me wrong, as high-tech phones go, this is top of the range stuff, however be warned and expect teething troubles. Plus, constantly cleaning the screen from greasy marks can get a little tiresome. Rating:
