Reviewed by parag lahiri on 14/12/2007 Purchased from new delhi, india a year back finding problem with the set, hanging and unable to start it, can you suggest how can I use this set Rating:
Reviewed by John on 06/12/2007 would have been a 5 rating but I find that you have to lock the keypad/screen as it is too easy to activate by accident. Battery life is not as good as my old SE S700i but I can live with recharging it more often, this could be because I use the many functions more. never had a crash and it has been totally reliable with a 2GB card now looking to add satnav to it. Other than that I am extremely pleased with it. Rating:
Reviewed by chris on 24/11/2007 I have had a white m600i for the last 18 months and its been one of the best smartphones I have had (and I've had a few). The great thing is you don't have to carry a round a brick of a phone to get all the smartphone features - this phone is a great size - a smartphone that is pocketable. The keypad is an excellent piece of design, and after only a few hours using it I wouldn't go back to a more conventional thumbpad or onscreen. The built in music player quality is extremely good quality, and with a 2GB or more M2 memory card you can load up loads of albums without having to carry a separate ipod or similar. I also bought a cheap bluetooth GPS and the TomTom sat nav software for UIQ, and this works really well on the m600i. Downsides are that the built in RAM is a little on the stingy side, so if you leave a lot of apps open at once the phone might struggle. As with any smartphone its important you keep on top of the firmware updates. SE make this pretty easy by offering online updates via your PC - this will probably solve most of the issues people have posted about. I am moving on to a P1i now as I love the keypad and phone size, but the extra memory will come in handy. Don't forget that when the 8GB memory cards come out anytime now the m600i will have the same music storage as an iPhone. Spend a little extra on an unlimited data plan and you have a really great pocketable smartphone that can do a lot and is now very cheap. Rating:
