Reviewed by T.B. United Kingdom. on 21/11/2008 I bought the K800i had it for about a month then after my thumb hurting on the joystick with texting a lot i bought the K770i. Why i didnt buy it in the first place is a mystery. The K770i phone is more superior and is a lot smaller and i love it. The K770i is a brilliant, fantastic phone texting is a breeze. The only snag i have found is dont turn the led light on when taking a pic or the pic will be to bright. It takes brilliant pics without this on.I have looked at the keypad on the phone and my numbers, letters etc dont look painted on so i dont reckon they will fade. Anyone wanting a middle range S.E. phone go for it you wont regret it i havent and dont think i will Rating:

Reviewed by Mac on 17/11/2008 A year on after purchasing my K770i, what can I say? Feature wise the phone has performed as expected, no complaints there. My only gripe is the build quality. The coating on the keys are flaking off, my answer call button has gone AWOL. The phone is freezing on me at times. Wear along the chrome strip. Overall a good phone, but the build quality is poor to have come to this state after just 12 months. Rating:

Reviewed by Louise on 13/11/2008 When I got this phone. I was excited. It all seemed good at first., with the camera and lots of games, fairly good battery. However After about 1 week it just wouldn't text. It would call not text and I send loads of texts. It would just go straight to outbox and not send. Ridiculous. I wish I had my old phone but that was nicked. People if you can get one, get the Sony Ericsson W810i it is truly remarkable Rating:

Reviewed by Kevino Coolio on 06/11/2008 I found when I purchased the K770i I was very disappointed with the battery life. It was that disapointing that I had to return the phone and exchange it for another K770i. I was not disapointed. The battery life is excellent and all other functions on the phone are very good. With regards to my previous K750i I find it is a good improvement with regards to the camera/picture quality. My only issue is why have Sony not incoroporated the zoom the function when taking photographs as they did on the previous model. I found this function useful when taking photographs on my previous K750i. Rating:
Reviewed by Thomas Gledhill on 03/11/2008 I have my K770i on a contract and find the phone great to use. It fits really well into my hand, all the functions are to hand(finger). I had a 2GB card fitted so I could have lots of my music ready to listen to. The quality of the sound is very good and is fairly easy to transfer from computer to phone via the Sony program. The radio is very good too as is the camera. The only downside is the paint is wearing off after only 6 months. I would really recommend this phone to anyone. Rating:

Reviewed by Jen on 31/10/2008 I really like this phone - except for 2 issues I have with it. The first is the calendar. I'm used to Nokias, where you can add all sorts of reminders, memos and birthdays to your calendar. This is a feature that's invaluable to a busy mum! However, the calendar on this phone is a big disappointment. You can add appointments, and that's it. A real oversight on SE's part I think. The second issue is the camera. I have a busy young toddler and am often trying to take photos of her. She doesn't understand 'stand still whilst I take a photo', unfortunately. So, even on the 4 photos option, I end up with nothing but blurred pictures. If she was running around, then fair enough I'd expect the pictures to be blurred. But this is happening even when she's comparatively still. Part of the problem is the lengthy shutter lag. By the time the K770i gets around to taking the shot, she's got bored and started moving away. Even my old nokia 6230 took photos faster (and therefore clearer) than this, which is disappointing when you've purchased a 3.2 megapixel camera phone! Other than that, this is a lovely phone. Reviewed by Joanne on 09/10/2008 Being a very busy busy mom, I hastily bought my K770i without even surfing the net or asking around about it. Had to buy one in 15 minutes, so I can replace my K750i which has really served me well for the past 3 years except for its broken joystick. Chose K770i for its slim feature and because it does not have a joystick, and more acceptable camera resolution of 3.2mp. Overall a very great phone, but what really disappointed me is the size of the text. I didn't even take particular notice of it when I purchased it. Now I'm trying to figure out how to make the text bigger because I don't want to use my reading glasses all the time. There seems to be no option for making the text bigger...or is there?? I had no problem with my previous phone, but this one, i give only 3 stars because font size for me is really important. Rating:

Reviewed by Sarah Ali on 01/10/2008 Sony Ericsson K770i a Superb fone no doubt, A girlish fone. Smart , Slim and beautiful in Look but the weak point is its battery, Oh it finishes very quickly plus if you talk for 30 minutes it becomes very hot, O my God i can't hold it then. it makes my ear red and hot too much. Sony Ericsson should notice this problem and try to resolve it. Rating:
Reviewed by Y McWhirr on 30/09/2008 An excellent phone. Very nice styling and the keypad is easy to use. I missed the functionality of the Walkman branded SEs but found it easy enough to set shortcuts to allow me to toggle between MP3 player and radio when on the bus on the daily commute. Battery lasts well and the screen is well-sized and clear. I like the slim line design and it will happily sit in a back pocket. One complaint - the paint chipped off the keypad after a few months. The video quality is rubbish but what do you expect? Camera however is good. I like this model. Rating:

Reviewed by Kevin form Leeds/England on 24/09/2008 I purchased my Sony Ericsson K770i on 20th September 2008. I find the design and styling of the phone excellent and the pictures taken to be bright and defined. However in comparison to my present/previous Sony Ericsson K750i I find the K770i: keys small which makes texting and phoning cumbersome at times. There is also one of the features that I thoroughly liked on the K750i, which is the built zoom feature on the camera function. For some strange reason this is not a working feature on the K770i. I also miss the larger internal memory of the K750i. Why they have decided to give the K770i a small internal memory I cannot understand; because the K770i is suppose to be an upgrade. I purchased the phone with the intention of replacing my K750i. This is in now in doubt and I am now contemplating returning the phone and purchasing the LG KC550. I considered buying the Samsung G600 but changed my mind due to two factors. The phone is not 3G; and having tested the camera, photographic quality is not as good as the Sony K770i; in fact it is of the same quality as my Sony K750i of which I am trying to upgrade. Overall I would give the K770i three stars. It would have received four if it was not for the above mentioned issues. Rating:
Reviewed by Joe on 22/09/2008 The K770i is a fantastic phone! I don't see how anyone could ever knock it, it's almost just like the perfect phone. It's really nice to hold, easy to use, the camera is fantastic and i think people talking about battery life being poor, you're either over using it or your batterys are dodgy - mine lasts for ages! It's really good value for money and made a good replacement for my K800i. Rating:

Reviewed by Tazz D on 11/09/2008 great phone, my partner has the K800i and to be quite honest i would take the k770i for obvious reasons the k800i has the added bonus of a great xenon flash, compared to the k770is White led flash which shows to be poorer for close ups as the lack of the red/orange flash makes most daylight pictures a touch to bright in some conditions but as for using of the phone iv found it much more responsive to reading pictures etc of a big memory card with them loading up faster than the k800i Rating:

Reviewed by Chall on 29/08/2008 Billy from Surrey is spot on. I live in an area with admittedy poor signal strength but because it always wants to go on 3G, it doesn't work. I had the phone on 3 because the network is usable where I live. My girlfriend is on 3 and so is my battered, 2 year old Nokia and these phones work but alas not my shiny new 770.
