K770i is not quite good for me though it has many features that i love. i got mine 1 week ago(i got the pink one) and i really hate the button at the side which is use in taking pictures/videos. doesn't work well. *kinda moody* --sometimes it do work and sometimes not *urgh! --i realized too that the battery is poor compared to my other phone. The volume also of the phone bugs me. the loudness of the highest is not that loud for me. (it was bought i think, for almost a year. it was just given by my sister from UK which i got a week ago)

battery life was poor a day or 2 maybe? software was slower than my k750i and picture quality was worse. i had difficulty using the camera because it was real fiddly. it was nowhere near as good as my old fone, i had mine 4 months before it actually broke, a small switch broke on the slider i was quoted £60 to repair it, rubbish considering i paid £80 for it. i sent it away for repair but apparentlty the damage was due to water damage so i couldn't get it repaired under warranty :(

the k770i is a handy and convenient normal phone. Its camera is outstanding but lacks the zoom feature. Video mode can be used alongwith zoom. Contrary to popular belief the standby time really is 400hrs. try to keep the brightness low around 60% to conserve on much needed battery. Keep the ringer sound normal and not too loud. You can easily get at least 2-3 days standby with normal 5hrs usage. I recommend this fone for fret-free people who just need some music on the go and a SIMPLE phone to text and make calls with. (This phone does not offer facebook applications, wifi, tv out options or any hitech solutions to you business schedule. Its a really light 95gram phone that you wont even feel that you have in your pocket. The keys are a bit harder to press than nokia due to their slim design but all SE`s are like that. You`ll get used to it. Its memory suffices for more photo sessions and music libraries. Video quality is not to die for so dont rely on it too much. Good for mms and emails.) Recommended in this price range!!!

i'v bought this k770i 2 days ago to replaced my lost k800i. first impress its has smooth design. but the k800 has better materials for its cover. k770's screen isn't as bright as the k800. and the camera looks cheaper and weaker than the k800. even it has same resolution, but the chinese assembled taste, plus no infrared sensor and no xenon, makes this phone feels sishy in compare with k800. one more, i think the processor on this phone also weaker than k800i, eventhough the lil k610i hav better acceleration than this both cybr.

When i bought this phone i was upgrading from a SE W810 and for the first few months i felt it was a good decision; however, after getting used to the slight differences between the phones i have come to realise that in day to day use the K770i just doesn't cut the mustard. Firstly, this phone is in the K*** series which should mean that the camera is superior to W*** series phones, which it is certainly not; The zoom function only works in videos and vga mode (W810i zooms for 2mp photos) and the photo editor has awkward, unuseful features and doesn't even include a pen function. The music player is a poor effort and doesn't allow you to scroll your playlist while in the Now Playing screen. Also, the bass equalizer is very weak and hardly even noticable. Most of the other features of the phone are pretty much up to the standard of most SE phones(good) One last thing i would like to mention is that recently my K770 has not been allowing me to save photos from pic messages i'v received and when i edit photos i can't save them (a message comes up to say my memory is full when it's not) If you want a Sony Ericsson phone then i would suggest getting either the W810 or a W850 as they are by far the best SE phones i've owned.

I have had this phone for about 6 months. There have been a couple of problems with the phone. The first one was I could not send or receive messages. I had to reset my phone to put it right and now only 2 months later I have experienced problems with the profiles settings and not getting the alerts for calls or messages and my photo's have disapeared. I am in the process of trying to sort it out and hopefully get a replacement. So I am not impressed. The features were okay without these problems but now I have been turned off of sony ericsson. Also the keys have worn quite quickly compared to previous phones.

The K770i is not a brilliant phone. I have a lot of problems with the memory card due to some faulty connection, meaning that what ever I try to put on ,the next day I will have gone. Also it seems to have gone on to a memory card setting meaning I can now no longer take photos or videos. On the hand it is quite a good looking phone with grate internet 3G and even Ebay. The camera is also very good with cyber-shot -though only when it works. Altogether a bit of a disappointment for £80.00. I WOULD NOT NOT RECOMEND TO A FRIEND!

Have had SE phones before and chose this phone with confidence on an 18 month 3 contract as it combines a solid feel with a slimline profile and cool metal/plastic casing, plus the excellent Sony Cybershot camera. In everyday use the phone/camera has stood up well to daily abuse with only one minor repair required to the memory card slot after a major tumble. The only downside being the number pad which rubbed off with the first few months and required a cheap Ebay SE cloned part to replace it, as the SE original was not economically viable! Have just ordered my new C902!!!

Vile, vile phone. Really does put Sony Ericsson to shame. My previous experience with Sony Ericsson was fab (K700i). Rock solid, no flex, no creaking. Sadly, the centre joystick “stuck” and became hard to use. I brought this phone in the hope that it would live up to my previous expectations of Sony Ericsson phones. Firstly, the chassis is made out of creaky cheap plastic. The back, when taken off flexes like rubber. The software is appalling with the browser not being Opera Mini and the general bloat of the software ie. a random plane taking off in my video folder. The bloat is even made worse by setting all of the games (all of which are poor and extremely sub-slandered), apps ect to read-only! Thou shall not delete thy plane video! The camera, which is one of the major selling points of this phone is rubbish with shutter lag over 1.5 to 2 secs. The included headset is rubbish – when you walk down the street at a normal pace, the ear buds just ke ep falling out. This is made worse by the single proprietary connecter on the phone. I can’t listen to the radio whilst charging it! Sony Ericsson, if you are reading this, pause and rethink why your early phones were so popular (I’ll give you a hint: build quality). You need to rewrite/restyle the GUI so that it can still compete with the likes of Nokia and Apple – why? They are so simple to use and just have design coherence. Also, don’t ever put your apps as read only. I don’t want a stupid face twister app on my phone, nor do I want a rubbish diving game. I'm going back to Nokia.

When playing music it is loud but not very loud. Music player is simple and easy to work. The phone even has a light which comes in very handy on drunken nights lol! Not too inpressed with the LED flash on the camera, it not a patch on the K800i (which was my last phone), which had the brilliant Xenon flash! Also on of the mager promblem ifo me is that when i use the usb cable and that Edit picture thing on your phone when i save or try to add a photo is says " Memory is full" when i have loads of memory free this also happen if bluetooth work when someone trys sending me a photo or a song it say the same thing . Memory full even thou it isnt.. Aprat from that the sound quality when player music is very good ... volume is good ..also which really impressed me is the screen is really bright and very clear .The camra is really good but only with pic. one last bad thing after a couple of month pf having the phone the writting on the button rubbed off. A good all round phone but I am going back to Nokia next time, I find their phones more user-friendly. Good things about this phone is the camera, it's excellent, as long as you can manage to stay completely still as a statue before you take your shot. And the one thing that really bugs me about this phone (and a previous Sony Ericsson phone I owned previously) is the limited amount of text space, it drives me MAD!! I am quite a text freak and honestly, it's a chore having to abbreviate texts down to the bare minimum, or sometimes having to send message over 2 seperate messages (alright I know there will be people out there saying 'well it might be easier if you just phone people!!'), but hey that's the beauty of texting isn't it?! Otherwise it's a good little phone, light, stylish looking, and well, that's pretty much it. I like Sony Ericsson phones but hope they have or will extend their texting capacity, if they do, I would get another one, but because of this reason, I am going back to Nokia, where it's pretty much limitless.

a good fone for the price with all the things you would need, camera is good quality, you cant zoom in, but after you take the picture you can zoom and edit with the great photo editing software thats built in. battery could be improved but if u turn off the blutoof wen u aint usin it it lasts about 4 days if u only use it 4 about 10 mins per day, if you use it for a couple of hours, it will go down to about 20% by the end of the day. great fone, just not enuf battery life, great speaker VERRY loud (ive had it on full blast and its still not blown) good quality aswell. had the fone 4 about 6 months of dropping it and the back of the fone were the lens cover is is scrached, but its not that bad, (adds to the effect!!) the screen is VERRY VERRY scratch resistant as there isnt a single scratch. great fone 4 the price

i got the black one. wanted truffle but oh well. this has been my first proper camera phone. I like it alot. its small can fit into jean pocket. easy to use and understand battery isn't very good however :( and after about a year the buttons can kinda rub off. camera is good but sometimes a bit blurry. The pictures look good on the small screen of the phone but when transferred to the computer can sometimes be quite pixelated and blurry. my friend has the k800. although she prefers mine because its slimmer and less bulky. the k800 has xenon flash and you can edit videos like on a timeline kind of thing on the actual phone and cut parts of it easily. you can't zoom in on the 3mp, 2mp, or 1mp setting. which is a bit disapointing. can onli zoom in when its VGA or on video mode. but then its not as clear so i dunno. i keep it on 3mp most of the time. even though with vga u can take more pictures. was told maximum memory capacity is 2gb. not sure though. i hav 2gb. didn't take the risk of getting 4gb and it not being compatible. i've dropped it alot of times and hasn't cracked or broken (touch wood). just a couple of minor scratches that are un-noticeable. the screen is a bit on the small side but i don't mind that much. it looks alot similar to the new c902 which is cool lol because lots of people mistake it for that expensive 5mp phone lol

i've now had my K770i since christmas 2008. first off a fantastic phone, the camera picture is un-paralleled, beating my brothers £250 blackberry by a yard, shooting mode nicely customisable with effects, white balance, burst mode etc etc. flash is ok but there is no auto-flash, bit of a let down. the usual photo editing is included. the battery is quite good considering the slimness of the phone. in reference to the memory quips, yes the on-board is awefull, but when i got mine i simple went onto Ebay and bought the appropriate 4GB micro card for a poultry £12. i've now got my entire music collection(which can all be played by artist, playlist etc if you get the 3.5 stereo jack adaptor you can plug it into any set of self powered speakers/ hifi too) and several full length dvd's. Still have 1.5 gb spare. (with the dvd's they need to be converted to GP3 format first, the free software is easily found via google.) Great thing i like with the phone is it is fully java compatable allowing almost all java games/apps to be used on it. My only REAL dissapointment is with the video player software on the phone. No pause, no fastforward/rewind/ just start and stop and if stopped reverts to the beginning of the vid, but with searching online an appropriate replacement can be found and installed via java app. All in all a fantastic phone for not a lot of money. looses a star for the short sited vid software.

Hi it's me again. I sent a review last month saying how i loved this phone well just telling everyone i still love it. I send about 50 texts a day and my keypad is still like new no peeling or fading i have the black version. Battery life lasts me two days but thats no problem i just put it on charge when i go to bed. everything is so easy to find and operate on the phone. One tip i would reccommend is to set it for automatic locking so it wont turn itself on in your pocket/bag etc.I have had no problems whatsoever wih this phone so go on and be a devil and buy one you know you want one lol.

It says it is sending them, but it sticks them in the outbox and however many times you try to resend it just doesn't. I was told I needed to get the latest upgrade from the SE website as there was a fault with the model - makes no difference at all. Really frustrating. Not happy.

I absolutely love this phone, BUT the keypad is staring to peel off. I did read that this may happen and I have taken very great care with it. There isn't a scratch on it. It seems that just using the keys is wearing the coating off round the edges, even though I am a very low user. This is simply not acceptable for an expensive phone after 3 months. I have contacted Sony Ericsson but they just want me to send the phone to them, and make it clear that I will have to pay if they say it is not a fault with the phone. Too risky. Apart from this the phone is fantastic.

I really like this phone - except for 2 issues I have with it. The first is the calendar. I'm used to Nokias, where you can add all sorts of reminders, memos and birthdays to your calendar. This is a feature that's invaluable to a busy mum! However, the calendar on this phone is a big disappointment. You can add appointments, and that's it. A real oversight on SE's part I think. The second issue is the camera. I have a busy young toddler and am often trying to take photos of her. She doesn't understand 'stand still whilst I take a photo', unfortunately. So, even on the 4 photos option, I end up with nothing but blurred pictures. If she was running around, then fair enough I'd expect the pictures to be blurred. But this is happening even when she's comparatively still. Part of the problem is the lengthy shutter lag. By the time the K770i gets around to taking the shot, she's got bored and started moving away. Even my old nokia 6230 took photos faster (and therefore clearer) than this, which is disappointing when you've purchased a 3.2 megapixel camera phone! Other than that, this is a lovely phone.

Had to buy one in 15 minutes, so I can replace my K750i which has really served me well for the past 3 years except for its broken joystick. Chose K770i for its slim feature and because it does not have a joystick, and more acceptable camera resolution of 3.2mp. Overall a very great phone, but what really disappointed me is the size of the text. I didn't even take particular notice of it when I purchased it. Now I'm trying to figure out how to make the text bigger because I don't want to use my reading glasses all the time. There seems to be no option for making the text bigger...or is there?? Battery lasts well and the screen is well-sized and clear. I like the slim line design and it will happily sit in a back pocket. One complaint - the paint chipped off the keypad after a few months. I purchased my Sony Ericsson K770i on 20th September 2008. I find the design and styling of the phone excellent and the pictures taken to be bright and defined. However in comparison to my present/previous Sony Ericsson K750i I find the K770i: keys small which makes texting and phoning cumbersome at times. There is also one of the features that I thoroughly liked on the K750i, which is the built zoom feature on the camera function. For some strange reason this is not a working feature on the K770i. I also miss the larger internal memory of the K750i. Why they have decided to give the K770i a small internal memory I cannot understand; because the K770i is suppose to be an upgrade. I purchased the phone with the intention of replacing my K750i. This is in now in doubt and I am now contemplating returning the phone and purchasing the LG KC550. I considered buying the Samsung G600 but changed my mind due to two factors. The phone is not 3G; and having tested the camera, photographic quality is not as good as the Sony K770i; in fact it is of the same quality as my Sony K750i of which I am trying to upgrade. Overall I would give the K770i three stars. It would have received four if it was not for the above mentioned issues.
