Reviewed by kirsty on 22/02/2010 Only had this phone a couple of months and already its crashed aseveral times losing all my stored photos, etc. Last week it wouldn't charge, telling me I had to use a Sony battery (er, that'll be the one that I am using then?!), and no network coverage at all. I sent it off to 3 for an upgrade, and its come back working, but now my text messages are all ove the shop (In a conversation, they aren't in the correct order, and I can't tell if I've sent or received a message). Shan't be getting another Sony Ericsson becuase its too much hassle. Rating:
Reviewed by Jason on 16/02/2010 I hate this phone!!! It seems unlockable, constantly calling people in my pocket and turning its self on when on a plane etc. Back to Nokia for me Rating:
Reviewed by Station on 07/02/2010 Had the phone for 'bout 24 hours now and overall I think i'm gonna like it. The only 2 minor drawbacks I've found thus far is that the ringtone volume isn't particularly loud even at the top level (but stick it on vibrate as well and I'm sure this won't be a prob) and there is slight wobbling "up and down" when you open the slider but other than that a very decent easy to use phone (I sussed out how to do most things without having to refer to the "manual"). I probably will upgrade to differnt model when my minimum contract is up but until then I think i'll be happy enough with this one. Rating:
Reviewed by Alison on 06/02/2010 This is a great phone. I've had it for months now in the Glamour Red colour - very attractive I must say! I must admit, despite the hits and misses I am a confirmed SE convert (came over from Nokia). The simple reason is that I'm a big texter and NO phone company has better predictive texting than the SE T9 database. You can add your own words to an editable list which is very handy. Also (bit superficial I know) but there are lots of great smilies to use and when you've finished your text you go automatically to a list of the recent people you've texted as well as the option of choosing a contact from your address book.I found Nokias very unreliable when saving your words - sometimes they would, sometimes they wouldn't. And I've never used a Samsung that offers picture smilies instead of a collection of commas, brackets etc. Down to this phone now. It is a very clear microphone which is plenty loud enough, nice loud ringtone and message alert and a customisable D pad on the front which proves invaluable. It has a double LED light and activating the camera is a doddle as it switches on when you just slide down the phone cover. Unlike the K800, the cover is pretty secure and doesn't ever slide down on it's own when in your bag or pocket so an improvement there. The photos it takes are great and it's easy to set them as your screensaver etc. I wouldn't say the phone is a fingerprint magnet even though it has a glossy finish. However I think it probably needs a bit of looking after as it is a bit plasticky and I don't think it would survive a lot of nasty drops. I love my phone and after several months heavy use it hasn't caused me a moment's trouble. I would recommend it as it's one of the two best (no.1 having to go to the w995 at a hundred pounds more) phones SE have released since the legendary k800. Very pleased with my purchase! Rating:
Reviewed by mel on 05/02/2010 I dont even think this phone deserves one star! Like most people on here that have experienced problems with it, I am also on the 3 network. It worked fine, then a week after I got it, it said it could not charge as it wasnt a sony ericcson battery, so I phoned 3 and got them to send a replacement, yet the problem occured again so I took it to get fixed and now I have no memory at all even though I have no pictures/videos/music at all. I cant even text as it says my memory is full. I bought a memory card in the hope that it would help, but it doesnt! So it looks like i'll be taking it in for repair AGAIN. My mum has the same phone with the same network and is also experiencing problems with her phone memory and the speaker on the phone is extremely low when she calls people, making it virtually impossible to hear them!
