This phone is ok but it could be better. If you're looking for a good all rounder phone then this is a good choice. But the issues are: - Internet (doesn't work due to a "connection failure - Camera (can't turn on flash whenever you want and can only zoom when its on vga) - Signal (I hardly ever get 5 bars) But it looks good and the camera, battery, speakers and interface are good

I purchased the c510 and this is my (color: future black) and this is my third week from purchase. I think this phone is great in terms of the features provided at this price range. But SERIOUSLY, talking back to my first week after purchase...on just the 6th day, I was using it normally, using the Sony Ericsson's original software, transferring music via bluetooth onto my phone. It was working fine until one song that crashed my phone. That file my phone crashed on was perfectly fine (and proved to be fine after I got my phone fixed)...and so after it crashed, it first, couldn't recognize my SIM card, then secondly it said my battery wasn't an original Sony Ericsson battery, but it was!...then on the third re-boot, it couldn't find my mobile network, and my them went wacky...and master reset didn't do anything but delete all the data, then screwing up it's own OS. I obviously had to take this phone back to Sony Ericsson for servicing...glad it only took 2 hou rs. A second problem is that now I'm using this phone for the third week, the back where it writes "3.2 megapixels auto focus"...the "3.2" is fading/partially rubbed off... and now...even the "megapixel" word is starting to rub off...but I've just been making normal calls and normal texting with a dry hand...and I don't even use my phone that often. Right now, I'm worrying if the stuck-on "Cyber-shot" logo would fall off too... I would say this phone is a "very-good" overall, but is unreliable in terms of the physical features, and the OS is somewhat unstable as to what happened to mine within the first week of purchase... ...oh and camera...it's good for regular quick/random photos...but the capture speed is a bit slow...but that isn't that of an issue. My word for the c510..."Good luck and use with care. Not too fragile but not the sturdiest."

I love Sony Ericsson phones and always have. This phone does everything I want it to and the camera is fab compared to the Samsung tocco that I have just got rid of. The only problem is that I've only had it for a week and today it went crazy on me by changing some of the language into chinease, some in english and I didn't know what the other was. I decided to do the good old turn it off and then on again to reboot it but it then refused to turn back on. It did the Sony Ericsson start up with the logo but after that just went black. I have spoken to my provider who are going to exchange it for a new one for me tonight but I hope this isn't a common problem with this model.

Have this phone for 1 month now. Great phone. First thing you should do is to flash your phone with the SE update service after you placed your sim card in. That will settle all and any bugs available. Then enjoy the phone. Only problem is that from w810i to this phone, I keep pressing the back key instead the C key to delete text. Not used to that yet. The camera is very very good. I have stopped bringing my Canon S3 IS camera and bring this instead. Saves me room, and works well for instant snapshots. Photos are almost as near as the S3 IS. When Sony manages to find a way to make optical zoom with their cybershot range, then say bye-bye to your compacat IXUS or other cameras. Because this will kill it all. It will be a matter of time...

I have had nothing but a nightmare with the C510. I am on Vodafone network and have had 4 new handsets in the space of 2weeks!!! Keep having the same faults - it just switches off & doesn't switch back on agian. It's extremly fustrating as the actually phone itself is pretty good - when it works!!!!

I decided to replace my trustworthy K880, try the k850 and last week I bought the C902 and C510. On the C902 quality phone with a poor 5mp camera and when making call the loud speaker doesnt work. However, with the C510 excellent phone, only fault the loud speaker in the wrong place, should be at the top instead of the bottom. So i would recommed the C510 excellent phone, which you can pick up for just £79.95 what a Bargain.I buy phone because of the camera quality the C510 is better than the 6303.

I bought this phone on the basis of the high proportion of good reviews on this site. Now, I am at a loss to understand them! My phone had to be returned. It wouldn’t work with a one-bar signal, which where I live means that it wouldn’t work at all. Even moving to somewhere with more than a one-bar signal, the speech broke up. The vibration was very poor indeed compared to a Nokia and an LG, so for anyone with failing hearing the phone is a non-starter. Although its ring tones can be turned up really loud, this doesn’t help in noisy environments without good vibration. So, however good all the phone’s other features may be, it gets a bad assessment from me as a functioning phone.

Had the c510 for about a month now im very impressed with it as it has everything i need.... user friendly interface, great 3.2 camera, limitless applications including Youtube, Google Maps, Media player etc I use mine for Skype (free calls over internet). Its also very sturdy & strong dropped mine 3 times by accident on a pavement, in a car park & kitchen floor no scratches or missing pieces!! Battery life is excellent as well. The only thing that i found frustrating was the internet browser which can take a while to load pages sometimes. Overall amazing mobile phone!!!

I love this phone. I’m a heavy user so stress over what upgrade to get each year (thank you Mobile Phones UK for annually helping me out)! But I’ve made the right choice this year. I’ve had a lot of different types of phones and have now decided to stay away from touch screens completely. Knowing what buttons you have or have not pressed is bliss, not to mention the ease of use and speed when texting. I have also decided SE’s are definitely my favourite. Their menu’s make sense, things are where you would expect them to be and as a camera phone lover, the picture quality really is very good. Last year I defected to LG after having another SE (which I loved), but I’m so glad I’m now back with such a user friendly phone. This phone is truly outstanding. In the looks department, it has a lovely quality build feel to it and (on my black version) on the front it has a very, very subtle glitter effect to it which makes the casing look that little bit more expensive. I’ve seen people saying that the buttons are tiny, but they’re just average size for a candy bar phone – I’ve had no problems. I can’t tell you have happy I am with this phone, that is actually classed as a cheaper market phone. My contract provider could only offer me a down grade to keep my bill at the same price this year, so I reluctantly went for this phone and am so surprised at how good it really is. As I say, I’m mostly interested in the camera function on phones and this does not disappoint. I was very put off that this only has 3.2 megapixels but it is a Cyber-Shot camera phone, so has wonderful gadgets to play with, but mostly, is really good quality. Obviously it can’t replace a stand alone camera, but I do use it as such and it definitely does the job for me. If you want a cheaper market phone (as PAYG or contract) that looks good, hasn’t got annoying touch screen bits anywhere & is generally a fantastic bit of kit – then go for this. I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

Had to finally find a replacement for my W810 so I decided to get the c510 as it is rated quite highly. I believe this phone is one of sony ericsson's better phones, however it has the tendency to freeze. It is annoying but the video capabilities more than make up for this classic SE flaw. Has a decent media player as well, who needs a walkman phone? Overall I give it 4 stars due to the freezing flaw.

I tried the C510 which 3 claimed was an upgrade and hated it so much I've put it back in the box and returned to my K800i which is far easier to use and feels better quality altogether. It wouldn't let me zoom with the camera and I had to get my daughter to work out how to stop predictive text. I really thought this phone felt more like a budget phone compared with K800i

On getting this phone I was a bit sceptical. Coming from a K800i I missed the sleep clock/messages/missed calls function. Also the back button is so close to the internet button, for the first day I kept catching it and logging on.The buttons on the k800i are small, but these are tiny! However having lived with it for a few days I found it easy to text with, good loud ringtone, crisp colourful display, accurate Google maps and a good camera. So now I'm won over and can say I recommend it, except if you've got particularly big digits. A bargain at this price, well done SE!
