Siemens SX1

Product Rating

Siemens SX1 The SX1 has strips of keys built in to each side of the phone, instead of an ordinary keypad, to give it a sleek shape. This design innovation also shifts the large, 65K color high-resolution screen into the center of the device without compromising overall size as the SX1 only weighs 116 grams. Embedded discreetly underneath the screen are central navigation keys which help make the features of the SX1 even easier to navigate.

Features of the Siemens SX1 include:

  • Built-in video player
  • camcorder
  • music player and FM radio
  • gaming supported by Series60 or Java (J2ME)
  • Full set of business applications directly comparable to a normal PDA, including local and wireless synch

hi there all... Siemens done a great job to release the SX1 ... it is a good phone ... but the negetive pont is that we have no service center for siemens phones in pakistan ... I have siemens SX1 and other siemens models also ... but my SX1 suddenly make problems .... the sofware is washed and phone is not boooting ... I have checked to many professionals but no one give me positive response ... I want to ask siemens company ... why they do not have their service center in pakistan...

Masterpiece of Siemens, till today it's the only Siemens product with must complete feature. Next the SXg75 come true, but still it's has no Symbian and minim applications can be installed, not like Symbian OS.

This phone is awsome! It has camera for photo and video, internet, bluetooth, infrared, mms, Symbian, EVERYTHING! It has a strange keyboard layout, but I'm sure you'll get used to it after some time (have tried it (I borrowed it) for two days without writing very much). I've also heard that (when you get used to writing on it) you can write VERY fast on this phone! It also looks GREAT!

I rate this phone very highly, it is so feature-packed, but the only problem is that I have never got used to the keypad shape. My fingers just can't work it as fast as my old Sony. Apart from that it's an outstanding quality product. MP3 player and radio alone make it worth having. Great for customisation, and neat, slimline design. Thumbs up for Siemens.

Hype! Hype! Hype! This phone would have been amazing if it had launched when Siemens said it would, but they missed the boat. Along came the Nokia 6600 which does everything that the SX1 promised to do, only ten times better. Then eventually the SX1 limped into town with its sad-looking keypad and its toytown features. Video recording is a joke on this thing. Bad joke all round. Look instead at one of the latest Nokias or the Sony Ericsson K700i.
