Reviewed by Rob on 18/06/2008 Hello, Okay, this phone will not get you girls, respect or any good friends but it's a cracking little phone and I mean that. About a year ago, I was given this phone for a week to test, and I wrote a short review, but it wasnt published, it is a mighty phone. First one to have a camera, but its only duel band. It's strong hard going and very entertain to damage, as it is made of invincable unbrakeable plastic, and it's completly waterproof. After the tests and experiments I think it's an mint phone, but allas, the one I tested is no more. Rating:

Reviewed by Wayne on 23-08-2004 I have had a lot of problems with my sharp GX10 including the screen freezing and very poor reception. If I want to make a call I have to go outside into the garden. With my Sony Ericsson I never had this problem. Its quite big and heavy too, and its battery life is poor. On the plus side it has a big screen and does take decent pictures, but I have a camera for that, I just want my phone to make calls and not break. Rating:
Reviewed by Annie on 21-08-2004 I have spent a very happy year with my Sharp GX10, but I am looking forward to upgrading to a new model next month. I think it's very user-friendly and great for doing stuff like downloading ringtones, sending picture messages and stuff that can be a nightmare on other makes of phone. The reception is excellent and I have never had any problems with the phone turning itself off or anything like that. It's a small phone that will easily fit into a jeans pocket or a handbag, and it's silver and sexy-looking. The organiser is good, and the camera is still one of the best even when compared to some new phones. I will be upgrading to a GX30 as that has an amazing megapixel camera, just goes to show that Sharp are really at the cutting edge of mobile technology. Rating:
Reviewed by Sam Phillips on 13-10-2003 All in all a great phone, but some points to be aware of are: 1. text input for SMS is not great, fast typing usually omitts the odd character. 2. On Vodafone the only way to get pictures/sounds off the phone is to MMS them (I understand that Vodafone locked data transfer for the phone even with a data cable!!!) Rating:
Reviewed by on 25-05-2003 A truly fantastic phone! It's not chunky, ugly or difficult to use. In fact, It's sleek, clamshell design contains one of the most user-friendly phones you could hope for. It is actually set out like a computer, with folders named "My Pictures", "My bookmarks" etc. The camera is not perfect, but it's outstanding from such a small camera - it's what you would expect from a phone. It would be good if you could send images from your PC to the phone, but is it really a great loss? The external screen offers informative pictures to tell you if you have new messages etc. There are, alas, only two minor faults with the phone. 1) It only holds ten text messages. 2)When you are texting, it is a tiny bit slow. That's all I can say against it. I got it in December 2002, and it's worked perfectly for me since. Really worth buying! Rating:
Reviewed by sheppy on 17-05-2003 Its a great phone, easy to use, cool games, sounds, camera not bad for a gadet feature, messaging good, vodafone live easy to use, clear reception, battery life could have been better (lasts a few days if you dont hammer it). There is lots of reviews with good and bad points, do your research first to see if it meets your needs, so if you want a cool looking phone with great games and sounds and ease of use and dont need blue tooth or pc link up then its for you. A word of warning if your upgrading to this phone on a monthly contract, my service provider told me nothing about having to the get the gprs system activated separately or having to registar my phone on the vodafone website to be able to download games. So make sure you enquire at the time of upgrade whether this needs to be done. It will save you hours on the phone in the future. Rating:
Reviewed by Kevin on 16-05-2003 Good looking phone with some excellent features but some glaring flaws. I've owned the phone for a couple of months and am generally impressed with it. Excellent screen, good for games, feels good in the hand and is responsive. The downsides however are in my opinion, major flaws. The phone is locked to Vodafone Live and not much of the content is free. The camera is reasonably good for a phone but the only way to get images onto your PC is to email them to yourself at 36p a message. The IR port only works as a means of using the phone as a modem, so does the optional data cable. There's no connectivity with a PC other than as a modem, so no downloading ringtones to it from your PC and no downloading your own scans to use as wallpapers. It all seems designed by Vodafone as a ploy to get as much money out of you as possible. Good phone with some excellent features but there's just too much missing or disabled. If I could choose again, I'd buy the Pansonic camera phone instead. Rating:
