Bought this phone today and i think it is very good. Touch screen is very responsive and keypad is easy to use. And i was very suprised at how light the phone is. And if anyone is thinking of buying the LG cookie then i would say dont. The samsung tocco lite looks a lot more expensive than the cookie and i think the LG cookie looks like a toy phone.

This is such an AWFUL PHONE. I can't tell you how much it annoyed me in the three days I had it. Looks easy to use until you try and send a text (the touch screen is either over or under sensitive) or speak to someone without accidently 'pressing' the touch buttons (sending beeping sounds down the line to your recipient)....I was on the phone to Orange and the call centre guy was getting fristratd with me because all he could hear was beeping. And these were the people who sold me the phone!!! Other issues - battery cuts out quickly, very little time to plug in charger, esp if you're not sure wher it goes on the first try. The alarm is annoying too. I've noticed networks pushing this phone, advertisements etc but if you look on independent sites eg dialaphone, it's often to be founf in the clearance section. It is over-hyped and a piece of rubbish, don't bother.

I am getting this phone for my birthday. my friend had one and lovd it (before she lost it). a lot of people are saying "buy the lg cookie" or "got an lg cookie instead". i had an lg cookie and i was over the moon when i first got it. But after a few weeks, it would just randomly restart deliting all my texts in the process. so if i had it on silent at school, it would restart and go onto full speaker. my friend has been through 3! do not buy the lg cookie !

Hi After hours of research I decided to go for Samsung Tocco Lite (I was also considering buying LG Viewty). The phone is great and the battery life is great!!!! I am with o2 (I changed the network setting as suggested on your website to 900/1800) and have no problems with making/receiving calls. I had problems to set up my gmail email on Tocco lite ( I could receive but send emails). The carphonewarehouse o2 customer service tried to help but eventually I had to figure it out myself (which took a couple of hours) so decided to share the info with you. First, go to your google email acc: setting/forwarding and POP/IMAP/IMAP access to enable IMAP (in default settings the feature is disabled). You might also want to go to Samsung website/ tocco lite support links and get them to text you the MMS and WAP settings. Now your phone: Go to Main menu/messages/settings/email/email profiles and tick o2 WAP Then go to Main menu/messages/settings/email/email accounts and choose ‘create’ These are the settings you need to enter: acc name (choose whatever name you want) smtp server: smtp.gmail.com smtp port: 465 secure connection: SSL incom server type: imap4 imap4 server: imap.gmail.com imap4 port: 993 secure connection: SSL download limit: (500) but this really up to you what you gonna choose imap4 incoming email: (new) but this really up to you what you gonna choose retrieving option: (subject only) but this really up to you what you gonna choose, depending whether you want to retrieve whole email or just the subject and then decide if you want to retrieve the whole email keep on server: (ticked) ) but this really up to you what you gonna choose my addess: (email address) user name: (email address) password: (your email password) smtp auth: (ticked) –this is Important, must tick it! same as pop3/imap4 (ticked) Hope this is useful, Cheers :)))))))

I used my old o2 sim card so it could be an issue with o2. That was the final straw for me, so i got my money back because it was still within the first 28 day period. Its a shame because its a very good phone if it works properly

I used to have the Tocco F480, but it got stolen and as I didn't have phone insurance, I had to buy a replacement. After looking around, I decided to try the Tocco Lite instead as I found one for £70 (ebay) brand new. Sure it looks different, and has slightly lesser specs than its bigger brother, but in the real world, it's just as good. In fact, I think it's actually faster, and I've not had a single 'miss-tap' on the touch screen in the last 2 weeks, so maybe that part is even better :)

I have had this fone for 3 days now and i can say is that i love it. I bought it from the Carphone Warehouse with a vodafone sim-card pack and it works perfectly, no problems with the mic cutting out etc. For a fairly low spec camera the image results outdoors are surprisingly good, although it won't replace your proper camera, it'll certainly do as a quick snapper. If you through away the cheap and nasty included headset and replace it with a headset with a 3.5mm jack (headphone port) and use a decent pair of headphones, you will discover this fone has very good sound quality. The touch screen is responsive and the UI (menus) is clear and easy to navigate. The build quality is also top notch as is design. The design of this fone was the reason i got it over the cookie. Overall, this is a very good budget fone.

Got the Tocco Lite a few days ago, and so far so good. Was gonna get the now 'outdated' LG Viewty because of it's quality camera (including video camera)but opted for the Samsung instead. This little gem oozes quality, and the design engineers at Samsung should take a bow! Clear layout, straightforward and easy to setup and navigate the many menu's and features. Sturdy build quality, if a little 'slippy'(watch out here!)Attaching a strap should help. I especially love the 'retro' type dials when setting date and time/timers etc. Feels like the real thing when vibration is enabled - neat design indeed! This phone has a great screen - even small text is clear and sharp. Basic phone operations like dialing and texting work a treat - fast and responsive. Camera produces acceptable shots, especially outdoors in good lighting. Perfectly ok for standard size prints or viewing standard size. Indoor shots don't work so well unfortunately - but then again there's no flash or autofocus to help here! Video clips are very basic indeed - they look and sound ok played back on the phone but don't look great when viewed on PC screen. Adequate for YouTube uploads possibly! All in all this is a great phone, considering what you get for your money. It has everything that most people would want, and the basics like texting and dialling work well (once you get used to touchscreen). I look at this new phone with all it can do, and think of not that long ago when I bought my very first mobile phone with tiny mono 3 line display, and very basic phone only functions... how times have changed!!

Well what can i say.. This phone is amazing! First of all, i am very surprised to see how many people are getting cut off on conversations. Luckilly this doesn't happen to me, maybe because i'm on vodafone? Idk. But anyway, the phone is very smart, and the touchscreen is brilliant! Most of all the battery life; absolutely amazing! The lock is good aswell; i don't use the button at the side to lock/unlock mine, it's done via the screen, so it's not likely to accidentally catch it in you pocket as you have to keep your finger on a certain area of the screen to unlock it again. Mine's the black lite. Stunning! Great price too. I have absolutely no complaints. I struggled with the t9 on the texting at first, then i saw there is a t9 abc and a t9; one, in which finds most the words via the dictionary (still t9, however one of the t9's doesn't find every word. so annoying) I reccomend this phone, deffo.

It's a great phone, i'd really recommend it. i got it for £80 on condition i topped it up with £20. it is good looking and has some good features, including the widgets and a application called 'find music'. words can be added to the t9 dictionary by pressing the down arrow which appears on the word suggestions whilst using the t9 dictionary and them select 'add word'.

Bought 2 tocco lites from CPW, one has been back 3 times for cutting out fault reported below (is an O2 sim card as well). They would not refund me for a 2 week old phone because the original was bought more than 28 days ago! Horrendous, but the other one appears to be working ok and I love it, the call quality is clear the ringtones are really loud (which is what I wanted) and the touch screen is fab. I would recommend this phone but be extra careful if you are on O2. 3 stars given due to problems with other phone.

I've owned this phone now for approx a month and I must admit I'm still very happy with it. The one great thing about this phone is that it is a touchscreen phone but still quite light and small especially when compared to other touch screen phones. Also it does not look cheap at all, if anything most people who have seen the phone have been impressed with just how smart it looks. While it may not be as responsive or filled with apps like the IPhone or other high end phones it still does a very good job. About the only 2 criticisms I have the phone is: 1) No 3G or WI-Fi 2) There are a limited selection of themes on the phone However that being said I still think this is a truly wonderful phone

I Think its a gr8 phone and all the features 4 that price, its simply a bargain :) Doesnt come with a stylus but any other stylus will work just make sure u dont lose it ;) Only thing is my firmware is not java friendly so i cant download games until samsung bring out an update but that dont bother me much. This is my 2nd review, and I MIGHT have a solution for O2 users. As I previously wrote, I have had the 'silent microphone' problem with my Tocco Lite on O2. Try going to Menu - Applications - O2 - Get Settings. Install the settings you are sent and reset the phone. Since I did that, and received the settings for PAYG from O2 I haven't had any problems with calls, (at least for the last 2 days). Hope it helps !

I've had this phone 3 weeks from dial a phone on O2. Similiar problems to others ie; calls cutting out although you can hear the other person and the touch screen is unresponsive in different applications and scrolling. Currently sending back to see if another handset will be better. Not good.
