Reviewed by ashley on 19/03/2010 i bought this phone a week ago, it was a hard choice between this and the cookie but i think i chose the right phone, with little or no lag on the touchscreen and a decent camera. the best thing about this phone has to be the battery life, i have been constantly using it since monday when i bought it and it still has two bars of battery left, and its now friday. excellent phone but in my opinion should definatly have come with a stylus. Reviewed by Smithyy on 15/03/2010 Don't buy the Tocco Ultra get this instead! The tocco lite is so much better. I originally had the tocco lite and I loved it to pieces, but I got robbed. The insurance company replaced it with the tocco ultra and I was very pleased at first. However after just 2 days I disliked it strongly, I've now had it 3 weeks and so far I can tell you this is why you should get the tocco lite over the ultra: First off yes the Ultra has an 8mega pixel camera and I have to admit its pretty good. However other than excellent resolution on the photos and video its not much improved, with poor flash, poor focusing and poor light balance, its not close to equivalent to an 8mega pixel camera. Second yes it has a keypad, but its very smooth and cramped together, it gives to much when pressed making it hard work to text with. Also the top row of keys to be pressed with a normal sized thumb (not the child like hands samsung seemed to think would be using it) you have to tilt your thumb and use your nail as the screen when slid up fully blocks your thumb. Doing this every single time you want to use the 1, 2 and 3 keys is endlessly annoying trust me. Third the battery life is just shameful in comparison with the tocco lite. I use my phone constantly and send 50-100 txts a day and make 4-7 calls a day, not to mention I often listen to music on my tocco lite at full volume on long 1-2hour train journeys. The battery still lasted unbelievably 6-8days before charging. I loved that! The tocco ultra often dies in less than a day. What use is a phone with all these lovely features if you can't even use them regularly with out it dying on you. Fourth the touch screen. Ever used one of those touch screens that takes 3-4tries to notice you clicked on it, then clicks like a cm down from where your thumb is on a seperate button completely? Amazingly frustrating right? Well welcome to everyday of your life if you buy the Ultra. The Lite was responsive, sometimes a tiny bit unresponsive but nearly always did what you wanted. The Ultra WILL NOT, first you always have to aim conciderably high, doesn't sound so bad? Well then add the fact that sometimes the button lights up to show you click it but nothing happens even if left for 5mins. So you resort to click it again then it clicks that button and the next menu as well. Sound tollerable still? Well remeber if it does that (which it will) when your trying to compose a message it'll just send a blank message instead and even taking the battery out wont stop it, or maybe it'll send a private message to one of the first 5 people in your phone book. Oh the frustrating possibil ities are endless. Ok lets move on to slate the Ultra's other down falls in quick succession. The mic cuts your speech off and makes you sound fuzzy unless you talk literally directly into it. The volume button is directly opposite the lock key, that'll get ya for the first month constantly when your not paying attention. The lock button is unresponsive 30% of the time. The camera quick launch button takes sometimes up to 10seconds to launch. well I'm sorry but that just appalling for a quick launch button. the overall phone volume is the only way to turn of the key sounds, but this also turns off a whole host of useful sounds too, like for instance the camera shutter sound, without this sound it very difficult to tell if I took a picture at all, I thought I took 10 or 12 it actually only took 1. The widgets are displayed on a vertical sliding desktop against the lite's horizontal and the Ultra's is 2/3rds the size which is not enough for even half the widgets, barley fitting the usefully ones and the you cant scroll cause you just move a widget out of place instead, that'll really annoy you if you like your phone desktop to be neat or you want a space to see new messages or missed calls. The charger and headphone socket cover when something like headphones is plugged in WILL cover the lock button, often meaning you'll miss a call or just generally make it more difficult to use especially when the only way to ensure half acceptable battery life is to set it to lock if not used after 5seconds. Oh and tocco lite fans out there who are loving the qwerty keyboard don't just please don't buy the Ultra if your phones primary use is texting their is no Qwerty keyboard function and both the keypad and the touch pad are so poorly designed laid out and poorly function that I went from sending 2-3page texts in less than 90seconds to half page texts. having said all this it is a nice phone its just it cheaper companion the tocco lite is so much better in my book. The tocco li te is not an amazingly flashy all singing all dancing phone but it did everything I wanted in a phone and more, its battery life, texting calling and camera where well above average, it looked nice felt nice and worked brilliantly. Its only slight fall back in my book was its back cover which after about 4months fell off a lot, but £9 would get you a much securer back with a flip down screen cover too. Oh and don't use the data transfer software they give you it does not work AT ALL. I know 5 people with samsungs 3 tocco lite, 1 tocco and 1 tocco Ultra and me who had both and none of their software worked at all and it'll waist 2hours of your life to set up. Just switch it to data storage device in the phone menu and do it that way works fantastically. Well if you read all this I hope its helped. Moral of this rant, if you want a cheap touch screen phone get the tocco lite its just everything you could want in one, does everything it says on the tin beautifully and its bette r than everything within £60 of its price range by far. Oh and about the LG cookie, its a nice phone, I've used two its easy to use simple, but the tocco lite destroys it and eats it when it comes to direct comparison. Rating:

Reviewed by P O on 28/02/2010 Honestly? I hate the phone. I was having problems with my old Sony Ericsson so my parents got me the Tocco Lite for my Christmas present without telling me. Now I'm stuck with it for another five years and I've never hated a phone as much as I do this. 1)Texting is incredibly difficult; where it took me less than a minute before, it now takes about three. If you make a mistake, you have to erase the whole word because you can't target the one letter. Also, it's really slow to react to your typing. 2)The camera quality is nothing compared to my old phone (about three years older, I'll have you know.) 3)Viewing your pictures - every so often you start seeing them flash by because you're not holding the phone up straight. 4)Setting the wallpaper - now THERE'S a challenge. 5)No light for your camera. 6)PC Studio hasn't worked since I installed it correctly. 7)The alarm rarely works properly e.g., if you set it for Tuesday and Thursday, it won't work Tuesday, and on Thursday it'll work two hours late. 8)Don't get me started on the music. You can't even put songs onto it - I had to transfer three songs from my mother's phone via Bluetooth. 9)Bluetooth! If you press a few things at the same time it will randomly pop up and turn on - wasting the battery life. So it's nearly always on when it's in my pocket. 10)Making calls: It takes about 6 seconds for my call to "be diverted" before it'll actually start ringing. What if there was an emergency? Must I wait 6 full seconds before the phone even RINGS? 11)It took me about five hours to put the battery in at the beginning - because the back wouldn't come off. But then a few days later, the back miraculously slid off on its own! For no reason! All in all, I hate the phone. Nothing positive about it at all. Rating:

Reviewed by charlotte on 25/02/2010 I got this phone last week because my previous phone broke. I was torn between this and the LG Cookie but I know a few people with that phone and they've had lots of problems with it. The tocco lite is a great phone, the widgets make everything easy to access. You can collaborate the touch screen so as it is more accurate. Its a brilliant phone, and only cost me £80, compared to others on the market its a reasonable price, not found any faults yet! I like how you can change between the standard keyboard and the qwerty one, I find the qwerty one easier for texting. Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because I wish the internet could be faster on the phone, but I'm switching tariffs soon so I'll get free internet then, hopefully that'll speed it up. I love the Facebook widget though, wish there was a twitter one! There isn't a flash on the camera but you can change the settings on the camera to 'night' if its dark and this really improves the picture quality. Rating:

Reviewed by Fletcher K. on 24/02/2010 I love this phone but for one thing - you can't connect via Bluetooth or the cable provided to an Apple Mac, so I have no use for the allegedly cool camera. What a gib! Apart from that, it works like a dream. Definitely the most responsive touchscreen I've tried. By comparison the new LG POP is a stuttering imbecile. I guess if you have a PC it'll be fantastic, just don't buy it from Carphone Warehouse! An all round excellent phone for the price. Mac problem aside I strongly recommend it. Rating:

Reviewed by Bryn on 24/02/2010 This phone is definately worth the money. I've had it for 1 month now, and none of these ''problems'' have occured. It is so easy to use i am writing this comment on it! The issues other people are having with finding a changing things is slightly strange considering i am no cleverer than rock ape and have managed to do it - such as changing text tone and adding words to ''t9'' dictionary. I too like many people was scared about touch screen, but after a week i was wizzing around and finding it a doddle to use. Features: the camera is good, although a bit blury, radio is good, music player ok, sounds tinny though, internet browser slow but not epically, games good selection, screen glossy and wonderful! :) All in all 9/10 One problem though no stylus, but again this is easily solved with a ''ds stylus''. 27 times better than a cookie, both for everyday use and aesthetically! Reviewed by Fahim on 23/02/2010 I love this phone, got it 4 days ago from Carphonewarehouse house on Pay As You Go. As the Editor says it's the twin of LG Cookie mobile, which I had last Autumn. What I like about this mobile is that when I looking through the phonebook it does not accidentially dial an entry in error. Also when I had the LG Cookie & dialled my automated telephone banking service, and had to press x for this service and xx for the other. My bank thought had trouble accessing the numbers & Would get automatically put through to an operator. This phone has a simple keylock on the right-hand side which you can use to unlock phone in conversation and put you caller on speaker or mute. Phonebook icon is excellent as it can group names in Contacts, Groups or my "Favourites" this the Speedial function and can take 12 numbers (inc. Voicemail) where usually standard on most phones is 9. Texting is excellent, you got a choice of portrait mode or turn the phone into landscape mode and type the text in qwerty mode. The phone has the usually organiser items, calculator, alarm, calendar. There is a radio, good camera and mp3 player but bonus item that I'm playing with is the Google Maps, search your location, get directions etc. You can add memory as there is memory card slot. I recommend this phone Rating:

In the latter case it would be quicker to use snail-mail. In the former, its incapable of producing a web-page in a meaningful format. The screen-lock is too feeble. The in-call functions are activated in a particularly cumbersome way. It wont interface with Samsung PC studio even tho it is packaged with it. Overall, a triumph of style over substance. My Tocco had broken twice in a month though - and O2 take two weeks to repair it.... Probably just my luck though! First problem was a software problem, and the second was a bit unknown - I was texting someone and it switched itself off. I had only charged it the day before and barely used it. After turning it on, it showed the startup screen then turned itself off... I took it to O2, and they fixed it within 10 minutes, telling me there was a problem with my charger... right.. Overall it's an alrigt phone - I was used to using an iPod Touch before I got it, and when I got this phone I was dissapointed with the poor quality touch screen, which is never calborated well, gets scratched easily and isn't that sensiive (compared to the Touch anyway). Reviewed by Julia Winters on 05/02/2010 I've had this phone a couple of months now, bought on the recommendation of this site. I've not had a single crash (sony erricson, take note). The touch screen responsiveness is pretty good, though in some cases a make do stylus does come in handy. Texting with the touch screen is pretty easy. With the portrait view keypad, you can one handed speed text as easily as on a real keypad. The landscape QWERTY keyboard is good, but needs 2 hands to use and a bit more attention, useful for special words and characters though. The camera I'm sad to say is not so good though. In all but direct sunlight, the pictures are dark, or blurred and you might get 1 good picture from 10. I've tried all the picture settings, and not found any of them very good, which is disappointing. My girlfriends Sony C902 cybershot (admmittedly a 5MP rather than 3.2) puts the tocco lite to shame. Web browsing is ok for mobile compatible sites. Facebook and twitter etc are easy to access, as is GMail. For non mobile sites, forget it, but you get what you pay for. All in all, for the money, this is a fairly decent phone, and if you're looking for an entry level touch screen, this is a great choice. If you use your phone to take pictures a lot, I'd look elsewhere. I like this phone, and will probably keep it a while, but I've been on a search for my perfect phone for a couple of years now, and am not sure I'm quite there yet. Rating:

At first Bluetooth was very difficult to make work and only a Printer worked. However after looking at the various settings on ALL items,PC/Laptop/ Headphones I eventually suceeded in connecting ALL. I have not however been able to make use of the software using Vista in connecting like Nokia phones do with their software which is 100% better. I can copy photos to and from PC/other phones one at a time so fairly happy. I complained to Samsung and it seems updates will be available.Internet is not very good as no3G but at the price generaly pleased. Good phone too but shame no 3.5 jack lets it down. Rating:
Reviewed by Re-Run on 05/02/2010 Its a good phone but the length of text message you can send is far too short. That leads to sending 2 messages where other phones only need to send one Rating:
Reviewed by David on 04/02/2010 I would not recommend this phone to my worst enemy. The touch screen is extremely insensitive - often you have to tap numerous times for it to register. When you are on a call the screen goes completely blank; in theory you can press and hold the hold key for "more options" e.g. getting the keypad back, but this often doesn't work and even when it does you have to be lightning quick to tap the keypad option, which again often doesn't work. Another really annoying "feature" is that there are NO navigation keys when inputting a text message; when I complained to Samsung about this they replied claiming that if you turn the phone horizontally you get a full qwerty keyboard with navigation keys; after three emails they finally admitted that there aren't any navigation keys! And the qwerty keyboard is totally unusable because the keys are ridiculously small and even with quite small fingers that I have, it is impossible to hit the right key more than half the time. Yet another minus point is that it doesn't add any words that you spell out to the dictionary, so in T9 mode every time you enter a word it doesn't know, you have to enter it manually. The only good thing is that it doesn't cut out on calls (problem which others have had) but then one wouldn't expect it to. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! If you want a Samsung the Genio is cheaper and does at least have navigation keys. Rating:

Reviewed by Rebel Saint on 04/02/2010 This phone certainly is outstanding ... OUTSTANDINGLY BAD!! The most unintuitive interface I've ever encountered. And though touch screens may look very cool, they are an absolute nightmare compared to the positive clear response you get from a good keypad. This is my 1st touch-screen so I don't know if it is particularly poor, but scrolling was a nightmare ... it wouldn't scroll at all, so you press harder and it scrolls too fast or moves things around the screen that you didn't want moving. Texting is awful ... slow, inaccurate & cumbersome. And trying to select a word from the list on predictive text is pretty hopeless without a stylus. The phone looks great, it has loads of very interesting applications & widgets, which is why so many teenagers will rate it so highly. But it's functionality as a PHONE and for TEXTING it is without a doubt the worst phone I've ever had. Definitely a phone for the kids. I'm returning to the safety & practicality of the grown up world and exchanging it for a Sony Ericsson or Nokia with a keypad!! Rating:

It is an overall excellent phone, if you havent owned a touch screen phone before then the text will take a little getting used to, but once i'd had my phone for two weeks i found texting was as fast as on my old phone (sony errikson w810i). The camera and media items on this phone are excellent and the widgets make using the phone easier and faster. I purchased a 8gb memorycard with my phone and even with over 300 songs on it, the phone did not slow down! calls on this phone are simple and clear (im with orange). On thing i would say is that if you are looking to buy this phone i wouldnt suggest going to carphone warehouse - from looking at other peoples reviews, the models purchased from there failed to work and also from personal experiance, i was treated extreemly rudely by members of staff whilst enquiring about this phone. after the bad experiance i chose to buy my phone from phones4U and was treated as a valued customer as well as saving £80 that i would have spent on this phone! From my personal point of view, the tocco lite is slightly more appealing to me. The cookies touch screen is not as successful as the tocco lite's, and the looks aren't as attractive as the tocco lite's. The main reason people get put off the tocco lite is that the cookie has a simple stylus to go with it, which to be honest never gets used by most people. Rating:

My prada 2 phone has 5 megapixels and the tocco lite night mode pictures are the best i have ever seen on a phone. Features are easy to use if your used to the touch screen as goes the texting and general navigation of the phone. Much more stylish than my other phone too and i'm considering selling my other phone as i dont use it at all now. For under £100, you really cant complain, if you want wi-fi, better camera and 3g connectivity, then your looking at the wrong price, try double what you paid at least. Rating:

The camera as rubbish, I could rarely get a good picture in any lighting connditon and the fact there was no flash seemed to put it below the standards of other phones. The interface would sometimes not react to my touch and make texting more annoying then need be. Going on Facebook was ok, the regular web was slow but it got there in the end, although images would be a tad blurry which was a shame. I still could not understand why there was a widget for Youtube on there, as the phone simply could not handle it at all and made the whole thing a pointless addition. At the end of the day, I wish I had brought another Viewty, the camera was better, the web worked fine, even on Youtube and the touch screen caused me no problems, and all for the same price. Cheap touch screen phones are not a good idea, do it properly or don't do it at all. Rating:

Reviewed by Paul on 13/01/2010 This is a brilliant phone at such low price, was wary it would be a mess given such low cost, so far problems very minor and easily solved. To get back to your keypad you need to press the call button to light up screen and choose option/return to key pad and it's displayed job done. The browser issue a little tricky, to enlarge your lettering you need to hold down on the writing not the white area, and you'll see a bar with a + and - each end you then just push thumb up to enlarge or drag down to re size. hope that was helpful. My main issue with samsung because they could've easily added 3g and without 3g i'm unable to use my windows live because gprs struggles badly with secure connections,i'd advise anyone not to use services like windows because ultimately they will work but likely cause problems for your tocco lite, sounds ott but this happened 3times to me and always after using windows and yahoo. If this phone had 3g it would be perfection. Also cam is great but if you look closely at pics you'll see that it do blur and fails to capture the littlest details, outdoors it looks great though. A must buy if you're not too bothered about 3g, apart from that the phone rocks Rating:

The calls don't cut out, but I'm on T Mobile and all the ones that do that are on O2, so don't go with O2. The touchscreen is fantastic, the camera is fab, as is the texting (I text a LOT) music, images, bluetooth etc. Everything is literally amazing and at this price it really is worth getting as at the moment you can get it for £70 - £80! In reply to Emma B on the 6th July 2009, yep if you try to type a word it doesn't have, touch the up arrow (or down repeatedly) above the keypad, and touch 'add word', then you can type it in as normal, then click 'done'. Amazing phone please buy it LG Cookie is rubbish (ive had it) it switches itself off, scratches really easily and to be honest I've had my fair share of LG phones and they are completely unreliable. Samsungs are amazing never had a problem with them. I usually change my phone every 3-4 months, an d, after having this phone for 8 months so far and no current plans to replace it, it is by far the best phone I've ever had. Buy it!! Rating:

Well, I found an offer on the web for a new Tocco Lite phone with a 30% discount so I bought it, took the phone home, upgraded firmware and voila...THIS PHONE ROCKS MAN!! It is really much more sensitive than the cookie, camera is better and same price!! Calls have never cut out, screen is easy to read outisde, unless bright sunlight is directly on the screen. Internet is quick and easy to use. Touchscreen is very reactive and hasnt let me down. Anyone worried about texting on the touchscreen, dont be. It's as simple as you can imagine. Widgtes are fantastic and more are availbale to download. Only problmes are minor. Saving an image as a wallpaper is a nuisance as it splits it into 3 or zooms it on it. Also, when you are on the internet the phone occasionaly turns to the side even if you accidently tilt it slightly. However, dont let those little problems put you of as the rest of teh phone makes up for it. I would recommend this to anyone especially people who are worried about getting a touchscreen phone (as I was before i purchased) as it is so simple to use. Rating:

These help you bring out different apps like the calendar, your memos and images from the side menu that slides in and out on the screen. I like the keylock and how you can text landscape. (: It's a good size and is lite (haha)... The camera is good, but has no flash. That's not a big problem for me but just pointing that out. Some things on the phone need a stylus, I think.. Reviewed by Sophie on 28/12/2009 This phone is amazing. I got it for christmas and it just topped off my day. I have read some reviews elsewhere saying that the touchscreen clicks buttons when in a bag/ pocket. This is albsolute nonsense, because with the lock feature nothing is going to be touched. Everything can be found easily with the simple, but effective, menu screen. I have been on my friends Samsung Genio and even though its design maybe is more fun, the Tocco Lite is definatly the best performer. My only downside would be that the memory card slot is in the back of the phonex, so when you want to put in a memory card or take one out you always have to remove the battery which is a bit of a bum. Reviewed by Sean on 28/12/2009 Well, i love the phone very reactive, fast and fluid touch screen, nice user interface light enough not to be a burden but heavy enough so i know its in my pocket. I haven't experienced any cutting out in calls, and i'm on T-mobile, judging on the reviews on this site alone, i think it may be to do with virgin and O2 sims? Not sure but that's what it looks like to me, eitherway, i've had no problems, the best phone i've had, and brilliant for the cost. Rating:
Reviewed by Aliceee on 28/12/2009 Ok, can I just say all the reviews on this site which have been of little stars have been because of the phone cutting off calls. Although this would clearly be a problem, both my sister and I got this phone and have had no problems of this sort. I love this phone and think it is a brilliant, stylish, affordable touch screen, miles better than the tocco. PRO'S - looks great, thin, stylish and sleek. - good clear, bright screen. - touch screen excellent, extremely easy to text with and use. - really good battery life. - good quality camera. - overall, really easy to use. CON'S - when texting, it doesn't tell you until after inserting message whether you have gone over one message. That is really all the con's I can think of, and it really isn't a big problem. Overall, an outstanding phone, buy it now, you will not regret it!! Rating:

Reviewed by Abbie on 27/12/2009 Unfortunately I would not reccomend this phone to anyone. The touchscreen plays up all the time: Often, when i tap a touchscreen button, let's say for instance the camera button, it will highlight saying that i have pressed it but will not take me to the camera application - it will take several attempts. I have also found that sometimes the phone has almost the opposite problem as i will sometimes press a touchscreen button and no matter how lightly, the phone will react as if i have pressed it twice. This can be extremely irritating whilst trying to text. The camera does not have a flash and although being 3.2 megapixel does not have a very good lense, making that ammount of megapixels fairly pointless as this effects the quality of the picture quite a lot. Despite all this, it is fairly easy to use and find your way around, also the widgets are simple and useful. It does the job, and i have had no problem making and receiving calls. Rating:

If you buy this phone you will have quick and easy internet access. But what shocked me the most was when i clicked on "find music". I found out that if you played a song to that application it would pick it up, and find it on the internet, so that you could buy it. If your anything like me then you want to have easy access and maybe even shortcuts. And this phone provides both, if you enter the menu, then click on the comunnications button at the top, you can get shortcuts to loads of things. Things like Facebook, Youtubee, Google, Photobucket. Then if you scroll on you can find an easier way to access calculators, bluetooth, memo, task, timer, stopwatch and more. Then if you scroll on even more you get multimedia. But you'll have to buy the phone to find out more. But beside all these gadgets, this phone has a stylish, classy look about i t, evberything looks perfect to me. I have mine in pink, but the black looks alot more professional and smart. The onky thing that i can say is bad sbout this phone is getting used to it, from a usual phone! Just to say that if you want to buy it, t-mobile are having a good deal on it, you can get it free, when you buy a contract, and yu can get it for £68.51. Reviewed by logan on 23/12/2009 the tocco lite is a very reliable phone with fantastic features for such little money, the camera which is a 3.2 megapixel is not dissapointing as it isnt very blury or pixalated. the feature that appeals to me most is the accelometre as in texting you rotate it to the side and an on-screen QWERTY keyboard appears which is very easy to use, picture viewing is also very good, if you tilt the screen the pictures "fall" which is very cool. web viewing is also very good .. relitivly slow but not frustratingly slow. The famous widget bar is somewhat entertaining as you can decorate your THREE homescreens. The phone itself is fairly sized "lite" and has a very nice bright screen. There are a selection of good games to play. A disadvantage of this phone is its resistive not capacitive which is a big down for me but the screen is very responsive so a finger. also there is no flash,3G or WiFi but these are all things you can excuse. there is gesture control and handwriting r ecognition. Reviewed by Mark on 19/12/2009 My exp: 15 years electronic geekness, variety of previous phones. No mention of the horendous sluggishness the phone suffers from when texting, going through menus. Its laggy. Samsung dont seem to do any user testing: 1. Change language below the space key, I dont think 90% of users want a quick change language key there, sometimes clicked by mistake. Thanks samsung. 2. AWFUL feature hold down backspace and it doesnt delete a word at a time like most phones. It deletes the entire message within a second. That is pretty disgraceful. 3. Add word. Basically the down and up buttons are so small you cant really press them very well at all. They almost dont work so scrolling down 13 words (you cant go to last one from 1 of course not) will take ages and make you use your index finger, but youll have to hit the right spot and hit the screen quite hard. Annoying. Apart from that its ok, usual stupid ideas such as in text screen a massive drop down bar for changing to a different type of message when it would have been better to see more text. --- It certainly isnt a great phone but for the price there isnt much else. Its a sorry state of affairs for touch screen phones due to samsungs lack of user testing and often awful ideas (the desktop widget is pointless, so is the screen moving). Also no way to manually browse images is stupid. Lots of stupid parts of the software will annoy more advanced users. Rating:

Reviewed by philip on 11/12/2009 now using the tocco lite for 2 months, good battry life lasts about 5 days as i dont use calls much buy use other features of the phone like calander, games and messaging a lot. the phone is not very customisable. everything is quiet fixed to the basics software only being a touch screen phone there is no cut , or copy or past option,, u have to keep typing what you need again and again, when sending text messages to say 10 people and one friends mobile number is no longer in use u get a message to keep trying, if u say no the whole text message just dissapears. and does not send the message to the rest on the list.. one message can be sent to only 10 friends at a time. phone book shows only names and not the number of the person along with the name and there is no option where this can be set as well. thats what i meant in the beginning,, THIS PHONE IN NOT WHAT WE IMAGINE TO BE A TOUCH FUNCTION SCREEN PHONE,, IN OTHER WORDS I WOULD CALL IT A GOOD BASIC PHONE WITH JUST TOUCH SCREEN,, I DONT SEE THE REAL USE MADE BY SAMSUNG OF THE FUNCTION TOUCH. HAVING A TOUCH SCREEN I HOPED THE PHONE WOULD AT LEAST HAVE A TOUCH NOTE PAD OR A VERY BASIC FEATURE TO WRITE FREEHAND NOTES USING TOUCH. I MET A FRIEND THE OTHER DAY AND HE WANTED TO GIVE ME HIS ADDRESS. I HAD A TOUCH SCREEN PHONE IN MY HAND AND A STYLUS BUT HAD TO GO TO PHONEBOOK AND TYPE NAME AND ADDRESS UNDER NAME OR GO TO MESSAGES AND TYPE HIS ADDRESS AND SAVE UNDER DRAFTS. I WISH I COULD JUST MAKE A SIMPLE NOTE USING THE TOUCH SCREEN LIKE A SIMPLE DRAWING. THE PHONE HAS WORKED WELL, NEVER HUNG OR FROZEN,SOFTWARE WORKS STRONG TOUCH IS VERY RESPONSIVE SO THIS IS A GOOD BASIC PHONE WHERE YOU WOULD DO ALL OTHER THINGS WITH A KEY PAD YOU USE TOUCH AND HANCE THE NAME TOUCH SCREEN. Now however, I love it, I'm used to the way the texting work and I prefer the touchscreen option to the keypad. The camera takes brilliant pictures. Generally it's quite fast and the internet browser is easy to use. Disadvantages: Battery life isn't bad when only texting/calling but when using the internet you have to charge it regularly, I think it would benefit from a stylus as sometimes it is tricky to press the right thing as the screen is quite small. CPW should be aware of this by now and if buying on 02 will change settings for you as will an 02 shop. The other major issue I have with it is that I got this phone because it synced with Outlook - unfortunately it only sync's 15 characters of tasks and appointments so it's totally and utterly useless!! Not only that appointments don't display in time order - they appear in the order they were entered in Outlook so you have to read the whole list to make sure you're not missing something! Reviewed by Dee UK on 26/11/2009 I've had this phone for four days now and am just looking to see if the problems that I'm having are just down to me being picky: apparently not. My biggest problem is with the sound quality. I'm assuming that I just need a replacement as only some people are having sound issues, but the quality is sometimes like listening to a bad mp3 at full-volume, which hurts my ear. I've gone from the U900 Soul to this and, though the camera is better and it's a bit more swish, this phone has problems that the old one didn't; why are Samsung going backwards? I was initially really irritated by the apostrophe just being in a stupid place when texting, but that's something that I can deal with. Why I can't change theme, just the wallpaper, was mind boggling until I found sites that sell theme downloads. Also, I haven't yet found if I can access my phonebook during a call. Again, it's one of those things that isn't a massive deal, but when you're going from a lower model that could do these things, or if you've paid the amount that people seem to be paying, these little irritants shouldn't exist. The battery life is standard Samsung, which means that it's fine until you need to make a call or play a game. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of fully touchscreen phones, so there aren't really any new phones that I'd swap it for. I'll see if the sound problem is just my handset being faulty but maybe hang onto my U900 just in case I can't hack the 24 months. Rating:

As a new person to touch screen but not to samsung, I found it very frustrating that when I wanted to go into one application something different came up. Reviewed by Alex Anderson on 19/11/2009 After reading all the reviews on here I was quite sceptic as to whether texting would be an issue however I have found this phone to be no harder to use than any other. If you dont use predictive text - like me - then most of Dan Searle's issue with this phone will not affect you at all. To people who want to scroll through their text message to change a character, etc, if you press and hold for about a second on the screen where your text is, 4 arrows will appear enabling you to scroll easily through. The camera is brillaint however the on-board memory is to be desired - now I've got my 8gb memory card thats no problem :). Also I find that my battery life is quite short, and I have to charge it every night, but to be fair I have only had my phone 2 days and I do play on it a lot! The sliding mechanism is a dream to use - when I was looking at a new phone my other choice was a Nokia N97 - however I thought the hinge on the NOkia would break and reviews on this website are much worse for the Nokia than the Samsung. Good little phone, especially if you're a girl! Rating:
Reviewed by bib on 18/11/2009 I'm not sure why this phone has such good reviews, its rubbish! This is truly the worst phone I have ever had! the main reasons - 1) the lock does not work well, so if you are used to throwing in and out of pocket/bag - it will unlock. 2) If on O2 the software needs to be updated, as will cut out in mid conversation - very very annoying - means backing up entire phone online, waste of time. I haven't had time to do it yet and don't even know if it works. 3) no wifi 4) rubbish texting and spell check. 5) photo viewing is annoying some features you can side scroll and some you have to screen scroll. argh. ALso the calender widget seems to be stuck in 1980 and won't update - perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Somehow I managed to turn the volume down to zilch whilst messing about but thats now sorted! I have a Nokia now which I find much easier to use.I found the touch screen very annoying. If you are making a call and need to press numbers for a switchboard you have to take the phone away from your ear to do it and some of the contact numbers were hard to get as you the touch screen is really sensitive. There were some really cool features such as the camera which switches round automatically which ever way you are taking the picture and the screen was nice and big. I have read some of the reviews and in nearly everyone, people are saying your call goes dead for a few seconds and then comes back on and I have just realised my phone does that too but only for a few seconds and it's really not a major problem. I have not been able to make or receive one phone call without the phone cutting out during calls. I have been back to Phones 4U and O2 who suggested putting my SIM card into a different phone. I have done this & had no problems making calls so its clearly the handset which is the problem and after reading other people's reviews, it seems getting another handset will not help. Maybe this is a handset problem, or maybe a problem with O2? Either way, i am very tempted to throw mine in the bin as i cannot stand a further 21 months of this! And to add to my fury, i got a £114 bill last month apparently for 'downloads' yet i have only browsed the net probably 5 days since having the phone and it clearly states in the manual no matter how long you use the net, only wil only get charged a maximum of £1 per day. My first touch screen phone, I find it pretty good, better than earlier LGs. Camera is good, but the way it stores photos is irritating. Phone is generally easy to navigate and user friendly. I do have to agree with people about the txting. Even with the keypad its not the easiest. "I'm" is not available to write at all, and any words you save in the dictionary then become first choice when using predictive txt (MOT, FOS etc), and even some words that arent words - "On't" for example! Generally I like the phone, but the best bit is that its RELIABLE, my last 2 Sony Ericcsons have been so awful, this phone has not let me down, no matter how many times I drop it. It doesnt freeze or crash. Thats why I like it. Rating:

Firstly, this is my first experience with the sumsung tocco's so I am not aware of some of the changes to the texting... however what I do experience which is the most annoying of all, (as I've now gotten used to the first annoyance of texting which dan mentioned) is the fact that when you start texting in predictive, simple words like: and, get, all... for a start, i haven't added any new words to my phone, but my phone has decided to invent its own new words.. instead of and, i get Ame.. instead of get i get Ift... all is Alk for a start, why in the world has it done that? is there any way of deleting added words to this phone because thats the only thing I'm getting frustrated with. these words just randomly appeare from nowhere.. I don't know if any one else is having this problem, or if it's been a problem in all the other tocco phones but is there any way of deleting these made up words? Other than that, I've not really had much of an issue with my phone.. its my first touch screen and yea I'll agree with previous posts that its a little slow and the browser is quite rubbish and small, but its an alright phone really. Reviewed by Angela B - Telford, UK on 29/10/2009 Only my second Samsung phone - I've been a Sony Ericsson user for as long as I can remember. It's taking some getting used to purely because I'm used to my familiar Sony, but for my needs there's not much to dislike. I love the look of it. I love the touch screen for texting. The widgets can be useful as shortcuts. I hate the fact that the user manual is so non-descript. I've found it more useful to search the net for tips and instructions than the manual provided. I too was frustrated at the apparent inability to cursor back a space when trying to correct a text, but thank you to "Tocco from Australia" for pointing out that if I hold my finger on the screen for a few seconds, lo - arrows appear - I can't see that in the manual anywhere! Likewise with the birthday widget - I had to find out about that from the internet. Come on...useful manuals please. I love fiddling around with a new gadget, but not to the point that I have to trawl the net to get basic useful functions explained. It's taken me long enough to work out how to change ringtones/volume/key sounds etc due to lack of instruction. Love the camera quality. No problem it seems with sound quality - other than the fact that I had to turn the volume down considerably as initially it sounded as though I had calls on loud speaker. My phone seems quite responsive to touch, although my daughter had hers the same day and compared to mine hers does seem a little slower. I like it so far. A little broader than the phones I've been used to having, but a snazzy phone. Rating:

One big difference I did notice is that the touch interface is much much better on the Tocco Lite. The Cookie (which one retailer told me they had had several returned due to being faulty) I found slow and sometimes unresponsive, where the Tocco Lite's screen responds instantly to a natural, gentle touch. Reviewed by Colette McLister on 28/10/2009 I upgraded to this phone from the Tocco. I absolutely love this phone to bits. The camera is excellent, with or without the flash and the widgets just make everything so much easier because it saves you having to navigate through the entire menu. A great time saving phone. The touch screen does take getting used to but once I got used to it I found everything, especially predictive texting, was fantastic. For those who were annoyed with the punctuation mark issue (T9 changes the word etc) select the word you want from the drop down list and then add your punctuation. Still very quick and easy once you realise this! This phone is very light, slim and fits in my jeans pocket brilliantly I sometimes forget its there! The only thing that let me down was the battery life but that was remedied by turning off the phone sounds and vibration (which I dont like anyway). The one thing I think this phone could've done without was the slide out key pad. Its hard to hold the phone and text with it all in one hand. Overall, for people who arent sure about touch screen phones shouldnt get this phone unless they're willing to learn and get to grips with it. A much better version than its predicessor the Tocco. A fantastic phone! Rating:

Reviewed by Nat Cole on 25/10/2009 Had my Tocco Ultra for around 5 months and most of the issues have already been mentioned below. Predictive text and adding new words is a painful experience and I still haven't worked out how to add "I'll" and "I've" to the dictionary. My previous Motorola V8 had the intelligent apostrophe option built in and worked well. Camera quality is great but why no Xenon flash on such a high end camera phone? After having my first hanset nicked whilst on a train, 2 replacements have both had minor issues. Latest one seems to have intermittent problems with the photo tagged calling option with randomly missing tags rendering the facility useless. This functionality is handy when calling hands free as Samsung seem to think that voice command dialling is no longer waranted and it enabled a quick and obvious way of calling folk without having to try and read a contact list when on the move. After backing up the phone from the PC studio software, it has seen fit to duplicate all the entries in the contacts list. To summarise, the phone feels and looks great and has some really good features but is let down by small ommissions or inclusions which have been designed into the software by cretins who obviously never use a mobile camera phone. Finally, battery life is abysmal and you're lucky to get a days useage out of it on standby unless you turn off the 3G and/or Bluetooth. Rating:

As soon as I attach the phone to the PC via the USB cable provided in the box, a pop-up message comes up asking for a "mobile USB modem 1.0" which won't get loaded from the provided CD. I've tried the downloaded copy of the same files (New_PC_Studio_1.2.1.IH1.exe) from Samsungs own site and tried loading that, but still it doesn't work. So until they fix that software, there's no easy and practical way of using the camera or trying to put music onto the phone (you can add a MicroSD card of any size as there are no actual limits to what it will see - cost is the only barrier there - and you can copy stuff over to the card whilst it is separately attached to a PC, or copy photos from it) but its just not practical. They have had a good few months to fix the software but haven't bothered, so I would steer clear of this phone if I had the choice again. Rating:

I am on o2 who would have made me take out another expensive contract and not given me google maps. As it is I have stayed on Simplicity and got a great phone with this application. Carphone warehouse have very poor customer service, but it is made up for by the fact they can sell phones like this at silly prices. I have been told that SIM free phones bought direct from manufacturers work better without the locking software which networks put on. Big mistake and have now gone back to my old faithful K800i. Maybe I'm just too used to the K800, I just couldn't get on with the Tocco Lite. I have tried over the last week of having it but can't get on with the touch screen scrolling, continually selecting something instead of scrolling, texting isnt the easiest of things unless u turn it to get the QWERTY keyboard, but then u have to hold with one hand and type with the other. THe slide out portion is bulky enough that its not going to break, and they keys are pretty easy to use if you dont have huge fingers. The quality of the aplications is excellent, as is the camera although the flash does not live up to the quality of the lens. The only thing that has bothered me is that it has started to save my messages to the memory card and I have no idea why. The combination of touch and slide truely is special; this with the other main features, having decent connectivity, a top range camera and neat internet connection puts this phone amongst any other phone currently available. I concur, however smaller aspects of the phone do play to my nerves. On buying the phone you need to read the manuel, it took me a while to get used to basic features. the touch can be frustrating and the buttons are not for those with the thickest of fingers. Reviewed by Peter on 26/09/2009 I bought this phone because I wanted a reasonably priced large screen, touch screen phone that I could use to download EMails onto whilst abroad. I also wanted something with good battery capacity. Initially I had trouble setting up the Email facility because there is an error in the Email Set-up Wizard on the phone which causes it to insert the incorrect Username format for O2 mail users. I got around this by going onto the O2 website and finding the corrrect format and now I have done this it works fine. I have found the phone to be great to use with a good response from the touch screen making the entering of data or typing of messages very easy. The battery capacity is nothing short of oustanding with it lasting nearly 2 weeks on standby with light usage without a charge. The volume from the earpiece is very loud on full volume meaning that I don't need to use the loudspeaker even for calls shared with people nearby. As an O2 customer, I have not experienced any dropped calls or audio cutting out as reported in the main review. Mike B's solution is not valid anyway because there is no no path:- Menu - Applications - O2 - Get Settings on the phone. I think you would have to get to the O2 website and get them to send the new settings to your phone. Internet is a bit slow, but it's not a 3G phone, so I wasn't expecting any more at this price. Best phone I have owned for the money. Rating:

MP3 player: Tocco win, the sound quality is better, the player more responsive and it lists aac encoded albums in the correct order. (The Cookie didn't). Looks: Tocco win, the shiny finish looks better than the matte finish of the Cookie. It does collect scuff marks on the back though. Sensitivity: Cookie win, so far I've got the impression that the Cookie has an advantage here. Firmware. Tocco win, the Cookie was released with a dreadful OS that crashed several times a day and drained the battery. LG expected you to mail the phone to a service centre for a firmware update. Reviewed by Paul Kirk on 26/09/2009 This is one fantastic piece of phone hardware! I bought this phone as a replacement for an HTC Touch HD that has been returned for repair/replacement. I've only had the Tocco Lite for 2 days but what a difference 2 days makes. Compared to the HTC Touch HD this phone works. Works in nearly every area that the HTC fails. It's smaller than the HTC. It weighs less, a lot less, than the HTC. The touchscreen on the Tocco Lite works and responds when touched...unlike the HTC. The Tocco Lite battery is outstanding - granted I've only had the phone for 2 days but it's still got 2/5 bars life - the HTC wouldn't have lasted a day (and that's after spending much of the first 2 days adding contacts, downloading images and generally playing with the handset). Call quality one both handsets is good - about the only good thing that can be said about the HTC. The earphones supplied with the Tocco Lite are appalling - but get an adapter and plug in a decent set of earphones and you'l l find the Tocco Lite's media player is great. Initial results from the camera are good, at least much better than the HTC. A friend of mine swears by HTC - I can only swear AT them. The Tocco Lite is a fantastic piece of kit and value for money. Reviewed by Karl on 19/09/2009 Nice phone very stylish and a good solid feel to it. But there are just a couple of negative points I would like to make. There are some pictures on the phone of flowers, (Not quite my cup of tea), when I lock the screen these pictures appear randomly. I have tried to remove these pictures without success, so I phoned Samsungs technical support and was told they can't be removed. (Just Brill). The other point is battery life is very poor, (worst I have ever seen), On standby lasts a few days, when I use the features it won't last the day. Having to charge the phone every night. This is my second Samsung phone after returning the pixon for the same poor performance. This has put me right off having another Samsung in the future. Rating:

Reviewed by Lynne on 17/09/2009 I've had this phone for five days now and i'm sick of it already, i always use samsung but this is the first one ive not liked. The touchscreen is a pain in the arse, it's either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. The alarm basically just chooses what day it wants to wake me up, resulting in me being late for work. Why is this happening?? I leave the alarm set the same everyday with autopower on but it just won't work on certain days, even though it's set to work mon-fri?! I now have a box on the main screen saying 'no events', and for the life of me i can't figure out why it's there or how to get rid of it. If anyone knows how to get rid of this message please tell me. Also, when i play videos, it plays them the wrong way up, so when i turn the phone around, it flips the opposite way, so i basically can't watch videos without tilting my head on one side to view it!! The battery is absolutely rubbish and the texting is a nightmare as many of you have already st ated that if you want to go back and add a word in a sentence earlier on in your message, you cant! Or if you can, samsung have made it very difficult to figure out how to do it. If anyone knows how to view videos the right way up or knows the answers to any of my questions then please tell me as i am ready to throw this phone out of the window. Im stuck with it for 18months now and it's completely useless to me. If anyones thinking of getting this phone, don't bother because it will annoy the life out of you! Rating:

The phone looks stunning and quality of build feels good, it has an ok camera but cant see a difference in quality from my previous 5mp. The whole things pretty simply laid out but to use it is frustrating...the widgets come up when you dont want them too (too sensitive?) and when you want to touch a certain thing another comes up if you dont get it spot on. Overall i was liking this phone but and its a big BUT....the voice calls did it for me...the quality is absolutely terrible and as i use the phone for more voice calls than text this is very important, i can not hear people properly as they sound slightly muffled with vibrating like sounds (the word i need to discribe it is on the tip of my tongue!) if i turn the volume down it gets better but then i cant hear all they say...so turn it up and i feel like my ear is going to explode....i hate hate hate this phone.....I am going back to get a nokia n86 Rating:

Reviewed by Richard on 12/09/2009 I have had this phone now for several months and have had absolutely no problems with it. I don't know where the complainers are getting their phone from but I got mine from Carphone Warehouse. It has never 'unlocked' itself in my pocket, it has never 'cut out' on a call (must be a network issue...I'm on T-Mobile), battery life is excellent (I go for days without charging it), very easy to txt on, it has never 'frozen'. A very good touch screen phone at a very reasonable price. Rating:
Reviewed by Deb on 12/09/2009 OK this is not a technical review - just my observations ... I got this phone nearly 2 weeks ago on PAYG with O2 (direct off their website), having been a fan of Sony Ericssons mainly since falling out of favour with Nokia some years ago, i was attracted by the price and the fact that it was a touch-screen. Its got some good features, and some not-so-good. I find the scrolling through contacts awkward and seem to be repeatedly dialling people I don't want to despite using the scroll bar on the side of the screen. Also although the camera is 3mp I find that unless your subject is absolutely still, the pics don't come out particularly well (yes, I KNOW, if I want decent pics, get a camera - and I HAVE - an Olympus 12mp but don't always have it with me!!, also there's no flash which would have been useful on a phone of this spec). I'm having difficulty uploading pics to my pc even after installing the software on the disk which accompanied the phone. Not particula rly user friendly. Bought a memory card off Play.com with a card reader/usb dongle and find that's easier!! The "favourite" contacts is a good idea, which can be set on the screen with a widget, and I haven't had any problems with calls cutting out; not had problems with the lock button (mentioned in an earlier review) - I keep it in a case to protect it from all the other paraphernalia in my bag! Texting a bit of a bind sometimes as the space key is next to the language key and I keep changing that in error - especially when texting quickly using T9 as the screen is really responsive. Generally easy to operate, clear screen, (novelty of changing font didn't last long though)! For the reviewer who asked about adding words to T9 dictionary, scroll through all the options given for your word first, and then you get an option to "add word" - et voila! Overall a nice phone - jury's still out on whether I prefer it to my trusty SE and as I'm not tied into a contract, I may well go back to SE if they bring out a more appealing phone .... I'm only giving this 3 stars because of the "niggles" above and because I've got 3 more days to decide whether I'm keeping it!! Rating:

LG should stick to their TV's and shiz because they generally fail at budget phones. TOCCO FTW. Rating:
Reviewed by Paul on 11/09/2009 The thing that really bugs me about the phone is the silly single key press to unlock the phone. The lock/unlock button is on the side of the phone and sticks out slightly. Consequently, silent calls / surfing of internet occur because the phone becomes accidently unlocked in your pocket. I've yet to try all it's functions out such as the music player and radio etc, hopefully they'll be better than camera and internet. I bought the phone from Carphone Warehouse, another word of warning, if you buy from said mobile phone outlet and put your SIM card in the handset and use it, they will then refuse to take it back. Be warned! I will be writing to them to complain and I personally will never buy anything from Carphone Warehouse again. The phone's ok, battery life is good, but like I said, avoid it if you want anything more than a touch screen phone and to be honest the novelty of that is wearing off. Rating:

Reviewed by lorraine on 10/08/2009 I bought the Tocco lite last Friday. Couldn't get on to the web so called 02 & spoke to a numty who tried to fob me off saying this phone wasn't on his list. Called back on Saturday & spoke to someone very helpful who told me that 02 do not support this handset on pay & go!! Funny-Carphone Warehouse (yep-you guessed it)didn't tell me this when they took my £110.00! Any way the nice man from 02 said we'd have to set the browser manually. After 23 minutes we had no luck so he advised me to return the phone to the Carphone Warehouse and purchase it from an 02 shop instead. I phoned Carphone Warehouse-if you've bought from them in the past you know after care service is not their strong point! Anyway I was just going in to a few screens on Saturday evening and pressed the browser icon & lo and behold got on to the 02 web! So I am at the moment keeping the phone. Sadly it is a bit technical for me and if I could go back a week I'd have bought something a bit more basic. Having said that the texting is very easy and having the qwerty board has helped. And these were the people who sold me the phone!!! Other issues - battery cuts out quickly, very little time to plug in charger, esp if you're not sure wher it goes on the first try. The alarm is annoying too. I've noticed networks pushing this phone, advertisements etc but if you look on independent sites eg dialaphone, it's often to be founf in the clearance section. Was gonna get the now 'outdated' LG Viewty because of it's quality camera (including video camera)but opted for the Samsung instead. This little gem oozes quality, and the design engineers at Samsung should take a bow! Clear layout, straightforward and easy to setup and navigate the many menu's and features. Sturdy build quality, if a little 'slippy'(watch out here!)Attaching a strap should help. I especially love the 'retro' type dials when setting date and time/timers etc. Feels like the real thing when vibration is enabled - neat design indeed! This phone has a great screen - even small text is clear and sharp. Basic phone operations like dialing and texting work a treat - fast and responsive. Camera produces acceptable shots, especially outdoors in good lighting. Perfectly ok for standard size prints or viewing standard size. Indoor shots don't work so well unfortunately - but then again there's no flash or autofocus to help here! Video clips are very basic indeed - they look and sound ok played back on the phone but don't look great when viewed on PC screen. Adequate for YouTube uploads possibly! All in all this is a great phone, considering what you get for your money. It has everything that most people would want, and the basics like texting and dialling work well (once you get used to touchscreen). I look at this new phone with all it can do, and think of not that long ago when I bought my very first mobile phone with tiny mono 3 line display, and very basic phone only functions... how times have changed!! Reviewed by Kat. on 19/07/2009 Well what can i say.. This phone is amazing! First of all, i am very surprised to see how many people are getting cut off on conversations. Luckilly this doesn't happen to me, maybe because i'm on vodafone? Idk. But anyway, the phone is very smart, and the touchscreen is brilliant! Most of all the battery life; absolutely amazing! The lock is good aswell; i don't use the button at the side to lock/unlock mine, it's done via the screen, so it's not likely to accidentally catch it in you pocket as you have to keep your finger on a certain area of the screen to unlock it again. Mine's the black lite. Stunning! Great price too. I have absolutely no complaints. I struggled with the t9 on the texting at first, then i saw there is a t9 abc and a t9; one, in which finds most the words via the dictionary (still t9, however one of the t9's doesn't find every word. so annoying) I reccomend this phone, deffo. Reviewed by n/a on 19/07/2009 I absolutly love this phone however i am worried about the reviews due to i purchased the phone from carphone warhouse. I haven't had any trouble with the calling yet however i am on orange network not O2. One issue i am having with the phone is i have over 200 songs and when i select a song it plays another. I took all the songs of and put them back on then replyed all the ones which didn't work. They worked perfect however songs which worked before are now playing a differnt song. This fault is quite frustrating however i don't want to take it back due to i love how the phone is set and and so easy to use. It is also alot better than the cookie x Rating:

I bought it on pay as you go and had constant problems with the audio (whenever i called anyone they would not be able to hear me). This happened when i used both my 02 and t-mobile sim! I took it back to carphone warehouse where they would not refunded it as they said its not classfied as a fault?! After arguing for 2hours i finally got my money back! Reviewed by Cat on 17/07/2009 Bought 2 tocco lites from CPW, one has been back 3 times for cutting out fault reported below (is an O2 sim card as well). They would not refund me for a 2 week old phone because the original was bought more than 28 days ago! Horrendous, but the other one appears to be working ok and I love it, the call quality is clear the ringtones are really loud (which is what I wanted) and the touch screen is fab. I would recommend this phone but be extra careful if you are on O2. 3 stars given due to problems with other phone. Rating:

Reviewed by J.Lall on 16/07/2009 I've owned this phone now for approx a month and I must admit I'm still very happy with it. The one great thing about this phone is that it is a touchscreen phone but still quite light and small especially when compared to other touch screen phones. Also it does not look cheap at all, if anything most people who have seen the phone have been impressed with just how smart it looks. While it may not be as responsive or filled with apps like the IPhone or other high end phones it still does a very good job. About the only 2 criticisms I have the phone is: 1) No 3G or WI-Fi 2) There are a limited selection of themes on the phone However that being said I still think this is a truly wonderful phone Rating:

Reviewed by Rob D on 11/07/2009 I've had this phone 3 weeks from dial a phone on O2. Similiar problems to others ie; calls cutting out although you can hear the other person and the touch screen is unresponsive in different applications and scrolling. Currently sending back to see if another handset will be better. Not good. Rating:
Reviewed by Mike B on 11/07/2009 This is my 2nd review, and I MIGHT have a solution for O2 users. As I previously wrote, I have had the 'silent microphone' problem with my Tocco Lite on O2. Try going to Menu - Applications - O2 - Get Settings. Install the settings you are sent and reset the phone. Since I did that, and received the settings for PAYG from O2 I haven't had any problems with calls, (at least for the last 2 days). Hope it helps ! Rating:
