I've had this phone for 3 months now and I've got mixed opinions. The camera is good but only in the day. If you take picture when you're out at night then they come out blurred which was a bit disappointing. Also, if you like to use predictive text and you don't already have a samsung then I don't think this phone is a good idea. Using any punctuation is a nightmare- If anyone can tell how to put in the word ' I'm ' please tell me. The touch screen is easy to use but a little slow when low on battery. Overall quite good except the texting.

Well, I received my Samsung Pixon Pink on Thursday. It was an upgrade and it sounded like my sort of phone. I've changed from the LG Viewty - so i am already pretty au fait with touch screen phones but i must admit the pixon does take some getting used to. First the bad points - in T9 texting you cannot get an apostrophe - I have tried everything and cannot get one! You have to change it to using the qwerty keyboard which is a little annoying. Also the T9 dictionary doesn't seem to store the words you add. The phone book is also a little annoying - you either have to scroll through every name or use the little tab thing to do to a letter, but its kinda tricky to get used to - only had it 3 days, so i'm sure i'll get used to it. Now the good points - this is an awesome phone - the camera is excellent, as you would expect from an 8m pixel, the sound quality is fab, and you can customise the phone completely - even assigning different text tones for different ppl - something i've wanted for ages! There are so many little gadgets on here that i haven't really played with yet, but on the whole i would recommend this phone - just give yourself a few days to get used to it esp. if you've never had a touch screen phone before! The only other thing is, i can't get delivery reports on the phone as the options are greyed out - think this may be an orange issue rather than a samsung issue so will haveto speak to them. Overall a classy, nice looking and feeling functional and fun phone that i can see myself enjoying for quite a while!

Brilliant phone. The camera is excellent, the phone's tough and rugged. Not to mention it's good looking and won't make you look like a 'fadder' by going with an iPhone. It's superior, if not on a par, with any smart-phone on the market. It's user-friendly and does everything exceedingly well. My first Samsung and I'm very impressed. Highly recommended.

The phone is great. It was a toss up between the i-phone and the pixxon for me. So glad I went with the Pixxon. I have read reviews saying you dont get ID with text messages even if the person is in your contact list...dont know where that come from I have no trouble. Also people have mentioned you cant customise message tone, again thats wrong you can. only negative as mentioned above is the battery I get about 2 days in between charging but how hard is it to put your phone on charge at night time.

Just had to comment on my new phone, got it yesterday and am slightly obsessed with it! I really really like it and can see myself getting used to the touch screen side of it very quickly. Ok it is a bit slow to text but at the moment the novelty factor is making that not an issue! I have attached the pointer to the bottom of the phone with the loop so can just use it when I want and no worried about losing it. The phone is quite slim, it's easy to get on the internet (I've got it free in my deal) and it takes great pictures - what more could you want?!

There's too many irritating things about this phone to make it worth buying. Texting - nightmare. Fiddly and will take forever to master. The predictive text is awful. Buttons - Button on the side that serves no purpose other than shortcuts to things u already have shortcuts to on the screen. More annoying that you can't change these! Touchscreen - smudgy and unresponsive at times, if it's a sunny day then forget about it as you can't see a thing! Lock key - on the side which pretty much means when you put the phone in ur pocket it unlocks and will unlock itself with hardly a touch! I was really excited about this phone at first but it's just a pain and so hard to get used to. Nokia's all the way!

Then My Battery Died And My Phone Started Making A Buzzing Noise While It Was Off. Then My Touch Screen Buttons Never Worked. Its Now Back In The Shop Getting Fixed. I Miss It =(

I got this phone in march and I LOVE IT! Im locked in contract til march 2011, but do you know what? Im going to keep it til i die, its great! Although, i wonder if its just me, since i got bluetoothed a song that didnt work (it wont play things downloaded illegally from youtube!) it completely froze it, so you have to take out the battery, which is hardly a problem, but since then, whenever i turn my phone off, all the settings get reset, is there any way to fix that, does anyone know? That aside, it is my fourth phone, second samsung, and i will love it forever! BUY ONE! lol

I did a swap with my wife - she had my Nokia N95 8GB, I took her Pixon! I love the qwerty pad when texting (I use the stylus instead of my chubby fingers!). I have found, however, that characters can repeat themselves instead of the one you think you tapped, ie instead of a space you duplicate the last letter of the previous word. I love the camera; still getting used to the different settings, you have to experiment, especially on indoor pics, but I took some excellent shots of a stage show in a local theatre from row J! I agree about screen protectors - they are essentialif you don't want long score marks from top to bottom of your screen. The music player is ok, but not up to the standard of a Sony Ericsson, and not as loud as my old N95 My only major gripe, as Lee has said below, is the phone lock. This unlocks with the gentlest of pushes, and does so regularly in my pocket! My niece has a 4 minute answerphone message of me talking to a workmate; this could have been very embarrassing had it been a more confidential conversation. Using a quality case alleviates this problem, and I echo a previous reviewer who recommends using one. This is the best Samsung I've ever had. That being said, my wife hated it! One mans meat is another mans poisin, I suppose!

An absolute Marvale, Well done Samsung. This is one of the best phones I have ever owned. The screen is big, the camera is pixel perfect and the phone seems reliable (since I've had it). It's a shame about the phone not having wifi, but I have an ipod touch so I don't really care. With a full virtual QWERTY keyboard and support for divx movies, I couldn't ask for anything else. Again, Well done Samsung!

after deliberating long and hard i opted for the pixon..and im not disappointed In a nutshell its the best phone ive ever had(and ive had a few!) So easy to use..texting etc and a brilliant camera! The only small gripe i have is with the battery life..the phone was already on gsm 900/1800 as suggested on here so HOW do you turn 3g off? Would also mention its slightly bigger and heavier than other new phones on the market but to me thats a plus not a minus..feels like a proper phone Would recommend to anyone!

Excellent phone!! Had this mobile for about a month now and absolutely love it. I must admit to being a bit wary due to some of the reviews I had read below concerning battery life but following recommendations to turn off vibration I now find I'm getting 3 or 4 days use withourt re-charging which to me is as good as my previous Sony Ericsson. Being on an unlimited web package I find the web browser to be fast and addictive and had no problems with download speed etc. I must admit to still having a problem setting my email function up when trying to incorporate a Hotmail account - anyone have any ideas? apart from this I think Samsung have come out with an excellent model which I have no intention changing before the end of my 18 month contract. If you're considering this phone, I would highly recommend it.

got this from phones 4 u web sales. phone is free and £25 a month on orange dolphin 35 (usually £35 a month). bit of a bargain i reckon. overall i like it but there are a few annoying things:1 selecting a contact from phone book is fiddly but you can save some as favourites which helps.2 there are no themes.3 you cant change the screen savers they provide so your stuck with girly flowers and stuff like that.4 screen lock can easily be pressed when in your pocket making it "live" so be careful you may call someone without realising.(you can put phone lock on though which will help).5 some of the choices on menu screen are a bit odd- ebay? music store? etc. i will never be using them, probably somethings orange altered. i still think the good points outweigh the bad though and i would recommend this phone.

Had this phone 24hours. Feels Cheap to hold and use, lots of side button noise. Screen lock button is pointless as it turns on/off in your pocket. Battery life is terrible. Camera is no better than that of the K850i. Touch screen is OK but not as smooth as id like. Rubbish selection method in Phone book. Menu's look boring with the white background. Symbols up the top are straight out of the 80's. Im sending this phone back and looking at something else. Come on Samsung, you can do better than this surely!!!!!!

I love this phone. It takes a little while (1 week or so) to get used to it, especially if it's your first touchscreen. The camera is fantastic (it does have a close-up macro as well as lots of other options). The screen is great. My phone also came with a 8GB micro-SD card which is going to be very handy! Initially I found it hard to add apostrophes when texting in T9 mode, they're available in QWERTY mode, and in the symbol menu but don't come up on the alpha-numeric keyboard. I've now used the QWERTY mode to save a range of words with apostrophes to the dictionary and that has solved the problem. People often mention the lock button on this phone.. but I've bought a leather pouch (designed for the iPhone) which holds this phone nicely and my phone stays locked. I've had no trouble with the screen, and I find the touchscreen really responsive.. although I haven't tried the handwriting feature.

Ive had this phone a few days now, im a great fan of samsung phones, my latest phone being the g600, but needed to upgrade so chose the Pixon. First impressions were excellent, but the more i use it, the more annoying it gets. First of all the battery life is very poor, it needs charging every day if you have been doing anything on the phone. Then there's the screen savers, which i have to add can not be changed!, it would be fine if they were cool pictures but not everybody wants flowers appearing on their screens all the time. The keypad lock is the worst i have ever come across, why didnt samsung style it like the Omnia?!, to lock this phone it uses a hold button, which is most cases would be fine, but you dont have to hold it to unlock the phone, you merely touch it and the phone unlocks! Very annoying. The phone doesnt have GPS but you can download Google Maps but at your cost. The phonebook uses a scroll system, not practical at all, theres no search feature, its very annoying. As for the calendar, you can only enter schedules, what happened to the appointments, memos, tasks and to do features, you cant even enter peoples birthdays properly. All in all the phone is ok, but samsung have not done a good job on the basic functions.
