Reviewed by Rob on 26/11/2009 Look, it's a good user friendly phone at a very fair price. The best thing that can be said for the Jet is that it is very user friendly. OK, like everything else it takes a bit of getting used to, but after a couple of days all the functions are straight foward and easy to navigate. The screen is good, the browser is good, the camera is good. However, I was hoping for a bit more. I was torn between this phone and the HERO, and really regret the choice I made. My girlfriend also got a BLACKBERRY CURVE on a similar deal, and what that lacks in usability it more than makes up for in features, particularly with the apps. There are lots of similar rival phones on the market, all have positives and negatives, and the Jet certainly does everything QUITE well. But if the i-phone is just out of reach, look at blackberry or HTC instead. Or failing that get an i-touch and a cheaper handset. Rating:
Reviewed by Krishnakumar on 26/11/2009 I brought the sell 1 week before. When checked the head phone clarity its too poor and also music out put from the phone (believe speakers is not good or my mobile has some problem). If i put phone in speaker mode while making a call it gives very bad output (sound clarity is too bad. Need to check other features. Rating:
Reviewed by Jojo on 26/11/2009 I haven't had my Jet for very long, but I am just so impressed with it! I was very apprehensive about upgrading to a full touch phone, as I am an avid texter, but I am pleaseantly surprised with Samsung's Jet. The qwerty keypad is pretty good (I make no more mistakes than with a physical keypad) and it seems to anticipate which letter you are going for when in the predictive T9 mode. I like that the normal key pad is also an option, as is the handwriting recognition. So texters, give it a go! For a resistive screen, it is very responsive, and to be honest, I'm not sure that I want a phone that is super sensitive to the touch, I like that there is a small amount of pressure needed, makes me feel like I am the one in control. I like the option of widgets, but I don't think I'll use them very much at all, but that is a personal thing. Sound quality is pretty good, and the voice clarity is also good. Although the calling volume does not appear to be as loud as my previous Samsung G600, I don't see it as a massive problem. I like the little fancy bits, such as laying the phone flat turns on the speaker when on a call, you can have a muti-conference phone call if you wish, the motion sensor is a nice bonus once you get the hang of it. The camera is good, and I love the smile detection option for taking photos! There are a few niggles, as I'm sure there are in any phone. It is fast, though it does lag at times, but it doesn't bother me as it is nothing compared to my previous. Sometimes it does take more than once to press something, but who cares. I'd rather push something a few times and get it right, than accidently push the wrong thing! Lastly, it is NOT a smart phone and it does not actually claim to be...it claims to be AS GOOD AS. Also, if you want an iPhone, a smart phone or a capacitive phone, go out and buy one!! Rating:
Reviewed by Mark on 25/11/2009 If you turn the brightness down the battery will last a lot longer. I was going to return it becuase of this but it lasts for ages now. I'm no spotter when it comes to phones but i think the jet is quality. If you want to download applications then look elsewhere as Samsung haven't included the jet in the Application store AS YET. Video is excellent as is the camera and downloading and watching movies is first class. The Music player is second to none. As i'm not fussed with games i would rather this phone to the I-Phone. It is faster than the I-Phone on picking up the internet as i've tested this on a number of occasions. Nice size, not to big. Rating:

Reviewed by aaron arman on 20/11/2009 i think it was a standard touch screen phone, nothing special to it at all! and returned it after 2 days and started using my old nokia n95 8gb which is 10 times better than that piece of rubbish ! Rating:
Reviewed by Adam R on 20/11/2009 Hey, I'm not sure if any of you have found this yet but to save pictures from the web browser press and hold on the screen as if you want to enable the one finger zoom, then quickly press the icon that appears that looks like a list or page. There is a save option there! I'm having massive problems with the T9 preferring random characters when writing a text. Other than that, great phone. Rating:
Reviewed by Lawrence on 20/11/2009 I have the Samsung JET. I'm not particularly found of it, and everytime i go to answer it i seem to put the caller on hold by pressing the buttons on the side. Can anyone please help me by telling me how i can change the activation keys so this does not happen? Kind Regards Rating:

Reviewed by Alex Stewart on 18/11/2009 Got this phone last week on vodafone , well im not going to say this is a rubbish phone cos its NOT , its a cracker of a phone . The only issue i have with the phone is that when you want to forward on a funny text to your friends it only lets you send 10 CONTACTS at one time WHICH too me is a let down as i love texting , but apart from that CAMERA is great , working of phone is good so if you like this phone get it . Reviewed by Cassie on 12/11/2009 Love my SECOND Jet, Had problems with the first Jet because the battery didn't even last two days on Standby. Carphone Warehouse were familiar with this. The phone's been replaced, and so far, no problems at all. My battery lasting four days. I don't use every feature, but the three screen widgets are a great help. The screen size and image , brightness and resolution are excellent. The speed of the phone is not perfect but very acceptable depending on how much you load onto the memory. Nothing bad to say about it. Best phone I've owned. My partner has a Nokia 5800? And I still think mine is better. Just wondering whether the Facebook App costs money to use or not. Rating:
Reviewed by Rush K on 11/11/2009 For everyday use cant really get any better than the Samsung Jet, in my opinion anyway. Its slim/ good looking and does everything you want it to with an excellent high resolution AMOLED screen(the best ive ever seen on any mobile, and ive had a dozen different new models/makes on contract since 1998!). Getting a new phone has always been something ive looked fwd to and in 2009 i considered many like the Samsung i8910HD, LG Crystal, Tocco Ultra, Sony Erikssons et al and i'm glad i got the Jet. The internet functions are all user friendly, although there are some files it cannot open like pdf attachments which is a bit disappointing. YouTube is great fun too as long as you remember its NOT a laptop, its a phone ok and these applications take longer. The camera/video quality is also exceptional( 5MP; its quality NOT quantity that counts here ok!). The headphones are slick(best ive had) as is the very useful 3.5mm jack(although i havent downloaded any music, just listened to radio; its all there itunes style.Graphics are incredible. The only thing that lets it down is the cheap battery off cover, like a cheap cycle light flip off. Ive put a few notches in it trying to master it! I'm with 3G @ £33/month with 800mins/500txts/unlimited internet so its not cheap if you want the whole package. But hey, it aint a cheap/budget phone. Get it!! Rating:
Reviewed by Jack on 10/11/2009 They dont call it the samsung jet for nothing, it is outstandingly quick, the Wi-Fi and the touch from your finger.I personally perfer this then the i-phone because it has better mega pixels, more memory and also i think it looks better aswell. Outstanding phone!! Rating:
Reviewed by Richard on 09/11/2009 I've had this phone for over a week now & i love it! it is not as intuitive as nokia phones but once you learn your way around it is a joy to use. the screen is awesome, the processor blazingly fast. Font size is very large (if you set it) great for people with poor eyesight. the pc software however "New PC studio" is virtually useless other than syncing contacts. battery life fairly good. i got 6 days on a single charge with light use. Rating:
Reviewed by andrew sloan on 08/11/2009 have had the jet now for 10days and am well pleased with it does what it says on the tin can i find fault with the battery well my provider 3 has talk time of 350 mins and a stand by time of 400 hrs but i use the phone for internet browsing which i find is sore on the batterys so charge the phone on a dailly basis Rating:
Reviewed by kaytee. on 08/11/2009 Had nothing but trouble with this phone! Returned it about 3 times, swapped it once, battery life is absolutely AWFUL. For it to last at least 2 days you can't have Wifi, bluetooth or listen to any music.. The whole purpose why i bought this phone was because of the extremely "fast" internet, the internet browser is great, but not if i can't use it to save the damn battery life! Also scratches really easily, the case it came with is annoying because you can't actually get it out when its in haha..AND you can't see the screen in broad daylight.. This is only my opinion but i would defo avoid this phone. Rating:
Reviewed by Diane on 07/11/2009 I have had this phone for about a week and im absolutely loving it! the camera is very good i especially like the smile detection (it wont take the picture until the person is smiling).I also love the music player , it has very good quality sound- its HD!It also supports divx video playback when i watched a movie on it , the quality was better than my televison. Samsung has done well in making such a great affordable mobile phone! Rating:

Reviewed by John Cardiff on 04/11/2009 Oldie @ 50, was worried about touchie phone but just after a couple of days confidence is booming. You just need to give time for playing. Text predictive system very good but suggest best technique is fingernail end, because otherwise locating editing point is almost impossible. WiFi option means don't after pay for browsing useage. With 3 front page options great for having different clock displays according to country of interest / business. Migrating contacts was a bit messy but doing this via SIM then using PC suite & sync allowed easier editing and actually allowed correction of previous contact data. PC suite gives you a display option for each contact. ENJOY THE NEW TOUCHIE WORLD. Don't go for alternative qwerty slide out options when you can simply rotate this phone to be presented with QWERTY keyboard, but remember to use fingernail end for accuracy. Rating:
Reviewed by Rockin' Ron on 01/11/2009 I think "Disappointed" must have either got a rogue handset or he's on some stupid network like 3. You can adjust the sensitivity by calibrating it. Settings - Phone Settings - Calibration. Just tap the screen as you normally would and the phone stores the sensitivity. Clever, or what? Lots of phones don't come with a memory card to keep the price down and also give you freedom to choose the best size. They're all dead cheap nowadays anyway. Surely all phones need to connect to the internet so you can use GPS or Sat Nav or whatever and at the really attractive prices on offer for this handset, what's another fiver a month for unlimited mobile internet. At least that's all I pay Vodafone. You CAN access the menu during a call. Press the main key (the one with six sides!) in the middle at the bottom of the phone - this works similar to the minimise icon on a computer. You can download most games for free from Samsung's site. I also st rongly disagree with his comments on the camera. I've got a Canon 40D DSLR which I didn't have with me the other day but still managed to take an awesome picture of a rainbow which was published in our local paper and it's hard to tell whether it was taken on my phone or camera. But, as most other functions which he seems to be struggling with, you have to choose the correct settings to achieve this. THIS PHONE IS TRULY AWESOME AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. And worra screen!!!! Rating:
Reviewed by Dissapointed on 30/10/2009 Looks nice but a complete gimmick. This phone has a poor touch screen where you find yourself repeatedly tapping away for it to respond. There are no options for sensitivty or menus and options in general are very limited compared to its rivals. It comes with no memory card. Although it has GPS, there is no GPS software - making it usless. If providers claim you can use mapping that will probably mean via the internet, which maybe very costly, and inaccurate compared to GPS. If they claim it has sat nav, again, that means you will have to connect to the internet to use it. You cannot access your menu during a call. It comes with no games, apart from a touch screen drawing board thing. The camera picture is poor even for a mobile. It is on par with 3MP mobiles. The 3 desktop function is a gimmick. The 3 page menu is a waste of space as most of these items are unused. Shortcuts are often just weblinks. Widgets are just shortcuts to parts of the menu (or weblinks). There is no handset, so you will find yourself constantly wiping fingerprints off the screen. In summary AVOID this handset, particularly if the provider isnt giving unlimited internet usage. Reviewed by tommy90 on 28/10/2009 AMOLED screen is excellent. This phone does include a 3.5mm jack but does not have options or software available to search the music files in music player, the cookie kp500 does this but does not have a 3.5mm headphone socket, I am not very happy with samsung and I have not found any 3rd party software to do this. This phone does not make a good MP3 player! Rating:

Reviewed by Natalie on 23/10/2009 I was browsing for a new phone and really fancied a go at having a touch screen. Saw the Samsung Jet advertised on TV and I must say, first impressions were great! Did some research on the phone, still very impressed and once my old contract was up, I got a new one, 20 pounds a month with Vodafone. It's a 24 month contract, but I'm sure I won't get sick of this little baby! Can't find a fault so far and had it nearly 3 months! Rating:
