I'd agree with Thomas Yeung. I wanted to use the Jet also to synchronise with outlook diary. When I tried, I received a message saying the phone memory was full. Two days of frustration later, I gave up trying and exchanged it for a Nokia 5230 which I managed to synch in two minutes flat without any problems. I also found the voice quality and internet connection speed better with the 5230 than the Jet.

This phone is absolute RUBBISH. Had the contract since august and tomorrow morning a courier will be bring me my 5th handset. The internet is woefull at best, cant open multi pages cos it crashes, signal strength very poor(eg my wife on the same network has the tocco next to her with full signal my jet has 1 bar) i have yet to find a place to get apps for it. surely Samsung should be taken to task for false advertising, because far from being a jet its more of a slug in terms of speed. And the worst thing is because i'm only 6 months into the contract orange wont let me change to a different model even if i pay. By far and away the worst phone i have ever had. AVOID at all costs

Nice phone, only thing that bugged me at first was how hard it was to read a message. You have to click 'view' in just the right place, can't be fun for those with fat fingers but i've got used to it now. To anyone that says they're only get about 24 hours battery life, there's a problem with your battery or charger! phone lasts about 5 days with light usage. also to Chloe - that's the fake call feature!

I've had this phone 2 days and although im having to return it (for a factory defect) this is a great phone. I have searched through most of this phone playing with all the lil bits an pieces, and love it. The 'coverflow' like system is quite fast, the 3D I THINK is actually practical compared to the LG S-Class UI. The only one gripe I have is that you couldn't move the icons on the menu screen...well until I found out the latest firmware upgrade allows that to happen, as well as larger cover art for your media player AND more speed...like seriously you can get more??? Im getting another replacement unit as I love it. My is a defect from factory one of those one in a million style. the physical lock button does not contact with the internal lock trigger an as search I cannot use the button. I have to let it auto lock. BUT this is like a said a factory defect. Movies on the Jet are really great too and compared to my old LG Renoir, which did them great as well, this just blows it out the water..oh and you CAN tell that lil extra 0.1 size difference in the screens between the old 3 inch screens and the Jet's 3.1 inch screen. I love that its quite customisable too, allowing 3 wallpapers on each homescreen which inturn is on the lock screen too depending on which homescreen your on AND it allows you to drop a picture behind the menu icons as well which I think is really nice. Though the one thing I do miss from my Renoir is the fact of being able to set a starting an shutting down pic...that I did like. but its not on the Jet. Now as to the web browser. Its actually very good. To those who say they can't view flash need to realise that there are many types of flash on the net, and while phones and smart phones etc are getting better to view flash, their technology will always be behind whats on the web...so try any flash from most likely 6 months prior to the jets launch...saying that lots of flash ads have worked just fine for me. I dont often use the internal phone browsers really, I opt for opera mini, its just far superior. With the Jet it allows you to download Opera Mini 5 beta 2 correctly and my god is it fast!...yes like all JAVA apps it comes up with the virtual keypad BUT do a google search on how to remove it and you can, it does involved editing a file before you transfer the java file from pc to phone, but then it will be true full screen an use everythign properly. But I have opera mini 5 running, and its the fastest I have ever seen it, menus are smooth, I had 4 windows open at once loading pages and they did so very fast. Opera Mini 5 is quite intensive and is very sluggish on older phones it is tailored more for phones more in the last year, especially touchscreens and it well just runs perfect. As to battery life I havent been able to give it a GOOD hammering yet with JAVA apps and such, but I never turn 3g off its always on for me...I did manage something like 7 hours of music and a movie or two before it decided to go down to 2 bars...and I consider that to be impressive, as I've had n series phones and also the samsung tocco ultra and that couldnt even manange a few hours of music before dying. As to the cheap plastic feel of this phone, I love it, it has such a smooth and balanced feel to it. Yes it is a little on the light side compared to say my LG Renoir, which now looking back is quite bulky an ugly. The Jet does remind me ALOT of holding the iphone when I used to have one...the way the curves of the phone just....sit there in your hand...comfortable. As to the screen having issues I cannot say for definate, at times the screen is one of the best resistive ones I've had..and my Renoir IS the best I've had and is still very responsive. And at times it takes quite a press to make it work BUT I believe this is more to do with the condition of my screen (I purchased my jet from a secondhand phone shop) and it is scratched a bit in places, right where sensitivity is lacking. In conclusion I think the reason alot of people are dissapointed with it is due to the marketing, Samsung claimed it "Smarter than a smartphone" due to the hardware BUT this caused confusion in the public who thought it was a smartphone...and as Thomas proves below he was upset it wasnt and returned it. Also like any phone that is OVER hyped it will feel like an anticlimax when it is released. I saw the big flashy video presentation the general manager did manipulating a holgram display of the Jet on stage...was that really needed? Its because of stupid advertising and theatrics that alot of people expected something far greater than the Jet ever could be, and actually probably far greater than any phone could be in at least the next two years. Is it a iphone beater? no...quite simply it doesnt have the user interface, the screen or anything that make the iphone a class leader in touchscreen phones...BUT! is it a very good very fast phone with a gorgeous high resolution screen that it capable of doing a large amount (especially at once thanks to the task manager) without costing a VAST fortune? yes....is it a LG Arena beater? I'd say so yes! the Arena is slow and buggy and LG dont care for the users rather than fix a problem they just release a new phone. Ok I think thats enough writing for now.

Well I've had this phone for 3 days now, and I think its wonderful. I previously had a Nokia N96 and was a definite Nokia person, but since the problems I had with my Nokia, I converted to Samsung. Its much faster, and once I got used to the touch screen and not having a keypad, lol - I love it!! The Samsung Jet is a very user friendly phone, very easy to find anything on the menu - if you're not used to touch screens, then you will probably be like me, and take a fair few attempts at getting used to scrolling across and up and down the touch screen, but I've now got used to it. The only drawback I can find is the fake call button at the side, I keep accidentally pressing it which then causes my phone to ring me 10 seconds later!! I know you can change the time on the fake call but does anyone know how I can switch this off completely?

This phone actually has to be the best phone I've ever had. :) Okay, so I'm only 15.. but it does everything that I need it too. It's great to text on, it took some getting used too but now i find it really quick and easy, it's reall easy to understand, nothing has confused me at all, and I have been able to do everything I need too without a glance at the handbook. The camera is good too, considering that it is only 5mp. It also has flash, which a lot of phones seem to lack. The only thing that has let me down with this phone is the fact that the charger has to be in a certain position for it to work, but this can be easily solved by buying a new charger which I have not yet got round to doing. Overall, it's an amzing phone for it's price and can't be beaten in my eyes. :)

Had this phone since xmas ... Never had a samsung before, Always had nokia. Its very good. The only few things that are wrong with it are; I cant seem to get the missed call screen to go away even when i press exit, It returns later on in the day. The only way i can make it not to come up is to call the person back o.O The other thing i have found out is that i keep having a unknown number call me, If i press lots of buttons while its locked. As i would usually have my phone in my pocket it happens quite alot. If i leave the call to ring, It will hang up and no missed call is recorded. If i pick up then i hear nothing. The other thing is that the internet is very slow and cannot support a number of sites including the full facebook page (Which i like) Its cloggs up the phone and goes exremly slowly and then comes up with error Other than that its a great phone. Even though i did pay £280 for the phone in phones4u at xmas :)

The most common complaint I read about this phone is to do with battery life. I too had battery life issues with my first Jet, it was barely lasting a full day of light usage. I obviously went back to the store and got the phone replaced.. Now! when I returned the phone, the Samsung assistant commented that he believes that the problem wasnt with the battery, but with the charger. Apparently, the charger has to send a certain voltage to properly recharge a battery, he tested my charger and it wasnt of the required voltage, so even though the battery says fully charged, it doesn’t have the required amount of power. The battery is now lasting up to 4-5 days of light use before recharging, which I think is really good for this type of phone. This includes a bit of WiFi and Bluetooth use and a couple of texts and phone calls. I love this phone, the screen looks vibrant and detailed, there is so much you can customize throughout. Anyway, I give the Jet 4 stars…

Hhmm..at first glance, all of the above fits in to the description of the new Jet. However, after been a owner of this phone for good six months I can only say, don't buy it!! I've never had so much problems with any phone I've had before*sigh* The phone have a tendency to switch off without a reason. The screen also freeze, not being able to solve it then just turn it off and turn it on again. There is no widgets other than Samsung's own to get, so you can't download Skype for example. It's not compatible with Mac OS:-/ And one last thing, when I talk to someone I have a hard time hearing what they're saying because the sound is swaying in a way. There is a noise reduction feature one can switch off, but it doesn't improve the sound at all.. No, I will bring it back to the dealer and get me another phone. I shouldn't say "No more Samsung" but it's quite annoying to purchases a somewhat expensive phone and not get the full value of it, right?! So I'll say NO MORE SAMSUNG, like when I turned from Windows to Mac:-)

Im lucky to get a full 24hours out of the battery on this phone before charging up and thats by barely using it. I love this phone but the experience has been ruined by Samsungs lack of support with the Jet. Im currently in the process of taking my phone back for exchange due to the poor battery performance.. "it doesn't do what it says on the tin" Also, if you like to keep your gadgets up to date with the latest Firmware, then this phone isn't for you. Currently, the only way of upgrading this phones software is by going to an Official Samsung retailer who will charge you for the privelage. I only give 1 star because of my points above...

Then I ran the calibration utility - and two minutes later it was a dream to use. I shied away from touch screens since I don't like paw prints all over my phone, bit I have to say I've been impressed by this. Responsive, clean, and doesn't hold fingerprints like some I've seen. Who cares that it's not officially a smart phone. It's smart enough for me, with a drop dead gorgeous display, and enough functionality that I'd ever want in a phone. I've replaced my N95 8GB with this, and I'm very pleased that I did.

Have had a trusted E900 for 3 years and its never let me down- found the touch screen on the Jet lagging and very unresponsive, feels plasticy in the hand and texting was a pain. In the first night I accidently dialled 10 people due to the touch screen being super sensitive in some areas (you have to press in a very specific place in address book screen) and yet in other areas its so unresponsive. To give it its dues it does have a great camera, the screen is great and the music/video playing features are impressive. but that's not enough to convince me to keep it.......

Have had this phone for about 6months. Generally it is good with some nice features, but it does have some rather annoying features which need attention. The main problem is the PC interface software; New PC Studio (NPC). It tries hard to be user friendly but is actually truly awful. The main problem is getting out of it once started as it appears impossible to exit this software after use. You can force it closed using task manager although sometimes even this won't work and a reboot is required. Also transferring files using NPC is hazardous. I have recently lost whole load of images because NPC informed me that my transfer had been successful when it had in fact only transferred the images names not the file!! Browsing can be slow and does not support full internet and so many pages are useless. Music player is confusing as has a tendency to mix-up the track order of albums. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth accessibility are good and easy to get to, which I have found hard to initiate on other phones (Palm Treo). Although, some obvious functions are difficult to modify. Ring tones for example seem only possible to change for each contact not the whole phonebook. I am therefore stuck with the Samsung tune unless I individually alter every one of my 200 contacts. Maybe there is a way around this, but I have not found it. Overall it is a good phone, stylish with some interesting functionality, but an iPhone it is not, and now iPhones are available with other operators I will be looking in this direction very soon.

Here are my personal opinions: I’ve had this phone for 4 days now and I’m very, very happy with it. I’m not a heavy mobile user, I will make the odd text, make the odd call, take some pictures and customize it, and this phone does it all very well and quick. I don’t use the internet on it so I can’t comment on that. It took me a while to get used to the touch screen because this is a first for me, but I soon got used to it. Some users have commented that it doesn’t feel responsive, I don’t get this at all. You only have to lightly tap or brush the screen for something to happen, it feels great. Personally, everything about the phone feels neat and well put together, OK so it’s all plastic, but it’s not cheap plastic in my opinion, especially the screen which looks amazing. Menu’s are neat and tidy and look stylish too. I give this phone 5 stars rated on my experience with it so far.

Firstly, some users shouldn’t have their comments posted! They find one little fault with the phone and it’s the worst phone in the world with 1 star. Then they feel they have to post it just to moan.. That kind of post, “in my opinion” doesn’t help anyone, it’s just silly and takes up valuable comment space… OK! I’ll get down off my soap-box now. Firstly, I’ve had this phone just over 2 week and my experience so far has been hassle free. Now, I see a lot of comments about the screen not being responsive, but this hasn’t been the case for me. All it takes is a slight tap or brush across the screen and that’s it, and what a brilliant screen it is… colourful and bright. You can change the brightness also, this will take strain off the battery. Battery life seems reasonable, from a full charge. I’m averaging just over 2 days of use before charging up again. Users who love to customise their gadgets will be in their element with this phone. Now.. a lot of users seem to dislike the whole plastic feel, but I’d like to add that it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all, it’s well compact and feels nice in the palm. Haven’t had any issues with sound or signal quality, all is well so far with that. Now if you’re a budding photographer, then you’ll love the camera here. I’m not saying you should get this phone to replace your digit al camera or anything, but the image quality is stunning. No one could tell you that your pics have come off a phone. I haven’t got into the GPS, Internet or widget side of things, so I can’t say much about them, but overall I love this phone and will give it 4 stars.

Everything else about the Jet is good, namely one for being a samsung, but this one just wasnt my cup of tea...

a great phone, a bit slow for texting but that is normal for every phone iv had so iv learnt to be patient. i dnt use the internet, but iv heard its slow, so its a great phone for texting to calling, well, on 02 anyway. there was a previous comment from september, (a bit late i know) but u change the brown background by goin to settings, then display and light, and changing the theme, i think you were on the red theme which makes the background look brown, personally i prefer the green. someone else said they called ppl by accident- use the little case that comes with the phone to prevent accidental calls cos the phone unlocks itself, a touch screen unlocks itself by accident on every phone so the jet shudnt be critisized. i love this phone, the best touch-screen iv experimented with, including the iphone- which doesnt let you sent txts in areas of no reception, but doesnt tell you tht!! i spent an hour trying to send a txt b4 i finally found some reception

Ok, so I've had my 'Jet' for nearly 6 months now and it hasn't impressed me particularly in that time. Yes, the interchange between menus is pretty fast and the screen is easy to use and the actual menus are 'pleasing' to the eye, but the 'internet'? Oh dear. If you don't live in a perfect area of reception for the 3G to do it's thing, forget it. If you want to use Facebook (which comes already downloaded as an icon on the main menu)or Twitter, be prepared to be waiting around a lot, then for the '403 Forbidden' message to come up telling you that 'The server understands the request but is refusing to fulfil it', which becomes REALLY tedious after a while. And the predictive text is awful. Wish I'd got an iphone, but that wasn't available on Orange! Maybe I should blame Orange?

As I read lots of reviews before making my decision on which phone to buy, I thought I'd spend some time giving something back for others to read. +ve: I love it....it's the first touch phone I've had & it's brilliant, I don't know why I was concerned about leaving button presses behind! The screen is even sensitive enough to use with long nails...something the IPhone isn't (my husband has just had an IPhone & we've been comparing). Also a plus against the IPhone is on lists i.e. phonebook, files etc. the area where you select is wider so you are less likely to select the wrong item. Its easy to navigate, type messages, use the internet & bluetooth. WiFI took a couple of attempts at pairing, but I've been told by the 'Geek Squad' this can occur with Orange Livebox. I like the fact that you can choose to type a message using a QWERTY (landscape mode) or the conventional text type buttons (portrait mode). I like the fact you can select to send a text message or phone someone from within the phonebook...saves key (or touch :-)) presses. Most menus have drop down sub-menus which saves a lot of time going backwards & forwards. The only reason I've scored 4 stars is because of the following. -ve: There are no 'copy' features, so you can't copy text between messages, schedules etc. & you can't copy anniversaries/schedules, which was a bit of a ball ache having to type in all of my birthdays by hand...but hey it's only once. It's easy to 'hang up' accidentally when you're on a call as the 'hang up' button is in the bottom right corner...so if you re-position the phone during a call beware, as the obvious place (well for me anyway) is to use that corner...I expect I'll get used to it with practice. Using the photo viewer takes a bit of getting used to, because if you tilt the phone slightly the photos start to zoom sidewards of their own accord....again this is just practice. Anyway enough...I could go on for ages...I hope this helps some of you who are considering this phone.

Texting I find easy without having a touch screen phone previously. Phone calls no problems- only annoying thing is fake call which I activate sometimes by accident but nothing to complain about. Battery life for me last about 2 and a half days and thats with a lot and I mean a lot of use. Colours vibrant on background Generally very pleased and can see myself having this phone for a year or more. There are no games but can be bought. Hi, I bought this phone last Novemeber. I wanted to make sure I tested it well before writing my review. I think the phone is good for the price you pay. It has Wifi and GPS which is something you don't normally get on phones this cheap. I've listed some good and bad points about the Samsung Jet to help you decide whether it's the phone for you: --Good Points-- * Easy to switch on/off bluetooth and wifi (via widgets) * Camera autofocuses and takes nice photos, also has a flash * It's a nice size, not as big as other smart phones like iPhone * Has a standard earphone jack to fit most earphones * The back of the phone looks awesome with the red stripes * The phone can run multiple apps at the same time * There are useful widgets such as facebook, youtube etc * It is easy to upload a new photo to facebook, picasa, etc * When typing a text message, you can turn the phone landscape to get a full keyboard. * Plenty more good points, but will take ages to list them all --Bad Points-- * When using the camera, if you try and lock the phone without first exiting the camera app, the phone freezes, and the only thing that unfreezes it is to remove the battery or get someone to phone you. If you don't do either of these things, you can wait a minute or two before it unfreezes * The vibration is very weak. I normally keep my phone in my pocket, and put it on vibrate with no sound. But i find that i don't feel the vibrate, so have to use sound now.

Going to debrand it and will for certain be able to give a more justified opinion of the phone's software as we all know Orange branded software really limits the performance of excellent phones... but the first thing that strikes the eye is the amount of glossy plastic...! It looks sleek for sure but too shiny for my liking compared to the metallic feel of my previous phones. Not too certain on the longevity of the shell but definitely certain its going to be a finger-print friendly one! It is light and very pocketable with hardware controls in sensible places and absolutely love the design of the back, very unique. Quite disappointed I got the plain cloth case rather than one of those fancy leather ones though... So far, love it design-wise apart from the plastic. Spec-wise, seems like a wise choice for an upgrade from the LG Arena but will have t o see how the software performs... Until then will have it give it an good rating but will predict it will be pretty awesome once the network branding is removed!

They only way you can use it as more than a phone is the internet - but it won't display my hotmail emails properly, you can't access links, no way to copy and past links to get to websites and does not support bbc iplayer. Generally very dissapointed - brought through mobiles.co.uk and they only offerd the Nokia 5800 as a replacement, which doesn't look that much better. Ok my last phone was a Viewty on PAYG. So much of my experience with the Jet refers to the viewty. The Samsung jet is a very nice phone. It`s very smooth and rounded, like holding a bar of soap (and it`s slipped out of my hands a couple of times too!) Feels a tad plastic on the back and a bit lite compared to my rugged Viewty. The viewty feels like it will last 10 years, the Samsung jet, maybe 5 if you`re careful. It is very responsive to the touch, very bright screen and fast. It has a slightly strange motion sensor which works pretty well. Just don`t use it in bed cos it gets a bit confused as it thinks you must be upright so it keeps switching around vertically and horizontally and I can`t get it to stop until I get up! lol. Volume is strong for such a slim thing and music plays pretty well, though I tend not to be fussy there. I can set all kinds of pictures up as I like on THREE screens which I can switch on the go. I really nice thing is the ability to password certain section of your phone and files. So if you have any girly pin-up pictures you don`t want the wrong person to see, well they don`t. hehe. But obviously it can be used for more important files too. The phone has a very nice Speaker phone ability, while talking to your friend you can place down the phone on a table and it will automatically switch to speakerphone. my friend din`t even notice the difference. He normally always knew when i switched to speakerphone on the Viewty. So, not bad. I really liked the somewhat pointless dice game on my phone. basically, it`s just two die that you shake physically and they roll up the numbers. I spent a while just rolling these digital things! Maybe it reminds me of my roleplaying days! Cameras pretty good. Not quite up to par with the Viewty, but almost. It has some nifty things though, like the ability to add images over a picture like `top secret`. Gimmicky, but fun. It also has a little Art program which interested me as I am an artist, but again, it`s more gimmicky then useful, certainly no photoshop! I really like fiddling and customising my phones, like my PC, so I don`t get phones that don`t. The Jet allows a lot of customisation, but one thing it doesn`t allow is for StartupShutdown screens or audio which the Viewty allowed. this is the one thing I really miss. It`s not enough to make me return the phone and it is a small point, but I really liked this ability on the Viewty. Anyway, looks like my daughter will get the Viewty afterall. There`s a lot more stuff, but that`s the basics and I`ve written enough anyway. I give it 4 Stars because I still think the older `inferior` Viewty still gives the Samsung Jet a real challenge. Hope this helps. :)

I've had this phone for 1 and a half months now. It functions perfectly well as a phone and has a very good camera which is quick, easy to start up and comes with plenty of options. Texting is fine, although I am still getting used to touchscreen texting. I hardly ever use the Qwerty keyboard as I find the keys too small but the regular predictive text performs well. Battery is fine, it will probably last a day and a bit on medium usage. Surfing the Internet is as quick as can be expected and checking e-mails is breeze. Watching divx movies is no problem for the Jet and its beautiful screen (although I did have to convert some avi files I had first using the software which comes with the phone). I noticed that sometimes the sound on a movie will be limited, but I managed to solve this by loading up a music track which somehow encouraged the phone to produce louder sound with the film. It is possible to open numerous screens/apps at the same time. I have only ever opened two or three things at a time and experienced n o slowdown. The one niggle I have is that the phone sometimes unlocks and calls people if I'm not careful as the button is on the side and I think quite easy to push and hold down. But this has become less and less of a problem. Overall I am very happy with the phone. No phone is perfect and if you don't want to spend hundreds on the iphone, want a good camera and like to ensure your mobile is quite well future-proofed then this is a good choice.

Look, it's a good user friendly phone at a very fair price. The best thing that can be said for the Jet is that it is very user friendly. OK, like everything else it takes a bit of getting used to, but after a couple of days all the functions are straight foward and easy to navigate. The screen is good, the browser is good, the camera is good. However, I was hoping for a bit more. I was torn between this phone and the HERO, and really regret the choice I made. My girlfriend also got a BLACKBERRY CURVE on a similar deal, and what that lacks in usability it more than makes up for in features, particularly with the apps. There are lots of similar rival phones on the market, all have positives and negatives, and the Jet certainly does everything QUITE well. But if the i-phone is just out of reach, look at blackberry or HTC instead. Or failing that get an i-touch and a cheaper handset.

I haven't had my Jet for very long, but I am just so impressed with it! I was very apprehensive about upgrading to a full touch phone, as I am an avid texter, but I am pleaseantly surprised with Samsung's Jet. The qwerty keypad is pretty good (I make no more mistakes than with a physical keypad) and it seems to anticipate which letter you are going for when in the predictive T9 mode. I like that the normal key pad is also an option, as is the handwriting recognition. So texters, give it a go! For a resistive screen, it is very responsive, and to be honest, I'm not sure that I want a phone that is super sensitive to the touch, I like that there is a small amount of pressure needed, makes me feel like I am the one in control. I like the option of widgets, but I don't think I'll use them very much at all, but that is a personal thing. Sound quality is pretty good, and the voice clarity is also good. Although the calling volume does not appear to be as loud as my previous Samsung G600, I don't see it as a massive problem. I like the little fancy bits, such as laying the phone flat turns on the speaker when on a call, you can have a muti-conference phone call if you wish, the motion sensor is a nice bonus once you get the hang of it. The camera is good, and I love the smile detection option for taking photos! There are a few niggles, as I'm sure there are in any phone. It is fast, though it does lag at times, but it doesn't bother me as it is nothing compared to my previous. Sometimes it does take more than once to press something, but who cares. I'd rather push something a few times and get it right, than accidently push the wrong thing! Lastly, it is NOT a smart phone and it does not actually claim to be...it claims to be AS GOOD AS. Also, if you want an iPhone, a smart phone or a capacitive phone, go out and buy one!!

If you turn the brightness down the battery will last a lot longer. I was going to return it becuase of this but it lasts for ages now. I'm no spotter when it comes to phones but i think the jet is quality. If you want to download applications then look elsewhere as Samsung haven't included the jet in the Application store AS YET. Video is excellent as is the camera and downloading and watching movies is first class. The Music player is second to none. As i'm not fussed with games i would rather this phone to the I-Phone. It is faster than the I-Phone on picking up the internet as i've tested this on a number of occasions. Nice size, not to big.

Hey, I'm not sure if any of you have found this yet but to save pictures from the web browser press and hold on the screen as if you want to enable the one finger zoom, then quickly press the icon that appears that looks like a list or page. There is a save option there! I'm having massive problems with the T9 preferring random characters when writing a text. Other than that, great phone.

The only issue i have with the phone is that when you want to forward on a funny text to your friends it only lets you send 10 CONTACTS at one time WHICH too me is a let down as i love texting , but apart from that CAMERA is great , working of phone is good so if you like this phone get it .

Love my SECOND Jet, Had problems with the first Jet because the battery didn't even last two days on Standby. Carphone Warehouse were familiar with this. The phone's been replaced, and so far, no problems at all. My battery lasting four days. I don't use every feature, but the three screen widgets are a great help. The screen size and image , brightness and resolution are excellent. The speed of the phone is not perfect but very acceptable depending on how much you load onto the memory. Nothing bad to say about it. Best phone I've owned. My partner has a Nokia 5800? And I still think mine is better. Just wondering whether the Facebook App costs money to use or not.

For everyday use cant really get any better than the Samsung Jet, in my opinion anyway. Its slim/ good looking and does everything you want it to with an excellent high resolution AMOLED screen(the best ive ever seen on any mobile, and ive had a dozen different new models/makes on contract since 1998!). Getting a new phone has always been something ive looked fwd to and in 2009 i considered many like the Samsung i8910HD, LG Crystal, Tocco Ultra, Sony Erikssons et al and i'm glad i got the Jet. The internet functions are all user friendly, although there are some files it cannot open like pdf attachments which is a bit disappointing. YouTube is great fun too as long as you remember its NOT a laptop, its a phone ok and these applications take longer. The camera/video quality is also exceptional( 5MP; its quality NOT quantity that counts here ok!). The headphones are slick(best ive had) as is the very useful 3.5mm jack(although i havent downloaded any music, just listened to radio; its all there itunes style.Graphics are incredible. The only thing that lets it down is the cheap battery off cover, like a cheap cycle light flip off. Ive put a few notches in it trying to master it! I'm with 3G @ £33/month with 800mins/500txts/unlimited internet so its not cheap if you want the whole package. But hey, it aint a cheap/budget phone. Get it!!

I've had this phone for over a week now & i love it! it is not as intuitive as nokia phones but once you learn your way around it is a joy to use. the screen is awesome, the processor blazingly fast. Font size is very large (if you set it) great for people with poor eyesight. the pc software however "New PC studio" is virtually useless other than syncing contacts. battery life fairly good. i got 6 days on a single charge with light use.

Had nothing but trouble with this phone! Returned it about 3 times, swapped it once, battery life is absolutely AWFUL. For it to last at least 2 days you can't have Wifi, bluetooth or listen to any music.. The whole purpose why i bought this phone was because of the extremely "fast" internet, the internet browser is great, but not if i can't use it to save the damn battery life! Also scratches really easily, the case it came with is annoying because you can't actually get it out when its in haha..AND you can't see the screen in broad daylight.. This is only my opinion but i would defo avoid this phone.

Oldie @ 50, was worried about touchie phone but just after a couple of days confidence is booming. You just need to give time for playing. Text predictive system very good but suggest best technique is fingernail end, because otherwise locating editing point is almost impossible. WiFi option means don't after pay for browsing useage. With 3 front page options great for having different clock displays according to country of interest / business. Migrating contacts was a bit messy but doing this via SIM then using PC suite & sync allowed easier editing and actually allowed correction of previous contact data. PC suite gives you a display option for each contact. ENJOY THE NEW TOUCHIE WORLD. Don't go for alternative qwerty slide out options when you can simply rotate this phone to be presented with QWERTY keyboard, but remember to use fingernail end for accuracy.

I think "Disappointed" must have either got a rogue handset or he's on some stupid network like 3. You can adjust the sensitivity by calibrating it. Settings - Phone Settings - Calibration. Just tap the screen as you normally would and the phone stores the sensitivity. Clever, or what? Lots of phones don't come with a memory card to keep the price down and also give you freedom to choose the best size. They're all dead cheap nowadays anyway. Surely all phones need to connect to the internet so you can use GPS or Sat Nav or whatever and at the really attractive prices on offer for this handset, what's another fiver a month for unlimited mobile internet. At least that's all I pay Vodafone. You CAN access the menu during a call. Press the main key (the one with six sides!) in the middle at the bottom of the phone - this works similar to the minimise icon on a computer. You can download most games for free from Samsung's site. I also st rongly disagree with his comments on the camera. I've got a Canon 40D DSLR which I didn't have with me the other day but still managed to take an awesome picture of a rainbow which was published in our local paper and it's hard to tell whether it was taken on my phone or camera. But, as most other functions which he seems to be struggling with, you have to choose the correct settings to achieve this. THIS PHONE IS TRULY AWESOME AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. And worra screen!!!!

Looks nice but a complete gimmick. This phone has a poor touch screen where you find yourself repeatedly tapping away for it to respond. There are no options for sensitivty or menus and options in general are very limited compared to its rivals. It comes with no memory card. Although it has GPS, there is no GPS software - making it usless. If providers claim you can use mapping that will probably mean via the internet, which maybe very costly, and inaccurate compared to GPS. If they claim it has sat nav, again, that means you will have to connect to the internet to use it. You cannot access your menu during a call. It comes with no games, apart from a touch screen drawing board thing. The camera picture is poor even for a mobile. It is on par with 3MP mobiles. The 3 desktop function is a gimmick. The 3 page menu is a waste of space as most of these items are unused. Shortcuts are often just weblinks. Widgets are just shortcuts to parts of the menu (or weblinks). There is no handset, so you will find yourself constantly wiping fingerprints off the screen. In summary AVOID this handset, particularly if the provider isnt giving unlimited internet usage.

AMOLED screen is excellent. This phone does include a 3.5mm jack but does not have options or software available to search the music files in music player, the cookie kp500 does this but does not have a 3.5mm headphone socket, I am not very happy with samsung and I have not found any 3rd party software to do this. Did some research on the phone, still very impressed and once my old contract was up, I got a new one, 20 pounds a month with Vodafone.
