A new look clamshell design phone with internal antenna, the Samsung E700 features a superb quality digital camera. Terrible phone. The flip connection was so weak it would turn off most of the times I tried to open it. Lagging text not a great camera... nothing special about this phone at all

This phone lacks some features like blue tooth,its battery has about 3days and 15 hrs of standby time& Battery life is perhaps 2 yrs just like just like other samsung phones in this range.It has very charming sound quality but still it lacks loudness,also it can't adjust the image size when we download wallpapers through GPRS.Throughout it can b said that it is very good product by samsung among the phones ofphones Except these it is a super outstanding but not mind blowing.Samsung should release data cable with the phone coz it is

the phone is beautiful with its tft 65536 colours what i like best is multishot and night mode self portrait. the phone is really good you can even take photos when the folder is closed.it has benn with me for 4 years never had problems

By far the best phone I've ever owned. After 4 1/2 years is still in perfect condition, the battery is still holding very well. I can't belive how well is holding after so many years,no scraches, no dead pixels. Simply OUTSTANDING!!!

What a disappointment. The camera jus dies, jus like that! Man, whats with that "priview error" thing, and the manufacturer does not even bother to come in here and explain. Motorola and Nokia remain the most reliable in my view, I am so hurt..

i love my mobile samsung E700 the picture, the best i love almost everything no video thou, but now i'm not using it anymore the flex cable torn because of wear and tear. i wonder when will use it again. if there is one way to describe it I'll say "love it".

I have very poor eyesight so I was looking for a phone with very clear large text so I could read text messages and phone numbers easily. I have really loved this phone which I have had second hand since Oct 2005. I too have had the screen going white problem and the preview unavailable message for the camera. Took it to my phone shop and it appears that the chassis is cracked. Hope to get a new one fitted next week. Decided to have a look at the newer versions and am very disappointed as the menu's and text are not as clear and easy to see.

wicked phone had it 4 absoultely ages! Really bonded with it and was sad to upgrade! one drawback, when writing a text and u hit the red hangup button it will go to standby mode, then when u go back to complete it its gone! pain in the bum when uve had a drink or 10, or when writing a large text. Apart from that its flippin fab!!!

Hey... I loved this phone. I only gave it up because I couldn't think of anything else that I needs for christmas. I think i must have had it from almost 2years. Although it doesn't have all the new features that you can get in the updates i didn't mind. The picture quality was great and it is a nice neat phone that fitted nicely in my bags. I did have one major problem with this phone. After a while my screen what blank (white) and i didn't know why but I heard that this also happened to one of my friends. I got it fixed and over 2years later it is still working as for as I know.

Original phone from samsung crossed over 5000 open-close operations, dropped on floor many times - no scratch and still perfect. I put 5 !!!!

its a good phone, no bluetooth though which would have made it a really decent phone. My camera has gone all muffed and when i go to take a picture it says 'no preview available' if anyone can tell me what 2 do about this please help!

I would like to share my pain that i undergo with this mobile...and i dont wannt my freinds to take this pain that i run thru after the purchase...
This words are purely about and against {SAMSUNG E-700}
With in 3 months i lost the Camera facility provided by the mobile..it was
showing PREVIEW ERROR
Then after 2 months (i.e after 6 month)....I lost the VISUAL DISPLAY of the MOBILE..
And the worst thing above all is...
Thr is no proper service center around and even if u call any one..they never care for the customer..
So..pls do not purchase this model or better option is opt some other product.
The above mentioned words are true to my knowledge to help the mobile lovers...

I've had this phone for about a year, and for 8 months it was all I expected. Nice looking, decent enough features..damn good camera, far better than all my mates' cameras on their Nokias.
But for the last few months, it's developed lines down the screen, and now to the point where when I open it up, the screen is just blank white..
Other than that, it's been a top phone.

I got this phone last christmas when it first come out. It really has been a good little phone for me with everything you need to be happy. The best feature i think is the camera. The camera on the phone has gd picture quility. This christmas,i'm going to change though to the samsung D600. Its a better phone with more features includin an mp3 player. The samsung E700 is a great first phone for new users.

ive had this phone for about a year now and the battery power aint to good (lasts about 2 days)but now the screen has gone completely its all white and the camera wont work.apart from dat its a wonderful phone but i warn u it goes funny after a lil while and soon ull get bored but i love the games and the way u can record music.thats all c yas l8rs

Got this phone in Jan 04 and have been impressed - hardly ever drops a signal, calls are loud and clear, and useful functions if you are just using it as a phone and calendar. However, like a number of people, the screen image has suddenly gone pale and I can't use the camera. I was due for an upgrade 6 months ago but kept this phone because I liked it - more than any other phone I've had, but my hand has been forced and I've had to upgrade, I can't risk the phone dying on me.

I have had this phone for just over 6months and it has never, fail me yet.. its battery life it not as good as some but, its is ok for a couple of days, who needs it for more? The camera quality is good, but the night mode couls be improved, I love havinf this hone it is reliable and always works when i want it to. I love it!!!

A good fone until it BROKE DOWN on me! If u want a fone 2 last then do NOT buy this fone. My E700 is just over a year old and the screen only works if it is tilted at a certain angle and the camera no longer works. It says there is a preview error. Also THE DRAW BACKS ARE: you cant send photos through infa-red, and also mine will not let me send or receive any type of media message! Looks good and is generally ok BUT it has its let downs!!!!!!!!!!!

i was awed when i first saw the samsung E700, but i was disappointed when i knew that it had no video recording capability and bluetooth sending capabilities. but i still liked this phone because of its very classy looks and appeal and compact size. its screen is also very sharp and brilliant compared to other mobile phones.

The camera quality is great, especially with all the different effects. I bought this mobile off one previous owner and six months later, I woke up and the screen had completely turned white. The mobile was working perfectly up to that point. I rang up Samsung and they would charge me #48 if it was a loose connection, which it seems to be, or just under #100 if it was something else! They would also charge the person #17 if you decided not to have it repaired, this included P & P to send it back to you. Keep this in mind when the guarantee runs out.

OK heres the deal I was very pleased with my phone, few features that were either missing or what it did have were slightly irritating but then again that's what u can expect from a phone - its hardly going to be perfect. But then a week or two ago I dropped it, not from a height, about a metre from the ground and the clip that holds the battery on has snapped off, I would understand had it have been open at the time, but it was shut firmly. I still use the fone as I only had it about a month before hand, and I'm not exactly made of money hence why I bought this phone rather than an expensive flashy one. But surely Samsung should insure that the phone should not fall apart during everyday use, this is very annoying as the fone needs to be taped up to insure the battery is held inplace, and I'm not sure if I was to change the cover whether there would be another clip....? Please, if someone could answer this for me I would be most grateful as maybe this might be the answer, other than this design fault this is a great fone with all of it's cheery tones an' all x

Phone worked perfect until one day the camera screwed up, the colours within the screen faded and I was unable to use the camera function at all. Once the camera function was initialised I got a white screen displayed. This would eventually reset the phone and make it turn itself off and back on again. What kind of crazy rubbish was that? It doesn't help that I bought it under belief it was 2 months old, in actual fact it was a year and 2 months old. Be careful! Phone was excellent in every other way. If this problem has been rectified within the E720 I would certainly purchase one (brand new of course). I contacted Samsung - who provided me with no support what so ever.

I would Have said amazing, but my only bad point is the captur button on the side of the phone, it always takes pictures in my bag and then i end up having to delete about 50 photos everytime. But this phone is the best phone i have had and thats a few. I accidently put it in my pocket then put it in the washing machine for over an hour, and it still works 6 months later. Its the most robust little thing I have ever seen it takes millions of batterings and then keeps working. I love my phone. I would still be keeping it if it was not for that stupid button on the side, because it took a photo of the sun in my bag and i can no longer take photos or even look at the screen because it's so bright. Shame!!!!.

had the phone 1 year . 2 days short of 1 year screen went half white,it came and it wentit also coincided with loss of picture quality and battery flattening in 28 hours, had 2 year warenty thankfully, but took 3 weeks to repair. YES i missed it..... and i would never give it up. But i am going to get a new D500 !!!!!!

I've had the phone for just over 12 months. The screen has started to turn white for no apparent reason, it gets so bad it becomes unuseable, even when it comes back to life its of a very poor quality. The camera no longer works (preview error) and the battery life is down to about 24 hrs max. When the camera was working i found the images were of a very poor quality compared to other phones, also the auto power facility for alarms was unreliable and only worked around 50% of the time making me late for work on several occasions.

this phone is very boreing as it does not have many features and you cnt even send images to other mobiles through infared. The picture quility is average but its biggist downfall is not being able to record video clips. the phone is generally easy to use because ther are not many features to play around with. i would not recomend this phone because as i said it is very boreing and does not have enough features to keep me happy.

Got this phone in Jan 2004 and was really pleased with it. However, after six months of use the screen started to fade in colour and brightnes. After eight months the screen totaly went crazy and went white and unusable. It would be Ok when first switched on but after a few seconds it would go back to being totally white and unreadable. took phone to be repaired and although covered by manufacturer guarantee it took four weeks to get sorted. Apart from this major problem the phone is great and easy to use. but hope no one else suffered from the problems I enxcountered.

The button on the side is to easy to press meaning hundreds of blank pictures of the inside of your pocket which you spend hours deleting. No picture to name in phonebook unless your mates look like cartoon golfers. No snooze on the alarm ahhh. Poor picture quality on indoor shots. Not a Nokia. Sound quality is good and its a nice size

Overall is phone is relatively sound. Excellent interface. Good but not perfect camera since it lacks the flash (as to 99% of all other phones) to take accurate pictures that represents the actual image as to how the human eye sees it. However, when sent to a computer the image is large and clear. It enables you to take pictures of yourself WHILE veiwing the image. Clear polytonic ring tunes, nevertheless, a small variety. Internet based, check the weather etc. Very compacted (88 grams) hence convenient to carry around. Furthermore, there is no irratating antanae that pokes your balls. Covers are changable but for around $75 Aus dollars, mate. The bad aspect is the phone cannot vibrate and ring simultaneously. There is no key lock to prevent the camera from taking photos of your pocket. There is no reject button to avoid annoying callers/prankers (unless if u unflip the dam phone). In conclusion, there is no "perfect" phone.

I had my E700 delivered on Friday morning and I just have to say I love this phone. As I had always had Nokia phones and found them so easy to use I was a bit worried the E700 would be difficult to use but already, after only scanning the guide, I have got used to this phone. The quality of the camera is brilliant and all the features as just so good. I love that it is small and light and would recommend it to anyone. My husband has the Nokia 6100 and has only had it 3 months but since using my phone to play around on he is gonna get one of these aswell. Brilliant all round phone !

I moved from always having Nokia to the Samsung E700 and all I can say is I Love the phone! I bought it after seeing my friend with one and haven't had any problems with it. It has great camera features from different sizes to different effects/frames. I do love the self shot on the front of the camera and the scrolling LCD with the time/date, so do many people as soon as they see it.. You'll get used to the texting as its different to Nokia phones.. Its small and very cute, looks good!! It's got the right amount of features from phone settings to fun box.. The ringtones may not be all that, but you get to download some really funky ones from their website. I'd recommend the Samsung E700 to everyone who wants a small, reliable, funky, camera phone..

Hmm.. what a dissapointment.... Well not really.. but sorta.. coming from a Nokia 6610 this phone may look great, May have an exllent camera.. but lacks a few Major things. For example you are only limited to put 25 reminders on the phone, no place for bdays.. U cant turn of the warning tones or the tones for the camera...The ring tones are not that great... another thing, if u have your fone on, it wont virbrate for the whole thing, only will for the 1st three ring tones and then it will play the tone. It does not have the options of discreet, outdoor, general, loud e.t.c... overal coming from a nokia and if u are really comfortable with a nokia i say dont get it. Its not good.

itz probally 1 of da best fones out at da moment. it only a few bad thingz. da outer screen aint got a lot of colours n u cant assign pictures 2 people! oh n da battery is what really letz da fone down! think most samsungs r like dat tho! only last bout 2 days. n i dont really use it much. i prefere a fone dat lasts at least 4! txin takes a while 2 get used to! apart from these thingz itz an excellent fone! get it!

I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants an excellent modern up to date camera phone. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and so far it has been apsolutely great. It has the best polyphonic ringtones i have ever heard and they actually have voices on! If you go to the samsung fun club website you get 300 free points to spend on screensavers and stuff. The first thing I noticed about this phone was the camera quality. Its pure brilliant, my friend has a sony erricson T68i where you have to add a git great big camera on the bottom and the pictures look like they have been through a blender! But this phones pictures actually look better than some digital camera's! You dont need to get used to much with this phone apart from one little thing that kept catching me out. When you type a message you have to press # instead of the usual nokia's 0. The other excellent thing about the camera is the self shot screen so you can take perfect pictures of yourself and not try a nd use a mirror an take a picture of your forehead! The phone itself looks cool with the silver and black two tone look to it. There are only 2 bad things I can say about this phone. 1 is that I have recently read another review of some on who works in a phone shop and they say the battery clips some times break. Mine is fine but my sisters is started to moove around slitely. With enough care this shouldnt happen. Number 2 is that when things move on this phone they arent actually propelly moving, it just looks like a load of pictures played 1 after another but im sure its capable of doing better as when you are going to take a picture, on the screen things are moving perfectly. I dont know, it just annoys me, thats all! Overall this phone is apsolutely brilliant and im going to say thumbs up and definately buy 1! Thanks 4 reading.

I couldnt wait to get this phone and its not a disappointment. A bit pricey on pay as you go but well worth every penny! The multi shot is brilliant and theres plenty of room for your photos and text messages. The standard ringtones are great too and the little self shot screen on the front is really useful. my freind has it too and she says \'just buy it you\'ll love it\'-sinead. Hi, I had the O2 X1 beofre but it kept crashing so I took it back and bought the E700 for #99.99 on O2 Leisure Time Plus instead. It is a brillaint phone. Camera is great. Does anyone know where I can get the Data Cable and some good wallpapers? Cheers, Jonnie JWAPRIL1989@blueyonder.co.uk

Why is this phone so popular???????????????????? Utter rubbish in a piece of flimsy plastic. get the Sharp GX-20. Much better quality camera,phone and interface.

I brought this phone a few days a go, and its amazing!! Its got so many features and \'gadgets.\' The camera quality is one of the best out there in mobile phones, and the photos can be uploaded to the pc through infrared. This is the best phone out, shame it lacks bluetooth though.

This phone is fantastic, i have had it for a week and i love it! It looks beautiful, its stylish, fashionable and light. The colour, camera and sounds are amazing! If n e one is thinkin of buying it - got for it, u won\'t regret it - this phone IS the next BIG thing :)

The camera on this phone is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! The phone itself has great looks and the facilities on it are great. But the camera is by far the best camera on any phone eva. You can do about 8 different effects and have boarders or templates.

This is the best phone out i got one for christmas the camera is outstanding i would like to say i dont no how the josh guy broke his on his first day cause i have dropped mine bout 10 times and it isnt a problem the phone is really well built and the looks are just amzing sleek clamshell design there isnt any1 who wont stop you and ask how the phone is cause they are thinkin bout gettin one (dont worry hardly any1 gets it) and all the features on it god i find something new everyday there is just so much to do! the phone book is massive upto 500 yeh u might not use them but hey who else has got a phone book that big and the inbox and outbox for messages well you can store 220 messages on it! and going on about the space on it you can keep upto 300 picture messages. and with the camera the multi shot capture is amazing it is like replaying a video clip! LISTEN PEOPLE THIS PHONE IS THE BOMB! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT YOU HAVE BIG PROBLEMS OR YOU DONT HAVE ONE AND ARE REALLY JEALOUS! OF SOME ONE YOU NO!

My friends, if u dun get this phone, u r damn stupid! thois phone is full of features and one of the best i\'ve had, the camera is a good plus, though still a few things are missing.

Hi! I am recently got E700 and I don\'t believe in what I see. The latest mobile phone with no option to send a contact via sms??????????? Common are you serious??? I have to write down the phone and then manually enter it in sms!!! No option to add the number to existing Contact??????? Common - the new phone should have it!!!No snooze in alarm, but ok you can put 5 to do lists!!!! Action should be taken immidately!!! Software update!!! There are no features like Nokia and SonyEricsson have. The only matters is the look.

this phone is absolutly amazing... its packed full of features, 5 games including ten pin bowling,,,it has to be the best phone on the market,,,get it now... only one downside it has no data cable with it and samsung havent released one yet
