I absolutely love my D600 ! I have had it for over 3 yrs now and it still works perfectly ! It's stylish, robust, sexy...... Tried a D900 recently, only kept it for 1 day then sold it. Not a patch on the D600 ! I've just purchased a brand new D600 off ebay for when mine finally dies, although I think that may be ages off yet !!!!!!

I bought this phone 4 years ago and until now i'm still using it. Even though there were a lot of new mobile phones that went out of the market months after this phone's release, I did not buy because I'm still satisfied with this phone even until now. Inspite of the many times it fell from my hand/pocket/bag, it's still functioning well. Thanks Samsung! I'm planning to buy a new phone not to replace it but i need to use another network's sim. It will also be a divert phone in case my D600 has no battery since the battery is not functioning very well anymore coz of my abuse. lol...My new phone would still be Samsung but of course it would depend on the price. Time's are hard these days. :)

this phone is rubbish ur better off buying a orange rome i bought mine 4 40 pounds 2 mega pixel camera mp3 caller id micro sd slot the loudest speaker ever i researched and its the 2nd loadest phone 4 playing music aloud basiccaly all im trying to say is that this phone is rubbish and dont buy it

i had this phone about 2 years ago, ive had about 7 phones since then and none of them have been any good, only because its brick like and old i dont use it anymore, but it doesnt turn itself off or have memory card problems etc, i wouldnt recommed it anymore because obv its old but it was a a fantastic phone whilst i had it (L)

great little phone with a good camera, but cannot zoom the picture on the phone afterwards to investigate a photo. also flash is not the best. had it three years, no problems easy and reliable - was going to complain about the underscore but just saw the comment below - thanks. I have just returned to this d600 model after my later U600 failed for the second time...

LOVE this phone... its Great Great Great =] had it for about a year now had no problems with it at all. still works Perfectly... the video player and camera have come in so handy captured heaps of stuff, i bearly have to use my digital camera hehe ;) 10/10 phone!!

This phone isnt the most stylist and its not brilliant for storing music etcc... but this phone is amazing i have had it for 4 years! it is easy to use. it is solid i have nver had it fixed and i think i have dropped on every suface possible! i love it!its cameras good it has loads of little extras including bluetooth! i dont go anywhere without it!i have been oftered other phones which are better in everyway but i just cant part with it! =D It is excellent i DO recommened it to anyone! xx

alrite phone, has some features that i NEED ... bluetooth etc. buying an LG KC550 Orsay which will be brilliant ! .... d600 good battery life i think cos i charge it every night and it lasts the whole day, wat more do you need?

Amazing phone, i've had this phone for about 2 or 3 years now and i've used it every single day. The video recording is amazing, i've been to concerts next to a huge speaker and i've got amazing sound and video quality. The camera is pretty good when you mess about with the settings on it. It can stand alot of dropping, i dropped it out of the top of my double decker school bus and it still works and looks perfect! Looking for a phone ? GET THE SAMSUNG D600!!! best phone you can get!

i got this phone in may 2006 and had it for atleast 2 years and kept it because it was amazing, great phone excellent camera. but the screen went and had all lines come accross it and to repair it was more expensive than getting a new phone so i got a U600. U600 doesnt match up to it at all, i will be sending back my U600 and getting this repaired.. the phone is worth it. BEST PHONE I HAVE HAD. 5 STARS! :)

ive had this phone now 4 years, wat can i say its excellent i bought it for �120 and it was worth evry penny great 4 txting nd calling, da camera on it seems to gd to b 2mp only problem i had wid it was the unfriendly computer software, the music player was poor nd after 2 years it started to get major problems like turning of by itself but this fixed by itself within 2 weeks, neva had the problem after 1 great thing about the phone is dat it doesnt break easily i dropped the phone repeatedly nd nothing eva happened i would seriously recomend dis phone, but i dnt think it sells ny more, shame im now upgradin to a sony ericsson w910i can't wait

Ive had this phone for over 2 years now and its still great! it good robust phone that is still compact....its got a cracked screen, been dropped numerous times, once into a fast flowing river yet it still works fabulously! only fault is that you cant listen to music whilst txting but tbh who cares, got an ipod to do that! xxx

I have had this phone since it pretty much came out (over 2yrs)and it is only just giving me trouble, the buttons on the front slide bit are starting to not work so have to slide it up and down a few times...but other than that it is the best phone i have had apart from the old nokia classics that were built to last, i need to upgrade now because of the buttons and i will miss this phone! the camera and the video are excellent. i might just have to get another d600 if i dont like my new shiny one!

this phone is amazing apart from the fact that i cannot feel the vibration in my pocket when i am walking and i cannot hear it ringing whe i am in a quietish place let alone a noisy town. other than that i would reccomend it to anyone.

This is the best phone I have ever had and I would definatley recommend it - 2yrs down the line not a singl problem. You may find it had to buy one on Pay as you go now for free, but amazon does a good stock of them. | LOVE IT

I have had this phone for more than a year now and it is brilliant. Virtually flawless! Well done Samsung! I do have a few problems with it though, they are very small and very minor! The size is quite irritating, as large phones are now becoming outdated, I don't really like the chunky size of this phone. Apart from that, the only other problem I find is that while listening to music, you are unable to for example, read a text message without exiting entirely. :( Annoying! But the phone is brilliant. Superb internal memory, and of course you can also add additional memory to the phone using the card. The phone is very durable! I have dropped it many times and it has escaped without so much as a scrape! Thanks Samsung! ;)

the phone d600 is poor it has got great features but one day after i bought it the battery was dead so had to buy a new one next day the charging wouldnt charge proply had to put the charger right in dig it in this fhone is going back im lucky got a garantee because this phone is rubbish stay away from samsung lg,sony ericsson, nokia and motorola are milles better go for w850i or 6230i they are better than this or even the lg choclote

Hi, Well, my phone's display decided to stop working in open slide mode (when you open it the display flashes, turns off, or displays a static image). This happened exacly 1 month after the warranty ran out. I treated the phone very well, my phones from 2000 still work! I'm not impressed.

A friend has it for the last 2 year, still works. Also considering he is always playing with its slide it sats a lot about the high quality construction of the phone. Good mp3 player, good camera, TV out option is useful. Overall fully recommended phone.

WOW- I have had this phone for two years now and have still not found a replacement for it, I love it so much! The only things it doesn't have are 'themes', which is when your menu settings and background etc. have the same picture or colouring and you can't set a song for your text message. I must say I have absolutely no problems with this, especcially not having the latter, as it is really annoying when someone doesn't answer the text straight away, so you have to listen to the whole song. It is very easy to use with a classy looking design. I find it MUCH BETTER THAN NEW SAMSUNGS as they are so lightweight they feel cheap and can sometimes looka bit tacky. Also, this phone has quite a masculine feel to it, but is still perfect for us girls as well!!! All in all, I would reccomend this phone to everyone. Oh, one last point-the camera takes great snapshots in the light, but the flash isn't great so night-time pics can be quite grainy.

This phone is generally good but beware the poor quality of the fascia - after about a year, my phone has got dust galore in the screen and scratches all over. Also, virtually impossible to see in full to moderate daylight. Also, this thing refuses to cooperate with emitSMS on my mac. God knows why....

i love this phone i have had it just over a year now and i loce it to bits. the only bad thing about it is that you cant have that many songs withiut a memory card in it and it takes a while for it to send messages. other than those two bad things, everythnig else it EXCELLENT. i would reccomend it to anyone. x

I have had my mobile now for two years and i have never had any trouble with it.i did some research about it for a whilebefore i bought it as i didn't want to buy some sort of cheepy rubbish phone. Anyway, the camara is great on it, the mp3 player is ace (clear) and memory is ok, however you could use a memory card. the only bad points about it is that the mp3 wont stay on in the backround while you textof play on your phone.The only other thing i can recall is that you cant use one of your own mp3 player songs as as txt message ring tone. overall i can most definetely recomend this phone to anyone as its is reasonably cheap,easy to work and it is very trust-worthy

I had this phone before i lost it :( It was amazing, it worked great camera was superb great amount of opinions and great quality. Good amount of memory too it comes with a memory card and a disc that you can connect your phone to your computer. You can make ringtones too and save tons of money. The phone bettery last a long time and even when it is dieing you can talk on it. You can customize so much on it i love it. definely pick on up It has a great amount of features too such as 3 alarm clocks if you can't get up in the morning like me.

I think the only problem with the phone is the way all the files are organised. There should be a music folder where all the memory card and phn memory music are in. Other wise a great, solid phone. i have droped it may times and it still works fine. not purposly obviously :)

I Have Had my phone for just over two and a half years currently. Over the years i have had many phones and frequently changed them due to fashion taking over so much of our lives. But i have had no urge to buy a new phone. It has long battery life. Very high quality camera. No faults to the company. Easy to Use and texting is very simple. Very good phone all round - perfect.

I know this is abit old now but I've had this phone for a year and I still really like it! The only thing I'd say is that you cant listen to music and do other things at the same time, buti think you can in later models. and the samsungpc studio thing on the computer is very helpful to upload songs photos etc. a GOOD QUALITY PHONE!

I have had my d600 for about a year n abit nw and i tell u its a kick ass phone....Its gone underwater, about 5 times and it still works absolutly fine, and its scrachted up to the bone.... as for the features they are great 80mb of interneal memory with a micro sd slot for up to 8gb.....The camera is also fantastic, when they say 2 mega pixal they mean it, and its got great features like auto setting iso frames brightness controll 4x zoom remeber this phone is 3 years old and its as good as some of todays!! Also be4 i go id like to point out u can here the sound of the speakers from timbuctoo i tell u the stereo speaker system built is just gr8....Bye :)

i think this phone is pretty good. i use the camera lots and the memory fills up loads even though ive got a memory card in it.the music i put on it is good and gives out a good signal.it has good bluetooth activity and its easy to transfer things but its a bit slow. this phone is for people who want all the gadgets like mp3 and camera and video and bluetooth. good luck finding a phone and i do think you should take a look at this phone first

This phone is not perfect but is extremely good. i used to have a D500 for a few months and then got a D600 in red, it has been the best phone i've had sofar. Camera; brilliant for a 2 megapixel, memory is decent with a card, the mp3 player is very good but not as good as a Sony K750i mp3 player the bluetooth works fine. But there are some problems... My Dad has had a Black D600 for 1 and a half years and the paint is fine on it, but my red version ive had for nearly a year and the whole of the battery paint has peeled off the phone and it looks horrible, the battery is rubbish and the main problem is that it is boring, you cant have custom message tones and i don't like any of the tones except for 1, on sony ericssons you can have cool themes and you can minimize the Mp3 player while doing something else on the phone, which you can't do on a D600. So thats why i'm getting a SE K800i soon.

This phone is great if your wanting tons and tons of music, pictures and games on your phone. The phone has a very large memory but recently it ran out i got a 1gb memory card and i was going to buy a ipod but you may aswell buy this phone because it has loads of memory. Also samsung have done really well to make it easy to use there is no poiint in paying an extra �50 for the d900 it is basically the same but bigger screen. I got this phone from tesco last year for �70 and it is brilliant well worth getting but unfortunately tesco dont sell it any more because they have a new range in but you can still get it for under �100 !

i have had the phone for 2 years its been in the wash and tumble dryer and it only cost �5 to fix i have droped it and thrown it and only cost �10 to fix it is a very cheep phone yo fix but it has all the things your want in it you can hack in to ppl bluetooth put codes in it and every thing if your want the code to make it louder go to the main screen and type*#8999*8378# then press 229 up and then ok then change the numbers.

i hav ad this phone 4 ova 2 years now n i think it is rubbish, dust gets inside ur screen the memory is rubbish, the camara and video is ok. The best thing bout the phone is proberly the looks. This is the second samsung phone i have had and i prefer the d500 which is the 1 i had b 4 the d600. My advice for the d600 is not 2 buy 1 cuz if u av it 4 ow long i av had mine u will soon want 2 get rid of it. i av now got enough money 4 a iphone which is wot i is buying lol

I HAVE HAD HUNDREDS OF PHONES But this is simply the best. I thought the P900 was a great phone but this beats everything. PLEASE samsung make a new version of this with the same look, less weight, same width, improved standby/talktime, same depth, better camera and perhaps a personal organiser and You will never have to make another phone again. No one can fault this phone.

I HATE this phone. I've tolerated it for a year and will never buy another Samsung because of it. The reason? It's simply far too slow to respond. You delete a text message, it flashes a pretty animation, so you close the phone ... oops ... now it's stopped deleting the message and you start all over again. Try using the camera at 2mpix ... press the button, count 4 seconds ... *CLICK* ... which picture did it take? Is it in focus? Your guess is as good as any. The menus are OK, the usability is great (apart from being too slow), the limited choice of text alerts is irritating, but survivable, the camera is awful. Note that there are hacks available for this phone to overcome the text alerts & vibrate-and-ring ... but you need a different cable to use them, and it invalidates your warranty. Do not buy!

i had this phone last yr and wish i still had it, it was brilliant. i love the fact that its not really super slim, it feels very sturdy and tough, i dropped it a million times and it was fine. very good camera. iv had lots of phones before and after this one, but this is my fav of all time! if there isnt enough memory for songs, get a memory card from play.com for �5.

I had this phone for almost a year and it was without a doubt the best I have owned. The camera quality is good, the slider is extremely sturdy and it is just generally a great phone. Could have more space for music files, but I guess a memory card can sort that. Only reason I no longer have the phone is due to losing it! But I highly recommend it.

I have had this phone for about 1 year and it is the best that i have ever had i think iwill find it really hard to find a new phone like it, i bought a crystal cover for it b4 i had bought it and it is well recommended to do the same as you find out how many scratches your phone can obtain within the first week of having it although it makes the phone a little more chunky it doesn't matter anyways this phone is great the sound is clear and loud when calling and recieveing calls, ringtone is loud and is also good for an alarm. photo quality is A* and deffinatly get the phone connected to your pc to save pictures on ther and to put songs on your phone. it has wonderful memory as you can put a memory card in ther with it aswel which is even better!! i love this phone soo uch i think i'll keep it until the slider falls off lol its an excellant phone i love it and im sure you will too !!=]

I have had this phone since January, and I have to say, It is OUSTANDING!! Love it! The sound quality on MP3 function is clear as crystal, and the fact that it comes with 3 free songs is even better! With a choice of 33 ringtones to start off with, this is just brilliant! Video capture is for 1hr at a time, and you can store 7 1hr videos on this phone. You also have a choice of 3 colours, Black, (the colour shown) Ruby Red, (the one I have) and Silver. When the phone is on standby, The screen turns into a mirror, which is great for if you're out on the pull! I would DEFINITELY advise you to buy this phone, it is an exellent value for money, and I couldn't live without it.

A great phone but it breaks far too easily. I have had to get my screen replaced twice already and its broke again so im getting a new phone. This has also happened to a few other people i know that have had this phone

Dreadful battery life; nowhere near as good as stated in the blurb. Other than that it's a good phone; easy to use and takes good photos but the lousy battery life is a real letdown.

I love this phone its the best phone ive ever had! Its got loads of memory n u can even put a memory card in it! the battery lasts ages! the cameras great! u can av mp3s on it! and its just an amazin phone! id advise anyone to buy it! its better than the d900! it has more memory! its brill! i love this phone!

The phone really struggles in two basic things: 1: The simplest feature to copy numbers from phone to sim and the other way around, which my oldest nokia had is completely absent on this one. The phone does not copy numbers from Phone to SIM and the default setting saves the numbers on the phone! So in case you want to change your phone you the in real trouble. 2: Messaging, it does not have a notepad like nokia and if u do not save the draft explicitly, your entire message is erased. So if u press the back button instead of the cancel button be prepared to type the full message again!

Had the D600 for six months so this is a long-term review. I use a mobile for phonecalls and messages and for this, the D600 is fine. Clear calls, great finger-sized keypad and a reasonable signal in areas where my previous phone lay dead. But where do Samsung get their battery life statistics? 300 hours? Nowhere near. I have no bluetooth on, don't play music and rarely use it for photographs, but I'm lucky if I get 100 hours on standby. I've even set the screen to blackout after 30 seconds and bought a high capacity battery but it was no improvement. Not just me though, my sister has the same problem with her D600, recharging it every three or four days. (That's less than 80 hours) The only way I can get close to 300 hours is to switch the thing off. It's a good looking phone and works well but if you want to get the best out of it, stay close a charger.

just finishing an 18 month contract with my Samsung D600. I've had absolutely no problems what so ever with it during my whole contract, its been dropped quite a few times and never suffered anything more than a few scratches. Would reccommend this phone x

i have had my phone for 2 years and i am attached to it there is not a single thing i would complain about. the main thing is with all phones is learning to use it and understanding got any problems their is always the manual. their is an option to send and save messages or just to send. now the u600 is the more update version of being slimmer,radio. but i still love this phone in maroon as i have it.

I used to have this phone and i had it on contract. I was seen as 'cool' at school cos it was slide an everything although when i sent a text message people got several texts from me cos my message was too long, but it told me it just sent ONE.. i unfortunatly lost the phone and have a realy rubbish LG at the moment but i am getting a K800i for my birthdday in November and i cant wait! Anyway overall this was a good phone.. but one last bad point was when i took a picture and set it as my display it zoomed in..and didnt look as good.. but anyhoow.. i do recommend it.

I love my D6OO i must ugrade now and im sad to let it go.It was the best and sill is ive got it now for two years which is long to have a phone but this phone is my love of my life and goes every where with me even sleeps on my bed and has it own jacket for when i go skating but its a nit fat must go on a diet haha...the only problem i had was this DNS error thing! with was dumb but the mp3s i have like 69 without a memory card which is like alot,its easy to work with and is better to hav when you are in a hury the whole tym.. im gonna miss my love of my life..but hey if my grandma can use it anyone can shes abit slow..

i've had this phone for about 1 year now and its still excellent, the advantages of this phone is that the sound quality of it is superb. phone is very quick with your actions. only one of the phones that you can view your mobile onto a tv screen with using the cable that is included. phone is exceptionally good with the sound not to high and not too low. camera is ok considering having to change the settings to get the quality that you want. but its a very stylish phone worth your money.:-)

Great phone! Once you have a memory card you can record videos and take as many pictures as you want. The bluetooth is really easy to use. Absolutly fantastic phone!

i think this phone is absolutly excellent. Ive had it since last x'mas nd have loved it eva since. it seems to love me 2 cuz wen i left it out in the rain 1 tym it dried off in bout a day and works fine now!!! the only slight complaint i have about it is that it is quite borin nd it is quite chunky. but overall it is FANTASTIC! i love it but probs im gonna get a NEW 1 this x'mas cuz im bored of it now LOL!

I cannot belive this phone has got so many good reviews! its rubbish! i had it for a week and hated it. the battery life on it is appauling. the screen doesnt tell you if you have a message or missed call if your phones been on silent, you have to slide it up to find out. It hasnt got many more features than the d500. I would defo tell people to stay away from this phone. its a complete waste of money!

The samsung D600 is a really good little phone. I would recommend it to anyone! Ive had it over a year and is still in really good condition even though i have accidently dropped it a few times! It is quite a bulky phone but i reckon that is a plus because the buttons are bigger and easier to use. The only fault this phone has is that the battery goes dead quick if you leave bluetooth on and if you listen to the mp3 player for ages.

This phone is one of a kind. Its really cool! I love the color, shape, and size of it. The camera and video is really good! The graphics on it is good. I've had it ever since last summer, but my mom ruined it, so now i use it with a blank screen. But guess what? I can just plug it into my tv!!!!!! Its a bombass phone!

i highly recommend this phone i have not had one problem with it and ive now had it for 18 months. The camera is high quality and takes v good pictures however the flash isnt brilliant. But it is only a phone!! Its easy to use and looks good.

I purchased the D600 a year and a half ago and found it to be a very good handset. I have just replaced it with a Sony Ericsson K810i and oh dear...how i wish i had my Sameung back. The video camera on the Samsung is sooooooo much better than the Sony Ericsson!

Gd all rounder,2 megapixel camera gd, wud giv 5 star but fing is it has not got everything like the original d600 because i have the orange version- d600e, try to get the d600 on a different network other than orange, u won't regret it that way!

How can such alittle phone do so much, if you want a truly good phone dontlook any further, I have had many mobile phones, nothing has ever come close to this one, the little peach does everything, I used to renew mt contract every year so I could choose a new phone, no more, I pay �10 a month for 300 mins 300 text with virgin media, and my phones does the lot, please trust me, buy this phone, I have two, in case I loose it the other is waiting in the wings Hope this helps you decide...........10 STARS

Good phone but not very fun or customizable battery life is short but it is full of fun features. But it did die after a year when it kept crashing and reseting itself. But it has allot of memory and a good camera so its worth all you pay for.

I just bought this phone today for the great price of just 79.99. I spent the best part of a week looking for a phone that was able to take a 3 sim card and after much deliberation settled on this one. My parents both own the Samsung D500 and while I always loved the phones features, I couldn't get on with the tiny keypad. On this model however the buttons are much larger and easier to use. The sound and picture quality are superb and the expansion slot for extra memory means I no longer have to carry both an MP3 player and a phone. I love it.

i thought this phone was absolutley RUBBISH i preferred the D500 one thing that stood out was the fact that the D500 had around 4 to 5 skins and the D600 only had 2 i know it is not something that you would be that botherd about but that shows how much more variety the phone gives. Plus it only has a l;ittle bit mopre memory than the D500 wich is relitivley a better phone. i am dissapointed by the standards on this phone i shall not buy another phone out of the D range =[

It is the best phone ever cause i have had it over 2 years i think or more but it hasnt givin me a problem. I've dropped it but everything is fine. The small problem(s) for me is that sometimes, the pictures u get with are small and there is only 2 skinz for it. I like the size of the memory card unlike nokia memory cards. I advise you people out there to buy this phone cause it is the best samsung ever.

Hi, this phone is an amzing phone and i loved it for the first 5 months of use and stil did till when i droped it, it had to be repaired as other phones ive had in past have lasted like 20 drops untill any mager damage. also it went in the washing machine de other day so no suprise there it doesnt work so tomorow im going to buy the sony erricson k800i and overall sonys are beter, more reliable and have better features, ill post a review tomorow on the k800i teling you my thought on it. But im going to have to give the d600 a 3 star since i was starting to get bored of it, since it doesnt have many features and its not a strong or reliable fone. Thankyou

I have not got this phone yet but i am getting it very soon and not one think has put me off. I really like the model of the phone and i think it is loads better than the D900, the D900 i think is a little to thin and the D500 is a bit fat but the D600 is just perfect. Practically everyone i know who has got an samsung has got the D600 and know wonder because its great. Its the best, its better that the rest, its the one the only SAMSUNG D600@!!!!! Go Samsung! Go D600! Go SAMSUNG D600!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this phone is alright and very fun to begin with. The camera is good quality and the sound on the mp3 is excellent. However, after 2months i became very bored of it for a few reasons. 1) the alarm tones drive me insane 2) when i take a picture o n the camera it takes an age for it to actually take and you have to hold it really still or it smudges. I dont know if this is a setting that can be changed but i have tried and failed several times. 3) when its in your pocket and starts to ring, it is hard to pull it out without answering the call as it slides so easily. there should be a setting so that sliding the phone does not answer or hang up on calls. otherwise its a good phone.

Excellent but minor niggles like:- Prefer that the camera lens was protected when slid shut, like on the D900. Easy to accidentally press �reject call� when sliding open to receive a call, so call is lost I have cracked 2 outer screens by walking into desk edges with the phone in my trouser pocket. Easy to change yourself though with a �5 replacement screen.

I have only been using this phone for the last 24 hours, wow, its great I had been previously using a sagem My-v56 which at the time i thought was pretty good but nothing compared to this. My son gave me the Samsung D600 and its great, the picture quality from the camera plus the video is fantastic, I can now take better pics of my kids when they playing sports.

Make sure you charge it for say 8 hours as it isn't fully charged when the battery meter hits the top of the scale. That may expain why several people are reporting low battery life. Great phone.

i have this phone yeah , it was working beutifully now , it keeps restarting and stopping and freezing on the spot after being standby in my pocket i go to play music and it karks it. i dont know why im dissapointed with this phone majorly at the moment.

Hi I got my Samsung D600 a few days ago and I love it, I can fit about 20 songs on without memory card which I thought was very good. It is very comfortable to text with, great sound quality, it is a bit bigger than other slide phone but I personally like it bigger and it is more comfortable to hold when it's big. The camera is fab. I heard on the radio about a new 5 megapixel camera coming out this is only 2 megapixels but it is amazing! Has a voice recorder, good video recorder, bluetooth which is very quick, to send a picture to my friend it took 10 seconds, by the way you can buy pink and blue cases aswell!!Overall the phone is brilliant!!

I got the phone when I lost my pebl (probarly accidently on purpose as it was so rubbish) and I love it. The video picks up sound really well - I have so many concerts and you can actually hear the song!! The camera is good really good too. I love this phone. The MP3 player is good too, and you can get a memory card for more memory, though the phone as alot of space. The battery lasts for ages. Even with bluetooth constantly on! Nice shape and really light. Recommended.

I like this phone. Overall it is awesome. The picture quality is very good. But if you have the picture on the highest quality, it does take some time. If your looking for a phone to take pictures with, I suggest you look for a different phone. But this one is okay to take them.

This phone is the best possible phone for a teenager it does everything neccessary and more whilst looking fantastic. the colour quality and camera are second to none, it really amazed me. i would advise anybody looking for quality and style to buy this phone you will not be disappointed. This phones great ive had it about a yr and its bin droped soo many times and still works the same. ppl are saying that there messages dnt save wen u send a message it gives you a choice send or save and send, this then saves ur messages in sent messages. I think the mp3 is wkd except u cannot do anything else while on the mp3 which is annoyin, and u do need a memory card if wanting to store music or videos as the memory isnt very good.

I got my Samsung D600 last year..2006....it was a limited edition..metalic red very impressive to look at..but I do find it much harder to text with...as I have always had Nokia in the past...and once you have sent your message it dissapears! so you can't check what you have written etc.I do like the Quadband fascility though and I will be taking it on holiday to Mexico later this year...but please Samsung can you make texting a bit less messy and complicated? because of this I still use my old nokia for texting much quicker and I can make the letters bigger as well....so I haven't quite made my mind up yet whether I truly like my D600....mmmmm...

This phone is great in every way apart from its battery life. I charged it up twice a day and i would still go off because of low battery. Also it doesnt play yhe music very loud. Also the memory is **** so i rcommend you buy a memory card for the phone. I had my D600 for 1.5 years n i can honestly say its one of the best phones i have ever had. It looks stylish and texts great. the side design is a cool feature and btw i like the message factory tones and who cares if it doesnt vibrate and ring. Some people always find something to complain about. This phone is the easiest of easiest to work and is just as good a any other mobile. all in all i advise ou to by this mobile!!!!

Good Points- I think that the D600 is the best mobile i have owned.Its large built in memory alwos you to have a large number of pictures,MP3 songs and videos...I think that kerys or comerftable to use and slides freeley up and down. Bad Points- The D600 hasnt got alot choices for display colours which as you may have relised a very minor problem. It also only has bluetooth so you can not connect to infored mobiles. Over all I strongly reccomend this mobile to you wo are considerating it.

Ive had this phone for a year now and it is great.. If your a bit careless like me this phone is 4 u... ive dropped it so many times and its been thrown around in my handbag 2.. n it works fine. i also got water on it. it takes brilliant photos. use it as a camera more than my actual digital camera, mainly bcos of convience. The mp3 player is great. Only negative side is my sent text messages arent saved in the sent item boxed.

I bought the D600e last year.This is the best mobile phone ive ever had!!!I used to have a motorla v3 which was pure junk.The camera on it is pretty good,the mp3 player is excellent previded you have a memory card and you can make phone calls on it as well.All in all im not buyig another mobile for a long while.

I have had this phone for 18 months and have just been offered an upgrade. Looking at the current market, I can't see many phones as good as this one-even some of the realy new ones. It's extremely reliable, easy to use, and has a pretty good camera. I had to replace the battery after a year but that's pretty good going. I would fully reccommend this phone to anyone. I don't think I want an 'upgrade'!

This phone still rocks!! Ive had the phone now for over 14 months and im still having a hard time finding a better phone with the same features. Ive used the camera and the video camera just about every day, sometimes in good lighting conditions it better than my digital camera. Yet is a lot smaller and compact. This phone is brill and will be hard to part with.

I have had this fone since feb 2006 and i absolutely love it! i wouldnt want any other phone. the only downside is u cant have mp3 tones as a text msg alert like i could with my old motorola instead it is just the preset tone. the memory is great i can store 200 texts which is fab. love it!

Ive had Nokias, Erricsons and Motorolas for ever and this is the first time I tried a Samsung...and to be honest I think this phone is ACE! Infact its been 3 months since I could upgrade (I've had it for over 1 year now) but I still have not as I am not sure if I would be able to get another phone as good as the new ones look delicate and flimsy :S

This phone is really good and works damn faster and very easy for navigation. Only problem is with the ring tone, where it doesn't support any ringtone to ring and vibrate at the same time. It has got a option of Vibrate and then ring. Otherwise its awsome phone, very light weight and camera is too good and MP3 player is damn good with good quality sound. And best is, its sliding phone. Best in the market as of now. It neither freezed nor swtiched off. Its just awsome.

Got this phone a week ago and thought it was fab until today - phone has switched itself off for no reason and I can't get it to switch back on now despite having a full battery. Always had Nokia's before, think I will be taking this phone back and sticking to my Nokia in future. Dad also got this phone and had to take back once as camera freezing when you try and use it. Would not expect this from the usually reliable Samsung name.

Always being a fan of 'slidey uppie' mobile phones, I was very excited at the prospect of buying this one. Still very expensive despite the endless upgrades currently on the market, but I overlooked that as I wanted one, and needed a phone. After taking it home, I charged it for quite some time *six hours* The next day, come mid afternoon, the battery had gone down to two bars, but, having always had phones in the past with a good battery life, and charging it for six hours the day before, I overlooked it. Come early evening it was down to one bar. I then made a phone call that lasted about ten minutes, and got off the phone to find that the battery was completely flat. I charged it all night that night, but not the night after that, assuming it would be fine. Come morning time, the battery was nearly flat. I do not know if it is a faulty battery, but a friend of mine who also owns a D600 has often complained to me of it's poor battery life. It's a decent phone, very stylish, has all the features one could ask for in a rather up to date phone, but, in my opinion, the battery life on this is a huge let down for me.

The D600 has some ace features, but some IRRITATING flaws too. The battery life is what you'd expect on a 7 year old brick. And the vibration/ringtones are silly and confusing. I love its sleek design, and the 262k screen is just excellent, and the camera quality is fantastic. It's a b*gger to text with sometimes, with the slidy thing and all. And it responds quite quickly. Really I prefered my old Nokia 6630. I reccomend this phone if you prefer smaller phones to bigger, bulkier phones. But it's not for me.

i bought this phone 1 week ago its a gr8 phone has bluetoth vidio for as long as it likes 2.0 mega oixel camera and flash but the downside that makes it 2 star is that the battery life lasts about 4 hours if ur playing mp3s or 7 hours if u just leave it sit in ur pocket so i wouldnt recomend u to buy this phone =[

Brilliant phone but just doesn't do that much. I was very disappointed when I got it and realised I couldn't set my own message tone and was only given the option of about 10 AWFUL pre-set ones. Other than that, its a great little phone. The features when taking a photo can be hilarious too =) try it.

My mum has this phone and she finds it so easy to use it has a great 2 MEGAPIXEL camera bluetooth and a memory card slot which are great features. Its now on the market for only �100 which is great for this slim stylish slider. The only downfall is that the camera is on the back not on the slide so he camera lens is liable to get dusty but besides that it an all round good phone.

I've had this phone for just under a week now and absolutely love it. I've got the red model and it is really good. It looks stylish and has very good features, I am yet to have a problem with it and highly recomend it. I used to have the E700 and loved it but it broke after having it for many years, so I was sceptical about buying a new phone, but this is one is actually fantastic.

It sucks it doesnt have enough memory and the memory card is hard to get hold of. I had it for 11 months i have had to replace it 2 times. It stracths easily the battery dies to quickly you can not play more than 4 songs without losing a bar. dont buy it!!!

This phone is fab. It is one of the best I have ever had. I had the Razr Pink before this one and that was a good phone but this tops it. The only downside is the fact that you cannot have vibrate and ring at the same time and that you can only have default message tones, not any downloaded ones. Apart from that it is fab.

Had this phone for around 11 months...and it's awful! The camera is good but that is bout it.It's bulky in your pocket, battery life gets worse as time wears on, i.e 5 months down the line it had to get charged every night. In my opinion, Samsung have made massive mistake in the creation of this and I wouldn't touch Samsung phones ever again.

Considering the D600 is meant to be a high spec, top of the range phone it has a lot of drawbacks. 1) the battery life is disgustingly poor 2) Data transfer to/from pc is painfully slow 3)Samsung have failed to include such simple things like sound and vibrate at the same time 4) The default (unchangable message tones) are very poor 5) It is not a robust phone at all. The slide is delicate and doesn't take much to get knackered. 5) Despite a 2mp camera (apparantly) the photo quality is poor. My old 1.23 mp nokia 6680 had better quality. But there are some good features to it. The screen is of a high quality and the phone has a decent amount of memory. All things considered the D600 is an average phone with the price tag of an expensive one.

i have had this phone for about two weeks and it is excellent. i can only fault it in one silly little way, in the fact that you can not get certain symbols such as the percentage sign, at i havent been able to find it yet. apart from that it is excellent. i have a 3 megapixel camera, and the phone takes just as good pictures, and video is pretty good. it feels nice, fits in your hand nice, looks nice and overall it is nice. if you have the d500 or any other phone, upgrade now!!!!

Got this phone in March last year. First things first , i havent had any problems with it at all. Its a stylish phone with some great features and is really easy to use. The only thing i dont like about this phone is that you cant have a ringtone that vibrates at the same time. If this was fixed then i would be able to give this phone 5 stars!

this is GREAT phone ive had mine for 18month now...been wonderfull! only downside is that with the ware and usage of a teenagers day it gets pretty knocked up, dosent handel damage well, and the screens scratchs pretty easily! espeshaily if you golf, golf tees and car keys just wreck the screen - otherwise good phone just needs alot of looking after!

i hve a samsung d600 n id like 2 comment on ma fone. it looks great but when u put in a memory card people will try 2 steal cos its just at the side. the other thing is that u cant use themes onthe phone unlike sony ericsson phone u can. but the good thing i like is the use of quad band and the mp3 player. good things come to an end cos the spekers on a d600 is crap. ive been lookin 4 a phone dat has quad band and mp3 player with a loud speaker, n so far it has been sony ericsson w300i and w810i. but after i buy 1 of these phones i'll try 2 review it

Ive gt a Motorola V3 at the mo, and in about 2 weeks im going to be getting the d600. i love this phone its slides its strong n it has a 2 megapixel cam!!!! n black = sexy ;] ok fair enough its not as slim as the v3 but at least u dont feel that your gna break ya fone whilst texting. i say if people wnt to get a fobe get samsungs they are bril deffernatly the d500 d600 n d900 they are the best 3 fones ;D . . .

I dont rate this phone at all.I have had it one year and will never buy another samsung again. It is impossible to answer the phone in you pocket without cutting your self off.The keypad is so sensitive it is very anoying.further the navigation is not intuitive. Typical of samsung.My wifes samsung was the same.My next phone is going to be a nokia or motarola as I found these generally better to use.Some of these pople who have reviewed this phone must have worked for samsung or they are just plain mad.

I carry a phone, a camera and an MP3 player around with me always, and decided to consolidate all three. After reading reviews, I bought the Samsung D600e. First impressions were good, nice design and good build quality. Installed the software, ignored the "not verified" by Microsoft warning, about the Samsung software. Connected the phone to my PC by USB and looked in Windows Explorer for the 1 gig memory card, I had bought for it, as I would do with my Olympus camera, it wasn't there. Read the instructions and found you have to Import the photos into the Samsung generic software. My test photos were poor quality at only 60kb as opposed to my camera's 400kbs approx. Using my landline, I tried to phone the shop where I bought it. That's when I discovered my Dial out telephony settings in my PIM had all been changed by the Samsung software, and Lotus Organizer gave a warning message, then froze and XP wanted to send error messages to Microsoft. I've returned the phone and, using System Restore, got my PC back to normal. The default setting for the camera is VG, and I know I could have improved the photo quality. Also, as there is not a normal head-phone mini-jack socket, I could not connect it to my car cassette stereo, which is how I listen to my MP3 player. I know I could use Bluetooth, but by then I'd had enough. Pity.

I've had numerous phones before this one, all so-called "headliners" of their respective brands; none of the same quality as the D600. I have been using my Samsung SGH-D600 for over a year now and am totally impressed by how robust the tiny thing has proven to be. Back in 2005 when it was first launched, it looked pretty much like an expensive toy to fiddle around with rather than use in "real business", as Samsung wanted you to think. Well, guess what. The D600 really CAN do business. Perfect features, great variety of useful built-in tools such as pdf viewer, optimal battery power. And, what matters the most, perfect call and range quality. Finally, a phone that wouldn't make me run around the house in search of the "perfect range" in order to make a normal phone call. 13 months and its standby time is still not giving me any headaches, which is rather impressive by my own merits. Not to mention how many times the little black Dee has fallen down on the ground / sand / dirt / tarmac, just for me to pick it up again (wondering if I'll be heading to a phone store the next day)... and actually see that it's still working. Without even having taken a scratch. The D600 2MP camera totally changed the way I look at phone cameras. And it also rendered the purchase of an "average everyday" digital camera absolutely useless. Yeah, you guessed right - I still haven't bought a camera. Unless you're really into photography or are looking for professional features and true quality, the D600 can really do the trick for day-to-day (or even holi-day) photos. Nice 1600x1200 resolution, good colors and focusing, lighting is above average and you even get the almighty flash. Just one question - Samsung, why are you making me go through all these photo menus, when you could have just put in the feature "flashlight", when it's THERE after all...Cons- well it doesn't have too many of them. I'd only point to the memory card... why use t-flash, Samsung, when it a) costs a wee bit too much; b) comes with no more than 1G!! I never bought a t-flash for my D600, which goes to show that if you download your photos and videos to your PC, the 50Mb integrated memory that the D600 comes with is more than sufficient. Oh, and regarding the synchronisation/download software... better update it, so that you're absolutely SURE you won't have problems. The integrated mp3 player is a pretty useless feature in my point of view, but I guess it's vital for a phone to be able to play a few mp3s for it to qualify in the "lifestyle" category. I wouldn't expect too much - after all, this is not a Creative mp3 player - but the sound quality is still OK and the whole thing is fun. Maybe a radio would have taken things to another level of "usefulness", but then again - you've got real mp3 players (or simply the car stereo) for that kind of stuff. All in all -- well done to Samsung! I've previously owned phones of almost every brand, and the Samsungs I had were always a bit better that the others. But the D600 is really much more than "a bit better", it's top of the line and it's all you'd want from a business-lifestyle mobile phone. I'm not even thinking of changing my D600, at least not in the next 6 months -- and if I do change, it will be for another Samsung (and not just because they are the Blues' main sponsors :) )! Let's face it, there may be other mobile phones with features that match the ones of the D600. But there aren't too many of them that can match the black Dee's looks, now are there!!!

Fantastic phone! A lot of people are moaning about the battery life but mine lasts quite well. Camera quality is v.sharp and the memory space is plenty. Video quality isn't that brilliant but it's pretty good for the price you pay. Ringtones good, message tones good, colour quality fantastic. And... you can have rainbow coloured text when you dial a number! Wow! Best phone I've ever had. If you're not sure whether to buy it or not, DO!!!!!!!!! You won't regret it.

The phone itself is quite good. It is the first Samsung phone I have owned, I normally buy Siemens phones. So for those that haven't compared, here are it's faults: 1. Cannot upgrade the software. With Siemens you can download the latest firmware and flash your phone with bug fixes or new features. 2. No vibrate and ring. Quite a basic funtion to miss off a phone as it is difficult to hear it ring in a noisy environment especially if it is sat in a pocket. I've even missed calls by just driving along and not hearing it! 3. No voice dial so it isn't truly handsfree. 4. Doesn't automatically hang up a call when using the handset, you have to end the call with one of the buttons. Stupid. 5. No auto-answer when on "handsfree" 6. Cannot change the SMS tone. Basic functionality on most phones. 7. No display when closed so you don't know if the phone is on or if you have missed a call without opening it up. Most phones give the option of a dimmed display. All the above and more is available on the Siemens SL75 and the more basis SL65. BUT, the camera is excellent. However, if I wanted a good camera I would buy one. So the upshot is, I'm getting rid of this phone and looking for something else. Plus every man and his dog has one so it's hardly a unique phone :)

This phone is buff in looks and doesnt let you down in the feature department. The trans flash memory option is a major plus and the picture quality is excellent. This phone screams quality and i would recomend it to anyone!

Hi, I bought two Samsung D600 phone, one works fine (so 5) but other has a strange problem (so 1). The problems are - 1. When you make a call, it shows calling but nothing happens and after sometime it shows call failed. (even though battery is full and network signal is good). 2. After you keep trying it actually connects sometimes but will disconnect automatically after 30 sec, or 1 min or will work fine (Very random). PS - i was calling 789 virgin customer auto answer services, and was just listening to options. 3. Now on few occassions it connected to the 789 customer service people, but then eithere they weren't able to hear me at all (microphone was switched on) or they heard me but call gets disconnected. So basically i am not able to figure out whats happening, but some problem with the connectivity.

Hmm. I have just bought this phone as upgrade from nokia 2600 for a friend. I have an N70 on a 3-U.K. network and if I could I would buy one myself and just use 2G-I never use 3G video calls anyway. I bought a 'pay as you go' unit which was a bargain- the lowest price around was by �20 and its the same price as the Nokia 6111 which is software bugged as hell. The menu is nice and quick, great 262K screen and very user friendly. The camera and vids are very good. Its compact with a slick sliding mechanism, which is excellent but could be maybe a bit stiffer for me but I know that would put off some of the smaller handed people. It beats the nokia sliding rattle mechanism ny being a smooth solid sturdy slider. The keypad is bigger than my N70 and easier to text. I like this phone alot, very impressed since it came out in the end of 2005 for 2006 and has upgrades in software and e models . Its not �300 pounds anymore so its a bargain in 2007 now. It improved upon the brilliant D500 mobile of the year 2005. The D900 is the newer version being slimmer, higher mega pixels etc but also at nearly twice the price. Grab a bargain while you can. I would definately swap from my N70 to this. Oh and the audio stereo sound is fantastic but definately go and buy a memory flashcard expansion-you have the camera, sound and functions that most people will use-hence a 128mb card is cheap now. The phone has 88mb of memory built in. Simple enough for low users and advanced business use but it lacks doc viewers which can added by using 3rd party software. Fantastic mobile.

Hey - i've had this phone for two months now, and its ace! DOWNSIDES: The battery life isn't too good. You can't play music very loud. The games are not very good. The camera can be a little blury. But right- a phone isnt for all these things -its 4 calling people! so looking at the good sides of a 'phone' Its easy to call people - when u call u can hear the person u r calling loudly u can put stuff on the tv u can upgrade the memory 2 1/2 gigabytes! its a lot cheaper than the D900

I have had this phone for about a year and a half and it still looks great and has all the features of new phones, eg bluetooth, mp3 player, video capture for a long time etc. It really is a good phone but, for me im going to try out the samsung d900, its just like this phone but a step up in some departments.

I have been bought this fone for christmas and i opened it to check if it worked and i have not put it away since, it was supposed to have been put away for christmas but i just wont give it back it has so many good features such as bluetooth, mp3 player, excellent 2mp camera, 90+ mb memory and a memory card slot for a micro-sd card to expand the memory up to a maximum of 1gb. The bluetooth send files fast and easy and the camera takes excellent pictures and the best videos i have ever seen on a mobile phone. Also you get a usb cable in the box to easily transfer music, video and more onto your phone easily. I recommend the phone to anyone who is after a stylish new phone with lots of features and a good camera.

THIS IS THE BEST FONE EVA! theres just 1 dwnside, wen i charge up the fone at night, play with it a bit the nxt day n by the end ov the day, the batterys drained! but i dont care! lol! the memory is OUTSTANDING! its so amazing! I got this phone a few days ago and it is fantastic!!! There is signal everywhere and all my friends want it. Few niggles though, the message tones are limited and there are not many default pictures for the background. All in all, it is brilliant!!

To the person having usb connectivity problems-try going into settings, then phone settings, then usb settings then select mass storage. If you have windows 2000 or higher it should be recognised as a remeovable disk and you can drag items you want into it. However, this only works when you have a memeory card inserted into the phone

I have had this phone for a week now. I have spent some time getting used to the functions. The feel of the phone is excellent, operations quite good. Navigation is adequate, the camera outstanding although the position of the lens/flash makes it awkward to hold the phone whilst taking a picture. The sound quality is very good. I am disappointed with the tone options, not being able to assign my own sounds to anything other than the 'incoming-call' tone is a real step backward for me. I like incoming texts to make a bold 'sound-bite' statement, not a farty beep! A lack of profiles is a problem. If I'm out and about I want the phone to ring and texts to shout, for privacy I may want the texts to ring but calls to be silent; I want it to buzz quietly in meetings, not make a sound when I'm asleep - but still have the alarm wake me up... It just isn't possible with this phone. It is not a versitile companion. You can have it noisy or quiet, and thats it! Transferring data using USB to phone memory would make wet paint bored! A typically mp3 can take 4-5 minutes. Texting on the phone is a bit of a nightmare. It is not a slick as Nokia phones. Using the organiser is frustrating. It can be set it up as a diary but you have to jump through hoops to achieve it. I also own a Nokia 6630 but it is at the end of its contract and needed upgrading. I was persuaded towards the Samsung by a 'mobile phone expert friend' who said it was much better than the Nokia. It isn't. Everything about the Nokia is done better. I think of the Nokia 6630 as a mobile mini-pc. It is a lap-top-phone device, with most the functions and settings you would expect of such. I expected the D600 to be the same but this is sooo not so. Where the D600 gives you a control option, the Nokia gives it you with knobs on! The screen is better, navigation better, all in all, the 6630 is a perfect tool. I can't imagine the Samsung feeling anymore than 'just a phone'. I am very tempted to unlock the Nokia and sell the Samsung!

i have one question about this phone when you connect it to the computer what should you choose usb , bluetooth , ect. and when you do choose the one what do you do next. Plz can someone help me out because im really stuck i know im probably just being syupid but oh well. Apart from that this phone is excellent. I think the mp3 is clear and really loud. the phone feels great in your hand and the key pad is great. Lots of people have moaned about the battery life but on mine its fine. It charges really quickly and the camera quality is really good. If you are going to buy this phone do not hesitate. It has been the best phone i have ever had. apart from that question this phone is amazing.

hi people i have a question about the d600. i think the phone is really good and it was definatly worth all the money. My question is this. - when you hook up the phone to the computer and download it a warning pops up saying microsoft strongly reccomends you to quit. should i quit or not and is there a problem with my phone or is it just my computer. has anyone had this happening to them. Plz answer me as i really dont know what to do. anyway overall apart from that i think the phone is excellent. its super stylish and has great picture quality and good features. The mp3 is fantastic and really clear. The screen is brill and the battery life is quite good. I've had this phone for 8 months & for the first few months, I've had no serious problems with it. I just wanted the speakers to be louder, the keys to be quieter, & wished that I could see the time without opening my phone or holding the volume Recently, it's been freezing & has been turning itself off. It freezes frequently - when I try to turn it back on, when I'm playing a game, when I'm on the phone, etc. It turns off just as much as it freezes. For instance, I leave it in my purse & when I go & try to check the time, I find out that it has turned itself off.

after owning nokias for ever i decided on a change. BIG mistake. the D600 is slow not user friendly at all. It's key pad is plasticy and very clicky. It feels cheap compared to ANY nokia. Texting is a nightmare, takes forever to navigate. When you end a call by pressing red button it has an annoying habit of switching the phone off if you leave it pressed for a millisecond too long. You cant choose not to download images when browsing on WAP therefore making browsing 3 times as expensive as it needs to be. I hate this phone with a passion and cant for the life of me understand why it is so popular. AVOID

This phone is great and i highly recomend it aswell as the nokia 6230i this phones dynamics are great aswell its a slide phone and has high standerd features such as bluetooth, video caller id's, a camera and video recorder with an mp3 player it can have java games and the worl time aswell a media gallery, the memory is also very good it has around 70 megabytes internal and can have a memory card, but the memory card dose not come with it overall if you are getting a phone i recomend this one highly.

I think this phone is standard and i really dont see why all the hype abut it. I wanted one for ages then when i got it i was dissapointed. The only thing i can honestly say i like about it is the sliding to answer and hang up. the ringtones are rubbish and cheesy and you tend to hang up on people alot cos you slide it down by mistake when they are ringing you or your talking. its a nice phone to look at and a nice design but if you like gadjets i wouldn't reccomend this phone.

I think it is a amazing phone. First of all you get a mint camera with flash. Then you get decent memory and you can get memory cards to expand the memory. Then theirs the battery life, i play games everyday, play a few tracks on the loudest volume, play vids and take a few pictures and that lasts about a week. The best version for battery life is d600XAEIA i think. You can put any game on your phone for free (if you know how to. The speakers arnt that loud but you can make them louder ( if u know how to). You can convert movies to .mp4 and a smaller size so they fit on your memory card. I fitted pulp fiction and shrek on my phone lol. If your after a phone that does everything, get the d600.

Had this phone a month. Love it! Ok you cant ring and vibrate at the same time but that is just a small thing. Its bigger than the D500 because it is better! The SMS do go into the sent messages folder if you select send and save when sending your message! If you don't like it then go and do some knitting!

Not sure why you guys are so excited about it! I am very disappointed! There is no efficient screen saver showing time, missed calls, new sms messages! The display stays dimmed for 3 minutes maximum, after that it is completely black! So inconvenient! I just cannot believe that they have created such a cool phone and have not thought about basic convenience! There is no simultaneous vibration and ringing.

When I got the D500 last year, I truly thought that Samsung had come up with the ultimate mobile phone. Reliable, sleek and full of features. The only slight niggle I had & still have, is the vibration alert not being selectable with the ring tone. However, this minor gripe aside, I still thought that this phone was unbeatable. Then! along comes the D600. Wow, now Samsung have made what was a great phone into an awsome phone. Still with the vibration thingy of-course but hey! I was lucky enough to see the new D600 chrome version before I upgraded my phone, and boy, they've made what was a good looking phone into a sexy mobile too! This really is the cherry on top of the cake! Check out the phone in the 'flesh' as the advertisments just don't do the D600 Chrome justice. Well done Samsung - keep 'em coming!!

Had the D500 and thought it was time to upgrade but after comparing the two dont think i'll bother the problems with the 500 are still there and the bits that worked fine on the 500 have just been improved. If you want to change a word in predicitive text you have to delete it and start again instead of just selecting the word and changing it. MP3 player that just eat's a battery life. come on samsung get your finger out and look at the real problems not improving the already good features from your previous model.

I have had this handset for nearly six months now. The handset is fantastic, of course all the specifications match my requirements which may bias my opinion slightly, but it is reliable, easy to use and packed with potential. If you are considering purchasing one of these, I would highly recommend it and if you are familiar with other samsung products (such as the d500) then you will love the extra features included with the d600. i work for the uk's largest high street mobile phone retailer and so i have access to a vast variety of different handsets. in my opinion, this is by far the best. happy shopping!

I was handed this phone by my brother after my Nokia 6630 finally died on me after having it for 2weeks (and I wasn't gonna go with any type of Nokia for a while after the 6630s poor performance) Everything is fun to play about with on the phone and is excellent. The phones size is excellent! Well done Samsung on this one. The things which I really miss and are disappointed in such a great phone are custom message tones and the way you have to create a text message. It seems to be all over the place unlike a Nokia which is simple and easy to use. Apart from those two sections that could be improved the phone is pretty good.

this phone is excellent, my old phone lg p7200 was terrible, upgraded to this and it is alot better, excellent camera, good mp3 player, tv output, but i have not tried this yet. much better than other slide phones like nokia 6280 and lg 5200, just look in the shops most if not all sliding phones are broken by the slide except the samsung d600 and the d500 which is the older version than this which is ok, but this is much better. EVERYONE WHO WANTS A NEW DESCENT PHONE WHICH WORKS WITH EXCELLENT FEATURES AND DOES NOT BRAKE, AND WHICH DOESNT COST THAT MUCH COMPARED TO OTHER PHONES GET THIS!!!!!!!!

I got this fone a week ago, and as soon as i got it the box i was like WOW! Its a truely amazing fone the camera quality is excellent as is the sound quality. I love evreything about it samsung hav yet again proved that they have got what it takes to be the best manafacturer on the market!

Main problem of reception.Two bars on Nokia = no reception on D600 Am trying to get replacement to find out if due to individual phone or d600 in general. Tread carefully.This phone is the worst thing that happened to my business. Aftr three weeks phone looks tatty...scrathched to bits. iF YOU ARE IN DUSTY ENVIROMENT FORGET IT .i HAD TO use WD40 to get phone to slide....oiling my phone .no reception..18month tie in with Orange telling me they do not replace models only like for like.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I got this phone out on contract 3 months ago and it is truely amazing, the camera when the qulaity is on super fine and the image size is on its highest, creats qulity pictures which when uploaded to your computer look like they were taken with a digital camera. 1 minor problem which can actually be avoided in the software provided to upload songs and images to your phone it is VERY slow, but this can be avoid just simply contect your d600 to the computer with the wire provided then click menu>>settings>>phone settings>> USB settings>> and set the setting to Mass Storage (But I am not sure if you need a transflash card inserted in the phone for this opition). Anyways apart from that the phone is a must have you can use it just like a mp3 player, personal organiser, digital camera,and much more with this mobile phone 5 STARS!

This phone is amazing! The camera quality is just like a digital camera, and teh video play back is awesome! Everything is so easy to use. And it has such a stylish design. Looks much better than the D500.

Much is being written about this phone and much of the negatives are either a result of a faulty phone or people not reading the manual. Not a fair review me thinks. For my money there are only 3 niggling problems with this phone: 1) the melody/vibrate issue, which many have commented on, 2) it is easy to reject an incomming call when extracting the phone from a trouser pocket - perhaps not one to bother the ladies 3) Again a trouser related design issue - the battery can be easily ejected by the middle finger as you make a grab for the phone. Knowing all of this in advance probably wouldn't have put me off. The MP3 player is great and quality is high. Get a 512Mb transflash card (less than �40) and you'll have loads of tunes to while away the hours. Bit annoyed you can't send an sms while listening to MP3s but hey no one is perfect. The screen is fantastic - clarity is very good indeed. However, it is vulnerable so get a Martin Fields screen protector before you scratch it. If you travel abroad at all then this could be a factor to influence you - Quadband means the D600 should work in virtually every country in the world with a mobile network; provided you have a contract that allows this of course. Comments about battery life... well, if you use the camera, MP3 player and Bluetooth all the time and keep the screen brightness on max and volume on max I certainly would expect any battery to die on its feet in less than a day. Suggestion - don't pratt about with the battery hungry functions and it will easily last for days on one charge. The sync function is great - I don't need my old PDA anymore. You will need a PC with Outlook or Express for it to work. but it does charge the phone whilst connected via USB. Read the manual and software setup instructions first - you'll regret it if you don't. Now, the 2million pixel camera my be the reason for your purchase of the D600. Well hang on just a minute. I am a professional photographer and I work entirely with digital cameras so I hope my opinion will count for something here. If you are interested in photography or fancy getting in to it then spend your money on a dedicated compact digi cam, better yet a Digital SLR. In fact if you want to save a buck and learn at the same time, check out eBay for the tons of ex-pro film cameras for sale. Yes, film is on its way out but you'll be able to buy 35mm for a while yet. The camera in the D600 is a technical marvel, of that there is no doubt, but it is no substitute for a proper camera. However, if you want a state of the art, non-3G phone, that can do just about everything but make the tea, then the D600 is worth a look. Do take advantage of the PAL capability and show images, video and documents on your TV direct from the phone. Connect the D600 to a PictBridge printer and actually print some of those daft snaps you always shoot at parties direct from the phone. But do not, under any circumstance, walk round in public with the MP3 playing through the phone's speaker - you have been warned.

I got this phone as an upgrade to my 6230 which I loved its the best phone I have ever had. This phone dissapointed me at first as the menus are not as easy to use as they are in the nokia and text messenging works much better on my 6230 as not captial letters when you starting a new sentence also entering words into the dictionary is hassle. I was going to take it back but decided to try it for longer and decided to keep it because 1., the screen is the best ever!! very clear and sound quality is excellent in the mp3 player and in calls better than 6230. The picsel veiwer is better than expected it actually works well, and the mp3 player is good but not excellent as you cant don't nything else while playing mp3s also it doesn't have a radio which i miss. the camera is pretty good takes a bit of tweaking, overall its a good phone just a few major niggles , not perfect but good , fix the txt messenging samsung!!

Im not in love, or am i? yesss i am to this phone. i was gonna buy the nokia n70 on three but i think three is pretty s*** and i reckon that all nokias are all the same and boring, there just too big and horrible, why people, why go for nokia. i reckomend this samsung d600, it is the world, its got style, its got the memory, its a clever little phone, nokia.. beat that.

Is it just me or did Samsung deliberately make texting on this phone reminisent of a model from 2000 ? A new sentence begins with a lowercase letter, adding symbols takes ages, adding new words to the dictionary is done using capitals unless you change the settings every time. Frustrating.What do people use their phones for most these days ???? I keep my phone in my pocket and have an uneasy feeling about this model and I am sure it will open when I move around. Sound quality during calls is excellent and I like the menus but also I am frustrated at how many times I have to press buttons to access and turn on Bluetooth. I dont leave it on all the time to save battery life and there is no shortcut to switch it on. (I am on Orange and they kindly programme the phone with their own software which stops you customising the 4 way controller. Cheers Orange.) I cant decide if I like this phone enough to keep it. Maybe that very fact means I should return it ?

I have borowed this phone from a friend and i must say that the camera quality is absouloutely amazing but there is a slight delay but i learned to live with it, one of the downsides is that there is no infrared port (which there is on the D500) and the amera is on the outside of the phone making it perfect for scratches and damage(D500s is in the inside which protects it from damage. I really like the fact that it has expandable memory and a TV out port which means that it is just like a digi cam. Anyway although i do prefer the D500 this phone is excellent especially seeing as you get it free on a pay monthly contract.

Having upgraded from the Samsung D500, I have to say i'm very dissapointed. Apart from the 2megapixel camera, which is now on the outside and open to the elements, and the slot for a flash card, this phone seems like the model "before" the D500. Only two skins, hiddeous message alerts and a lack of T9 on some of the text input features. Very surprised with all this and wish I had kept my D500. Having said all of the above, anybody using this phone for the first time, not previously owning a D500, will no doubt love it. Best features are bluetooth and it does boast a good camera. Very easy to navigate menus.

Ive had my samsung 6600 for about 2 weeks now and it is great! The sound quality is phenomenol....... You also cannnot beat the quality of photos and videos! 10 out of 10 for me. The only thing i dont like about it is that you cannot change the message tone but besides that id reccomed it too anyone!! Samsung well done! Id buy this phone again without the slightest of hesitations!

Just bought the Samsung D600.This is the phone that beats them all. It is the jewel in Samsung's crown. It has everything that one expects from a cell phone, an mp3 player and more. It has one of the best screens in the market, expahsion slot, TV output, a 2 megapixel camera, a slide form factor and what not? No problems battery life or reception. Take it from me, don't buy the W800i or the k750i or any phone of that sort.Go for the D600. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant phone. The screen is the clearest yet. Even clearer than my old S700i. The MP3 player is crystal clear. the reception is great, the camera is great and the TV out just about tops it off. The whole package feels quality, and make no mistake, is quality!

Had the phone a few weeks. The best so far! Easy to use and logical menus. "Large" buttons beautiful display. Camera is slow, but I bought a phone, not a camera. Would buy again without hesitation. Strongly recommended.

Bought this phone on the strength of my D500 and expected great things, don't get me wrong it is a good phone, but it is more or less identical to the D500, bar a little polishing and a 2 mega pixel camera. I have just sent mine back as the battery keeps dying all of a sudden, my girlfriends has just been replaced for the same fault, and the slide screen has come loose. Nowhere near as robust as the D500. Shame as I really thought it was going to be a great phone. Just ordered the Nokia N70 so fingers crossed.

i got this phone and i really like it the camera quality is really good but it is a bit slow. the mp3 player is really good and the sound is great. the only downside compared to the D500 is that this newer version (D600) hasn't got infrared! whereas the D500 has both infrared and bluetooth. other than that the phone is great.

Got this phone a few days ago, what an excellent phone. Small, stylish and the screen is a real good size for such a small phone. Lots of features that will keep you clicking for hours. Battery life is great and mp3 player sounds good with lots of memory which you can add too. RECOMMENED, SURPERB.

This phone is the bomb!! It has got everything. Going to buy it in about two weeks time. The best slider in the market by far. Great screen, sound quality is superb, camera is 2 megapixel and the video recording is some of the best available on any mobile phone by any manufacturer,it has an mp3 player and expansion slot. The Samsung D600 has to be one of the best phones on the market currently and will remain so for a while to come. The people who complain about this phone are just nitpicking. Buy this phone. You won't be disappointed. I'll hit back with another review as soon as I've got the phone and used it.

This phone is dreadful, the most over hyped, over anticipated thing since willy wonka movie! sound is rubbish, bad software keeps rebooting when you in the middle of making a call, ive had this fone 3 weeks, my sister works for samsung developement its a shame because i like alot of other people were looking forward to this fone. i nearly shed a tear!. message input is dreadful, keypad wobbles, casing scratches easily as butter. do not buy this phone!!!
