Briliant!! Just Text and Talk with a nice clear screen. Easy to use, and compact. No gizmos. I don't want cameras, radios, music, Emails etc.

Not the easiest to understand, but you get the hang of it. I bought it for £15 in an Orange shop with £10 credit. It talks, it texts (which can be fiddly initially, but gets easier), and does me fine. I agree with Bo's point on the build quality - I've had it for almost a year now, and it's been dropped countless times, without an issue.

Have to agree this is the easiest phone I've had. Ringtones are the only letdown other than that the phone is ideal. It's small and fits into a pocket nicely.

This is the best phone I've ever used. Simple straightforward and no bleeping gadgets. Agree with Bo's comment about the ringtones, they do spoil the overall look but it's a good, cheap, reliable phone that won't break the bank, £22.99 and comes with £10 credit! Was a little concerned about it being a slider phone but have used the phone everyday for seven months and not a single prob. If only everything was as good...

Best phone I've ever used (apart from the rather dodgy ringtones) but easy to use and good battery life. A rather big plus point is the decent build quality which in my eyes leads to reliablity.

this is my second review of the SAMSUNG C 300.It,s my first phone ,and my first review was placed before i started using it properly,so a few points.....battery life is not so good .I only use my phone sparingly, and the battery life seems to drop quickly.i find texting fiddly, but that is probably a combination of me and the phone. I think it should be regarded as an emergency only phone for motorists e,t,c,

Have just bought this phone for a friend and we both think it is excellent value for just £14.50, and in Lavender colour although they call it purple! Is very straightforward and easy to use without all the bells and whistles which in my opinion are just gimmicks anyway. If you want an inexpensive easy to use stylish phone, this is the one for you.

this is the first mobile phone i,ve owned .i did use one years, ago with work, but i don,t like mobile phones being 60 years of age and finding most people who own them gimmick freaks.so i looked around for a camera, radio free no frills phone just for emergencies, (very few public call boxes these days)...this is why i purchased the samsung c 300 . the equivalent motorola and nokia looked very sad, but this little fella is quite sweet. i haven,t learn,t the texting technique yet, but i can recommend it as a bare bones ,phone.

Well my ancient Nokia gave up and I chose this. Don't need camera, coffee maker ect and this really fits the bill. Easy to use, clear screen, ringtones you can hear easily, and dare I admit even looks quite fashionable in today's world. Billi, to get the date and the time on screen go to organiser menu click on icon and scroll to time and date. (You'll need to do the time first then the date and you'll be away)

Quite a good cell phone for just Eur 55. The instruction manual lacks details and does not give the default phone security codes but it's stylish and easy to use.

Brilliant phone for the money.Bought from Tesco for £29.95 WITH £10 TOP UP CARD INCLUDED !!!.You will be surprised and impressed with all the things this little phone has on it.No camera, bluetooth, radio etc, just a good honest phone that does things well. To get full stops, comma etc when writing a text press 1 which gives you a full stop then press toggle /navigation key down to get comma another press will get question mark etc etc. Its easy to think like Terry and Mike that the phone is pathetic because the instruction book with it is a bit short on imfomation but no worse than other makers handbooks. To write a review thats honest you have to have a phone for a couple of months so you can really get to know it properly. Wonder how many other people will be put off Samsung phones because things are not explained properly in there handbooks?ARE YOU LISTENING SAMSUNG!! and the other phone makers for that matter. Like i said earlier. Brilliant phone for the money.Buy it and i guarantee you will like it if you compare it with other phones of a similar price .

I totally agree with Mike. The software is so badly designed. Do they not have people to test these things out?! Take this simple example when writing a text: I like to type texts without predictive dictionary. However this is the default and cant be changed. So i have to press a button to change to normal lettering (beginning with a capital). Thats fine until i have to use a symbol of any type (fullstop, comma, etc). To do that i have to press a button twice to go into symbol mode. Then i press a number which repesents the symbol i want., then i press another button to ok that option, then its brings me back to my text but it has forgotten all the settings that i was using and reverts back to predictive dictionary!! Are they idiots or what?! But it gets worse! Now that i want to continue my text, i have to again press a button to get into normal lettering mode. But that starts with a capital letter so i have to press another button TWICE to get to lower case. Then i can continue my text. Oh, but then i need to use another symbol and the fun starts all over again. Pathetic

Hey you guys at Samsung, get with it! This is the worst phone I have ever had... terrible, terrible SMS prog (so many things wrong with that, including no lower-case, non-reversion to option being used after inserting grammar mark, no timing OR dating of outbox!!!). Double the keying I used to to send a text. Does not live up to stated talk/standby time. Has put me right off Samsung products.
