Reviewed by Amelia on 17-12-2004After my Nokia 5100 brick it was like a dream carrying around this stylish little phone. It gets compliments everwhere you go - everyone thinks its so little and cute. I bought mine in silver when I DESPERATELY wanted pink so i\'m buying a pink faceplate. Features Good general features, NEVER breaks down or crashes. TXTing could be difficult for people with bigger fingers ringtones are very loud for such a small phone, reception is clear. melody composer is good (i\'m a piano player) generally a great little phone for those who want a cute little thing and arent too into all the fancy technology - i mean a phone is to RING people! Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Yvette on 09-11-2004 Love the size and incorporates everything I need in a phone...it's a pretty basic model, doesn't have any fancy features. The one thing that drives me crazy is the dust that collects under the screen...would love to know how to give this phone the basic once over and get rid of the dust. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by k lee on 12-10-2004 good phone, but what camera? mine doesnt have a camera like someone earlier said...... has anyone managed to get a decent ringtone yet? or any tones for me to compose? karenlee252@hotmail.com Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Sunny Vig on 01-10-2004 Ive had this phone for over six months. I love the size and the shape. Overall this phone is awsome. I have one problem, it lets the dust in and obcures the screen Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Syy on 25-04-2004 i really like my phone and i only brought it yesterday the only thng is how do you get really fab rigntones and all other stuff Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Judy Karr on 31-01-2004 I bought my Panasonic GD55 one year ago in Bangkok, and love the look, size and performance. Where I have a major problem is with the connection for the battery charger (flimsy, difficult to insert and finally gave up altogether!), the fact that it let dust in, partially obscuring the screen, and generally seems less well finished that other makes of mobile phone I have had in the past. Ah well, I suppose after one year\'s use, I can afford to look for something different, but still someone resent the money I paid for this model. Rating: ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Andrew on 21-11-2003 The Panasonic GD55 is incredibly small; maybe too small for some. Can\'t imagine a mobile phone can be any smaller before it becomes unusable. Backlighting is blue, sufficently bright and even. Screen resolution and display good. Interesting note: backlight fades on and off, instead of the usual abrupt on/off of most other phones. Quality of workmanship is average; cheap plasticky feel, loose fitting battery. Reception poorer than average. Good strong ring tones. Speakerphone loud and reasonably clear, ear speaker adequate. Poor transmission of voice calls. No call timer displayed during call nor at end of call; find this most distressing and disappointing; regard this as essential; as it allows an idea of call costs to be made. In terms of features; just the basic; it is now well and truly outdated. In summary; only buy this phone if you want the smallest phone and only require basic call functions; don\'t expect any fancy features. Prices should be falling given it is outdated, but if you wait too long it will be off the market; a replacement is already out: Panasonic G50 (colour screen instead). Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Louise on 03-11-2003 I obviuosly like the size of the phone but at the minute i think it\'s silly that i cant download ringtones or logos or screensavers coz it has no GPRS. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Daz on 14-10-2003 got the phone on friday & took it back on monday. bit sad i thought the phone was smart but when in my pocket it kept losing network, (vodaphone) gone back to my 8210, reliable phone Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Lynsey on 10-10-2003 I have had some phones, but as soon as I saw this little one, I knew it was the right one! It has everything that you could possibly want for a fairly decent price. I need a mobile for emergency use as I have epilepsy, and its just the right size to carry around town without these people jumping out at you to try and take your phone (the world we live in 2day!) As I said, the best money I\'ve ever spent, got it a week ago! Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Sat on 01-10-2003 Its fantastic great little phone & knocks the rest especially on its features. Mobile phones are for texting and making calls. I don\'t think we should take pictures with them That\'s what camera\'s are for. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by john from liverpool on 30-09-2003 avent got mine yet due in a couple of days cant wait to get it!!looks a beast!!!! oh yeah by the way look at this Panasonic GD55 review by: Name: - Date: 18th August 2003 Rating: Review: 0hhh its very good. Best phone you can buy. The camera is good <<<<<<< Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Kinny on 10-09-2003 I am an ex Nokia user. This phone has a great price and i love the fact that it is tri band and sexy to looki at. My only complaint? No businesscard can be sent or received. I have to check phone and write down facts then SMS it to the person asking for nos. Ugh! Texting is so slow too- but i can live with that. How does one put it in silent mode? Manual not complete. Don\'t even know how to classify friends under VIP, Colleagues etc.. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by jenny on 09-09-2003 Tiny phone fits in your pocket!!!! Worth the money. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Mike on 09-09-2003 I\'ve had a Panasonic GD55 for 3 weeks, being an ex Nokia fan I\'m really impressed with this small but quality, feature packed special phone. Ring tones, especially impressed me, schedule, own menu, Electric blue backlit display gives addictive clear views, hands free, wap, when you see one, you\'ll want to own it and polish it, feels good.... Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by ruby on 01-09-2003 Yes it is a small phone but it does the essentials. It has predictive text that makes texting easier. It has a melody composer and polythonic tunes and which can use as your ringtone. For busy person there an schedule, alarm and Wap to help make life easier. Also the GD55 uses the rocker key as an \'own menu\' log where you can short-cut to messages received or to sent, the scedule e,g. If you save your names to the phone it allow you to separate into friends, colleague, VIP, family etc and have a different ringtone for each. I have had the it for 2 months now and I love it. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Lorraine on 31-08-2003 Thought the phone is small I found that texting is easy using the t9. It has a melody composer to create your own tunes but I would like to be able to download chart favourites. The blue back light is cool it aslo allows you add your most used features eg, alarm, send/received messages and browser to your \'own menu\' by using the centralised rocker key. Overall a good phone Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by on 18-08-2003 0hhh its very good. Best phone you can buy. The camera is amazing. Tiny phone! Fits in your wallet!
