Like the other reviewers, I too had difficulty when I first got the XDA as it would frequently need a soft reset (it occassionally did a hard reset and I don't know why - all data was lost). I've had the device for a few months and find the biggest drawback is it's size as well as it's biggest advantage. It's not just a phone, it's every device I used to carry around. It's a PDA, easy to use for appointments and syncing with the desktop (I didn't use the supplied software, I already had syncing software installed and it worked like a dream - plugged it in and it worked.) It's an MP3 player, and with a large memory card of 512Mb it can store enough music to send me to sleep..... The camera is as good (or bad) as the first digital camera I ever owned, with the low light photos being grainy but acceptable. In use I get around 2 days from a charge but I also use the syncing USB connnector as a charger to top up the charge. A big drawback is the size. It means it doesn't comfortably fit in the shirt top pocket, and the belt clip on the leather carrier is no good for my well-rounded figure (at the waist). I've taken to wearing around the neck by using a strap from something else. Sound quality is good, and pick up hasn't caused a problem to those that I've phoned. Overall, it's acceptable as a phone, good as a PDA but think carefully about the bulky nature of this device if you're after a luxury phone.

I've had my 2s fo about 4 weeks now and on average have to soft reset it twice a day as it locks up. I do not run any additional or complex software and lock ups normally follow an extended game of solitaire whilst listening to some MP3 music tracks through the integrated speake. Battery life is awful and I charge it whenever I can. I also have the problem that it sometimes does not let you answer calls when it rings. O2 support recommended I hard reset and take the option for Corporate and not Personal in the start up, but this has not made it anymore stable. I'm still enjoying it as a gadget and especially now I have Tom Tom satnav installed, but reckon my patience will run thin if it continues to lock up this frequently.

My XDA2s has been largely very reliable, with some instances requiring a soft reset. Usually after using TomTom navigator. Screen, keyboard etc have been fine although the mic could be more sensitive as loads of people have commented that I sound very quiet during calls. Returned to O2 recently to sort an issue with WiFi and although it now connects wirelessly to networks, any page i try to connect to gives a message saying the page can't be found. My main issues are with O2 themselves declaring that as the XDA can now connect (although uselessly) they cannot offer further support for this system.

I have the O2xdaIIs, first the screen does not work. I changed the set with the retailer, and the second set was not stable, as it automatically reset by itself. I went back to the O2 centre and they arrange for me to get a new set, and i have a total of 3 sets- 3 IMEI numbers for one purchase???? With the new set, the system is not stable also, it hangs at time, and has to be soft reset. The synch function is not stable, sometimes the PC detects, but sometimes it doesn't. The battery is really a sad case, it cannot last me more than 5 hours on standby. Can you imagine relying on it as a mobile phone. So, after having this, i still have to have another mobile to ensure i am contactable? The phone function is also not stable, sometimes the phone just cannot respond to a phone call.Got to reset to get to answer call. I have since sold it away after two months with two weeks changing the phone, another two weeks using it as a spare phone. It was really disappointing. But, I have become an expert on ALL the functions on the O2 and i can provide support better than the O2 centre can.
