I believe that the phone has a average camera, much better than my replacment phone ( NOKIA 6610i ) the only real down fall of this phone is ... the ariel, that broke and that was the end of the 02 x1 for me.

I'm so glad I've found this page. I've had the X1 for over a year. When I bought it I thought it was great - easy to use, looked the business etc etc. Then I started to experience problems with the screen freezing and switching itself off. I took it to O2 who sent it away for repairs, and promised me it would work properly. Within 5 minutes of walking out of the shop, the same thing happened again! They sent it away again, and this time they changed the entire phone. But yet again, the same problems! I've given up with the thing now and am changing it. What's really miffed me off is the fact I've got #25 of credit on the phone, but cannot use it. I won't ever ever buy an O2 phone, or use O2 network again - they're complete cowboys! If you know what's good for you, avoid this phone like the plage - it's useless.

I own the O2 X1 for quite a long time. It is really the worst mobile that I have been used before. It always turn off itself and freeze frequently. I would O2 X1 is the worst phone. Unfortunately, I can't put no star in this review.

This phone is quite gd, it dont freeze or anything and you CAN get on da wap, the camera is gd for the price once at the right angle and in the right light. the annoyin thing is the chod inbox which only stores 10 messages and the 2mb of photo and video (with no sound)storage. The info tone about the call charge is annoyin and it cant be turned off. Its ok for the price but i wud reccomend payin a bit more and gettin a better phone with more on it. THERE ISNT ANYWHERE THAT SELLS THE DATA CABLE.

I really wish i had read these reviews before buyin this piece of junk..never have i had a phone that had so many faults! It constantly freezes and turns itself off. Can never access WAP even with full signal, i never get my text messages through,without having to turn the phone off and on again, even writing the text messages takes forever..might as well just call the person instead. i have to admit, i was happy with the phone wen i got it, no probablems at all, then 4 months down the line,it all goes down hill. i really think O2 should just stop the whole line of X phones..stick to being a tariff service, leave the phones to the people that no what their doing!!

I bought this phone from a friend when he upgraded, for a few weeks it was fine, then all the games went?!? It frezzes then turns off and cant save pics from the new (although its supposed to). Txt storage is rubbish compared to me old one (300 msgs) as opposed to 10. DONT BUY ONE THESE THEYRE JUNK!

AT first i thought this fone was great, having the rotating camera it seemed excellent. but aftre a few weeks i started having problems with it the games disappeared n its started turning its self off all the time. i sent it bac 4 repairs but again after a rfew weeks it started turning it self off all the time.

This is by far the worst phone on the market. Texting takes an age to do because the predictive text has the writing speed of a five year old and any text the user puts in for phone to remember is lost whenever the phone is turned off! The phone crashs more frequently than windows and that takes some doing!! The camera is terrible, the pictures look like they were taken underwater!! Ringtones, wallpapers, forget it no one supports the X1 not even O2!!!!!!! Utter utter JUNK.

this phone is such a disaster it shouldnt even get a 1!got this phone for christmas last year and its been in the shop getting repaired more than ive had it,complete rubbish freezes all the time shuts off,erases numbers and is basically a pile of ****.I understand some people on pay as you go have had these phones upgraded for free where as i have had 4 new ones and each one has broken again within a month.i think everyone should coplain 2 watchdog!people please DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE its a complete waste of time.

This phone has major manufactoring faults which showed up after about three months and despite having sent it back twice were still not fixed. If ur looking to buy this phone..DONT. Get the K700i instead which is what I did. The X1 randomly freezes and shuts down- writing a text is slow and VERY frustrating- the video recorder doesn't play inreal time but speeds up..alot and the camera simply isnt anything to write home about. NO flash unlike the k700. The only thing that this phone has over the k700 is battery life..and lets be honest all you have to do is charge ur phone up FULLY (12 hrs recommended) for the first time, let it run down to empty and ur away this vastly improves ur battery life. simple and worth it. Once again..DO NOT BUY the X1!!!

sorry o2 but it's a disaster. got an o2x1 for chrimbo and it totally broke. cos it was still under guarantee, after many arguments with the o2 people and much procrastination on their part they sent me a new one, now that ones broke! the games disapeared after about a week, it freezes constantly, it turns itself off, i cant recieve messages, what else can go wrong with a phone? a bit of advice to anyone with an o2x1 - DONT CLOSE IT UNLESS YOUR ON THE OPENING MENU!!!

I cant believe i gave this phone a rating of 1. It should be in minus figures. I bought this phone and after about 4 months it went completely dead. I know other people who are having the same problem with the same phone. Trust me if you are thinking of buying a phone DON@T BUY THE O2X1.

Anyone who has a working one of these things is either extremely extremely lucky or is lying because they work for O2 building the things or something. It has little or no Java compatibility despite 'JAVA' being listed in the features. It does freeze very often. The buttons are very unresponsive. It deletes games for semmingly no reason, even the ones it comes with disappear after a bit of use and cannot be re-downloaded. It also has no real way of transferring the pictures out of the phones small 2MB memory. On the surface it looks fairly feature packed for a phone of its generation but within an hour of using it you're almost certain to wish you chose a different handset. I am told it's great for banging in nails or smashing open coconuts when a hammer can't be found though!

Pure and utter dog mince. Dont waste your money. O2 know that this fone is rubbish and dont want to know after you've bought it. Please take my advise, DO NOT BUY. They're are plenty of other better clam shells out there. This is the worste. Freezes all the time, contrast goes wonky. Constants turns itself off when it feels like it. Ringtones are rubbish Only saves 10 SMS at a time. PURE PISH!!!!!!!!!!!

This phone is the worst mobile I have ever used. It freezes on numerous occasions - very irritating when you are half-way through writing a text message! Answering calls takes forever. At various times the display loses its resolution, brightness etc. It can only handle a limited number of messages. AVOID !!!

I bought this phone around 8 months ago and within 6 months of purchase It had already started freezing and turning itself off occasionally. This grew more constant, but did work now and again.Then i found my sound didnt work and so I couldnt hear it ring. So i had it on slient mostly and it wouldnt stop randomely vibrating and when it was on "manner mode" the lights on the front constantly flashed red,yellow and green. Then shortly after my games had disappeared,and my phone wouldnt turn off, but froze whilst saying goodbye! A couple of weeks ago the slient vibrate mode stopped working as well. I sent it to be repaired and I when I was in the shop the woman had told me that 3 other people that day had brought the same phone back and reading the reviews other people have found the same problems. If you are reading this and thinking about buying this phone, dont.

I have had the phone a while now and have had very few problems with it. I think you either get a good O2 X1 or a bad O2 X1 and I've got one of the good ones. The only problem I have is answering calls first time but I think you just have to hold the green button down and that works. My one barely crashes and I haven't lost any games or ringtones and they were simple to download. I DO HOWEVER need help with a question. Is there any way of getting the pictures on the phone onto a pc? There is a socket hidden at the top of the phone by the arial, is this where you can plug a wire in to which links to a pc? OR can you e-mail the pictures from the phone to the pc? I would be grateful for any help? My E-mail is mark_h_w@hotmail.com THANKS!

I have had this phone for about 6 months now as my Nokia 3510i broke down and Nokia were rubbish! I got this phone and its fab!Ok it only holds 10 txt messages and someone i know has been able to hold more so im confused! Its froze on me a few times and i cant recieve mms as it wont for some reasons which others have covered! The button to answer a phone call i have to press doesnt always work and i have to press a few times! Good Phone though, but i would like to be able to store more messages! From a resonably happy customer!

had my fone bout a month now and its the best fone ever! great ringtones, great polyphonic sound, excellent quality camera wif video and the rest of the fone. except 1 downside. i lost mt games. u git 2 wif it and i d/loded 3. i went 2 play 1 and they wer gon. i soon found out the reason for this. i had 2 much ringtones. tried 2 d/load them again but couldnt. i hav a mssge for all those ppl who complain that u can only store 10 mssges- y not delete them, u dont need them for ever. other than my prob wif the games i fink dis is a brill fone and WOOD RECCOMEND IT 2 ANYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had problems tryn to get this fone to start with, it seemed pretty gud first few days, then started to freeze and not receive or send txt messeges. For the price I dont think this phone is a gud buy as you cud buy a cheaper fone that wouldnt mess up on u with practically all the same features. I have to give O2 credit tho, the pictures and the video screen r amazing. But everything else ........ so 2 sum up....... Gud features =>outside decor => Screen (video and picture are excellent!) Bad Features => Screen Freezes => Cannot receive or send txt messeges ocasionally. => Only can store 10 txt messeges (irritating to say the least!) Well that is only three downfalls BUT they r pretty major factors against the fone as you buy a fone to txt and make fone calls, so O2 insted of spendin time on the fones "make-up" spend more time on the important features! My fone started to get no signal for 4weeks (so ther must b something wrong there!).....so I sent it off for repair and am patiently waiting for it as I have no fone..... :( Thanx O2! (i understand u cant hear the tone of my voice, sarcasim ppl).

well im on my second handset already and i only bought the phone at christmas. the problems did not occur till 4 months after purchase. it started to freeze and turn itself off then wouldnt work at all!!! im on my second and this one takes ages to answer a phone call as other people have commented and the screen light stays on for prolonged periods of time - wasting my battery! i have emailed O2 to ask if i can get a replacment but another model! this phone is poor. it is not too advanced for people to use, it is no where near as advanced as some Nokia phones so why can't this phone work when other phones can do double the tasks??? annoyingly this phone is more expensive than certain Nokias that are miles better!!

I just got this phone today, and so far I think it is brilliant, although it has cut out on me a few times and text messages come like hours after they are sent. Although this could be a problem, it is still a fab phone, with brillaint picture quality, good games and outstanding ringtones. (although downloaded ones may be to more peoples taste) judging from what people say I think that some of it is because it is quite an advanced mobile, and that can get the better of some people. I got this fone in June 2004. No probs wotsoever yet. I think cos i have a later version or sumat. Got good features... Camera quality is great, looks great, internet is good, can get good free ringtones.... However, things that r annoying r slow texting (cant keep up), cant add words 2 dictionary, cant answer by flippin fone open - takes ages 2 answer a call when u press green button, rubber plug for charger slot comes off so gets lost easily, can only store 10 txts, so inbox gets full quick, but most annoyin is THERE IS NO DATA CABLE. so that means u either have 2 delete old fotos, or just store em all on the fone, which slows the fone down even more.

I loved this phone when i first got it. I must admit i am still very attached but have found a few niggly problems. It kept crashin on certain games to the point where i would have to remove its battery to resume normal operation. For a while it kept turning itself off when it had no reception but I sent it back & was sent another of which i have had no probs with (though i sometimes have to press answer key few times before it answers a call!!) Though having said all this I consider it one of the best of its league. But can anyone help me as to where i can get wallpapers for it. Although it has awfully bad ringtones and pretty bad games, the camera is very good quality and it stores a lot of pictures so I will give this 4 stars and reccomend it to people!

This is my third phone and i am taking it back tomorrow, hopefully to get a refund because the phone is rubbish and all three phones i have had have been faulty. It crashes, wont switch off, the battery goes dead right after charging it fully, and it switches itself off constantly.

Got it in February, my wife uses it, not really worried about all the bells and whistles, just wanted a straight forward reliable phone. It fails on both counts. The user interface is very poor compared to, say, the Nokia (I have a 6230 which is far superior and easier to understand). The four "soft" buttons seem to swap randomly as to their use. Texting interface is not great (though have to admit I'm not an expert). Most disappointing is the reliability. The standard freeze/switching itself off faults were few and far between at first but gradually got worse, and it became unusable around mid June. It's being "repaired" now but reading the reviews here my hopes are not high. Basically, avoid this phone!!

I have also had problems with my o2x1 and the camera of mine is faulty the phone switches itself, the green light on the front freezes and in general the phone is rubbish. O2 are refusing to give me a new phone as they are saying that i have damaged it even though on the repairers delivery note it states faulty product. I men how plainy simple is it the phone is faulty i should have a new one. Customer services send you round in circles and make sure you dont get a new phone. I have now been told to go back to the shop and demand a new phone even though they have been withdrawn from all O2 shops. Because i am on contract i have lost a months minutes as they couldnt give me a loan phone and am also tied in for a year . have to say, i haven't had a single problem with this phone. yes, it turned of a couple of times but that's coz i was messing about with it and doing things i probably shouldn't have been. it looks wicked cool, and because this is my first mobile, i have had not problems adjusting to it. i personally find it very easy to navigate, though i sometimes forget where a certain thing is located. the pictures it taked are great quality, but i think my cats are getting sick of me aiming it at them all the time.... i have a question. how do i set downloaded pics as wallpapers? they are currently stored in the Push Inbox but i don't know where to go from there. sadly, the handbook is utterly utterly hopeless.

I bought this phone at Christmas for my daughter. Has been back twice for fault. Phone freezes out -only way to reboot was to remove battery - losing all data. Have since got two replacment handsets. Just picked it up today. Watch this space. Phone is obviously faulty and is rubbish.

My son bought one of these phones that subsequently developed a fault within 2 weeks. He took it back to the shop where it was purchased and received a replacement phone that developed the same fault within 6 weeks (some improvement I suppose). The fault is that the screen freezes up rendering the phone unuseable. I only gave this phone a rating of 1 because a 0 was not available.

Do not buy this phone. I have had one since Christmas. It has been back to the 02 shop three times for the same problem. The phone freezes out and the only way to re-boot is to remove the battery - thus losing all data stored. It is rubbish.

i can honestly say that this phone is the worst choice i have ever made!!!got all the same problems as everyone else...phone keeps shutting of,cant sent or recieve text messages,screen goes off,cant accept pic messages and the texting is so slow.i really hate my phone and when i did take it back to the link where i got it on pay as you go they were not interested and said that i would have to pay to have it sent off.to top it of i only got the phone to get pics on my pc but have since found out that you cant buy a poxy data link cable so whats the point of the cam!!!IF ANYONE FROM O2 READS THIS,YOUR PHONE IS A JOKE ITS THE WORSE EVER AND I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD COMPLAIN TO WATCHDOG AS ITS A RIP OF AND ALL YOU AT O2 NO IT!!!!! Hope lots of o2-x1 (experienced) users read this, as too many people I could e-mail for advice!. I got this phone pre-Xmas 2003 and I'm sure the phone does much more than I realise even now. However, I finally enquired yesterday in an o2 shop as to how I transfer photos I've taken on my phone to my pc and was told you simly e-mail it to yourself!. I was amazed at how simple it was BUT 24hrs later from e-mailing it, I have still not got it. Trying to get some help and advice from o2, whether it be through all the phone numbers they give you, the website or by e-mailing gets you absolutley no where!!!, you either get told to ring another number or you just get cut off!! I also wanted to enquire as to why I am able to download ring tones but my phone won't let me download wallpapers or text tones. The phone itself I am pleased with (millions time better than last one!) BUT yes, it does occasionally 'freeze', I find, if you are texting too quickly. There are a number of tunes but not all that! All in all, a pretty phone!, quite impressive but you need to really understand it yourself or have a smart friend! Biggest annoyance is not getting any help or enough instructions from O2!! hi i bought my phone at the end of february, it has frozen about 4 times but only if i am tryin to do lots of things at once and the phone cant keep up with me, i like the phone a lot though, but i cant access the internet or send or receive photos, could anyone tell me if i need to go back to the o2 shop and register my phone to be able to do this, i am on 'pay as you go' if it makes a difference to the phones ability?!

The phone is good having fun but does anyone know how to save your own words in the t9 dictionary? its a pain having to keep going back to normal writing so that you can type in your word? I av hd this phone for a week now and i think its super thte quality is outstanding and the price what can i saw cheap or what. The camera is really good and i think it could compeat with the big boys.The zoom quality is great. Some of the games are cool but i would just download some or bye some. The ringtones are good but i just bye some of da latest ones. The sound quality is excellent. I think dat this phone will go a long way. Dis phone is COOL All you people that got dis phone RESPECT.

It's ok. It looks good, the camera is fine and if you can live with being tied to O2 for everything then its a pretty good choice, except for one thing: It cant store texts! :/ They are saved to the SIM, which in my case has just 10 slots. How stupid is that? The handset has 2mb of memory for photos, and not a single byte for message storing! Grr. I'm taking mine back simply because of this, but if you dont feel the need to have texts stored then I can recomend this phone.

Whatever you do - DO NOT GET ONE OF THESE!!! I upgraded to this phone in Dec 2003, since then it has been back and forth to my O2 shop for repair and upgrading. Since the last repair my problems have become increasingly worse. I got my local O2 shop to phone customer services this morning and after a hell of a lot of ranting and raving by me they have finally agreed to change the phone. Yippeeee. I obviously refused an X1 as no way am I having those problems all over again, I am waiting for my new phone to be delivered, I have chosen a Sony Ericson T610, which in comparrison looks a hell of a lot better and cannot be any more unreliable. My message to you guys out there is moan like mad to customer services and you never know they might finally get the message that this phone is a pile of c@@p!!!!!!!!

Had the same probs as everyone else!!Freezing when im texting, Connection to other Phones got so bad that it was impossible to make or receive phone calls!It turned off about 6 times a day which can be very annoying as it sometimes took between 5-10 minutes to get it to turn back on! However i took it to the O2 Shop and they could tell me exactly what was wrong with it without me even telling them! (shows how many people have complained?!) They said it was a software fault in the o2x1 and sent it away for the software to be replaced. ive got it back and everything seems to be fine with connection and it hasnt froze or turned it self off yet!so its a good start! : )

weli i bought this back in niv and thiught it was a brilliant phone. 5 months later, im counting down the days til my years contract is up and looking fwd to getting another nokia & leaving o2. this phone has been a major disappointment. its slow, texting is awful and phone reception is always bad. dont buy this phone wat ever u do!

When I found out about the o2 x1 I thought it was the perfect phone for me, and up until recently it really has been good. Occasionally I'll go to look at my phone and it will somehow of turned itself off, it has only crashed a couple of times though. I only recently worked out how to send photos to other people so I\'m happy about that,but, when I recieved a text message the other day I found that because my phone was open and I clicked ok to read the message, the message disappeared!! So I did the usual things like, turn it off, take the sim card out but still no message, but it still has the little envelope on the main screen and it annoys me everytime I look at my phone cause I think I have a message, when I dont!!!! So is there anyone who knows how to get rid of this envelope or will i have to wait until the message comes through even though I have been waiting a whole day now!

This phone is an accident waiting to happen. Constantly shuts itself off, freezes, people cant hear parts of conversations. The list is endless. Repaired variuos times- O2 store say speak to insurance company and they say it is the O2 stores problem. Such a poor service, I will never use O2 again and will use my x1 as a paper weight.

I have been waiting since Jan for this phone and it finally arrived yesterday. At first I was impressed, but already Ive been experiencing problems, the main one being the display goes pure white on about 50% of the times when I flip the phone open, in effect crashing. Not happy! I think the phones features for the price are great, but if they dont work properly then there pointless.

Bought this phone on 26 January had all the usual problems, but on 12 February i opened my phone to find that there was a black line across the screen and that below that it had gone white. Took it back to the link and they sent it away only to tell me that it was a crack and that i had to pay for it. I have done nothing to the phone and now they want me to pay 70.00 to have it repaired when it will no doubt break again within a week. My suggestion, dont buy an o2 X1!!!!!!! Think we should all write to watchdog!!

I got this phone and thought it was cool. Then hated it! I'm stuck with it for another three years! However, if you want a phone that keeps freezing whilst you are playing java games, fails to send MMS', has c*** graphics, no data cable, no sound when using motion capture and there is no data cable for then this is the phone for you!

When I first got this phone I loved it for a day- but since then it has been nothing but a complete pain in the arse. It constantly switches itself off or freezes, it won't receive or send MMS, the picture quality is really poor and the keys are so unresponsive it takes 10 mins just to send a text. There's also loads of other little annoying features about it that I can't think of right now, but that do my head in on a daily basis! I would trade it in for my old Nokia 8310 any day!

Well, all i can say is that i received one of the good handsets. I could not have asked for more. I ordered it from 02 online and received it the next day. Brilliant value, great features, great handset. It\'s a shame not all of them are good. I warn all of you however DO NOT ORDER THIS FROM O2 ONLINE, YOU LOSE OUT ON HALF OF THE WARRANTY TERMS!

Its quite a good phone although mine has recently started switching itself off which is very annoying. Apart from that its been ok although the reception quality isn't very good. For free ringtones go to www.polyphonicringtonez.com/wap on your phone and you can download loads - it'll only cost you the price for going onto O2 Active which is about 2p per page I think.

I bought this phone from the link on pay as you go around 3 months ago and its like the best phone ever. Ive had no problems what so ever with it it. Everything seems to work perfect and it has never turned itself off once apart from when the battery has been low. Photo quality is amazing and the sound of the ringtones, i downloaded some games and ringtones which were quite pricy :-/ but they were worth it. Such a fab phone and i reccommend it to anyone out there who is thinkg of buying it.

Im now onto my second phone with the intention of getting this one replaced. Both so far have had all the problems already mentioned with the exception that it erased my sim card.........Although ive gave it a rating of 1-poor, the features it has are good and i like them with exception of when i recieve a mms msg the picture is really small (is this normal). If i manage to get a third phone and it works bug free then i would gladly recommend it to everyone. if anyone has info on the size of my pictures i receive then feel free to email me stephen4@blueyonder.co.uk

I would give this fone 9/10. The reason for this is that it is small, compact and has possibly all the features you would expect from a mobile of it\'s price. Only downside is that it lacks connectivity by infa-red and blue-tooth. Other downside would probably be that it can only store 10 messages, but really if yuo\'re that popular then just delete them!! All those people who complain that the motion is too fast, SHUT UP. This was an additional feature and it isn\'t even listed in the specifications. Ringtones excellent, images great. Could have increased storage capacity, hwoever the capacity varies with the quality of imaging you choose to use. Games can be downloaded only from the 02 website for money, a little annoying. At the moment, i would reccomend all of you who are looking for a phone to shop around. Although it is worth it\'s price there are other handsets that are more reliable as they can be unlocked e.g. the samsung v200. I use my mobile alot for business and have found that i have had to purchase a substitute for using abroad as i can\'t unlock my X1. Most important thing of all, make sure you choose a mobile to last you a few good years.

hi ive waited 8 wks for this phone. had it for 4 wks and got a mms fault where it froze the memory, then i got it replaced then two wks later i ve got another fault. o2 are sending phones out with faults and they know before hand. then they gat you to waste 50p a min to fone ther customer servives.

AVIOD THIS PHONE LIKE THE PLAGUE. I have had this phone since November and im counting the days until I can get out of the 12 month contract that im in. It switches itself off constantly, freezes, will not let me download wallpaper, only lets me get ring tones off the official o2 website that cost B#2.50 a chuck with regards to the other websites that you can get tones for free and will not let me send picture messages for love nor money (witch im quite surprised at due to the fact that it rips you with the ring tones. (With regards to o2 at least Dick Turpin wore a mask)

saw the o2 X1 on the o2 website and thought it was a real good phone for the price, The specification was excellent, and the camera and video capture looked great too. After a short while getting used to all the different key functions I thought i would try out the MMS media messaging function. So i took a picture and tried to send it to my friend who I knew had a compatable handset...... No good Send failed. Eventually i found out that you had to activate the MMS service, but in the manual it said this phone was ready to go, and said nothing about registering the GPRS and MMS functions by phone. So having overcome this hurdle i managed sucessfully to send a picture, however any MMS that comes to my phone I\'m unable to open, It says the file is there but comes up as blank screen. VERY Frustrating as each attempt costs 32p !!!! I still have not managed to recieve a picture on my phone. After a while i noted that the Txt messages i was recieving were upto a couple of days old...... not much use if your arranging to go out or meet someone. This got so frustrating that I tried my Sim card in my old phone, and straight away got about 5 txt messages that were sent the last day. There are 2 arcade type games that were already on the phone, and these are quite entertaining until somone calls you in the middle of the game, then the screen freezes and the only way to clear the fault is to remove the battery.. and loose the call. Lastly, the buttons dont allways activate the functions and you find yourself pressing them repeatedly to get to a caller. All in all this phone looks great, really good camera function and video capture, but i cant help feeling that it was launched before all the faults were eliminated. They even have a dedicated help line for faults on this phone it is 01925403815 I am currently returning this hadset when I can get through to the o2 help line. All in all one very dissapointed 02 customer Simon

The o2 X1 Cold be Better. i am on the online offpeak 500 and the phone is fine. except for ocasionally the LED light on the front of the fone keeps freezing and i am not shure y? does any body know? i have realised that wen u play 1 of there java games which has brill graphics you close the flip and the fone freezes. does anybody know why o2 have made such a poor fone? now i have to kee it until dec 04 as based on a 12 month o2 contract. but the looks of the fone change my mu=ind as they look so sleek and sexy. so i would deffinately order the X1 as the fone is Excellent except for these mimor glitches. if any one has any Questions contact me at : rebelo89@hotmail.com cheers good luck chris rebelo hertforshire uk

Following my review of 17th November......after having 4 of these phones in the house and complaining to O2 on numerous occasions, I eventually had a response this week that a new batch of phones have arrived and we will be shipped one asap. I will update everybody on the new batch and see if its improved the many problems.

VERY very sorry about my first review!!!! I went out and bought the phone an i had only been using it for 2 hours, andit had already started to play up, i honestly dnt think this is because of problems at the stores anymore, my m8s has also started to play up now, and has resently stopped turning on. I took it back the next day and they advised me not to get another one. I am now going to get the Siemens ST55 and am hoping that it is alot better, fingers crossed!!

Ive had my x1 for about a month and a half now and although its got every problem thats been mentiond on here i still love it. mine turn off randomly, freezes, locks on the key pad, doesnt diplay names on the inbox, u cant change the colour of the front light (its always green), u cant download new message tones u have 2 have the ones supply\'d, if u try 2 download an image off wap it freezs straight away then turns off even if ur jus try\'n 2 view 1, u cant download java games 4 it and if u do manage 2 they will b gone by the next day i gaurantee! u have no choice of the format of the clock (24 or 12 hour), and worst out of all of these problems there is no call manager like on nokia or ne other fone 4 that matter, if sum calls u it will show the number but u cant save it u only get the options 2 call or exit and u do ne of these then thats it the number is gone, what im tryin 2 say is u cant save the number of a missed call plus theres no way 2 see who called u last or whe! n they called u. i am really hping o2 can sort out these problems because if they do they its deffinately the best phone out there it looks amazin its light and the camera is the best ive seen exept when ur in the dark or slightly dull weather in which case u dont stand a chance of gettin any image on the screen. oh yea and i missed out that the videos are played bak twice the speed u record it and it cant b changed. if u can live with these drawbaks then ull love the phone because im fussy about things like this and im still prepaired 2 live with it but sayin taht i waitin on my mum bringin me home a new 1 right now, there is ment 2 b a new fault free batch but ill belive it when i see it. oh yeh it freezes on games 2

Hi, Although I have not yet bought this phone, I have used my m8s many times. I found absolutely no problems with the phone when I was using and as far as I am aware my m8 hasn't found any problems with it either. I played all the games including Golf and found no problem with any of them. I think the best feature of this phone is the video capture, its like having a mini camcorder on your phone. It also means u can record personal messages to people on the phone, and then send them to other phones. The phone interests me because of its 65k colour screen. This makes the display more vibrant and it also makes the pictures a lot better. I think that anybody who is having problems it is probably not the phones fault, it may have been dropped during delivery or in the store u bought it from, even in its box it could still do damage to the phone. Anyway I will be sure to submit another review when I have bought the phone.

I got the phone about a week ago, and I have been impresed with it so far. Its polyphonic ringtones are fantastic, and its cool flashing lights add that little bit extra to it. The only thing that irritates me is the way the inbox is. You see the first few lines of the txt and not the sender which is irritating! The camera quality is the best iv seen on a mobile phone yet! Wallpaper cant be downloaded at the mo, but a gr8 site for getting ringtones is http://www.free-ringtones-free-logos.co.uk, theyv got a massive selection, just go to the polyphonics page and type what u want. The x1 is a midi ringtone phone. If anyone has eny idea where u can pick up a data link cable for the X1 id be greatful if u cud email me at crazyfil@hotmail.com. Cheers!

My son bought this phone from the Carphone Wharehouse on 30th December. It continually locks up and switches off when using WAP or Games. The actual quality of the phone especially the screen is excellent. What really lets this phone down is the lack of an infra red port or the ability of O2 to supply a data cable. The cable really should be included in the price. Whats the point of a phone that has an inbuilt video camera and you cant move the videos to your pc? I\'m hoping to get the phone exchanged for something a little more reliable. This is definately not a finished product.

I dont know what all the fuss about the phone is either! I find it easy to use. the phone crashed once when i closed the phone when playin a game but that was it. The photos are quality and you can zoom in and out on them. The motion picture is cool. Ringtones could be better. This is the second one i had becuase the first one didnt work but this one fine! Overall i think the phone is really cool!

Hiya, I\'ve had this phone for a week and to be honest, I don\'t get why some of you people can\'t work out the menu! It\'s so easy! Just press the right direction button to scroll through options- where\'s the rocket science?! I really love my phone, and haven\'t experienced half as many problems that you\'re all talking about. The phone looks gorgeous and I find it really simple to use. The camera\'s really good- better than people\'s I know who have paid so much more. The motion option\'s good aswell, i\'ve never seen a phone that can do that. I also got a really good deal- the handset was free and I pay #25 a month for 500 texts and 100 mins which is great if you like texting like me. I think this phone is perfect for somebody who wants a simple flip phone that looks smart and does its job! I\'ve had no problems with freezing apart from once when I was playing golf! The only other faults I could bring up are that the battery life is very low and I haven\'t been able to d! ownload any ringtones or wallpapers yet! I have put a review on for this phone already, and i completely take back what i said. This phone kept turning itself off all the time. The screen inside the flip would be black as though it was off, but the screen on the front of the flip would look like it was on!!!! I missed calls all the time because of this. When i telephoned o2 to complain, they told me that nearly every x1 they had sent out had been returned. they were getting a new batch in end of Jan, but they wouldnt advise me to have one of those either!!!!!! I now have the sony ericcson T610 - its a great alternative to the x1, better, and far easier to use. If there is anyone out there who has sent the x1 back and dont know what to pick, pick the ericcson T610!

The problems on this phone are increasingly frequent and really starting to annoy me. It was only when I logged on here that I realised that was was happeninh my phone was happening to others....others can\'t hear me,poor key reaction to texts,freezing,turning itself off,delay in ring cut off when answering a call etc....I got it in Nov and its the last straw now.Contacted o2 and have to return it to a high street o2 store which should be fun .I really would just like my upgrade option online to be renewed to choose another phone and if I don\'t get a satisfactory outcome from the above I will be striving for that! The funniest and most unbelieveable thing is that when I asked the girl on the phone why then has the o2x1 been withdrawn she told me it was because they were so so popular that O2 decided to stop stocking themn as they couldn\'t keep up with the demand! We know the reason and I was in fact insulted that she thought I would believe that. Watch this space....

got this phone of the links website on january the 3rd its the best phone ive ever had. it did crash once when playing mini golf but ever since ive never had any problem with the phone. well worth the money

Hey there! I am really getting annoyed now! I have been wnting this phone for months. Everyshop I go to they have none seen as they have all been recalled to the warehouse because of faults! They keep saying within the new 2-3 weeks but it never happens! I appreciate it isn\'t the phone shops fault, it\'s o2\'s! So please, O2, hurry up! I LOVE my O2X1 there is no faults with it at all!!! it takes the BEST pictures better than my mates she has the Nokia 7250i the pics r tiny on that!!!! the ring tones are not da best but it doesnt cost alot to download them!!! the ppl that say its rubbish are chattin rubbish!! the way it flashes when it rings or get a txt is soooooooo Cool!!!!! it also does motion which is wiked n guess wot mine plays bk at the rite speed too!!! if u are goin to buy 1 dont let the other ppl put u off!!! it put me off but i still got it and its amazin!!!!!!! I mustve been very lucky. Mine has never turned off by itself. the battery goes down fairly quickly but thats if ur using the phone a lot to do stuff like play games. I d/led some cool ringtones for free. Yeah the games are naff but if u really want good games u can d/l them but i aint bothered about those kind of things. Its got camera and u can set photos as background and it does have zoom. I think the price is good for a phone with a camera and such. Was just wondering if ppl having no troubles had it on contract or off contract/pay as u go? Cos i had no troubles with mine being off contract.

I got this phone for christmas, I\'ll be honest, alot of people are saying that the menu\'s are hard to navigate, they are. But after a week, I was used to it, it\'s fine, the camera is great the polophonic sound is stunning, I really can\'t fault it. As for the turning itself off lark, mine\'s never done that. Absolute bargain for #169.99.

ive had this phone now for 3 weeks and i think it is gr8. I have had sometrouble wiv the games which rnt very gd.But the ringtones r very loud and clear.The camera quality is excellent and the video function is just superb. I would strongly advise u 2 get this phone because it is the best.

this is quite possibly the worst phone ive ever had...even worse than a philips!!!!!not only that but the cost of getting in touch with someone at 02 is astronomical!!!got the phone for my wife as xmas present...downloaded some games and...hey presto...next day 10pound later..theyve gone!!!!!7 emails to 02...no reply!!!today.12.1.04.had to phone 0906 no.they said go to an 02 shop with the proof of purchase and theyll give you another phone...great!!!but why has it taken since xmas day to find that out?my advice is dont do it with 02 at all!!!!leave them well alone!!!im on a contract too so ive no choice!!!:-(.p.s.when i went into the 02 shop they said.\"this is 02 retail ,we\'re nothing to do with 02 online!!!!!!!!!!grrrrrrrr.

I absolutely love this phone. No problems with mine either, although if you ever need to get through to customer services, make sure ur comfortable because u\'ll have a long wait, press 1 for this, 2 for that, and every button u push keeps asking do u want to buy something. As I said though the phone is great and it\'s excellent value. Everything good has already been said so I will just re-inforce it.

i bought this phone on the 5th of december. got a new one today cos it wasnt holding its charge. iwould charge it up in the morning and it would be dead in the evening. but had to wait 2 weeks to take it back cos they had none in stock but the new one seems ok.

this phone is fantastic got it as an upgrade from my 8310 for just 69.99 and 50pound free call time, i dunno where all these people are finding all these things wrong with this phone because its fantastic maybe i\'ve been lucky and got a good one. Oh and btw if the MMS and/or the GPRS isnt working all u have to do is phone o2 on 08705678678 and they switch it on for you, simple!

oh dear oh dear ive had three of these... it must be one hell of a faulty batch for meto have three!! It turns itself off, the games and downloads dissapear, it doesnt hangup when i tell it to, u have to push the same button 20 times before it does something, it crashes if u txt to quik/talk to quik/breath on it. I have the repair number for those who have 8w eeks to wait without a phone... its 01925403815... given to me by the kind and rather embaressed people at O2. Seeing as Phones4U have stopped selling this.. i might try for a replacement yet again!

The O2X1 looks like it should be fantastic on paper!! Believe me its not!! This phone has been the most unreliable mobile that i have ever used. I have had 2 in the last 6 weeks both of which have been faulty. The fault being that they crash/freeze/turn off. If you get offered this phone on an upgrade DO NOT take it, pay some money and get the samsung e700!!! The 02X1 really isnt worth the hassle folks!

Good phone got it recently and there are no troubles and it seems faultless. Nice camera with good quality and lots of different camera settings. U can d/l some good ringtones and store 8. there are some good wap sites to d/l free polytones. I would recommend getting it.

I haven\'t bought this phone yet, but have been thinking about buying it - that was up until I have read the rather mixed views about it. I have a couple of queries about the phone which I was hoping someone with the O2 X1 could answer for me: 1) When you take pictures with the camera, can you set them as your wallpaper? 2) How much does it cost to send the pictures you take with the camera to the computer, and if you are on contract and you get free text messages, can the media message (which is how the picture is sent) count for your free texts? 3) Also, if I were to buy the phone now, would it still be from the faulty batch? ie has the new batch been released yet? ok im worried now, I have ordered this phone from a catalouge and they told me it wont be here for a few weeks. After reading EVERY review I realised half of them say buy it and the other half say no way!! Then I have seen people mention that there is a new non-faulty batch of phones released now, but is this true? Or are o2 trying to keep us happy? I bought this phone just before xmas, supposedly one of the fault free batch. I returned it this morning. It is a beautiful phone, but it froze on wap, and playing games it switched itself off. MMS didn\'t work, I got a message saying delivery failed. When I received texts, the sender\'s name didn\'t appear on the received list, just the first few words of the text message - so unless the sender wrote their name at the end of the message, you had to work him/her out from the phone number. The lady at the o2 shop said \"how strange\". The video footage plays back double speed like a funny silent movie, and can\'t be adjusted. It\'s a shame because I really like the phone. If you\'re prepared to put up with these faults, it\'s a nice phone with a great screen. But I want a phone that works properly.

This phone is fantastic! I have gone from a 3410 to this and i am amazed how good this phone is. The Camera and video clip function is superb, the ringtones once u download ur own are great and the golf java game is fun to. I have experienced only one fault which doesn\'t bother me that much, basically if im playing a java game and i flip the phone back to to stop it for some reason the phone switches but if you exit the game normally with the menu it is ok. Other than that the phone has been faultless, i havn\'t had any freezing yet which is a good sign. I was a bit worried that my reputation as being in the matrix when txin someone on my old phone would be ruined but i\'m glad to say this phone\'s txing is fine, it is slightly slower than the Nokia\'s but once you get used to it you will be just as quick. If your thinking of getting this phone i hope this review has put any doubts out your head. I\'m delighted with the phone and i\'m sure if you get it you\'ll be as delig! hted as i am!

Got this phone on New Years Eve, and at first found it hard to accept it. My last phone was a Sony Ericsson T68i, which had everything apart from polyphonic ringtones, so I felt like it was a step back with the X1 - no bluetooth for a start! After a little while, it started to grow on me! I downloaded some decent ringtones and managed to sort out my problems re the phone book.... (for some reason if the name and number is stored on the phone memory it wont display the name if they call, it will only display the name if the number is stored on the SIM?!?) Also the predictive text SMS got some getting used to - does anyone know of how you add words to your dictionary? I\'m sick of changing from predictive text to normal text to add a word not in the phone dictionary.... if anyone knows please email me (em@demonicangel.co.uk) I cant complain, after all the phone was free from O2 online (I was shocked to hear others had paid #170 for it!!!!) Dont know where you can get wallpapers for it - even accessories seem to be few and far between, although I did get a handsfree in the box - what about other accessories - havent found an in-car charger anywhere! Come on O2 - enough people have the phone surely to warrant some decent wallpapers and accessories! All in all I give it 4/5, but only because my Sony Ericsson did so much more and yet is so much older..... I think its a lovely looking phone, but they could have added more to it!

To send MMS, you have to contact O2 and get them to set up a MMS tariff for your sim-card - apparantly it\'s not doen automatically!

Has anyone else got this problem with their phone? Sometimes when I receive a text message when I press open it will show me a message already from my inbox or one I have recently deleted! when it is doing all this I will try and read messages in inbox (as you know it displays first bit of message instead of name)and it will show me a different message to the one I clicked on! I eventually get so annoyed I turn the phone off and back on and it is fine then! Also yesterday the green LEDs were flashing constantly until I turned to phone off! Don\'t know when it started doing it until my sister asked why my phone was flashing. I\'m gonna try and take it back to 02 shop tomorrow, as it says n 02 site that after 28 days you have to take it to shop if it is faulty, not to send it back to website. littlemissmelodramatic@yahoo.co.uk

i retract my last statement, this phone is not worth your time, o2 active has stopped working, i have been told that my media messages will be activated in 12 hours that was on december the 23rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it keeps on freezing!!!! if they offer me a new one they can stcik it up there A***!!!!!!!!!!! they told me that this was a new batch and there wernt any faults but they are wrong!! the helpline is a joke they havent got a clue what they are talkin about and half of them carnt speak english!!! it is really starting to p me off, so i am sending it back and getting my money back, NOT WORTH ANYONES TIME!!!!!!!!

Very good camera phone. Got it for christmas, came a couple of days before. Took exactly 10 days from the day I received the \'Out of stock\' e-mail. The O2 X1 is all you need in the latest camera gadget, even includes the 10 second video mode. Which, if I had a data cable, could come in very useful. The cam stores around 2mb of pictures and videos. The pictures themselves are nice, but not outstanding. You get what you pay for though. People say the ringtones are poor on the X1, but all you need to do (like I did) is connect to WAP (the o2 hotkey) and download some good ones! The X1 also has a handy organiser, a couple of games which are quite likely to freeze when playing and messaging stuff. The bad things about the X1 that I\'ve found is that the battery doesn\'t seem to last long. I charged it for 5 and a half hours, and it lasts around a day if you\'re using it alot. The other thing about the phone is that it\'s hard to download wallpaper images through WAP. Some of the things on O2 Active say that the phone is not compatible. Other than this, the phone is excellent in what it does. These nasty rumours of it being a terrible phone and useless are just bad input from the first batch coming to the market. It looks like now that O2 have got their act together. Now bring out a data cable O2!

i really like this mob but xmas eve the screen went funny so i turned it off and now when i switch it back on the screen is white. nothing comes up on the screen. i have tryed taking the battery out. i dont know what to do because i took it to an o2 shop and they said they cant help because i got it off net. when i ring the helpline its always busy. any suggestions? jemmawild1@hotmail.com

I got this phone yesterday for Xmas but bought it last month and so far it seems fine-no major problems really, just a few little ones like my old pay and go O2 sim card not fitting in it (which I have no idea why it doesn\'t) so I\'ve lost my 300 free txts a month! The camera is excellent and although the navigation takes a bit of getting used to because I\'m used to a Nokia, it\'s a really good buy. I would say it\'s most similar to the Samsung T100. I wouldn\'t mind getting a data cable for it but I doubt that there are any available because it\'s so new. A good polyphonic FREE ringsite is http://www.ringtonemania.com - I can\'t get the http://www.free-ringtones-free-logos.co.uk site to work for me :( Does anyone know a good free wallpaper site? got this phone yesterday as part of my crimbo. what can i say truly the best camera phone for around #109 of o2.co.uk/upgrade (you can get an o2 x1 for this price if you have been with o2 for over 12 months and spent a certain amount of money). There is no faults with mine so far but i have waited for 4 weeks, i think this mabey from a new batch that have had all the bugs fixed. The coloured leds on the front of the phone are a nice feature, tho they do get annoying after a while. easy to navigate menus (well for me), easy to write sms, and phone manages to keep up now. Screen is one of the best, compared to the sagem myx6 and other 65K phone out. Camera is one of the best ones that if used, there is only a few tiny draw backs to this phone: 1) The ringtones there not the worst but could be better tho 2) Not enough space for alot of new ones you can download about 8 in total 3) Lack of accessories for the phone, No leather cases yet. No Data cable yet, and a lack of wallpapers for the phone. No phone is perfect but this one does come close, closer than most of the phones i ve had. What a dissapointment!:-( The phone has basically everything wrong with it!! People that say they havnt had any problems with it so far trust me they will come!!! The menu freezes! People cant hear you when talking! You cant see the name of the person who is calling or txting you just the number!! All these willo come to your x1 through time and will annoy u just as much as they did me! PEOPLE I RECENTLY EXCHANGED FOR THE SAMSUNG V200! What can I say the Samsung v200 is totally trouble free! The samsung v200 has everything the x1 and loads more, only the samsung actually works!!! o2 x1=:-( Samsung v200=:-D Believe me stay away from the x1!!!!

Had the phone a few days and impressed by features and ease of use.The screen is colour full and bright and easy to read.The phone menu is a little bit tricky but practise and patience will bring results. The ring tunes are out of this world in tune with all the sound effects. The manual is excellent and the use of plain english makes it easy to read and follow instructions. To sum up an excellent phone with all the features you would need.A good phone.

I had this phone delivered yesterday, i have been playing with it none stop! It is great! The ringtones are good, clear and loud, unlike the samsungs that ring from the inside when the phone is closed! No probs with the pictures, or the screen freezing and i have been on it non stop for 6+ hours today!! yes i know i\'m sad! i find it easy to use and to say i have always had nokia\'s thats a good thing cos we all know how great they are. It is slow at texts, but it gets the job done, i am happy so far. I\'ve had this phone for a month and honestly don\'t bother, it is full of faults! Everything bad you\'ve heard about it is true and I tried to convince myself \"it\'s good for a free phone\" but it\'s not, it\'s absolutely useless, keeps crashing, you have to write texts really slowly so it gets all the letters, and so that it doesn\'t crash and the battery is always low. if you are using the phone and get a text don\'t try and read it before the tone has finished playing as it will crash and then you need to take battery out to get it back working. Just wondering, people who\'ve had their\'s longer than 14 days, were you able to get replacements? I want to go back to good old reliable Nokia! I couldn\'t stand this for another year! I got the o2 X1 yesterday after waiting ages for it to be delivered and i can honestly say that so far i cant fault the phone. i can easily sent photos, its easy to text, the menu is easy to navigate and the picture quality is amazing compared to my last phone - the T610. i\'ve not had any problems with the phone locking up or crashing and no one has complained about me cutting out on phone calls. The only thing i would fault this phone for is the software isnt brilliant, it does the job but is a bit basic for the screen resolution. Also when you\'re reading a message and you press \"ok\" it calls the person which is a bit frustrating. I dont understand the people comparing this phone to a Nokia as incase you hadnt realised this phone ISN\'T a Nokia and if you\'re no good with change or a slight increase in complexity then stick to a Nokia and its simplicity. I\'ve found that i had so many more problems with Nokia\'s that i\'m grateful for the complete change. Overall, for a free handset on a very good tariff you cant really complain!

I\'ve read all the other review with interest because I came across a few problems with this phone myself. I am on my second phone now as after about a week the first one started to put distorted lines across my pictures, however the pictures looked fine in the image manager. Even pictures I took b4 with no problems started to get distorted. Now after a couple of weeks my 2nd phone is doing the same, plus i\'ve had the freezing screen once. It\'s a shame as I like the phone itself, but after having problems with both phones and reading your comments here, I think it\'s time to take it back to 02. However by the sounds of it, it looks like i\'m going to have fun in trying to take it back. I might go for a T610. Alarm feature is good, it can wake the whole house up (no make that the street)

Ordered the o2x1 3weeks ago none to be got anywhere, was hoping to get it for my sons xmas but will have to wait to the middle of January,so I\'m just giving him 2 tin cans and length of string in the meantime.

I wouldnt bother with this to be honest. It wond send photos to other phones, the keys are stiff and hard to text with, and in the text message inbox, u cant even see who its from until youve read it. The ringtones, while good in sound quality, are c###. Heres hoping 02 will let me change it for the Sony Ericsson T610!

I bought this phone quite recently, it looks great, takes alot of getting use to especially if you had a nokia.Can anyone help me? The caller id just seems to display the number & not name of caller and same in message box, the senders name doesn\'t come up, and the first line of message appears where in most phones its the name. Alot of shops didn\'t have it in stock and in one shop my dad was told that all the O2 X1\'s had been recalled due to a fault. I Can honestly say i have had this phone for 2 weeks now and i cannot complain in the slightest it has never crashed and signal has been full bars all the time, i will recommend this to anyone, but bear in mind that nokia is the leading phone and is a lot quicker than most phones, but this is not slow, just takes getting used to!

I got this phone not so long ago and think it is brilliant, looks nice, is light and compact and the colour is really good. Just one question though, does anyone know if it is possible to take the sound off when taking a photo, i did put the phone on silent, but doesn't seem to make a different, there is still a "click" sound effect when the picture is taken, if anyone can help let me know! - lou_x_02@hotmail.com

Got this phone a few weeks ago and so far had no problems with it!!!! No sign of the freezing that some people have experienced! Camera quality is great and the video feature is excellent, although not quite sure how to play clips in real time!! Has anyone experienced any problems recieving picture messages cross-network? Sorry to say but Ive just had several problems with this phone as well. 1) kept freezing (about once-twice a day) and only solution is to take battery out and back in. 2) poor recption quality, when talk everyone has complained that the sound volume is very low and i keep breaking up. 3) it cant recognise text messages and incoming calls from the phone book! it can only do one or the other as it seems to only accept txts with a number including +44... but for calls it only accepts numbers with no +44 Theere are not many downloadable games avilable yet (only 5 i found on 02 web) but that doesnt bother me and the golf game was fun. The camera I thought was excellent and motion capture good too. Colour screen great and phone looks class. But end of day mine has had several faults. if O2 had tested this a bit better and have rectified these faults now then it would be a good phone to get (although prob not as good as samsungs pic phones, sony erricsson etc but for the money with o2 x1 it would be good value).. Im afraid im going to have to give it a 1 though - which is a shame cos at first i thought i was onto a winner

Same old complaints im afraid guys. first impressions of phone great tho, looked really impressive, nice size etc. However, after charging it, started to use it and within five minutes(I kid you not) it started to freeze, and turing itselfs on and off and on and off and on and off! its a pain in the arse when txtin! keypad pretty stiff, you cant use it very quickly. Data in predictive txt thing seriously limited, ringtones really naff. And today it froze, and refuse to turn back on, even tho fully charge and has been handled with lots of care! rang 02 and complained, seemed to think it was something I ha done, very dont care attitude from support staff (not really on at 50p a min!). anyway, gettin a hopfully better replacement, so we sahll see! i got my o2 x1 at the start of the week and havnt had any problems with it. The photo quality is better than most phones i hav seen. The ringtone that come with it are pretty poor, but the one i downloaded free from www.free-ringtones-free-logos.com/ are great. got this phone today, its brilliant. ive read other reviews from people saying that the phone freezes a lot of the time but so far mine has been fine, and the features are quality, though the video thing is a bit odd, it duznt play back @ the right speed :S ah well. the little l.e.d\'s that flash when the phone rings are blinding, they could light up a pitch black room!! i know someone who has got the samsung equvilant, and i reckon the X1 matches and even beats what it has!!! nice one 02!!! anyone know if you can save pictures to the phonebook? get in touch, fun_luvin_criminal69@hotmail.com, cheers

Great phone, the only problem i have is that yeah it does sometimes freeze up, i seem to find it freezes if you press the buttons like a mad man and try to rush things, and don't close the phone when you are playing a game that also sometimes does it. One problem with O2, my number starts with 07746, and i can't recieve messages from other netowrks (only from O2) I can send them to other networks i just can\'t recieve them. But hey you people on other networks can't send them to me. Upon enquiring about this mattter O2 told me 3 things, my phone was okay as i could recieve messages from O2, DURGH stupid women in customer services didn't have a clue, the next dude told me it was the number i had, the next dude told me some settign on the computer system was wrong he changed it then he said it should be ok and i should get my messages in about 10 mins after turning my phone off and back on, DURGH, stupid man from customer services, the fourth time the guy told me i should ! not have been told the problem was fixed, it is infact a problem with Orange and Vodaphone in that they are having problems implementing the o7746 prefix into there system, now well this all seems a bir strange, suerly networks are having to add new numbers all the time due to the ever increasing demand and population. This all being well and good, well and bad even, i have e-mail both orange and vodaphone to see what they some up with, and if the problems not sorted soon im going to b0||0c& the lot of em expecially O2 for miss informing me. This problem isn't with the phone as i can recieve messages from nayone when i put my old sim card in, so why not use that one, well i can't use O2 active with my old sim card :(. So all in all i could be missing out on important messages, Buy this phone by all means its great, but if you get stuck with an 07746..... number i would either recommend taking it back to the store and asking for another as they should know of the problem or! phone O2 enquire see when it will be sorted and aks them for another one, its all a bit long winded isn't it buts its a problems if anyone else has 07746 as a pre fix plz let me know what you've been told by O2?

Changed my mind from earlier review. It freezes all the time. Has no download avaailabilities at moment because its an o2 phone and will not have for a while. The photo quality is poor unless in VCA mode but then the photos take up so much space u can only store about 10. Video plays back in fast forward. Also MMS doesnt work I have heard these are all frequent problems with the phone and got it off the o2 website because of their quality deals. BUT don\'t panik I sent mine back and on the same contract fot the Ericsson T610 and it is awesome. So much better then the x1 with all the functions you need. Trust me! jonnyelworthy@hotmail.com

o2 have withdrawn the o2x1 from the market, i\'ve just called o2 to buy a o2x1 for my husband for xmas and they have withdrawn it from the market, because of a lack of inerest, (aparrentley, the advisor couldnt give me an exact reason for the withdrawal exept there has been a lack of interest because it dosent give a callers identity when someone in your phone book calls it only displays a number, well i think its pants and subsequentley thats what my husband may now get for xmas.

I got this phone a couple of days ago and i have to say that i have so far found it to be a superb handset. The screen is good with the 65k colours and is great for the photos and games. The camera; this is an excellent feature and takes suprisingly good pictures for a camera phone. I like the zoom feature which comes in handy. In the shop they didn\'t tell me about the motion ability so was pleasantly suprised when i got it home and found it by the photo option. This is also very good but i have found that i am unable to play the clips back in real time, as they phone plays them quicker and there aren\'t any buttons that can be used to slow it down. Does anybody have and answer or suggestion to this? (my email is james.mcloughlin@lycos.co.uk) The games; you get two games and the ability to download more (though i have not tried this yet). The two games are minigolf and Jumping Bear (I think). I prefer the minigolf and found the JB to be rather boring. However, they should both be suitable for those boring times when on the train or in work ;-) These games are also Java which makes it easier to download new games as their are more websites and O2 active is available. The ringtones; i read a review saying that these were pathetic but belive them to be reasonably good. You get 30 altogether which gives you a good choice. Remember, if you like others fail to see my point, there is the website www.free-ringtones-free-logos.com were you can satisfy all your ringtone needs. Another good point, is that the ringtones are extremely loud and the vibrating is very strong and have so far never missed a call! Another point that other people have commented on is that their phone is constantly freezing and the software crashing, but i can safely say (touch wood) that so far my handset has been great. I believe it to be the luck of the draw whether you get on of the minority of phones that are faulty or one of the moajority that are fine. GPRS; on my prevous phone i never had GPRS and never used WAP, but since getting the X1 i have found i have started to use it alot more. For example, i wanted to know how the Mighty Liverpool had got on at the Riverside stadium but was nowhere near a T.V or radio so decided to have a look on my phones net. It was very simple to do and in no time i was reading all the footie results. Also, i needed to know when the next train was leaving from my home village, so as i was on the move i just looked on the internet and found the times. Easy :-) Slow menu\'s; the advice i give you about these, as i admit they are quite slow compared to other phones i have used, is to just chill as what do a few milli-seconds matter? I have used the phone quite alot so far, and havent found the menus a problem though they are a tadge slow.:-) Overall, i belive this phone to be outstanding, as it offers value for money (at #170 on PAYG-compared to it\'s rivals like samsung) and ton\'s of fab features. The camera is excellent, the screen is excellent, the ringtones and games are great fun and the call clarity and reception is also excellent. More of the same complaints I\'m afraid. Seems to be a problem with the Java games, causes freezing and blackout. Phone doesn\'t register on the network when people try to call me. \"S.O.S. calls only\" displayed in an area with full coverage. I bought mine through the O2 website because the 500 texts + 500 WAP minutes seemed easily the best deal around. The so called e-care is simply appalling: well, actually non-existant, just generated e mails suggesting cleaning the SIM card and trying the SIM in another phone. Absolutely no personal response whatsoever, the only other option is to dial the helpline at 50p a minute. Sent it back and I think I\'m getting a replacement, but it seems from the reviews here i am simply wasting my time. Caveat Emptor.

I GOT THIS PHONE A FEW WEEKS AGO AND SO DID MY COUSIN LISA.IT IS THE BEST PHONE WE EVER HAD. THE COLOUR SCREEN IS BRILLIENT AND THE PICTURE ON THE CAMERA IS GREAT.ITS EASY TO GET RINGTONES ECT. EVERY THING ABOUT IT IS GREAT.THE DOG EVEN GAVE IT THE PAWS UP.

I really like this fone except for one thing i find it really hard to write txt msgs. i have just upgraded from a nokia 8310 and i chose this fone because i wanted a colour screen and an integreated camera which are fantastic on this fone but i still cant get used to txting slowly. I would also like to know how to send picture msgs?? whenever i try it just says msg fail and i dont know what to do. so if anyone could help me with this please reply to this review. thank you

This is an excellent phone, with a high quality camera when set to vga mode, and a decent quality camcorder which can record animations, so you can get yours friends when there boogeying on down, lol plus its a rotating camrea, so you can quickly snap an image of yourself. This phones got excellent features, games have no sound, thats the pre-installed ones like, ringtones aren\'t bad, some are bad but theres some good ones on there. Menu look nice can be a bit slow though, LEDs on the front of the phone go banana\'s when ya get a call and they change colour from yellow, to red, blue green and purple. The front LCD display shows the date time, battery level, signal and the network. Mine came with free #20 airtime and a fee hands free kit from the Link, quite genorus really, i think this is an excellent phone if you want a top range model, without forking out around #250 - #300. PURE BARGAIN :D WINSY!

Superb phone but I have a few quieries. Does anyone know hoe you play your recorded videos back at normal speed because mine play back like they are in fast forward! Also when you go into o2 active it says phone not compatible. Is this because it has only just been released and all the ringtone sites etc have to put this phone on? Overall great phone! I have wanted this phone ever since my gf looked at the phone in the O2 shop a few weeks back, we got a little demo of the camcorder type playback and that looked amazing, i was really impressed so i decided to order one much to envy of my gf who has to wait to crimbo... But what i am wondering is all the problems seem to be consistant like the sound quality and it locking up all the time,are these the main problems? is this phone going to be a constant problem? Reviews on here seem to be mixed...I have had a motorola c350 phone which is just rubbish, i have a siemens S55 which is OK picture wise and quality wise both have there problems, so is this x1 just like most mobiles with problems or are they quite major problems? I am getting this phone for Christmas. I have had a play about with it in The Link and I cant wait to get my hand on it! Just 36 days to go!!! (If you\'re reading this on the 19th Nov 2003:p) I no this sounds really sad but I was wonderin if anyone knew of anwhere I could get this phnoe cheaper. I think #169.99 is a gr8 price for a camera,colour screen, polyphonic ringtoned, WAP phone! but I just wanted to know if I could get it cheaper. Looks cool! Well done O2! Guys honestly - don\'t go for this phone. Had lots of emails with the same problems as me: 1. (main problem) signal - if you make/receive a call in a full signal area, as soon as you press the green pick-up/make call button the signal completely disappears to one bar and then fuctuates between 0-2 bars - which is why people cant catch what you are saying. 2. I received a replacement and it had the same problem. By this time you would have spent a fortune calling customer care (which they will eventually refund). 3. The phone freezes up at least 3 times a day (especially during calls or when sending text messages) 4. It also swtiches itself off frequently during calls/txts or any other time it feels like it! 5. Eventually it was too much - i had to really complain because the screen went completely blank and never returned. 6. When you go 2get help (as other reviews have stated) it is not good. Previously o2 denied any faults with the phone but by this occasion they admitted to me that these were common faults with the phone (esp. the blank screen) 7. Just to top it off - all they will offer you is a cruddy replacement - i.e any of the old phones they are giving away free on their website. Total con - so for those of you who are new to o2 get used to it as you got a whole year of them. Lucky for me this was my second year and they are allowing me to cancel my contract for this year. Honestly, i\'m not a sceptic or trying to slate o2 they were really good until now - their tarriffs do seem to be the best but you would think they could come up with more than that considering the trouble?? I\'m really not out to slate the phone either cos it would have been a good choice if they had tested it properly b4 lauching. I just wanted to save people the bother i have had..

i bought this phone on friday, and it started freezing as soon as i got it home, sometimes the screen goes black and locks most times it just freezes, also the phone carries on ringing even when i answer! i took it back today and swapped it for another handset of the same phone...THis has the same problem!! i WOULD NOT recomend this \'phone\' better off using a pay phone! not impressed.

I upgraded from ye \'ol 3310 to this and what a beast! Obviously I will notice the modern features more than others may, but yeah I can\'t complain! Decent Camera function, excellent utilities and layout, & it just looks so sexy! LCD screen is sharp and colourful. Although I do have two problems with it, I don\'t know whether its just my phone or what but if i program the phonebook with the +44 extensions, Texts are recognised but Incoming calls aren\'t. Conversley, if I program it with the normal 07765 beginning for example, Incoming calls are recognised but Texts aren\'t! Can anyone help? Also how the hell do you switch the thing on silent or discreet mode without having to manually turn the volume down in the settings? email me on supercell_seltz@hotmail.com But yeah, apart from that, HIGHLY RECCOMENDED EFFORT FROM 02!! I ordered one of these as a free upgrade to my old Nokia 3330 but have now returned it because of a couple of faults. By the way, the phone is actually a rebadged Maxon MX-A30 with a couple of customisations for O2. I think I prefer the brick style of phone to the clamshells, but thats just personal preference. Good points: The phone looks very nice, though I did think it looked a bit plasticky at first. I could see the \'chrome\' bits wearing off in time. Nice size and weight too. The exterior screen shows lots of information, such as the time/date and similar icons to those that are visible on the main screen. It also displays the callers name when you get a call, but you still have to open the phone to reject a call. The screen is very bright and clear with a good resolution, though mine had a couple of dead pixels (one reason for the return). The camera seems good quality for a phone camera and the ability to take motion shots is nice. Camera phones are just a gimmick in my opinion though and not something I\'d use much. The phone is loud enough to be heard, both for speech and alarms/ringtones. The vibrate is strong enough to make it noticeable, even when it\'s in a jacket pocket. The menus seemed easy enough to follow and the shortcuts from the main scren to the texts, call lists and camera where nice to have. I liked the control over the alarms as you can specify what days the alarm should be triggered. 3 alarms too, which is good. Though a shame that the alarm tones are all really bad. Bad Points: While the quality of the ringtones are fine, the initial selection on the phone is pretty dire. O2 should have waited for a couple of months before releasing the phone as the support for it is non-existant. I asked their customer services about the support for it on their Active site and also about a data cable but they said they had no information on either. Games support is limited too and the games on the phone aren\'t that great. No sound on the games supplied. The lack of an IR port, bluetooth and the lack of information on the data cable means that you can\'t transfer information between the phone and your computer (short of setting up your own wap site!) - so no downloading pictures from the phone or uploading ringtones that way. I also had serious problems with the microphone on the phone (the other reason for the return). People kept complaining they couldn\'t hear me. This seemed an intermittent problem but was really annoying. I noticed that the signal strength drops right off if you touch the aerial - easy to do during a call due to the style of the phone (especially if you hold the phone in your right hand, like me). Texting is not a patch on my old Nokia. The keypad is not very good for quick texting and the T9 implementation doesn\'t have the \'nice\' features of the Nokia (No capitalising words, no smiley dictionary, no predicting punctuation, 2 key presses to get a full stop). Overall: It\'s a shame because with a little more thought and better support this could have been a really nice phone. I recently bought the 02 X1 on the 13th Nov. i think its a great fone, nice design great camera (although image quality cud be better) and sum nice features! only snack is that i cant find a way to get people into a caller group without starting from start an entering the names into the fone book again! also you can see whos sent u a msg in the inbox without reading it to start with! but other than that i,m glad i,ve bought it. i,ve got sum great ringtones from www.free-ringtone-free-logos.com an now i,m trying to find sumwhere to get sum wallpapers n images. if you go onto the wap an select downloads it says fone not supported! wat the......? anyway things can only get better. any problems or questions email me: michael.nicholson@kcom.com

Phone arrived Thursday, by Thurs evening I realised it had to go back. No-one could hear me as it constantly cuts out and the signal goes down to 1 bar, whereas my Nokia 8310 has a perfect reception wherever I am. I actually bought two hands, one was on pay as you go for a friend, and it has exactly the same problem - I was being referred to as \'Norman Collier\'. I do, however, love the phone and have re-ordered another one in case it was just a bad batch but if I have the same prob again then its going back same day and contract will be cancelled. Not sure if its something to do with clamshell style phones as have read some reviews on the Samsungs as they appear to have similar probs. And whats with the ringtones - they are terrible. I downloaded the Nokia Tune from www.polyphonicringtonez.co.uk absolutely free of charge where they have a large selection.

Great looking phone, although mine suffered with software problems. Phone locked up and would\'nt respond, had to take battery off quite a few times. Sent back after 10 days, ordered a T610 instead. My wifes X1 is also playing up, does things like carry on ringing after you have answered the call, may have to return this one as well ! My sister in laws phone kept shutting off, I think O2 need to sort this out soon. Would have kept the phone if it had been more reliable. quite a few people have sed they dont know how to get it onto silent if u hold down the star key then it goes into a thing called \'manner mode\' which is silent ringtone but still vibrates

This phone is a absolute fantastic phone,with the intergrated camera,brilliant picture quality,its light and stylish and it even beats the nokia 3650 by miles and the phone also has 65k tft tht says it all!!! And i didnt know at the time tht it had video facillitys which made the phone even better 4 capturing them special funny moments.The downside is tht there is no data cable for it(well not 2 my knowledge) and it takes a little time gettin used 2!! Had a demo in an 02 store. It looks absolutley amazing, and the camera quality is perfect! The ringtone quality is first class, and you can even take videos with the camera. It\'ll take a bit of getting used to how to use it, after having a nokia, but it is a great phone overall. Haven\'t tried the games though.

Good phone, just upgraded from Nokia 8310, took some getting used to, but once u work it out, it\'s great! Superior in every way to the 8310, except that the battery life is not the best. I\'ve two queries: When playing back a motion shot, it goes at double the speed, anyone know how to playback normally? This is a phone definately worth buying. I am looking for a new phone for christmas and was ready to buy the Sony Ericson T610, however I stumbled across this luckily, and i was blown away. The T610\'s lowest price for Pay as You Go is #169.99 with a text saver from orange, but it isn\'t such a great deal as i discovered. Im going to buy this with \'Pay as You Go\' but since I never call, I shall just text, and as it comes with 500 free texts a month (16 a day), I wont be spending anything! My brother has the Samsung E700 which he recently purchased, and it is a great phone, but way more expensive and with only a few more gadgets. For #169.99 this phone is incredible. I suggest to anyone looking for a new phone with camera etc, buy it, its the best price for a great phone anywhere around. What a deal! Wrote a review earlier and only gave this phone 3 out of 5. Ive now upgraded my review to 5 out of 5 A lot of the ringtones on the o2 site cannot be downloaded onto the handset but all of the ringtones at a very good site www.free-ringtones-free-logos.com can be downloaded onto the phone which is great. The video facility on the phone is also excellent? Anyone know if there is a data cable for this phone and where to get it?? I cant find one anywhere but the phone has an option for data cable speed so there must be one

Re: David Dickinson, you can add your own words to dictionary, I worked it out by accident, you need to write the words with gaps in between all the letters like this: B i r m i n g h a m. Then close up all the letters using the back arrows and cancel button, it should now be saved into the dictionary, hopefully. it dissapears if you don\'t use it much though, like on the Nokia 3410 which I had before. I\'ve emailed 02 asking about the caller groups, no reply as yet, it seems a bit stupid that there\'s a caller group feature but the handbook fails to mention how to add contacts too it, doesn\'t seem like the phone can do it either. But I have managed to download ringtones from 02 Active on WAP, I just ignored the compatibility warnings just to see if it would work, not sure if it will work from other sites though, so don\'t blame me if it won\'t work for you! the Alarm\'s a bit loud but at least it wakes you up in morning, no chance of not hearing it! The camera and video features are brilliant, cam could do with flash though, as doesn\'t show up well if you are somewhere with subdued lighting, ie: the pub. good quality with daylight though! does anyone know if you can save media messages sent to you as wallpaper? if anyone can help or just wants a moan or a chat littlemissmelodramatic@yahoo.co.uk

I got this phone yesterday and I like it! it is different to my old Nokia but I\'m getting used to it already. For those who earlier want to know how to make it completely silent if you set it to tone only and turn the volume right down you just get the flashing lights! All in all a good phone I think.

Hi guys, following my previous review i thought i would update you with some info... I had to send my orignal phone back because of the sound quality and guess what... the replacement has the same problem. My friends can only catch part of my speech. It is not the signal because i have never had any problems with o2 before, and i can see on my phone that i have full bars of signal. I have also had a few emails from people with the same problem. If you had another phone in mind then maybe you should go with it, i wish i got the sharp gx20 with vodafone now but i\'m stuck with this.So far this phone has really cost me - the help line 50p p/min, cost of sending it back, all the downloaded ringtones (which are not saved to your sim). I know its free and it looks nice etc but honestly i think this could be one for watchdog... email me houseL@croydon.ac.uk

The O2 X1 should not have been realised to the public!! I brought mine on the 11th November 2003, thinking i had brought a cool phone. The thing is you cannot make it \"cool\" as no company has any downloads or ringtones for it. Even going to O2\'s website is not worth it as the phone is not even listed in the drop down menu\'s and there ringtones are not compatible. This may change and i hope it will, but unless you are prepared to wait i would go with one that has been on the market a while. You also cannot get a data cable to transfer pictures from and to your pc, they have not made one yet is what i was told by O2.so when they do, how much extra am i going to have to pay. Also there is a fault on there O2 services which i (at my own expence) had to report to them as they did not even know.This phone\'s overall quality is super but O2 need to pull there finger out to make it the best on the market!!!

Well I just got this phone today and it\'s brilliant. I\'m not someone with patience with phones but everything is easy to learn and superb graphics. I just love taking picture it\'s so easy! A really pretty phone. The only problem was that i couldn\'t find at first were all my saved pictures were going duh! thumbnails!

Im not too sure about this phone, i got it today and am having a few doubts about it. The screen res is brilliant, the camera is also great aswell as the video feature. A downside is that when using predictive text u cant add words like u can with the nokia so u hav to get used to using normal textin agen. I used my old o2 sim card with this phone and am getting charged for wap via gprs which im sure isnt supposed to happen - anyone else had this problem? Another problem ive found is that on o2 active wen u go to download a ringtone it says that the handset is not compatible which means that if u desperaely want ringtones then u shud get one of the more popular makes like nokia or ericson

I only picked up the phone yesterday and like the majority of other reviews think it is excellent. The screen reolution is so clear. im the envy of all my friends! Very impressive looking, superb colour screen, excellent camera functionality and picture quality, superb sound quality, even has video feature, very clever intergrated hands free that hangs phone round neck, only downside is no profiles, but hot keys are as quick to do same thing.. definitely one to get!!!

Had my phone for almost a week now. Very impressed, great quality still and motion pictures plus zoom is good as well. Takes a bit of getting used to after having a Nokia not quite as simple. My only problem is with the ringtones. Does anyone know how to attach a downloaded ringtone to a calling group or can this not be done? Ive had the phone for a couple of weeks now and it is quality, went rock climbing at the weekend and took my phone with me. Got some brilliant pics plus with the video facility i got my mate abseiling down the rock. just waiting for a data cable now so i can get pics off the phone. i would recommend this phone to everyone its a wicked bit of kit!!!! plus it was free form O2 website.

Just got da o2 x1 n tink it is wiked apart from a few things. It is a bit complicated with the buttons n they dont react asquick as i type which is annoyin but then agen it mite bet that my fone could be faulty i dont know. Well worth the money tho as the looks are well good and the lites on the front are wiked!! camera is ace n the colour quality is fantastic. i just hope using whilst i hav it on the 16 hour charge dont bugger it up- email if ya no or what u tink of da fone on angelfire_becky100@boltblue.com thanx

I got my phone yesterday and at first thought it was great. Don\'t get me wrong it\'s a good phone but there are too many things about it that annoy me. The colour is great and the standard of the photos is excellant. The downsides are only small things. Like when you go into the inbox it shows the start of the message instead of the person that sent it! Also the predicitive text is not up to standard, especially after having a nokia! Takes far to long to add someone into the phonebook or send a message. Not bad overall but not a phone for simplicity and quickness.

A great mobile at the perfect price. The only gripe I have with the phone is that you cannot have it totally \'silent\', if you switch off the tones then you have to have vibrating alert and the vibrate on this phone is like a mini earthquake! The good thing about this phone is that it takes all of the good features from different telephones (camera from Samsung, layout from Sony Ericsson and text modules from Pana GD87), and brings them together to form a great value camera phone. It has been described as a \'budget\' phone but how can any phone be budget when 6 months after release you can recieve it free of charge on most networks! If you get the chance to get one of these, take it!

I have a problem with the phone-can anyone help me? when someone is calling me there is no caller display - how do i know whos calling, it doesnt say their name, even though theyre in the phonebook! does anyone else have this problem? how do i fix it? also, its a really slow phone, the buttons cant keep up with how fast i press them. good camera though - are we able to email the photos? cheers x

Hmmmm, where to begin? I love the camera, the quality is great and the swivel means you can easily take photo\'s of your face or the room. The ringtones are col, and the fact that its a flip phone is pretty sweet, but unfortunately there are a few things i aint pleased with. I\'ve only ever had nokia phones before and i love how you can add words to their predictive text messages, but not with the o2x1. This means you can\'t swear or name places or nicknames without typing them manually EVERY time! Also in texts (and phone book entry\'s) the first word isn\'t automatically capital lettered, neither after a fullstop (might seem quite petty but when you\'re used to it...). Everything just seems a little bit more confusing and difficult than it needs to be. To add a new number you have to press about a million buttons whereas i\'m used to the nokia hardly typing any! Even to just send a text to a number in your phonebook takes ages! Seriously think about it before you buy, i\'m thinkin about sending mine back.

Just received the phone with an o2 online paymonthly contract..great deal with 500 texts/125 mms free a month . Phone is pretty with the camera so much better than my old 7250 (nokia) and interface is easy to use too. Very impressed with the polyphonic sound quality and good array of tones. Super value for money NOKIA BEWARE

Had the phone for 4 days now, the first thing i did was download some ringtones as the ones on the phone are really bad! (honestly - not one decent one) It was a big shock from nokia which i am used to but overaall it is very easy to use the menu is really simple. The camrecorder is brilliant. I had my heart set on the GX-20 but this is well worth it if you are thinking of value for money (o2 online tarriffs are excellent and the phone was free)so can\'t complain. The only problem which i have had, and may need to send it back beacuse of this, is that people can\'t seem to hear me and complain that i am breaking up even with full signal. Huge diapointment when after 2 days the keypad intermittently locks up, can get calls and texts buit cant do anything with them! Camera is fun, its my daughters and we get to see their party highlghts!! Anyone had this problem? We are going to send it back.... is there some freaky keypad lock we dont know about?

The phone visually is stunning, with multi coloured leds on the front which go crazy at various moments, sleek chrome edges and brushed silver. The phone is remarkably simple to use, based around the samsung style of phone. The screen is fabulous 65,000 colours and a large screen size helps. The camera is the best I have seen in a \'budget\' phone providing some great shots and the swivel lens helps. Downsides are few, the alarm is WAY too loud providing much panic at 6am. Call quality can be suspect as well, with the volume of the other person going quiet then loud or missing words. All in all, a great phone for a budget model, but I would suggest trying it out first.

What a great mobile!!! I got it free from the o2 website, with an excellent pay monthly deal. Such a handy-sized phone and the rotating camera with motion playback makes it all the worth while. Took abit of getting used to, as I\'ve only previously had Nokia phones... but the O2 X1 is definately worth getting!

Opened the box and was blown back. What a stunning phone. Started using it, different story. Cant download any java games (must be a compatibility problem) struggle to stay connected to wap or gprs. The games and Ringtones are crap, games dont even have sound. Then again my phone might be faulty. On the plus side. The camera is excellent and the screen looks fantastic. Every time the phone rings the lights go bezerk, you can almost turn the lights of in the room and have a disco. Decent size and weight, flip front, buttons are not too small but then again they are not too big either. Class buy, chuffed with it, but think i might need to wait on a data cable coming out for it to get my games, ringtones, walpaper etc.... on the phone.
