Good phone with excellent features let down by slow initiating camera and software glitches even on a standard non mutilated system. This phone should have been the benchmark for others to follow but with most nokia flagship phones there is always the "but" . would love another one if they manage to sort it out properly as i only buy flip phones

Still using this phone. Why? It's the last decent clamshell phone that was made. I was working as a fabricator when I bought it and the abuse this phone has taken is unreal. Drop it on concrete, fine. Drop steel on it, fine. It's because the screen is protected by the case, the size that puts people off it is what makes it useful. If I leaned against a steel support to weld something with an I phone in me pocket I'd probably be looking at a new screen. The camera has paid for itself 10 times over too. Involved in a RTA a few years back and took video straight away, later the guilty party tried to claim I'd pulled out on him which the video from this phone proved was impossible. Love the browser on it too, very easy to use, I prefer to switch images and java off and it cuts the data used down to a quarter. I'm just off to the gym with me favourite mp3's on the mini sd in me phone. 3 years strong and still going well. Come on nokia give us a modern version of it.

This may be a lengthy review of my 93, perhaps for the long period I have been dealing with it. I am a fan of the flip phones, and when Nokia released that I couldn't resist, though I have long been (and still) fond of Sony (Ericsson), and am considering buying the Z1010 ISA. I don't know why Nokia keeps on selling phones that last only for one year? Sales? Is it a corporate hidden policy? I know I shall buy another but don't push me to the purchase option, especially if it is like the hellish N96!! Buttons fade away with the normal everyday usage, with the speakers getting aged and the listener could hardly listen to you. I am mentioning these features in particular cause I am a basic phone user, and that's indeed my special reason for buying a flip. The camera gets darker after launching it for a few seconds, and indeed you may lose an instant shot before your cam is ready. Again Nokia has this troublesome making when you plug in the speakers, as your phone may ca ll in any of your contacts if you left it out there in your pocket (voice recognition that can never be turned off). Even bluetooth connection is too slow, if it happens to get connected at all, and the phone gives memory full error even after removing most of my precious data, to the extent that you may really consider another phone as a backup! Sometimes the music player stops when you flip down the phone, asking you to keep if wide open if you wanna listen to your favorite music, and this needs a sluggish restart if your ears still want that song! I haven't used the more advanced options like the Office nor the PDF, cause the basics can hardly work. There are no system crashes thank God, and the battery can still work to the last second. Sometimes it can not recognize the new memory installed and keeps on telling me of the unsafety of removing mem while it is still open, though I swear I didn't even who is that 000 dared to touch it?! To cut it short, don't expect the advanced options to work with you fine, and hope for the basics to work the way you want them to be. Don't expect it to run for a long period. I am having a Z200 that can perform the basics just fine, and can't get what I want here. Looking for design? N93i is what you are looking for, but care about functions after some period.

I own a N93 and found out to be good phone as middle age person. It is good for those who look for all-in-one concept. The very good feature of this phone is direct TV out which enables to play the recorded videos on tv or pc at any time. I found also it quite heavy but once you start using it you will used to it heaviness.

i have owned this phone for almost a year now and have to say I love it. i'll simply list the pro's and cons as some reviews babble on a bit.... i bought this because of the outstanding picture quality it boasted about and seeing as i had one daughter at the time and another imminent, i wanted a phone to capture their cute smiles on and also record onto dvd quality video. pro's: 1.video quality really is amazing. simply record (advise you get at least a 1GB memory card- micro SD) and then attach to your TV or dvd recorder as i did and watch in glorious colour on your TV. really looks great on the big screen and you lose no quality at all. 2. Camera is also top quality with the zoom buttom very well placed and the flip screen ability very useful. flash also attached for darker shots, which it will automatically use if it does not feel it is a light enough room or shot. 3. very easy to use menus. simple as ever from nokia. 4. battery life is great for a phone that boasts so much on it. use it a lot and it WILL require charging every night. 5. great sound quality from external speaker when you have realtunes for your ringtones you lose none of the quality in the sound. CONS: 1. It does tend to freeze or the screen goes blank from time to time. I had mine sent back to 3 to be repaired but nokia simply sent it back to them with a new screen protector. I found that if i did not have a photo as a screensaver or background then this problem went away. after all, if you use too many of the phones abilities at once it will crash just like a P.C. does from time to time if you run too many programs at once. 2. SIZE. it is a huge phone, but then i bought it for its features. if you want a phone that does not get it the way of your whole head when you use it to make a call then stay away from this. although bluetooth solves that problem. all in all the N93 is the dog's proverbial for filming and taking pictures. not had any problems with signal and find battery life more than adequate. if you want a camera phone, buy one of these. you wont regret it. i'm about to get either the LG viewty or the N95 for my upgrade from 3 so i will review the one i opt for.

As a user in the United States where "wow factor" phones are in short supply I am extremely happy to use an N93. Anywhere I go my phone seems to catch peoples' eyes and, as corny as it sounds, is a great conversation starter. The bulk is a little cumbersome at times, but as far as it not fitting into a pocket is false. On a daily basis I keep my phone in my pocket, even when wearing work clothes, such as slacks and khakis. Obviously the transforming factor makes the phone very original, but my favorite attribute is the speaker for the mp3 player. The quality and loudness of the sound is great. The only drawback is that I'm having a hard time finding a replacement lens cap and adapter to fit 3.5mm BOSE headphones. I probably would have not dropped the suggested retail price on this, well because I'm not rich and $700-800 is ridiculous for a PHONE! I was able to get it at wholesale price and I don't regret any penny of the purchase!

Ok, so, this is what I saw here: many people say "outsatnding", many say "auful"! This is because this phone is both good and bad. It has the most featuresr of all (exept for the n95) but: it's big, the screen may flip while in conversation, the OS may stall sometimes..it may be a bit slow sometimes..(windows isn't?? ;)),etc BUT, the phone has a really well protected screen by th aluminium cover, the stdby is longer than n95,it's a real pleasure to open it and use it like a real camcorder and the flip the screen horizontally to make everybody around gaze at you...etc After all I'm pleased with it's funcionality and woundn't change it for the n95(it has no display protection)

N93, what a phone, fantastic, had the phone for 6 months and can't fault it, the size isn't a problem, it actually makes using the phone enjoyable, no more messing around with tiny buttons, the camera is outstanding, you can flick through the menus quickly, and great for playing games( you can flick the screen sideways so playing games in wide screen ) if you want a excellent mp3 player, a excellent camera and a phone that is quick and easy to use then this phone is for you, if the size is a problem the the N93i is a more compact version with all the same features, if you have this phone offered to you on contract or see it as pay as you go, GRAB IT, you will not want to let it go

I still have about 700+ of free memory, but sometimes my fone runs slow. It cannot perform multi-tasking either, like for example, when im sending an sms, i cannot easily go to the fone's menu.

Have To Say I Agree with Majority Of Reviews On Here,Here We Have A Great Looking Phone,With All The Flash Gadgets A Phone Could Have :: 3.2MP camera 3x optical zoom, auto focus, 20x digital zoom, Carl zeiss vario tessar lens, flash ,plus a whole lot of other camera settings, music player supports any format thrown at it mp3/aac/aac+/wma etc. also equalizer settings large on screen display 320x240 pixels 262k, 5 way scroll key with deicated keys for capture and zoom functions direct connection to compatible tv, bluethooth & Much More. One Major Drawback I think Is The Size Of the Phone, This Phone Is Big With A Capital B. Shoul d Be Called Super Big, No Chance of getting this baby into the pocket. **ALERT** One Major Flaw with this phone Is the Battery Life, To say This Sucks Is An Understaement,If U Like to Play Games And Browse the net make sure u do offline, as browsing online and using various funtions on phone zaps the battery, One time i had a fully charged phone 2 hours later it was drained. its that bad,Also Another flaw ive noticed is that the phone for no reason just turns off, which has happened more than once, ive had this phone now for 3 weeks. I have to once u get over all the gadgets this phone with it's flaws will raise there ugly head. Which is why im selling the phone due to irractic problems with this phone.I woudn't say this is the best phone ever made,Its good but it has some serious flaws Which are named above, Firsty If U Want this phone go to your nearest phone dealer and check out this phone. Im Reselling And moving onto something else, the battery life serverl'y sucks.Cant see the point of charging this phone every day.. **VERDICT** Every Funtion Ur'll Ever Need,But Has Serious Flaws.BEWARE !!!!!!!
