I like the E63 a lot apart from one thing - mp4 videos freeze every few seconds before resuming. It's very frustrating and if anyone has fix for this, I'd be very grateful. I've tried using an 8gb micosd card instead of a 4gb but there's still the same problem. The phone is great otherwise and easy to use.

I chose nokia e63 cause of its business capabilities. My current estimates for contracts and price list are at my finger tips even without my laptop nearby. However, I wish that it has a dual sim model. That I can arrange the apps to sooth my priority is super. I can also switch from a personal to business view is fantastic. When I plug my handset to a subwoofer I have a small-but-mighty home theater. I guess since its a business phone and its the original make, its volume is not so loud and noisy.

I have had this phone for several weeks now, i would recommend it to anyone, it is amazing. It is considered a Blackberry alternative, but in my eyes it is so much better, especially with 3g. The user interface is very business-like, but also catergorises everything into folders. It is amazing for business, it has a speedy internet with its 3g, and wi-fi compatibility for cheaper and faster web browsing, and also includes useful things such as Microsoft office (powerpoint, excel, word), and once you connect with your email your homepage is connected with your social life (it also allows you to switch modes, meaning showing different apps on there). The four shortcut buttons can be replaced with up to 8 different places, allowing you to be anywhere on the phone within one click. The keyboard is truly amazing, allowing you to tap out emails or anything really without any hesitation - my only complaint being the character key and function are tucked away, which is awkw ard. The camera is very good quality considering it is only 2mp, but having a flash makes up for this! You can connect to ovi store to download music, games, wallpapers, or anything really, my only fault being that it is quite expensive.Music quality is good, it has a jack where you can connect any earphones, but the protector is easily lost and flimsy, also you have to download radio stations, which is stupid as you should be able to connect without hesitation. All in all, i absolutely adore this phone - and i think you should go and buy it right this second!

I have had my Nokia E63 on 3 network for 3 months and must say i looked at a Blackburry and compaird the 2 i found that the E63 was better value for money than the Blackburry. the only thing is i would have liked the Camera to be a bit better. The One big problem i found is that the E63 says you can do Video Calls but were is the Camera for Video Calls?.if you want to make a Video Call you have to turn the phone around so the camera points at you and the main keyboard and screen face away i think this is a no no and a big let down for the Nokia E63. But after that one main problem the E63 is really good and will do the Job you want.

A really really frustrating phone - the hardware is fine and its packed full of software, but the latter is so poorly put together that its virtually unuseable. For example, every time I want to connect to my WLAN, I have to type in its 35-character password, which after adding extra key presses to get caps and numbers means over 40 keypresses - by which time I've forgotten why I wanted to cnnect in the first place. Reminds me of a PC on which someone's been installing cover disk software for several years and never deleting anything. And the screen layout is so ugly! And I can't use the keyboard for more than a couple of minutes without getting RSI!

So dissappointed with this phone. At first I was really pleased, but as time has passed I've become more and more disillusioned. I have problems with the phone crashing in the middle of web browsing, problems sending and receiving text messages, the phone will tell me I have no signal in a strong signal area which means I have to restart it, scrolling down webpages is slow, opening one program/app takes ages after closing another, the phone can't keep up with speedy typing, poor camera quality (in my opinion, I know others have found it to be good), emails cannot be read in html, everything is converted to plain text... Little things, but just so annoying when you have to deal with them everyday. It's not the reliability you need from a phone. Pros? Well... the battery life is good, although using anything with intensive 3G (like Skype) drains it pretty quickly, and the battery recharges quickly. The whole Ovi system is confusing, and downloading apps like Maps and installing them has bene virtually impossible... the phone keeps telling me that I haven't got enough space, when I have deleted all my apps and games, and there is MORE than enough space. This experience has really put me off Nokias. I used to be an ardent Nokia fan, but it strikes me that they're struggling to keep up with other companies with newer, better and faster technologies.

The best phone I have ever owned by far! Got this on virgin PAYG for aboout £100, great value as it does just about everything: push email and web browsing which is free I might add and of course all the things any other phone does! The full qwerty pad is really good for email and web browsing and the centre 4 way button is a good substitute for a mouse. This smartphone is full of lots of great features I cant mention them all but wifi is very useful for web use at home, this phone does what a Blackberry can do but for less. The only slight down side is the baterry life can be poor but this is mainly due to using it so much out and about surfing and mailing and i'm sure other smartphones have the same issue. Highly recommended!

I have this phone for 1 month. I have sychronized my Gmail account with it so I'm able to get alerts as soon as I receive an email, but I find that it disconnects from the mailbox server rather frequently, so you suddenly stop getting alerts, and you manually have to connect again to retrieve your email. (maybe a settings issue). Connecting to your mailbox and retrieving emails are very slow/sluggish compared to Blackberry. Email message display are visually better on a Blackberry. Make sure you delete all emails from the phone after you've read them, or it can drastically slow down the phone. Everything will start to stall as I have discovered. Battery life is very good considering the battery physically takes up 80% of the phone. I downloaded Fring application on this phone and I'm able to recieve Skype messages instantly and make and receive Skype Calls, perfectly. Office functionality works well. You can view Powerpoint, Excel, PDF, Word documents. Camera quality is reasonable. It's Symbian operating system handles multitasking quite well. System doesn't hang while doing multiple tasks on the phone simultaneously. Doesn't have seperate volume buttons on the side of the phone which is annoying, but there are shortcut keys for volume control. Keyboard is okay. I still find it a bit cramped, but the feel of the buttons is good. Overall it has most of the Smartphone functionality you'd want in a phone, which is great value for the price, but if it's speed that you really need, pay more and get the Blackberry Bold.

This has push email and all the features I need. No USB cable? That's what bluetooth is for!!! The WiFi feature is awesome and I can connect to my home network and work network. Internet is very quick, and even quicker on Wlan connected. Best phone Ive had but i have only experienced 5 or so. Last phone i had had for 4 and a half years so the E63 is light years ahead. Its not mega flash but it is far from rubbish and just as capable as a blackerry bold.

As I like a bit of social networking on Facebook, I have added an app for instantly uploading photos and videos straight to my FB account. Just about anything is possible with this handset. Oh and the push email via Email on 3 works great. I now also receive my work email on it too and the opening and editing of word/excel/powerpoint is just wonderful. This is a brilliant phone, the unit itself is very well built and all the buttons have a nice feel to them, it also looks very nice in the flesh so to speak, without being flashy. The operating system on the phone is excellent, very intuitive and the phones hardware is capable of running it very quickly and smoothly, you can also have a high number of applications running in the background due to the large amount of RAM in the device. The internet browser on the phone is good but i would recommend downloading opera mini for free, it is an excellent browser and works really well on this handset. Part of what makes this phone so good for browsing the web is the excellent screen which is very sharp and the colours are vibrant. I also like that it has a 3.5mm headphone jack which means you can use your headphones from other devices with the phone without needing any kind of adapter. The battery life is one of the phones strongest points, it is simply outstanding. All in all, easily the best phone i have ever owned and i hope it will serve me well for a number of years.

I love most of the stuff this phone does, and while it is very good when it's working, it's reliability can be sketchy. After owning the phone for 2 weeks, everything went wrong. It would start up, and then not load anything. Press the menu button, and it would take 60 seconds for the menu to appear etc. After having to order a USB cable because Nokia don't supply one, It took me a whole evening to get the phone to stay on the home screen long enough for it to go into USB mode. I managed to back everything up and re-install the software which fixed it. However, I often get problems when the phone has been on all day. By the evening, I find the signal is showing 0 bars, and I have to switch off the phone and turn on again to recover the signal. Very annoying, hopefully there will be a software update to fix this very soon. Apart from that, it is a pretty good phone, everything it does it does well, and it seems very well made. The options for configuring the WIFI are VERY limited, which is a shame, but apart from that, and the software problems its a fairly good phone. If it wasn't for all the trouble I've had with the software I would happily give it 5 stars though... :(

I have to say I do prefer the BlackBerry OS, followed by the iPhone 3G. The Curve 8900 has excellent build quality but not as good as the BlackBerry Bold. The keyboard layout is always better on the Curve or Bold rather than the flat geometric style of the Nokia e63-72 or BlackBerry Storms. Sound on both are amazing.

If you want to use push email, the e63 is not for you. The only way I can find to do it is to use the Nokia Messaging service, which is eventually going to cost money. The phone itself does not actually support push email. The user manual says you have to connect to check your email when using IMAP, and even with alerts turned on, the email client does not stay connected. Nokia's advertised features are basically a lie, unless you eventually want to pay Nokia an extra subscription fee. And they no longer make this clear during the setup process. Older reviews of the phone show a clear option to "try" their service, or to just use the built-in client. Now it only mentions the possibility of a charge in a long list of terms of use, and it starts the install automatically unless you actually read what is normally a generic legal agreement.

After taking it back three times they eventually gave me a replacement reconditioned phone. Which to my horror when I charged it up it just went blank after pressing any button. In short I wish I had kept my Nokia. I will never deal with The Carphone Warehouse again or Sony Ericson. They refused to accept responsibility for their Insurance Geek Squad.
