Reviewed by Sheila Mathew on 02/12/2008 I have been using this phone past 3 years. I have the old version the stainless steel case. I like my phone it is very handy and user friendly. This is very elegant for a lady and safe too cause it will not get scratches while in your bag or even if it falls down a couple of times it is safe, unless it falls face down where the glass is placed. I like my phone and i will not tradein my phone for another new version. Rating:

Reviewed by Roman on 17/03/2008 This phone is way above average, in look, feel and price! It's not much so in terms of usability! The buttons are very tiny and you end up using the tip of your fingers or nails, but you would get used to that ! The camera is just rubbish! What is the thing with 2 MP, ha? Look at iPhone it uses 2MP but gives you a very sharp picture, at least compared to most mobile phones! You would never use Sirocco's camera again after the first time, they might've as well removes the cam and replaced with something useful! A better Mp3 player for instance! Again, why would you call this an MP3 player, you can only store mayB 20 songs, with no memory slot! MP3 here is also nonexistent! Radio, is OK! Having said all that, Sirocco as a phone is the best! would have loved it more with some extra power, but that mayB too soon for Nokia!! Rating:

I have a digital SLR & an MP3 player, I don't want some L reg M3 driving, idiot icon. Reviewed by Karl on 13/11/2007 I was lucky enough to recieve this phone as a gift and at first I thought it was fantastic - mainly due to its stylish looks and brilliant docking station. Now after having the phone for several months I realise it is all style and no substance. The battery life is terrible (I have to charge it everyday and on many occassions twice a day), the camera is something out of the stoneage and I could store more data on my on my old Atari computer. You are constantley cleaning fingerprints from it and when walking I now lean to the left or right depending on which side pocket it is in due to the shear weight of the thing. Reviewed by Neelam on 01/11/2007 It looks great on the outside, but the inside is what often counts! I fell for this phone instantly after seeing it i knew i had to have it! But for the price i must say it has certainly dissappointed me. The battery life is very poor, but the memory capacity is fantastic! I stored over 800 texts. But then the inevitable happened, and my phone no longer switches on! So i guess the memory is not so great after all. Still if looks is your 'thinng', then it is a great fashion accessory. (Would always go for the titanium one though, the black just doesn't have the same 'ooomph' factor about it. But thats just my opinion.) Over all, on a phone practicality level, DO NOT but this. Texting is almost impossible, yet i have the most slender fingers, and i still find it difficult. Features are very basic, there is nothing on there that you will not find on a standard £100 phone, except the ringtones, which personally i do not think is such a bad thing. There are very few tones a available. Rating:

Reviewed by Nene on 20/08/2007 I've had my sirocco for 8 months now and I love it. At first I was hesitant to buy it,cos of all the complaints about battery life, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a talker and I love my phone, but I've never had a problem with the battery life. No more than your average phone. 8 months in, and I've never touched the spare battery that came with the phone. I'm always texting, and currently have 700 messages in my inbox, 630 in my sent items, without the need to delete for space. You get loads of accessories and the packaging is fab. Did I mention that you get 2 years warranty as well. If like me, you want a stylish phone that is unique and not carried by every tom, dick and harry, get the sirocco. Now I want the gold version. If you want a Camera, PDA, mp3 player, Sat nav etc BUY THEM SEPARATE then you can have the best, unless you can't afford to then you'll want something that multi tasks but since its used for so many things the batt probably wont last anyway. IF YOU ALWAYS HAVE NO CREDIT AND HAVE NO IMPORTANT CALLS TO MAKE, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. IF YOU NEED A PHONE TO MAKE CALLS NOT TO TAKE PHOTOS IN A NIGHT CLUB OR LISTERN TO MUSIC ALL TIMES OF THE DAY. Reviewed by Alberto Vico on 03/08/2007 I'm an Italian. This phone was actually specifically made for Italy, the country of Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Gucci and many more. The designer at Nokia was an italian, as Italy may be bad at all things but definitely not at design and art. This phone targets a very specific market niche, that Nokia, with the 8800 series always thought about. If I buy a mobile phone I look at two things: 1) the design and 2)the price. If an outstanding design comes for Euro 989 here, I will go for it. It will mean top minimal design and exclusivity, as the price is an entry barrier, so just a few people will have it. I just bought new furniture for my apartment and went for a design producer. I payd 5 times as much as similar Ikea products... but you will see the difference immediately. It's very hard to produce a minimalistic peace of art, than to add 100 buttons and filling all the space. The more it is simple, the more complex it is. Minimalism is art. I don't care if features are not that up to date, I care about design, I want to possess a phone which looks very beautiful and that I love and I also want to distinguish from the crowd of Apple I-Phones all 15 years old will have. So, Americans, who only look at features and performance and not at style and design will not like this phone... it's not their culture. I love to have a peace of modern art in my hand. <<<<< pay you what is design as taste, have if buy only> Rating:

At home my music system blasts out the latest tunes. My 8800D sits on my desk begging to be picked up and used, who can I call, will someone call me. Thats the whole point, is a phone above all else. I bought it because I wanted one of the best phone avaiable to make an receive calls. The very same reason I spent a fortune on my camera, to tak good pictures or on my car CD to get a good sound qualtity on the move. But then if I couldnt afford some of the things I have then a phone with a 5mb camera and mp3 player with sub standard sound would have to do. I've got a spare battery and they're not that bad anyway. 3-4 days if I'm not using it too heavily. 1-2 days if I am. Hardly the end of the world, is it? I own a regular digital camera and an ipod that are better than any phone's camera and MP3 player. I use my phone for....wait for it....making phone calls! And I send the odd text. The alarm clock wakes me in the morning and the bluetooth pairs with my car beautifully. What more could you want? Oh, I know.....a phone that hardly anyone else has! Not to be printed out on A3 canvas and hung on the wall!! This is a great looking phone - which is exactly what it was designed to be. They upgraded nearly every feature from the old 8800 and gave it a new ergonomic feel and a sleek black colour. This is not a feature packed phone, i use this as my work phone just because it great looking when you pull it out of your suit jacket and everyone hears that gun-slide-like noise when you slide it open. Reviewed by advertising! on 23/05/2007 for those who say this is too expensive and not worth of it due to its poor feature...... SO WHAT??? some ppl hv the money. dont be jealous. i personally dont give a damn if other phones have this 5M camera or 7MP or infinite MP. the fact is they will NEVER beat a normal camera!! do you really take pictures using phone? how bright that flash could be and how many flashes can it withstand before running out of batteries? and i dont giv a damn if other phones have this mp3 features. if you so concern about the features and sound quality, get a BOSE or harman kardon or whatever audio system on the market!! Reviewed by Ed on 18/05/2007 What a load of rubbish! This phone now has a cracked screen - which is meant to be scratchproof. The software is not updated and lacks design - also incredibly prone to crashing. (Software been reinstalled twice by Nokia) The battery life is terrible too - looks great Nokia, but next time make one that actually does its job. Would not recommend to anyone at all... Rating:

Reviewed by cameron on 14/05/2007 the battery life is rubish, the gadjets are non excistent and it is way to expensive. The only time when it comes in handy is in a dinner party and your trying to look flashy. Rating:

Reviewed by Firas on 12/05/2007 Excellent phone! You are paying for the looks and exclusivity. If you want a 7m pixel camera then buy one! The battery life is much better than the old 8800 and the price is just right. Its slightly heavier than other phones but again its made of pure quality metal and feels great. Why do you people buy this phone in the first place and complain that it doesnt have PDA features. Its a slick elegant phone that is for people that dont need childish features like 10MB memory! Reviewed by Mark on 09/05/2007 Varying degrees of rubbish posted about the 8800,anyway,I believe that Nokia have got it right for once,a phone is a phone is a phone!if I want to take photos I use a camera,if I want listen to music I play an mp3 or ipod.it strikes me that the people that dont like this phone are either financially embarrassed or the typical "council house mentality" brigade. This phone is the best thing to come out of Nokia since the 8850,go figure it out! Reviewed by Chirag Bhatt on 08/05/2007 Good and sexy phone for looks. This is the reason i bought it. £500 sim free, now i rgret it just had it for 2 weeks and software faults have occured, with the camera and the phone dying. I sent it for repair and it should be back in 2 weeks. Overall i would say that i am dissapointed. Rating:
