Reviewed by Rajeev Vardhi on 26/12/2006 7710 is an awesome phone. Though its large and sometimes slow, the features on this phone are outstanding. Files could easily be converted if you wish to transfer files between the phone and your computer. Text messages could easily be written using the touch screen, as the phone has hand writing recognition software. The display is awesome and this phone is open to accept many softwares with Symbian. There are numerous applications available for this phone, like gaming, movie editors, worldwide weather and traffic reports. For such a big phone the battery backup is promising and very satisfactory as any other Nokia phone. People might say it hangs. But boss it reflects one's maintainance. 7710 could be maintained with minimum break-downs; I suggest people who complain about hanging to read the hand book. One small disadvantage is we might find it hard to hear sounds sometimes when talking due to its size. But its neglible considering as a whole. I LOVE IT!!!! Rating:
Reviewed by M.Lowe on 22-09-2005 This is a ground-breaking phone. Although its rather large and sometimes slow, the features on this phone are outstanding. I write my text messages using the touch screen, as the phone has hand writing recognition. This feature can be used in other programs on the phone, one similar to microsoft word and another excel, which are easily converted if you wish to transfer files between your phone and your computer. I've even completed an essay for my college course on the bus! There are many applications for this phone, from gaming applications and movie editors to worldwide weather and traffic reports. My favourite two application for this phone are tom-tom, a gprs navigation system that you may of recently heard being advertised as a promotion for Vauxhall cars, and Picodrive. Picodrive is basically a free downloadable program that basically turns your phone into a sega mega-drive! I currently have sonic 2, mortal kombat 3 and Italia 90' on my phone! Theres a wide variety of roms that are easy to acces through the net. Being a Nokia, this phone is easy to used to and is set out in a simple manor. I know somebody who bought the Motorola A1000, and although he was pleased in the frst month...and being a motorola...the phone soon became an object he hated, due to the fact it kept freezing and clearing the memory on more than the one occasion. The only downfall to this phone is the fact you have to usually buy the video player, unless all your files can be played using real player. It cost me #12 to buy a player that played everything, unfortunately. If you want a phone with a widescreen video player, recorder, touch screen, hand writing recognition, office programs and more get this phone!!!
