I owned one of these beasts briefly a few years ago. Probably the worst phone i ever had the misfortune to use. Stupid keypad design, similar to the siemens sx1-a much better phone if you want one with a bad keypad- terrible display quality-feels cheap-horrible fascias-poor camera even for a vga camera, and just a total piece of junk. If you are thinking of buying one from ebay or something as you like the quirky looks of it my advice is dont bother. Get the nokia 7610 instead,it also has a weird teardrop shape but is light years ahead of this in every respect.

This phone was a gift for christmas 2005 and after over 2 years of persevering I have finally gave up and replaced it. My main complaint was the shape, aquward, difficult to fit anywhere, impossible to text with one hand (almost impossible to text at all!) and the look of it was just a real downturner for me. Although the this is the 1st widely available 3G phone it was impossible to get it working. However, it did have it's good points the memory was excellent, stored well over 200 pictures, plus videos and songs! Overall a fairly average phone, with better ones available. I wouldn't rush out to buy it!

My girlfriend bought this phone around three weeks before Easter and it is a brilliant handset. It is on O2 and it was able to pick up reception in Pickering where no other phone could. The camera is good for the price, as is the MP3 player that is capable of playing full length MP3 songs that can be stored on the phone's 32MB of internal memory. Unfortunately, however you cannot expand the memory on this handset but for the price, I wouldn't expect this phone to have memory expansion. this phone uses the Nokia browser which is the best for browsing WAP sites as it is easy to use and you can enlarge the text which is good if you are a visually impaired user.

I think this fone is a ledgend. Ive had it for over a year now and still think its great. Its so simple to use, having bluetooth and infared is a great add on cos not everyone has both of theese functions. The txting is as easy as any other phone,yh you cant txt with 1 hand but when ppl see the 7600 they seem to be impressed. The camera on its amazing quality i think its better than the motorola v3 camera anyday and 50 mins of recording is great its not like the qualitys poor either, the USB facility is also very handy for getting pics of mates n stuff onto the 7600 via the computer. The wap facilitys also great ive got 216 ringtones from using o2 wap websites which didnt even cost me anything. i usually have a verry good signal. Overall i think this is a outstanding phone and 1 of the best around and probally will stay the best with its unique shape, If nokia made a upgrade of this phone i would be the 1st person to get it. The reception for o2 is rubbish it goes up and down to 0 every 20 seconds with it being on 0 for most of the time. I had no problem with it on t-mobile. The picture quality is ok for this phone and value, mp3 player sucks - you can't rewind/forward effectively. Crap shape, too big! However, it's good to type texts if you can get a signal. I had this phone for just over 2 years and now the battery dies in 20 hours.

My friends think the phone looks like a freak, but i like it and you have to love it or hate it, so if you hate the look you will hate the phone. Good phone for people who think more of how it looks than how it functions and live 5 feet away from a mast. Used mine for 8 weeks and its back in the shop for a second time being checked out for a bad reception whith instructions that again if there is found to be nothing wrong and this is the working characteristic of this type of phone then you can keep it. Back using my old NEC. Still suprised finnishing a conversation without a silent hiss halfway through. Funniest thing about this phone is using it to complain to the shop about the bad reception, being cut off in mid conversation three times, giving up and phoning them on a landline and Albert Einstein on the other end trying to tell me the phones working fine ???.

I do go through a lot of different mobile phones and have tried a couple of different ones under the 14 peace of mind gaurantee on cotracts. I have now kept this phone on a 1 year contract mainly due to the free minutes as it is brilliant value for money. The 2 main dissapointing points of this phone is that I hardly get any reception where I live (Kent) or where I work (Central London), which is strange as London is supposed to have very good reception! The other being the battery life, it is appauling. I charged the phone up initially for 16 hours and the phone only seems to last 24 hours before a re-charge is needed. If I try to view a video clip from the 3g services, the phone just cuts out after 3 videos, this is very annoying. Besides these 2 points though I'm happy with the phone overall, when you get used to the keys it's actually easier to text on!!

This new Nokia is a classic example of mutton dressed a lamb. The unique diamond shape really does bring something new to the world of mobile phones. It is just a shame that Nokia didn't bother to think about what they were going to put in it. On the face of it the package looks great, slick looks (although the version being sold in the UK has white buttons rather than silver as shown in all the Nokia photos, small differences maybe but believe me it doesn't look as good in the real as in the photos), VGA camera, mp3 player, video downloads, Bluetooth etc etc. Despite this it never really puts it all together. There are too many small faults and niggles that add up to a frustrating experience. On the plus side though the phone sports a very clear and bight screen which is really good for watching video content. The menu system is easy to use but a little dated. The feature list is impressive, see nokia.com for details, but unfortunately it is not as useful as it all sounds. The odd design is quite appealing but does make for a very odd feel when making a call. The wide phone sits on your cheek and never really feels comfy. The call quality is poor, the speaker on the phone is tinny and the person on the other end of the line has trouble hearing you, the phone seems to pick up a lot of ambient noise as well as you talking. One of the really big disappointments is Nokia's bundled software. A loose collaboration of 8 or 9 different applications that are at best confusing and worst unusable. I have had the phone now for 48 hours and despite reading the manual, the online manual, the web sites and asking friends I can't get my photos off the phone on to my PC. This is really a basic function and should be a matter of point and click. On the subject of transferring files the phone doesn't seem to be able to save files in its own memory. Download a video, try and save it and nothing happens. Same with sending something via infrared. The other huge downside is the lack of an expandable memory. This is just daft, 29 MB is all you get for the phone book, sms/mms, photos, ringtones, mp3s and videos. Whatb?Ts the point of that? If you delete every thing, all your contacts, wallpaper everything you still can't fit an mp3 album on there! So the end result is phone that's not very good at making phone calls, a digital camera that takes pictures that you can only view on your phone, an mp3 player that can only handle a few songs. Put this all together and you end up with a very disappointing effort that could be make so much better with a memory card slot and some decent software.

hey guys, my dad just came back from dubai and they had just released a few 7600 phones like three to each shop and he got a hold of one for me i think i\'m one of the first people to have one!...anyways the shape takes a little getting used to and the messaging as well but i love it!!!!!!!! the features kick ass...the memory is small but it\'s still great plus it looks really cool i think..i got the light blue and silver color and it\'s awesome...anyone have any questions about it..?
