Reviewed by Adrian W on 11/03/2010 I'll just go through a few things about the phone for those who are interested. Firstly the navigation and menu screens are very straightforward and easy to understand. Was easy to pick up and start using straight away. The camera isn't particularly brilliant but fine for taking the odd photo out and about, just not in low light, it's useless haha! As for the music player and radio, I've only used once but it was pretty good. The screen is nice and clear with bright colours and okay for viewing a webpage on now and again, though I wouldn’t really recommend if you view the web on your phone regularly. The battery life is good on standby but calls do tend to eat it up pretty quickly. Also I'm happy to report the keypad is a joy to use. In summary, I wanted a phone which looked good, was pretty small, did the core things a phone is supposed to, and was easy to use. I'm not disappointed. It's not perfect, but much better than what most people have given it. Maybe I've just been lucky! I really like it and still using it! P.S Some of the complaints some people have had are ridiculous and untrue, as they obviously haven’t used the phone for any time at all. Rating:
Reviewed by Richard on 26/02/2010 Owned my 6600 slide now for 4 months and everything about the phone is great except for one important thing, the ability of the phone to pick a signal up is terrible and its got to be the worst experience i have ever had with a mobile phone. With the phone out of my hands its fine as soon as i pick it up the signal dies of death. I honestly think nokia should do a recall on this phone because i am tied into a 18 month contract and the phone is basically useless to me as it drops calls all the time, work with people on the same network with different nokias and they have 3 times better signal quality. At the moment using a phone i had 3 years ago not a pretty phone but it works!!!!!!!!!!! Reviewed by Haroon on 06/02/2010 THIS MOBILE IS USELESS! DO NOT BUY IVE HAD IT FOR FIVE MONTHS BACK LIGHT KEEPS COMING OFF SPEAKERS ARE RUBBISH CANT HEAR THEM ATALL thankfully ive upgraded to a samsung omnia ;) Rating:
Reviewed by Anthony on 23/01/2010 had it for 4 months then it broke due to "water damage". it was too quiet and muffled. it kept on freezing on the camera menu. Got it as an upgrade from a nokia 6300 which had been fine. i chose it because it looked good, but as soon as i touched it it looked rubbish because of all of the smudges. Bought a samsung genio touch to replace it and that is good Rating:

Reviewed by Thomas on 11/12/2009 This is the worst phone I have ever owned by a million miles. I have no idea how anybody could possibly review it as being anything but. Am on my second one - the reception is dreadful, both voice mic and speaker. Do not buy one if you actually want to make calls and be heard or hear the other person speak. Camera regularly fails - I can't wait until my contract is up so I can change it. If it was possible to rate something as minus I would. Rating:
Reviewed by Jeremy on 09/12/2009 Absolute garbage. Reception is awful - mine misses over 50% of calls. The clock and power save features do not work as described in the instructions. Speaker is on the back, so if I put it down on a surface, I cant hear it ring. I bought it for its compactness, but it is so heavy, any benefit is lost. I though Nokia were a premium brand. Oh dear........... Rating:
Reviewed by me on 29/11/2009 Good: 1) Solid slider 2) Simple design. Bad: 1) Can only change volume while calling - manual wont tell you how. Do you enjoy puzzles then this phone is for you.. 2) If you pause while reading/texting then screen will go black in only a few seconds - it will annoy you no end. No option to disable it. 3) Max volume is low. "say again pls..." 4) Soundquality is very poor (worst I have experienced in any phone). 5) Minimal edges between buttons - get used to looking at buttons while texting - only fit for slow texting. 6) Applications such as map and web are too simple/useless and really just take up space. better luck next time nokia.. Reviewed by Trish on 29/11/2009 I agree the Nokia 6600 Slide looks very nice and the MP3 is very good. The two main disappointments are the battery and the back light. I find it so frustrating to have to keep opening and shutting the phone for the light to come back on when you are reading a text. Rating:

Reviewed by Ashley on 26/11/2009 I got this for my birthday a few months ago.... It's not great but it's strong ( I have dropped it about 8 times!) lol It holds music unlike my old one and it's got style. The only problems are the backlight which does turn off very fast, ringtones arent soooo great so I use music for it. the camera isnt that bad.... at least it has a flash...it hold loads of sms's.. It could be improved though! Rating:

Reviewed by James on 22/10/2009 I've always used Nokia phones because generally they have been excellent. This is useless. The loud speaker stopped working within the first couple of months, the phone initially kept crashing until it was sent off for a software update. It is hard to get signal and it frequently drops its signal going form full, 3 bars to nothing before going back to 3 bars in an area of excellent reception. Do not buy this phone Rating:

Reviewed by Brenda on 08/10/2009 Looks good but totally ill fitting for business people, as unable to hear the phone ringing, reception very bad in all areas, could live with the rest. No backup from service provider and told, just have to pay for the contract no matter what. Called Nokia not long after receiving the phone and told, go to the net and download and the phone would be sorted, I've been ripped and now sit with this useless hand set and need to pay for two years....not sure I'll ever go for another Nokia... Reviewed by Kristie on 25/09/2009 Don't do it! I haven't had issues with ringing volume or any of the other common complaints EXCEPT that I am currently on my 3rd one in about 8 months!! Maybe it's a slide phone thing where the actual electronic connection isn't great, but after buying my first one it wasn't long before the handset speaker cut out and I could only hear the other person on loudspeaker. Not ideal at all! My phone was replaced with a second one, did it again and was replaced with a third one, and guess what? A couple of days ago my third one has done the same thing. Now in negotiations with my phone company to get a completely different phone. For anyone who is lucky enough to avoid this issue it could be a great phone...but I will never touch this particular model again. Rating:
Reviewed by Greg on 23/09/2009 Very dissapointing for an otherwise very good looking phone: CHECK ALL NEW NOKIA'S FOR THIS BEFORE YOU BUY!!!! Some design moron has decided to start sticking the speaker on the back of the phone. Ummmmm When you put the phone down YOU CANNOT HEAR IT RINGING not that Nokia ring tones are very loud to begin with. Putting it say on a book or flat in your car cubbie hole makes the ring tone inaudible and you lose calls. Call qulaity is average to very poor. Don't understand why all their phones simply can't just have good call quality. It's like the seacrh for the holy grail. Like I said nice phone but not really a phone. More like a fancy USB key. RUN..... Rating:

Reviewed by Paul on 11/09/2009 I was recently due an upgrade from Nokia 6300 and was advised by the sales rep that the 6600 was my best bet. As I had always had and been happy with Nokia phones in the past I took his advise, but couldn't have been more disappointed. This is by far the worst phone I have ever owned. Yes the back light is a problem (it only lasts 6 seconds on mine) but the lack of signal is the real issue. What's the point of having a phone that you can't make or receive calls on due to it having no signal? On the odd occasion when there is a signal available and you try to make a call the phone normally cuts you off mid conversation as it has just done to me 3 times during a 5 minute call. If you want to use it as an mp3 player or camera then that's fine but if you want it for the fundamental purpose of making calls then this is not the phone for you. Rating:

Reviewed by Phil Gallagher on 30/08/2009 I have not one positive comment to make regarding this device. I can only reiterate the remarks made by many - the back light drops out, I cannot hear it ring or feel it vibrate. Worse of all is the lack of signal. My first phone has been back to T-Mobile and replaced. The new one is just as bad as it's predessesor. I am currently doing battle with T=Mobiles customer services to change it for a different model. I CANNOT live with this for another year, and have since reverted back to using my old N73 which is far superior in every way. Please do not even consider taking this phone out of the shop, and whilst mentioning shops DO steer clear of T-Mobile's shop in Smithford Way, Coventry their customer facing skills are abysmal, they tell lies, they are insolent egotistical =, and partronising. Reviewed by pedr0 on 24/08/2009 the only fault i have with this phone is the 10 second backlight its slim that it fits in the small pocket in your jeans so no need to fall awkwardly on it i got this as a replacement for the 6500 and im more than happy with it found a great site for free downloads www.zedge.com iv used it and its virus free Rating:

Reviewed by Bugsy on 25/05/2009 i have to say this phone is not worth the price! reception is really bad, and it also keeps turning off when it wants and i have to take the battery out to turn it back on, and another thing is the handset! every time i put it in it says error and the phone turns off! not impressed Rating:
Reviewed by JY on 04/03/2009 I had this phone for 4 months before losing it... it was such a pity. I must say its a very good phone. Good functions and easy to use. It does not have all the sophisticated functions of a PDA smartphone but if you are looking for one that handles calls and messages primarily, this is the phone for you... the keyboard is not difficult to type like what others have mentioned. I have big fingers but I have absolutely no issue in getting my key strokes rights on first attempt always. Battery life is good; I make about one hour of call each day, message a lot but only need to re-charge once every 3 days. Bottomline: excellent phone for its price, strong body, sleek finish and extremely reliable. Rating:
Reviewed by A.N on 26/01/2009 I have had this phone a month and I am NOT impressed. The keypad lights are intermittant. It keeps freezing, the I have to take the battery out and put it back in to get it working again. And the signal strength is appauling. Also the screen side of the phone wobbles. Cannot belive I have to put up with this phone on an 18 month contract. Rating:
Reviewed by AJ on 13/01/2009 I agree about the signal strength it is appalling, the volume level again not good although alarm and ring tones are loud enough for me. There is a light on my keyboard but agree keys are difficult. Thought the signal strength was a problem in my house but it bounces around wherever I am! Rating:
Reviewed by P. B. on 23/12/2008 Nokia 6600 Slide may have all the gizmo's but suffers from lack of signal strength just like the 6500 slide did, even worse on the 6600 with the volume level at its highest on loudspeaker and ring tones and alarm you struggle to hear it, got mine as a upgrade took it strait back and all the others were the same so in one word rubbish. Rating:
Reviewed by mj on 03/12/2008 This phone is rubish. Keyboard is to small. No lights on the key board so makes for navigating the keyboard in the dark a little difficult. The camera is just shocking. No wounder is free on all networks. Rating:
