Reviewed by Panagiotis on 03/05/2007 Nokia should simply reproduce 6310i.It is superbly built and the ergonomics are beautiful.Forget unwieldy little bricks with miniaturised keyboards that creak after a while.Battery time is unbeatable and you can really go for a week without recharging it.Menus are very simple to master, amazingly fast and connectivity options more than enough. Finally 6310i's sound quality is,for me,the benchmark of mobile phones.Offered as second hand,or refurbished/rebuild it still commands high prices for a 5-year old phone,it is really that popular. So please Mr. Nokia reissue it ,before it enters the extinct species range. Reviewed by panos on 23/04/2007 6310i defines business class telephones.Sturdily built, excellent balance, easily reached buttons with tactile feedback, fast menus and superb connectivity.Signal is very good and sound quality in it's very own and distinct class.Battery life is amazing.6021 is way below this beast in most terms, and e60 is a rather half hearted attempt. What nokia should,in my opinion,do is to simply update it and reproduce it without changing it's ergonomically perfect form. Reviewed by jon on 30/03/2007 This phone is really outstanding - travelled to 10 countries with it, it is so strong, still going after 4 years, can't decide whether to replace it with one of those flimsy looking modern phones. Rating:
Reviewed by Adam on 19/03/2007 I love mine to bits and still do its a proper workhorse, okay it may not be able to have the advantage of instant messaging but with a laptop and wireless connection I can tlk to any contacts who arent available to get a hold of via phone. This phone is still giving me 19 days standby time with bluetooth for my headset in the Car. It's ideal. The downside is i cant find another phone to replace it with as mine is getting battered, maybe a new cover and its a as good as new. Rating:
Reviewed by Ed on 15/03/2007 Its now 2007, and frankly this phone is still untouchable in the business world. Bewildering to say the least. Everybody from Judges, Politico's and other professionals swear by this phone. Absolutely rock solid. Nothing comes close. Rating:

Reviewed by PeterH on 13/03/2007 I just thought this review list needed a new entry. My fine old black-and-gold 6310i is still going strong, and although I have had a string of later Nokias none can compare with the old beast for sheer construction quality and usability as a phone. Rating:

Reviewed by djdave on 19/02/2007 OK - its not bling, no camera, no MP3, no radio. BUT fantastic battery life (up to 10 days), brilliant reception (phone companies don't even mention this these days - but if you live in a marginal reception area - these still exist -- it makes a huge difference), easy to use - Nokia's intuitive OS, not too small but fits in your pocket -- has lots of useful functions -- triband -- calendar -- bluetooth -- internet access etc. Excellent build quality, robust, and you can still get them on eBay - also car kits. Only problem in 3+ years is dust getting into keypad. But this is easy to fix with a little dissassembly (buy torx screwdriver on eBay) and compressed air can. Tried to 'upgrade' to a Motorola clamshell - looked nice but was complete rubbish - 2 day battery life - poor camera - irritatingly complicated OS - MP3 butr unusable -- gave it away after 2 weeks. Come on Nokia -- have you lost the plot?? Make us a worthy upgrade. Otherwise it'll be an iPhone for me, as soon as they get networks sorted in UK. (But I'll still keep my 6310i on standby!) Reviewed by max on 18/02/2007 Still hanging on to it - for all the very good reasons mentioned here. Unbeatable. Ready to go any country. Battery life is tops. Single hand operation. Slick and ready in my pocket. Good size keys. No clutter. No useless unstable stuff. Plan to go to e bay to get new ones for me and my wife. Rating:
Reviewed by Zoe on 13/02/2007 The Nokia 6310i is a fantastic phone the battery life is outstanding, never had a problem. I read the otherday that the Nokia 6310i will be replaced by the Nokia E50 and would be compatible with all of the Nokia 6310i accessories, don't believe it. I purchased a E50 and attached it to my cradle in the car it simply doesn't fit. Different serial connectors. Rating:

Reviewed by William Farquhar on 20/01/2007 This phone is simply great. It does everything that is needed, and does it well. The battery is unbelievable lasting 10-13 days on a single charge. It also sticks to a signal like a limpet. It is a classy business loking phone, especially in the black and gold colour scheme. I work in the corporate industry and nearly everyone i meet has not a bad word to say about the legend that is the 6310i Rating:
Reviewed by Neil on 18/01/2007 I've now had this phone for three years, it looks battered, I've dropped it more times than I can remember, has never gone wrong and its still got great battery life and does everything I need from a phone. This has got to be an all time classic phone. Rating:
Reviewed by simon on 18/01/2007 If you have one, guard it with your life. Never been a better phone. Battery charge will last a week with average use.

Reviewed by Adam Toms on 11/01/2007 The reason why this phone lasts so long without a charge is cos it doesnt have a colour screen or camera, so its a little bit big and ive had mine since 2003, and mine is battered. But theres nothing out there which comes close to this phone, in terms of reliability. Still works like brand new, but as other people have said why dont nokia make a newer version of the 6310i with the same everything, so we an use it in our car kits, but just a more compact phone. Surely it isnt rocket science. Rating:
Reviewed by mark forster 630 on 07/01/2007 i love the nokia 6310i. i got my 6310i on 1st August 2006, great battery life, it looks great, ive got a black and gold one and a sirocco bronze one. they are 5 years old now but im never getting a new mobile, dont need colour screens, music, cameras etc on a mobile, if i wanted music id get a MP3 player Rating:
Reviewed by Keith on 27/12/2006 Without doubt the 63101 is the marine of the mobile phone world, fanstastic battery life, simple to use and does what a mobile is supposed to do - make and receive calls. I was recently been given another business phone due to so called technological advances, I soon discarded the new phone and reverted back to my good old faithful 6310i. Rating:

Reviewed by FIL on 02/09/2006 As someone said to me once, Nokia has yet to release a phone that matches 6310 (but it never did). After getting mine 3 years ago, battery lasts for 1 week+ (and I use my phone allot! (Even for internet access with Bluetooth/GPRS). I have friends with top of the line phones, and they have to carry phone and charger or have more that one charger (at home and work). Conversation time is also something that I never (to date Aug 2006) saw on any other phone, you will have to use it to believe it. Has all the functions I need, once I've tried a 3G phone for a week, but at the end I realized that 3G is not yet usable (too slow and small), also has extra cost per call and battery has to charge after a day (or less), well it is not what I call a business phone. Just a final note after a week with 3G I end up going to my old 6310i. Now I got a Qtek S200 just to get my Palm, 6310i and my camera into a single phone, it is nice but battery life is now 3,5 days… ok no problem my 6310i is my backup just in case. Rating:
Reviewed by Graham Farquhar-Deakin on 13/08/2006 I agree with most of the comments on this iconic phone. I have been searching and wasting money on upgrades that havent even came close to the 6310i for its sheer robustness and class. I have a motorola v3 razr as a second phone which is made of metal, and yet it still doesnt feel as solid as my good old friend, the 6310i even though the appearance of it is shall we say tatty. The majority of businesspeople and professionals are still glued to their 6310is and for good reason. It works really well with the carkit in my x5 and will outlast all the newer phones that seem to have been designed by 8 year olds. Basically if you are a professional or someone just looking for a classy, reliable and bombproof phone then this is for you. Nokia have messed up big time pulling this phone off the market, as it was and today still is the most sucessful phone ever sold. This phone is even used by celebs such as Liz hurley and my fav royal Sarah Ferguson lol. If you have a 6310i dont dismiss it to the back of a drawer. Rating:

Reviewed by Hedgehog on 06-12-2005 I got my 6310i when they first came out-haven't a clue how many years ago, and it gave great service. Since then I have paid good money and "upgraded" a few times, and none of the phones since have met the standard. With no no real budget restraints I'm haveing difficulty finding another phone that matches its Battery life; 2 weeks!!, ability to get a good signal either in the depths of the welsh mountains, to the middle of New York city, and nothing as yet can match the clarity of sound during voice calls wherever I am in the world. It also survived my active lifestyle haveing been trodden on by a horse! and dropped into a scalding cup of tea. Seeing as this phone only cost me around £100 on upgrade I really begrudge paying £500 plus for a phone on 3G which won't work when I visit my family in the countryside, will have to be re-chardged everyday, and has a pathetic little camera that sucks the power out of it. I'm going back to my old friend 6310i because all I want is
good strong phone, and because I have an MP3 player and an excellent digital camera. Rating:
Reviewed by Burf on 10-11-2005 Brilliant phone, but the time has come for an upgrade, i was thinking of going for somthing a bit more modern like the moto v3 razr, im sure it wont be as bullet proof as this legend. Rating:

Reviewed by Wilkey on 03-02-2005 There's a reason why you'll see business men and women the world over carrying this handset - when it comes to acting as a phone above anything else, it's the best at its job. This workhorse has a huge memory and battery life and does everything you need (like email and Bluetooth) without all the bells and whistles. An extremely solid performer. Rating:
Reviewed by Lewis on 19-08-2004 What to say about this phone? Easily the best mobile for business users. Rock solid reliability and reception. No gimmicks, just the essentials that you will need. Battery life is superb even when making lots of calls and using Bluetooth. Audio quality is excellent, both for making calls and when using the voice recorder. Must be the best phone I have ever had and I won't be changing it unless I have to. Rating:
Reviewed by Paulos on 29-02-2004 Brilliant phone. Fully loaded. Bluetooth, infared, WAP, GPRS it just goes on. This phone is known as a \"professional\" phone. For instance it hasn\'t a colour screen but just very usefull features and a battery life to put any other phone to shame. The Nokia website says it has a standby time of 17days. I use mine mainly for txts and the odd call to friends, clients etc. I always leave it on through the night just in case someone needs to contact me, and the battery life last for very easily a week+ before wanting a charge - Fantastic!!!! If your after a quality phone thats well put together with a business set up in mind you be doing very very well to find another phone to beat this one and this is why i have given it 5 stars. Rating:
Reviewed by Frans on 10-04-2003 This is the first time I own a Nokia with GPRS (a must have! - GPRS that is). I am using it to connect to the internet amongst other things. This is great as I do not have a land line installed at home (I live out in the country on a farm and the nearest connection point for a landline is 1km away - it will cost me a fortune to get a landline installed. This means no internet - that's where the Nokia comes in!) The other features are also great. I do not use it with a carckit though. Recommended for a wide range of features in the Nokia brand.
