Reviewed by Parcel on 19/01/2010 I am absolutely delighted with my Nokia 6103, its amazing, easy to use with fully functioning controls. I have large fingers so its nice to have a clear and large keypad, its great, especially for texting! I love the flip up feature, just like Captain Kirk, "beam me up Scottie"! The quality of sound from the radio is brilliant, the pictures from the camera is good. The reason I bought it was for the bluetooth as I had a bike and wanted to use a sat nav. It proved to be ideal, its simplicity itself, ok, so it hasnt got a lot of the fancy features you find on mobs these days, but no matter. I am thinking of trading it in for a newer model, thats only because the casing is becoming loose, but thats it really. I have owned this phone since Dec 2006 Well done Nokia for producing a phone that is ideal for me. Thankyou! Rating:
Reviewed by Julie on 25/06/2009 I have the 6103b. It is the best phone I have ever used. I have used 7 cell phones, two have been Nokia. I have abused this phone, and I admit the camera stopped working after one or another of the asphalt-droppings in the first year. That aside, I have found the Texting very easy to use, the Alarm has never failed me, it has a Ring Tone that sounds like a phone. 3 years later I was able to pick up a new charger, the original battery continues to last 4 or 5 days at a time, and I should point out that I use an average of 1600 minutes per month. I have as much reception as everyone around me, although it drops calls for a second when moving from digital to analog (like everyone else). My plan expired 2 months ago, but I refuse to get a new phone so I remain, contract-free. Maybe I got the proverbial "one good one", but I love this unit and when I manage to completely destroy it I will be searching out another Nokia. Rating:
Reviewed by AW on 17/09/2008 after a month the front screen cracked, few months later out went the inside screen, after fixing that it now blanks white every few seconds , away with it! Rating:
Reviewed by j b on 29/08/2008 its so-so... the lack of compatible downloads you can find is certainly irksome. the memory is nothing to shout about either. Rating:
Reviewed by TK on 01/07/2008 I must agree with R Burge, my phone does the exact same thing, the sound just decides to turn off on it's own, it will have an outdoor setting but the alarm will make no sound. Reinserting the battery will fix it for a while, But it doesn't help after the fact it failed to wake me up. The alarm also cancels itself whenever it feels like. My previous nokia phone also did the exact same thing. Not worth a rating of one. Rating:
Reviewed by Sabrira on 23/04/2008 Overall, I like my Nokia 6103 phone. The main problem is the memory so I'm upgrading to the NOkia 6263. I like the call quality and the ringtone sounds but sometimes when I click over to the other line, it freezes so I have to hang up on both parties. Any problems with missing calls would probably be due to service because I've never had any issues of that nature. It has nice features but I wish the camera was better. Rating:
Reviewed by Mandy on 16/04/2008 I have had this phone for 18 months. I am old enough to know how to properly care for a phone. It resides in my purse or pocket. It has been dropped a very few times but because of the rubbery coating it never seemed to have damage. Well, one day I took it out to answer and a piece of plastic on the hinge pulled off. Then a bolt appeared and and now the cover is only being held on by one side. The quality of my calls is being effected. When I took it into my T-Mobile store they told me that it was a known problem, but they couldn't help me because it was no longer under warranty. So, I called T-Mobile, they told me my choice were to buy a new phone (and extend my contract) or try to find another T-Mobile phone from somebody! Actually, my options are to, charge up my old Motorola phone and in September when my T-Mobile contract is up go to AT&T and get another Motorola phone! Rating:

Reviewed by Glenn in Zurich on 16-06-2006 I can't decide whether to give this a 4 or a 5, but I want to underscore that it is a very good phone for people like me who value 'basic' mobile capability (voice calls & SMS) but don't care about megapixels or MP3 players. As I wrote in my review of the (lousy) 6230i, when my trusty beloved 6310i died I ended up with one of them and couldn't wait to get rid of it (see that review for why). Not wanting to go away from Nokia's user interface, I decided to take a chance on the 6103, and am very pleased with it. It has more or less the same 'feel' in terms of user features and interface organisation, plus a big bright screen (screen & keyboard are very nicely backlit at night), a VERY nice keyboard with nice big, tactile (meaning they click when pushed so you get positive feedback on keystrokes) and a very nice (meaning large enough for adult fingers) 'joystick-rocker' 4-way navigation key. While not having precisely analysed why, I find the message and call handling even m ore intuitive - I'd say slick - than the 6310i (which I really liked for those reasons). In general I don't like 'cute little phones' like the 6230i; the 6103 unfolds to fit well in the hand, so that the microphone isn't up by your cheekbone picking up all manner of background noise - you can whisper into this phone and be heard! I've also been convinced for a long time that folding phones are the only way to go to obtain reasonably sized displays and keypads; the 6103 also taught me that folding protects the screen from being scratched and keys from being inadvertantly pushed. It doesn't have a 25 megapixel camera, but I use a camera for taking pictures. ;-) That said you can take pictures...the screen seems perfectly adequate for me. 4 stars for a really good design, 5 to push the rating up on a phone that deserves more notice.
