Reviewed by Ralph Halstead on 22/12/2009 In my view this is the best touch screen for its price on the market. It has good battery life, a very good camera and is easy to use. Rating:
Reviewed by john on 20/12/2009 I bought it two weeks ago, and so far I am pretty happy with it. Wifi works great. Response is great. Take a time to get used to a touchscreen writing, but that is only a matter of time. Pictures are not DSLR quality, but for me acceptable. I don't regret that I bought it! Rating:
Reviewed by Sam on 20/12/2009 This phone is awesome. The applications are ace and they are easy to use. The stylus that comes with the phone is very useful if you have large fingers or have difficulties using touch screen phones. The sound qaulity however is not that amazing compared to the old Samsung E900 phone. Overall this is a great phone to buy and i would reccomend it for all those music lovers out there. Great Purchase and great gift for the mass market :) Rating:
Reviewed by Peter on 20/12/2009 Got this on the 8th of Dec & it was returned on the 19th. The reasons for its return are: some music tracks bluetoothed over from my other phone wouldnt play properly, they either stopped after a minute or so, or failed to play at all. The camera flash stopped working. The touchscreen itself froze randomly and the battery had to be removed. The battery wouldnt last 1 day. Shame. I may have been unlucky, but thought id better warn any others. Anyways, Happy Christmas to all and best wishes for 2010 Rating:
Reviewed by mike on 20/12/2009 got this phone about week ago, i am well impressed.still getting the hang of it but has been good what i have discovered so far. Rating:
Reviewed by joe pace on 19/12/2009 i got this phone a couple weeks ago and it's great. no trouble but not very strong. i sat on it last night and my huge fat ass cracked it!!! Rating:
Reviewed by Jordan B on 19/12/2009 I dont have this phone but still. So its a cool phone it looks cool its ncie and thin sorta like the 5800 just thinner and some features better sopme features good. Compared to tocco lite which alot of people are going for i would say 5530 but thats my view also its good for music has a 4gb memory card with it and on the phone it has a button to skip straight to music. Reviewed by syed zaidi on 17/12/2009 i just got this phone on pay monthly contract from virgin, and man i am simply amazed.. i have also used iphone so i am in a better position to compare this little phone with something pricy.. all i want to say is just dont be put off because it doesnot have 3g, it does have wifi and i use it 99.99% time anyway.. it has gps software but to support navigation you can add 12 quid bluetooth dongle and you are all set.. all in all its a very very good phone for its price.. Reviewed by Max on 16/12/2009 This is a great phone but some problems arise such as the back of it is giving me something to worry about. Its a bit loose after a very short time but a simple solution to this would be to take more care when installing the battery for the first time. Also, it sometimes is very slow and it also turns off on its own sometimes. Actually if anyone has any suggestions as to how to solve this please let me know! I love the camera and the speakers are great and for what I paid, overall this phone was a great buy. However if you have a bit of extra cash I would go for the 5800 instead! Rating:
Reviewed by emm on 16/12/2009 serisly this phone is rubbish.. i've had this phone for 2months nd i've had to take it back twice it turns off all the time and it doesnt let me txt :/ not impressed with it to be honest. Rating:
Reviewed by Tasha on 14/12/2009 Good phone, shame it doesn't actually work! It has all the right features, but I've had it repaired twice and changed twice and every time it still crashes, freezes etc. I'm glad to see the back of it Rating:
Reviewed by Tricia on 13/12/2009 I have just taken this phone back and have now had two of them. The screens keep freezing and I think its awful when a phone is £150 and does this. I have now spent the extra £50 and had a 5800 which so far is a much better phone. Im well pleased with the 5800. Rating:
Reviewed by terry on 12/12/2009 another great phone from nokia,i used to have an lg arena (drove me nuts!) but this touchscreen phone is very good in comparison.i can get album art on it for a start (impossible on the arena) its very easy to navigate the different menus, battery life seems fairly decent, only gripe is the keylock slide thingy on the side is fiddly.(and it rattles!) Rating:
Reviewed by andy on 12/12/2009 great phone, well was until i dropped it in the sink and even after that i dried it out and it works, only things wrong was the screen being dull and the headphone jack not working, really it looks fragile but its very tough, mite get insurance on it soon though, highly recommended Rating:
Reviewed by Tricia on 11/12/2009 Since buying this phone I have taken it back twice as the screen keeps freezing. My friend also has the same problem Its such a shame this happens as the phone itself is nice. Rating:
Reviewed by Paul, Nottingham on 11/12/2009 Just got my 5530 on Virgin £10/month contract. What can I say - it's just amazing. All the toys you need plus wifi - forget expensive 3G, free wifi is so much better & means you can get your emails for free when abroad. Sound quality on the supplied 'phones is great, it's worth considering as a music player with a phone thrown in. I'm a 49-yr old pretty tech-savvy guy and found the phone very easy to get started with. 10/10 Nokia, excellent! Rating:
Reviewed by Jay on 18/11/2009 Fantastic touch-screen phone with wi-fi, camera, flash, video, and music player (up to 16GB)with stereo speakers. Screen is beautiful, very high resolution, sharp and colourful. Phone slim and light, fits easily in your pocket and screen is large enough to browse the web without too much difficulty. Wi-fi works very fast. Music capability is especially strong. It comes with a 4GB memory card, which is fine for most purposes, but it can be expanded to 16GB which would hold most people's entire CD collections. Sound quality is excellent through earphones, and even good through the stereo speakers on the phone itself. The nokia PC software for music is easy to use and transfers MP3s to phone very quickly, and you don't have to keep all the music files on your PC as well as the phone, as you have to with an ipod or iphone. You can also use Windows Media Player for transferring music to the phone. Texting on a touch screen phone took some getting used to, and I st ill prefer texting with a conventional keypad - but I am used to this now. The phone holds signal well (Virgin) and call quality seems fine, if not outstanding. The camera, with flash, is useful and gives some good results, especially in the day-time. I mainly use the phone for calls, texting, music and occasionally for wi-fi and photos. Great value, much cheaper than other wi-fi phones, and you Nokia are always good for reliability and user-friendliness. Buy buy buy! Rating:
Reviewed by Niki on 15/10/2009 I bought this phone about a month ago and it keeps mucking up ive sent it back for repair 5 times, it keeps switching itself off, freezes alot and after a while it doesnt let you make calls. It was a great phone for the first 2 weeks, after that its pathetic. Rating:
