Reviewed by Horace on 18/04/2010 I've had this phone for about 7 years now and it's still going strong. The most reliable phone I've ever owned. The battery lasts for 4-5 days (more than anyone else's phone that I know) and you can drop the thing and it still survives. It does everything that is required of a phone, messaging (and multimedia), calls and ... well, that's about all anyone *needs* isnt it? Find one of these, and have it last as long as mine has. You won't regret it. Rating:

Reviewed by Peter on 10/09/2009 Second hand to me a few years ago as a cheap upgrade from a Nokia 3310. I'm a pretty undemanding mobile phone user in terms of lots of functions, but do like to see reliability - the 3510i has certainly given me that and is still going strong. OK, the legends have just about worn off the keys, but thats the only appreciable degradation (and easily fixed by a £2-3 replacement from EBay). Not modern, but does almost everything that I might want a basic phone to do, even after years of being jangled around in various pockets and bags. A £25 basic phone today would probably replicate all the functions, but would it last as well as the faithfull 3510i? Only time would tell, but I doubt it! 3510i: A Basic, but very reliable phone - built like a brick toilet! Rating:
Reviewed by Malcolm Webb on 30/08/2009 I got this phone originally as a free upgrade from O2 in 2002. It is the easiest phone I have ever used. It makes and receives phone calls and sends and receives texts. That's all I want it to do. I got a free upgrade again in 2005 -- an all-singing, all-dancing Sony Ericson. Every time I picked it up I accidentally connected to the internet or took a picture. I couldn't respond to text messages -- it was totally beyond me. I gave it to my daughter who thought it was absolutely fantastic. I bought a reconditioned 3510i on E-Bay for £10 as my original keypad was wearing out, and I mixed and matched parts between the 2. I have recently dropped my 3510i in some water. It still works but just in case it fails anytime soon I have just bought another reconditioned unit on E-Bay for another £10. I now have 3 fully working 3510i's, and 3 batteries which I keep fully charged so am never without my phone due to a flat battery. There are not enough stars available for me to rate this phone. If all you want is a simple phone to send and receive phone calls and to send and receive texts this is the one. An excellent, easy to use piece of kit. Rating:
Reviewed by Meimi132 on 01/06/2009 It KICKS ASS!!! I've had mine 6 years and it still works, the battery life is just as good as when I got it. Both the keypads I had have worn out, but its still very much usable. I've never had any problems with it. Probably why I'm sticking with Nokia's from now on. Rating:

The battery lasts about 5 days, the buttons are a nice size, it's got an old style colour screen which is good for it's age. It is an excellent phone and I have had it for four years. It has never let me down It is excellent for text messaging as the text is bold and clear and easy to read, unlike many newer phones which have very fine text, which is very hard to read without reading glasses. Not all phone users are teenagers and it is a pity that Nokia don't seem to have a modern camera phone with decent text size. The only downside is the lack of a camera. It has never failed me and I have never experienced any of the faults in some of the reviews. I am very reluctant to part with it as I will not be able to buy another one like it now. Great little phone. Rating:

Reviewed by Ben Sutcliffe on 26/12/2006 I've had this phone for years and it still works! I've been using it daily for 3 years and for what it can do (ie. not much) it's pretty good. The keys are waring away so I'm finally looking for a new phone. When I first got this phone it was top of the range- now it's pritty much bottom of it but it still offers quite alot! For anybody new to mobile phones this phone is very easy to use. It's simple to do things with it and you can MMS and it does have WAP. You can easily get in to text messages and the keypad is well laid out so that you can send texts easily. For anybody who wants to go a bit further the phone accepts downloaded games and with a few more clicks you can both email and MMS. As I say, my 3510i is losing it now, but it still works and although the keypad is scratching off there are no other marks even though I'm extremely clumsy and often drop it. What really sold it to me was the fact that there are lights on (one orange light down) each side. I only know of one other phone that has this! Today this phone doesn't reach 5* and compared to your Sony Ericsons and Motorolas it's a caveman but for what it does do it goes beyond 5*. Rating:
Reviewed by Viktor Zafirovski on 18/12/2006 I can't believe the reviews people have been giving the Nokia 3510i. I've had mine for 4 years and every day I'm more certain that it is the best phone ever. The screen darkness thing. Come on. Its not that dark and the contrast and auto light off is adjustable. What i liked most about this phone is its durability (lol). I've probably dropped my phone on pure asphalt like 70 times and it never shows any sign of damage. Not even a scratch. The GPRS service is also amazing and its very easy to download content. My favorite thing about this phone is the Li-ion battery. It can last up to 12 days (tested)which is great for people who are on the go. Another great personality is the powerful (internal or "built in") antenna with which you could get a signal even if you were down the grand canyon (I haven't really done this but i have had a pure signal in many different widely unpopulated areas, mostly mountains). Hope this review helped, Sincerely, Viktor Rating:

Reviewed by Danny Jeffery on 23-06-2005 I have had this phone for some time now and it has generally been pretty good. It's a pretty bog standard phone without any cool gizmos like some of the newer phones have. Also, it is limited when it comes to ringtones and the only way I have found to connect it to your computer is through a bizarre shaped cable that requires removal of the back cover and the battery. As with most Nokias, MSGing is good with predictive texts etc. My only real complaint with this phone (Apart from being somewhat geriatric now) is that one by one the buttons have stopped working properly. This is a pain when you're trying to lock / unlock it with a temperamental * key!! other than that, very solid and a nice phone. Rating:
Reviewed by JRHTowers on 13-06-2005 Although it lacks many of the more sophisticated features of later phones, in terms of its ergonomics, this is the best I have ever used (and I used many). The keys are nicely spaced and also extremely well illuminated when pressed without any noticable compromise to battery life. In fact the keys are clearly visible in any light from bright sunlight to pitch dark which makes for very fast texting, a process which many newer phones manage to make extremely difficult, particularly in semi-light conditions. The screen font size is also nice and big which makes it very legible. One seemingly little-known feature of this phone is its huge text capacity for SMS messages. If Nokia were to combine the same ergonomics into a more modern design (and perhaps smooth the keys off a liitle), they would have a winner. Rating:
Reviewed by Blue Fanatic on 04-06-2005 Well... I've had this phone since September 2003 until the begining of May 2005 - that's when it broke. I don't know why it happened. I was browsing the Internet when it switched off, and it wouldn't turn on again. I thought there was something wrong with the battery, but I found out that it's something more serious. Fixing it would cost more than the phone is worth, so I decided to let it go and buy a new one... When my phone was still working, I was always complaining about the display (not enough colors), the fact that it doesn't have a camera, it doesn't have mp3 ringtones, etc. Now, I realise it wasn't that bad! It might not be the most modern phone you can get, but you can get used to it. I miss it. I still have it, actually. It's in my drawer, and I just can't get rid of it. I've become attached :P. Overall, I had fun with it. I would definitely recommend it for someone who wants a simple phone that doesn't have to be super modern. Rating:

So my advice: if you are in a store and you'll see this stupid hideous thing...don't buy it don't even look at it! Rating:
Reviewed by Dave Wyatt on 07-03-2004 Not up to Nokia's standard. I bought one which had a faulty display and was replaced which also had the same fault. So eventually got my money back. Rating:

Reviewed by Alex M on 10-02-2004 This phone is OK but it\'s nothing special. When i first got this phone i was really happy with it for about the first week but then it very quickly got booring. Soon after i got this phone, i was comparing it to my friends phone (cant remember what type it was) and his had loads more features than mine, a better & brighter screen, better quality ringtones and was smaller but at the same price. This was when i realised that the 3510i was not as good as i thought and was no better my old phone (3210). It just had a colour screen and WAP which i never use. However, there are some good points about this phone aswell. It is extreamly user friendly and easy to use, it\'s very clear and easy to listen to, erm... i cant think of any more, there are some other good points about it but they\'r too small to bother mentioning. Now listen the colour screen really, no really is ####. Rating:
Reviewed by Damian on 25-11-2003 I have this phone a month now and it has to be said that it has a lot of features such as java, polyphonic ringtones and mms. The phone is quite cheap but that is for a reason which can be easily spotted when compared to a Sharp GX 10. The Nokia 3510i has only got 4 Chord Polyphonic ring tones which i compared with the sharps 16 chord ones and the difference was definately noticable. the quality of the pictures on the phone is very poor too. if you just want a phone with the latest features but don\'t mind the quality of them this phone is fine. otherwise go for a 7250i or a Sharp phone Rating:
