this model served me weel many years ago before I decided to go with a more modern handset. Nokia N95 (faulty). Samsung D600 (faulty) . 3 different models of stupid blackberrys (faulty with rediculously poor battery life) . Then it seemed my problems were over when I heard such good reviews about i phones. NO! . Excellent idea but give me a shout when there finished because guess what (FAULTY!!!). The 3310 came out of the draw, charged up without switching off or crashing, and lasted a full day at work with a number of different calls from customers. Modern phones seem to do everything and then when you go to make a phone call you get - SEARCHING FOR 3G PLEASE WAIT. NO!. Just give me a phone that repeatedly makes phone calls doesnt switch its self off and doesnt have a camera. i have a camera. if i am going somewhere i think i may need to take a picture i will take a camera!!! well done Nokia, you possibly made one of the best phones of all time.

Yes, the date of this review is correct. After putting my 6300i through a 60degC wash with dirty nappies six months ago it finally gave up the ghost yesterday. What to do? Go and buy another over complicated mobile phone for £££s or do something else? I opted for doing something else. I don't need internet access or bluetooth, so I went in the attic and dug out the 3310 from its slumber. Battery charged, sim card in and I'm back. It works, the ringtones are LOUD and I can send and receive text messages. Apart from sending daft pictures, I can do everything I did before (Facebook is the forum for daft pictures nowadays). Awesome phone.

i had this phone when i was 7 as my first phone wen it came out and i still love it today! ive had loads of modern phones over the years, but this lcd "brick" phone has got to have its credit! its a great phone and even thou people call it the "brick" it doesnt mean it is as heavy or chunky as one! its quiet slim and not heavy at all in fact it fits in ur pocket nicely and very hard wearing. ive dropped mine millions of times wen i was little but its still kept going!it has a range of cases you can buy to customise it and the games are such classic ones. eg smake 2 is such a fun arcade game of the 70's its hard to put down and the ringtones are great too. it has a good loudspeaker, stores a good amount of contact numbers, good large font and takes up to 4 pages per text! overall a great phone! reviewed by becky aged 19

I still have my old nokia 3310 and I have to say it was the best phone I've ever had, as in I can drop it from my bedroom window it'll be fine; I can drop it in the bath, still works perfectly; I can jump on it and its still intact; throw it at a wall? All good. Physically impossible to break. I remember being 11 and wanting a new phone, and trying to break it - I failed. I have Nokia 5800 Music Xpress these days and it's giving me trouble, so I tend to use my old 3310, sooo much better. Oh and you get to play snake :P SUCH A GOOD GAME!

If you ar like me, and oldie, not interested in fashion statements and want a solid, reliable mobile then a 3310 (if you can still find one) is the way to go.

ok, am gonna review the worst phone in the world: here i go. basically the 3310 has no features, rubbish battery life, and is just about the most awful phone you can get. It has really high levels of radiation, and vibrates in your ear when trying to make a call. I got this phone for free off my granny, when even she had moved on... i needed one of sorts and this was the one i got. i find it embarrasing having the loud, blaring ringtones go off in my pocket and i get all sorts of 'join the 21st century' stares when i pull it out. The pin number does not work and neither does the call barring service. for ten quid you are much better off getting the simple but functional motofone f3. PS. I have just bought the iphone, which of course is a hundred and one times better, but i have not had time to review it yet. have a look soon. PPS. I gave it one whole star coz that's the lowest but it doesnt deserve even that...

I've had five of these since 2000. The first one was a business phone I had to give back when I left the company. The second one had a problem when it was new: it switched off all the time. It was repaired and worked fine until 2006 when it fell and started to loose contact with the network since then. The other three are still in daily use by my wife and me. I can see no reason why I should replace them by another model and since I also have a 3310 carkit, I won't. Batterylife is not it's strongest point, but it is charged in the carkit every day and spare batteries (or even complete phones) are very cheap. I bought number 5 for only 12,50 euro and got number four for free!

A legendary phone

Great little phone, had mine a few months now - no complaints whatsoever. Considering it's size and cost, it's very comparable to a lot of the similar (but a lot more expensive) phones in its class. This phone also has heaps of style, so you can customise it to look just about however you want - business, sophisticated, fun.. etc. Definately one to consider if upgrading - and a lot more reliable that those flip phones!!.. to to good --- good -- to now BUT.?
