I hate this phone its ugly and doesnt work propaly its stupid but it probably because its a display model but otherwise it would probaby be very good although i have to say honestly its probably the worst phone motorola have ever made

this fone is total waste of money. this is my 2nd fone and both broke the first one freazes the whole time and the other 1 screen doesn't want to turn on. if you have any advice please email me: wilcocoetzee@gmail.com

I loved everything about this phone, until THE JOYSTICK BROKE! i had only had it for 1 month and the joystick fell off! This is a rubbish phone!

hello my name is audrey clay ... and bought on of yalls v80 phones and my battery died well i cant find one anywhere and i ppaid $369 for that phone . you would think it would come with a another battery..or the new battery wont die in 6 months! i love the phone but i cant find a new battery! what should i do? please email me back monkeyball_121@yahoo.com

Well the moment i got this phone the toggle came off without any force it just poped out. So ovb. i got a replacement the same thing happend to it again! so i just left it, and now i have to force it to move. All I can say for th phone s that the camera is good quality but the phoneit self is Rubbish

Just a point of advice, if anybody wants a phone that will make people
complement them, buy a Samsung D500. Even 18 months after it came out,
the Samsung D500 is still a fasionable phone. If you don't fancy a D500,
then a Nokia 6230i should earn you the same level of praise, but the Samsung D500 has that edge. Don't buy this as it sounds a rubbush phone

after the 14 replacements i have had before, i was forced by o2 in luton to use another v80 while my samsung e720 went for repair,
i opened the box in the store, turned on, no screen or lights, but audio worked
as a result, i now have on loan a nokia to the person who stated, if you dont like the phone, get a boring nokia.
you must be lucky not to have had faults with yours, i have a nokia, samsung, moto(v66)and a blackberry all running with no problems,
that( v80) was the only phone i have had issues with

That is me at the end of my contract and what can I say except I am really happy. I thought it looked like a great phone and the comments I've been getting have been great. The problem is the phone is not reliable. I had the phone 3 days when it stopped working. I sent it back and got a replacement but it hasn't been very reliable either. Don't get me wrong, when it works it is good but for me that hasn't happened much. The texts/phone freeze, the phone switches itself off, it sends random messages to people - when its been in my bag! I have been trying to return
this one but haven't been having much luck with my service provider. If I had the choice I would have got rid of it long ago. During most of my time with this phone I've had to carry my old phone with me everywhere as well incase the V80 phone decides it doesn't want to work! To me that is not acceptable. If you are looking for the trendy phone that gets you the amazing comments it's the phone for you. However if you
are after a phone that you can rely on GET ANOTHER ONE!

You have probably read alot of reviews about the motorola v80 but please
read this 1. I have had my motorola v80 for a year now and it has been
nothing but trouble. It is very fashionable. I luv it when i open itand my
friends go WOW! COOL! But Hald a yearago i had to take it back to Carphone Warehouse beacause it wouldn't charge properly and when i finished playing ' hungry fish ' it wold switch off and swithback on again and say no service. It still does that even though it was supposed to be sorted. I am not laming carphone warehouse but the phone shouldn't be doing that
after just half a year!! Now after a year it is not keeping its charge,
switching on and off after i play ' hungry fish AND not wanting to charge
properly. Unfortunetly i am not allowed a new phone so i am stuck with
this 1 !!!!! I wish i had never wasted my money on the phone. I will
neverbuy another motorola EVER!!!!! Hope this review has helped atleast somebody thanx 4 reading !!

I bought 2 of these phones. 1 for myself and the other for my wife about 18 months ago. I have to say what great phones they have been. Never had any problems with them and have served us well.
Even though we have now upgraded to different handsets which again are motorola we have still kept the 2 V80 as we love them and don't want to part with them.
Yes i agree with some of the reviews that you can get better spec phones for your money but who else really makes such lovely looking phones as Motorola.
So the V80 are both still with us and yes we still use them. More of a spare phone now really but such a great phone they are still both used on a regular basis.

i have already give a review in this phone on the 15 march...i gave it a 4 star ...i am now changing my opinion as i think its a poor phone!....i have had this phone a year in 3 weeks...the joystick always falls out or dislocates...the memory storage is TINY..the text storage in tiny....it taks forever to lode onto what ypu want...aways freezes and crashes....turns itself off all the time....on the good side the camera quality is exceled ....its a brilliant looking phone and the games and its very slick and smooth ...the fact it flicks its great people alway stp stare and go wow....but if u only want a phone for its look then get it otherwise get a better phone that looks just as good .....thsi isnt a phone you should buy as its poor and a rubbish quality
that was my 100% honest opinion pleae respect my review and listen 2 me dnt buy that phone!!!!

I have had nothing but trouble from this phone which i bought from the 02 website. I have had to have it repaired three times. The first time the screen just went blank and the second time all the audio went, the third time it was the mic so although you could hear people you rang they couldn't hear you! I live 25 miles from an 02 shop and although I got it online they insisted each time that i took it to the shop for repair. Eventually after contacting trading standards I found out that they have to give me a long lasting effective repair without 'undue inconvenience'. A 50 mile round trip each time to drop it off and collect it was very inconvenient! When I mentioned trading standards they sent me a different phone! Avoid at all costs. It looks nice but that's about all!

after four months and 14 replacements O2 finally gave me a samsung phone instaed, no the many people who say that these faults are caused by heavy handedness, but come on- how heavy handed can you be removing the phone out of the box to find NO green joystic on phnne, outer casing of screen cracked and to make it worse (much to the annoyance to robin at the 02 store it had a vodafone bios on it como on motorola pull your thumb out this phone is a sound design, do a rethink like you did with the v66 and fix the problems - my v66i has never had a problem (ulike my old v66 original) if the phone could be re-risen i would go and buy it but after 14 replacements motorola phones dont really stand up to the branding - intellegent thinking

i love this phone and i am soon going to be getting it for myself. my friend has this phone and it has so many features and her 'green button' has never fallen off.(and i no for a fact that a bit of superglue works the treat)for all you people that say that its rubbish your all nuts and if you hate it so much go out and buy a boring nokia!

If you are looking for a phone with no joy stick then heres the phone for you! i have completely lost the "little green button" somewhere in my room! ive had the phone for a year now and after many nites out with the phone in my bag every nite i have to look for the button at the bottom of it! the ringtones are far to quiet and i have missed my calls many times! the camera is absolutely rubbish and theres no video! it constantly crashed and ive had problems with it for a while. thank god i now have the sony ericsson w800i. brilliant phone much better than the v80!

If there was a "Rubbish" rating, I would put it! This rubbish little phone is a rubbish piece of rubbish!! Rubbish Phone. Dont buy one. If you have one throw it away. First Fone joy stick fell off, Second Fone Flip front failed. 3rd Fone failed after two days.. cuts out part way through the start up flashing light routine, screen is blank. Utter rubbish !!!

I had this phone for around 3 months and it is RUBBISH it is very flimsy and the middle jystick had ocme off within a week of general use. the screen damaged three times and it wasnt dropped or anything, it just burnt out. This phone is ok, if ur gonna keep it in a padded box and now actually use it. However, camera is gud quality and the rythm ligght are well cool.

I LOVE THE PHONE, THE LIGHTS, THE SCREEN .... EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PHONE. I have had this phone for a year now and I have not had a problem with it. I love the way I can pick different lights to flash when my friends call. I have great reception with te phone, many times I used it in an elevator...yeah I know I was shocked too. Anyone that is looking for a phone this is the phone for you. I do think that it's more girly though but for all those men that have a feminine side..rock on with the Motorola v80!!!!!!

The Motorola V80 won me over with its cool design and fascinating opening mechanism. I am a big fan of the flip phone and thought this phone and i would get on well. It has numerous functions, most of which i have not used because the manual doesn't explain clearly what they are or how they work. The ringtones are various, ranging from a normal rings which i prefer to polyphonic music and vibrate alerts and even flashing disco lights if thats you thing. On the downside however, i did not like the joystick button. it was difficult to control sometimes and tended to pick menus i didn't want; it tended to freeze everytime i wanted to access my voicemails; and it didn't always alert me when i had a message or a missed call. I also didn't like my main screen being so exposed, unlike a normal flip phone. I will be buying a proper flip phone in the future.

I had this phone at chrimbo and i thort it was amazin. Mind soon changed. The internet connection didnt work, along with the camera failing to send piccys to all my m8s. The rotation is good along with the colour screen, however, if like me you cant stand getin finga prints all over da phone cover dont buy it. Such a pathetic design and the keypad is really small. ( Although i hav had no probs with it so far) Spend your money elsewhere.

Not bad. I really like the flip function and the lights. I basiclly like everything about the phone except the joystick, sound, and the cover. The joystick is hard to control and i always seem to press the wrong button. Also one day my phone was on my bed and i accidently kneed it so the joystick fell of. Now i have a broken joystick which comes off whenever i take it out of my pocket. The sound when i talk to someone on the phone is also very loud. People around me can hear what the people im talking to are saying which is very bad when your sister is right next to you listening to your conversation. Also the shiny cover leaves fingerprint marks and things. Also since i put my face on the screen it also gets al smeared but then again this happend to all the phones. I think that you should get this phone if you are careful with your phone because the joystick comes off easily. Overall i really enjoy this phone.

Not a bad phone for a while, until the swing thing started to anoy me, it really blood annoying. Then i take it out of my pocket and the green joystick fell off, it literally just broke off. Then i took it to get fixed and now, even though it was fixed it still looks broken. Also, the thing i didn't like was the small buttons, man they are just too small for my liking. plus, when you listening to a call, the volume is just too high and i have no idea how to lower it. also. texting, i have no way of of making the predicted text to stay unset, there is no command where i can keep the texting to normal letter button texting. A good phone if you want something interesting and the features it have isn't all that bad.and its small but if you want a stress free phone. don't get this one. stick with a phone where the monitor and keypad is on one level

God awful phone, do not buy. It was great for a few weeks until it literally started to fall apart. I have since had it repaired twice and it's still a heap of junk. The keys are horrible, the green joystick falls off and finally the screen died on me. I just wanted to cry.

Absolute heap of junk. I have had to return 2 for repair and am now on my third. I don't expect this one to last for long. Soon the joystick will fall off or the screen will fail like the previous ones. Even if that doesn't happen, then I will have to tolerate pathetic Bluetooth connections, awful menus, rubbish predictive text, duff key[pad, dropping calls, ... do not make the mistake of thinking that this is a good phone. Do not even be tempted to believe it is acceptable. In fact, do not accept the phone even if it is given to you free. It is worse than useless.

It has now gone past my birthday and i have got it. It is brillient. I got it on orange pay monthly in Whitby. It is the first camera phone I have had, so I working out how to do everthing. The only thing is the landscape mode on the camera is not as good as portrait, but hey, its much better my old Phillps savvy, Samsung a800 and nokia 3310. Out of 100,000,000, I would give it 100,000,000,000000000000000000000000000000000000000.

I agree with Alan. It's a kool fone. Has all the features you want like a digital camera, downloadable ringtones, wallpaper, good colour screen, etc, etc. Being a Motorola it's different from your bog standard Nokia, and in fact it's a unique design from Motorola. Excellent!

Very stylish phone. One to be seen with around town! The opening mechanism is so cool, you push on the phone and it swivels round and opens! Loads of features, especially the camera means that you won't get bored with this phone. Buy it!!!
