This is my first mobile and it's not that bad! About it being 'susceptible to damage' well it was my sisters phone before it was mine and has been broken and fallen apart so many times that if it were any other phone it wouldn't be working, but - apart from a few scratches - it's the perfect starter phone. On the downside the camera is truly TERRIBLE! Not one picture I've taken so far so turned out right or even without looking like one of those pictures you're meant to 'look past' but you can never see it really. It's very cute and hasn't broken, frozen, crashed or had to be fixed at all. Personally, I've always had GREAT reception with it and have actually never been able to call someone with it! Another dowside is that it might be small in length but it is EXTREMELY thick. I don't take it to school because it just makes a big buldge in one side of my blazer! Overall a great first phone, an acceptable phone a couple of years ago, but now it's a flip brick. (Or at least that's my nickname for it ;) )

Had this phone for 6 years and only now considering changing it (because the charger socket has gone a bit wobbly). Excellent phone - I hope the next one is as good.

I really thought highly of Motorola products until I took it in for repairs. The part I needed was unavailable in the country of Thailand where I work as a missionary/pastor and live. Now I'm forced to by a competitor but this time I'll do my homework and make sure that repairs can be made without having to buy a new one. So my review although a little bias; Great phone just make sure you live in a country where you can get repairs!!

screen is tiny but text is big very. slow phone and quite bulky cant fit pocket. cam picture is bad but very low mp 0.3 i think. my advice buy a Samsung j700

If you want a seriously rubbish phone, don't buy this. It doesn't even live up to being rubbish. It's well below rubbish. There is no word to describe how **** this phone really is. After a day of getting it I realised how ****** the phone is.

Quite a solid phone, bought nearly 4 year ago and working perfectly still, not so good quality pics and not enough room for video taking but is fine for kids.Worse thing is the lack of memory and the pre installed stuff cannot be deleted.Shame but I still love this phone even though it is now my sons.Very sturdy as my very hyperactive son has it and he left it up a tree for 4 days in rain and freezing weather and it still worked. There are sometimes it crashes but you just turn it on and off to make it work again.

This was my first phone, great little thing that was simple and basic. It had a battery life of about three days which I thought was ok but my current phone lasts for about a week and a half. But anyway it's got a camera of something like 0.5 megapixals. But if you want a nice cheap phone that's the one to go for. The one thing I missed on it was bluetooth

All round a good phone, pretty basic but is good for texting and calling with easy to read and press buttons. Screen probably a bit small but with a simplistic interface it is easy to navigate around. Camera is ok, not too great if you like taking lots of pictures. Had it for a good few years and had not too many defects and so it is fairly reliable, especially with a great battery life. Without bluetooth, a decent camera, and a lack of other fairly standard features, it is a good starting phone, wouldn't recommend if you've had much experience with top end phones. GOOD POINTS: Easy to use, lightweight, user friendly, long battery life, reliable, fairly robust, value for money BAD POINTS: Small screen, lack of features, not great camera, can't store a lot of stuff, not uniquely excitng. WOULD RECOMMEND TO: begginer phone users, those who want a simple and reliable phone, with some amount of modern style, perhaps youngsters who are getting thier first phone, or the edlerly, with a simplistic design. WOULD'NT RECOMMEND TO: to those who use thier phone a lot, used to upmarket models, like a lot of music and pictures, like good style and lots of functionality and utilities.

I/ve been using thes 'phones for a good few years, and, whatever else they are, they've served me very well, given the low price I paid for them. If you're looking for a phone which has all the "bells & wWhistles" or to make a fashion statement, then the V200 is not for you. Or if you're seeking to impress folk you don't know, with a 'phone you bought on credit, once again, the V20's not for you. One of the more useful things about this 'phone is its built in camera. When I've been travelling round about, I take a picture of where I've started my journey, and this means that I can ask for directions how to get back there. OK, low definition perhaps, but I don't expect my digital camera to make a decent cup of coffee either. On the other hand, if you're looking fo a 'phonr which doesn't cost a fortune, and works as well as most of it's vintage, then the V220 is a reasonable buy.

My phone is a nightmare. I have had two new screens which are expensive because they come complete with speaker. I have had my phone three years and am on my fouth battery. When this packs up I will NOT be looking for another.

this phone is indestructible!!! i have dropped it on roads, thown it, it has hit the ceiling, hit the floor again. all that happens is the back falls off and sometimes the battery falls out. you just put it back in and switch it back on - it always works again!! i think ive had it for about 2 1/2 years - the only thing that is now starting to happen is that it isnt holding its battery long. i want to get another battery, though - its cheaper, and I LOVE THIS PHONE!!!

Reasonably happy with this phone. Light usage for phone and text only (on pay-as you-go. Dropped once (on grass) and screen is now unreadable. Cannot recommend.

ive had this phone for ages and it was reasonably priced when i got it. The camera is appalling and the screens arent exactly big. After several years of not looking after it well it finally stopped working and will not charge up at all although i suspect the problem is only the battery.

hmm mixed feeling about this phone. aesthetically, its a bit plain, scratches easily and when folded is a bit chunky for my liking. ive had it for about 6 months - one of the keys is broken but i put that down to overuse. it is very basic, camera leaves much to be desired etc but to start with its not too bad. signal is the best of all my familys phones, but after a few months the battery life became really bad - like a day at most. got the battery changed and its a bit better, but it does insist on crashing all the time. great for a cheap phone that you wont need for more than a few months, but otherwise dont bother. distinctly mediocre.

I got my phone in 2007, unlocked for $CAN 100. I have my Canadian SIM card as a Fido prepaid. It puts me on the Rogers network for $10 month. I buy foreign SIM cards when I travel. I'm going to Germany in April. I have choices of cards with plans for outgoing calls to Canada from about 12 cents a minute and free incoming calls. I agree that the camera is poor, but I already have a 6 megapixel Pentax, so why would I need a camera phone anyway? Excellent stand by time on the battery. I would like a few more standard rings though.

I have to charge it daily if I make even a 10 minute call. It's a nightmare because if you haven't charged it in the last day and someone calls you the phone is likely to die on you.

I got this phone for my birthday when I was 10 and I loved it! Now I hate it and I love the sony erricson phones especially the w580i I really like the pink one :P. I really hate the motorola v220 it was my first phone and it's got a rubbish camera it's just sooo boring no walkman or anything. It also takes a long time until you get your texts :@. I really want to sell it and put the money towards my new one but I don't know how much the phone would be to sell. Any ideas??

I have this phone and there are many down features, for example, if I just leave my phone in my bag for five minuets, it switches itself off and won't let me turn it on again until I put it on charge!!! Also, the pictures I take are fuzzy and the light is always wrong. The ringtones are bad, but at least the sound is good quality. However, I'm not recieving any of my texts until at least a day after they were sent! Grrrr...

i got this phone when i was about 12. i havent had any problems as such but i would just like to say that at the price it is, you could probably find a much better phone. the camera is poor, but the keys are easy to use and the screen is clear. xx

I've had this phone for nearly 3 years now and I love it. It's realiable and hardwearing. It even sat in a bag that was inadventantly full of water for over 2 hours and still worked perfectly when it dried out. It's only now that the battery has started to fail and no longer holds its charge for very long. A great phone. I wish it was still made.

I dropped my V220 and it then became unreliable switching off intermittently so I abandoned it for the equivalent : W375. Unfortunately this has a different programme and is much harder to text with . The predictive text has no memory to speak of so I am always redialling common names - even my own it doesn't remember . Also it will not go to the end of the list for each letter if you hold down the key but you have to laboriously repeat the key till it reaches the end. I would go back to my V220 except that if as you say it has poor quality materials it would again not cope with any rough handling.

OMG. My motorola v22o didnt have an mp3 player. you couldnt even get any ringtones to work on it. There is no bluetooth so you cant transfer files form the mobile onto the computer. The digital camera is RUBBISH quality. Another small flaw is the messages. it doesnt tell you when you text how many pages you are currently taking up and you have to always change the mode of the type of way you want to text. When you first get it you'll be like wow but after 2-3 months it'll get boring.

this phone has lasted me two years, and it only broke when i put a screw in the charging hole.. heads up 4 other ppl out there, thats not a good idea. the camera broke after bout a year and a half, but it weren't that good anyway overall, a good phone 4 wat i use it 4, txtin.

I have had this phone for a magnificent two hole years, and it has not let me down once. It is very strong, as i have dropped it millions of times, and it is still in good condition. Though i must say that the camera is not superb, the colours are wierd. The battery life poor, it says 9.5 days, but it can only stay alive for five days without charge. Overall, the phone is amazing and has wicked blue lights and the flip style is cool. If you ever need a temparay phone, i reccomend you BUY THIS! (though i had it for two years, my dad thinks phones are a waste of money, but i am now upgrading to the wicked sony ericsson w600i!)

Thid phone was rubbish. It only worked for a month and even then it needed to be charged every night. The games are boring and wap is easy to access for little children. It is a phone that shouldn't be bought unless just wanted for basic texts and phone calls.

This phone is ****. Screen cracked 1 week after purchase. Got a replacement phone. Keypad stopped working after 5 days. Tried another replacement phone. The aerial fell off so, the signal went so I was unable to recieve or send, text messages or calls. Eventually, gave up on the phone and I bought a Sony Ericsson K510i. The camera facility is less than average. The display shows them as being too dark, or too light. Seriously, unimpressed.

I think its an excellent phone.Good quality sound, 4 x zoom camera.Very easy to unlock with software when you want to move with a different carrier. The camera definition is acceptable but its not a 2.3 mega pixel like most newer cam phone of today.

I have bough many phone during my professional price. The Motorola v220 is one that gave me the most satisfaction.It have excellent sound quality, a killer speaker phone.The camera is not to compare with the newest 1.3 mega pixel high price PDA phone. The 640 x 480 image quality is similar to older 1990s Desktop computers but is more than descent enough for a tiny phone like the Motorola v220.With a 4x zoom camera, it have equivalent strength to many early 2003 digital cameras. My profession requir me to make frequent travel inside north America.At that time I was with cingular but many states in the middle west doesnt quarenty reception with that provider.I love my moto v220 so much that I didnt want to buy a different phone for local provider. I needed then to unlock it but Cingular was reticent to give me an unlocking code.I can understand their decision, I was for more than 3 years in contract with them and always a good payer.After insistence, one costumer service agent suggest me to get a Cingular unlocking code card on Ebay. This cards are often provided my big cellular company like Cingular, Tmobiles and they have the logo of those companies.So it's perfectly legals because they are sold by those very same companies. My only regret was to purchase those unlocking cards for $35 on Ebay,because I discovered that Motorola V220 was very easy to unlock with a software and regular usb cable(include with the phone)if you want to do it yourself.If you don't have that cable, it is sold less than $5 dollars at any electronic stores.Furthermore the unlocking code for the v220 is all over the internet for free and you don't need any cable Without doubt in mind, I recommend that phone because if its price versus qualities.

i got it as my first phone and it has been alright. for a first phone it was fabulous but the camera quality isnt good at all. it was a blow that they didnt pet an mp3 player in it cause im a music lover. good for a first phone and alright overall.

I think the phone is great. I love it to pieces i use it all the time because its so easy to use. But there is just one thing i haven't worked out how to do it is change the ringtone for a text message and a diffrent tone for a call if someone who has this phone and can do that i would be extremly greatful if they would tell me using this site. thank - you Hannah.

Good, small phone with average camera for the price. Didn't bother getting USB and software (About �14.) It ended up breaking for no apparent reson, can't be bothered to get it fixed because I want to get a better phone and I got it cheap anyway.

This is definately a phone for people who hate having to use one. The battery barely lasts long enough to allow you to leave the charger at home even for a very short holiday, so conserving pwer is important. It's clumpy, slippery, heavy, and takes far too long too turn on and off, and the photos are usually bad quality. However, for the price, the colour screen, camera, games, ringtones, ability to personalise, and internet connection, this is not a totally horrendous phone. I've had this phone for years and so far has been dependable, but i would swap it in a second if i could find a slimmer, lighter, better one for a similar price.

I had this phone for 10 months with no problems, a few knocks and scratches here and there, but otherwise, it was OK. It wasn't until i dropped it that the screen went black and it stopped working for about a day or two, and then it shuddered back to life. It was a terrible phone, but i regret buying Motorola phones and i wish I'd never done it!

It's not a bad little phone. Trouble I have is that I can't hear it when it rings even on the loudest setting. The only way to download the photos is to text them to your own e-amil address. You can only buy the cable from Motorola for about �30 and I don't think there's any software. It's good but not for what I paid for it.

i bought a motorola v220 10 months ago and until recently had no problems with it but what i will say is the battery dont last very long before it needs recharging, 24hours in my case poor phone do not buy if you have any sense

I've had this phone for two years. Not once has it broken and it still works as good as when I first bought it. The camera may not be brilliant, but then if you've got a brain, you'll know to read the specs first, before you buy it. You know what you're getting yourself. I have no problems with the camera because I don't rely on the phone's camera, I bought a digital camera and you should do the same if all you're going to do is moan about the phone's camera. This phone was cheap and it was supposed to be for those people who didn't want to spend hundreds of pounds on something they weren't going to use often. If you think yourself above that, then go ahead and buy a �200 phone but don't complain when that does what every phone will one day do: break. The screen has never gone white/black/grey for me and the phone it always fast. I can dial numbers quickly and type a text with no problems. If you're the sort of person that doesn't want to buy an MP3 player and you w ant to rely on the phone for music, then don't buy this phone. You can see the memory on the phone before you buy it, which is why you have the internet. At the most, I've managed to fit 5 full-length songs onto it and I won't complain because I had the brains to buy an iPod too so I always have my music. Don't just buy a phone then complain about it. Use your heads and the internet to find out information about it before you hand your money over.

This was my old phone. I had it for 2 years and it done me no good. The speakerphone wasn't loud and it occasionally freezed. When i wanted to play a game, it would start very slow so your pushing the buttons like mad. It is a rubbish phone.

Not a bad phone for my needs - however, the snub aerial is a problem in that the screw thread has gone so it's "blu-tacked" at the moment but to be honest I don't know what function it performs as the phone works without the aerial anyway! Also the camera has sudddenly stopped working - select it and the screen goes blank and then goes back to the menu. If you just want a phone that sends and receives text & calls then it's a great buy.

I bought this phone ages ago, and I have now completely gone off it. The camera quality is very bad, and it doesn't have all the aspects of some of the more advanced motorola phones. Bluetooth, infrared, and video recordin are all non-available. Mine mucked up recently and has started blacking out everytime i try to go on to one of the areas in the setting section. I am searching fr a new one, possibly the Nokia 5200, Samsung Z400, SGH E520, or E70 on Samsung too. They are all slidy mobile phones and i think although they will be in a higher prvce budget that the Motorola V220, I think you will get a lot more for your money. For those people who will use the phone mainly for just making calls, texting and communicating, this would be okay. But for me, who would like Bluetooth/infrared so that i can transfer pictures, it is really unhelpful. For anyone willing to pay slightly more for a phone that you will get a lot more out of, the definetly lookeslewhere. If you si mply want to communicate, it can be quite a compact clamshell for just that purppose.

I got my Motorola for christmas and shortly after recieving it, it crashed if i selected some applications. I exchanged it for another one. After recieving my second Motorola V220 it crashed again. I had to take it back to swap it 3 times in total. I still have it 2 years on. I dont use it. i cannot make calls as the screen just blanks out. I cannot recieve calls. When i recieve text messages they always come through hours or sometimes even days late! the only thing i can do is text! This is a slow phone! Do not buy it!

i had this phone for about a year or just over. but after 6 months it started turning off by itself. whenever i flipped it up it turned off which was really anoying and the battery lasted 1 day. the screen is small. you might aswell not have a camera because its so rubbish and theres no bluetuth or even picture messaging. i've got a sony ericsson w810 i now an dits much better.

this phone is absolutely awful. whenever you go on personalize it freezes, blacks out and then looses total signal and you have to start the phone up again. Texts take ages to write and the phone is slow and constantly freezes. Do not buy this phone as you will regret it!

This phone is ok. I don't no if this is just my phone but the signal is poor. It says video but I don't know how you make them I don't even think you can. Which is abit annoying. If you are just after a reasonable, basic, colour screen, camera phone. This is for you!!

iv had one for about a year. it was only �30 so i thought it was a good price since it had a cmera and stuff. but iv just ordered another phone because it always turns off by itself, the camera is terrible and its got about 1 mb of memory. IM TELLING YOU DONT BUY IT!!

This phone can be good, unless you have the same problem as me. I tried to switch my phone on, but the screen was completely blank apart from it was illuminated a bit at the top. I can't do anything with it, no texting, phoning etc. because I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING ON IT! IT IS SO FRUSTRATING! I can tell the phone is on because when it's closed, there's a little screen that shows the time, how much signal and battery it has etc., and that's on. But I can't do anything else. Also this phone has no Bluetooth, infrared, a bad camera, no video recording facilities, quite bad signal (though that might be due to where I live), and not so great a battery life. Also it has quite a limited message Inbox and Outbox, and when they are full you can't send or recieve texts, so you have to delete pretty much everything in your Inbox and Outbox. Not good if you need to send a text in a hurry. Ok if you want a phone for basic needs and have a tight budget but if you're looking for a mo re high-tech phone and have more money to spend, I would recommend going somewhere else =]

this phone would be an ideal first phone. it was my first phone, i then moved on to the razr, and nw im planning on getting the w810i, however at the moment, im using it as a replacment. It is user freinly but with a dull screen and motorla, wheres video capture and the mp camrea!! the camrea is nothing in comparison to the v3, and some of the later motorola models but its a good bargin and doesnt have any major faults!! If you are on a budjet and are looking for a fun little phone (with great games inc photo funpack!) i reccomend it.

If your looking for a cheap phone that deos what you need with a standard camera then go for it. But be aware of the certain problems due to it freezing and turning off permanently, deleting memory and loosing picture.. I personaly think this phone is very poor due to the fact i have had it replaced 4 times.. which is ridiculas and you can now get better looking phones for cheaper now. I could rant all day! Motorala should take this one off the market...

My daughter had a pink one of these. The pink is the only thing still working : The camera died, reception is terrible and the battery short lived. They've got the pink thing working though, so if that's all you're bothered about - like my daughter - it'll give you several minutes of satisfaction.

ummm... well I got my Motorola V220 last birthday, and I found it got very boring very quickly. Not only its lack of a video camera or bluetooth, I found it scratched easily. It is fine for a phone for someone who just wants to make calls on it, but it is very old. Its ok... I suppose. Its a mediocre phone.

I bought this phone, as i was on a tight budget. I have dropped it many times and although the case falls off the phone (or screen has not broken). It has so far been a good phone, and even though the camera is poor quality i can still capture memories. I have the black one, but they are both small and very attractive.

I have this phone. If you are looking to purchase your first or second phone, this is a good choise. Although it doesnt have blue tooth or infa red, it is still a good phone. Its light, stylish and has some good features. Althoguh the camera isnt the best, it still produces ok photos. You can edit these photos on one of the java games. All in all, i think this is fab phone for people who are looking to buy their first mobile.

Ok I've had my V220 for over a year now and to be honest, I have no idea why I haven't bought a new phone. After about a month of it, I hated it. Why did I buy the phone? :it was cheap, pink, cute and seemed to have pretty good features. Pity I've had to have it replaced before. The first one's faults: MMS didn't work, it froze and rebooted itself. The one I have currently freezes sometimes and reboots as well. If you've had yours for less then 2 months, don't even rate it unless yours has had problems. Everyone who's had it a week and thinks is fantastic doesn't know what'll happen.

This is a good,robust, solid phone. Reliable and easy to use. I liked the calendar with its reminders. The key pad was easy to text with. The camera is not good quality but ok for bit of fun. Hungry Fish game is good. I have had the phone for nearly two years.

After using the phone for two years, I can honestly say this has not been a bad little handset, But it does have limited functionality. The biggest problem I had, was that after about 6 months, there were problems with the settings. If you wanted to change your personal look and feel, the screen would go blank and the phone would go back to the main screen. The video playback was OK, but I couldn't receive videos, record any or download them from the internet either. So that function is pretty pointless. The picture quality was OK, but you have to download the images onto your PC to be able to see them properly, and the memory fills up in no time. You can transfer a 60 second snippet of music to use as a ringtone, but again, this hogs the memory if you have more than two song snippets. It has a fair browser that allows you to view webpages and save images. The voice record function is not very good, as you can hardly hear the recording on playback, even witH the vo lume up high. However, making calls and receiving texts has never been a problem. The calls are clear and I like the predictive text, Although this can take some getting used to if you are a Nokia user, as all the command keys are the other way around. Also, the Alarm, Datebook and Calculators work nicely. Its a great phone if you are on a budget but want some nice features, but I feel you can become frustrated at its limited functionality after a while, and want a better phone.

I've had my phone for a year or so and it is generally fine but recently I found the alarm setting won't work any more and then I discovered that I can't get into the "personalise" menu any more; it just seems to "freeze" and the only way to unfreeze it is to remove the battery, but then you're back at square one again and can't get into "personalise". has anyone else had this problem and, if so, how did you solve it? Mine's out of guarantee so can't get it fixed without cost, and bearing in mind the price it's probably not worth it! Any ideas/advice welcome!

i had this phone, but unfortunately after a night out my screen got smashed. i must say this is a really good practical phone. the only downfall i thought was that there was no bluetooth other than that i had no problems with it. i just hope i love my new phone just as much, thats when i get the hang of it.

at first i had trouble with this phone... i couldnt get any drivers.. and didnt get a disk wid it.. but my sister bought a motorola v3 and the disk and cable that was bought with it was completly compatible with my v220... so all is well now :D

I've had this phone for a couple of years now, and it's not the best quality. The screen sometimes turns black for no reason (even when it's turned off!) and this stops the alarm from working. It also runs the battery out, which can cause it to beep at 3 in the morning. The camera recently broke and now it won't let me send text messages either, so I'm not altogether impressed. That said, it has been dropped on concrete numerous times and has the scratches to prove it, so it's not done too badly really. In fact I'm surprised it's lasted this long. The screen is pretty small and the pictures are bad quality, there isn't that much memory and like I said, it's prone to faults, but on the whole it's not a bad little phone. The screen has nice bright colours, it's very user-friendly and the little buttons on the side are good. A phone for someone who doesn't want anything too flash. Just the basics with a camera. I suppose it's served me fairly well over the years I've had it, but I think now it has finally broken to the extent that I can't actually use it, I shall have to say goodbye and get a new swish phone. I can't say I'll miss it that much.

This phone is very dispointing. I've had to have one replaced because it kept restarting itself, the MMS didn't work and it froze. My second one turns off sometimes and it freezes when I switch it off. The camera is pretty poor too. This phone is good for someone who doesn't want a camera and doesn't use their mobile a lot, I'm not one of those people.

i have owned the v220 for a year. its totally reliable. its done everything its supposed to. the battery seems to last forever! im planning on upgrading though because the v220 doesnt do much in comparison to other phones on the market. the camera is awful, and its a hassel not having either bluetooth or infrared. its not a bad phone though!

I love my motorola v220 it is the 2nd phone i havent had any problems with it. everyone who sez it is rubbish it isnt they are just pathetic losers with FAULTY phones. it has a mp3 player, a camera with video capture but NO BLUETOOTH. if you are on a tight buget i reccomend the motorola v220 it is great!!!!!!!

I like the phone!! Ive dropped it god knows how many times down so many stair cases but its still in tact!! I've had it for just over a year now and its still in good use, I recommend Motorola, and the next phone I buy will probably be the Motorola L6. The V220 is quite basic, but who needs flash?

Simple to use phone, I really like the menu layout and simple text system. Good phone if you're on a tight budget, however if you prefer more upmarket phones I suggest that you get either Samsung D600 or Sony Ericsson W850i. The camera is advertised to be a lot better than it actually it with 4x zoom and VGA camera. When i bought this phone, it said it had and MP3 player, but it only has MP3 ringtones which I was un-impressed with. On the whole, this is a good, cheap and simple to use phone that I would suggest to anyone on a tighter budget.

I've had this phone for nearly 2 years now. At first I thought is was really good as I had previously had a Nokia 3510i. After a while I realised it wasn't all that great. The picture quality is bad and it doesn't really do much. It also started to crash and black out after about 6 months. I wouldn't recommend it!

Having had this phone since may '06 I can't wait to get rid of it! The camera is poor and doesn't always work. Another problem is that the screen goes black and I have heard numerous people having the same problem! It doesn't always ring EVEN if the volume is on the loudest possible and a friend has exactly the same problem with hers! AND another thing is that the phone is always reseting the ring tone to the terrible 'hello moto' one (My dads V3 has the same problem) All in all I found it to be very poor indeed, the only saving grace being that I was on a cheap network so it didn't cost the earth! After only owning the phone for 5 months, I look forward to getting a new one! My advice would be, if like me you have a budget of around �50, wait till after xmas and see whats on offer in the shops. BUT AVOID THIS! I plan to buy a sony erricson K310i soon.

i hav had this phone 4 a while and i hate it, the camera dosent even work, the games dont work, i nerli got into loads of trouble wiv my dad cos he couldnt get hold of me when i had just put my fone on loud! i got home and found 6 missed calls, so we put the phone back on loud, and he tried ringin it agen.. it rang silent! this fone has a mind of its own! it turns itself off even when it has a full battery! all i did was shut it the other day and it turned itself off! i wouldnt reccomend this, unless u want 2 go through wiv the hassle of taking it back!!!

A very sweet little phone if, like me, you tend to think of your appliances in a personified manner and feel bad about slating them! Visually, very cute but the software really stinks. My first model (purchased in January 2005) had to be replaced after the first 3 months that i'd had it. My second model worked fine, regardless of the pants camera and tiny memory. Unfortunately none of my MP3 files were recognised and I was unable to tranfer music onto my phone, no matter how many times i chopped the files around etc. This irked me but I soldiered on. The screen also began to blank out occasionally and the phone would restart itself. Annoying, if you want to make an important call quickly! And to add to the blunders, a few months ago the camera just up and left me. Really, no joke! It just plain stopped working, the application wouldn't even open! Though yesterday, little moto and I had a breakthrough, and my beloved camera came back to me *fingers crossed*. Let's hope it stays!

Please listen, i would really like to warn all people because this is the worst phone i have ever had. The phone constantly changes it's ringtone, confusing the user, and when you put it on silent it changes to loud after about ten minutes, so in the middle of a class or meeting your phone rings full volume, or if you oput it on loud it often changes to silent, and you do not know someone has called you. It's battery is also very poor, and sometimes the phone will not charge at all, in any plud anywhere. The phone also sometimes does not ring at all, even when you are on loud! It just will not ring, and about twenty minutes later it says that you have missed a call. Sometimes it also does not turn on or off and resets certain settings. I thought i had just got a faulty model, however I checked with many other people who have this phone and they indeed have the same problem. At first the phone is brilliant, but after about 3 or 4 monthes it just gets worse and worse. I now cannot even use the phone and would like to warn others.

i really HATE this phone, do NOT buy it! the camera is really bad! it doesn't do very much the battery is terrible and often the phone will not charge, and you keep trying but it just says unable to charge. it also changes settings, ringstyles, ring volume, and ringtones on it's own which is a pain and sometimes it does not ring at all. it scratches very easillly as well. this is a terrible phone, and many other people who have this phone have the same and/or similar problems.

I've had to take this phone back numerous times, I'm on my second V220 after it being replaced, but still lots of faults (less than 24hour battery life on stand-by, camera not working, software crashing). I wouldn't recommend this phone, but then again, all my friends have this phone too and theirs seem fine. I guess I'm just unlucky :(

This is a good entry-level phone which does have a lot of features, including a diary which can be co-ordinated with Outlook. I do, though, object to having to pay �20 for the connection software, which ought to be supplied as part of the package. The camera is not fantastic -it is, as someone has said, VGA- and the screen does become unuseable in sunshine or even just bright outside daylight. But I bought a phone, not a camera: I would still have bought it even if it had had no camera at all. It is certainly a good-looker, with a nice, chunky feel in the hand. There is a decent selection of basic ring-tones, including vibrate, and the hands-free speaker phone can be very useful. The various screens can be personalised to a good extent. For �50, it is extremely good value for money.

I think the v220 is a very good starter phone but once you have had it for a while it gets very boring and i think it is good for someone just staing using mobile phones.

I have just taken over this phone from my wife who has had a free annual upgrade.I do not understand other reviews of this phone here & elsewhere.You buy a mobile phone then complain about camera & picture quality.Go buy a camera if you want a good quality camera.For the price its packed full of useful features not found on other phones.

The Motorola V220 is in its own right a great entry level to camera phones and with very easy to use menu's make's it very easy and quick to use! Until it breaks down (Under 1 Year Guarantee!!!) Yes my V220 decides to shut down after I try use it! without using it the thing will stay on perfectly When I sent it for repair to Motorola Service Centre, I was told it got wet That was the biggest pile of junk I heard and how I havent yet taken them for slander I will never know! LISTEN HERE MOTAROLA, You have now lost T-Mobile 2 customers! I now have a NEC338 on the 3 network AND I AM ALOUD TO GET IT WET!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT being a regular delivery driver delivering to mobile phone shops why have I noticed when customers come to pick up MOTOROLA PHONES the customers are alway told "It cant be fixed it got wet" WELL MOTOROLA - Hearing these excusses I can 10000% say the my V220 NEVER EVER GOT WET! your little picture showing the red spot must be 1 JPG you lot use on everyone! IS THIS A PLOY TO MAKE US BUY ANOTHER??? Prob but it didnt wash for me I went to another retailer and bought another phone on another network and to think I had been loyal to T MOBILE for 10 Years! now thanks to MOTOROLA I'm not anymore My verdict V220 100/100 - MOTOROLA GUARANTEE 0/100 TAKE IT TO TRADING STANDARDS INSTEAD!

Had this phone for about 9 months now, it's a lovely phone apart from the coverage, the reception is very poor quality, always losing signal, even if I move an inch while speaking to them!. Now having problems hearing them even if reception is good, sounds as though people are whispering. Now looking for another phone, which is a shame, as apart form that the phone is small sleek stylish and easy to use.

This is a budget 'phone: for about �50, what else could it be? So it cannot be expected to be packed with up-to-date features. So don't buy it for a school pupil, who will want to show it off to friends: but, then, that goes for any budget 'phone, not just the V220. Buying it for yourself? Then don't gripe about features which you really should have seen before buying. The screen might be slightly smaller than on some other handsets -but why didn't you see that before you bought? The camera does have low resolution -but didn't you read the description, immediately next to the lens, of it as being VGA? That's not megapixel standard. You get what you pay for. If it had been priced at �150 then the V220 would have been very poor value; but it isn't priced at �150: For �50, it is very good value indeed. In reality, it might be better for you to think of it as costing �70 rather than �50: the extra �20, or thereabouts, is what you will need to buy the software (and USB cable) needed to co-ordinate with your computer, for example to download 'photos. What really lets this 'phone down is the manual: too often, it does not go into sufficient detail where it really ought to. If you are the sort of person who follows manuals, and are not used to just pressing buttons to see what happens, then don't buy this 'phone for yourself. But, on the other hand, show me any piece of electronics where the manual is perfect. If all you want is a 'phone which happens to have a camera for emergency use, and you are perfectly happy with the idea of playing with it for a couple of hours to find out what does what, then give the V220 very serious consideration. It actually does have a lot of features; it's just that they're not always the most up-to-date ones.

i was so exicited to get this phone , but when i got it , i found out that its such a let down ! i brought cause its slick and has a camara well, the camra sucks and its dead heavy i think this mobile is a rubbish buy , and if i had a choice i would go back to my old phone that does'nt have a camra , at least the screen would be read able outside or in!!!!!! don't go near this mobile!!!!!!

Well am an old git who only uses phones to ring people up and text them. This one works ok for me, ta. Tried to take a picture once but couldn't see the screen even with my glasses on, so i don't knwo what i took a picture of cos i haven't got the software to download it on to the computer. And you're right about the way it changes from loud to silent by itself when it's in your pocket. Am arguing myself out of it here - but i like it well enough for what i paid - which was only �20 with the virgin voucher offer.

wen this fone first cam out it was gr8! like 1 of the best around but now there are lots of fones wid better camera,memory, mp3 tones and are much better in general. i wuld only go for this fone if u need for emergencys or wat not lol.

Its not me that has it but my cousin does and ive checked it out. My cousin doesnt want the more advanced features so this was the best one to buy. Every time someone wants to take a picture with it they have to move the phone forwards or backwards to get the zoom.

Had the phone for around 2 months now. The internal LCD display is smashed - and this is NOT due to any drops/falls/water damage - it's basically a VERY cheap component and will stand-up to ANYTHING - I suspect the internal screen smashed when I closed the phone on normal operation.... To all those that are writing in saying this "fone" is "brill" and cannot speak correct english and instead use aol speak - they have certainly experienced no issues with this model as yet....But once this screen goes, the thing is useless. I also suspect that replacement under warranty will not stand up either as they can quite easily say this has been dropped (although there is ZERO damage on the outer casing).... Cheap phone, will last a short time - don't even bother buying this thing.

I have had this phone for 11 months-was quite happy with it til the camera stopped working about 3 months ago. Then I had a problem with the screen freezing intermittently, everything would go grey and none of the keys would work. It would eventually re boot itself and be okay. Now its packed in completely, the screen is totally grey and nothing works. Its currently back with motorolla being repaired. My mum also has the same phone- shes had hers for about 9 months-and has just sent hers back as well with the same problem.

had this fone for a year now, its da 2nd 1 of it.on da 1st da camera jus stopped workin i didnt drop it,kick it, bang it..nothin.da camera jus stopped workin.BUT da 2nd 1 of it i got, i had no problem with it, maybe da 1st was jus an unlucky 1...all da other stuff on it is good..wen da camera actually works it does take very good pics and lets you zoom in 3 times.da ringtones are COOL..loads 2 choose from.da game-HUNGRY FISH is class 2.SUM ppl say da fone is big and bulky..its NOT!dis mob lets you set ur foto as a wallpaper(i kno most fones do)but it luks real good!it is a really reliable fone, lets u dial numbers quickly, u can type a text quickly..as i sed da onli problem was my camera broke in da 1st 1 but i musta been 1 of da unlucky 1's.!!GET DIS FONE..I STILL HAVE IT AND DIS 1 HASNT LET ME DOWN!X

This is a good phone despite what people have said; I've had it nearly 2 weeks, and although the screen could be a little bigger, and the battery doesnt seem to last as long as it says, it is a really good phone for the price I paid - �55. The camera is fine for a phone and i think its pretty good quality. The layout of the menus etc is a little confusing but once u get used to it its fine. I didn't require bluetooth or anything like that so for people who want a good, cheap phone and are not really intereseted in having all the latest technology this is a good phone for u. It can even watch videos, but can't make them...I think lol - I'm still in the process of working through its functions. But yeah its a good phone.

But i agree the camera quality isnt the greatest and you cant take video recordings even know they state that you can. so if your going to buy this phone..........go for it!

Listen. This phone gives me headaches. I can't set my answering machine because it won't allow me to. The person who sold it to me told me it was the best camera is amazing, WRONG! The pictures were fuzzy at best. I am totally getting an upgrade to this peace of ^*$(. Peace out.

a very poor phone, would not recomend anyone buying it , they are very faulty , my camera has broke after 8 months of having it , my mate who also has the same phone kept freezing after her camera had broke. To some up the bad points: Poor quality camera to begin with. Poor memory space. Poor screen quality. Very small screen . Looks cheap. No bluetooth or special features. When i bought the phone i paid just over 100 for it , a complete waste of money there are definately better phones around.

I got the V220 last year and am glad to be gting red of it in a few weeks! It is ok but the phone book memory is poor and the camera is useless wen u take a pic it is just a blur, also it's hard to text as sometimes the buttons wont work and it deletes the message by its self and even wen u have your fone turned off it goes off sometimes and overall it as a crapy fone in my opinion and i have seen much more better ones. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!

I cant stand the Motorola V220, it is not worth the money. It hardly has any features. No Infra-Red, No Blue Tooth, A Rubbish Camera and you have to buy a USB Cable with a CD for #19.99 if you wanted to put your Pictures on the computer or to add MP3 Ringtones (You can do this on the phone internet). In my opinion, a rubbish phone!

Where do i begin? Had this phone about a month now and im amazed ive managed to put up with it that long, the outer cover scrathces far too easily, the camera is awful-a fuzzy mess is probably the best way of describing it. The phone cuts off in the middle of phone calls and whilst sending texts. The icons on the screen p me off as you cant see your wallpaper properly. Its just very, very poor. Anyone reading this-DONT BUY!!!!

The offer with orange at 3p at text for 6 months was great,but now its lacking in phsilities as the new phones are coming out with the great gadgets on them. This phone is great!! Have had it for ages now - no problems! Got some covers for it (red)!! Want a black cover - lol!!! Motorola is a good make and Motorola v220 is goood! Camera - s'ok, you could get a other motorola phone that has a better camera but this one is ok!!! Found out how to do things really quickly (didn't need the instructions!!!!) but the settings to change the message tone is a lil hard but once you know how to do it you can do it!!!!!! Good Phone!!!

This phone caused me alot of trouble, i spent most of money on it, and after a few months, the camera started to play up. even when it did work, i found myself having to delete photos as there was not enough space on the memory for all my photos. Now 4 months into having it, the camera totally packed up and doesn't work at all. It doesn't let me into my personal setting either... this phone has mood swings, which become very annoying, don't buy this fone...

Bought motorola v220 from ASDA, had it a month, it started going faulty switching itself on and off while charging, contacted motorola itself, sent the mobile phone back to them by registered post which cost me #4.25, had it back off them, still in the same faulty condition, contacted them again they told me they would send me a registered bag so that I could return it back to them on the 5th August, by the 10th August I had received nothing, contacted them again by telephone they said they would send another one out. It's now a few days later still had not received a single thing from motorola. I've also emailed them on various occassions, they've never made no effort at all in getting back to me. Has anyone else had the same problem??

I dont know what other people say they probably dont even have the phone well i have this phone and it is brill it has quick messaging and a good easy to use wap powered internet you can even use google on it if you know how to use it it camera is quick to take photos the only downside is that it does not video but how needs video it takes up to much space It great a cool buy and worth the money Sam Holton

Well, all the previous reviews say it's only really good as a first camera phone for teens, Alow me to extend that to a good first camera phone for mid-20's too. I only want or need a basic phone and this does all i need, and i got it as a free handset upgrade from virgin mobile. It is the best phone i have had to date, although that's not saying much. But all my functions work, it fits in my pocket, and shouldd the need arise i can take pics, all be it kinda grainy ones. All in all i have no complaints and am quite satisfied, but it's only been a week so lets see how it goes. =)

This phone was brilliant for the first couple of months that it...BUT then the camera broke for no reaosn. It just stopped working and no one could fix it. Then, at least three/four times a day the screen would suddenly freeze, go black and then restart itself and take ages to make it useable. Brilliant phone though if you only have your phone for a couple of months before buying a new one!! (as many people seem to do!)

the motorola v220 is a good phone for my needs but i will list a few bad points here: 1. The camera is quite poor quality 2. My phone switches itself off quite alot which is very annoying especially when you are halfway through a text and looking at the reviews this has been happening to other people too. i got the phone at christmas and it cost over #100 and since then two of my friends got it for a little over #50 and i asked myself is this good value? the answer of course was no. the phone is ideal for a young teenager who has never had a camera phone before, but otherwise don't buy the v220 unless you won't be using the camera and don't mind the phone switching itself off all the time.

i had this phone for about a year but it is nothing special. the camera wasnt great, it cut the pictures to half there size before you sent them and they weren't exactly huge in the first place on the tiny little screen the v220 has.also you couldn't store very many because there were so many pre loaded animations you couldn't delete. eventually the camera wouldn't even load up or work. However i spose if u want a good camera you buy one.it looks good though..a fashionable cute little phone and i liked the idea of photo id calling the games are cool too.however i would be half way through sending a text or makin a call and both screens would go blank then the light would turn on and the buttons wouldnt work.you would have to wait a couple of minutes til it worked again.Overall i think it is a good starter phone but DO NOT buy if your really in2 phones or as a business phone.

My brother has this phone, the camera is very very blurred, DO NOT buy this phone if you want at least a half decent camera, the screen is also blurred. The MP3 ringtunes sound good though. This phone is probably best for a child's/teenagers first camera phone. As it has all the gadgets a child/young teenager requires and the phone looks good but all at a very very low quality - hence the price!

After ONE WEEK.. the outside display cracked from a mere bump, the camera is a horror, the AIM feature doesnt work, Voicemail NEVER WORKED no matter how many times i call and have it put back up... this phone is a money pit. I'm paying for features that dont work. If you buy this phone, beware. THAT is MY review of the worst phone on the market.

I think this phone is brilliant. I bought it to replace my Nokia 3310 and I absolutely love all the features. I have been using the camera and can find nothing wrong with it. Don't know what all the fuss is about, I think it's a great little phone for the price. I text all the time and have not had any problems. Some of the comments on this site and others did put me off purchasing the phone, however, now that I have used it for myself, I would recommend it.

This phone is the NUTS! Pay as you go! Handset is cheap#60ish, It looks lush, in black even more so! Camera is cool but if you want a decent camera get a digital camera not a phone! MP3 Player and tones!! quality or what!!! Picture messaging!! Compact size, looks more expensive than it really is! Internet!Java games Great functions! USB compatiable so that it can work hand in hand with your P.C. Has no bluetooth though or video recording. Would reccomend this phone for people who want style and functions on a budget!! My last phone was a siemens sl55 like this one a lot more!

I had this phone for a couple of months, neat little flip phone. A few good ringtones on it. Held alot of text messages which I thought useful. Camera was of very poor quality. Although I wouldnt rush out & buy another I wouldnt advise against this phone. Great little number for your basic needs, simple to use, ideal for a youngster to use as a first phone..

My fiancee brought me this phone for my birthday in March 05. Phone has been ok - though not brilliant. I now have a crack in the screen and cannot see anything on it. I have not dropped the phone, smashed it against something, knocked it or sat on it as has been implied by The carphone Warehouse where it purchased.At 8.30 one morning it was fine, at 10.00 same morning (hour and half later it was busted). How - when it was in my pocket. The Carphone warehouse refuse to replace it - screen is not under guarantee, and there attitudes stink. My opinion: Phone is rubbish for the money we paid and service from the supplier and manufacturer is unprintable. Don't buy this phone, it's a complete waste of money.

I got the v220 from virgin mobile as a replacement for my Nokia 1100 which exploded and I have to say the phone is dreadful. The display freezes up, The camera is rubbish(I took a picture in sunlight recently and the picture came out looking like I had been indoors), the menu layout is bad and on my phone I can't get access to the WAP services, the dial-up telling me that no connection is available. In total I think it's a very shiny, non-satisfying phone. Thanks Virgin Mobile & Motorola. You have put me off mobile phones for life.

I love this phnoe, I've had it for like 4 months and i love it. I am never off my phone, texting, gaming, calling, taking photos, I've always been inseprable from my phone, and this is just great, its small, but not too small, so I can always find it, and its so much better than the motoroala t720i and the nokia 3410 which i had before, so ignore all of the bad things. It have massive storage, and if you have loads of contacts on your phonebook but take no pictures, you can use your picture storage for the numbers stored on your phone. Yeah sure it freezes a bit, but I've had it for like 4 months and it's only done it twice, i think it was because i was trying to get it to do too much too quickly, but thats me, not the phone!! I love this phone.

To start with this will be my 4th phone in one week, I was really pleased with it when I opened the box it looked fantastic then I switched it on.all the phone's I have had do the same thing just keep crashing every time I save a number to the phone and not the sim all I can say is that virgin have been brilliant this is who I brought it from it is really starting to loose it's appeal saying all this my husband had the same phone at the same time and his is fine.

I've had this phone since christmas, several of my friends also have it. My sister received this phone at the same time as I received mine. After several months the cameras do not work. The cameras of all the people I know who have this phone have now broken. However, there are several good features about it; good games, messaging etc. The camera quality is awful, and no extra videos can be added to the phone. Also, it is very hard to find covers for the phone or compatiable ringtones, wallpapers etc. Overall this phone is very poor if you want a decent camera phone. I would advise you NOT TO BUY IT and to spend slightly more for a phone you will be satisfied with. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF MONEY AND DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE

Three things: 1/. It might as well not have a camera as it is next to useless, dark, over-saturated images. 2/. I cant turn off the dropped/regained signal sound even in silent mode. 3/. Despite having a usb data-port there is no info on where to get the drivers/associated software for transfering files on/off the phone. 4/. well i got this phone for my birthday and liked it at first. Then, after about 2 months, some aspects of the phone went faulty. For example, every now and then both displays would freeze up, leaving blank screens but still illuminated. Now, after almost 4 months of having it, the camera does no longer work at all, and sometimes it will just turn off suddenly (even though it is on full battery.) On the good side of things, the phone is very small and easy to use, and it has some good games, etc. so an OK phone if the budget is tight, but overall I am not particularly impressesd with this mobile phone

This Phone is RUBBISH. The camera is about as good quality as the first camera ever made,i couldnt have found a worse phone. Also it has soooooo many faults. 1.If you are texting it freezes up. 2.When you first turn the phone on it says 'Log in' to the IM feature when the IM(instant messanger) isnt even there! I emailed Virgin they said that this feature doesnt work! whats the point in it being there then!! 3.The battery life is apauling about a day if you use it alot. Completely hopeless if you are using this phone for more than the odd text emergancy phone call. TIP - DONT BUY THIS PHONE.IT SUCKS.

This phone is O.K Good Features Reasonable price for no. of features, and nice silver design but hardly enough memory (1.8MB) and you cant delete embedded ringtones, pictures, etc and half of them are total junk!!! (waste of memeory) When you scroll down reading messages it keeps freezing for few minites. Texting takes ages to write down. The Battery life dosen't seem as long as 9 days max. I charged it full and in just 4 days later 'ALERT LOW BATTERY' My Advise. Get the Moto V620 Way better!!!

I'd rather have two tin cups attached by string than this phone. It's rubbish, constantly crashes, camera stopped working, I can't talk to people without putting them on speaker phone, do not buy this phone, Motorola really blew it this time.

I got this fone d motorola v22o a few months ago n it's reeeely let me down d camera quality is totally rubbish, its dark n fuzzy.ifur planning 2 use this for o2 wap or gprs then FORGET IT I go d settings for gprs wap i had been using d chat service for a few months when 1day I couldn't connect and started 2 get errors, it wasn't only this fone it was all fones. But they got fixed n this didn't because it's got poor signal, also it breaks easily, gets scratched easily it hasn't even got a long voice recorder. I think d company were benv titewhn dy made this fone u can't even store many pics, It's got bad memory, d only gud ting bout it is the size, colour n d games on this fone dyr gr8 lol.

It is good for a phone, but don't expect anything more. There are no picture drivers available online for the phone, Motorola has no information on how to download images into your PC if you want to. Very frustrating. I am going to throw this one out as soon as I find a better replacement.

Got this phone yesterdy and it's amazing! It's really cute, compact and looks great. More importantly, it works well. I don't know what everyone's saying about the camera not working, the pictures come out fine and if they want proper quality then they shouldn't have bought such a cheap phone! I love it, it's great, and really good value for money!

i have has the v220 for 6 months and its in pieces already! its not a very hardwearing phone and breakes easily. the camera is so bad i dont even bother to use it, the pictures are all blury and dark and fuzzy. the screen is very small and is bad quality. even the slightest drop will break the camera and scratch the front easily. my opinion of this phone is very poor, i dont see why the camera is so bad on this phone wen the other motorola camera phones, cameras are really good. on the other hand the phone has got a few good features but the other bad ones over rule the good points unfortunatly. i would give this phone a 5/10

Ok i got this phone today .... its cool .. the camera is great ..... still can;t work out how to change the ringtone ..... but hey .... its light .. def a girls phone .. and the best thing is i paid a #10 .... baragin !!

Utter junk! I had this phone for less than a year and iv decided to give up on it after reading other peoples reviews on the phone. i did think about having it replaced seeing as it is still in guarentee but i wont bother. -the phone constantly crashes -closing the phone crashes it -the camera decided not to work a few times. id click to use it and then it would just go back to the main screen. -battery says it is full but quickly runs out within a few hours - crashed while i was talking on the phone other things too but cant really think of them at the moment. the list is endless! I LOVED this phone when i first got it. And still do if it would work properly. Im very disapointed with it. My advice dont bother with this phone.

I got this phone a month ago and guess what, after 4 hours the phone packed up! I got it changed the day after, now it's working fine, so far... my mother in law has got the same phone. After just a couple of weeks her phone stopped working properly. The phone itself is small and pretty ; the camera is rubbish but at the end of the day u get what u pay 4. I would not personally recommend it ; does not look like it's gonna last a very long time!

got three of the v220 at christmas and have had problems ever since with recieption and battery life. we have returned two for warranty exchanges and the battery life still sucks 1 to 2 days standby at most. best you find a better phone unless u want to stay hooked to the charger all of the time.

A great camera phone for the money. Lets not forget this is the best value phone + camera around - that I could find anyway. It does what it says on the tin! Ok so not the biggest screen in the world, but good enough & small & sleek to boot.

This is a very good phone but i did have to send mine off to get the battery replaced after 4 months but got it back within 5 days. Pictures can be sent from the phone to an email address without the USB cable, still havent found a use for a USB. Did spend #5 for a ringtone that i never got but that could be down to the ringtone company not the phone. Overall its worth getting.

im getting this fone nxt week and was wondering y there is so many different responses 2 how the camera works my m8s got 1 and its gr8 so dont listen 2 tht bull every1s been saying. The fone is small,compact,great,mp3 wat more could u want oh and its a flip fone which is better and good price #60 at virgin mobile so buy it now. Great phone, stylish and functional. It's a jack of trades & master of none. Some people complain about its lack of features. That said, it has everthing that I need, plenty features to keep me entertained. Also, I've notice that if you press the numbers in a sequence you can even speak to people. What a marvel of modern technology!!

i just recently got this phone and im aware that you can download ringtones but what is the usb for? its the same connector as my mini-disk will i be able to connect it to my pc like i do with a mini-disk? good phone though, recommend it to anyone.

I got my phone as a free upgrade. I think it has excellent games and a good camera although sometimes the pictures dont come up as good as they should do. it Comes with cool ringing tones and you are also able to download them. The battery last for a good amount of time. I recomend this phone to ANYONE out there.

The best things bout the V220 are the external display which shows the time, battery life and signal strength, the ringtones which can be downloaded from the net, and the battery life. Battery lasts much longer than the V600 which is over-priced and over-rated IMHO.

This is a good phone, although it can't match the features of the more upscale Motorolas like the V600. Lacking bluetooth, and the screen quality isn't as good as the v600, especially noticeable in bright sunlight. Still, the camera is very good, although the display doesn't do full justice to the quality of the pictures, so you'll need to transfer them to your computer (via USB) to see them at their best. It's a nice compact design, ergonomically pleasing and with good battery life. It has great polyphonic ringtones, that are downloadable, but a little too quiet for my liking. Overall it's a good phone for ya money!

I got my Moto on Virgin too and it's a very good phone. It's reliable and very easy to use and looks fabulous. Camera with zoom is good and it has great games and downloadable MP3 ringtones. What more can I say?
