KRZR is an awful phone. Mine has been very unreliable. Intially, it constantly switched from ring to vibrate mode and then didnt ring at all. Motorola updated some software while it was still under warranty but when returned it didnt ring at all. However,when the phone stopped turning on however, my patience ran out and i returned it to the store. Now 3 mos past 1 year warranty and the supplier refuses to take it back. My suggestion, dont buy it! I give it one star for good looks, zero additional stars for operation.

Dissapointed - end of! I have had this phone nearly 2 and half years. Was great the first year, but then things started to get anoying. First, the outer reflective case cracked, and so did my friends moto, it is a common problem. It is flimsy, and the phone slows down every often. Now it doesn't even recieve any reception, even in high signal areas, it just falls apart. Will I ever buy a motoroal again? No.

This phone is complete junk. the screen goes white after awhile of use. you can still recieve and make calls but the screen is white. i would suggest getting any phone except the krzr k1.

Fantastic phone, great battery, great camera and i love the fact that meddage and ringtones acan be your music, and brilliant messaging. My screen is still near mint condition after two years of ownership, Pretty much water proof (pretty bad at looking after it) but nevertheless the phones price doesnt reflect its quality would love to buy another couple.

I loved this phone when I got it 18 months ago, but it is apparent that it is a general fault that it will NOT charge after a while !! I had this happen again when I purchased the same model thinking it was the battery. The phone shop wanted �25 for a repair, so it was cheaper to buy another, which I did (2nd hand), thats when I realized that one wouldnt charge either. Think I'll get a Nokia.

this phone was amazing for the first 2 years i had it, the screen never cracked, it only got scratched because i dropped it, but then the wallpaper would revert to a blank screen constantly and i would have to change it back, keys are unresponsive sometimes, cameras good though, but then all of a sudden the screen would turn black or white and i couldnt do anything about it, i had to turn it off and back on, now it always has a black or white screen, its useless, i dont recommend this phone, its honestly terrible, oh and the battery life is poor.

I have to say that I have to disagree with you all. I have never had a problem with my K1 and I bought it on contract in Jan 2007 and am loathed to change it as I can't find anything as slim and lovely looking.

I thought this would be a great phone, but I was wrong! The screen has cracked and I can't even remember dropping it. Another little quirk is that it doesn't receive text messages reliably. It is nothing to do with network coverage as another phone is on the same network and messages come through immediately. It has been known to have a 4 hour delay before a message gets through! Not a good choice of phone and I would never get one again.

I have had (3) motokrzr all were the worst phones in the world, i was given this By asurion Insurance also dont get this insurance if U get a phone , they do not stand behind the customer and will replace your phone with junk, This company has absolutelym the worse costomer service , please read this and take heed. By to the cell the first one, can from Asurion would even turn on, charge me $85. for replace, then send me another that would work, a week later, then finally send me another, here it is 4 months later , this phone is not working and Asurion another $55. for a replacement phone when this suppose to be under warranty.

I bought mine in November of '08 and about 3 weeks ago, the CALLING stopped working, i try to call somoene and i cant hear a thing, and it's turned up all the way. the other day i had to put my friend on speaker phone walking down town. i SHOULDNT have to do that. other than that its great. but i was disappointed.

Pros: sleek style, small, good sound Cons: The screen breaks easily, it sometimes doesnt send messages, paint chips off, not alot of memory, some buttons dont work, and it freezes up Overall this phone needs to be rebiult. Thank goodness i only have this phone for only 2 more monthss

I've had this phone for nearly 14 months now. At first the battery life is a bit rubbish but i have found if you leave it on for a couple of hours longer than you should then it starts to go to it's full capacity. The camera is quite good but maybe a bit better. Bought one with no activated photo editing software but couldnt give a stuff cause i edit it on the computer. The glass screen chips well easy but go on the internet and buy a cover for it!! It does a lot of functions and has brilliant sound! I'd buy it again but i wanna try samsung. I'd reccomend it for someone who doesn't lose sleep over a stupid hairline crack!!!!!!!!! x

You can think you're getting a good deal and that this phone isn't a disappointment if you want to if you've had it for a month. I had mine for a little over a year (not a long time in terms of phones) when the speaker that allows you to hear the person you're talking to went out. Granted, I could talk using speaker phone, but who wants to be that idiot walking around yelling on the phone letting the whole world hear their conversation. So, I sent my phone in and they send me a refurbished phone which is basically a KRZR with the fingerprints wiped off and a piece of plastic on the front so you think it's something worth while. I haven't had that thing a month and the internal screen broke (meaning half of it is white the other half snow, no liquid leaking or anything because I didn't drop it) after being in my pocket for maybe 2 hours. Don't buy this phone.

I love this phone and refused a better one in order to keep it. The keypad is not small compared to other phones and it's nice and flat so my finger nails don't slip when I'm texting. The picture quality is good and it's just an all round good phone. I for one have never scratched or smashed it and it was my mum's before mine! Best phone I've ever owned!!

I have to say this phone is junk. I have had mine for a year and a half now and it has stopped working correctly. The camera doesn't work anymore. The display screen freezes a lot and you have to take the battery off to get it to work again. The screen scratches very easily. I can no longer get phone calls on my phone because I cant hear anything out of the ear piece. I say this phone is not worth the money. I have not mistreated my phone at all and this all has been happening to it. Oh yeah also the buttons get scratched from us as well. I DO NOT recommend this phone to anyone. Here I am with a 3 year contract on my phone and I don't have a phone that works. They all say well it's past a year so there is nothing that anyone can do about it. I guess it's normal for their products to become shit after a year of us. I say stay away from this phone if you are intending to really use a phone for the purpose of it being a phone as it will fail you.

I bought this phone in the year 2008 nov by the new yaer it started giving the problem related to memory card and not reading any card.I gave the phone to service centre & got it repaired and now from today it started giving the same problem !Any one has an idea for this problem ?

I have had my KRZR cell for 15 months and I love it! The only negatives I have found are 1)finger prints show extremely well on the exterior of the phone, and 2) it did not work well after I accidentally washed it with my clothes (surprise, surprise). My KRZR never got a scratch, ding, or crack in my fifteen months of use - even after its trip through the washing machine. Unfortunately, the laundry damaged its ability to pick up my voice very well (I am told it sounds like I am very far away), so I will have to replace it. :(

my krzr has given me nothing but problems. The fisrt month I had it, they had to replace the battery because it wasnt holding its charge. It was ok for a while but now i can barely make one phone call before it beeps low battery. I called the company but because I had it over a year they wouldnt do anything for me. Maybe mine's just a lemon?

I have had this phone for about a year now. the battery life sucks. i have to charge in the morning,and by about 9 at night, it is beeping at me that the battery is going dead. although i did drop the phone, from about a two foot fall, the spring broke in the flip top and now is very hard to open. when it is opened, it doesnt open all the way. very frusterating. i would not buy this phone again until it was very cheap.

Phone not recomended! I bought my phone back in July of 08 enjoyed it for several months until it began to constantly freeze and the screen would go blank white. I would try to take pictures with the phone and it would freeze, I would try to record a video with it and the phone would either freeze or refuse to record. I sent in the phone under warenty and was sent another... 1 week later the phone is freezing on me and coming up with a blank screen. Im very dissapointed in the phone.. Now I will be sending in for a third phone.

Had this phone for a few days now and have found no problem with it at all . Looks great and compared to my old phone, LG chocolate, the text messaging is so much faster. As for the comments about hair line cracks, I can understand why as it is very delicate, but lets admit it, it looks good!! I have previously had motorla phones and so am used to them. As it stands at the moment, i think it is a great phone and hope to have it a long time.

love the phone does everything i need it to. had it about 18months and no cracked screen, and havent had a software issue although i use it mostly for phone calls n messages. have internet connected but isnt as good as some phones i have seen but is ok. over all every one i know get phones at a higher price end af the scale and this phone is preffered among us.

Well i have had this phone for 4 days, and so far it's going good. Last night noticed a tiny hairline scratch on the glass, hopefully it wont get worse. lol i rememberd readin sumwhere that constant flipping of the phone causes this. Weird THe speaker for playing music is not loud enough. Other than that, i enjoy wiping fingerprints of the screen, it makes it look really brand new. No problems with the usage (as yet>?) but i really like it. hopefully when i re-write a reviw in 3 months it will be good.

it was a pre-owned phone and used it about more than a year and had no problems until recently, it started to freeze on me with a white screen..i tried to take out the battery and reboot it, it work for a while and it would freeze again... now its getting worse where it freezes on screen and when u reboot it, it will stay on the same screen and the buttons will not function..

I had this phone for about a year and a half. It worked great, battery lasted long, camera was alright, music player was awesome since it didn't use ****ing itunes, and best of all, it didn't explode when you drop it, in fact it was pretty sturdy. Then all of a sudden, yesterday actually, the display just stopped working completely. Calls still work, but no display whatsoever. But it did last me a year and a half, and during that time I really liked it.

It's never let me down & the fact that I'm still using it must mean something as I usually change my phone within the first year.

This phone might look nice and the mirror effect is useful for a night out. However it soon becomes chipped and within months my phone had stopped working. I had to replace the charger 3 times and still the battery has a poor uptake. The phone often freezes and the screen goes white, meaning loss of current message and complete restart of the phone. It also cut out during calls and left me stranded. I would not advise anyone to get this phone it is unreliable!

Nice phone, stylish, breaks VERY easily and repairs cost over 120$ for the screen. The inner-screen goes blank very often and the phone is overall very frustrating to use :/ There are NO motives to add on for the it, and only 1 of the original ones look even remotely good. I have to admit the only CRACK I've had was my own fault but tons of scratches :/ Its the most complicated phone out there, and everyone I asked knows them as "The phones that nobody knows how to use" xD Steer clear!!!

Really the only good part about this phone is it looks good.Yea thats the ONLY good thing about the MotoKRZR. The applications are rubbish,Txt is way too slow,Memory only 20 megabites( there should be more considering how expensive it is...),Keypad is Small, phone lags very often and screen cracked...=( Cant connect to PC threw USB...dissapointing,keypad leaves marks on screen very easily so do fingerprints,Video recording time only 21 seconds...Playing music on the phone waists a lot of power,Cannot detect others when using bluetooth or be detected. Should have read the review before buying this piece of rubbish and to anyone who wants to buy this phone Dont! You will regret it!

It's a very nice and stylish phone. Yet, the screen cracks VERY EASILY. The first time I dropped it, (which was about a year after I bought it) the screen cracked. Then a few days later, my cat knocked it on the floor and the screen cracked even more! It looks terrible and I'm glad I have insurance on it. It also doesn't hold a charge very well, and neither does my brother's krzr. His krzr's screen is also cracked and my brother's phone freezes all the time and loses service. This phone looks good, but I think it's been a waste of money. Like I said before, I'm glad I have insurance.

Do NOT, i repeat NOT, buy this useless peice of junk. For starters the front of the phone shows finger marks easily which can get very anoying. It is very delicate and will break easily if dropped. Volume is rubbish. Bluetooth is VERY slow. Takes about 10 minutes sometimes to send songs. or if your lucky 5 minutes but feels like an age. The battery life is terrible. On the first day i had it i had to recharge it the same day. Camera is supposed to be 2 megapixel but is more like VGA. The phone does not come with computer cable which you have to buy yourself but it is extremly hard to get hold of. I had this phone under 5 months and then the phone would blackout and not work and you would have to take the battery out and put it back in again. The only good thing is its a nice design. If you dont want to get frustrated then DONOT buy this rubbish phone. Get something decent like the Sony ericsson W580i. The phone i brought after this one. It is much better. DONOT buy this phone.

Rubbish. Poor quality phone. Broke down six months into the contract. Took six weeks to repair and was returned with a half dead battery. Needs charging every 24 hours. The worst mobile phone Ive ever had.

Most unreliable phone ever! Phone works properly about half the time. The rest of the time it cuts off mid conversation, won't connect to the network(where there is full service), won't send texts, lights won't shut off when it's closed(killing the battery) etc... Also has the worst battery life I have ever seen and I'm on my second battery in just over a year. Do not get this phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this phone is terrible. i had it for two years and within the first year the speakers blew out. now i didnt use this phone for listening to music just reguar calls and the basics of a phone. then when i got a refurbished one, the battery life was EXTREMELY short and only lasted an hour. I am so happy i now am rid of the motoral days becuase i will never go back to having a motorola phone everrr there terrible phones. DONT GET IT!

I've just upgraded from this phone but checked the reviews to see what other people had thought about it and I'm pretty surprised - I had no bother with it over rhe 18 months of my contract, no scratches or cracks despite it being in my pocket for 12 hour shifts. Sad to see it go TBO, nice little phone.

This Phone sucks!!!!!! I got my fisrt krzr in december of 2007 for my upgrade! I chose it becuase I didnt want the razr! Everyone had a razr! I wanted to be diffrent and get something Cute,Small, and Cool! It has great feautures! I first dropped the phone by mistake in Jamuary of 08 and the screen cracked a litte! But it worked fine! But by the time June came around it started changing colors on me and the main screen would be turned upside down once the flip is open! Then one day I talked on the phone for about and hour or so and the phone was never the same again!It would freeze and start it self up continually! Till this day it still does it! Now I have a replacement phone,of course its another krzr! But i got it again because it was cheap and i had already had a case for it! Plus I really loved the phone before all that damage happened!With this replacement phone im noticing the same thing, but only when the battery dies. It seems to freeze and then flash. Hones tly THIS PHONE SUCKS DIRT! I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE!

I bought this phone about a year ago now and even though mine hasn't had cracks on the mirror glass (which is very stylish) but still this phone is awful. Its has a tendancy to freeze alot! when i turn it on its freezes and when i do a transaction it freezes! the amount of memory it has is appaling! The Mp3 is alright so is the camera except it would be MUCH better if it had a flash which would make the phone so much useful. The features are completely rubish! The bluetooth is competley and utterley rubbish aswell and also the wallpaper seems to ALWAYS dissapear. The only cons about this phone is the picture calling and the reflective glass with expandable memory. Since i dislike this phone so much i'm for christmas getting the LG Renoir! I Recommend you not to buy this phone at all!

good lord dont buy this thing. what a waste of time and money for this phone. i would definitely write Motorola about their product. it takes so long for this phone to bring up a screen after you hit the button. the battery life is bad when getting on the web and downloading things. my next phone will definitely be something other than motorola. if you think there is a problem with the phone, theres not; dont second guess yourself; it is just the sucky phone by Motokrzr k1m .

I've had the phone for about 2 yrs now. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!! The texting is horrible. The battery fails. I'm on my 2nd of of these phones in 2 yrs. They gave me a free phone and i had to spend $30 to get a new battery. The contacts didn't transfer right and you have to get software updated a lot. DON'T GET THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!!! thank god my 2 yrs are almost up!!!!

I have currently got a Motorola Krzr, and just tonight the screen died. It went completely white, and will not work. The phone freezes a lot too, and the keypad gets stuck at times. I would not recommend this phone, as it is only stylish on the outside.

GUTTED!!! Got this phone 5 weeks ago, features and look appeared fantastic, however... screen cracked despite never being dropped was just in my pocket! Now the inside screen keeps going white, the whole phone freezes, calls freeze while trying to connect and battery only lasts a couple of hours, even when not being used! Retailer and Motorola refuse to take responsibility and said it's due to impact damage - What impact???? Interesting as the retailer just told me it is now a discontinued line. Still won't pay for repairs or replacement for me despite only getting it 5 weeks ago!

I bought this phone about five weeks ago. Last week I took the phone out my pocket to answer a call everything was fine. Five minutes later I took it back out my pocket and noticed the LCD screen had died. Then the screen inside kept freezing, sometimes going white. Now the battery keeps dying. I took it back to Digital Island/Vodafone said it's caused by impact damage and therefore not covered under the warranty and it will cost me a fortune to fix! The phone has NEVER had impact damage!!! If they are going to get impact damage from being in your pocket they should sell them with a permenant padded case. I am SO cross!!! Apparently the model has now been "discontinued", out of goodwill they should replace my phone with another model!!

I've had my K1 for over a year (replacing a V3) and must have been lucky enough to get a 'good' one... no cracks, no problems. For the features I want a phone for (to make phone calls and send texts... and I happen to like the Motorola text method) it suits me fine and, of course, it looks great - though the rubberised rear has flaked a bit around the logo now, being as it lives, unprotected, in my pocket with keys, change et al. Apart from the great styling/looks the ups for me are MP3 ringtones, speakerphone, quadband, card memory and usefully good web browsing. Downs for me are voice dialling (I normally put numbers in the phone *and* on the SIM so it wants me to tell it which to use each time, even if identical - also it plays the word recognition game and won't let you override with 'abbreviated phrases'), not impressive camera (though like I said, it's not a big deal for me), big problems making it receive images, limited Bluetooth and horror stories if I want ed to sync with Outlook... so I don't try! Also the lack of cases in a style I like is a bit of a pain. Overall though, with a good one like mine, I am a fan!

Despite the other gripes on reliability and durability the main issue by far for me is the signal strength, I've had this as a short term replacement for my Nokia which is in for repair and the K1 very frequently has no signal. It has no signal in my office and other placed where the nokia did have full signal. I constantly get voicemail messages when the phone hasnt rung because NO SIGNAL! Why is this? des it have a smaller internal arial or something??

I do not like this phone at all. The screen has cracks in it. I still find it awkward to use, after using it for about 14months now (counting down til I can get something else). It gets fingerprint grubby so easily it's ridiculous, and that makes the screen hard to see. And the predictive text is so annoying, I have to write the text and then stop and wait whilst it catches up with what I've typed. Battery life is rubbish. I cannot find one thing to praise about this phone. Absolute pile of pants. I'm not the sort of person to worry about phones too much usually but this phone seriously annoys me.

okay, i have had this phone for a while now and i can honestly say it is terrible. the first point to cover is the outer side which has the second screen on. Glass covers this screen and as soon as you drop it you get hairline fractures all over it. Second is the system, it always crashes. Trust me on this, its really not worth getting. STAY AWAY.

I have had this phone about a year. My glass hasn't cracked but I think I have a slight software issue. It is really slow and my contacts don't load properly. It's got quite a few scratches where the back has come off. I don't think I would buy it again and I wouldn't recommended this phone.

It's a pretty phone, it impressed people, I was happy with it...for about 2 weeks. I never dropped it or anything, and within the first 3 weeks, there was a crack on the front glass housing...then another 3 weeks later, just from having it in my front pocket. Also, before the phone was even 6 months old, the battery stopped holding a charge for more than 2 days. A new battery did not solve the problem, nor did a new charger. It was still under Motorola's warranty, so I had it 'fixed', though I just got another broken phone, they sent me a refurb with the same charging issue and a glitchy screen. I gave up and just bought a new phone, stay away from this model.

Well this phone it really depends. I will cover all categories on this phone. Games-One rubbish game sudoku Battery life-Rubbish,have to charge it every day Bluetooth Connection-It is ruubbish because you have to press find me to fond devices and it does NOT work with samsungs MP3 Player-This mp3 player is rubbish because if you go on to multimedia sounds you can only play one song then the phone goes off. But if you go on to Games and Apps you will find motorola audio player but it takes forever to load. Camera-Took me a while to find out how to get on to black and white mode but got there eventually Video-Only records for 21 seconds Voice record-If you do it through multimedia you can do it for 3 mins seven secs but if you go to the side button you can record for one second less than an hour Transferring ti=hings from phone to computer or the other way round- The software does not work

Have had this phone for 2 years now and it works very well. The only problem is I dropped it a week ago and the screen cracked. It still works though. I've gotten familiar with all the features and my only regret is that I didn't purchase the extra memory card as I want to have more music on the phone now. The battery life is great and I love the texting features. I would definitely purchase another one.

THis phone is so much trouble. I loved it when I frist got it but the main screen frequently dies out, and the battery does not last very long. THe texting takes too long. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE IT IS RUBBISH! although it looks nice, DONT BE DECIEVED!

I really love this phone have had it for about 3 years now and it's never once let me down, it's light and easy to use, I got the usb cable with it and downloaded my own ring tones and picture's to and from my computer it's great! Will miss her when she goes :-(

okay, i have had the krazer for a year, you would be crazy not to get it, but only if you want a simple phone. Anyways... my phone can stand up to anything, it is like indestructible. If you want a phone that will last, choose the krzr.

I have had this phone for 18 months and I love it. The battery has recently started to lose its charge and I have to charge it every 24 hours. It has a few external scratches now but nothing major. it is a grest size especially for texting and I dont feel like I am going to drop it like i do with slide phones. the flip protects the screen from damage and you dont need to bother with locking it. Its 2mp camera is great for snaps, remember this is a phone if you want to be a photographer get a camera, the music system is also fine. Buy it and try it!!

I happen to own the MOTOKRZR K1 and I love it. I've had it for almost a year now (i bought it September 29th of '07). The glass did crack across the top, but only because i accidentally stepped on the phone. It has been dropped several times onto concrete, asphalt, dirt, etc. The glass front is actuallt what has held up the best. the rubber-like coating over the metal and plastic back have a few nicks in it from the falls, but that's to be expected. I love the menus and they were not that hard to get used to considering my last phone was a Samsung. I've never been able to text as fast on another phone as i can on my KRZR (but in all fairness i don't use other phones very often). The MP3 player DOES support drag and drop file transfer, if I understand the term properly. Simply plug the phone into the computer via USB and access the phone in My Computer. Copy and paste, or drag and drop, the audio files into the audio folder. Viola. However, this is if you have a micr o SD card. Any and all sound files playable by the phone can be used as a ring tone. The Speaker is also fairly decent. especially is the phone is laying on a flat surface, such as a tabletop. The camera is very good, despite not having flash. Put the photos onto a computer and you will notice how the photos aren't a ridiculous itty bitty wallet size (unless you set them to be that way). Also, if you have photo editing software, and there are some good free ones out there, you can lighten up some dark photos for when there was poor lighting. I have to compliment the bluetooth capabilities as well. I have yet to not be able to do something over bluetooth. I can send any file I choose over bluetooth to another phone, computer, etc. I have noticed that LG phones are seriously lacking in BT functionality, since the only thing most LG phones will connect to via BT is a BT headset. I can also establish a dial-up internet connection (the internet speed is faster than dial-up though ) via bluetooth with my computer to fully utilize the internet i pay for through my cell provider. (The mobile browser is horrible, I'll admit that). I've noticed that none of my friends phones have an airplane mode, which is good for saving your battery if you know you won't have a signal. If you choose to, the phone also has a ton of security features. You can lock virtually any application selectively. whether it be messages, photos, calendar, contacts, games, and more. The only thing is that the phone doesn't have a way to make it automatically lock when you close it. You can, however, go though the menus till you get to security and select "lock now" and it'll be locked till you get back and unlock it. I'm probably forgetting several things I like about the phone, but oh well. There is one thing that does slightly irritate. the processor for the phone is rather slow. this is only a problem when i go to access my audio, video, or picture (especially picture) files. It doesn't help that I have about 60 full length songs, about 30 minutes woth of video, and almost every picture ever taken on the phone's camera (about 500+) as well as several large photos that I have put on from a computer. But the processor is not the main issue. The main issue is that when the phone has been trying to access something with lots of info in it, like the My Pictures folder, it tends to freeze up and reboot itself. I have figured out that it i press the center button about once a second for about 15 seconds while it is first trying to load it will not freeze. This is just my phone though. All in all, I absolutely love this phone and I would definitely buy another one (hopefully they will have put a better processor in it) FYI, the KRZR K1m has a different menu setup (what the soft keys do is backwards, like which one is select and which one is cancel), but otherwise there is no difference between the phones. Other than the obvious addition of touch sensors on the front that only work when the phone's MP3 function is in use.

had this one almost a year had trouble to begin with if i didn't turn it off during charging it would reset my audio to random places so after charging i had to go in and manually reset to my preference as time went on started freezing up it would vibrate freeze and go off i had to remove battery and turn back on to reset usually this would happen when i received a text not always but way too often now i really have a problem just a week ago my screen goes whit with blue stripes and wouldn't come back on i removed battery and sim card it came back up well i shouldve took the hint 3 days later my screen is gone for good lost all my numbers etc.... keep in mind i did love this phone and the features just wish i could get one that works.... by the way mine is under warranty... who would guess the dot is red.... it has NOT been wet damp or whatever ...... ya know im beginning to think the dot gets red on its own after a bit????

I have purchased two of these phones now, second-hand from an online auction site. Both of these phones have worked exactly within specification. Other reviewers have mentioned the frailties of the construction. I can only say that mine have been fine - maybe I'm just very careful. None of the software weaknesses described by others have shown themselves on my phones. In summary, if looked after, this design does what it says on the box!

My son and I both have the blue KRZR K1. Good looking, excellent camera (as long as you have a steady hand, bluetooth, text, video every aspect is brilliant, very happy with the phone itself. Only problem is, the cd with the phone tools for transferring photos to pc, sending text from a pc etc sets up an error message saying that the disc is not microsoft compatible. I installed the disc and had so many problems with my pc I had to have it re-formatted. I have not been able to find out where I can get a software cd that is compatible with microsoft and am unable to download photos. Can anyone help please?

Would I buy this 'phone again No I wouldn't. Evethough it is stylish and I suppose easy to use once you get used to it I found that the manual and some of the functions confusing. I would however buy Motorola again because the customer service is great!

Had Krzr 6 months and internal screen went off, could make calls and receive them but can't see any menus or anything on internal screen. Motorola fobbed me off with "water damage not covered by the warranty", they won't fix it and will charge me to get it back!! This phone has been no-where near any sort of water source. Have read a number of similar issues with Motorola not accepting liability for a warranty claim. Liked the phone, but I'm really disappointed with Motorola! Will NEVER buy Motorola again! Stick with Sony or Nokia!

i bought this phone on the understanding that I could switch it from O2 to vodafone but, when I put my vodafone simcard in I could not access the web or use multi media files. I must say that I completely disagree with this review: The fact that it is generally telling you not to buy it... What confuses me is if you spend however much you spend on this phone and you think it is expensive I suggest that you don't throw it around and sit on it or do something stupid like that and complain about it breaking... When I bought it the man from the Carphone Warehouse warned me that it was fragile... so I bought a phone case the put it in-not a phone sock because that would only protect from scratches-which, after 4 months of having this phone I have not acquired! Another thing!- Don't complain about fingerprints... how long does it take to wipe your phone against your shirt or jeans? Hold it at the sides! Also... I am a fat person with fat fingers and I find the keypad utterly simple! Plus I'm sorry but I've over-read that people are complaining they cant understand how to use certain aspects of the phone or they don't know where parts of the phones' software are... Well, obviously you'd like to know where everything is but what would be the fun in that? I love finding new stuff about it out every day. I give this phone a 5/5 Full marks! I recommend buying it unless you are lazy, boring, have arthritis, or have an irrational hatred of motorola and fancy saying bad stuff about it on a mobile phone review site! And you should go and buy a Nokia brick instead because funnily enough the reason why I bought this phone is because my nokia was rubbish and broke overnight without water or me hitting it or anything! This has got to be the most attractive cellphone I've ever owned. My last phone was a Chocolate and, while I LOVED that phone, I thought it was a little 'touchy' for my tastes. This phone fits nicely in then hand and the buttons are of a good size that require actual PRESSURE before they'll click. Am still having a hard time getting used to the placement of the buttons (different from my last phone), but that will happen in time. HATE how it's a magnet for fingerprints (I have the red one) but love the design overall. It's a pretty 'dummy proof' phone, easy to use. Music quality is very good, speaker is pretty loud, even on the lowest setting. Like that I can use the MicroSD chip I had in my chocolate. Not too many complaints overall. Glad I got it.

I hate this mobile. I couldn't wait to finally buy it at first. But this phone gave me trouble from day one 4 days charging and nearly 1 day usage... without hardly using it.. only in standby. Terrible Now after 3 months and after buying another battery nothing works.. except beeping when trying to charge the @#$%&*** thing.. White screens works fine as well... (sometimes only a blueish notepad) 4 months later.... without any support of motorola!! I can only conclude... Never, no NEVER in my whole life another motorola.. Never.. not only free.. just Never again!!

I'm probably posting this far too early to make a judgement as I've only had the phone for 3 days. It's aesthetically pleasing, new and shiny black, with a nice matte finish on the back. It's small light, but feels solid at least. However, the screen and keypad actually touch when it closes (same design flaw as RAZR), so all your greasy prints from using the keypad transfer to your screen every time you close your phone. Only gets worse through more use. Nightmare. Also, have not been able to get the Internet working, doesn't seem to have any available settings to program it, and doesn't come with software so hooking it up to the computer is tricky. Probably some software out on the web somewhere that might work, so far unsuccessful. Can't get my music on there, tried through bluetooth. Seems another failed attempt at a flip-phone by Motorola.

This Phone has not helped me at all my young daughter dropped it on my soft carpet and my camera which i need very badly because it helped me with my job has stopped working now that was one this but then , i needed to send a very important text to this man about getting promotided and then it froze turned off and deleted all my contacts all my pictures and every thing so i didnt get the promotion so instead of this phone helping me its just caused my life a bit more stress so im very very angry and im actually fuming with this phone! its unbeleivably bad!

Well this phone is a straight up joke, within the first month of use I had to send it in for warranty, the screen just went blank and wouldn't turn on. Once I received it back within a week my camera would not work and my up bottom started to freeze. This phone is not recommended.

I absolutely positively hate this phone. Ever since i got it, it has been freezing on me.. i will be in the middle of a conversation and the call will be dropped or the text will be lost. Now i have dropped it once or twice and the screen has gone completely blank. The truth is.. this phone was a waste of money and got me a good grounding and the joy of having a blank screen for a few months.. ugh. stupid phone!

I have had this phone for less then a year now and i am getting my second replacment phone. Luckily my first was under warranty but the screen kept going completely blank and i eventually couldnt use it any more. The same thing is happening with my current krzr. I mainly use my phone to text i do this all day and it works pretty good but now i cannot use it at all. If you are looking into getting this phone i wouldnt! Get something else!

well , i suppose its okay. good camera. but it dosent come with software so you can connect it to the computer which is not good as you have to get everything sent through blue-tooth. Next the buttons are too close together if you are a fast texter like me, you tend to catch the other buttons. Overall a goodish phone, not the best, not the worst .

I've had this phone almost ten months back the problem i face that when any message or missed call came then it keep on beep unless u cancel it . recording time is very short almost 30 second at one take. which is very short for me . picture quality are fine only at day time or in bright light. iev drop this fone several times but surpringly its still work .i am consedring it as average set .at present i am using nokia N 95. it has enough space to store mp3 songs or as well for rocording vedio.

the only thing i liked about the phone was its design and the gadgets, but other than that, i absolutely hate this phone, i dropped it twice on carpet and my camera stopped working, then after that my screen wouldnt come one when i first flipped it open so i had to open it again, then the screen just stopped coming on. my battery doesnt even last half a day. my phone now has a crack in its screen also, i wouldnt recomend this phone to anyone, this phone is a piece of junk, im going back to LG's, those phones are indestructable, motorola is no good, i recomend LG's

WORST PHONE EVER. I am now on my 3rd krazor. My first one just starting freezing randomly and the screen would go black and wouldnt come back on for days. I got my second one, which was not the same color as my first one (not my choice) and the screen cracked and it froze all the time. I got that one replaced and now with this 3rd phone i am in the same boat. The camera sucks and the memory space is pretty sad. My brother got the same phone as me andhas never had a single probem. I think this phone is a huge hit or miss kind of thing. its a risk that isn't worth the price and hassle.

I've had this phone since September 06 (it's July 08). I have just beat the @#** out of this phone (the VZW version). Dropping it on pavement, having it fall out of my car. Cosmetically it looks great. Not perfect - I'm sure under scrutiny you can find flaws, but in general, the phone looks very good. I was concerned about the glass cracking or showing scratches, but that feal never manifested itself. Maybe it's VZW's black color scheme, but it's never been an issue. Yes, it gets fingerprints. They wipe off easily. For something this glossy and cool looking, it's going to get some prints on it. I agree about the outer screen. I would prefer something better. The main screen is great, but I prefer the moto UI over VZW.s The voice recognition works great, though. I can't even remember dropping a call. It must have happened, but if it has, it's not been memorable. I keep connected in elevators and pretty much every where I go, and I travel a bit. DC/Baltimore, LV, Atlanta, SD, Orlando, Miami, SLC, Houston, Dallas. That pretty much covers the last 12 months.. I do a lot of conference calls in my car - never had to redial mid call because it dropped. I use the H700 BT headset - connects instantly every time. My battery is showing signs of wear, so I'm hunting for a new one. One other thing - I use this as a phone. I don't use the MP3, calendar, etc. For the most part, all I care about is the phone, the phone book, & alarm clock. I text maybe 10 - 15 a month, and I take a picture every so often. I could care less about that, though.

when i close this phone then open it again it like shuts down or something but it just becomes a white screen and it is not very durable as far as dropping it it has little memory and only lets you take videos 40 seconds or less at a time the chocolate phone combines all the memory so you can take many short videos or you can take one long video

The phone looks good and the buttons are nice and large. However... as others have already written the texting system is very slow. The camera is very lame in poor light. The videos are limited to about 20 seconds and have poor sound quality. My settings (such as ring style) have a habit of changing themselves randomly. The alarm is very annoying and slow to set up. Most annoyingly I have had huge problems downloading my pictures and videos from it. Everytime I plug the phone in my PC it spends 30 minutes trying to update the software and often fails completetly. Worst still I have only once ever been able to backup text. Perhaps this is a general Motorola problem and not simply to do with the model of phone. Basically this phone is rubbish, I wish I still had my old Phillips or Nokia.

I really like this phone. Its stylish, is very thin and lets you make a video for a long time. The only problem is that I have got several scratches on the front of my phone. This is not because i am careless, it is because it is hard not to accidentaly drop it. Overall its a good phone, and its so cheap nowadays, so go out and buy it for goodness sake!

This sleak & Stylish phone is awsome. The Camera takes outstanding photos which are very clear. The texting is amazing, it saves sentances which makes it easer to text and a lot simpler. The Bluetooth can be quite slow is you are reciving a big file such as a song but sending pictures sometimes only take a second. The memory is not great and you can only hold about 2 or 3 songs but you can expand that with a Micro SD card. The front screen gets loads of finger prints and is very delicate, by that i mean it can break very easily. It can sometimes freeze & go white which is very anoying. I would not say this phone is outstanding but it is a very good phone. I would recommend this phone though.

I got my phone about a year ago (its in repair right now (they lost it))but i love it! it is so perfect for me! the pictures kinda suck but thats not the point of a phone, i LOVE the texting, but my issue was cracks on the cover, the screen didn't actually break until i threw it HARD at a door frame (dont ask). I am in hell without it, i have like some gross nokia one now and its like. nasty

Hate the phone. Texts take ages to go through and reception really poor. Glass has cracked on front and the buttons are so close that when you are in middle of writing a text you can send it by a slip of a button before finishing message. With regard to calls, I often get cut off. DO NOT BUY.

the worst phone ive ever had. it switches itself off all the time but carries on vibrating. hardly ever get text messages through it takes about an hour for them to be updated. the back always drops off, the battery falls out, the screen cracks on its own, battery is terrible, camera is awful, pics look poor, very low memory. would not recommend.

I've had this phone for 6 months and really like it! The screen hasn't cracked and it works really well. The front shiny screen gets really greasy, but thats not a real problem. You do tend to catch the buttons whist texting as i text fast and it tends to cancel the message which is annoying as it takes you ages. The phone can be quite slow at times. If the phone freezes you can just flip it down and it works as normal. Overall good phone, but i'd rather have a sony ericsson

My Motorola KRZR K1 began to go wrong just a few days after the warranty expired. Shortly after that it went completely dead. O2, where I had paid �139 for it, didn't want to know. 'Contact Motorola' they said. Motorola in turn, simply washed their hands of it. They told me a supervisor would ring me the following day to discuss the matter. They didn't bother. Phoned them again. They denied all knowledge and promised again that a supervisor would call. Again they didn't. Have now reverted to my 4 year old Samsung which still works well. If you are looking for reliability combined with a good after sales sevice, my advice is;- DON'T BUY MOTOROLA AND PARTICULARLY DON'T BUY IT FROM O2.

Sorry BUT.. i have this phone and i hate it !! My screen is completely cracked and its all worn away on the back too. its got no storage at all and the TEXTING is rubbish. its so slowwwww,, and also i cant even recive Picture messages or attatched files. :@:@.. HATE IT

I have the moto krazr k1m from us cellular in red. i love this phone. its very stylish and sleek. music is easily accessed and the touch screen buttons are great. i would definitely reccomend this phone!

The KRZR is byfar the worst phone I have ever encountered in my life. The screen cracks for no apparent reason and having to carry a phone that has shattered glass that cuts your finger when you are talking on it is definitely not ideal.

As I write this I'm well aware that this phone would now be considered out of date and the likelihood of anyone reading this review is marginal, however it has to be said that this is one of the best handset's I've owned. I've absolutely hammered my phone, having made over 500 hours of calls in the 18 months I've had it. On top of that I've spent over 30 hours on the internet. The battery still lasts for days on end,the camera works perfectly and the general functionality and software features still responds perfectly (as it did the day I purchased it). Notwithstanding the scratches, chips, scars and peeling paintwork my phone has endured through a year and a half of drops and falls, it's still a perfectly functioning handset and would probably last for many months to come. I've just ordered the V9. Here's hoping it lives up to the robust standards of the K1 [Editor's reply: Thanks for the review, John. I read it! Looking forward to reading your review of the V9!]

This makes my job even harder, I tested this phone for only three days, I wanted more. It's a great little phone, who will disagree, small and stylish, if this was a beauty contest it would get 10/10. but, I am giving at an average rating. Motorola, have always made respectable phones like this one, but there are issues like no memory card slot, and lack of 3G. If you are one of those people who just wanna talk and text, then this phone is perfect for you, but if want more out of a phone then oh dear. I think it's a nice phone though, it never went wrong.

BOOST UNLIMTED users or potential Boost customers PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE..Im a former Verizon and Sprint LG phone user who always like this phones appearance and wanted one for a while when I bought it with Boost Unlimited service I wanted to return but couldnt. This phone is horrible it freezes Constantly and shuts off all the time and when you get a text message it takes AT LEAST 30 seconds before the phone will repsond or do anything again..LOOKS ARE DECEIVING!

ive had this fone for months now and its brill. camera is pretty good and the screen resolution is fab. having some trouble sending things to certain phones via blutooth, but ah well im getting a new fone soon . only cost me 60 quid which ent bad. extras are good espesh the games and music play , all in all a good fone, onlky down side is the bluetooth and the front mirror is cracked :(

I liked this mob at first sight.... 1)It's good but one great,funny,harassing problem is that it has not warning tone when ur call gets cut off by whom u 've called and u keep continue to speak n aftersome time when u not get respons then u realised the matter. 2)when there r missed call or new sms it keeps warning tones ringing...ti s'd have on/off option... ...... This phone is real good, it has not developed one scratch or crack and I have dropped it so much times, It looks so good and it is such an easy phone to use, unlike sony ericsson, everything is very straightforward and the texting is the easiest EVER. The only problem that I have ever had with this phone is it used to go blank all the time after I dropped for about the 10th time, but I got the battery changed and now its back working excellently. Get this phone!

...oh lord... where to start? unlike most of the reviews I have read my screen is in good condition... hasn't cracked... so that's probably the only PLUS. as for the negatives about this phone. Battery life is horrible. Something causes the phone to turn on and off and continue doing so for quite sometime. it freezes randomly. txting is slow. and for whatever reason my sounds have stopped working... such as if i want to review my ringtones under the my ringtones menu... I cannot hear a thing. It makes calls... and recieves calls. that's about it. I have reason to believe that txts aren't always recieved by the phone either... because i've witnessed people's txt messages from their phone that I never got. I certainly feel that's not a good thing at all! i wouldn't reccommend this phone... in most people's cases expecially if you thrash around your phone often... because the screen will end up looking horrible. ohhh and you can always see finger prints on the screen because it's mirror-like. NO GOOD!

This phone is rubbish just like te other Motorala's I bought. Like te previoous, it has loads of software releated issues. When you charge your phone your ringtone will be altered 8 out of 10 times. After a year or so the phone starts 'freezing' during use. When you answer a call you are connected but either side can hear anything. Sometime even the screen turns white. Each time you have to switch the phone off en start again. So like in the rest of the world looking nice doesn't being good at it.

I've had mine about a year and have had intermittent problems with it spontaneously rebooting. This is especially bothersome while trying to send a text message. Now, the front panel glass has shattered for some unknown reason--I did not drop it, it was in my pocket. Although this has ruined the appearance, it still functions the same. I will not buy another one.

I have had this phone for a month now and so far I had gotten a hair-line scratch on the screen and the external screen blanked out. The video and camera are OK but if your going to buy this phone, your only buying for it's design. Other than that, this phone should not be on the top of your buying list.

Bought this phone last year and gave it away after three months of frustration. If you use the handsfree kit that comes with it (for example in the car)and then disconnect it for normal use you sound like Darth Vader to the people you're calling. This can only be fixed by switching the phone off and on again - a total pain in the Aristotle. Some good features and a cool look but these do not outweigh the problems. Bad phone.

Well! When I first got this phone i was over the moon, its so sleek looking and gorgeous. BUT, after five days the camera stopped working! i went to take a photo and it went black then white. The video camera wont work either. its heartbreaking as it does look really awesome/(apart from a major crack in the front which seems to be a common trend in this phone) The texting is really slow but thats alright for me.

i like that this phone has great funcionality i bought two at the same time from motorola.com and bought them unlocked the phone works great and never freezes up, but the outside screen is shattered and now needs replacement because the crack goes right over the camera lens. so my phone works great but a MAJOR outside screen flaw! I will never buy from moto again unless they are gonna give me one!

this phone cannot take pictures in the dark - it literally comes out as a block of black, even when in night mode, plus the fact that there is no flash makes it pretty disappointing in terms of its camera; meaning i have to take my digital camera around instead of using my phone at night. perhaps there is a feature which allows for better pics but i haven't found it, does anyone know?

Good all round phone. Before this one I had the v3 which ended up in the washing machine, not much difference between the two I found. Slightly more sub menus on krzr which is annoying when coming to delete files. Excellent speaker phone, very good pictures. Love the predictive text on these phones. No problems with cracked screen despite dropping it several times or having owned it for 12 months with NO problems whatsoever. Looking for one with maps to download on next. Overall I would stick to a motorola.

The phone looks good, but the bluetooth facility is not compatible with anything and is very temper mental when searching for devices, it will not tranfer files via bluetooth. I was very disappointed when this happened as i have a bluetooth facility which i cannot use. i suppose this could be a way to make you send via multimedia and not send it free!!!!

it's alright i guess. ive hade many problems with it before any review of it. the USB port which transfers files from the computer to your phone doesn't function after a while of using it, so the computer doesn't sense its's there. you literally have to hold the phone in the air and pin the cable so it connects.they seem to have fixed the screen problem. another thing i noticed is it loses pictures, music, videos, everything. you have to reset the phone to get everything back. the only thing i like is the clear HD screen, wallpapers look sharp when transfered from a computer. it lags in texting, very slow. it also looks a mess when fingerprints appear all over the glass. if you want it to be a decent phone, buy the memory card, boosts the memory and stores hundreds of pictures, music files and videos. if you play music though the battery life isn't good, it lasts about 1 hour to the max before it needs charging. overall its good for most things.

I have had a Motorola Krzr for about 9 months now, and I advise you NOT to buy it. The camera is the worst I have ever experienced on a phone. Everything is scratched and worn, and the camera barely holds any pictures at all. The software is boring, and outdated. No excitement. Voice records are TERRIBLE, and the music player is almost impossible to use.

I still like this phone even now after 15 months of ownership. Fortunately I have not been effected with the reliability issues. It still looks good, works well, I cannot find a phone that looks as good and the battery lasts me almost a week, however, the camera could be better and the mp3 player is not user friendly. Good points: Looks. Bad points: camera -not that good, mp3 player -not that good, texting -bit slow, vibration -needs to be be stronger as you can miss calls, you have to open the phone to check for missed calls as the external screen defaults to the screensaver too quick. If you want a phone that looks good and works well as a phone get this one. If you want to use all the extras frequently, don't bother.

ive had this phone since september now and i love it. my screen hasnt broken or scratched at all. ive even thrown it agaisnt a wall with anger and no damage. i dont find a problem with the texting what so ever either. but i do have two minor problems with the phone though, first being after a few months i couldnt edit my contacts anymore. and secondly when someone calls the name and picture does not come up anymore just the number. not really a big deal. but im going to get it checked out. overall, im in love with this phone.

I have had this phone for over 18 months now and it has been with me everyday. Im in the building industy and it has gone through a lot. It has even been dropped in sand and just needed a wipe down. Still works well and infact has never let me down.The flip is just as strong as when it was new.I am now due an upgrade and to be honest, im strugling to find something as durable and user friendly as this

Do not buy this phone. I loved the look of it but it has almost no battery life. I can talk to someone for exactly 15 minutes before the battery runs low and the phone turns itself off. I will never buy another Motorola phone ever again. Stick with LG.

I love this phone - its probably the best phone ive ever had! Its alot more sturdy than the samsungs i have owned. I have had this phone for a year and i am due to upgrade. I cant decide if to get the V8 or the samsung G600. The KRZR K1 is very easy to use and you can text fast on it. The only problem is the camera isnt that good on it, my husband has a Samsung D900i and the camera is much better on that. This phone is so cheap to buy now aswell, and its reliable.

my screen has never cracked or been smashed, and ive had it for nearly a year. people that sit on it or drop it often probly results in the broken/cracked screen. its design is very nice and the phone is easy to handle. i like the pre-empted text input which is good and makes it faster to type a message. i will buy this phone again.

Got mine as an upgrade from motorola V525 in November 2006 with vodafone. Have always had motorola handsets from '99. It's now March 2008 and despite what others have said here my only negative comments would be; glass does show handrints and texting is slow. No mysterious cracking of glass but after 1.5 years of regular use (without a cover) there are a few very small scratches - nothing you wouldn't expect. Still looks nearly new when cleaned. Plus points are good camera, solid feel to clam shell when opening/closing. I'm used to motorola menus, so can't comment on how intuitive/unituitive the file menus are. Batteries have been good from the start, never any major problems with charging, easy to sync address book up to pc using motorola software. All in all I think it's a very good phone with great looks. Currently looking to go iphone, purely for email and internet which has always been something I thought motorola were a bit behind on - general comment.

I used to have a V3, thought about buyi this phone, my friend bought it and was really pleased..but the features are almost identical to the V3's and that is 2 years old now! Cmon Motorola, and ive heard design faults aswell so steer clear! By the way my friends phone has been replacd now hes given up on the terribleness of it all! Motorola are clinging onto a thread of market with the nice looking design, but people will learn and if Motorola dont buck up their ideas then they will be a fading brand! Avoid this phone, and any other phone with the brand, or slowly sink with the Motorola ship!

I have had the phone since October and took very good care of it. Last week the screen started turning white or black, I can no longer text and can hardly ever dial out due to the no service warning. I am constantly alerted about a calender event and picture message even though when I check I have none. My phone will no longer ring, only vibrate even if it is set to actually ring. It also will die after about 4 hours even though I charge it all night. Also, while it is charging it beeps constantly. I initially loved this phone but now i want to throw it down the toilet! I know that this is not just my phone seeing as to how my friend had it too and had to replace it 3 times for the EXACT same problems.

I haven't used the phone yet as I am getting it for my birthday. The looks are very good although it is a shame the whole phone couldn't be the mirror like material. I have read reviews on other sites that stated on quite a few of those that the screen sometimes cracks. The shop you got the phone from wouldn't take the phone back on quite a few occasions. So, I don't know if I would buy it knowing that information!! :)

DO NOT BUY - BUYER BEWARE, IT'S LIKE A WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING! sexy but rough! I have had this phone for a year now and have had to have one replacement for a cracked screen after three months! (I was only hoovering and it was in my pocket, god knows what happened to it, it must of imploded...! Also it cost me �25 excess to get it mended and by the way you now also have to pay �30 for a temp phone from vodafone whilst yours is mended! such a rip off! you can buy phones for that now days! ALL IN ALL POOR PHONE, POOR SERVICE, I CANT WAIT FOR MY UPGRADE!!!! MOVING TO SAMSUNG, A CLASSY PHONE!!! I must say initially when i bought it i loved it, it looked sexy and a real girl's phone but it bored me after a short time. It is a finger print magnet and now after a year all the silver coating around the glass on the front is scratched and chipped and i am a careful person with my phone. I hate the fact that when the phone is closed when someone calls you can't see who is calling, so no call screening for those ex boyfriends. Also it has very few functions... You can't change ring tones for different people, or add pictures for contacts, add different types of numbers i.e home, mobile etc for one person on one contact. I can only have ten messages in my inbox and there is nowhere else to store them and you can't change the name of folders. When you save them to one set folder called archive, it saves the text but not who it is from and no date, so you can't save those cherish messages from from friends, family and boyfriends. It is also awkward to text and i don't bother anymore i just ring people. I am usually a quick one handed texter but on this phone it is impossible. it also clears to texts very easily! very annoying. The phone freezes occasionaly which can be frustrating and has the odd funny term...! once it kept telling me my phone was messages were full so i deleted them all and it kept saying it even though all was empty! IT BEEPED FOR HOURS and vodafone said i had too many messages when i called them and i repeatidly told them i had none at all! would they believe me!!!!!

This phone (admittedly in combination with horrific service from Carphone Warehouse) has been a nightmare - every three months another major problem, from the recharger not working, the battery draining, to not being able under the terms of the contract OR the insurance sold by Carphone Warehouse to get it fixed while abroad. It is very fragile (very easy to not get the keypad to work right; breaks but in a non-obvious way if it drops to the floor AT ALL). A massively, massively unreliable phone admittedly made much worse by Carphone warehouse afterservice. Never again.

I've had this phone since Christmas, and 2 weeks after i got it it cracked on the front of the phone, and earlier on today the screen cracked on the inside, other than it breaks easily it's good and stylish but i would not recommend buying this phone, unless you wanna break it...

My mum has thi sfone and its great one. my mum loves motorala abd she has not had another fone for 2 years, not needed any repair. she has dropped it a few times and no sign off breakage, very easy to use, dont take many songs thou. anbd it doesnt have a hreay camera its about average. i suggest you buy this one because it geat.

I have had my phone for just over a year now and dont have many problems with it at all during this time. ive dropped this phone so many times and have never had any problems after. the only thing i find a pain is when i text so fast i end up catching another button so the text either sends before ive finished it or Aborts. but im use to this now. just as i got to the year mark of having this phone i have noticed how the screen does go blank. i only use this phone now as a spare as ive upgraded to a lg viewty. but the phone is worth buying but not for a long term thing tho!!

I wish I saw your review before I bought mine. I had problems after two weeks becaus ethe battery would not hold a charge. The battery was replaced and worked for a week and then developed the same problem. Even without a single call, it would start the "low battery warning" in less than 24 hours. Given the advances made in battery technology, this is not acceptable.

This phone sucks. I got it for christmas this year. It worked alright for about a month and a half- texting was a bit slow & annoying to use, froze a few times, love the camera though. But just yesterday i wasnt able to send or recieve texts messages anymore and the phone would randomly shut off on its own. This morning i found it shut off and is now unable to turn back on. I'm hoping to take it back and get a different phone because i would never want this phone again. It is unreliable and useless. I am very disappointed with its quality. And like most of you have said, it gets dirty easily with finger prints and such and looks disgusting.

I bought this phone with high hopes and i wasnt dissapointed. It's sleek and the mirror reflective outer screen is fantastic i find myself looking at it constantley to check how i look!. The megapixel camera is fanstastic and the features are brilliant! the downloads are great and voice dialing everything you want in a phone and more the quality of the mp3 player blows my mind! My phone causes and spectacular amount of jeliousey!

I brought the Moto Krzr before Christmas. I am happy with it! It looks very attractive, because of the glass and I think the colour I have is probably the best, it's the dark blue. I also like it because it is sleek, also the intergrated speaker is cool. It is so much better from the PEBL, which is naff, but I liked it at the time. I saw the Krzr and wanted it straight away! The only problems with it, is that you have to keep cleaning the front every 5 minutes, the battery life seems to be short and it feels a bit flimsy. But, overall, I think it'a a good phone.

This phone is great! Fast bluetooth, decent memory and good games for download. But there is one major flaw, the outside. On the front, over the outer screen and camera lens are covered by REAL GLASS!!! So unless you plan to have no accidents what-so-ever with this phone, the glass could easily crack and without a warranty this could be a problem!

I have found this phone to be no problem since purchase although the battery life span is terrible and the phone has wrecked three chargers. At first i thought i recieved a falty charger but how can 3 in a row be falty !! The phone in its self looks great but i wouldnt say i am 100 percent satisfied. I would give this phone a 6 out of 10.

I have owned this phone for a year now, & it has been reliable and a pleasure to use. I am not particularly careful, and the phone has been dropped onto hard surfaces several times, but the glass and casiing are both still perfect. It looks beautiful when polished, but as soon as you pick it up it is covered in fingerprints. This has been my favourite mobile phone so far. I have taken some really pleasing photos with it.

Have had this phone for over 14 months. Overall the features of this phone are pretty average but the 2 mega pixel does an ok job of pictures and zoom features come in handy - no flash so night shots not as good. I have a 1 GB memory card in mine and have loads of songs on and the USB and computer software makes editing tracks for ringtones and transferring pictures etc really easy. I can report no screen cracks despite dropping the phone several times!! Its been quite hardy usually under a load of stuff in my handbag!! Shiny surface can be annoying as does attract fingerprints but overall it looks good. I would recommend this to anyone looking for decent mid-range phone.

Bought the phone last week, only strange thing that happened was it randomly couldn't call people until I switched it off and on again. Aside from that, haven't had any cracks as of yet (waiting for it), its all pretty and slimline and everything is working fine. (Oh but the bluetooth went a little dodged and wouldn't recognise my other phone, but worked after a bit of fiddling around). Only time will tell whether it was worth the $200.

I've had this phone for a year now and am SOOO pleased that my contract is up as I haven't warmed to it. There are pros, in that I really like its size (long and slim, fits very well in my handbag!), shiny mirror front (great for doing your makeup!) and it still looks like new (no scratches, surprisingly) but it's really not an easy phone to use and it hasn't got any easier over the 12 months I've owned it. Texting in particular is a pain in the .. and the call list is annoying to get around. I'm also noticing the battery wearing down within hours now (just on standby), so it's on its way out and I'm glad I didn't sign up for an 18 mth contract. The camera is pretty good, although as soon as you upload them onto the PC, they lose their quality, so I think that's a little deceiving. Wouldn't buy a motorola again. Find the menu display & texting really user unfriendly so would stick with the good old Nokia in future!!

i had that phone for 5 months and it started malfunctioning. the camera got all multicolored and blurry, it looked like water was in the camera, and it froze a lot. i had to replace it because it ended up freezing and the screen turned black and wouldn't turn back on. it also wouldn't hold a charge. i would have to charge it 2-3 times a day. i was really disappointed. i really liked that phone. and the EXACT same thing happened to my dad's. and everyone else i know who had that phone, had similar problems with it. i don't get why these phones have so many problems. but then again my replacement phone was an LG, and two months later it's starting to malfunction in the same ways. i think cell phone companies are doing this on purpose to make us buy more phones to make more money? but idk. that's just my opinion. i don't get how all my phones i get do this. i take REALLYY good care of them. . .

I've had this phone less than one month and the glass cracked twice. carphone warehouse told me it was my fault and that i'd have to pay for repair �45.I wrote to motorola telling them what i thought of this phone. Not a phone i'd recommend to anyone.

this phone was very nice until today when they side button fell off for no reason. they are very lose and easily fall off. also i can text faster thanthe phone reconizes the letters. other than that i have had no problems with it until today and i have had it for 5 months.

The only reason i stick with motorolas is to make ringtones. Yet the moto phone tools works maybe once every 10 times i try it. The phone has constant fingerprint marks on it (ive given up trying to wipe them off). The screen goes blank sometimes, or freezes for 2 seconds then responds to whatever button you last pushed. I can text faster than the phone can type it! The buttons are weirdly placed, so half the time when im trying to delete some letters, i press send by accident..or easily end the msg without sending it, and not having it save in the Drafts folder (which results in typing the whole thing again). The camera is ok, but you have to stay in one place for a while after clicking to take the picture or else it will end up blurry. It seems like thats normal for all phones or even cameras, but seems like an extremely long time to stand still, take it, then move a while later. The battery at first lasted an okay amount of time.. but lately it lasts maybe a day. It will go from 2 bars of battery (medium) down to RED (low low low)in a matter of minutes. I will hear the beep of the "red warning" then my call will hang up 5 seconds later and my phone will be dead. Ive only had this phone for 4 months!! Cant wait to buy something else..

this phone is ok i just got it a nice update to my 3 year old smsung pice of .. nevr by samsung phones they have no sevice anywere. unlike moto phones like this krzr. i have noticed the finger print problums but they are easily buffed out with the sleeve of your shirt. ****suggestions**** Get a cas * *** ** ** *******

I've had this phone for about 18 months now, and have to say have had no problems with it! It's slim, easy to use, reliable, charges quickly (I know it doesn't last a week - but that doesn't personally bug me, I don't mind charging it overnight 2-3 times a week!) My only real complaint is that you can't do personalised ringtones for different people on your contact list.... and although that's a function I really like, it's not the end of the world! I'm sad that it has such bad reviews - maybe I was lucky??? I'm shopping for another phone, just because it's time for a change, but the reviews I've read here make me wonder how much one can rely on other people's opinions?? My opinion is still that it's an attractive, easy to use phone that I would recommend :)

well well i would totally agree that MotoKRZR is hot designed cell phone for sure.. and i bought MotoKRZR fire (NEW) from korea (i'm using it in different country far from korea) actual name is MS700 but after 14 days the speaker just went quite i don't know why i didn't do anything and i went to the repair shop and wasted another 20 bucks but you know i bought this and that phone have to stay new at least 2 month. i'm not that kind of person who use things badly. i can prove it cuz i used to have nokia 3220 before it and i have it for 2.5 years i know it is too long but i'm sure that i didn't have anything with the Nokia and even i don't have any scratch on it too funny but don't buy MOTOKRZR. P.S if there is someone who works for motorola please make something reliable.........

Well, So Far Mine's o.k. But Now people will call and it wont ring.. And I wont hear it ring. I tried calling my cell phone from my home phone and It's all blank. I'm upset about it. I dont know if it has to do with the phone or it's serivice.. I havent had mine crack yet, but when I take a picture, a lot of the time this message appears "Picture capture failed" And It goes blank and wont let me open my camera. A lot of the times I have to turn off my phone and turn it back on. I dont like this phone, what so ever. Don't buy it. You're wasting Time & Money.

I just got the KRZR the other day and MAN! this phone rocks my socks off! PROS: sleek, stylish design, easy to access contacts list, easy to change button features and function, easy to import music/movies onto included or upgraded 2Gb microSD card, voice-activated dialing is simple to set up and use CONS:face-plate attracts fingerprints, alarm function is tricky to set up and does not always function properly, "intuitive" text can interfere with typing, no way to voice-activate speed-dial Final outcome: overall, the pros by far outstrip the cons and make this phone a stylish and trendy phone for those who are fashionable, but it's obvious delicacy makes it one that you would NOT want to use if you lead a rugged life.

I have had mine about 6 months. I really like the phone, and it's features. I added a 1GB miro SD card, and can store loads of phots. I haven't worked much with the video. I can connect to my computers (mac and pc) without any problems. The only glitch I've had is that sometimes it freezes up, much like a computer. It will go through the steps of selecting a phone number and dialing, but it doesn't actually do it. There is no sound (beeps) and no connection to the recipiant. I have to turn the phone off and back on for it to work properly. I notice this problem more if I carry it in my pocket instead of a holster. Don't know if it has anything to do with the problem, though. Otherwise, a super phone.

I'm in the US and have a KRZR K1M through Verizon. I'm on my 2nd one, as my first one lasted less than a month before the battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore. Now my 2nd one just started exhibiting the same behavior 2 days ago ( a mere 4 months after I exchanged it). I'm really ticked off now. I've never had a problem with any of my other cell phones. I'm thinking about going back to Verizon today to exchange the phone for a completely different model, but I need to be in the right mood to do this, because I am going to DEMAND that I not pay for my replacement phone or any of the accessories. This is very unfortunate, because other than the batteries giving me problems, I really like the phone. I'm just irritated that they continue to sell these pieces of junk knowing full well that they have problems.

What a rubbish phone! I have used Nokia for years but got a little bored with the menu (which seems to be the same in all Nokias). Decided to go for the Motorola instead. WHAT A MISTAKE! The biggest problem is the memory. Sooooo slooooowwwwwwww.....................absolutely infuriating. WAP access is absolutely brutal too. If you finally connect and scroll down the menu, the phone lags well behind. The alarm is useless too. You need to set it on or off every night rather than being able to set it by day like Nokia. If you are thinking of buying one DONT!!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!! I have had various brands of cell phones over the years and this is by far the worst. I have had this phone for 9 months and it is a piece of !*%$. It will not hold a charge and cuts off even when it has been charging for hours. My wife has the same phone and hers does the same. Ringtones do not work properly as well. You can not preview rings any longer and the list goes on....

I have a KRZR K1 that is less than 1 year old...and like all the motorolas I have ever owned it is full of problems. After about 6 months or a year the keypad fails and the phone went crazy doing its own thing while I wasn't touching a single button. I will never buy a motorola again and would not reccommend any motorolas to anyone else.

I have this phone for a year now, and by reading all these reviews, I would definitely get the wrong picture.... I do not take care of the phone and it works perfect...no cracks just some minor scratches, which is normal for the use and abuse I treat it with. The battery is still strong and can still manage 2+ days by the use of Bluetooth (2 hours talk time per day). The menu is not very sophisticated, but the music quality is good. The alarm could be better in order to set it up for different days! I d recommend it to anyone not working in the construction business!

I purchased this phone from Carphone Warehouse on 07/01/2008!! from all the great phones other manufactors have released in the market, the krzr is by far THE best looking phone. it may not have all the best softwares such as the Nokia 5310 and so forth, but i dont care! how could i not resist the look and especially the design of the phone. it pulled me in! its a BEAUT. its mouth watering, especially the one in blue. referring to the reviews up. in order for the consumers to deal with the glass screen probblem and to make ur phone scratch proof litterally. Get ur self the plastic covers. iv gt one, and they are fantastic. ur phone stays protected from scratches and small impacts. the data transfer maybe tricky, but remember. WE HAVE THE BEST LOOKING PHONE!

I bought my phone about 6 months ago. The phone will not hold a charge, when I charge it, it says the charge is complete but after 1 use (about 5 min) the phone goes dead. Sometimes the phone will not work at all, it just flashes back & forth from a black & white screen. I've been using cell phones since they first came out and this is the worst one I have ever had.

Having owned the KRZR since it came out over a year ago, I have to admit I was really dissapointed. For all the hype surrounding the slim and stylish Motorola phones, compared to my old SonyEricsson, it was really a step down. First of all, the GUI is terrible. Even now while I am able to put up with it, if I want to change something like the theme, I have to go digging around in the options, it is not intuitive at all. That was my main problem with the phone. In terms of now the OS looks, it does look really dated compared to the high res, smooth scrolling offered by phones like SonyEricsson and Samsung. On the plus side, I don't know what the reviewer meant about the glass cracking, it really is a durable phone. After over a year of ownership, I have had no problems mechanically with the phone, and even after a fair bit of abuse, it is still reasonably markless, though fingerprints are attracted to the cover like a iron filings to a magnet. Feature wise I can't complain, even with an old 2.0mp camera it is takes a decent shot, even video is comparable to some newer phones I have tried. To be honest, I highly doubt you will be buying it at this present time because of newer models on the market, but in general this says a lot about Motorola phones. Stylish, no lightweights feature wise, but ultimately flawed.

Just read the reviews after getting one for Xmas. Hope I do not get some of the longer-term probs, but I do find the key size an issue - when navigating left on the menu, I launch the internet browser and incur charges. As I do not surf on the phone, I solved it by getting my network to bar me fom the internet - that works, but I get messages saying my attempt has failed instead.

I have had the krzr for almost a year, during those months i have replaced the cracked front glass display ,changed the battery and currently right now my phone does not work. Its been blinking a white blank for a whole day. Its also very slow. I hate krzr they are trash. Now I have to purchAse a new phone.

I hate this phone. I have had two now since February and both times the same exact thing happens... Right in the middle of texting or making a call the screen will go blank and then the phone resets itself after a good 2-3 minutes. I am sorry but that is a LONG time to have to wait to attempt your call or text again. I would recommend looking into a different phone.

I got this phone as an upgrade about 6 months ago, but I had to pay �10 for it. In that 6 months, the problem with the wallpaper disappearing has been an almost weekly occurance, and the front is very fragile; firstly the small screen on the outside broke but NOT the glass, which had a few small scratches and dinks in it. Two weeks ago, I had it in my pocket and I think I must have clipped a table or something because I got it out and the glass had shattered in a sort of round pattern, almost like it had been shot square in the middle! Apart from the fragility issues this is a pretty good phone, however the battery isn't good, and am I the only one who has noticed that on the camera, when you point it at something red the red bit becomes pixelated on the screen, yet everything around it is ok? I am replacing this with a SE W850i next week due to it generally being a much better phone and I previously had a K750i which was fantastic

Ignore any idiot that claims this phone cracks for no reason at all, they probably stood on it or something. Had this phone for a year and am going to keep it for another as I don't think there are any nicer phones out. Takes good pictures, easy to use and most importantly, it looks amazing (as long as you don't get it in blue!)

I haven't had any problems with this phone since I purchased it about 8 months ago, but I think I will be changing to something a little more robust at upgrade time. Despite what other reviewers have said, I have found the camera to be very poor quality, although after all said and done it's a phone and I have been very happy with it's abilities as far as making/receiving calls are concerned.

Looks-wise, this is easily my favourite out of the phones I've owned.... however, I have some serious irritations with it. The camera can be activated by the side buttons, which apparently happens all the time, so most days when I check my pictures I have 10-20 photos of the inside of my pocket. This quickly mounts up, and may contribute to the second, more annoying, photo problem. The photos regularly fail to load - sometimes not accessible for days at a time - and often just trying to open them causes the phone to freeze completely. Even when it is working the picture display is NOT user-friendly to nagivate. The battery life is annoyingly low, the MP3 player takes forever to load and again music files sometimes becomeiously inaccessible. My overall experience - a stunning phone to look at but a huge let-down in terms of reliability and accessibility. It really is a shame because I loved it initially.

Ive had this phone for almost a year now, after reading other reviews i feel that I must have gotten lucky. I work in contruction, dropped the phone many many times and nothing wrong with it yet. The MP3 player works great, easy to use, I'm with ATT and the service has been more than execellent. I upgraded from a V3, yeah it was a definite upgrade, I went through 8 Black v3 in just 6 months, service never questioned always sent me a new one. But I think this phone is great and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes to have mass storage at hand and use a phone for a MP3 player.

I love this phone and it works great for me, the screen isn't cracked but I keep it in a case to protect it. I'm very sad because when I'm in a call i cant hear people talking to me because the speaker is broken and I have to take it back :(

I've had my KRZR now since December 2006. I have to admit that despite other people's reviews, this is one of the toughest phones I've had. I work as a civil engineer, so my phone travels around a lot and has to hold a reasonable charge too. Although the rubberised coating has come away a bit on the back of the phone, overall it's stood up to the challenge very well. Occasionally it hangs and it's slow to restart, but otherwise fine. :-)

I got the phone two hours ago. i loved the look. I charged the battery put in the sim and memory and waited in gleeful anticipation...I was excited as I thought it looked much the same and would perform much the same and would text the same as my old beloved V3i. No such luck. I opened the flip and all I get is a lit up screen. Blank...I mean a nice bright light but totally blank?? What use is that?? I only wanta phone that can text, call and perhaps occasionally take a pic ...not much to ask of a phone....Instead I get a..blank screen!! Blank screen all lit up well disappointed....any one got V3i to sell me?

I now have three major cracks on my krzr front screen and it hasn't seen anything but normal wear. Also, I am unable to play back any sounds on my phone which are stored with internal memory. I would not recommend this phone

I love my Krzr I don't see why everyone hates it? It has a good camera and It's durrable I dropped it 345834905 times and it still works in perfect order :]] My holds charge for a REALLY long time. One thing I don't like is I can't put my songs on there as my ringtones >__< Well I'm sure you can I just don't know how to yet. The looks are really great but it gets finger prints easy, it's not the perfect phone. Is there even such a thing as a perfect phone? :]]

Even though this phone may look stylish, and it may have a great camera it has got to be the worst mobile i've had yet! I hadn't dropped it or put any pressure onto it, but it had a crack from the top to the bottom of the front face. Also the memory isn't that good, the most songs i could fit onto it was approx. 13/14. When typing a text message or just simply looking through the menu it seemed like it didn't understand what i was asking it to do. When somebody would call me or send me a text message i wouldn't hear it ringing (and it was on the highest volume) Absolutely rubbish! Do not buy this mobile - i am looking forward to getting my new Sony Ericsson W850i, supposed to be BRILL! :D

When i first purchased this phone, it seemed like a great deal, and a great phone. It simply looks great. Gets dirty way too easily. My battery life is three hours, so I cannot go anywhere with out my charger. Now, after 6 months of owning it, the software glitches constantly. Cannot receive texts or calls. screen lights up blank, and then the phone shows no service and freezes. Recovers and does it again 30 seconds later.

I bought this phone 2 weeks ago and have already exchanged 2 times and am going in again tomorrow! the first time the screen froze on me. It went blank and did not come back on. They exchanged it for me and not the screen is making screeching sounds whenever i open up the phone. I am so disapointed because i love the look of this phone but I sure dont feel like making a trip a week to exchange it for a new one. Boo for u motorola!

I bought this phone in July and from day 1 had problems with the rear (battery/SIM) case that kept coming unclipped. I sent it back for repair but was told it would cost �55 plus VAT as the manufacturer's warranty did not cover refurbishment ......

Having just purchased this model I find I hate it already. The menus are difficult to navigate around and the software is just awful, texting is seriously weird, give me a Sony Ericsson or Nokia any time. It's the worst phone I've ever had the missfortune to own and the user guide is terrible. Fantastic phone. Only problem is the screen- it shattered within a week. It was in my pocket and must have gotten bumped. Great phone otherwise, too bad its weaker than my grandma.

I do not recommend. it is very slow, battery life sucks and my screen cracked sitting on the table. I did not drop it or anything. went to bed it was fine, woke up and it was cracked. Verizon said they had several people come in with the same problem, but unless motorola acknowledges the default they couldn't do anything!

My wife purchased this phone as an early Xmas Pressy for me from Carphone Warehouse, the first 18 days was fine. Now it won't recharge or upload photos to the computer I took the phone back to the store for an exchange under their 28 day agreement and the chap poked around for a few minutes and announced that it must have been penetrated by water? I am now left with a dud phone and �79.95 the poorer (Pay as you Go) My wife when she purchased this item was handed an unsealed box. I suspect another "Senior Citizen Rip Off". Buyer beware!

I have had this phone twice because the first time the front screen was smashed it looked awful and it's happened again to the next KRZR I got whcih I claimed of the insurance, also the side button on the right of it has fallen off but that doesn't matter as I dont use it. Also it can be slow whilst texting. The battery life is good. It looks good. Pictures and Music are great and easy to get onto.

I've had it for nearly 7 months. My only complaint so far is that the light on the front display keeps coming on all by itself for no apparent reason while it's in my pocket (or purse) thus running the battery out. I've taken it in to several Verizon stores (that's where I bought it) and none of their techies know what to do about it.

menu buttons were pressing on inside screen when closed and pressure of flick down caused screen to crack vodaphone state sales of good act irrelevant as screen cracked so my fault motorola say screen cracked so guarantee void motorola took the cash end of story avoid unless willing to go to court over it, i am being bloody minded

Had my K1 for 3 weeks. It's replaced a lost Nokia N70. As it's the first Motorola I've owned it's taken about a week to get my head round the menu structure, but I'm there now. Overall I'm very happy with this phone. I've experienced none of the fragility problems reported by others, it's stylish and has a reasonable set of features for the price.

Terrible phone - my first and last Motorola, will soon convert back to a Nokia. Screen hasn't cracked admittedly,and it does look good, but all this at the expense of: Frequent hangs, inability to hold a signal, text-averse(punishingly slow), short battery life.. the list goes on. Clearly a truimph of design over function. Hello Moto..pfff bye bye Moto.. and welcome back Nokia.

Tis phone doesnt even deserve the one star given, so take that star as a minus 1. Its absolute rubbish, nothing works, the screen cracked and then went white, thats happened on both of the phones Ive had, the first and replacement. the computer doesnt recognise it, finger prints all over it, no games except sudoko or whatever the hell its called and who wants to play that, scratches and plenty of other faults, dont get one, not even for free its just not worth the hassle, I hope motorola go bust for such a peice of ****. rubbish, junk.

(pls excuse my poor english)...just have it for 2 days and...it looks sooo sexxxxy!the keys are tiny and i keep hitting wrong keys..the camera,compared to my previous V1050 is quite good and it can take good pictures in daylight.im a sucker 4 slim,stylish devices :) the camera/video menus could be a bit easier to navigate..compared to my prev phone,its reception is decent...after all...c'mon i got it for 23 euros...(vodafone contract)..

Not a bad phone, looks good, sounds good, memory requires expansion...overall, not too bad,except for Blurtooth.....try and send or receive for more than 30 seconds and it turns off...or is it just my phone? Battery life is poor though!!!

I've had this phone for a few months and it sucks. The mp3 player is garbage it is slow. The krzr barely keeps a charge (1 day usually). Oh and it just died on me. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!

i have had this phone for about a year, and i was so impressed with it at first, but unfortunately the shell has cracked on outside and is held in place with my daughters Cbeebies stickers cos it costs around �40 to get it fixed. I like the phone tho, its stylish and smart and great mirror on outside! i have never been able to get the mp3 player to work, and tried usb connection to try get music on it, but it doesnt work, so thats disappointing, the camera is ok - there are far better cameras on other phones, i find the shutter delay really frustrating and pics are always blurred. So in all, an ok phone, but there are better ones out there!

I've never owned a Motorola before and, to say the least, I'm less than impressed. It takes ages to load up, it's difficult to store more than one number on a contacts entry, you can't use standard headphones with the mp3 player, texting is a nightmare and the shiny case always needs cleaning! My old phone (a Sharp GX25) was much better, and having got used to where the buttons were on that, this is almost impossible to use. DON'T BUY :(

I am really puzzled with all of the complaints about the sreen or glass cracking. or getting a scratch. I have bought two of these phones, (1) silver and the other blue. My girl uses the silver one. We havent had any problems with it since we have been using it sine February. Camera wise, I like the pics I have taken with it than my previous n81. By the way, the n81's phone's cam REALLY SUCKED! They say it's a 3.2MP cam but pics really look like VGA's haha! On the down side, I really can't find softwares to install on the krzr. Oh and just a thought, maybe your country's temperature or climate has got something to do with the glass' being brittle and breaking easily?

This phone is a high-maintenance phone, it does look pretty, but yes It will scratch, break, or even crack. Ebay sells the kits, and its not the easiest thing to reassemble, but it can be done. You have to make sure you dont buy the fake plastic models. Search; K1 KRZR OEM housing, and your phone will look brandnew.

My mum got is as an up grade gave it to me it is useless i could just through it against a wall i have a D900 and i wouldn't change it for any phone it the best.So she gave it to her boyfriends daughter and she likes it but i now she doesnt because she looks at it in a funny way and the only good thing about is the camera and the memory.It is usless and the battery god and i thought that the D900 was bad this is can't last a day.My mate has one as well paid �250 she says its not worth a penny of what they are selling it for even if they gave them for free nobody whould want one.LITTLE TIP NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER GET ONE !!!!!!!!!!!! I had this phone for about 2 weeks and then out all of a sudden out the blue i took the phone out of my pocket to use it and it came up with "Insert sim" so i turned the phone off and back on and it was fine then a week later it did it again but hen it kept doing all the timeto the point were now it says insert sim all the time.Took the phone back to Phones4u and they sent it off to be repaired, i heard nothing for 10 tens so i called the repair centre to see what was going off.I was told the phone could not be repaired due to liquid damage what a suprise, the phone is in perfect condition and has been no where any liquid, and they are not going to repair the phone and i have now got to pay �17.63 to get my phone back what a big con stay away and astay away from Phones4u

Side buttons moved from the flip on the RAZR to the body making them difficult to operate. Phone crashes. Camera not 1.3 and always blurs pictures. Video camera defaults to medium resolution. Software is very slow. When screen light goes off, pressing a key turns on the screen but also performs the function (careful what key you press when screen goes off). Conclusion...phone software just keeps getting worse. Last motorola I will every use.

Like everyone else i bought this for it's looks, and like everone else says the glass on the outside does break. But a replacement off of ebay is about �8 and u can find instructions off the internet on how to fit it. I've changed my entire original blue casing for black and it only took an hour some free instructons and some patience. And it looks even better now.

I have had this phone for 6 months now. I would say it is one of the worst phones that I have had. Following complaints are: front of phone has cracks which have just appeared and they spread across the phone. I have 3 friends who have found the same. Although message inbox had only 18 messages and none in outbox, unable to send messages as memory full. Screen also freezes.

The phone feels good to hold and use. The sound quality during calls is disappointing and not loud enough for a noisy environment. But, worst of all I have to confirm a 100% all complaints about fingerprints and cracks appearing out of nowhere or "out of the blue". That spoils an otherwise nice phone. Not recommended unless kept in a jewelry locker.

As far as service is concerned there is no better phone out there. This is a big issue where I live and I would say 8 times out of 10 people borrow my phone because they have no service. As far as durability is concerned maybe I just got lucky with my KRZR. I work in a hospital and this phone has lasted through lots of oopps. I have dropped it down several flights of cement stairs, it's been shut in elevator doors, and withstands the average 2 year old. Plus I can upload any song I want to for a ringtone. I am really happy with my phone overall, I am glad I bought this phone. My ony complaint is the camera could take a better picture.

Had to replace a broken one recently, and the new upgraded version SUCKS!!! I sent 1 back as the software was awful, couldn't see any of the menus on the homepage screen... Slow to access anything, and most annoying was the message 'memory full' coming up after recieving only 18 text messages!! terrible. I had it replaced with another brand new one, checked the software was up to date, but Exactly the same thing happened. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HANDSET!! i'm waiting to replace another one this week or change to adifferent phone entirely.

had it some months now and seems to be a bit average. the camera wasn't as good as some of its competitors and is now broken. i don't like it how the phone is very similar to the razer, its basically the same in a new shell with a better camera. the memory is small and the memory card slot is now broken on mine so i don't have much room for music anymore. the screen gets the print of the buttons on it because it is so easily marked and the phone snaps shut hard. overall i would say the phone is ok if you're more bothered about form than function, but its not worth the �250 rrp.

I have had this phone for one and a half moths now.. i really like it! but i do think that they can improve a few things on the phone.. i think that the look is AMAZING, and i like how it works. the cons with this phone is that it really is incredibly slow with the texting.. it cant keep up and i have to wait for it! i also think that motorola could have done a better job with the camera. everyone seems to think it is amazing... but my brother has an LG shine and thats better! but overall i think it is really good!

The phone looks sleek and I (used to) get a lot of compliments on it. However, the outer glass covering recently got many hairline fractures and shattered. I have only had this phone for a few months. Also, it has a very slow response time to commands. Freezes often. Love the look, not so pleased with the performance... dont buy it.

hmmmm...not impressed!! years of nokia, thought i would have a change, BAD DESCISION! It looks great on the outside, likin the blue, but it aint enough, the keypad is awkward to use, no good shortcuts, the camera isnt great, the web facility has never worked, mp3 player gives of very grainy sound, pictures wont delete, photos wont send, very tempremental phone, no crack on screen as reported by others, but gets smudgy very easily, just BAD BAD phone, back to nokia. sorry motorola, its goodbye moto.

I fell in love with the Krzer cause it was sleek and stylish. I wanted a phone that would also double as my mp3 player but I also wanted one that wasn't trendy. I've been mostly happy with the phone. I like that you put your own memory card in so I can have different music on different cards. But as soon as you try to do anything other than just make phone calls my troubles began. My phone is slow. I don't know if its because I have too many texts and pictures saved. When I text or make a call, it takes forever. It reminds me the old days of dial up internet in that I click a button then wait, wait, wait, ok go. Also it briefly freezes randomly sometimes. Maybe mine has a software glitch, maybe the phone is just slow. I don't like that when I'm listening to music, I can't do anything else. I wish I could put the music on and then send a text message or use the camera. Sometimes the jack doesn't recognize that I've plugged in headphones and it plays the sound through the speaker. And you need special headphones that are not inexpensive. All in all, its ok. You trade a little function for a little style.

Great looking phone, feels nice in the hand, slim, slight, strong - but freezes all the time. Slow to change from application to application within the OS. Too many glitches. Went to the KRZR after having a RAZR for almost 2 years....RAZR had exactly the same issues, and I thought that by now they would have sorted out the software issues....but no. 6 months in with the KRZR and it's the same issues. VERY DISAPPOINTING Motorola!!

nightmare trying to get the internet side of this phone to work. 413 page cannot be displayed messages abound. As a phone for calls and texts it works okay but that is pretty much it. Glass is a magnet for fingerprints. Screen can show lines from the keypad. Would not advise anyone buying this phone.

I just bought the phone last week, I had the same problem with the battery that wont charge. I made the initial charging of 13 hours, (as I was instructed). But even so, the phone battery didn't last even for a day. It only lasted for 2-4 hours. It was a hassle because I use my phone mainly for calling. I had to return it back to the store to have my phone evaluated. My phone was reformatted and the battery was drained and charged again. Then after that, everything is working fine.. I also have the same problem with hitting the wrong keys.. Each key have really small spaces so I tend to hit the wrong key. Other than that everything works cool. I like the style and the over-all apperance. Everyone at work likes it.

HAVE ONLY HAD THE PHONE FOR 3 DAYS AND THE GLASS HAS CRACKED. THE ONLY PLACE IT HAS BEEN IS IN MY POCKET OR IN THE BOX SO MUST BE A POOR DESIGN OR USE OF MATERIAL. My problem with it is that one day, i was texting, on low battery, it crashed, so i took the battery out cause i needed the power that was left! when i put the battery in to try and turn it on again, it didnt turn back on, i thaught "oh shoot, it used the last bit of batter" but NO! when i got home, i plugged it into the charger, and the screen lit up white, then the keypad lit up, then the keypad went off again, and the screen went off, and this keeps repeating itself! what do i do with this might aswell be brick aka KRZR?? any advice?? I have one of these phones have had for 7 month. Its an excellent phone. No hair line cracks of any kind are you all standing/throwing this phone to make this happen??? with all the moto phones I have had through the years this is the best. It could do with a few more themes & couple better dance type ring tones & all phones should get rid of all the annoying bell tones etc & just store one for the alarm. Hands free is clear & loud the buttons are not hard to press & I have long nails! so if I can do it ya'll can. Battery life is standard I am on the phone either txt or calling & if fully charged will last 4 days or more, on all my phones once first bought I will charge & discharge till dies to get battery quality.My phone has never froze on me nor has the screen went black or anything.I have had no problem with the memory but you can buy extra if needed. All in all I have no problems with my phone.

The reception on this phone is hopeless, it loses signal for long periods of time in areas where my old Motorola V525 worked well. I won't be keeping it long enough to find out if the glass is going to crack, although I already suspect that it may have some of the software problems identified by other users.

Phone was great 'til England hit summertime, and surely every phone in Britain has suffered from a moisture rich environment recently. (including my old Nokia which I am forced to use now as Motorola won't change this K1 phone). I say, it's a design fault and it's not fit for purpose if I can't make calls. My old nokia has practically been round the world with me on sailing trips and is still "old faithful". Would I take this Motorola with me sailing? Nah! I wouldn't take it for a walk round the park pond unless it immersed in silica gel sacs! Well done Motorola. you seriously hack-off your customer for the sake of replaceing a dodgy phone! Nokia here I come ,even though your predictive texting isn't as good.

Phone would be ok if it wasn't for a fault that Motorola are not able to fix, been back 2 times and they want it back again. They blamed the sim card which was relaced and did not curer it. They say they do not replace phones under warranty, and when you talk to them it's like talking to a machine. So if you get a fault beware.

I have finally managed to break this phone, after leaving it in my pocket and putting it through the washing machine... I cycle a lot (200 - 300 miles per week) and I love the way it fits in the back pocket of my jersey and it always just works. Yes, the wallpaper sometimes disappears (I find taking out the battery ie a hard reboot always works) and the bluetooth headset often won't initiate a voice activated call unless I open the phone 1st, but the unintuitive menu system really isn't an issue - just use the voice commands eg "Go to camera". Anyway, after many sweaty miles it just worked, after accidentally leaving out overnight during torrential rain (slipped between my pocket and the race number pinned on my back - missed my pocket!) and finding it half buried in shale it just worked - though there was a crack in the glass.....! Battery life is pretty decent - I make 1 or 2 calls a day + a couple of texts ie a pretty light user, and I only charge it once a week. Am I going to buy another to replace it? I'm sorely tempted ;)

My KRZR is driving me mad! Im having problems with the voicemail alerts - It only alerts me to messages when it feels like it! Its so temperamental. Sometimes i get an alert & sometimes i dont. I have had messages sitting in my voicemail for 4 days before i even knew they were there, & i only found out because i was questioned days later about not responding to it. Phones 4 U tried to blame the service provider, but surely it must be the handset that is the problem? I also find it quite slow when scrolling through the phone book.

my krzr screen freezes on a weekly basis until i check it or try to call out. and it screen is now cracked. out of the 11 phones i have had i have never done this much damage to a phone. steer clear and wait for the razr2 v8 or v9.

i,ve had this phone for about 6 mnths now and i have to say its a great phone. however the problem with this phone is that its slightly slow. when opening up an application it may take a few sec approx 7 sec the texting is also slow but its a great phone, camera is excellent without flash its very small and easy to hold. the other disadvantages of this phones is that the speaker sometimes goes low then high. and when charging the phone and wanting to use it at the same time it is very difficult cause you cannot hold onto the phone properly unless if your left handed.

Well, I ve heard loads of ghastly and dreadful stories about the K1. mainly how fragile that phone was, nightmares with screen cracking and god knows what about fingerprints.. anyway, I accidently found one brand new on the bus 2 weeks ago.. no name, not even a place where to bring it back to.. it was still in its original box so.. I decided to keep it . Well.... what can i say . The phone does look great.. does have a nice sound and is quite clear when I use it . I ve tried the MP3 feature and it's fine.. Not brilliant but fine . I put a crystal hard case around it to protect it and so far, I ve been lucky but that phone does work great. I use it in alternance with my good old RAZR V3i, and I m quite glad with it.. The unique problem for me is how small the keypad is.. Insanity ! You do need a magnifying glass to press a key and very often I end up going on the internet when all i want is send an sms.. That is a bit of a nuisance if I may say. Other than that, for a phone.. it does deliver what it s designed for..

My screen cracked as well for no reason they just appeared one day and then another and then finally one day holding it the screen literally shattered like a car window that had been hit by a rock. And yes they said it was my fault - I am not sure whether to bother repairing it or just saying forget it and getting a new phone

I have had my phone a motorola krzr k1 for sometime now and I love it. I have always been a serial mobile phone buyer going ffrom one to the next, but I feel that I can settle down with this phone. I am over the moon with it, and, touch wood, I have not had a problem with it yet.

I have this phone but I got silver it's great as a mirror, but the camera is poor, bluetooth is broken and recently I had taken it in for repair. They failed to repair my phone, so I looked at ones on the market and I phoned up T.mobile and asked for one in pink. They said they don't supply the phone anymore because it got numerous complaints.

hi i got this on my 11th birthday. it is a very good phone for its price.there is only one thing i dont like about it, the screen is a tad smaller than other motorola phones. it is a slim adn good looking phone.it is extremely good. the quality of the camera is good(2mp). i am 11yrs old and its is good for children like me and adults.

I have had my KRZR now since february and it works fine! It is the best phone I have had and the camera is great! By the way, the review was wrong about the video, if you go into video setup when in the video mode, you can change the quality and recording length and resolution. To get better quality, a memory card is needed! I have downloaded games onto it and used Bluetooth with it also. The other wrong thing with the review is that it doesn't have infered, because Infered on phones is something that was out over 6 years ago (my first phone, the Nokia 6210 had infered), so because this is a new phone, it will only have new features! Software is slow and I have had so many finger marks on the screen and a fair few scratches, so the phone has lot some of its good looks, but apart from this, a very good phone!

Wth Verizon USA I had to get phone replaced every month for varies software and hardware problems. Would freezup poor reception .. After 5 tries I gave up and went to AT&T. Currently hve RAZR V3xx so far I'm impressed..

Agree with most comments. Very poor build quality, Front screen cracked on the first week for no apparent reason. The case looks dirty all the time and it scratches very easily. Dont think it will last to the end of my contract!. The V3 was a much better phone.

I too got this as an upgrade for my V3 which I loved. I didn't get on with it at first as Motorola have located 'select' on the other side of the screen so I kept exiting messages/calls instead of viewing them. Haven't really had any other probs. However I only had it a few weeks when I took it out of my jeans pocket and it was cracked all the way through the mirrored screen; I hadn't dropped it or anything. Bit disappointing as now it looks a bit tatty.

I am very happy with my phone but I have to say that there are faults that now that I know about them would make me think twice if I had to recommend it. The glass cracking of the front cover is a very big disappointment. The other reason is that I lost all messages when I had to take out the battery for a short while.

Had my KRZR for six months.A slight broke the lense, but more to the point it stopped reacting to the network although it showed top signal. Shame since most of the phone is good. The camera is quite acceptable, the MP3 is a pest to navigate unless you make playlists. It will need to go for a six week insurance repair at �25, see how long it lasts next time.

i had this mobile for 2 days i payed �185 for it from o2 shop and it broke it woude not send texts and it woude not hold its battey it lholded aproxmey 6 hours of battey i took it back and they said its becuse it was used thats why it was so cheap! so they gave me �100 0f my money back so i sold it to a mate for �10 after spending nealey �200 on parts for it in the end it finaley worcked so i bought a new one for �245.99 new this time!!! and after 2 weeks the same thing happend so i took it back agin they said at they woude only give me �50 back as it had 1 tiny marck on it so i sold it to a second hand phone job they gave me �20 evan nkow they did not worck dont buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111

I Just got it today and as its my first motorola so having some trouble texting i keep pressing the wrong buttons! the only bad points i have at the moment are that you have to ask for a delivery report for every single txt whereas every other phone ive had you can just programme it in to do it automaticly and i cant seem to get my words to save when i txt which is starting to get to me! if im just being stupid can someone email me and let me know what to do loo_loo556@hotmail.com thanks

Upgraded to this phone as my previous Motorola Razr was falling apart and kept freezing every so often. Was pleased when the new Motorola KRZR K1 arrived but unfortunately it took only a matter of hours before I was on the phone to Orange to send it back. The Motorola KRZR K1 freezes up everytime I try to use it. Strange thing is, I made a point of asking Orange whether it was likely to have the same fault as my previous phone to which the answer was no. Its literally unusable. This phone is the supermodel of phones...looks wondeful but practically useless. Safe to say that i will not own this phone long enough to see if cracks appear in the glass.

Hello; This phone I used in conjunction with my MacBook Pro. Using only the system features of Mac Os X I can transfer files via bluetooth and USB. The sound quality is good for me. And when listening music with the headphones is fantastic inside quiets rooms. But when the exterior noise is great must push the headphones to my ears. The Camera is very good in 1x zoom. Except in low light conditions. The contras, are related to the phone software. For example: Can't open the Calendar during a call. That feature is very useful when schedule your agenda. Other thing in the low possibilities to personalize the phone, there aren't themes or skins to download and install directly to the phone.

nutting but trouble. Get zero reception in my house (that used to be at least half and never had trouble making/takign a call) and at least two bars less than my mates everywhere else, despite all being the same carrier. Taken it back 3 times now. once they replaced a whole bunch of parts, the next time they said there was nothing wrong with it. Returned again but if they give it back again looks like im stuck with paying $40 a month for a clock. Woo hoo.

I bought this phone on eBay from HongKong for my daughter in Nov 2006..it failed in March 2007..when she opens or shuts the phone the screen goes white or garbled..my first mistake was buying it, my second mistake was ringing Motorola Australia who out of "courtesy" offered to fix it even though it was an overseas phone.The Motorola service agent replaced the main flex to the LCD. The phone worked for 3 weeks and now has the same problem again.Now the FUN part...Motorola Australia wont repair it , the Motorola agent who did the original repair wont touch it without a Motorola Australia repair order..And when I emailed Hong Kong he said that Motorola Hong Kong probably will not repair it because it has been opened by a non Motorola Hong Kong agent ..If I had sent it to Hong Kong in the first place maybe it would have been ok..but how many times was I going to have to pay to keep posting it back to HongKong?? Anyway I think they are just a faulty model that will ke ep breaking down...and you will never get reasonable sevice from Motorola !

We all now how hard and tricky it can be when we get a new phone and trying to work out what button does what e.t.c but once u have a good old play about its just like any other phone and easy to manage. Not only that but how stylish is this mobile- its so sleek and sexy you just cant stop but flash it about! i dont want to recommend the phone too much as im loving flashing my phone around with people in vein.

I absolutely hate this phone. it was sitting on my countertop when, for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON it exploded into tiny shards. i called motorola about this and they told me they could send me a replacement but it would cost me. totally unfair since i did nothing to it it just blew up into tiny pieces for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON.

I recently bought this phone on contract and am fairly disappointed with its quality. The camera does not come with flash and camera quality itself is fairly poor. The media player on the phone doesn't allow you to listen to your music and use other applications at the same time; for example text messaging. I have preivously had sony ericssons, samsung and have currently got a nokia 6300. I would not recommend this phone to anyone who wishes to use it for a camera or a music player. The only thing positive about this phone is that it looks funky and battery life is fairly average

I have never had to replace a phone so frequently. I bought the krzr in March, had to replace it in June and now it needs replacing again! The same problem has occurred, a lack of sound. The first time it needed replacement the sound wouldn't work when I received a text. Now, the sound won't work when certain people call. I have had trouble listening to the ringtones that are on my phone. All of them have a lock sign on them. I love the style of the phone but it has been nothing but a hassle.

I love Motorola phones. I just replaced by razer with this phone. I had my razer for two years. I had dropped it many many times and it was once placed in water. It still worked. My razer was scratched, the glass on the front cracked and it still worked. My previous phones did not last more then one year. If this phone is as tough as my razer, I will always own a motorola. My sister lost her razer one winter, when spring came and the snow melted, her razer was found outside. When they picked it up, water poured from it. She let it dry for a week, charged it up and it worked! two years later she still uses this phone. My previous non motorola phones broke because of water damage. The water damaged was caused from leaving it in the car and the temperture changes!!

This phone looks good (one of the reasons i bought it) but i can't wait to get a new phone. it never sends a text message first time, even though it has full signal, and it can hardly ever make a call first time, luckily i've not needed to make a 999 call. Yes it looks good but thats about it. oh, it does have a good battery life, but thats probably because i can hardly ever use it cos it won't send messages. My first and last motorola if this phone is anything to go by.

I love the phone, with the following exceptions: 1) that infamous crack in the outside glass; it started to crack towards the camera lens, so I intentionally made it crack back towards the edge; 2) the volume could be louder; and 3) the contact groups could allow more names per group type. Otherwise, I'm enjoying it's features.

Not impressed with this phone. I purchased it because of sleek design and features (especially liked that it had a speaker phone). My screen cracked after 9 days. I took it back to the store where they had told me I could return it for 15 days for ANY reason. I was told that I could not return it because it wasn't in "like new" condition. How about stating that when you sell it to the customer? The girl had said I could return it for ANY reason within 15 days. Well, clearly not if the phone has a design defect. I assumed that it was just me having this problem, but after reading these reviews, I realize there truly is something wrong with this phone. I bought a Vskin to cover the crack (costed another $17, but if I got to carry this thing around for another 2 years I'd rather have the crack covered). What really upset me was the way I was treated by the sales associate when I went to return the phone. He told me that if I bought a TV and cracked the screen that I would be able to return it (a statement I do not agree with). I told him that I did not abuse or neglect the phone or do something to purposely crack the screen. I told him the reason I was returning the phone was because I didn't like the performance of the phone and that the crack was now another incentive to take it back (come on, I only had it 9 days). He then told me that if I purchased a car and crashed it, I wouldn't be able to return it. I explained to him once again (this time not so nicely) that I hadn't thrown the phone or done something to purposely crack it. I was insulted that he spoke to me the way he did and found it belittling that he thought I couldn't tell the difference between a defect in the material and neglect or abuse on my part. I told a manager what this employee had said to me. He said it was unacceptable that this individual spoke to me this way, but did not offer me any sort of compensation to repair customer relations and the employee was not reprimanded because I didn't know his name (although I knew the individual who had helped me before this man who I am sure could have identified the culprit. They do work together in the same store.) I can't stand that I can't delete the default pictures that are stored in the phone and using up the memory of the phone. I also can't stand the speaker phone. I used to have an LG phone with a great speaker phone. Now I can barely hear the other person when I use the speaker phone because the sound only comes out of the mouth piece when you put it on speaker mode. For some odd reason, the ear piece stops emitting sound when you put it on speaker phone.

I don't like the phone. It may look stylish but it is very difficult to use. Because it is so narrow it is difficult to text. When you are writing a text and you get a phone call you are likely to loose the text. Unlike Nokia phones you have to explicity save the text as a draft. Becuase of the size of the keypad I have often inadvertly hit the wrong button and sent a half written text to someone which always necessitates a follow on phone call. I would not recommend you buy this phone.

This fone is great I would really recommend it. It looks really good and has a good camera. The only problem I had was that it would not charge but then I charged it up well 2 nights in a row and it worked fine after that.

Ive had this phone for about 5 months now and so far havnt suffered the hairline cracks other reviewers have mentioned despite chucking it about a bit. Gorgeous mirrored finish which looks great and useful too! I havnt been able to get the PC software to work even after a couple of attempts. Text messaging is a pain as the dictionary is pretty empty and doesnt seem to 'learn'. I find battery life to be ok; not great but not bad. Lots of memory. I would defiantely recommend it on looks alone and no substantial problems with it as yet!

WELL I BOUGHT THE MOTOROLA K1 ON SATURDAY (TODAY IS MONDAY) I WASN'T TOO CRAZY ABOUT IT WENT I FIST GOT IT BECAUSE I KNEW IT WOULDN'T BE PERFECT OR RELIABLE AS I HAD THE MOT V3 BEFORE THAT AND THE MOPBILE PHONE JUST WENT BLANK AND TURNED OFF AND REFUSED TO TURN BACK ON. ON SUNDAY MORNNG AFTER CHARGING THE PHONE I WAS GOING THROUGH THE SETTINGS AND NOTICED THAT TWO OF THE SCREENS SEEMED BROKEN/SMUDGED AND THIS IS WHAT STARTED TO HAPPEN TO MY PREVIOUS MOTO PHONE, SO I RETURNED THE MOBILE AND EXCHANGED IT FOR ANOTHER HANDSET BUT THE SAME MAKE. I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED AS THIS PHONE WAS MEANT TO BE MUCH MORE BETTER THAN THE V3.

It�s an excellente phone. Regarding the glass cover, ell you have to be very careful, it does not bother me since I take good care of technology gadgets. It�s slim, and very nice handling.

I am a true customer using this phone. I am satisfied with the phone. As we all know, all phones have their positives and negatives. But the features committed by Mototorola for this phone works. I suppose that what we were all looking for when we bought the phone. scratches and cracks will come in any thing which is other than a Sapphire crystal... (thats what I was told). So scratches and cracks depend on the usage. In short a decent phone. No need to regret if you own one.

Awful phone!! keep going onto orange world without realising as keys too close together and I have little fingers! Also screen cracked when it was just sitting on my kitchen table!! Orange said it was a fault with these phones but suprise suprise they won`t replace it until the screeen cracks completely and you can`t use the bloody thing!!!!!

Had the phone for about 7 months no problems at all, then suddenly for no apparent reason the glass front has cracked across the screen!!!! I can live with the cracked screen, but now worried that dust will get inside and ruin the phone.

I am on my second KRZR and already experiencing the same problem on the second phone: The phone will freeze for no apparent reason and without warning and will not receive or make phone calls, even though it's on and looks perfectly fine. I only realize there is a problem when I notice that I have messages in my voicemail box, when I've had the phone with me all along without it ringing. I am also unable to make outgoing calls until I turn it off, which resets the phone and then it is working fine until the next time this happens. I sent the first one back because of this issue and now I am having the same problem with the second one. Stay away from this phone until they work all the glitches out.

got a new Motorola KRZR K1 yest. Nice phone, txting is a bit odd but have a problem that no one else seems to know about not even the company i bought it from! When you put the camera on and close the phone to take a self portrait (not that i take many might i add!) the smart key on the side doesnt take the pic!? The button works when you press it for PTT and the zoom buttons work fine and even when you have the camera timer on it takes a good pic. Any ideas?? Have looked thru all the settings and still cant figure it out. Know what you mean about the fingerprints already!!

great phone, purchased it this week i have no problems with it even though i read so much reviews of people's screen cracking etc this phone is too amazing to disagree with. The phone is also too cheap! its great you can get updated software whereas the surface can get all smudged up! I think the pros beat the cons. Motorola is an excellent company in MY opinon. :]

Can't understand the poor reviews as this phone is excellent! I bought mine from ebay in December so it wasn't even brand new but have had absolutely no problems with it. Easy on the eye and a lovely sleek size. The camera, despite not having a flash is adequate, sometimes, the photos are clearer than ones that I take with my 5 megapixel digital camera! Not used the mp3 player as I have an ipod but truetone ringtones sound brilliant. All in all, this is a phone I'll be keeping for a while and my colleague copied me and got one too!

i've had this fone for nearly 6 months now.. looks good as i have the KRZR in the silver.. so sleek and fabulous!! so far the battery and fone hasnt let me down yet( althoough i have heard bout alot of problems with motorola fones).. great to connect to computer and type there..not too keen on the texting with the thumb( abit slow ).. would love to have the KRZR K3

hiii.. dis fone is nice but only prlm is dat it requires a lot of care which young people like me cant give. one day suddenly i found my k1's screen shattered.which is not replacable or very costly. messaging is slow. screensaver gone wen we switch on after along time. though its an costly fone its not worth it .. i ll not recommend it at all..

Great looker, no problems so far. Battery seems to last forever. Yes the screen gets covered in finger prints! Doesn't like to sync with phone tools. Scared me to death when my son sent a text and it played his ring tone! Took ages to figure out that to use a picture for a contact you have to load your numbers into the phone (and then turn off the display of numbers on the SIM to avoid duplication). Still wonder if a Samsung D900 would have been a better bet, but was so expensive compared to this beauty.

had nokia and samsung phones before and was not sure about the K1 after a lot of friends had V3 phones and said how slow they are with bluetooth transfer, was convinced by the shop to buy it!! Its not a bad phone except the screen!! it cracks on its own but according to motorola they had never heard of it before!! would i buy another? no i'd go back to samsung

This is a great phone! I got it today in blue and it's wicked!!! It has really good features and it look soooo nice! Plus, the shiny front can be used as a mirror! The ONLY bad point is that when you shut the phone (flip down) and leave it for a while, it makes a mark from the keys, but can easily be rubbed off. Overall, this phone is excellent and if you are not sure whether to buy it or not, then I say just go for it!!!!!

i have this phone and i have found no worries with it! i would recomend people to buy this phone it is little weight it is very good looking and has some very awesom features on it! i think this is an all around good phone and as for the glass smashing i have never hurd of that before but it is a good point but this can be replaced by simple buyin a new cover or if ou dont want to waste the money on new covers simple TAKE CARE OF IT! cheers! I think this phone is excellent. It is very stylish. The fingermarks wipe right off and it is easy to use. Texting is very easy with the buttons that are raised up. The camera is alright but thats why people have digital cameras. Haven't used the mp3 player since I own an iPod. I recommend the phone to anybody looking for something sleek and attractive

I have had the K1 now for four months and so far have not had any cracks or scratches on the screen. I have however had one very annoying problem, I have a lot of trouble hearing what the other person is is saying during a conversation (especially outside) as the phone picks up a lot of back ground noise. The camera is OK. The interface is slow sometimes. This is only the second Motorola I have had as I usually buy Nokia and I will be going back to Nokia in the future. I am not very impressed with this phone, but I have to keep it as I am on a 24 month contract. Has anyone else noticed the problem I mentioned about the back ground noise?

Looked great for a couple of months until the screen cracked. Also, mirror-like surface smears and scratches very easily. Phone is absolutely fine function wise but looks are important! Rang place I got it from to be told they can do nothing. Going to buy a new phone.

I have had my KRZR K1 2 months now with no problems plus I am a builder so my phone needs to be fairly robust but i do look after my phones,I had the ROKR E1 previously so am used to the Motorola menu and text which I did find confusing at first but soon got the hang of it. I do agree that you can press the wrong button easily especialy iy you have big fingers like mine, but overall I am very pleased with it and would say buy one but try out the keypad first to see if it suits your fingers.

All i can say for you careless people is that screens do no creak for no reason. I don't care if you're an engineer, a skeptic or a telekentic. You're just being stupid and careless. It has a GLASS SCREEN on the outside. Read the product description before you buy it. If it is placed down too hard on a table, it could crack. It is a very thin piece of glass too. Its fragile, take care of your phone, or get the new rugged Verizone G'zOne Type - V if you're that careless. That thing is a tank.

The bad reviews in this collection are a bit scary. The topmost review mentions the KRZR K1 can hold 2G external memory (microSD), but the motorola website and help desk says the phone can work with up to 1G. So I'll only buy a 1G card. I've only had the phone 2 weeks. PC based software is OK for phone contacts, but I battled with putting mp3(music) and jpg(pictures) files on the phone using it. Easier to take the chip out and download using a USB/SD/microSD connector from my PC. Otherwise phone looks smart, it works and has loads of whizzy features I have yet to discover.

I bought the motorola krzr in February as a major upgrade from my previous LG. I seem to have a penchant for choosing the worst phones from a durability standpoint. I.E. I bought the phone February 17th, and by February 27th, I had already returned the phone for a replacement because the phone had a horrible delay between functions. It was briefly remedied by powering off and turning back on but the problem persisted later that day. Now it is May and I have had the same problems with the delay, only worse and now my battery life is horrendous. I take it to work and 6 hours later, sitting idle, the phone is completely dead. If I had the choice to get an entirely new phone, I would. Do not buy this phone.

Seriously don't bother. This phone is diabolicle. Its slow and i have often finished typing text messages before they have come up on the screen. The screen is cracked as has other peoples i know. Motorola still hasn't recognised this as a design flaw. If i was you i would stick to the sony ericsson walkman phones they are miles better

had my K1 for 3 months now & very happy with it. I had read a lot of reports that the screen would crack easily but ("touch wood") not so far! I also asked quit a few dealers about this but perhaps unsurprisingly they all swore blind that they had never heard of this problem! Ive also asked motorola about it & of coures never even got a reply!!! However i do like the phone tho. i also liked my V3 but it also had a problem in that the screen got dust behind it all the time. Come on moto treat your customers better & they will be loyal to you!

Great looking phone but suddenly the display packed up! Fortunately?!! it was within 28 of purchase and I was able to exchange it without quibble (Orange contract). I just hope the replacement proves more durable and that the other problems highlighted for with this phone don't occur!

The design rocks, the camera is brill but although its gr8 there are some faults, because when i use the camara the charge goes down and it fingerprints very easily. But altogether its a fantastic phone and i recomend it!

I just recieved my phone this morning ive been playing around with it most of the afternoon, I think it is a very easy phone to use. The camera aint the best but is good enough, volume is a little bit low when recieving a call, but apart from that its a cool phone with good looks.

i have the moto krzr k1 and i think it is quite a good phone it has all the things i need 2 megapixel camera it looks stylish and stands out from the crowd. but there are some disadvantages when the phone is closed the front screen is very sensitive if i just touch it once it gets really dirty and i have to clean it but apart from that the phone is quite good.

Having only spoken fluent Nokia my whole mobile-life, but being unimpressed with their current, rather pedestrian-looking, range, I took the plunge and tried a Motorola. It looks great and (so far, touch wood) I haven't experienced the screen-crack problems that seem so common with this model. Texting is undeniably more awkward (and the constant default to the 'iTap' predictive text mode v. annoying) but that I can live with. What is a REAL pain is my never having been able to access the browser (keep being told 'connection unsuccessful') so I'm unable to download a ringtone that I've paid for, since the link sent to my inbox needs net access. Nor am I ever able to send MMS messages, either text only or those containing photos (it sticks on 'Sending 0%' until it eventually gives up and tells me it couldn't send the message). Being new to Motorola, can anyone tell me if it should just be an accepted expectation that 'if you're lucky, some of your features may work, though most may not - just live with it'? Incidentally, I haven't even tried to work with the PC phone tools, since on attempting to load the software my PC system warned me that the software being loaded was likely to do serious damage, so I aborted that mission pronto! I wouldn't say definitely avoid this one (as its size and looks add brownie points), but if you're looking for a phone which does EVERYTHING twhat it says on the box, certainly you should approach with caution...

A nice little phone, VERY trendy but doesnt really excel in any area. As said already, rather hard to text with, input is slow and I'm always pressing the wrong buttons. If only Motorola had done something with the menu system, for me - its just a little irritating.

Bought the KRZR about three months ago. I am very careful with electronics in general. One day, a fine crack simply appeared on the outer glass, running diagonally from the unsupported edge. Yes, I noticed that the bottom edge of the glass has no support. Did you ever frame a picture on three sides only? Moto did. I sent it in for repair under warranty. Moto returned it and said I could send it back with $75 and they would fix it. They said that I abused the phone. Goodbye Moto. I will use the cracked thing until I can replace it with a well-made and well-designed product from another manufacturer. Moto will see no more of my money.

My KRZR arrived this morning, and man I should have looked at these reviews first!!! I also went from a V3 to and apparent 'upgrade' and was bitterly dissapointed. The buttons are so small I really struggle to text. The fact it has no flash is appauling, along with the crammed look of the contacts list. The Bluetooth never picks up anything and the smudging on the front screen is extremely annoying! I will be taking this back on Sat and going for the Nokia 6288. Much more fun and easy to use!

After seeing the advertising surrounding this phone and knowing a few friends with RAZR V3's I Thought it would be a good phone. Sadly It does not live up to the usual motorola standards the screen tends to crash a lot going white and wont switch off unless you remove the battery! The memory card has lost data (photograph's and downloaded games) there is no slide show with photographs as was on the RAZR etc. I could list its faults from now to Christmas but generally it is an overall let down and not a patch on the RAZR V3.

Had this phone for about 6 months. Not had any problems what so ever. I love the text feature where it remembers words that you have used before which to me is better than predictive text. The case is still in good condition yes it has a few scrathes but I have dropped it quite a few times.

After reading all the bad comments on this site about the krzr I wondered if I had made a mistake ordering one from Vodaphone. I chose this phone because the V3 Razor was the best phone I had used since my excellent Sony Z7 died. I received the phone on Tuesday. Battery charged with no problems, keeps it's charge, in fact it still has 2 bars after 4 day use. Screen has not as yet cracked (But I am still worried about that), no problems transferring files by USB in fact lots faster than the V3, Bluetooth works OK, and again better than other phones I have used. Over all I am very pleased with the krzr at the moment, as with the V3 the contact list could do with a search function.But that is minor as any comparisons about general phone usage or texting is compared with the Sony Z7 which means it has a lot to live up to. Being honest I cannot even complain about finger prints as many have, at least the muck can be wiped off and is not absorbed as with other phone cases making them look grubby. I don't think the phone is the problem, I suspect Motorola have a quality control problem so the good ones are great, but to many substandard ones escape detection. - it gets 5 stars unless the screen cracks!

Hi .Had the K1 for over 4 months now and its brilliant .The have been no scratches or cracks .I got it it in silver because the blue one is not my liking .The camera is brilliant and has brilliant Storage .I picked it up before christmas for �160.00 wish i would have waited now. I chose this ph over other Samsung and Nokia models because of the unconventional design and colour (red wine...), the ph has a chin! I love the look, first time using a motorola ph, nothing beats the utility of samsung (press a number once, not scroll down many times) but am getting used to the ph OK. downloaded 3 songs and wont take anymore, so will have to buy a 2gig! one brand i'd never buy is sony ericsson

Had the phone for a day and dropped it lightly. Now it doesn't work. I'm going to take it back to costco and get a different one.

Was going to get this phone until I read most of the reveiws on this page! My friend has this fone and wen her screen broke she ddnt tell her mum cos she thought it was her fault! Now i am going to tell her that this is a common fault and NOT her fault. It is a shame Motorola will not accept the fact that this is a common problem as fixing it is expensive! Now i've just got to decided between the LG chocolate and the Nokia 7373, I think it'll be the Nokia - they r so reliable!!

I love this phone! iv only had it a few days but so far so good, im not sure why so many people seem to have so much trouble with it. txting is NOT that complicated, ok if your used to a particular model of phone but it just about getting used to the differences but i think its realy straight foward & iv never used a moto before. Only bad thing i can seem to find is that txting is a bit slow & it sometimes has trouble keeping up with me but thats something i can live with. & it does fingerprint easlily but its hardly alot of effort to just give it a wipe then its perfect again-& to stop scratches they've got protective cases on ebay that do the job perfectly! other that everything is perfect, i have an ipod so only use music for ringtones & the camera is good, shame theres no flash but again, ive got an awsome digi camera anyway so not that bothered. If you want a phone that looks really sexy & does the job well this is the one for you! i would def reccommend it. :)

the battary is rubbish so if you intend 2 use the phone like i do then make sure u always have the charger with you apart from that a phones a phone

firstly, it should be noted that you do not need to register here to post comments. Looking at the other phones' comments it seems that many people are 'venting'. Phones these days are designed for market segments. The K1 is clearly designed for folk who mostly want to phone, but in a stlyish package. This joins the V3, LG chocolate, Nokia 6370, and a whole range of other phones in the same category. In that category, for me, the K1 is a clear leader. Its small, looks stunning and the phone calls are clear and crisp. The A2DP (bluetooth stereo) function is an interesting addition. The camera is not as good as the sony k750i (equiv. 2mp), but then I have my canon 400d with 17-85IS lens, so I don't give a d***

Bought the KRZR 30 days ago. Think it's cool, it plays music thru the speakers in my car after 3 adapters and has the memory card slot, but the front glass panel is cracked completely, I had no idea it was glass! Not a good idea, Motorola. Not under warranty, can't sell it on eBay, like I did my RAZR of 1+ years (was tough as nails and looked/worked as good as the day I bought it). Who wants to pay $300 for a cracked phone? Well, I did. Weak.

Great phone, had it for 4 months, no problems. I am used to Nokia menu styles etc, and tried a Sony-Eric and found it very un-intuitive. So I was worried about switching to a Moto, but in fact it has been very easy to get used to. 4 stars, though, because of very unprofessional, non-standard software, and the fact that it can't be charged through USB unless the software is installed! That ruins what would otherwise be a great feature - the ability to charge the phone through any PC or USB charger.

I've had this phone for about 4 months now and I am fairly happy with it. No cracks and only small scratches, but those are entirely my fault - it's been dropped several times and it's always knocking keys etc in my bag. Have recently started using MP3 and although it's nothing like a Sony Ericsson, it does the job and I think the sound quality is really good. My only problem with it is the texting. I am a fairly fast texter, but not super speed! However, phone has trouble keeping up with me and it takes a lot longer. Not keen on the fact you can't change words once they are typed and have to delete the whole thing and start again. Also doesn't recognise apostrophes where they belong in words like don't and can't. Annoying after a Sony Ericsson. But this is an attractive phone and does the (basic) job it's designed to do.

i found this phone very good as i have upgraded from nokia6230i. i found only problem in this the phone tools of other moto phone can not supported it. in this i've alot of problem to use it with my laptop. overall this is v ery beautiful hand set. i may love it

I had this phone since November 2006 and coming from a moto V3X there are a few pros and cons. Camera like everyone said (no flash and no macro). The MP3 issues you can drag and drop with the flash card and or using the SD adapter. Other than that the battery life is above average. Not sure why everyone has cracks on their screen, but I had no issues. A clear case is a must as the front glass like surface is not scratch resistant. I bought mine in Hong Kong with screen protectors. Excellent phone and great portability than most.

Rubbish phone,looks nice... 4 times i had this repaired, the blue tooth wont link with other devices, three were good with picking it up and taking it for repair... but it still never worked, 3rd time in repair, i marked it inside with pen , they told told me it was a new phone, the marks i mad with pen still there...!!!!! the phone sound is crackly, the video is rubbish...text messaging is slow.... there now going to replace it with a Nokia 6280...lets hope this works a bit better...

I up graded to this phone from a V3. In reality it was a downgrade. The phone is pretty / stylish BUT the synchronisation with Outlook destroyed my PC data. Motorola support blamed the software company even though Motorola provide the software. Even when you can get the data onto the phone the Categories do not synchronise. The blue tooth does not recognise my Motorola headset or my V3. The phone hangs when I try to open MMS pictures. The shop tested 8 phones and found 6 to have similar problems. In summary, it's nice to look at but I had more use out of my V3. This was my 5th Motorola phone as I have been a fan to date.......But not anymore, I have agreed with the supplier to exchange to phone for a Nokia.

got this phone last month, looks nice. Phone has been turning itself off and heating up all the time and few days ago battery bled and damaged the phone. Tmobile has refused to have anything to do with it, giving excuses as damaged could be caused by condensation, droped in water. This phone has never left my bag, just woke up in the morning and found phone switched and trying yto switch back on was impossible. Only when i opened the back i found the battery has bled and slight liquid coming from the battery. The phone is completely damaged My advice is don't buy the phone, more trouble than it's worth

this phone is growing on me but the length of the phone aint to great but it isn't that wide...aslo it is realy hard to snap shut when its in your hands nice colour...would look great in orange..i wonder if they will bring that out i would buy it if it was orange!
