Reviewed by Mr A on 14/07/2008 Overall the fone is okay. Not the best around, but works well. 3 is in my opinion the worst network to be with. Rating:
Reviewed by Alex on 05/09/2007 I've had this phone for nearly 2 years and it has never played up. The camera isn't brilliant and you can't record a video for long, but the other features work really well. This was my 1st phone and I found it really easy to use, some of the web features are rip offs though. Rating:
Reviewed by Adeyanju Ige Paul on 27/08/2007 Love it. But some of its functions are not satiable eg the infrared is not ok there should be more to it. Thanks. Rating:
Reviewed by Marvin Bob on 20/07/2007 Had it. Was stylish at the time. No more. When it was released it could have been described as revolutionary for its swivel camera. No more. Swivel cameras are a thing of the past. Can't remember how many megapixel camera it was but I know it was no good. For a good phone go with the Nokia N73 Music Edition. Great camera, MP3 player and Word, Excel & PowerPoint viewer. You can't beat the N73. You can beat the U8110! Rating:
Reviewed by Salman Khalid Ch on 14/05/2007 I got this phone about 4 months ago. This is a good phone. The company has given more than necessary functions in lower cost. I like it. It has infrared too but the problem is that we have to use Communication software for file transfering we can't cammunicate by phone to phone because software is required this is a big drawback of this phone. Reviewed by gadgetzilla on 09/09/2006 Good phone, camera quality is OK, quite easy to use, and the screen is bright. However, under the sun, screen becomes dim. I love this phone, it's a pity LG stopped production of this model. The only downsides I found with this phone are the absence of bluetooth and the keypad is so slow. I text with my left hand at my normal speed of about 7 or more characters per second on another model, but with this model, I am dragged to 2 per sec. Nevertheless, I love this phone. Rating:

Reviewed by Tim Westcott on 15-11-2005 Do not get this phone, in my opinion it is rubbish. Do not use the network "3" either, they are the worst network in the UK in terms of quality of service and quality of network. I have had one for a year so and it is the fifth mobile phone I have owned since 1998.
It is definitly the worst model I have had the misfortune of owning in this time. It is also the most expensive model but you wouldn't think that looking at it now. The workmanship is poor and it is not hardwearing. The screens break easily and the microphones break easily and the camera wheel loosen so that are unusable.
The software is not as intuitive as a Nokia phone and is not very good to navigate around and Three who sell these phone are more interested in buying these poorly made devices for people to download a few songs, bits of video and ringtones (it doesn't even supply a standard "ring ring" as a ring tone!). If that's what you want to do there are better quality mobiles to do this with. The phone regulary cuts out inexplicably during calls, can sometimes fail to send or receive texts and can sometimes have absolutley no signal at all in the centre of London.
Alse the connectivity of the device to your pc is near to uselss I spent two evenings to their call centre in Bombay in India and they didn't have a clue how to help me.
My contract has ended so I cannot wait to leave this network and throw this peice of crap in the bin.
I hope review helps some people decide against going with either 3 mobile or getting an LG phone. Through my experience I will never buy any LG branded products. Rating:

Reviewed by Tracy on 22-08-2004 This is the best 3G phone released in the UK so far. In fact it is streets ahead of the clunky old Motorolas and NECs that were first released by 3. The LG is better becuase it looks and feels more like a standard 2G mobile than the brick that most people think of when they hear "3G". WIth the U8110 you have the looks and conveinence of a conventional handset, but with all the benefits of 3G i.e. video calling, horoscopes, traffic reports, etc, etc. LG have borrowed a lot from the Samsung V200 both in the overall look of the phone, and also the rotating camera. It's spec is similar to the V200 too - 65k colour screen, VGA camera, USB cable, etc, but the LG goes further with 64-voice polyphonic ringtones, MP3 player, video recorder and all the 3G services. The only disadvantage is the increased weight. The bottom line is if you like clamshell phones, but you want all the 3G extras too, then you'd be daft not to buy the LG U8110. Hope this review helps answer peoples questions :) Rating:
Reviewed by Steve on 20-08-2004 Shaun, I could not agree with you more. The features and gadgets on the phone itself are great but the reception in and around my home is useless. A call to 3 confirmed that my house is on the very edge of the transmitters coverage radius. As with yourself, my phone switches constantly between the three different 3 networks but has a useless signal on all of them all of the time - to make a call I must go outside and walk down the street a little! A 3 advisor also told me to select the network manually but the idiot should know that even if you do this the phone immediately switches back to automatic selection and reconnects to the 3 network with a useless signal. Are we the only two people to experience this problem? It's about time 3 got their act together and sorted out these mobiles. As if it isn't bad enough to have to pay #2 for a crappy ringtune or a fiver for a poxy game they even have to screw with the phone so you can't use standard features like manual network selection that enable you to use it properly. Sort it out 3! Rating:

Reviewed by Shaun on 19-07-2004 I was suprised to see the previous post praising this phone and guess it must be by an LG employee. I purchased this phone in the UK from Superdrug who I've been told Hutchison purchased get get into market quickly and maybe thats where the problem lays because the phone is totally awol despite some really clever features. 1. Where there are no 3G networks it roams on the 02 netowrks and other posts suggest that this means you cannot hold a continual conversation without getting cut off when switching between networks but here's where it gets event more bizaare.. 2. At the slightest detection of a 3G network it'll stay with it even though an O2 netwrok might be on your door step, the result for me is that whilst it can pick up the 3G transmitter 7 miles away that phone just cannot transmit to it and there it sits for hours on end showing one bar signal stregth on 3G but thus never able to make a call. But in can cope with SMS in this state for some reason. 3. The software to do with latching to netorks actually hangs, stuck in an apparent state of no signal, switching it on and off doesnt solve it strangley but press the home button and after about 30 seconds it bangs back into life. I'm afraid I only have a fix for 2 above and here it is. Get an old unused Nescafe catering size coffee tin and place the phone inside it with the open end facing the O2 network. It cannot see the 3G network and so locks to the O2 and works. Even though I walked back into the store to complain 1 month later after me hols I'm told I have to be without a phone for 3 days whilst they fix it. What on earth has happened to Huthinsons original service ethics deployed by Orange where you got one delivered the folowing day for exchange (and probably still do). I suspect their problems with handsets are so prolific they can't aford the effort. Rating:
