the sound is rubbish now compared to other fones (i have it) and is really quiet compared to my sisters �5 loud crystal clear phone

am from nigeria at times when taking picture it will not capture it will be in standby mode untill the battry is out, apart from that it is cool

No ! I've had mine for about 1 year and over, it have never been in water, but like every mobile goes through drops nd falls. However, when i turn mine on, the screen is white and sometimes has all colours of the raindown over the screen which makes it very very hard to see. So my advice is that it you want a phone for more then a year, this is not the one for you LOL !!!

Got this phone on 3, its impossible for me to get signal unless im in a well populated area (eg town centre), and half the time i dont get it there eather. 3 told me AFTER i signed the contract that there is a known fault with the phone and there are issues with its ability to gain signal. They have refused to supply me with a new handset or cancel my contract, so im stuck paying over �20 a month for a phone thats near-impossible to use. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

I've had this phone almost a year now and ever since I've found the signal really bad! My area is rubbish anyway but it's doing my head in as it's not the only place ... I adore the camera and it's cute littel frames and the design is resllly great by me, however, it often takes to switching itself off. I like the music you can get and my free msn and most other things but for first tume buyers I;d advise to go for a different phone!

I can never get signal anywhere with this phone, the camera and video are very poor, the speaker is very tinny so no point listening to music, internal memory is rubbish. The 'dj-ing' feature is just a stunt to make people buy it and infact is the most pointless thing in the world. Do not waste your money on this phone!

this phones got a great music player, but the battery life is sheer pants!! also i have had one of these since they 1st came out and ive sent it back overall 5 times cos it just keeps on breaking, i've had a new jog button twice 2 new speakers and a replacement phone, and its broken once again!!!!! Personal experiance says 'DON'T GET ONE THEY'RE JUNK!!'

I've had the LG U400 for almost 2 years and never had a problem with it. I've had a few different phones in the past but this one is the best I've ever seen. It impresses bystanders too! Unfortunately it was stolen today. I don't want any other model, but no-one sells it anymore :( is it because it was TOO good? Some sort of conspiracy maybe? lol, 'this mobile is near indestructable and has no software bugs! get rid of it before it monopolises the new phone market for the next decade!' I loved it and will miss it terribly. Like losing a beloved pet.

Ive had this phone on 18 mth contract had it 9 mths and started to get reports from fiends they couldnt contact me, it goes straight to ansaphone, had 3 new handsets and a new sim, I am sat here again today waiting for a 4th handset to arrive. had no working phone for 4 days and alltogether have lost 16 days not having a working phone that I know of, they offered me �5.00 compensation, the customer service is a joke they repeat the same lines to you over and over again, they refuse to let me out of the contract without paying penalties,

had fone 4 ova yr on pay monthly, + i reli luv it .... wud stay on it bt kinda bord of it nw, bt da fone is honestly gr8, + im soo glad i bought a 2gig mem card 4 it cuz i lyk 2 lisn 2 ma musik on da go, therefore no need 4 a music player of ne sort. nuva gud fing is it has msn on it 2!!!! hd few netwrk prbz, but otha dan d@, i giv it ful markzz. xxx

me & my sister both have this phone on contract with three and we've never been able to get good conection. three's service is absolutely appauling! dont buy the phone and dont sign with three.

rubbish dont buy i have it on the �15 pm texter on 3 and takes ages to send texts and when i called to complain about the lack of signal they sed it wasnt there fault but the fones and they sed i can have a replacement oyh but in augest o8

sound distorts at max volume when playing mp3 tracks, menu browsing sometimes quite sluggish my main fret is the jog wheel not always selecting correct folders/details. Just had new buttons and jog wheel 4 days ago but has started to go downhill again.

I just love my u400 phone!!! It is my first ever LG and 3G handset. The only "little" things bother me about it are: a)it is quite difficult to find accessories for it here in the Philippines, b)yes the housing needs constant cleaning, c)the unit warms up a little on the backside if you play MP3's for an hour or so, d)you can't save pictures from sites you have visited when browsing, a feature common even to the lowly GPRS handsets (or if you can it doesn't say on the manual, e)no radio (for a music phone?), e)plus the "3" portal is impossible to access here in the Philippines even with 3G settings insatlled an activated. But overall it is a great phone packed with a lot of features.

funky! This is the best phone i have ever had! it has an amazing camera with a flash. This phone is amazing exept for the confusing buttons at the top, but i guess they just need a little of getting used to. if you ever want an upgrade, BUY THIS(even though it is an old model, it looks like a very new on! *your friends will never know!)

Have been on the 3 network since it first came out and never had a problem with coverage on any other phone. The LG400 drops calls and can't get the network. Been on to customer service and 3 say LG know about this but cannot repair it. The phone on other networks in fine but does not support the 3 network as it does not swop coverage quick enough and drops signals. I too have had the problem where I don't have any network for 1/2 a day now and again. If they supply you with a phone that does not take the 3 network ( and they know ) you can get out of the contract as they are not fulfilling there side of the contract. They will try and make you buy another handset at a special offer price at �50 but do not give them any money as they must supply a replacement for the phone that does not support the 3 network fully. They all know this it is on their system!

This phone broke on me twice, and twice i recieved horrendous customer service. The cd's to load up the music thing on the computor don't work, the headphones don't work, the wheel is terrible to use and the reception with it is terrible, wish i'd never got it, can't wait until a new one, the dj thing is also a pile of &*%^&$, it reminds me of a toy i had when i was three. don't uy this phone, LG'S are a waste of time.

This phone is the best I have ever had. I have had it for just under a year now. Mine has excellent coverage, excellent sound, my battery life is excellent, downloading from PC and to PC a total breeze, easy to use and understand. Have never had a problem with 3 in the 3 years I have been with them and have never had a problem with this phone, or in fact any other LG phone I have had (3 altogether, which are all still going strong). Like it so much that when I renew I want another Neo so I can pass this one onto my daughter.

This phone was a big mistake. It was sent back to 3 twice because of it not working. For 16 hours a day the phone did not work. It doesnt connect to the pc. and the speakers were far too quiet. i advise people not to get this phone. waste of time and money

This is by far the worst mobile i've ever had.I've only had it for 3 months i had to have it repaired 3 times already & the network 3 is just as bad. W A R N I N G DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THE LG U400 OR CHANGE TO THE 3 NETWORK.

It is bad. its so flimsy, i've broke 3 of them, and it take FOREVER to get arounf the thing. the navigation is stupidly complicated and it doesent help haveing a delay of seconds whichever button you press. NEVER EVER BUY, seriously, your better off with a brick than this thing.

The phones great, never really had anyproblems with it. However 3 network is absolutly rubish actually its diabolical and sadly for me i've got an 18 month contrct with them, so im stuck with them for another 10 months and i cant cancel the contract because they took �100 deposit off me!!!!!!

This phone is perfect, all these people who say its rubbish because of the signal and connecton, i always have signal. The phone looks good, the camera is good enough to take picutures, the is good quality from the speakers, all in all a great phone.

I got one, had it for 5 months and it's a lovely bit of kit. I'm starting to use it more than my Ipod, and listening to music on the LG 400 on the bus feels pretty manly now. It's a touch machine, I have dropped mine (accidently) a few times and it apears unaffected. My only critisism would be the OS is painfully slow. Clicking a button usually leave a wait of about 5 seconds untill it response. This is REALY irritating, and java is painfully slow. Other than that, it's a top MP3 player.

the best phone i have ever had. it's so sleek and good looking and easy to use. i seriusly recomened this phone. allthough look out on insurnce claims if this pone is stolen. it's not in stock often and you get a poorer phone for your money.

This is an outstanding phone , its cool features it has only one down fall the jog wheel .Some of my friends got it they use the wheel regulary but seem to experinceing some problems but anyway ,I enjoy all its features and its a good phone

Ok this fone isnt too bad but have to say speakers are soooo quiet and what are the speakers for on the side cs no music comes out of them. good point is it looks nice but it does grab dirt so easily the battery life isnt too bad actually even though alot of ppl have been complainin bout it but i have had the fone for 5 months and dnt have a problem with battery. But i got bored of this fone very quickly theres no games which is a bummer jus like my LGU880 before. ANOTHER THING IS I CANNOT GET IT CONNECTED TO MY PC!! the software just doesnt reconise my fone i have been made to send my photos to my old fone thru bluetooth and den transfer them off there! which takes a LONG tme! I do quite like the scroll makes the fone diferent frm all other fones. Nxt fone is going to be the Sony E W660i even tho i am onli 5 months into my contract haha

I bought the phone for my daughter who loves it, however the LCD screen cracked internally whilst just being carried, although there was no damage externally to the phone the repair isn't covered by warranty. I say the phone casing isn't up to the job of protecting the internal screen. Give it a miss as repair is costly.
