I just upgraded to this phone as my friend has it and thought it was a very stylish phone. The other reason was because I got a free Ipod Shuffle from O2 as I am on a £35 per month tarrif. Anway, I have only had it a couple of days and it keeps turning off when I slide it down!!! I shall be taking it back as my friend never has this problem although shes had hers for about 2 months and its extremly stratched!!! I am very disappointed that I have upgraded early as I have read in a newspaper that this summer they are bringing out a PINK LG shine, so if you like this phone and you love pink then I would reconmend you wait!!!!! Brought the phone as had a very good memory to store tunes spent a whole night adding to my phone from lap top for my train journey but can hardly hear it very low volume on playback plus does not give you a play list to set you have to select next song then press play again. Pre phone was a motorolla what gave 3g signal much more often, this one looks nice though :)

I am now onto my 3rd Shine phone in 3 months. Each time i turn the phone off, it will not come back on again! Also when someone calls, firstly i can't hear the ringtone and secondly i can't hear the person at the other end. Lastly, it has terrible coverage and i am constantly told i have No Network or Limited Service!!!!!

Had the phone for 4 days now and I have hardly used it as the battery wont stay charged for longer that an hour. I have charged it overnight a couple of times and again the phone just doesn't last. It's not like I'm constantly using it, it's just sitting on my desk. Also, since I've had it, its been red hot. The only time it cools down is when I turn it off. I'm fed up of it now, it looks great which is all well and good but if it doesn't actually work for longer an an hour then there's no point in it. What if I needed it in an emergency? It would let me down. I have also read that a few people have had problems with the battery, and also my friend had to take hers back eventually because the battery didn't last. Also the software has froze a couple of times when texting. I've only sent 10 texts in 4 days on it because it doesn't work!

I got this phone yesterday and I quiet like it. The only thing that annoys me is when typing a text, the side of my hand keeps pressing the camera button on the side! I have tried holding it a different way but I just automatically hold it the comfortable way! I've only had it a day though and not send many messeges so maybe it's just me not being use to it. I wasn't too impressed with the speaker quality compared to my Sony Ericsson W800i. It's a bit tinny and doesn't play as loud. The phone looks great though, hard to take it out my pocket without touching the screen thus making loads of finger prints on it though! I like the way you can change the view of typing a number in! Quiet a cute little feature. Id still recommend this, I have been playing with it all day! It does the job and looks great too.

The LG shine is a reliable phone that does everything that you need it to do. There is good sound quality and the controls are neat and easy to handle. This phone is more for girls though as when the screen is off, it makes a mirror!! I hope that anyone else who buys it will have the same good expirience as i have.

Is a great looking phone but it does some weird things like turning itself off when using the MP3 player sumtimes and when u r texting it wont let u put anything but the first letter on the key after a fullstop without having to delete and start again! It also takes ages to turn on, like a good 2 minutes which isnt good if u r in a rush! It is hard to see the screen when its sunny and the scroll wheel takes some getting used to. Thing is that most people wil buy this phone because it looks great, which it does, so if u want a stylish fone then defo go for it but if it is anything like mine at time it will drive u mad!

Its way too quiet!!! and you cant change text alerts. It has no cool features just the basics, no programs like music dj photo dj or similar. The keypad is annoying and youll end up pressing the red phone button several times when texting and having to start again. The buttons beside the roller are hard to press and useless if you download java games. I got this phone hoping for something really good, but I was really dissapointed. In my eyes, this is a failure it could have done so much better.

This phone is a pile of junk.It has serious issues in detecting a signal.I was with orange and sent various email and phone calls to them as i was experiencing Limited Service. They advised me there was no communication problems with their mast.Later i found the OFFOM,site which gives you the location of the mast.I was suprised to see there is a mast not more than half a mile from me.I also live in a 3G high defination and vocal reception area. However,if you want to spend a lot of money and get nothing then thats fine.I have sent mine back and i am returning to my Sony Ericsson on o2

I've had this phone for about a week now. Luckily it seems like the first lot of this phone came with some problems. Fortunately that didn't happen to mine. I've read most of the comments regarding the problems of ths phone. I had SE W850i and within 2 months the memory card reader inside the phone stopped working and i was experiencing other technical problem so i decided it's time to get new phone. This phone had my attention straight away when i first saw. After I've had it for about a week I'm sure you've heard how sick this phone looks etc. Let's see the problems I have with this phone. - Camera quality is very very clear, I love it, BUT there's a 3-4 secs lag after you press the button to take picture. Now, in response to one of the comments here that said you have to press the annoying rolling bar. Alternatively, you can just use the shortcut button for camera on the side of the phone to capture the picture too, which i find it much easier than trying to press the roller without rolling it up/down. - Roller: Yes I find it annoying sometimes because I think it's too sensitive. I happen to mis-select things on the phone alot of the time with this roller. However, I think over time i'll get used to it, personally i don't find this is such a big problem - Message/Alarm tone: It's funny that you can't use any of your own mp3 or even the phone ringtones itself as your message/alarm tone. There're only 4-5 different message tone you can choose and about 7-8 for alarm tone. This phone does not allow you to customise message/alarm tone. - Flat keypad: I've read alot of comments about the flat keypad. I myself don't find it that hard to text. Yes I mis-press the button sometimes but that's about it. Having said all that, Overall I think this phone is still good. It takes time to get used to though. If you end up with a faulty one then that's just bad luck. So what's good about this phone. This phone feels solid and it doesn't feel like a toy, looks stunning. It has awesome mp3 player, very great sound quality. Easy to transfer from pc -> phone, just drag and drop it to your mp3 folder on the memory card. It comes with in-line remote with all the play/pause/forward/backward/volume buttons and it allows you to use your OWN headphone to listen to the music. I find it very irritating on my SE W850i that I have to use the rubbish SE earphones that comes with the phone and we can't change it! Finally there's a phone that let me use my Sony MDR-EX90 earphone to listen to the music. Camera Quality is stunning but it can be irritating due to the lag. Roller isn't exactly the best idea for nagivational keys but it's not the end of the world. Overall I'm not dissapointed with this phone I think it's good.

Bought this phone because it looks great and I had read a couple of good reviews. What a big mistake I have made, the battery life is absolutely rubbish, for instance I switched the phone on one morning at 9am, it was fully charged, during the day I received 3 text messages and replied to the 3 of them, I didn't make any calls at all or receive any, by 5pm the phone was out of battery, how frustrating. I have now sent the phone back and am hopefully going to receive a refund. This phone is a lot of money for very little in return! Avoid at all costs.
