Ive had this phone for over 2 years now and it has been fab! I work on a stud yard which means im around horses. My phone is all battered but i dont want to get rid of it because of the mega responsive touch screen! Ive had a go on the samsung tocco and really dont find it as responsive all. Yes it has its downsides, like a 2 song memory and a short battery life but you can charge the phone up over night and get a seperate memory card for a tenner. When i have bveen cleaning the stables out at work and filling up water buckets i have dropped my lg prada in puddles and big buckets of water and its survived! Oh and SOMETIMES the touchscreen freezes up after you have been on the phone but its sorted by taking out the battery and putting it straight back in and then it works super! HOPE THIS HAS HELPED ANYONE! :)

I used to have a LG cookie that was brilliant but on one of the reviews for the LG cookie it said the LG prada was a load better, but after using the phone for a week I am past despair with the phone. I think it is too heavy and large. It is not at all a reliable phone as mine turned off every 10 minutes for no apparent reason. My screen broke today after just 7 days. IF I WAS YOU I'D BUY THE LG COOKIE HAS SAME THINGS JUST A BIT WORSE CAMERA AND IS A LOAD CHEAPER!!!

Ive had my phone for coming up 2 years and Im ready for a change back to a button phone-the prada has at best driven me quietly up the wall- its lovely to put on a table in public-nothing to be ashamed of there! but its a real annoying thing to rely on if your in a hurry or having a crisis and actually have to search a number and phone someone-its not that easy to text in a hurry either as the thing keeps freezing/ or repeats the last digit again and again after a cap letter or explanation mark. Nice fashion piece but not practical.

I love the look of this phone but have found it quite annoying for several reasons. Firstly you can't see the screen when you're out in daylight. Secondly I've not been able to find a way of re-accessing the number pad once on a call i.e. when you need to press another number to take you through a recorded switchboard (i.e. "if you want to book an appointment - press 1"). I've had the phone for about 6 months now and the touchscreen navigation buttons have started to really slow down - it can sometimes take about 20 seconds or more to open up an option including the number pad or text message option. Which bring me to my last point - you can't directly reply to a text message - you have to go a really long way round to do so - and you can't forward on a text message either. Needless to say - I've been quite disappointed with the phone and will be going back to a Nokia as soon as my contract is up!

I'm not sure if this is a bug just on my phone or if this a universal problem with this version but I've noticed if you reply to a text then save it as a draft to send later the recipient will change to the next text message down on the list. this has caused a few embarrassing text messages to my boss that were meant for my wife etc. very annoying problem and something that I have to constantly watch out for. Anyone else had this problem? apart from that I have to say the texting interface is appalling and very slow, especially to type characters/commas etc. definitely don't recommend this.

I have to say upon opening the box of the Prada I was WOWED! I bought this phone for my daughter for her 18th birthday and after seeing and playing with it I wanted one for myself. I found the touch screen very responsive, and I have large fat fingers! The sound quality was very clear and loud and the reception was excellent! Other phones I have had, Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Blackberry have all had reception issues at my house and so far this one has been very good. However, I have had some issues that has caused me to return the phone in exchange for another one. 1. I can not use video mode at all, every time I try the phone shuts off. 2. Can't play music while doing other things - it will not play in background - just cuts off when I try. 3. Songs will not go into MP3 player, so the player has been useless to me. 4. Every song that does upload on the phone, but not into the MP3 player, uploads twice - one plays and the other says fil e is not supported. 5. Can not move music from memory card to phone. 6. Does not support any documents. 7. Disk image will not eject from computer. Now I know these are a lot of problems, but I am giving LG another chance - I think I just got a lemon and hopefully this second time around I will get a good phone. It is a very beautiful phone, the touch screen is great and very responsive and the call quality and reception quality were both admirable. I found texting to be very easy and my daughter said she texts faster on the Prada than she does on her Nokia or Samsung. As I have not seen comments on all of my problems I am assuming I did get a dud of a phone and my next one hopefully will be great! If it is, I will be getting one for myself, not just my daughter, because it is a very nice phone. We both think it is a 5 star phone, (the parts that work) but because of the problems we are giving it only 4.

You need to make sure that you have set the DTMF tones to On in settings. In fact, im prety sure you can do it during a call. At my shop, these phones have been selling not so well, but we have had no complaints. I used to have one and thought it was absolutely fantastic, couldnt fault it at all. I loved texting on it too, the touch screen was very very responsive. The camera also takes great pictures, but in all fairness, taking a picture takes far too long.

I've had the phone for well over 5 months now and I'm trading it in, It took me a while to admit to myself that style isn't everything, after having to turn it off 5 times in one day to restart it. The touchscreen either freezes or doesn't work at all, when using SMS, the sticks on one letter, making you have to go back and delete and start over. After a month or two, the Prada shows its true colours.

Ive had 2 of these phones now in 3 weeks. the first one i had to return due to the fact the leather case that comes with the phone scratched both sides of the interface and somehow the screen. due to the fact i have not dropped the phone this is the only logical explanation, and when i take it back the store simply says theres nothing they can do even if they wanted to! so whats the point in giving the leather case as the guy in the store admitted he knew the case had done it? i wont deny the phone is stylish and a gorgeous phone to have, so ive fought it and got myself another one, this time ive bought one of the plastic clear cases, which i find protects the phone much better. i did not want a different phone as i find this one is one ofthe best i have purchased in a while. i just cand understand the case, i dont expect anyone elses has done the same?

One stunning phone. Texting is a breeze once you adapt to the feel for the touch-screen. I've had no problems with battery life and the fact that it is memory free is a bonus because it means you can top-up the charge anytime without fear of damaging it. I live in a low signal strength area but found that the handset is more receptive than my previous phone..A motorola v3i. Only downside for me is the inability to customize a lot of the features. Overall though, full marks to LG.

I love my phone, I think the battery life is fantastic! The camera is faster at responding than the supposedly "just like a camera" LG Viewty. The design is well built and sturdy. I've dropped the phone a million times now and it is still intact minus the few scratches. I find the touchscreen really easy to use and overall I think it's so much better than the LG Viewty just for the ease of use, look and practicality. The only issue is that if you have long nails or are used to pressing things with your nails, the phone doesn't respond because it only responds to fingertips, that is stressful when I have my acrylics on compared to the LG Viewty which responds to both fingertip and stylus/nails. But overall, I really like my LG Prada!

I bought my Prada phone a month ago. NIGHTMARE!! The first day I got it I tried to set the alarm, but it didn't go off as the date on the the display kept changing back to the date of the day before! STRANGE! This kept happening on numerous occassions at random times during the day so I brought the phone back to the store I bought it in. They offered to send it off for a software upgrade but as I had only had it 1 week I asked them to just exchange it for a new one for me, which they did. 3 days later, the same thing stated happening with this phone! I brought the 2nd one back to the shop and this time opted for it to be sent off for the software upgrade. It was gone for 2 weeks but when I got it back I was delighted. Screen was much more responsive and no random date changes occurred!! However, when using the phone this evening, while texting I was using the T9 predictive text and when I tried to change the word I was trying to spell, the whole page of text kept be ing cleared!! I also had written a message and saved it in the 'Drafts' folder and when I went to send it, a couple of hours later, I couldn't find it!! I hadn't selected a recipient, and it wasn't in my outbox or my sent folder. I don't think I was meant to own one of these phones, and as beautiful as it is, I'll be bringing it back tomorrow and getting a nice reliable Nokia instead!

All reviewers that have given this phone 5 stars have only had it for less than a week! I have had this horror for 8 months and it is truly aweful! Here are the main shortfalls- 1-the "special" case scratches the screen!! People have to fight with LG to get their phones replaced because of this. 2-The touchscreen stops responding often. 3-the interface is buggy and VERY slow. For example, the backlight just turns off sometimes while you are still typing a message. 5-the camera takes over one second to capture a photograph. 6-message memory is low. 7-general usability is laughable- shows LG have no clue when it comes to designing a stress-free experience for a mobile. For example, when a call ends, because the loudspeaker is located in the same place as the earspeaker, a loud noise is produced telling you the call ended, which is so annoying when you aren't expecting it! 8-if you want to show off with this phone-the prada logo on the front rubs off!! 9- cheap feel of case and design. Don't know why Prada would associate itself with such a terrible piece of kit! It's in the bargain bins now. LG are renowned for cheapness, this is no exception. Well worth avoiding!

Ive had the LG Prada for 4 month and it looks like ive had it 4 year. The casing is cheap plastic and scratches very easily. If you like to text fast, forget it, its memory is as slow as tortoise. This is very frustrating and your fingers tap repeatidly waiting for the dam text pad to move on. Lg please take a leaf out of Nokias book and use the same housing/fascia as they do. You can have a Nokia for years and it never seems to wear or tear. Im saving up for Nokia 2310. Never again LG.

The case has left marks and scratches on the phone and it really bugs me and yet they say its not a fault with the phone which it is a fault because the case that come with the phone is the one they designed for it.. Yes they look to business but man are they a pig to use and the options are down right poor. The touch screen just gives you brain damage and scrolling menus is worse than pulling teeth as you continually jump out of the menu!! I've only had the prada phone for 3 days and so far things are going well. I will admit it does take a bit of time to get used to, considering i just finished using a Panasonic VS3 which has almost no features, except a button to open the phone. I am having trouble with one thing though. I have been trying to install the software on my laptop and it pops up with stuff about USB drivers - I know nothing about these, and the help menu is not helping! But back to worshipping the phone: I love the leather case... I have a habit to drop phone etc and they end up looking battered, KUDOS to the leather case. AND call me a girl (who cares - i am one) but I love the fact that this phone is Prada... its about the only Prada thing I will ever be able to afford. Unfortunately, their bags don't come with cap plans. And to all of you out there who don't like the touch screen... it's because you press the touchscreen too hard (regardless of the size of finger) and therefore hit the wrong button, or you are not skilled to opperate such a phone. Perhaps both :) Au Revoir.

You are then left with a phone that has truly dreadful battery life, a very average camera, awful memory and no 3G, which all in all make it boring to use. This a beautiful mobile phone designed by prada and lg. It is a mobile phone that i have loved since having it. The best thing about this phone is the gorgeous user interface. My favourite thing is the movable clock, it reminds you of an apple mac. The themes are wonderful (includes aqua theme - apple mac) and if you want a small mac in the palm of your hands then i will consider you to buy this phone. It's got the looks, outstanding features and it is so easy to get used to, no matter how big your fingers the technology behind it all is truly amazing - not only does it pick it up and predicts of what your finger is touching but it is also very fast when clicking through different applications. Don't be afraid when texting as this will take time to get used too and believe it or not you can use predicted texting. In order to play a game you have to touch the screen (i love it!) and the camera quality is 2 megapixels but don't be disturbed by this as it is quite clear and fast to take pictures and video. But there is only one problem - it costs a lot of money and also it can get stolen very easily. Still i give it an outstanding 5 stars. By Surat Dhillon www.mygadgetblog.com

I purchased this phone for my wife who is a proper poser. She had it for about three days then gave it back to me because she could not get on with it and found it far too fiddly and it would not respond to her touching the screen with her long nails, it would only work with the pad of her fingers which she found impossible. I have now taken it over because I do not have long nails! Anyway, I have always been a Sony man so was not chuffed to now have to own an LG. I must say that the phone does take a while to get used to if you are not used to touch screens. i have large fingers which at first caused problems but once you get used to where to touch then it is not so much of a problem. I cannot deny that when texting you cannot be as quick as conventional phones and you do keep making mistakes but as time goes on this is more infrequent. I use the phone as an MP3 player as well which causes a problem when bluetoothing songs from my laptop or other phones. The intern al memory seems very small and I had to buy another larger memory card. I can only transfer more than one song via the data cable supplied but once they are on there this is no problem. The external speaker is adequate and all sound fab by the earphones if needed. I have had no probs with the battery life so far. The screen is hard to see in bright sunlight but is this not the case with most phones anyway? the camera seems to be great at the moment and video etc has given me good quality. I always think that if you want top notch pics and vid then buy a video/digital camera. The phone is very light and smart and fits very well into your pocket. On the whole I would say that this is a phone directed at the female without nails. Us men with fat fingers may struggle a bit at first but it is possible to master the beast with patience. I cannot give it 5 stars as it is not the best for serious phone users but it does seem fully packed to recreational users like me.

Is it completely impossible? If yes, I'ma putt it back into it's box and get back to my Nokia 6300 - I mean, the ringtones installed on the Prada are not even a bad joke, there are more to cry than to laugh about - the worst I've ever heard... It clearly doesn't deserve a rating above 4, too many mistakes and problems with it... the only point it deserves a rating of 5 is the design which is just perfect... sory for typing mistakes, I'm Swiss...

I've had my Prada for a fortnight now and I haven't had any reason to complain. It's only crashed on me once and that was last night ( it still wasn't anything major either it just wouldn't clear the sms front screen on the main display so I had to remove the battery ot re-boot ) apart from that it's been fine. I went from a SE W810i to this phone and believe me it took me nearly 6 weeks to finally decide what phone to choose ( I had looked at the SE 880i , N95 etc etc). At the end of the day a phone is only a piece of electrical equipment, they all go wrong from time to time and in about 9-10 months I'll be changing it for something else. I'll be brutally honest with you, I went for the Prada simply because I'd never had a touch screen phone before and I'd thought I'd give it a go simply to try something different. LoveBay.co.uk

Well, I've had lots of phones, believe me. (The N95, some of SonyEricsson's top models, and a whole bunch more) and this is the one I'm sticking with. Here's the lo-down: Battery life is good considering the size of the screen. The cam's OK, video function rocks because the quality is better. It's EASY to use, although getting used to it properly does take over an hour. It's reliable, sound quality rocks, it has my two thumbs up. Oh, and of course it's damn stylish, but I don't actually have to mention that, do I? To the Apple nerds: 1.) Just because it's a touchscreen phone doesn't make it a "copycat" of the iPhone. 2.) At least the Prada'll play tons of obscure sound formats, the Apple can't even do WMA. For someone who rips all their CDs with the WMP, that's a disaster. (No, I'm not converting all those damn files!!) 3.) Most people only ever listen to maximum 2 gigs of music at the time, why do you need your entire collection on your phone? I don't think that 4 or 8 gig capacity hype is worth much. After all, nobody bought the Nokia N91 either, even though it was the first one of its kind with that capacity. Can't be too important then. 4.) Prada = cooler than Apple. =P But hey, 5.) You can set your own tunes as a ringtone on the Prada, can't on the Apple phone. 6.) You can't exchange the battery on the iPhone, means you'll have to send it in for a while after the batts are wasted. =P Five stars from me, end of story! =)

I've had the phone for 2 weeks and i must commend that its so coool. compared to some other phones its very slim and handy and every one around wants to have a look. my only fear is dropping it, cos it looks so fragile. Another short coming is the fact that the battery drains so fast especially for heavy users like me, and the unlock button does not work until you press it like three times. Also, you have to clean it like ten to twenty times a day, cos of the fingerprints on the screen, i think that is a flaw rather than an advancement, i would have preferred if i could use the touchscreen as just an option. Asides all these, i must commend LG for this cool device, its just so beautiful.

I received this as an upgrade to my sony w810i and have used the phone for approx 2 weeks now. I think that the phone is very eye catching with only having touchscreen functions and call quality is of a high standard. It came with a 256mb card which i haVe upgraded to 1gb and it is very easy to use despite having no traditional keypad. The camera is fairly decent to and if i am being extremely fussy the only negative is that you cant set your own message alerts and have to make do with default ones which are not the best. This aside i have had no software problems, good battery life and would recommend this to anybosy considering a new phone or upgrade..

I would like to take this opportunity to warn all you folks considering getting a new mobile phone not to get the LG Prada. It is poo (and yes, that is the technical word!). Whilst it is undeniably incredibly sleek, and you will look oh-so-very-cool casually fishing it out of your bag or pocket, you will rapidly loose that air of sophistication as you bite your lip in an attempt to hold in the expletives that spontaneously spring to mind whilst trying to actually use the damned thing! It is the worst phone I have ever had (and given my track record with losing phones, I have had a lot of phones). It’s all touch screen (with the exception of a few hard buttons on the very bottom and the side) and again it seems very cool on first impressions. However, you’ll quickly find that the buttons are slow to respond and are too close together if you have fingers any bigger than those of a 5 year old. It also has a tendency to freeze and not let you do anything at all. Highly annoying! However, the worst feature by far is the way that the keys to which the letters are assigned change depending what you are trying to do. When composing a text message, a b and c will be where key 2 is. The same as every other phone. Very sensible. Well done LG. But when you come to search through your phonebook by typing in the name, the keys have all miraculously reassigned themselves so that they aren’t where you’d expect them to be! Abc are now where key 1 would normally be. This has caused me to suffer a disproportionate amount of phone rage! Not helped by the fact that when you try to correct the inevitable mistake and press the key which normally will only delete one letter, you find yourself promptly back at the home screen. The battery life also leaves something to be desired, so that on those rare occasions when you manage (either through an inordinate amount of concentration or sheer luck) to call someone, you can’t talk for long before it begins to die on you! In conclusion, this phone sucks and in order to avoid becoming the victim of severe phone rage and ending up wasting time ranting about it (like I am in this note), I suggest you choose another phone!

THIS PHONE IS OK'ish this phone is aimed at the designer guys that much is true. I got it becuase the last few phones have been gadget phones they looked awful after a few weeks, and i realised the gadgets on the phone i hardly ever used. So i chose a designer phone, i was prepared for the change in quality to more focus on the design rather than functionality and gadgetry. The phone itself is ok the photos arent as good as other 2mp camera phones, but suffice and do the job. the video player is of poor quality, as the dimensions get a little skewiff, but thats not a biggy for me. I did take my phone back to get repared as there were funny black lines across the screen. these have now (fingers crossed) been fixed. Txt is a bit awful too, but im not a big txter, battery life is just average. games are pretty cool as they really utilise the touch screen. overall the looks are excellent to view pictures etc is an eye grabber, all in all a very sleak phone, but not top of the technology market in terms of gadgetry.

I am well impressed with this phone. its style is beyond doubt and it does all the things i want it to very well (call, txt, mp3, basic camera). Impressed with the touchscreen, im a big clumsy guy over 6 foot, who is not renowned for being patient and having quite a temper with fiddly things, but i can use the "keyboard" effortlessly. it takes a few hours to get used to using it but your patience will pay off, i find it best to use the phone with 2 hands, using undex finger to prod the screen, its alittle trickier one handed using your thumb, but getting easier by the day. as for comments about lack of features (when compared to the iphone) just think about the complexity of the os running the phone, with the LG the firmware will be a lot more robust (e.g. its less likely to crash or get the dreaded white screen). The only problems i have with this phone are that it scratches so very easily (ipod owners will know what im talking about) but it can be solved with the use of various dedicated screen polishes available. the phone is a little too slim to use comfortably, single handed for a long time ie for txting, not whilst talking. the loud speaker uses the standard ear speaker and sounds rubbish at the highest volume settings, but this is no trouble as you dont have to use it that loud, and anyway you should expect because you have sacrificed it for the looks and slimness of the casing, and dont complain about the size of the buttons on the front (call, end call/on-off and cancel) if they were bigger you would complain about the being too big etc! As others have said battery life isnt great, but it lasts a whole day so its not exactly a hardship to charge it every night is it? just dont forget! Another problem is the flimsy charger/usb connection cover, i believe this might end up separ ate from the phone quite early on into the contract. Get this phone. its very intuitive to use, ive been a nokiaphile since ive been using mobiles for their ease of use, but this is just as good if not better. i like the fact that when media or contacts get sent to you via bluetooth they get sent to the relevant folder, dunno if this is a feature on any other phones... Now for my gripes with other comments: To quote "inaleems": "this is a copy cat phone". no it isnt. the apple iphone is not 3g (thus (imo) rendering it useless), and doesnt have gigabytes of internal memory (again doesnt bother me and perhaps most people, as most people have got ipods, come back to me when phones have 20gig+ and i'll be interested, oh and the fact that i prefer using windows, so if i were to get a smartphone it would be running windows pocket, or symbian. The be all and end all is that this phone is seriously cool. it may not have the technology of the iphone but as said by the admins, the phones are in different sectors of the market. believe me the iphone will sell on name only, not for the techy stuff crammed inside, having said that the Prada will sell for name only aswell, but only to the fashion conscious or those easily impressed by the touchscreen. One more gripe to the admins; reviews that go along the lines of "Totally rubbish" or "Pish" should be banned, the one star rating says that, it may well be rubbish but you need to explain why.

Got the Prada mid-May and took me about 2 days to get used to it, then it was fine. The camera's great especially when showing pics cos you can do the whole screen effect. Some people seem to have problems texting or touch-dialing with network providers but the first is easily learned and the second you just press the speaker button and it works perfectly. I love the fact that I can't ring anyone accidentally without having to have a flip phone too! Filming isn't great but it's ok for me cos I don't really film on my phones, the camera's the main issue and that's all great. The only thing that sometimes annoys me is the crescendo ringing - if it could just be plain loud I'd pick up the phone in time when out! But there's always vibrate so no real crisis :) All in all a lovely phone, but if you're one of these my-phone-must-be-all-my-electronics-in-one type people then undoubtedly the memory might annoy you. Every handset has niggles that people dont get on with. Read other forums and you will find that every fone will have some issue a person is not happy with. In the end it falls down to the useability of the handset in your day to day life. This handset is one of the few that has something 'new' on the market. The Prada name is not a reason why I purchased this, the new exciting tech is. Lets see how the i phone does. Slightly better interface, specs, but is bigger. Does the touchscreen not react all the time - Yes. Does it seem to open up a feature when your pressing for something else- Yes. But its mainly down to user error. You have to adjust the way you use this type of interface. People are so used to 'press' buttons. The features on this handset will accomodate most people. Just think about the handsets you've had with all those features you read about, thought wow, and then hardly used them. My opinion is that this fone is not really for the teenagers as they are used to speed texting and get impatient when trying to use the lg prada in the same way, although other reviews confirm, practice really does make perfect. Read some of the reviews below and you will underdstand what i mean. Is it a 'girls' handset as some other people have stated ! I dont understand this. Its not femanine in anyway, its unisex as most fones are. It would be business suicide to simply cater for one half of the market. Battery life at 1st will be short'ish from all the initial setting up of the fone, tweaking it to your liking, and the newness of playing with it. Several charges later and it not being picked up every few mins, and you should find 2-3 days charge, which is normal for alot of handsets. My last handset was the Nokia8800, so im used to using two batteries and charging it everynight ! In summing up I would recomend this handset to all, as long as you prepared to embrace this technology with patience. Reviews from people who have had it 1-4 days, and are returning it have not done their homework, or checked out a demo model before purchasing. And in the end we all change our handsets through the year, some more than most {gulity as charged !}. I normally change every 4-5 months. Also note please do not use the supplied carrying case. It has a history of actually marking up the handset instead of doing its job of protecting it. Their is an accessory called a invisible shield that skins over the handset with a plastic that the u.s military used on their helicopter blades to protect them.Once its on it fully protects it, can be removed if wished and re applied. And you cannot see it once its on.The touchscreen loses no useability either, which obviously would defeat the purpose of the handset. If you google you should find one.Be careful about buying it on 'that famous auction site', as many stated as prada shields are not cut out right for this handset.

I can't wait to get rid of it and get a decent phone i can text on! texting is a slow business on this phone and i still can't work out how to add words to the dictonary without wanting to throw the phone on the floor after 5 minutes. The screen is covered in scratches even tho i've kept it in it's own little pocket in my bag, it gets covered in fingerprints and the touch screen is just annoying. But.....it still looks cool - i think that's it's only saving grace. the camera is rubbish in anything less than bright sunlight as well - so no use on a night out. sorry to be so down on it, it's a great looking phone but that's all it's good at.

This is by far the coolest phone I'v ever had! The OS is great and very slick, very easy to use. The phone even loads up a lot quicker than any phone I'v ever had. There might be a few problems with how LG have tried to cram things onto the screen, for instance when searching through numbers, but the review someone wrote down there saying there was a major problem with inputting new T9 words is wrong, you can use the "c" button on the phone to erase characters too. I'v only had the phone a couple of days n the battery seems fine, I'v had the phone off charge since 9.00 am on the first day and its still on three bars now. I havent made too many calls mind. The texting system takes a little getting used to, but I suppose thats just because its so different from a usual phone. The system is actually very responsive and can keep up with as fast as I can press the buttons. One very cool feature I'v found is that if you split the headphone adapter you can then use a headphone jack - stereo cable to play the music from your phone through your stereo. Only problems I have is that you cannot zoom in on the normal camera, only on the video, which is wierd but the pictures do come out quite nice full screen on a pc. I like the way that the phone functions as a removable storage device too, and its much quicker transferring files to the phone than my old nokia N73. Would have been nice if you could access the phone on your computer by Bluetooth mind. Overall I think its a really cool phone thats bound to turn heads. The touchscreen is almost perfect I find, the design is flawless and the applications are great. I imagine this phone would have sold with so much less just because its Prada. I got it free on upgrade too!!

This phone is amazing and everyone comments on it. It actually has some advantages over the iphone such as a flash, Schneider kreuznach (like kodak cameras) lens and looks of course! The camera is amazing and better than most other 2mp cameras due to the quality of the lens. Sadly the zoom is only for the video - this is rather strange! The user interface is really intuitive and the touch screen just the right degree of responsiveness! It is actually quite easy to text on after a few practices, and fun to use. The sound quality is great and the ringtones can have a high volume good for busy places although the ringtones provided are slightly strange. MP3 files can be used as ringtones and are easy enough to transfer-just copy into the mp3 folder in the sounds folder on the memory card. The computer software is rather complex but works if the phone is set to Data service (settings, connectivity, usb) The phone has pretty standard features for a modern mobile and I would say the price is mainly due to design (by the way pay as you go is only £279 in phones4u) The battery life is average, I have had to charge every day so far (only my third day) but only because I never put it down! The battery meter does jump around a bit when on low battery but hopefully the battery will settle down after a few charges (and this is a sign of an accurate battery meter) Ignore the bad reviews comparing to iphones this phone is amazing for looks, fun and features and its surprisingly easy to use. Excellent

Ok put the phone in the other way round and then the three buttons on the bottom are exposed, somebody goofed. The battery life isnt great and the limited choice of text ringtones is annoying but i can live with it. Also the media player isnt all that good as you can either listen to music in alphabetical order or on shuffle, theres no other option like making a playlist or anything. Nonetheless, its a great stylish phone with a very good touchscreen interface that i love. would definately recommend. in response to craig: I think the "sim card" is in fact representing a memory card as on mine it appeared when i selected save photos etc to memory card. Also the "no more texts on SIM" occurs when you have over 20 texts saved to the SIM card. The phone automatically saves messages to the SIM card when it reaches 300 txts, all you need to do to get rid of it is delete some of the text messages in your in/outbox with a SIM card next to it. I havnt yet found a way to transfer messages from the sim card to the phone. overall i love this phone and would definately recommend

This phone is all style over content. It looks and feels pretty nice in the hand, but a bit cheap compared to say a SE W880i. It's offers no compelling use for the big touch screen and it just make navigating the phone hard work. I guess you could say it makes using the camera nicer, but I found the controls fiddly. It does not have 3G, which might have been its saving grace, making use of the big screen to view the web. Although the OS looks lovely (think Apple rip off) the are some glaring mistakes. For example, start to compose a text message using the t9 predictive text mode. Now add a new word to the dictionary, you make a mistake (which happens quite often unless you have pin fingers), now try to delete the last character you entered - you can't! You have to cancel and start again! Or hows about telephone banking, when the automated system asks you for character x and y from your password? Well LG does not show the alphabetic characters on the numeric "keys" w hen you are on a call so you have to remember the positions (or keep a phone with a normal keypad handy for reference)! Verdict: A phone for poseurs. If you want sleek and small get a W880i (or possibly a Nokia 8600) if you want a phone with a nice big screen and a class beating camera get an Nokia N95. If you must have a touch screen, wait for the Apple iPhone

Having mostly had Sony Ericcson phones, I thought it was time for a change and the Prada was it. A slick looking 'girls' phone which I had for 3 weeks; gave it a try, then gave it back!! It looks beautiful but sadly doesn't have a patch on the competition for its functions. Firstly, seeing the screen in the daylight is a job in itself - very frustrating having to text under a tree! Also, any automated system i.e. telephone banking, booking trains etc is impossible as there is no keypad to select your choices (big no no for me - however, I just read something earlier that suggests it is possible, ah well). What else, oh yes, the camera quality is embarrasing for 2.0 mega pix - I don't understand, is it me? Also, when using the camera, the touchscreen becomes very unresponsive when trying to scroll through the gallery. I've ended up tapping it REALLY HARD to get it to move. You don't get many pictures either. The FM radio doesn't allow you to actually mark sel ected stations by their name, it just marks them by a number - what's all that about in this day and age? Contacts are listed individually i.e. Fred Bloggs/H, Fred Bloggs/M that's so dark ages! Also, I found that contact information was filed differently and had to go in and change everything manually. Snor! Forever cleaning it - however the leather case does make the phone look slick. Freezing when receiving pictures, and turning itself off mid flow in conversation. oh please. Not very loud ringtones either, I slept though the alarm a couple of times. No charm in the box but who cares? I want a phone that works as well as looking good! It's a shame, I pestered my provider to give me this phone by free upgrade (which they did) and sadly I had to return it with my tail between my legs. I'll have another try when my 18 month contract is up and my Sony Ericsson K810i (which is fab by the way) has done its time. If Prada worked in conjunction with say, Ericsson rather t han LG then it would definately be a sucess story. Miss you Prada x

The touch screen is also dificult to use for texting and I text far less often as I can't be bothered with the hassle of trying to text with the touch screen. Phone looks great - but is useless!
