There is no zoom on the camera. The only touchscreen is when you dial, totally ridiculous. After a few months, it would randomly shut off on you. The phone also shuts off when you are trying to reply to one text message and an there is an incoming one. Receiving multiple texts is very bad on this phone. Love the keyboard! So easy to text with. I have trouble hearing the other person the first twenty seconds when I call them. No wi-fi. Cannot send data from laptop to phone via bluetooth. Rating: Reviewed by AndyJ on 09/03/2010 After having the lg ks360 for approx 8 months ive had no real major issues with this phone just the usual phone resetting itself when trying to use the orange messenger. with my last phone being a nokia n95 i bought this phone thinking it was a smart phone which it advertised as THOUGHT WRONG! cause im so used to my phones with a proper operating system on them like symbian i was kinda disapointed in some ways. apart from that the phone is good the keyboard is excellent some of the features aint half bad but think my next phone will be a real smart phone as im a bit of a tech geek lol. my advise is this if you want a fun texting phone with occasional internet use this phone is great for that but if you a heavy mobi user then ya better with the top end phones of lg,SE,moto,or even nokia's n900 linux pc phone :) Rating: Reviewed by jill on 08/03/2010 cool phone:) i love it. the features are awesome only that i'm now having problems with the vids i took. it says there: not supported while i took it on the phone itself. crazee. i have it for two weeks now and im sooo inlove with it. i wonder how long it can go :) i love LG phones. Four major problems I've had with it: 1) It turns itself off at random times. 2) It is *very* slow to get started. 3) You can be heard but can't hear anything for the first 10 seconds or so of any phone call. 4) The final straw- the screen has just completely died on me. I have only had it a week but it does what it says on the tin . It really gets my back up when people moan about the slightest little things : The qwerty keyboards too small , it's a compact phone that sits in your hand, if you want a keyboard full size buy a laptop . Then there's the camera's poor quality, then buy a digital camera . Oh and then they moan about the lack of touch screen facilities, yes you know what I'm going to say, buy a full touch screen phone. I can't fault this cool little phone, it's great for the texters, a little number touchscreen, the camera is pretty good for what it is and the cool animal packages on orange are great so you can choose which great deals you like and can change them to suit each month . All in all 10/10 ..... Rating: Reviewed by Georgia on 04/03/2010 ive recently brought this phone after looking at all the amazing reviews and i wish i never!! at 1st it was the best phone i had, had! it was fast, the layout of the keys was sooo easy to use whilst texting, i loved how the screen change from one side to the other depending if it was open....... a few weeks of owning it, i brought a memory card so i could put songs on it, took me nearly 2 hours!!!! to figure out how when i put them on my phone they wasnt there, alot of pee arseing around!! then i type quite quickly and it really can't keep up!!!! and sometimes the o k l and m decide to kick into up down left right mode so as im texting it flys around the page and i have sentances where there not supposed to, it turns it self off if u send a text and receive one at the same time, constantly freezes, the only good thing about this phone is the battery life! i can charge it up on a "monday" and it will Last til the wednesday eve, thursday morning and thats with a constant use! for anyone who's thinking of buying one! Don't!!! stick with a sony erricsson or nokia!! I only ordered it because I wanted to see for myself all the apparent 'problems' people have with it. I have had the phone for 3 months now and not one problem has occurred. Its stylist, fun, fast and an incredibly good buy. I would definately recommend. However, the only thing I would say is that somebody with rather chubby fingers would struggle on this phone - I have very small hands, however people with larger hands would struggle with the keyboard. I love this phone. The texting is veryy quick and easy. Alot better than my old phone. My friend has also got one the same, she thinks hers is great aswell. I got it last summer and LOVED it it was my favourite phone and three of my friends had it as well... we all loved them but then two my friends malfunctioned in the same way: not showing when you have a text, randomly deleting texts and the worse thing, turning off randomly when it was fully charged.. i thought it was just a coincidence but then mine started doing it as well :/ and then my last friends! luckily it was still in guarantee so i got a full refund but... it happened to FOUR of us , not a coincidence i think! just advice, if you get it you could keep having it repaired but i didn't think it was worth it so i've got the lg GW300 Etna now :D i love it, and no malfunctions so far!! :) xx Rating: Reviewed by Sam on 22/02/2010 It seems like loads of people on this have had the same problem, DONT BUY THIS PHONE!!! its a waste of money, after a few months of awesomeness the texting gos weird and jumps to the line above if you type too fast. It becomes unresponsive and takes ages to recognise you have pressed a button, all the buttons become stiff and make loud clicking noise. Let alone the fact that it constantly turns off even when fully charged. PLUS it doesnt recognise if you have recieved a text and says the inbox is full even when its not :/ i loved this phone but was soon disappointed with it. The same happened to two other people i know with this phone. The phone turns off randomly and recently, it has kept removing the sim card (whenever jolted, etc) and freezing on the "Boost Mobile" screen when turning on. It also says the text message memory is full, when it it empty! Not a recommended buy! Rating: Reviewed by Nat on 17/02/2010 i got this phone around the time it came out- Oct 2008 (: i think it is a really good phone. the design and colours are awesome, the mp3 player is good quality, but you need a memory card though because the phone memory isnt very big- when you have a memory card you can store loads on the phone. the camera was ok at first but for some reason, the pic quality got a little worse after some time & the video recorder isnt fantastic but i have a camera for both those things anway. i love the keyboard, it makes it so easy to type and the touch screen for calling is pretty cool but its the only touch screen thing on the phone. it has all the normal functions that a phone has, it has easy acess to facebook, bebo & myspace and you can go on msn, acess to the actual internet is ok... but its not amazing, but again, i have a computer for that stuff (: the battery life is actually pretty good too. a few bad points though... after a year or so after i got it, it began to randomly turn itself off and in jan this year the screen went competley for no reason, the buttons still lit up & it switched on off but the screen went dodgey so i couldnt use it :( but aside those minor blips which occured a while after getting it, the ks360 is a good phone :) Rating: Reviewed by BB (: on 17/02/2010 i think this phone is rubbish...it started switching itself off after a couple months of having it!!! i sent it back and got a new but the second one did the exact same. i think a £20 phone would be better compared to this one!!! Theres more than meets the eye meaning the phone is GOOD LOOKING but the phone in general is bad, meaning the battery life and the quality for example it freezes randomly, and the background is changing to blue even though the themes are orange and something else i forgot. After a while, it gets faulty, and starts turning off when you try to send a text. And it's not just me. Alot my friends and people at my school have had the same problem. Also, I find it very slow and counterintuitive in some respects. I also struggle to access email on it. However, to be fair, it has some really good aspects, it is small and lightweight with a good selection of preloaded music and a couple of games. THe qwerty texting is ok and reading threaded messages is useful. For the price it is good, but maybe only on Orange... Hers crashed even when she put it down on a surface or in a pocket etc. they are slow when going onto the menu and icon buttons and the camera isn't that good. It is good for texting but thats about it. my sisters has previously had a LG Cookie phone and that crashed once or twice before hope this helps !! Good points: -Good Speaker Quality -Nice menu layout/design -Has some good features -Camera is a lot better than I expected -Nice internet use -Keyboard is brilliant! (Once you get used to it after a few days) -FM Radio is excellent! Has very good signal! Bad Points: -The headphones that came with it have already broken (After having it just about 5 weeks!), the sound is just distoreted and has no trebel or bass. -Really laggy at times -Can't run 3D games! -Not much internal memory (12MB) -Only 2 themes, and you can't install custom themes (Unless you hack the main files of the phone, and risk the chance of destroying the phone..) -Takes around 2 minutes to load up -Freezes alot when browsing through photos. (If you have a lot of photos) -Low framerate in Video Capture -Also, it used to dial people without me pressing anything! This is one of the most annoying things!! I lost about 20 pounds of credit because it had done this without me realising! This is why I give it 2 stars, LG, GET YOURSELF TOGETHER! It's horrible, looks great and sounds great but it's so awful to use! It froze on me all the time and was very very slow!! It drove me crazy so I got rid of it within 6 weeks of buying it!! Rating: Reviewed by The Teej on 26/01/2010 Not too pleased with the phone since I've purchased it in November. The keyboard is awesome, I can type 70 WPM on a regular keyboard so being able to type very fast is an essential for me - I can't stand phones which limit this. Thankfully, this one doesn't. It does take a little getting used to but I can easily knock out 40WPM (estimated) on the little thing, which is great. Unfortunately, that's about where the love for this phone stops. Yes, it has an MP3 player. Yes, it has a browser. But, the phone is -so- slow. One thing you may have to know is that I'm comparing this to a k800i as that was my previous phone, and quite frankly it can't stand up to it in any way. Every time I go to a new menu, it takes a whole second - and that's on average. Quite a few other menus take about 2 seconds to get there, the recent calls list comes to mind. You may think "Oh, it's only a second!" but when you want to get to your inbox in a hurry, it takes a total of about 10 seconds even though there's half as many clicks involved. It's really not that great. There's a bookmarks section allocated to the "right arrow" button, which can speed up the time it takes to get to your commonly used features, but it still feels laggy. I'm a bit impatient when it comes to technology and as such want things to be zippy - my k800i did this. My Nokia 3510i did this. Even my god awful Motorola PEBL did. This one does not - and considering I paid £70 for it this is just poor form. Music lovers who have any sort of history with J2ME phones will usually use the KD Player as their music player of choice. Having this used this player on my k800i before and wanting to use it on this one, I was sorely disappointed to find out due to the extremely stringent I/O permissions on the phone, the app simply cannot import any music whatsoever. While some may cry this is a fault with the app, considering the wide array of phones this app -does- work on without any sort of modification to the app itself, I'd say this is more the phone's fault. I appreciate LG trying to protect my phone from viruses, but at the risk of dampening the user experience and not letting me just give any app full I/O permissions "no questions asked" it's a little remiscent of UAC's first outing on Vista. And we all know how well that went. The browser's pretty good, but you definitely need a data plan in order to fully enjoy the experience. I wasn't expecting a fully fledged browser and it's a shame that Youtube doesn't function fully, but Facebook and Twitter all work fine. Naturally, it's their mobile variants of course. Then again, anyone expecting iPhone-quality web browsing on this thing clearly needs a brain check. The penultimate big "irk" about the phone is the lack of proper background processing - i.e. being able to run multiple apps at once. The best thing I'm able to do on this phone is play music and check out pictures/text at the same time. On my k800i, I was able to play games -and- listen to music at the same time. Listening to a bit of epic metal while playing tetris is an -awesome- experience which simply can't be done on this phone and it's a damn shame. The truly final rk is that the music player and the MP3 player clearly use the same built in application, except there's small differences which make no sense whatsoever. For example, I can browse my music collection in the -music- player just how I arranged it on my computer, but I'm unable to add these songs either one-by-one or by folder into a playlist, nor can the music player play all the songs in a folder one after the other - only one at a time. In order to add songs to a playlist or listen to multiple songs in a row you'll have to use the dedicated "MP3 Player" also built into the phone - but the only problem with the MP3 player is that there's no way to browse through your tracks in the folders you've put them in, nor is there a way of browsing by genre, album or artist, or any tag for that matter. I can let go of the lack of tag support, it's okay, but purposely splitting functionality of a key part of the phone into two different parts is a ridiculous idea and the person in charge of UX design or whoever made this decision needs a slap. The two seperate parts clearly share the same MP3 player engine, so why there isn't a unification of functionality is beyond me. Normally, I'd just go and use KD player instead, but that's not on the cards either. As for the games I haven't bothered looking because I'm sick to death of paying for Tetris on yet ANOTHER phone. I love it, but I've spent probably a total of around £70-£80 on that game after purchasing it on my gameboy, ds, nokia 3510i, motorola pebl and k800i. Considering I'm looking to upgrade to a "big boy" variant of this phone (i.e. Nexus One, iPhone 3GS, Nokia N900) I really don't want to shell out more money on games for this phone. So yeah, there's my review. Seen as it does have the features you expect in a phone, regardless of how poorly they're executed, and the keyboard is full of win, I won't brand this phone 1/5 stars, but 2/5 stars. My reccomendation as a nerd who actually has standards when buying phones - avoid this phone. You'll be doing yourself a favour. Oh, N.B. - Don't fall for this "It has a touch screen" BS. Because, the only thing its used for is type in the numbers. THAT'S IT. The phone is currently still in repair. I would recommend this phone as a temporary.. however it's not as good as some as the other phones within the same price range, and these last longer and are less easily damaged etc. Rating: Reviewed by Kayleigh on 24/01/2010 I have a love-hate relationship with this phone. i love the idea of it more than the phone itself, the qwerty kayboard would be great, except when you write the letters start moving about like the K will move back a space and O makes you start writing on the line above. Another annoying thing is that when i ring people, it often takes like 30 seconds before i can hear them, although they can hear me, which is annoying if you are trying to make an important call as most people just give up after like 5 seconds and hang up. The final grumble is battery life..this phone is meant to be good for texting, yet if you text as much as i do, the battery doesnt even last a day. Now for the love part.. the camera is superb..more like 5mp than 2, although a flash would of been nice. the threaded view is great as you can read through conversations properly afterwards rather than having to go inbox, sent box, inbox and so on. Finally it is just so cute, not the most manly of phones so i think this is best just left to the girls, but it just looks so nice. Overall i cant work out how i feel about this phone, at times i love it, but a lot of the time i just want to throw it against a wall. However, I've had this phone less than a year and already so many things have gone wrong with it that I'm having to buy a new phone already! To begin with the phone started turning itself off if i opened it up to text too quickly - very annoying! or freezing up mid text or when turing it on - also annoying! Keypad takes a bit of getting use to, but I can type reasonably fast with it. Connectivity isn't bad, as it comes with a USB cable, and the KS360 functions well as a storage device even with a Linux system. It also means you can exchange pictures, MP3s, Java applications between the phone and PC easily. It was quite good and fun to use at first, but it started constantly switching itself off when I would write texts, and for that it is a very bad choice of phone. I am, as most young people are nowadays, an avid texter. I've been through many phones because I use them to the death. This phone seemed like a great idea and I loved it from the day I got it. However, it's been sent away to o2 to get a problem fixed that I never quite understood and as a classic LG problem it shuts off randomly sometimes. Which is annoying if your waiting for a text to come through then you get annoyed because it hasn't then you realise it was your stupid phone. Personally I think this phones only selling point is the keypad, truth be told it hasn't got much else in it's favour. I've had it for over six months now and I really hate it. with the keypad when I text, it's generally quite fast and the screen can't keep up, so the screen will be four or five words behind what I'm actually inputing so if you make a mistake you don't find out ti ll later. The 'o' button is also an arrow pointing up, and more often than not if you've built up some speed or a slightly lengthy text (maybe pushing two messages) it decides that you want to press the up button instead of the 'o' like you actually did, so the cursor will move up, and because the screen is so slow, the whole text is messed up and you don;t know for ages and you have to start again. It happens all the time. It's very fustrating. And I'm not sure if someone might be going through my phone and deleting texts but every know and again all the drafts are deleted, now I use my drafts to hold important messages, like times and such, so when they randomly dissapear everynow and again it's very annoying. Now I don't think it's someone going onto my phone and deletign them, I just think that this phone has problems. This phone should never be bought for the avid texter. Maybe for a nine or eight year old wanting to look cool with a nice phone, but at that age you realistically don;t text as often as you do at my age so you wouldn;t feel the negatives. So yeah, that's your market LG. 8-9 year olds. That's a wide market. NEVER BUY THIS PHONE! IT'S VERY VERY TERRIBLE :L I read the reviews before I bought it and some said the same as me, I thought yeah I could live with that. No, I really can't. A phone must also have the ability to remain 'on' unless it runs out of charge or you turn it off. Fail - It will just turn off at random. MP3, Video and Radio. Success! It works. And it's not just my phone, my sister has an LG KS360 aswell and hers freezes and turns off more often than mine! If you want a phone with a QWERTY keyboard I'd suggest saving for a better phone. The buttons on the keyboard start to stick after a while making texting difficult, and the buttons on the keyboard are so close together that if you're not looking at the screen when typing you'll end up with lots of mistakes made. For mine after about nine months the slide started getting stuck as well and was very stiff to open and close, making me worry about how much longer its got left in it now. There's hardly any memory on the phone unless you get a memory card for it. The only redeeming feature this phone has in my eyes is the camera, and the easy uploading to the computer (due to the USB cable it comes with), but as it has no flash the pictures aren't always good quality unless you use some form of editing on it for the exposure. Pictures are easy to download from the internet and the price is outstanding! But the let downs are that it can turn itself off rarley and it suddenly freezes/pauses randomly when your doin important things. I have had LG phones all my life and this is not one of the best ones I've had. However I would reccomend this to anyone who has patience and loves to text. Also if you are set to get this phone I reccomend Orange to be your network because I have had orange all my life and I love it plus it sure matches this phone for quality. My parent bought it from Argos and it didn't come with a sim card, so we have to go to an Orange store to collect one. Also, i bought the phone in pink, but it is more like white with the pink QWERTY keyboard. I would like to see the touchscreen having more use than just typing in numbers to dial. On the good side, the screen quality is good and i like the was your text messages are displayed in speech bubbles. The keyboard is very good for texting and the ringtones are quite good as well. It is fun to use and my friends like it too. It's not too heavy and its quite small. So much in such a small phone! I would definitely recommend it - its perfect for teenagers! Its amazing and i have had an iPhone and the N97 and they are rubbish compared to this phone. The video camera is great on it just like the camera it is really light and pocket size unlike the iPhone. When i got the iPhone it kept freezing and never had a signal... and same with the N97. I have had most great phones that cost a bundle, and when i bought this it was £140.95, so how bad can it be, really? The camera is fantastic, it's like a proper Canon camera, the games are wicked, the QWERTY keyboard is so easy to use! Even though the buttons are just a tiny bit close together, but it is way easier than any standard phone to text & email. Love the touchscreen keypad, I love pressing the buttons when I'm bored, I sometimes write little notes to myself, it's just brilliant. Rating: Reviewed by kyrie on 22/12/2009 i will save you time and bother do NOT buy this phone i have had it for around a year now. it has so many software glitches it is unreal... i got mine from carphonewarehouse and they tried to repair it and failed it turns itself off freezes all the time and is generaly slow but what more can you ask for really at its price range. the camera is resonably good although you do need good lighting for the lack of flash. there is a touch screen on it but only for dialing and writing but you cant send touchscreen texts. i love the keyboard i think it is the best feature on the phone and that is about it besides it being blue. A truly terrible lump of a device that has no right existing. Myself and anyone I know who has one has regretted being lumbered with it from day one. The KS360 is painfully slow to turn on, has a flimsy back panel that keeps falling off and the keyboard is about as responsive as a particularly stupid breeze-block. These are just issues across the board. I have also had problems such as:- The phone shuts down unless you slide the keyboard back as slowly and gently as you are able, the phone just deciding when it pleases that it wants to come on/turn off and after a very short time of owning this phone the screen just went black whilst sitting on the table and was never to be seen again! I urge you, for the sake of your wallet, hair (which WILL be torn out during the course of ownership) and your very sanity, do not buy the Pandora's Box of criminally shoddy awfulness that is the LG KS360. It is so much better than a Sidekick. The camera is 2:0 not 1:3 and the ring-tones are so much better. You can make pictures that you have taken and make them your backgrounds but you can't do that on Sidekicks and there are loads more settings you can choose from. My friend is a little clumsy and she is always dropping her phone, but it always keeps working. She even dropped it into the toilet and it is still working great. There is no doubt it is a good phone ut it has a few setback. it is fairly slow and has the tendancy to freeze up a bit but that is solved by simply turning it off and on again. it also freezes up if it recieves more than two messages as once. when ou are texting with it because the k and l keys are also used as arrow keys it tends to skip letter sometime. overall it is a good phone but dont expect a smartphone because thats not what it is, it would be better to be called a message slider not a webslider because that is what it is best for, texting :) Rating: Reviewed by on 28/11/2009 I just pulled this fashion bug out the box earlier today, charged the sucker up, activated sim... usual stuff. it did begin to do the repeatadely describe switch off on slide... i simply removed the back cover applied pressure too the corners of the battery, the slot is a tight fit and i felt an almost clicking feeling and it has been on fine ever since. however, i have had it my possesion for less than 24 hours, i shall keeping an eye on it. Excluding the the above complaint, it is a mobile telecomunications device with a querty keyboard, seems solid, the menu layout is simple and this is consistant throughout menu navigation. the camera is 2mp, some say its all about mp but i beg to differ. the lense is also key to having a good phone camera. In the right lighting, i took some pretty crispie pictures of my dog taking a dump in the garden. seems to soak in the light and focus quite well. It seems to be okay, not bad for the cash... unless you are one of the people here who did have problems then... sucks for you! Then started turning itself off. I wouldn't mind but it got to the point that I couldn't use it at all. Took it back and got poor service from Orange, taking almost a week and a half for repair and giving me the worst replacement phone during that time (which didn't even send texts it was that crappy). The camera is only 2mp but it is a very decent picture. The speaker is not mighty loud but loud enouth although i use my Ipod touch for that, but every one compares the LGks360 and the LG cookie, well i would say that they are eaquall phones, they are both as great as each other, the LG cookie kept freezing on me but had a touchscreen and that was my first budget touchscreen phone and it was a very good one at that but after around 8 months i was wanting to get a new phone that had a slideout keyboard and was layed out like a computers keyboard (if that makes sense). Overall the LGks360 is a great phone with limited things to do, if you like a phone that is easy to text and is fast and is a great all round phone then i surgest this, but if your looking for something that you can have allot of apps or functions on it i surgest looking for something else, Hope this helped ? The keyboard is a great asset for texting. it goes on the internet really well, and i love that you can change the text font to some really cool unconventional styles. battery life is great. There is a touch screen part to the phone as well, So instead of bringing out the keypad all the time then you can push the button and just touch the numbers in with no stylus needed. i would suggest buying an biggish mirco SD card so you can put music and pictures on, which is as simple as anything. Here are some of the advantages+disadvantages: Advantages -bluetooth -good camera + zoom -it has msn and facebook etc. But I can't use that coz I'm of my contract Disadvantages -when texting jumps to the middle of a sentence and starts typing in a random place -cannot text with the touchscreen - can only dial -after a while it turns itself off -no flash on the camera -cannot turn the clicky noise off wheb you take a picture (which is annoying when you're trying to take a picture in secret lol) -tiny memory -no games - just demo's -freezes quite a lot Sorry but I do not recommend this phone x but maybe that's just me x everyone else I know who's had this fone agrees .. The down side to this phone is that it shuts off either sometimes if you get a text, or simply if your doing something random like looking at your contacts or texting someone. Also when phoning somebody, there is quite often a delay of about 8-10 seconds where you cant hear the other person but the other person can hear you. So both those faults can get quite annoying but apart from that, it looks great and is easy. But i wouldnt say its the phone for me. I loved the keypad and some of the functions were cool. After a bit, it did get a bit boring and I fancied a touch screen. I don't think I had the phone long enough to experience the 'turning off' problems, though I know a few people who have this phone and are having these problems. It's not a bad phone for it's price, just not one of the best. I'm much happier with my Samsung Jet now. This problem was solved by buying a replacement battery. Now the screen has broken, it keeps disconnecting from the power supply meaning its just left black. VERY ANNOYING. It used to do this thing where at the end of any song I played it would turn itself off and then on again. It's also done this thing where if I reply to a text the reply shows up as undefined And doesn't show my caller picture. It also goes really weird if you have left it switched off for a day and recieved loads of texts while it was off, it takes like 3 days to reicive all of them. And it turned the dmtf ( I think that's what it is) off which means if your on the phone and you press any buttons it doesn't react to whatever you pressed except hang up. So I couldn't top up my phone because every time It said "press one to top up" or hear your voicemail or whatever I would press one and nothing would happen! And then it did this PUK thing where I would have to enter a code ( which was nowhere to be seen on any of the packaging which came with the phone) To use my phone again. So I called up orange and then I had to give them my 4 digit Id which I had forgotten. So then I had to take it to an orange shop. Oh and this weeks problem is the screen has gone really dark so I can barley see what i'm doing. Don't. It this phone or any other lg. I had one for about 5 months, and it spent 2 weeks of those months in my hand, the rest in the shop. All the stories that I've heard about this phone include problems such as turning off etc. I have experienced all of them. My phone turned itself off. It even turned itself ON. It would randomly exit menus. It would turn off during texting. It would freeze randomly. It would unlock itself. It would randomly dial numbers from my phonebook and ring them (with out any contact at all. Like, it was sitting on the coffee table). During texting it would randomly move up lines, move back characters, add spaces and add blank lines. It would delete everything off itself. And it used to go through two hour 'fits' where EVERY button and EVERY command would activate the 'green' or 'dial' function. Or it would just sit there flashing, accessing menus, making noises... This is where I say that LG have appalling customer support. The phone was sent to an unnamed company for repair five times. Said company fixed most of the problems, then just stopped and the problem stood. I rang LG and they said to send it to their "official" repairer under warranty... They also pretended that they had never seen the phone or HEARD OF THE OTHER COMPANY. That makes no sense. If the unnamed company wasn't part of the LG 'official' repairers, the phone would no longer be under warranty, yet I told LG that it was repaired there and they told me to get it fixed under warranty. They since sent me a brand new WebSlider that has EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEMS! Now they are practically refusing to do anything. I would never recommend this phone to anyone. Texts longer than one msg long dont come through i just get the first two words of the text, and sometimes parts of texts i delted ages ago will pop up in the middle of a new incoming text. I can say however, I find it excellent for texting and internet browsing. Playing games are a pain because it's still a new model and the existing games on the internet aren't programmed to deal with the slider or work in landscape mode - be patient though. The main reason for me getting this phone were the media functions. The camera has various lighting modes and zoom, but no flash although it does have a nightmode. the mp3 and video player is good, I've watched movies and music videos on the phone in both portrait and landscape modes with no problem. If you want to make the best out of this large screen I suggest you watchg your movies in landscape mode. With a 4gb memory card you can fit about 50 movies on there in 3gp format! I know several people who bought this phone with the same complaints. Also, the phone switches off when it wants to and probably the hardest thing to do on it is make a call... sometimes i cannot hear it dialling and if the person on the other end has picked up they cant hear me. There are two major problems with it though: 1) There are very few games that are compatible because it has to be open in "slide mode" which turns the screen sideways. 2) It keeps turning itself off. The camera is good with good resulotion, and I am very pleased and surprised of how loud and good quality the speakers are. The qwerty keyboard allows quick texting, however the memory isn't to good but a memory card will easily solve the problem, a random thing I spotted was that you could save your pictures (when taking) to the memory card because my old phone was somehow not able to do that. Being able to put in up to a 4GB memory card allows for a lot of images, videos songs etc. Last point, even though I am on 02 and the phone does not include windows live messenger, it is easily downloadable from many sites. I've had multiple problems with it. - Nobody can hear me when I'm calling/receiving - Phone turns itself off by itsself, even when the battery is fully charged! - Deleted everything on my memory card. It started off by deleting by videos, I got them back about 2 days later automatically, then it deleted everything EXCEPT my videos, and I couldn't retreive them. Overall, I have to say, what's the point in having a 'phone' that doesn't work?! I Thought it was the best thing since sliced bread but after 12 hours my screen was scratched and i found it was the cover and it come off and my screen is scatched anyway. I started to record a video and i plugged it into my laptop and it was the file 3gp and it wasnt very good because it wouldnt go into movie maker. My K key started to go funny from the begining and also keeps ressetting itself and somebody working in a shop said her young girl had one of these phones and they were told theirs a massive fault. And most of all, after a couple of months many have the problem that they cant connect to the called person for the first 30 seconds. When you called someone and they've already picked up the phone and said 'hello... hello?.. hello??' you still cannot hear a thing. You can only get into a conversation when any normal person has cut off the connection already, thinking you were a prank caller.. Also the screen is known to freeze quite long when you open & close it. I'm happy with the MP3player though. When you get a call during listening, the music stops and you can easily take your call by pressing the button on the headset, when you end the call, the music continues. Apart from those 2 seconds of joy, I would say it has quite a few practical problems. In the first place it's a phone.. One you eventually can't make calls with. I would give it thumbs down for that.. I've only had it for 3 months and about a month ago it started playing up. It turns itself off for no apparent reason even on full charge, very slow software, occasionly cuts out in a call or makes no sound at all. And mine is not an isolated incodence. I know 4 other people who have exactly the same problem in about the same time, not to mention the hundreds of others on this site! Also buttons are rubbing off already and the "touchscreen" was a cop-out. There is a touchscreen dialing numberpad but thats it, no touchscreen anywhere else. The battery life and memory isn't great either (not 1GB!). It seems that this phone is a great concept but LG can't make phones that work. Next time I'll get a Sony candybar. Much less to go wrong! The phone kept cutting out while charging and when charged i sent it off advised from where i got it from if i payed 15 pounds it would be quicker. I needed a qwerty board cos my eyesight's getting worse for texting. However, I am disappointed. I had a sony ericsson before which seemed so easy to use. It's taking me a while to work this one out. Also, the memory. I hadn't realised how good the sony ericsson was for memory. I downloaded 20 photos onto the KS360 and now it won't take any more pics nor any music. Of course I will have to get another memory stick but I'm dissappointed with the lack of memory. I seem to get a signal fine with O2 at the moment. It is a great phone, I am still busy exploring the thing but the day-to-day features are great and intuitive to operate. Texting is great, I got pretty annoyed by the normal keys, especially when the phone has no dictionary/T9 function. The big surprise (for me) is the screen that turns orientation when one opens the slide keyboard. And, I found out later, the screen is a touch for dialing numbers and texting in the old-fashioned-sore-thumbs mode. So, 100% positive about the price-value of the device. and it looks pretty cool too, even compared to the Shine. Once get used to the keyboard is pretty good. Easy to use too and send a text. If memory gets too full then phone slows right down which can be a pain and means a mass delte session on texts which can be a pain if some you do need to keep for some reason. Touch screen OK but if calling a number and then need to press buttons to transfer to right section, etc means having to open the phone up to do so as touch screen not usable then. When calling and having phone open can be little awkward at times and means learning to hold the phone right without accidently shutting up and disconnecting the call! Battery life not bad but once drops then seems to run out fast so have to keep a watch on it to ensure it not go flat when out and about. Found recently the phone locks itself up, owned it for about 5/6 months now and only way out is to remove the battery and restart it which can take a time. Contacted Orange regarding it and not able to help as to why it does it but seems to do it more and more, checked for updates and still does it so something to be aware of. Overall not a bad phone, modern looking easy to use and qwerty keyboard handy for texters once get used to it. May keep it for another month or two but feel touch screen could be better. Being tempted towards more the touch screen models to this as if dexterity problems then not always simple to use keyboard at times. Would recommend for folk who want a simple phone with some added features and looks good. Some of tones bit weird maybe just cos I am old though! A good buy and now coming down in price to be affordable to all who want something a little different. If you want to send a video message i have to say that the mms video setting isnt very long, but niether is the general video ( its long enpugh i supose)There is only 2 themes orange and black, i prefer black lol. so alltogether its a reasonbly good phone i would r ecomend it! The keyboard it really easy to use and i got used to it straight away! i didnt really need to look at the handbook its so easy to use! i would recommend it for anyone thats texts or emails or uses the internet on the go alot. Rating: Reviewed by Nicola on 09/06/2009 this is the WORST phone i've ever had the misfortune to buy! overall it's pretty shocking, but these are the main reasons why you need to stay away! - when ringing someone you will not hear anything for about 30 seconds or so, but the person on the other end may have answered though you won't know and they can hear you. - the novelty of the side-sliding feature and QWERTY keyboard quickly wore off, and i realised that it is in fact, god-awful. - a half-arsed touch-screen feature that is only available to use when putting in a phone number to dial or save, and even then it's pretty pathetic. - incredibly slow reaction time when you press ANY button (apart from when texting). too many times i've pressed a button to delete a text or file, or i've tried to call someone and it's not worked first time so i've pressed it again only for both of the pushes to finally be recognised and i accidentally so something completely unwanted. - the camera is poor and slow. - LG phones are very limited for the themes you can have your phone on (how the interface of the phone looks) so even looking at this phone is boring and unappealing! all in all, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! a very cheap phone, and the price is reflected in the functionality of the phone. also, this is not just me, i know of a lot of people who have this phone and they have all experienced these problems, especially the problem with calls and the slow functionality. It's great for texting but it ends there. You can only use the touchscreen for dialling so that's just a pretty feature that doesn't really do anything. The core memory holds like 3 songs and 1 picture. The camera is okay, but you can't ask for much more with 2 mp. Plus it turns itself off a lot, and I asked my friend who has it and it happens to her too. Plus the battery life is so not great! It doesn't last long at all. I got it for christmas and I'm selling it soon. My sisters turns itself off with no warning, as well as freezing and not turning on properly. But barely even six months down the line and it's malfunctioning already! It turns its self off when I'm texting or when its sitting inactive for too long. The battery lasts two days on a full charge and then decides to die when I need it most- ie when I'm at a pub or at work. The phone also takes quite a while to shift from vertical to horizontal which is really annoying. I wouldn't recommend getting this phone as I've had too many problems with it. I'm seriously thinking of taking it back and swapping it for a better handset. Only thing I'll miss is the QWERTY keyboard as I prefer that for texting. When a message comes in you extract the data to make a new contact or you can add your own contact by putting in the number and name. During those 2 weeks every time I charged the phone (3 times) I lost the contact details of every person I had extracted details of. The numbers I put in myself stayed on the phone but the rest dissapeared. I have had it replaced, so once the new one needs charging for the first time it's cross your fingers time. It is half the price ok not as much gadgets but not far off it. Better screen and pictures took holiday videos and pics on 600 transfered to 360 what a difference easy to use too internet slow but useable everyday when not at your pc. I really liked a few features e.g. how messages are grouped together by sender and i really liked the qwerty keyboard a lot. After about 2 weeks when the novelty had worn off, various things started to annoy me, like how quiet the headphones are especially when walkin along side a road or sitting on a bus. How hard it is to find a particular track when using the mp3 player and how it is impossible to listen to tracks by a particular artist, you may as well just listen to it on shuffle all the time. It also got annoying how you cant text with one hand (you dont realise how good this is until u cant). After about 3 weeks, one of the front buttons fell off without it even being dropped or knocked. And it also turns itself off quite often (which seems to be a problem with most people). It started to turn itself off on its own even on the day that i got it but i could deal with this. Just incase you are wondering, I am 24 years old and i really believe that this phone was made for younger teenagers. I have now had the phone 4 weeks and have sent it off for repairs. I have told them that there is software problems so hopefully they will give me a full refund or a new handset that i can then sell on ebay. I hope that I have been helpful. Rating: Reviewed by Emma on 04/05/2009 I got this phone in october 08 and it was a great phone up until now. Texting was just so easy and quick. the qwerty keypad makes it a pleasure to text. This phone is definately for people who text alot because there isnt much else to do otherwise. Up until now i thought this phone was the best thing around, but after being in a long car journey and texting my mate non-stop for about an hour it completely broke. after i sent a text i would slide the phone back to its origional state and wait for the reply. After having to close and open it so many times in one go, the screen function just stopped working. It's a disappointment really because i thought it was a great phone, im taking it back to the orange shop and seeing if they can do something but i wont get another one. I'll probably get the blackberry 8120 next. I am normally a Sony Ericsson guy but this LG phone seems to have taken to my liking on par with Sony Ericsson phones. When i first started using the KS360 i felt at home using it, like i am with my K800i. I do a lot of texting and the qwerty keypad is what attracted me to it and its very easy to use and i have big fingers. The sound and screen quality is great, not overloaded with functions, camera takes good photos. I get 3-4 days battery life. Just perfect for me. The texting is really good but the phone gets slow when using the mp3player, it sometimes turns off on its own and also whild ringing somebody u dont hear the phone dial and the person picks up u dont realise and they r talking to themselves because u think that its blank. E.g. the phone would turn itself off for no reason whatsoever and it would be extremely slow. Unfortunately, I didn't go back to the ORANGE shop within the 30 days of buying, so I wasn't able to get a replacement or anything like that. I still went to the ORANGE shop and they refused to give me a refund or a replacement. However, they did 'fix' my phone for me. This did nothing for it, however making it worse. By my experience, i would say that if you would like to get this phone, DO NOT GO TO THE ORANGE SHOP to get it. It is fine if you get it form somewhere like CARPHONE WAREHOUSE and on the ORANGE network, but if you get any phone from the ORANGE shop, then they will tamper with it in some way or another before they put it up for sale. This phone is great from other shops, but not form the ORANGE shop. Many reviews have said after a few months the phone has started to freeze and switch itself off and it has to be repaired many times however have not had these problems myself. The touch screen is a little random as it is only used for dialing numbers but its great for those who want a new stylish phone but dosent get on with touch screen. It is quite chunky and heavy but on the upside does have a big screen and keyboard. The camera isnt great and neither is the mp3 player so i wouldnt recommend it for people wanting these as main features. all in all this is a great practical phone which is perfect for young people. It started freezing and switching itself of in february. i took it in to the orange shop to get it fixed, it came back and was fine. but about a month ago it started doing the same thing again, but this time, almost everytime you slide the keyboard away it switches off. so i am taking it in tomorrow to see what they can do. i dont really want another of the same phone, because ive heard from other people their LG KS360 does the same. overall, i think this phone is VERY good value for money (£68 on orange, £78 with £10 of airtime which you must buy!). the camera is actually very good, and other day i found out how to add captions, emotions and images onto pictures using photo editing. the video camera is also good. i have a 1GB memory card and it stores more than enough than i need. the MP3 player is good, however when you play tracts i think the minimum volume is too loud! if you buy the phone on orange pay as you go, it comes with headphones -which are a bit plasticky and dont stay in my ear long-, manuels, a charger and a USB cable which is very usuful! i got mine when it was £79.99 (not including the airtime) so it has come down my £10 in 5 months! which is very disapointing, but i didnt pay for it so it doent matter! i am on dolphin pay as you can animal, so when i top up my £10 in one month i get 300 FREE texts and FREE access to facebook, bebo and myspace, which is great! overall, i was pleased with the phone, however the switching off isnt very good at all! if you are considering buying this phone, i would, but be prepared if it does go wrong! it is excelent value for money and it does have some great features! Software sux. Phone keeps freezing, doesnt support JSR82, bluetooth GPS doesnt. Drivers for data cable doesnt exists, pc suite doesnt work with this phone. Touchscreen is slow and programmed only for dialing numbers. For viewing pictures there are few views which are very slow. You cant copy files over bluetooth directly to miniSD card, so you are limited to free space of phone memory. Transvering files over mass storiage mode is veryvery slow. The memory for MMS and SMS are partitioned idiotic, after few MMSes with pictures you have to delete old MMSes. Deleting SMS is slower than deleting MMSes. If you are on internet you cant listen to music. If i could get documentation i would write my own firmware... I was reading a reveiw from someone which is a bit further down saying you cant listen to music whilst doing other things... well you can you have to click on Orange music player from the menu screen and then click on music player then all songs and then choose your song then you go on options and click minimize and there you go you can do what you like whilst you are listening to music. But it doesnt work if you just go on you sounds and play music. The only bad things i have had with this phone is that it has occasionally, randomly turns it self off it has only done it twice times to me in the 4 months i have had it so hopefully it won't do it again. The camera is great if only it had a flash, the qwerty keyboard is also great very easy to use but if you had big fingers you could press the wrong buttons as they are quite small as to keep the phone small and compact as it is, the phone is very easy to use, good battery life, you can custo mize the fonts and the font sizes and the theme so it can be your own the touchscreen is great really sensitive and easy to use and it only responds when a finger touches so you wont call aanyone while it is in you bag/ pocket even a stylus doesnt work. I would reccomend this to anyone. This is a good phone for kids comes at the right price with all the features and loads of novelties to I love it!!!! This phone is amazing. The keyboard is really easy to use and I have quite big fingers. Camera is great. Could do with a flash tho. But oh well I've got my digital camera. Even though i am only 13 which mamkes they keys seem further apart. For the price it is an absolute bargain. The dog screensaver is so funny (thats kinda a personal thing). I loved it at the beginning as i am not good a texting so the qwerty keyboard was very handy. However, during the past few weeks it just started to freeze an I had to keep resetting it. It also cuts off if you are texting then happen to get a call at the same time. 9 days ago the screen just went crazy and was covered in coloured lines. I took the phine back to the O2 shop who sent it off for repair. I got a call from them yesterday telling me the fault was due to 'accidental damage' and i would have to pay £67.83 to have it repaired!! There is no way I am going to pay this.
