This phone is really good. I was stuck between this and the LG Viewty. I'm so glad i chose this instead, it's so much lighter, thinner and compact, and the screen is a whole lot easier to use. This phone really is amazing!!

I've had the phone for about 2 weeks now. It's pretty decent for the price, that's a the most positive way of looking at it. The buttons can take its time, especially when texting cos if you're pretty fast then letters get skipped out which can be annoying. The screen is small when you text and you have to scroll up and down, and then somehow you highlight some words and they get deleted... It's really light which is nice and can't seem to find any real faults. Sound quality is clear, easy to navigate around, camera is not too bad and overall, a decent phone indeed.

My husband and I got this phone a last week and so far I find it wonderful. I'm not really into new phones, I find the old models more reliable, but when I tried this phone out, I felt comfortable with it immediately. I love the big screen and the digital key pad is very very easy to use. I initially thought that touch screens are hard to use (i'm a conservative in that sense, hehe...) but did this phone break that mindset. And since I only use my cell phone for texting and calling, this phone really suits me just fine. I can easily give this an outstanding rating but my phone has been restarting itself on its own a couple of times already so I'm only giving this a 4. Not sure if there's a problem with the software or something, but I sure hope it doesn't get any worse.

I've tried three different handsets but each time it turns itself on and off while resetting the whole phone and deleting anything I've saved in the process. Really annoying as otherwise it's a lovely phone but that's worth nothing if it's not trust worthy. Have a credit note for carphonewarehouse and trying to decide what to buy next.

I bought the phone today from CPW as well and i have got to say that for the price (£110ish with £10 credit) its a fantastic wee phone. The touchscreen is easy to use and the layout is easy to figure. The camera takes reasonably decent quality pics, which is fine by me. I like the actual look and feel to the phone. It's nice n light and feels right in your hand but the texting is a bit of a menace at times. I always seem to hit the "Backspace" button but once you get the hang of it, its fine. I walked out the shop with this, orange sim with £10 and a 4gb sd card for less that £120 and am very happy with it.

This phone is fantastic. Value for money nothing can beat it. Some people happen to compare it with the Iphone, you must take into consideration the price difference. There's a saying you pay for what you get, this is the case with the Iphone however with the Cookie you get way, way more. Some advantages the cookie has over the Iphone is the camera. Although it is not your latest 8 megapixel camera phone it has a 3 megapixel camera whereas the Iphone has a 2 megapixel camera considering the price difference cookie is winner for sure. Also the cookie has a built in stylus which the Iphone doesn't have. Of course you will look at the Iphone and say wait a minute it has an application store and 3G internet etc. Yes it does but for the price people pay is it really worth all of that? Also for looks to be honest both phones look sophisticated and stylish so there is no real difference there. But remember for under £100 the cookie does more than what it says on the tin it gives you extra, but the Iphone gives you what it says!

I purchased the 'Cookie' last week from the CFW, but with 24 hours the software started to play up. The phone keeps rebooting itself and turning itself on and off. I spoke with LG who confirmed it was a software fault, saying to return it to the CFW. Now the 2nd problem has begun as the CFW are refusing to 1/ exchange it for another handset, 2/ refund me and 3/ to even take it away for repair. Now I am left with £100 of faulty phone. I have reported the CFW to Trading Standards and BBC 'Watchdog'.

Bought the cookie a month ago from cpw.Loved it until it kept shutting down and then starting up again whilst accessing messages, swapped it but the new one i couldn't turn off the start up/shutdown tones. Clearly software glitches need addressing.Dont buy one until these have been sorted out. the qwerty texting was brilliant. swapped for a Nokia 6500 slide. Really put me off LG phones as it was my first one.

Hi, I bought this mobile last week and its really worth the price of it.Its Excellent in terms of Looks, touch screen features, weight, size,Price and Compatability. Sound quality is NOT that great but its manageable. Functionality looks Great. I have not yet tried synching my outlook but I am easily able to connect it with my Vista SP1. I have tried opening PDF's,MS Word and MS Excel on Cookie and it opens up without any errors. this works as promissed.Only thing is that you can not create any documents in Cookie. One thing that I found strange is DELETING a MEETING/APPOINTMENT in Calendar which I could not achieve. But I might not be knowing the right way of doing it. Since I am exploring my Cookie. Moreover on LG site there are many FREE downloads (Wallpapers,Games,Applications) available for this which is great. Battery backup looks OK to me. Only missing bits are 3G and Wi-Fi. But then in 100 GBP really value for money. People who are more interested in Looks, functionality except 3G and Wi-Fi, should GO for this phone. I would also recommend this phone for all those who are budget concious. Regards, Alok Joshi

Yes the same person that wrote the all singing all dancing review a while back, anyway. Had this phone for a few weeks now. A week after i got my first one i had to send it back due to it starting up and shutting down on its own. When i inserted a new word into the text dictionary it didnt remember it, and it made this rally loud odd noise randomly and a few other things that annoyed me. I would have got my money back but they wouldn't let me (which i expected). When i opened the box with my new phone in, due to the fact that the handset already had a protector on (which my last one didnt), and i found a piece of paperwork that i didnt get with my first one- i figured that carphone warehouse must have given me one that had previously had an owner, which i wasn't pleased about. Though with all that said and done, i still think its a good phone, gets a bit boring after a while, and i'm not sure if i can organise my photo's into folders, but thus far i havent been able too so their all piling up, and are really unorganised. But thats not a big deal. I'm starting to get bored of the touch screen though, and i'm thinking about getting a cheap phone with buttons as a standby. Its nothing special as far as i'm concerned, but to anyone thinking about getting it, you'll not regret it for the price!

Well ladies and gents after reading all your reviews I decided to go to Carphonewarehouse and to buy one for my self as a christmas present. Before I had some of the LG models (like LG K990 and some old models can't remember the model names) but to be honest I wasn't my cup of tea as I am Sony Ericsson person. Than soon as I got my hands on LG KP500 I have to say it is a great phone for the price less than £100, screen size very good 240 x 400,interface amazing and very easy to get used to it, bluetooth to transfer all your files, music player is good I can't complain, radio is cool when you get bored of your own music...so many nice and good features to keep you busy with it. Build quailty is also very good only down side is plastic fantastic but never mind, I am sure if Samsung have made model like this with all this features will cost double or more. Any way it is excellent phone, will recomend to any one who loves gadgets especially touch phones. Good work LG!

I recently brought this phone and I am really really happy I brought it. I have had no problems with it not even one and the touchscreen is very responsive and the build of the phone is very sturdy which does'nt make it feel cheap at all. The features on this phone are excellent and much better than any other phone I have come across and I had no problem in installing the software on my Vista laptop. The camera without flash is OK but if you take pictures in a well lit area then the the quality is superb. I would recommend this phone to anyone and even though the phone rating here is out of five. I give this phone 10/10

The widgets are great I've forgotten nothing since I got this phone, and that's rare for me not to forget something over 5 days. The speed dial screen is the most useful feature I can get hold of all my bbe's without one spin and a click. The best thing has been how I can turn it completely silent with no vibrations and can text easily under the table at school so teachers don't see me.
